Map My Fitness Workout Tracker Comments & Reviews 2026

Used in parallel with Strava. I’ve been trying ween myself from the app but I prefer more of the activities it offers to record over Strava. Recommend making available recent activities on Apple Watch app as is available on iPhone app. Or list the top 5 activities I participate to make it easier to find on Apple Watch. For one of my favorite activities I have to record as “Other” and resave later as beach volleyball. Would love to just find it on a list of recent or my favorites.

Inaccurate distances!. I have used this family of apps for years, despite occasional, understandable glitches. But after my past several hikes, and even flat walks, I’ve had to manually fix my distance because it was wildly short! Like less than half of what we covered, even though the map shows my route. I select Hike for activity (but it also glitched on Walk on flat pavement), figuring it will allow for stops, climbs and descents, but I don’t have the time to keep monitoring as I go. I’m trying to exercise and enjoy nature. Anyway, thank goodness for the Apple Health app, at least I can count on it for accuracy. Very disappointed in UA, I’ve given so many chances to make it work. :-(

Calorie counter. The calorie counter has a flaw in it. Although the app itself keeps track of elevation throughout the workout, it does not factor it in while calculating calories burned. My speed cycling downhill where I sometimes coast at higher speeds uses calories at a lower rate in real-life, but the app increases the rate of calories burned. Going uphill in a steep incline my speed is much lower although I am working much harder to climb the hill. In this case the app reduces my calorie count to almost zero and in some cases actually subtracts calories burned.

Good workout app. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now. Use it at least 5 times a week. The main thing I like about it is I can use it with my Apple Watch and get all the info I need while working out. There are numerous activities to choose from, boxing, basketball and even skateboarding which I use. My only complaint is since the iOS 16 updates, my watch isn’t keeping sink with the app unless I hold it up or touch the screen. It just stops until activated. Hopefully that will be resolved soon.

Awesome app and always improving. Newest update has kept me on track with weight training with the creation of workouts - already seeing improved results and consistency- also helping with my running as I get ready for another marathon in the fall. I’ve run many marathons but needed a reboot so I signed up for a training plan. The active run coaching and scheduling is keep me on track and well ahead of goal without overdoing anything. Keep up the improvements- I’ve been an active user of the app for 7 years in July.

Watch where you Subscribe..!. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Be sure you check where you subscribe from. On the App store, I was only offered a higher 'monthly' rate, and from other users found out there was a much less 'Annual' rate offered on the ITunes store. When I inquired with MMF support about the discrepancy, they claimed that it was out of their control as 'Apple' decides what rates to show on the App store. Asking for some type of credit or refund for being such a long, loyal customer they said theyd love to but that they had no control over 'Apple' App store subscriptions. But finding out there were various rates on Itunes and App store left a sour taste in my mouth, and a handful of dropped workouts had me cancel this app.

Highly inaccurate for serious training but close enough for general workouts. The oldest versions from over a decade ago had much more accurate mapping even if it was painful to draw out. Once UA combined all the apps some ten years ago and made everything JavaScript the mapping became easier but there are persistently wild inaccuracies in distances and elevations between the graphic maps and the displayed textual distances elsewhere in the app. It’s close enough for general workouts, but nowhere near close enough for serious runners. I would never consider paying for the full app.

Great but rarely works with Apple Watch. I have use the app extensively and have it paired with my Apple Watch (3rd Generation/cellular) and UA connected shoes. The app almost never works the way it should. The app on the watch will frequently crash during workouts which creates multiple workouts with inaccurate data or fails to record data. Its not uncommon for a 3 mile 27 minute run to show up as me running a 2 minute mile at some point followed by a 20 minute mile. The watch almost never syncs with with the app without closing down the app on the phone and watch, shutting off the phone and watch multiple times. Eventually it will sync with the app but old workouts will sync again creating duplicate workouts. Bottom line, if you are using an Apple Watch, look for another app.

app change NOT GOOD. I love this app as I use it to show where I am hiking. however, when I was trying to figure out how many miles and time a certain hike would take me, it told me I was walking for seven hours and went a half a mile! I thought it was an aberration, so when I was hiking the same route a couple days later, it did the same thing. And again, and again. Very frustrating. So I deleted the app completely,And tried to download it again hoping it would fix it. And now I cannot.

But. It doesn’t seam like the app is fully designed for WatchOS 6. Because it’s glitchy, like it keeps closing the app while tracking a workout, luckily it remembers where I left off. Also, on the activities screen, right next to the workout name, on the blue “color logo”, it shows 2 letter “tt”‘s. Also on the activities screen, sometimes the app freezes and crashes. Please fix especially sense I have UA Connected Footwear!(UA Hvor Sonic 2) Also, suggestion; Please support sending workout route info to Health app, and on Apple Watch please send swimming strokes to Health. Also, please put all the workouts on the phone app into the Watch app!

MapMyFitness is a good app.. It is made by Under Armour. I use the free version. In previous versions, I walked near Maumelle Park. Though outside Little Rock, I walked in a Little Rock address. When I finished, it recorded my walk in Maumelle. That was not fixable. On at least 2 instances, the app decided to pause itself. If one has the paid version, you can pause the app, drive 10 miles, and resume. My splits are different with the free version. I pause the app, go with it paused, and resume. Imagine you are running. In the split is a straight line that connects the split. When I walk, I keep my iPhone unlocked. Yes, it drains the battery more quickly. However, it gives better readings. Let me switch to the positives. I typed it can be free. I guess the paid version drains a battery faster. Every period of time (usually 1 month), you can complete challenges. Challenges give you the chance to win free things.

Frustrated - keeps turning off mid workout. Do you know how frustrating it is to have just done a workout you’re super proud about, just to look down at your app and find it turned off 2 miles ago!?! This has happened several times and I’m tired of it! Idk if it’s getting knocked off by my clothes rubbing on the phone or if it’s in the app itself. I minimalize the screen so as to avoid this but it still does it. It’s very frustrating. And I don’t like listening to the voice tell me how far I’ve just walked because it is loud and long winded. But if I don’t, the app will shut off mid work-out and I’ll never know it. Uuuugh!! I would not recommend this app

Adequate not great. I’ve used this app for several months now. Selected it when UA stopped supporting Endomondo. I noticed that the app often reported I was exercising in a completely different town. Their response was I was near that town In thinking they could use an open source GIS to correct this error). I noticed today that fixed that problem. The app no longer says where you were when exercising? It is a fix. I’ve also noticed that the app is worse at math than me. By my round minutes addition, I calculate I exercised a little over two hours with a goal of 2:30 per week. When I go to the goals roll up, it says I’ve done almost four hours! UA keeps asking me to subscribe but I can’t help but wonder that if the app isn’t right why I should pay for someone broken. It is slightly better that my old notebook and spreadsheet but not much.

What happened to the sync with Apple Activity. Honestly, up until this month, I have LOVED this app. I love the variety of activity and being able to look back on my progress. Now, since your last update, the app and the watch are recording two different workouts at the same time, then syncing both to Activity but only recording the calories from the “other” workout that appears to be a walk. I am backpacking so, I am hiking a bunch of miles with 30+ lbs on my back... the calories burned in my actual ‘hiking with a medium pack’ are correct in the UA app but that is not what is syncing. I have tried everything I can to correct the issue to the point of deleting the app and all of data that was previously synced. I know I am not the only one, this is happening to. Is there. Fix coming for this?

Distance is Questionable. Update: Months have gone by and several updates, but distance is still not even close. I see many other reviewers with the same problem. After the last two updates the distance I’ve walked is questionable. Used to be I would get the half mile message at almost the same spot when walking the dog. Now it comes much sooner and is not even consistently in the same spot.

Rucking. Back last summer, my mom got me into rucking. She has been rucking since she lived in Kentucky and injured her right ankle. She needed to find something as complex as running but also simple as walking, thats when she found rucking. I had brain surgery and ever since was trying to find something not to contact that I could do, then I got into rucking. Where you basically hike with a weighted backpack, and ever since I have loved it. This app helps me keep track of how long my rucks are. Great for when I am rucking with friends or family.

Commentary about cadence/coaching during the run is highly disruptive.. Even after turning off the real time feedback for cadence coaching, stride length, etc. a chat bot still interrupts my runs and will blurt out plenty of unwanted content over my headphones. Imagine a back seat driver that turns off your music for ten seconds at a time and gives you stupid critiques - all while you’re out of breath from hitting your VO2 max. Used to love this app until the developers got antsy and felt the need to introduce unwanted functionalities. Went from 4.5 stars to 1 really quick. Please take out the cadence/stride length coaching, or at a bare minimum make sure the ability to turn it off actually works.

Why doesn’t this app automatically create personal routines. I’ve been using this app for many years, and I’ve often wondered why this app does not automatically learn, or rather record your workout routines after you enter them the first time, and then populate them to your profile. For example, I know I do a bicep and tricep with weights, abs and legs routine once a week. My time and specifically what I do never changes. After I enter this daily routine, why can’t the app save it and allow me to use/record it again? This would certainly make it easier to select your own repetitive routines rather than having to enter details enter every workout.

Deleted for good, back to Strava. I started using this app to complement my use of MyFitnessPal and thought I would use apps from the same developer. The first 4 weeks it worked great then I guess they made changes and now I’ve deleted it forever and am going back to strava. First off they used to have segment and PR tracking and they got rid of it. Not a big deal but strava has it so I’m used to it. The big decision came from the GPS tracking failures. Every few days it stops tracking properly and will read off random splits like .6 miles or 1.7 miles despite me having it set to read off half mile splits. And my normal 5 mile loop turned into a 6.75 mile loop and I also apparently ran a 3:38 mile split somewhere in the middle. The only way to get the GPS to work properly was to delete the app and reinstall. After the third time I’ve deleted it for good. I don’t want to have to worry about that every time I go for a run. Strava has worked perfect for 5+ years so I’m sticking with it.

Overall like this series. I have the full array and overall like them. My only complaint is that on the map my dog walk they will not fix the issue of "challenges" for other versions add on so there is a number on the app you cannot clear. Seems like it should be simple- show the challenges or block it on dog walk version but they show as a known problem for over a year without fixing. Other than that- like the apps. Update. Sometimes gps is not accurate and could not get good help from them. No longer have dog walk or hike but use the fitness, walk and run apps all the time. Like the data and the challenges too. Motivating for me!

Lost lots of tracking ability. With the last update, I lost a lot of tracking capabilities. For example, the time of my walk/run is off by about 2/3, the distances are off more than half and it doesn’t show the pace anymore or number of steps. This is ridiculous. I’ve been using this app daily for over three years and it’s been wonderful and encouraging/motivational. I’ve done numerous challenges and enjoyed them but now I would have to work out all my statistics by back-figuring from previous averages per known routes and editing the stats to look correct. The only thing that seems to still working is the mapping capability. Oh yeh, and the edited workouts seem to be saving ok.

Don't auto update!. Turn off automatic updates! Especially for this app I'm seeing so many complaints about changes. You have a choice if you update or not. I've turned off my automatic updates (in settings) and check (in the app store) what an update does. If you're not sure, wait to see the responses because there's other stuff that happens that "they" don't tell you about. 😀 I've used this happily for a long time, then I've been dealing with a nasty illness for years. There were glitches but I hope I stopped on a decent version but I'm afraid I didn't.

Used to be my favorite. MMF used to be the best platform for tracking all my workouts. My favorite part is the calendar view on their website (wish it was in the app!), but I’ve become so frustrated with the lack of integration that I am ready to walk away after 10 years. I can record my runs and strength workouts in app, but I have to MANUALLY import my hikes from AllTrails on the website. It’s 2022, nothing related to app data should be manual. There is also no integration with Peloton, so I was told to use both the Peloton and MMF apps at the same time. Not great for battery or ease of use…and again, it’s 2022. I’d hoped MMF would at least be able to import workouts from Apple Health by now, but it doesn’t do that either. This platform has so much potential but I’m just so disappointed.

Permission denied on website. When I try to access my workouts in the website some of my workouts give me ‘permission denied, you do not have access to view this workout’ appears I get logged out. When I try to log back in it doesn’t recognize my password. The workouts open in a different browser. I cleared cache, changed my password, rebooted both phone and laptop and no avail. I also cannot find the send a message anymore. Only to talk with a chat bot. Disheartening.

Updated! Changes in calorie count. Updated! After much searching for solutions online I found that my weight was logged at 19 pounds on my health app in my Apple Watch. I have no idea how that happened. I run again tomorrow so fingers crossed it worked. My normal 8 mile 800ish calorie run is now being logged for 110 calories, a 2 mile run is now 22 calories. I’ve looked on several other calorie calculators and haven’t found one that correlates with the changes I’m seeing. Is there a mistake with the new way of calculating calories or was the old way massively overestimating? I feel like this large of an adjustment warrants an explanation.

Why double workouts w/ apple watch?. I like this app a lot, even though I only use it for riding my ebike. It's really good at tracking and the images are better than the tiny display that comes with the bike. The only thing I don't like is that when I'm wearing my watch and I have my iPhone on the bike, I'm getting double rides for the same time period with different stats. Is this as designed? I want to see my route and miles travelled on the phone screen but I also want to see ny heart rate stats. Is that doable in one session or do I have to have two to get all of the workout stats?

Free version is all adds. For the free version, it is almost unusable due to the ads. When using the keyboard, most of the remaining space is taken up by the top banner (thanks, I know what app I’m using) and ads, so much so it’s hard to type. If you accidentally click on one of those ads, the ad loads full screen in the app and there is no back button or close button. This renders the app useless. Even exiting the app and then coming back in, the ad is still loaded. The only way to get back to the app was to reboot the phone. To be fair, the tracking function might work really well. I never tried it because I ran into the ad issue five times just trying to set up the app for use.

Extremely inaccurate speeds and distances. I have used this app for several years both the free and paid version. Overall I have been happy with it but recently it has been recording very inaccurate speeds. The last two time that I used it it reported and recorded a speed of over 1000 mph on a stationary bike and then on a treadmill. I’m fast but not quite that fast. The stationary bike had no input devices to record speed or pace. I have a foot pod for speed and pace on the treadmill. It makes it very difficult to have a good works out with things like this. There are other apps like this and I will quickly change if this continues to happen.

Can’t be right / not enough exercises on the watch app. I used the UA Record app for a long time and was really happy with that app and the consistency of the output. MapMyFitness is just all over the place and none of it makes sense to me. For instance this morning I did 35 minutes of yoga, app indicating 65 calories burned. I then do 50 minutes of kettlebell, I which have to put down as CrossFit because all of the workouts on the app don’t make it into the Apple Watch app for some reason. The 50 minutes of kettlebell indicates 75 calories burned. WHAT?! 50 minutes kettlebell (almost non-stop) burned 10 more calories than 35 minutes of yoga? How can I trust a result like that and implement it into my health and fitness plan?

Love MapMyFitness. Updated yet again...MapMyFitness continues to be the only workout tracking app I use...had it for years and never searched for another, and it’s 100% free. Thanks for continuing to support the unpaid side with good features to keep us coming back. Updated: I keep getting app rating reminders, and it stays the same...awesome app, and the free version does everything I need it to. Love that UA continues to support so many features on the free side. Since I started using this app in 2012, I've logged 784 workouts, ridden 8,891 miles on my mtn bike and burned over 438,000 calories...being able to see this progress is HUGE. Updated: still an awesome free app. Tracks beyond the basics for the everyday exerciser without pressure to upgrade. This is the best free app I own. Older: I'm an avid mountain biker, and this app tracks everything I need to see. After a year using it, was great to look back and see how many miles I rode, calories burned, and how I tracked against others who ride the same trails.

What happened?. I’ve been using this app for years and after the latest update it keeps winking out when it hit my timer marking (I had it set to tell me time, pace etc. every 5 minutes). No voice prompt and the app closes even though I have it set to keep the screen open. It’s running in the background but if I don’t notice the app closed it reopens at that minute marker so the time passed isn’t accurate. No music either. I could use the timer came with the phone if that’s all I wanted.

Mileage not accurate. Since moving over from endomondo, I noticed this app does not track mileage accurately. I also use cylemeter app and that track’s mileage the same amount as endomond. I just turned both those apps on and took a 9 mile drive in my car, after 9 miles cyclemeter shows 9.03 miles and MapMyFitness shows 8.47 miles, not a big deal but it also drops your average pace by as much as 1 mph over a 30 mile bike ride. That has been my benchmark in 2020 to improve avg speed and I did but with the new app, I don’t trust the numbers

My thoughts on Map my fitness. I use this quite a lot on hikes and biking as it shows altitude Chang as well as the location of where I have been. This can actually be a life saver if you are hiking and get turned around as it will show where you started and where your location is now so you can find your way back to your transportation. Another time during a group hike I noticed my location was overshooting our destination so we made a hike correction and found our way to the parking lot. I am very happy with this app

Training program auto-pauses. I have been using the adaptive running training program for several weeks with my connected UA shoes. I do not get verbal cues to start a running interval. Instead, I am cued to start my interval in 29 seconds, then my music volume goes down, and no verbal cue to start running or start walking. I have to watch the clock on the app and listen for changes in my music volume to start walking or running. I have contacted support numerous times and the last time they told me I must be pausing the program. I am not pushing pause. My phone is either on my arm band or setting on the treadmill. I sent video of what’s happening to prove I am not pressing pause, but no response yet from support. I paid for the MVP subscription, bought the UA Hovr shoes to connect, and I expect the app to work as it’s supposed to. My free Running For Weight Loss app worked much better. Very frustrated.

Grate tracking app for workouts. This is a great app to keep your distance and speed. You can also bring up previous trails or distances that you want to do again and it will bring it up. I needed to lose weight and also know how many distances I traveled this is a great app for both of those things. I’ve only been using it for a few months now and I have not even begun the full potential of this app. If you want to lose weight and to know how many distances you went on your bike, run then this app is the one you want

What’s going on?!. I’ve been using this app. (Free version) for a few months and found it helpful and working fine. After the most recent update my workout timer doesn’t continue to count even when my phone screen goes to sleep. It appears the app. shuts off after about 30 sec. So when I go back in to check the progress, the app. has only registered 30 sec. to 1 min. Very frustrating! Is there a setting that was turned on or off in the update, that I could adjust? Please advise. Thank you.

Easy To Use. Great app with lots of features like GPS tracking, voice overs and a time delay start (which makes it easy to use in the rain because I can start it inside, place it on my waterproof band and once I’m ready to run outside, hit go). I also love the band that runs along the top when I’m using another app so I can tap back to it. My new phone doesn’t allow me to hit my home button through my old running band so this is a convenient work around. One improvement that could be made is the ability to remap my run in the app (as opposed to logging in online) if the GPS got my route/mileage wrong.

Really like it but!. Guys please give me the red line back, my color vision isn’t the greatest and the rainbow is only partially visible in bright sunlight or with sunglasses. How about at least the ability to choose. While I’m whining there are a couple of different poker adds and game adds that won’t go away without restarting the phone. Hopefully you are aware and working on that. Enough of the bad - everything else is great and I use it daily for tracking my walking and biking. The link between it and MyFitnessPal is great, it usually updates quickly but if it doesn’t it will eventually. The combination of these two apps is a great help in my fat boy reduction program. I recommend them both highly.

Great app! Using it with FitBit.. It's a great fitness companion that tracks a variety of workouts along with the mileage you put on the shoes you wear. The dog walk can auto pause for those dog moments so the workout time remains accurate. The real time mapping helped me when I took a wrong turn on a trail. I was able to get back on track and find my way home. So far, I am enjoying it and it suits me better than others I have tried. My only issue is the inconsistency in the coaching times. They seem to be way over or way under during the walk.

When you don't know where to walk/Run..... Fairly new and a black man in America. Why is that important, you say? It's hard sometimes to find safe places to walk/run where you don't get hassled or deemed suspect. This app is a Godsend to me because I can choose my route or past routes that have been used by others. While everything isn't about race, I'm trying to exercise & make it home safely. And the most dangerous place for a black man to be while minding his business is in the imagination of a white person.

Used to be a good app. I’ve been using the free version for several years and loved it. Last month I decided to pay for a year so I could use their “dynamic” training plans to get back to running half marathons. I like the concept of your plan being tailored to you and changing depending on your progress. Unfortunately the plans are a little too dynamic. For a specific day it will show I have to run 7.13 miles. I check it the night before to plan my route and again as I start recording. When I’m finished with the run, hit save, then match it with that days planned run, it then shows I was supposed to run 7.85 miles. It has done this several times. Changing what you’re supposed to do after you’ve completed the workout. The app is also off by ~0.1 miles, which to a runner, makes a difference on your time. Unfortunately I paid for a year, but I’m not planning on renewing my subscription. I wouldn’t be as bothered if I were using the free version, but to pay for this, no thanks.

Don’t “fix” what’s not broke. If you’re working out on land, this app is pretty good (except the timer wont auto pause when mapping a walk and you happen to stop to talk to someone. You have to manually open the app and click pause) This was a pretty good app until recently when the ability to track the number of lengths and distance for swimmers was removed. Now I have to open another app to calculate that info so I can type it into my workout notes here. I can’t imagine removing that option for runners or walkers or cyclists or hikers would go over very well. They are “fixing” things that aren’t broke.

Not a running app. This morning as i go to start my run, i must agree to new ToS to use the app that i PAID for and already had agreed to. But in order to read the ToS i go to a web page that requires me to agree to the ToS to access the ToS. And why do i need new terms of service and privacy policy to run? More to the point… what are you doing with my data that i even need a privacy policy? This is not an app for running, it is an app for data collection and marketing of overpriced ‘athleisure-ware’. I do not agree to any new terms of service as i do not feel that the requirement to agree to the thing before i can actually READ the thing is legally binding. I did cancel my subscription so no more money from me. From this day forward - this brand is dead to me.

Missing in app Music Integration. There was a recent upgrade and music integration was removed (although nothing mentioned in the description of upgrade fixes/changes). I found this official respond from Adam at UnderArmor on the Map my Fitness forum and it’s pasted below: We no longer offer music controls directly in the MapMy apps and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused. This feature had some functionality issues and did not allow you to control it from the phone's lock screen, so the decision was made to remove it from the apps for now. Moving forward, you can use Apple's native music app, or another music streaming app, both of which should function more smoothly and allow you to pause, fast forward, etc. from your phone's lock screen.

Love it!. This is by far the best app for all fitness. It syncs with MyFitnessPal for nutrition plans and gives you training plans and ideas for every type of fitness. The paid version is a ridiculously good value. No other app gives you training from super famous athletes. And it’s really really cost effective. It makes a gym membership look like a complete rip off because you can do all these exercises at home. The run training is legit too. It’s not just made up. They have experts who make the plans. The tech part of it is seamless too. The voice coaching is really helpful. I have the digital running shoes and never get injured anymore. I’ve also gotten a lot better at my goals. When I don’t want to hear the voice coaching, I just turn it off. So so so great!!

Calorie calculation is incorrect.. I notified this provider a year ago about a problem with this app and again this week. If I pair this with my phone, the calorie count is roughly half of the value on the iPhone app (if only recording on the phone). Their calculations are incorrect for the Apple Watch app and they don’t seem to care to want to fix it. A ride this week was 123 minutes long and the phone app showed 1000 calories. The watch app showed 570. Compared to a website with weight, speed and difficulty, their calculation was 1100 calories. This app in the watch is seriously off and developers don’t care.

Replaced the best App Endomondo. Really sad that IMO, the best tracking App, Endomondo, was replaced by this App. Horrible customer support, because they just don’t listen to what needs to be fixed. I ended up getting the paid version because they promised to work on adding features of Endomondo- but they did not. I can’t even get a refund for my subscription now that I want to cancel it. Their tracking mileage and total workout time is off…. By a lot. Provided proof with gps data, it was blown off by customer support. Really?? Have been starting App with a one minute delay… getting notice; start workout… just to find later that the App shut down and never recorded anything after it “told” me to start working out. I am starting to train for the Boston Marathon in a few weeks… it with this App! Sorry…. Bring Endomondo back!

Does not correctly sync to Apple Activity. I used this app for one walk. Map My Fitness accurately captured the distance and I’m hoping the pacing. It broke down the details of the splits, cadence, etc. When the data was pushed to Apples Activity and Health apps, it showed a completely different distance, pace, and only showed a (wrong) split time for the first mile. The other mile and a half never showed up. The real kicker is that when I tried to report this issue, I received a notification that I couldn’t submit the issue at that time. I wanted to use this app because it allows you to map your route out in advance, but unless I’m missing something, it doesn’t provide any audio cues for following the route you’ve mapped? I’d be better off winging it as I go.

Bugs ignored. I used the app for cycling. I would often get spikes of up to over 100mph registered. This happened with my girlfriend’s account too, so not just me. I complained a year ago and they said it was a known issue and they are working on it. Still the case today. On top of that, the speed no longer shows on my watch. Again, shared issue with others so it’s not just me. This app has become useless for anyone that cares about their data. In response to the developer response: I did submit a ticket. A year ago. Read the review. The response is even there. You don’t support the app even when we pay for it. Gave you a year. Moving on.

Heart rate tracking devices. I have been using the UA record app until I found out they will be discontinuing the app this year (even though the app works perfect for me) so I’ve been trying to figure this app out for a few weeks and in my opinion the record app is a lot better it’s more accurate and easy to use. I’ve tried to connect 2 different heart rate monitors to the app. First of all the app does not show a Bluetooth list of devices to choose from it just automatically connects to a device, then when I try to track my workout it says I have no heart rate, so not only am I missing out on my calories, but I am also not able to track my zones. I’ve also tried to connect the app to my watch to have my heart rate tracked from there, but still no luck the app will only show the amount of time I have worked out. Even when I open the app on my Apple Watch my heart rate is not being tracked. This is very frustrating and makes it almost impossible to track my progress, which is all I really use the app for. Please fix as soon as possible!

Auto pause. Auto pause do not work well, just stop and do not resumed

Mapmyfitness. Cooool! Layed down a circuits now. Loved the splits every km over my music..seamless n keeps you steady n motivated to push to the end...

Ordinary when used with Apple Ultra 2. Activating from the watch means my morning commute is recorded at 7 mins rather than 30. Fairly consistent problem. App is ok. But when cycling the phone is put away.

Best run tracker. Helps me to track my runs and improve my times

Slow walker. Just love this app I really have to be motivated & this app does that for me

Day timer. Good app but I like some other apps that allow you to delay the start by 10+ seconds to give you time to place your phone someone secure

Love it. Love it

New app. The old app that this replaced was better if you don’t want to pay the premium

Host for tracing Covid 19. I checked my settings on my phone, searched Covid 19 and Lo and behold I discover this app is hosting a Covid tracking app. This has to be a borderline criminal breach of my privacy

Incorrect amount of K's. Sometimes when I run it gets the amount of distance wrong and doesn't track it properly.

Rubbish and disappointing. If your only access to running is on a treadmill then don’t waste your money on a premium subscription. It doesn’t track your distance, you have to manually input that. It can’t calculate your splits and the information is totally useless. I changed to outdoor running. It tracks your distance except when it randomly stops. I started the beginner 5km program. It supposedly takes your running into account. It asked me to run at an easy pace of 7.25/km then run for 12 minutes at 5.25/km. Clearly their definition of a beginner is not mine. Totally discouraged and have deleted the app

Top App. Very good reliable app that provides plenty of support to encourage you to “keep on keeping on”

Continuing music. Love the App, has helped me track my progress since I started my ‘need to get healthy’ journey Is there any way you can build in an option to keep music playing when you complete your workout.. it’d be great for the music to keep going whilst doing a cool down post run..

Go back to Fitbit. A monthly fee to use this app, going back to Fitbit

Fault. It won’t let me create an account? Not sure if there is something wrong with the app?

iOS ignored, Anytime Fitness a joke. This app appears to have zero compatibility with iPhone 7. Also it cannot accurately record cardio workouts to anytime app.

Apple Watch App keeps crashing. I was enjoying using this app but the app on my watch crashes more than my old UA Record app

GPS. The GPS is not accurate. I run along the river but for some reason puts me on the other side of the river. Other than that it works fine.

Great App. Tracking is really easy, gives you updates. Great free app, happy with it.

All the bits you need. A very user friendly app. Great way to motivate yourself to get going! Links seamlessly with Myfittnesspal to track your food intake too.

Walk/run with the kids to the park do a few laps upside down push ups/horizontal pull-ups.. Good for the family and I love the gps voice on the kilometre.

Great app. Very good app, simple to use and I like the simplicity of the one button push to start.

Great app almost perfect!. Great app that includes useful weight loss tools u might find in calorie king, michelle bridges etc and for logging workouts but still want to see some final tweaks such as the ability to manually adjust calorie limit as it's too high for some weight loss plans. I just bought a heart rate strap from their shop which I hope will give a better indication of calories burnt as sometimes I feel the calories allocated for a mapped exercise or built in one such as personal training, come out a little lower than I expected. But it's great that they have compatible tools like this for more concise readings. Would love to be able to match the coaching voice with a preset map you have used that identifies struggle points such as hill climbs and coaches/encourages you along at those points. Or be able to select a map and set a goal race time with which to complete it in and get updates if u need to pick up pace to make it.

Reliable. Not one to write reviews but this app ill make that exception. Straight forward and accessible. Havent tried other running apps but have to say this being my first and only app theres no need to look any further. Probably rarely ever experienced any glitches or crashes. You cant ho wrong with it. Amazing and very supportive community aswell love it.

Great motivation. I love this app! You can set goals and MMF app will give you a plan to reach it. It’s amazing and gives that extra bit of motivation when you feel like slacking off. The only thing I would like is to be able to pause a workout from the lock screen, rather than having to unlock your phone and going back into the app.

Mapping function now inaccurate. After the latest update the mapping function is incredibly inaccurate, sometimes it doesn't even start recording the distance. Today's walk was recorded as 2km longer than it was. Hopeless.

Great way to track my MS kms and my own fitness!. This app is very functional though I haven’t looked through it completely as yet. I went on a long walk last night I think I need to stretch, lol. That is my downfall poor warmup or shall I say no warm up just get into it!! Maybe that is my strength?? The app has brilliant for my MS tracking also. We all know how the dancing went lol I’m always in trouble for something lol Thank you for providing this amazing service 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Used to love this but now only sporadically works.. Sporadically works. On iPhone X I turn MapMyFitness on & click start my workout and then turn on a podcast when I go for a run and it will just pause itself. I get to the end of my run and check my distance and speed but it hasn’t tracked anything... I used to love this app but need to find a new one now as this has been consistently happening.

Keeps me motivated. Great

Great potential but buggy. These apps have been around for a while with new versions and names coming out that essentially do exactly the same thing. I bought and paid for Mapmyride+. Then out comes Mapmyfitness that does exactly the same but with some new graphics. And I'm expected to buy it again? Also when posting to Facebook it gets confused between miles and Km. ( it also often hangs when attempting to post) I do all my training in Km, then when it posted to Fbook it does a weird conversion and makes my KM miles, then converts back to Km. So a 36km ride I did yesterday posted eventually at over 90km. I use this app a lot so it's frustrating after its been around for a couple of tears to still be so buggy. Great potential once it's fixed though.

Good app. Good app but the sound turns off every now and again which is annoying

Adds galore. Too many adds makes it hard to use. Unless you pay to upgrade the add does map and track kms done.

This app works great. Use it daily to track my walks as I like to walk different routes

Bland and average. I use the app because it links to my Under Armour Hovr shoes for data transfer. It used to be a nice app but the Bland Team attacked it a few years ago and increased the white space and black text so the screens have less data. There’s no data analytics in the app but you can analyse data in the web version.

Great in theory. But in practice not working so well for me. I keep updating but there ways seems to be something not quite right. Today my workout didn't record as soon as I locked my phone. Didn't have earphones in so I didn't realise it wasn't tracking. Annoyed.

Great App!!. I have been using this app for over 12 months & find it great for tracking & motivation. It Aldi syncs with my fit bit which is a bonus.

Awesome. Easy to use app for recording walks and runs

Mark. Won’t work at all on my iPhone 8. Have tried several times but won’t register my weight, height etc and then won’t proceed so I can use the app.

what the hell???. i cannot log in it keeps running me through the process and just keeps saying there was a problem try again later or something.

Great for alternative workout plans!. I’ve been looking for a fitness tracking app where I don’t need to enter my weight for a while - thankful to find one where it’s optional. I have a diverse routine. I swim, surf, hike, climb, gym, run…. I want to be able to track what I’m doing and enjoy my body without the pressure of weight and calories. Loving the app to help. Love the timer, comment and photo feature. Great to be able to log my own workouts without feeling the pressure of using a built-in workout plan.

My Apple Watch won’t link. I have a series 2 Apple Watch and it has been working well with my UA apps. I’ve changed from RECORD to MMF and now my watch won’t link with MMF. My watch is running OS 4.6. and by the looks of it won’t get to 5.0 which is required to run MMF. I don’t understand why these apps don’t consider older watch OS. Now I can get RECORD back so now in limbo or buy a new watch. UA help!!

Too many ads. Just too many.

Great App but no Apple Watch?. This is a great app, I like it. Very useful. But please add apple watch app for Apple watch 3 so I don't have to take my iphone on a run. Thanks

Disappointed. Why!!!!! Why would you remove the music symbol from the app in an update??? Are you people retarded or something.......How many people run or excise without music???? My guess is none!!!! I have to get a new app now.....Maybe in the next update you’ll allow music to be played through the app again!!! Who am I kidding, your to stupid for that. 😡😡😡😡

Cool app. I personally like to use the free version just to map my walks and add photos and comments. It does provide alot of other information about fitness etc, but I’m more interested in where I have gone and what I discovered 😊😊

Unsubscribe membership. Tried to unsubscribe seems like it’s impossible!! Felt like a scam!

The GPS tracker needs debugging. The app seems to be off not only with the GPS but the timer seems abit too fast at times too.

Hate hate hate!. Hate this app with a passion! Used to use Record until they stopped it and forced us to use this and it’s just rubbish compared to the ease of Record. So clumsy, cannot for the life of me get it to link to Health App regardless of the “directions” given. Deleting this and moving to something else.

Excellent way of monitoring exercises. Great app to monitor distance, pace, and map of exercises. Only thing is that I wish it didn’t have the voice summary. Or gave a choice to have it on or off.

Not compatible with I watch. This app completely screws with my iwatch. My iwatch was saying I hit all my ring and I earned badges and then something with this app completely reversed progress and I didn’t get anything. It’s not relatable if you’re a serious competitor with your iwatch.

Scam. I used to religiously use the UA Record app. They decided to discontinue that app and replace it with this. UA record was a perfect and free app. Now all of the basic free features that made me use UA record over the apple watch native app are locked unless you pay $7.99 a month. What a scam. I guess I’ll go back to using the native Apple watch app. RIP UA.

Fix app. Used to use UA Record, never a problem tracking workouts on Apple Watch. Map my fitness crashes multiple times per workout, fails to track calories burned when crashed and must be reset until it’s functional enough to save workout. Please fix

Recent update renders app useless. I love this app and use it for every walk, run, and ride. Unfortunately the recent update (version 17.7.6) causes the app to crash the second you try to open it and I've had to revert back to an older version. Please fix this soon!

Profile glitch. I noticed that the bar graph showing my distance on my profile is having some glitches. When I chose month it shows me like over 400 kilometres for each month and the year said 2020 was 2019 and 2019 was 2018.

App crashes and glitches. App sucks. Constantly glitches and crashes for no reason. Friend challenges sometimes don’t add the right workouts or adds extra time onto peoples workouts.

Crashing early to mid workout. It's making tracking my workouts difficult having to stop and check multiple times throughout to make sure it hasn't crashed. Horrible for my workout flow.

When are you going to fix the missing HR ?!?!. How long does it take to add it back? It’s been missing since November. Sent in a support ticket and was told “it was accidentally removed”. I think that was like 3 updates ago? Seeing your HR while you’re working out is essential to ensuring you can have the most efficient workout and adjust as you need. You get a one star. Have always loved the app. But this is becoming annoying now. Have started using other apps

So far so good, but with a hint of rain. I have using this app since I got my first iPhone for Christmas 2014. It has improved my relationship with distance. For instance, in allowing me to track my runs and walks I overtime I feel empowered. I know where I have gone and I can set new goals. This is an important part of growing, as a runner. I can say much more about this product, but I will leave it here. This app gives movers a great deal of personal autonomy, by allowing folks like me to chronicle journeys and thereby allowing me to set goals. Lately, there have been some technical glitches. yesterday, for instance, I turned on the app to track my walk home. When I got home, after a 9km walk, i found that it thought I was just starting. Very strange, but rare, mishap.

Junk. Had to reset my UA scale and I hadn’t received an email about the accounting and payroll admin closure. I only use my scale as a scale and not for tracking but now that I can’t download the app I have $400 worth of garbage from UA. Very unreliable company

Paddling. Great for kayaking. Even helps prevent getting lost on a new Lake.

Disappointing. Not as good as Endomondo , hike calorie calculation fail, offline synch not reliable

Doesn’t work. Doesn’t work well with Apple Watch. If you start workout on watch, it won’t actually calculate calories and the heart rate monitor is totally inaccurate. Watch has very limited selection of workouts compared to app. If you use the app on your phone, you can’t get heart rate. I used UARecord for a long time prior and it was way more useful.

Too many ad. New version has too many ads. UA - you're already getting my data for free, in exchange for the free app. Looking at other apps now.

What a waste. I used to use UA Record which was a well made and borderline perfect app. Got an email saying that they aren’t going to support it anymore so I got this. Not only do you have to pay another premium (I already have MyFitnessPal) The tracking for weight training is absolute garbage. I love UA but this was a real slap across the face.

When I share a workout it shortens the distance. Makes no sense. The distance in the app and where you shared it doesn’t match.

Excellent Tracker. Love this app it allows you to track your progress and challenge friends and family. Only thing I would I would change is the challenge you vs. 2021 I would like to see this challenge to be worldwide. Not just for the USA.

Some issues. The app is great for logging runs and such when recording while doing the activity. But when I try to use the function to log a workout after the fact, there is not option to save. Not impressed with that situation, since it means I'm not getting an accurate reading/record of my physical activity.

Rip off.. This is the app to replace Under Armor Record. Everything you charge people for in map my fitness was free with Record. What a joke. Thanks for nothing.

Ok. Great app for outdoors, but beware!- if even for a second you lose gps signal- the entire route is lost!! I just did approx. 22 km but all was lost. This app needs the automatic function to save your work, thus far, if gps is lost.

Watch version. Stopped working yesterday. Can’t get it working

Love this app. Such a supportive community on here. ❤️ Love this app!!! So motivational and encouraging.

Was great. After update, it stops after a few seconds and says “your workout has been stopped”

Functionality needed. Needs to have the ability, like Record used to, to set a workout duration and count down, not just count up. Treadmill calorie burn is way off from what used to be recorded with Record for the same duration and intensity, I am showing half the calories burned now.

Disappointing replacement for UA Record. UA Record was my go to app for working out, had all of my interests like steps, calories and diet (myfitnesspal) interconnected for great convenience, a simply brilliant app. Now it has been discontinued and replaced with this? Very disappointing, it seems like a lot of apps are going the route with premium add ons for basic data. As I said before, disappointing.

Apple Watch. I would like my movement that my Apple Watch collects to upload to the app.

Awful!. I was an everyday user of the UA Record app which was fantastic and accurate. I love UA Record and I hate MMF. The Apple Watch app is useless with limited activities to choose from, glitchy workouts that pause and then restart at random. Syncing take upwards of 24 hours. Garbage!! I wish I could give this app zero stars.

Used To Be So Good........ This used to be a good app, and I only started using it consistently when I got my Apple Watch, as It connects and MapMyWalk didn’t at the time. But the the last month, it has been missing the first 30 minutes of every workout I log. We walk 4.3 miles and 1:20 hours, and it only records the last 50mins. So if you are going to download and use this app, use the free version. I wouldn’t subscribe until they they get the issues fixed.

Buttons hidden on iPhone. I do intervals and pause the app often, the buttons at the bottom cover most of the end and resume buttons Frustrating

Walk app. Mileage is not accurate most of the time. Can’t figure out where to place it to work. Very frustrating!

To not register. If you want to receive promotional emails from under armour, sure. I have clicked on unsubscribe and entered my emails for a million times! But they keep sending me promotional emails every single day!

Heart Rate Issue. Seeing my heart rate helps with my zone and other parts of my training. This is now removed. Now I can't see my heart rate or swipe to the heart rate screen to see how I'm performing. Is there a reason why it do I have to pay to see my heart rate? This change is very disappointing.

Terrible. Workouts don’t get recorded, calorie count indicates that I burn no more than 6 or 7 calories in an hr workout that I chose from the activities list. It stops whenever it wants and the most frustrating thing is that when you want it to stop, it keeps thinking and goes on till you have power down 3-4 times and then you find out you’re workout was 9 hrs long. It’s a waste of time just trying to shut it down.

App crashes frequently during use. App is not reliable. E.g. I will ride to say work one way and it will track my ride. But the same day when I try to track another ride it stops working. I get home and the app “starts“ tracking. I’ve tried not using the countdown function but it doesn’t change anything. Before I put my phone away I make sure the app is recording/timing but when I pull it out 40 minutes later it then starts counting. 50% useful is not good enough for any product.

Notifications. the mapmy apps in my notifications in the settings on my phone state that I should be getting notifications but when I go into notification settings in the mapmy apps it says it’s turn off, fix it please

Ok...but. I love the app because I can track multiple types of workouts. However, since it is winter, I do not we’re my connected shoes in the snow...when I go to use treadmill, it has since lost the connection and will not reconnect with my Hovr2 shoes. I have to retire my shoes and reconnect them. Bug needs to be fixed.

RIP UA Record. The old UA record was my go to app for workout heart rate tracking, exactly what I needed. This is its greedy paywall replacement. If UA thinks I’m going to pay a monthly subscription just to look at my heart rate on a chart, they can take a lap.

Still crashing. I bought connected shoes and am so disappointed. The app keeps crashing. When I start a workout and turn off my screen an put my phone in my pocket it stops logging. Been months now. And developer comments to a link are unhelpful. I cannot copy the link. So I paid all the money for shoes that I can’t use with the app.and soon the shoes will be done and I have had little value for the money.

Love it, Miss the UA Band but love the new app. It works perfectly, I do still wish it would recognize weather I’m running or walking but other wise like the title states I wish there was a UA band much like the Apple Watch or an special limited UA I Watch lol...Live and Breath UA

Could be better. Works well part of the time, but at times distances are not consistent for the same route

Constant Crashes. I’ve been using this app since 2014 and never considered another. 8 times out of 10 it stops working now before a minute is up. From other comments I’ve read, I’m far from the only one experiencing this. As to why this isn’t fixed, I can’t even imagine after that many complaints. I considered upgrading to premium and have even stuck with it for a few months hoping for a fix but it’s time to find another app that actually works. After going through so many updates and yet no resolution, it seems safe to assume this isn’t anything that will be addressed. What a letdown. Almost ten years.

Too invasive, buggy. Can't accept the new privacy policy. Switching to an app that's local to my phone.

Best App Ever. If it wasn’t for this app, I would be home watching Netflix 24/7. It keeps me accountable. So grateful for my Fitness App.

App keeps stopping/pausing. I start the walk/run/ indoor bike, put the phone in my pocket. If I switch to another app, Map my fitness pauses and I have to switch back to it to resume the workout. Too often, i don’t see the alert (because the phone is in my pocket) and I get to the end of my workout and find it has recorded a few seconds instead of the whole workout. Grrrr. It’s too bad, it used to work. I’ve switched to other apps.

app is lagging since iOs 17.6 update. please look in this. photos and feed aren’t loading and the app is lagging.

Love the app. This app is amazing...by telling me my pace and speed I am able to challenge myself to improve.

Good but. Good but no option to use the side button from the Apple Watch ultra? This feature missing is making me use other apps to track my fitness.

Reliable. Love it! Easy to work with and I love being able to take a selfie. It’s great!

Bring back UA Endomondo. Map my fitness is a friendly app, but I don’t like how you cannot categorize mileage by activity. For example, If I kayak, I like to see only my kayak miles. Or if I want to see kayak and running together, I can do so. I know you can select run/bike/walk, but I would like to see it for all the activities as well as being able to interchange workouts with other workouts I am viewing

Great until latest update. Worked great for me until last update just days ago. I was unaware of the update since they happen automatically. However, the Map My Fitness app on my Apple Watch stopped working at the same time. I’ve uninstalled & reinstalled both apps on my phone & watch to no avail for a fix. Very frustrating since I walk every day. I suppose I will be searching for another app to use.

Slow. For some reason the app has started to be extremely slow. I’ll pull down to refresh the screen and it stays in the “refresh” mode for a really long time. Sometimes I’ll kill the app and try again but get the same results. Just now I’m getting an error saying it can’t get an internet connection. Which is not the case. It’s also stating “request failed”. Not sure if it’s timing out or not. It’s extremely frustrating because my coworkers and I like to use this app for company competitions.

Locks up way to much. I do not know exactly when this happened, after which up date. The Map my Fitness app has gotten so big or so buggy that it takes 3 to 4 restarts on my Apple Watch to actually open up. Sometimes records the time and nothing else sometimes stops recording all together. With my phone in my pocket and watch on my arm it takes up to 2 days to show up in my friends groups and they ask if I walked or rode in the rain because it is raining when it registers and with the current day. Love the features hate the stress of getting it to work and figuring out if it really worked

Unable to log in for two weeks. I love this app but I have been unable to log in for two weeks, either with Facebook or with my email. The support website is not working. Sometimes the app works mysteriously without asking me to log in, most of the time I cannot log in and it doesn't recognize my email-to which it had been sending weekly reports and advertisements! My main issue is the impossibility to get support.

Doesn’t log all workouts properly. It’s extremely frustrating joining one of their “you VS the year challenges” and the app doesn’t properly log workouts. My last two days of running totaling 7 miles were not logged in my yearly challenge, setting myself “behind” (in the apps eyes) on my goals for this year.... What is the point in having a fitness log or a Public challenge if you cannot properly track your workouts?!? They need to fix this update immediately......!

Over it. I have been a member for YEARS and use to pay for the premium membership, that was until the app became unreliable. I have used the different versions and they all end up the same. Frozen, stop working, don’t even start. It is beyond frustrating as this is the platform I like the best but is seems as if it is time to move on as again today, it stopped mid run and acted as if I never started the app to begin with. You would think after all of these years Map my ___________ would be more reliable.

Doesn’t work for me. Map my fitness doesn’t work for me. It shuts down by itself during my workout. Tech support says iOS sometimes shuts off apps that it thinks aren’t running. They say shut off all other apps while using map my fitness, and don’t use the power button to close the Home Screen. This didn’t work. But anyway how am I supposed to put the phone back in my pocket if I can’t close the Home Screen? If your app isn’t compatible with iOS, it isn’t really very useful. Endomondo worked perfectly fine for me but they replaced it with map my fitness which doesn’t really work at all.

Non-Premium is terrible for basic workouts. Several years ago I use to be a premium subscriber. I let it expire to take a couple weeks over. Well I injured my knee and several years later I’m starting to get back into running. Well I had my duration set to 10:00 workouts. Well as a non-premium app user, I can’t change it to turn off or which is back to 2 mile duration. If you change that, this app would be 5 stars. On reason it has 2 stars is because the voice feed back is not robotic like other apps I have used.

Apple Watch is awful, phone app ok. Used to love this app, but over the last few months the app is increasingly unreliable. Over the last month or so, about 80% of my attempts to launch the app on my Apple Watch series 3 are unsuccessful. Sometimes if I restart my watch I can get out to launch but it’s pretty hit and miss. Syncing is even more unreliable. Several times over the last year I’ve considered paying for the premium membership, but each time the unreliability turns me off. Too bad - this app has great potential, but I’m looking elsewhere.

Bring back UA Record. I was previously using UA Record, which looks and acted similar to this app BUT was more user friendly and made more sense and worked with other apps to track me sleep, which this app doesn’t seem to do. Furthermore, it worked in conjunction with MyFitnessPal to help track my nutrition, which this app is supposed to do but isn’t. I attempted to troubleshoot but the interface doesn’t seem to be working with Facebook correctly, and my account was created using my Facebook credentials. UA Record wasn’t broke so I’m not sure why they felt the need to discontinue it and replace it with this inferior version.

Map my fitness. I swim a long distance each day and the app lists that as the first of activities to do. The app so far has been very simple to use and doesn't cost me a lot of time when I have other things to do after exercise. Creating a route can be challenging, but the version of the app I use is free, so I’m not complaining.:) Since I want to be fit, but am short lately financially, it’s wonderful to have an app to help easily track fitness free. Thanks!

Under Armour Record was better. I used Under Armour record for years to track my workouts and other information. It was easy to use and was great at tracking my goals. One of the things I loved is I could watch my heart rate and track it on the intensity graph. I’m very disappointed that Under Armour got rid of the app and no longer supports it. Definitely considering abandoning my Under Armour heart rate monitor and switching to a competitor. This app is not as user friendly and is not as encouraging when tracking my workouts. Disappointed in Under Armour. Why get rid of something that people loved?

Still needs improvement. Overall great tracking app for set work outs. Not so great for lifters whose reps vary during work outs. Needs t add the ability to add reps and sets during work out tracking like the app jefit. At the moment i use both apps, but would like to use one set of apps that all sync together for a better picture of my health and training.

Great app keeps getting better. I’ve been using Map My Fitness for years as a fitness tracker and log for all of my activities - running, biking, hiking, XC skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, indoor training. I used to use a running app, biking app etc. but I find it’s most convenient to just track it all in one place. The updates make it easier to use and easier to stay connected with my friends from around the country who use it.

Good concept - connectivity issues. Within the past few months this app and its connectivity have been getting worse. The watch version of the application has stop responding, crashed or lost connection. In the matter of 3 weeks this app has lost workouts or failed to sync 50% of the time used. When tech support was contacted their answer was uninstall and reinstall the application. Even after multiple attempts at this recommended course of action it still does not work. The connectivity is was keeps this as a fair/good app from being a great app.

Challenges are not updated. I’ve been using this application for years, and rarely do I have problems with the app challenges being updated with my progress. It is especially frustrating this year, as it seems like during the last month or so not all of my workout distances are credited to the challenges. I had hoped the updates made a week ago would fix the problem but they did not.

Needs improvement. I have used this app for. Many years. I hope some improvements need to be added: When the app cannot track any moves less for a certain period of time, automatically pauses. When other audio apps are running, don’t announce the person’s activity status, e.g. how much time and how many miles you walk and the speed info. It’s annoying.

Great all around app. I'm rather anti Fitbit type trackers, but this app has a lot of options in terms of activity and gives plenty of information about the workouts it allows you to log. The GPS is pretty spot on as far as I can tell! I like the feature where you can share your workout logs and view friends, great for long distance encouragement!

Great App for Cardio Workouts. I love this app! I love the way it tracks my workouts and shows the amount of calories that I burn. I can then transfer the workouts over to Under Armor’s “My fitness pal” app which keeps track of my calorie intake and makes allowances for the workouts. This app allows you to select a slew of workouts which I also appreciate. I walk, golf walk, bike ride, hike, and treadmill thus I get calorie counts on everyone of the workouts.

Needs some updating. At times the GPS system stops working and doesn’t log your run/walk accurately. Recently, the challenges are not updating appropriately. It seems as though the information is “stuck” and doesn’t count your current workouts. I know they will fix these problems so I will continue to use.

Bummed on Apple Watch Features. The app is great on my phone, but I bought an Apple Watch so I wouldn't have to carry my phone on a run. Really wish the cool features like walk/run interval training and the training plans could be accessed via the watch. Fingers crossed there will be updates coming soon to fix this.

Wish. The app always works well. I’ve used it for more than 5 years now, and have never had an issue. I only wish my stationary bike workouts counted toward the yearly goal. When it’s too cold/too hot to walk outside, I ride my recumbent bike. It should count, but doesn’t. That is probably not an app issue; it may just be part of the program/contest. Just wish it wasn’t.

Annoying Requests Never Stop. Record any activity using this app and you must reply after you hit save workout by answering whether the app worked for you or not. This is a minor hindrance when you’re new to the app, but after 3 years using the app, it now is really annoying. You would think it would be just a simple yes or no, but you can’t make it go away so easy. Answer yes and guess what? It asks you to post a rating on the App Store. I’m sure many people just hit the five stars just to make it go away. Answer no and it will ask you why, then send you to an AI chat bot to answer any questions you may have. ZERO option in settings to toggle off this constant annoyance. And yes, I have the fully paid version. I finally decided to answer in the negative tonight, when after my workout it again asked me for probably the 500th time if I am satisfied with the app? Answer: NO!

Free version doesn’t sync with LoseIt anymore.... So, with the latest update, I see that the free version no longer syncs with the LoseIt app. This was the whole reason I used it! I am not paying $22/month for only this (I wouldn’t use the other training sand meal planning features, as I have my own). So nope, not using this anymore...LoseIt has its own exercise calorie conversion list, and although it’s imperfect, I’ll just use it. So long, MMF!

Good app.... Pros: Tracks time, distance, split times, et cetera, usually without much supervision. Cons: Occasionally loses gps. This is probably not a problem with the app per se, but perhaps they could improve the algorithm so I didn't get credit for being a half mule away at an isolated point. Also, I wish the monetization allowed for a one time payment rather than a subscription. I don't do software subscriptions, but I like the app enough that I would happily pay a onetime fee.

My Walking Pal For Years. I love how user friendly this app is and how accurate. I can always count on it to work and to store my workouts year after year. When I slip back to being sedentary, the stored data reminds me of what I’m capable of. An encouragement to get moving again, as to not waste all that effort by digression into my “old” habits.

Love it but problems with displaying current speed. I’ve been a user for over 11 years. I really like the features and the breakdown/splits of your workouts. I miss the challenges on courses you could define and would like to see that come back. Only recurring bug is that it seems to cache your speed and display what it was about 20 seconds back, which can be annoying if you rode on varying terrain.

Apple Watch won’t sync. I have used this app on my watch, paired to my phone flawlessly for the last year or so. As of a few weeks ago, I think two updates ago, both this app and MapMyRun will no longer sync with my Apple Watch. Every time I go into devices or apple permissions apple health is unchecked. I have tried resetting everything, deleting and reinstalling, even wiped my phone and still nothing! It’s a shame because as a whole the suite of apps works great but without the hugely necessary feature I will be canceling my MVP and MyFitnessPal subscriptions to find something better. UA, please get this fixed.

New update. A real problem now with the new update as the watch no longer picks up the workout begun from the app on my iPhone. Can’t follow the workouts when looking at my watch. Or two workouts sometimes is used at the same time. The app was 5 star but will look for other means if this can’t be fixed to the way it was. I’d rather not start workouts with the watch first

Route map?. I have used this app for years and I love it! However, in the last few days I can no linger see a route/hybrid map appear when I click on my previous workouts. Those were really useful for reviewing my hikes for trek training… Clicking on “Routes” in the settings menu just isn’t the same… Any chance this feature will return? If so then this app would get all the stars!

Ride accidentally pauses when switching apps!. App is pretty good but needs a UI change to make it work consistently under real world conditions. In addition to this app I use a Varia radar app, so I have visibility of cars behind me. The problem is when I swipe up in this app to switch to the radar app the pause button gets hit - and I can’t even tell it’s happened! FIX THIS, it’s making the app unusable! Swiping on an iPhone is not some infrequent corner case, it’s a base function. Or better yet, have an integration with Varia so there is no need to switch apps while riding!

Useless. If you’re going to create an app to replace a previous app, at least incorporate all the features of the previous app. My connected devices are now just expensive paper weights. Perfect reason to use Apple’s health app exclusively. If you create trash you will eventually become what you create. I’m sure some will find it useful, but if I’m dropping money on a product and service you had better figure out a way to keep it functional. I would highly recommend that people switch to a more reliable company for their fitness tracking solutions. I hear Nike has a few good options if you don’t want to use Apple.

Great app. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because sometimes I have trouble with it starting. It shows that it’s going by time but you check pace and only have lines. This could be due to where I live as we have trouble with cell signal sometimes. I do like it a lot otherwise and like that it links with MyFitnessPal app. I do wish that it gave a pace for all miles but it gives 2 at a time over 10 miles.

Great App for a Great Workout!. I got this app because of a class I was taking that recruited fitness logging, and this app has it all. I love that it does maps of your walk/run and you can also create custom workout routines from hundreds of exercises. You can edit a treadmill workout to include pace, Heart Rate, etc., and it’s a really great motivator for exercise. I really recommend it!

Frustrated. I am not sure when they sold this app or who they sold it to but ugh! Too many times the feedback during my jog is like slow motion. It can take over 3 minutes for them to give you all the stats. Doesn’t make for a very productive or fun workout. I don’t ever remember this being an issue before. It’s changed and not for the better

Not logging distance correctly. I am not sure what happened here. But until a few months ago, this was accurately recording the distance in my walks. Is there an update version that I need to download to fix this? I will change my rating once I see it has been fixed.

Love it!. For a non smart watch person I love this app! It has worked well for me as I’ve used it. Only thing I’m not 110% happy with is the accuracy of the calories burned, because sometimes they don’t match up with other fitness apps I’ve tried, so it’s left me wondering if I was under or over my goal a few times, but other than that I love it!

Occasional glitches are frustrating. 98% of the time I absolutely love this app. Today I started it and started running. While waiting for my mile stats, I knew I had run further than a mile already so I opened the app back up and it said I had only run for 8 seconds and did a Birdseye distance of how far away I was from my starting point. I had to map my whole run out after I finished to see the distance. Otherwise I usually LOVE the convenience of mapmyfitness.

Awesome App!!. Been a 'user' of MapMy* family of “free” apps for quite a few years now. I’ve recently switched to the paid subscription to eliminate ads, better accuracy and other premium features. Kudos to the UA software team for keeping the software up to date with the evolving world of hand held devices. I highly recommend this app, either paid or free versions, to anyone wanting to track daily health and fitness goals.

Frustrating!!. I used to love this app and would recommend it to my friends and family. But the last couple of weeks, the app stops working during my workouts. This is so annoying and frustrating. Going to have to look for another app if this continues much longer.

Hard to find simple answers. All I want to do is change my daily calorie goal from 1400 to 1200. I have spent way too much time on the app looking for a way to do this. It shouldn’t be that hard. Now, I try to contact customer support and they want me to sign in thru Facebook. Nope. Don’t want to do that. Why should I sign in thru FB when I didn’t sign up via FB? I’ve been a paying premium member for a long time and I need a simple answer to a simple question. Very unhappy right now. I have told so many people about this app but if I can’t get help that stops and I won’t renew my premium membership. Come in, guys. You’re better than this.

Latest Updates. I really loved this app until the latest updates. They took away the gear tracker, which I used for years. They made a bunch of changes that nobody liked and had to fight to get back. They should have left it alone and everyone would have been happy with that. So after 8 years, I am looking for a new fitness app.

Fast rollerskating. I use this app to rollerskate 4 mile at my local park. Because of the app, I know that can skate 1 mile in under six minutes and I can do 4 miles in 26 minutes. There would be no other way to know this info if it wasn’t for the app I love it. I push myself when I rollerskate to go as fast as I can. it’s a great workout!

MVP USER. This is an awesome app that I have enjoyed for several years now. They continue to improve with each and every update. The only thing I wish they would upgrade is the individual challenges. I would like to see a Cardio pace challenge. Allow user to choose a pace window would bring another element to what they have and allow a more customizable challenge.

What happened to auto pause?. This app used to be so much better. 4 years ago I did the same hike I did a few weeks ago. The app worked perfectly well years ago and this time it constantly shut off during my hike. This is what it’s been doing on all hikes for several years. It’s fine if I’m in town.

Works great, BUT!. I’ve been using the app for years, it’s worked really well. The past few months, however, the app will freeze up when I open it and I have to restart my phone to get it going again. I thought the problem was my phone, but a friend who uses the app on a newer phone experiences the same issue. Not a massive issue, but can be inconvenient.

Great App!. I have been using map my fitness and my fitness pal for about 5 years. Best fitness and diet apps out there. At least in my opinion. Both are easy to use with extensive food library and work out options. They meld nicely with my Apple Watch and apple health. Would recommend both apps whole heartedly to help you find a healthier you.

Living Longer. Love this app, keeps me motivated. At 69 with a heart condition, expecting to get this unit back in order with help from this app. Still love this app😀at 72 still going strong, hoping to get back into hiking again, this app never fails. 73-1/2 and this app hasn’t failed me yet and I don’t expect it too. Just got back from a brisk 4 mile walk, thank God there was a breeze, another hot day in Massachusetts.

Had for years. App works great, had it for years and never had any issues until this past week... it won’t upload my walks/runs into the challenge I’m in. It’s been stuck for 189.2 miles for a couple of weeks and I just noticed it hasn’t budged even after logging workouts. Hopefully it’ll fix itself- just kind of annoying since I enjoyed it tracking how much I’ve done. Now I have no clue
