SMARTSOUNDS. I really like this app and I bought it. but unfortunately there is one drawback, for the Ipad version the TRIM & SAVE function does not work, after export the program crashes if I render through this function. I would like the developers to fix this bug. Everything else is cool!

My Favorite!. Big Fan of this app. I love using it to mess around and get some really crazy colors going. I really miss the grain function though. Could you please bring back adding grain?!?

Compression ruins it. Loads luts but decreases video quality dramatically. 720p Please fix and 5 stars for sure

AMAZING APP!. at first, i was very unsure about this app. i wanted to improve my editing skills but i wasn’t sure if this app could help it. After i downloaded it and got used to all of the settings, i started using it often. i honestly live and love using the glow effect because it makes my videos characters stand out and glow. Great app! Keep up the great work. =)

One of the best. At the moment the video LUT is one of the best and easy solution for 4 K Color grading period.

COLORWAYS FOR DIGITAL IMAGES. The only issue I have with this app and it’s counterpart for the iPhone is that they tend to send me down the colorway rabbit hole for too long where I come back up with a gigabyte of new color variations for a single image or video. I also use the iPhone version on the iPad since it’s set up more like a regular camera app that happens to use color look up tables along with the typical image adjustments. It’s easy to save your own luts to apply to other images can make some truly bizarre and psychedelic editing results that may or may not be safe for sand people.

Excellent app BUT…. I use the detection mode for color correction with my color card but now that I lost my ColorRite/Xrite color checker passport I’m using one from greywhitebalancecolourcard.co.uk and it won’t detect the card. I’d greatly appreciate it if the team at VideoLUT updated the app to support their color cards, or at the very least had a manual detection overlay like in desktop apps I’ve seen. I don’t want to spend another $150 to purchase yet another Xrite Colorchecker passport if this color card I just recently purchased should do just what I need it to do🥺🙏 PLEASE and thank you!! ❤️💖 I want to be able to color correct photos as well as videos.

I want to love this app. Disclaimer: if you’re just wanting to use this app for fun, get it. I think it’s great for basic projects. I’ve been a video editor for about 15 years. Recently been looking into how much you can actually do with video editing on an iPad, and I came across this app. This app has a lot of potential. Having a real color correcting tool for iPad/iPhone would be a huge asset for a mobile professional video workflow, especially having scopes so you can really tell what you’re doing. But the export options are where this app falls short. Maybe it’s just my iPad, but haven’t been able to export video from the app without a crash. In fact it crashes pretty often. So instead I exported a .CUBE file to bring my custom LUT into LumaFusion, but the LUT looks different (darker and less saturated) when applied in LF, completely defeating the purpose of this app. I did about 6 hours of testing and tweaking today trying to figure out how to make up for the image difference in VideoLUT before export, so that when I brought it into LF, it would look exactly like I originally corrected it in VideoLUT. I got pretty close with one clip but then found all the settings I had figured out didn’t apply well to other clips. I guess I should have used a color board instead of a video clip for testing. Anyway I got sick of trying to figure that out; this app should export LUTs that match the correcting you do. That’s the whole point of exporting a custom LUT. Also missing some basic functions like an Undo button; I can only seem to find a reset button that undoes all of your work. When trying to make minute adjustments, sliders and color wheels are way too sensitive and it takes a lot of tries to actually put the value where you want it, even with Apple Pencil. This could be fixed with arrow buttons on either side of the sliders that change the value incrementally, or even better would be an option to just type in the value you want. The color wheels should have a slower, draggier tracking setting for fine tuning. And this isn’t essential, but also would be really nice to be able to resize the histogram window. Long story short: great idea for an app, but has some frustrating flaws that seem to plague so many iOS apps that claim to be pro. If these issues were fixed, I would rate five stars in a heartbeat!

Love, love and love even more. Talented, responsive and caring developer. Definitely join the FB Group Video Lut. Play and have fun with this app. The iPhone version is awesome as well. They have a YouTube channel, iTuber19 that shows some good how to's.

Surprisingly good, but need some help.... After doing color grading in this app, I wanted to export CUBE file for later use in LumaFusion. But I found the result from applying the exported CUBE file on my clips was quite different from exporting them directly from this app. And I don’t think the error is on the LumaFusion side. Even if I apply the exported CUBE on my clips directly in this app, the result will be far from what I just graded. 🙏🙏🙏Please fix it as it is such a great app, export accurate CUBE would be a blessing to our workflow. Device info: iOS 12.1.3, iPad Pro (2018) 11 inch.

The Best of It’s Kind, BUT.... **UPDATE** So looking forward to the next gen update! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — **ORIGINAL REVIEW** Definitely needs an undo/redo button. Also the ability to resize video scopes. And also adjust the speed in which color wheel edits are applied. Another great feature that would set this app apart from all others of its kind on iPad is to implement the Point and Click feature the Cinema Grade plugin for FCPX, PPCC and DaVinci Resolve have. OTHERWISE this app is GREAT!

What’s the difference between this and the other version?. This app seems pretty good so far. The one star is only to grab attention lol

Awesome!. Very impressive app! Colour wheel is very handy for colour correction only thing I would add is some kind of histogram like a parade in DaVinci resolve where we can actually see what the wheel is doing to the whole video, but nonetheless this blew lumafusion’s colour correction. fantastic for the price.

No Files import. I would rate this app higher if I had been able to access any of my videos and actually use it. You can *only* import from camera roll, which is unbelievable for an app targeted at people who shoot log. I copy files from SD to my file system. I don’t use camera roll at all. This app is unusable for me - and it would be such a basic fix.

Limited number of exports. This “paid” app has limited number of exports. Once you hit this number. I am guessing around 30? It will ask you to go on subscription. This is all good. But why not be upfront about it. And why not in app description? I feel I have been taken advantage of here. Update: it seems the app was in the middle of switching to subscription model. So all sorted out now. And subscription fee is very reasonable for what the app offers.

Fantastic app, loads of features. Absolutely love this app, which I’ve used to create LUTs easily, for video and still images. A great tool, with a very complete feature set. I can’t recommend it enough, if only for the ability to properly display, manage, import and export LUTs!

Almost the best but it doesn’t work right now on ipad 8gen. Almost the best, doesn’t want to load a video on iPad 8 gen, hopefully they will fix it in the next patch
