DAYS for lives?. I updated last night and now I have to wait nearly 3 DAYS for my lives to replenish? And the challenge ends in 6 days and I can’t even start it because I have no lives? What happened?!?!

Game won’t load. Hi, not sure if you are aware or not but after the last update the game will not load at all. I absolutely love this game snd play it everyday, can you please fix the issue thanks!

Mahjong Crimes. I had liked the game, however, I’ve been stuck on level two for more than a month. I have no idea what the story is about anymore. There is no way your going to get past it without spending money. I did purchase a time pack, but it did no good. I’m not sure what gives and why it won’t let me get the last key, but I’m deleting the game. I will spend money on games, but not if the results are pointless.

Too fast to be enjoyable. I have a bit of a vision impairment (astigmatism)but slogged thru to pt 2. Basically you have to solve the puzzles so fast I can’t enjoy them. Of course they want you to spend $ on pwrups - no thanks!

Fun but frustrating. I don’t understand the challenge event. I completed 10 puzzles with 5 stars on all. The meter at the top says to earn more stars to earn the 100 and 150 star reward, but I don’t see any puzzles past #10.

Hit the end!. Enjoy this game, EXCEPT...... I have completed all cases and the next case has been “coming soon” for months now and I have over 800 unused coins. I have sent several messages via the support link to determine when the next case would be released, no reply. If there is not going to be a next case soon, a want a refund for coins purchased. H

Not enough time!. This is a fun game with a different spin on mahjong but I agree with other reviewers that some levels are impossible to beat. I have been trying to get the key on level 88 for weeks and can’t do it—there simply isn’t enough time to clear the board, even by using power-ups, to get the three stars required for the key.

Infuriating. How many reviews have to say that the time constraints on the timed levels are ridiculous. I have high blood pressure already I don’t need any help, deleting this game before I lose my mind

Great concept but..... Most levels are timed. Almost impossible without paying. Instead of being fun it is just stressful. Very disappointing because the game has great potential. I am just tired of always having to rush through instead of being able to enjoy it. Verrry expensive.

New Case. When is the new case going to open?

Frustrating. I love this game but I agree with other players. On some levels not enough time. I’ve been stuck on level 99. Can only get 2 stars and I need 3 for the key. This game doesn’t link either. I have this game on both my iPad and my iPhone. Brings me to the same level but the coins and the extras won’t match up. I’m done. Moving on to a new mahjong game

Same Problems. The game is fun but I’m experiencing the same problems as every other reviewer. The game won’t load properly since the last update, just loops from the beginning and loading screens. The time constraints are stressful and way too short on level 88. I’ve gotten 3 stars on nearly every other level, but can’t get 3 stars on that one to save my life. I tried using power-ups but each time I used one, the game would tell me I failed because there were no more matches, thus losing my power-up. As a rule, I do not pay for in-game purchases, so unless these bugs are fixed, I’ll be deleting.

Mahjong Crimes. I am truly enjoying playing this game! My one issue is that I am unsure what those extra gifts mean. Are they usable power ups, or what? There aren't many explanations for those keys that I have earned, and some of the other gifts. Help! But, as I stated, it was a great find for me recently! Thanks, Rosemary Alkofer.

Too expensive. Too expensive to buy all the things you have to buy to keep playing the game. They get you where your wallet is concerned. Player beware. Game is a total ripoff.

Need update?!. I enjoy the game, but now it won’t let me play unless I update the app. However, there is no update to do. This needs to be fixed as there is absolutely no access to play without an update. Ridiculous.

Best game ever. I love Mahjong tiles since I was a kid and Agatha Christie as well this game is addicting

The update ruined it!. I loved the game would have given it a higher rating however the update changed the lives. Three lives every 2 days isn’t fair. I’m considering deleting the game. Please fix this issue. I’m not spending money on coins why not just make a flat fee and most people will pay for it. Also I can’t get past 96 I can get two stars and that’s it. It’s a waste of time. I really hate the fact that this game only wants money. Never mind I just deleted the game. I really like the game but when it’s impossible to get through the timed levels without spending money it’s not worth it to me. Thanks for not fixing this problem.

Great game so far. I am enjoying this game so far. My concern is the timed levels...as in other mahjong games that are free... the time limit on the levels start to be too short to realistically beat, then become too expensive to continue playing. I hope that I am wrong and this game does not follow the same pattern. Timed levels work against the older gamer.

Are we ever getting a new case to solve?. I love mahjong games and when I found this one I immediately loved it. The storyline was great and the puzzles were fun and challenging. After solving two cases I have been waiting for a new one but it never happens. Is it ever going to happen or did I miss something? The Agatha Christie case was the best of the two so far.

Can’t get through to the 3rd case. I really love this game. But in case 2 I’ve done all games with 3 stars. But on 137 I have only 2 stars. When I’ve tried to play this level several times but I get kicked out of the app. Several times. How can I go the the next case? I’m not going to buy it because the challenge is to play the game. Is this a glitch? Please fix it. I’m sorry I had to give it a low score but if you correct this problem, then I have no choice but to delete the whole app. That’s a shame.

Time levels are ridiculous. I really enjoyed this game, but as others have stated the time restraints are unrealistic. I would almost rather try and play Dark Souls with a firearm pointed at my head. I swear, it would be less frustrating.

Mah-Jong Should Be Reflective Not Hurried. Timed levels, "bunny sprints" and other gimmicks are completely contrary to both the spirit of mah-jong and the flavor a game about Hercule Poirot should have. I really didn't care for it.

The update killed it for me :(. I loved this game b/c I love mahjong and Agatha Christie. Yeah it was pretty challenging to get 3 stars + keys (sometimes it seemed like it was impossible without paying for a skill) but at least the game gives you coins every once and a while to save up for it. But with the update changing it from 1 life every like 20 minutes to three days is unreasonable. If you run out of lives now, it’s either wait three days or pay and that takes a ton of the fun away.

Great music, graphics, and theme!. I am addicted to the music. I have purchased less than $20 of coins, and use them only when I get stuck for a week...

Timed levels don’t give enough time. I enjoyed this game at first, but then hit the wall of timed levels. Once my coins were used up, the only way to progress would be to spend real money. I might have been willing to do that but I know I’m going to hit more ridiculously timed levels so what’s the point? I’d give the game just one star but it gets an extra for the storyline.

Story line. I love this game because it’s a mystery game I also love the updates and the graphics to😍

They try to force you to spend money to advance. I enjoy the game but you have to spend real money to advance to level three. You need five keys and I have gotten all the keys that are available to me and it’s only four. So to get the last key I would have to spend money. I guess I will look for a game that doesn’t try to force players to spend money. I’ve spent money on lots of games but I choose games that make it optional and don’t try to force it so much 😕🤨

IPhone now “0” and IPAD loading for years. I can't play this game. What happened. I loved it. Then it stopped and for year's says “ loading” but I tried it on the iPhone and it took out thousands of points and levels. It moved me to level 1. And the IPAD IS JAMMED PLEASE HELP. I LIKE YOUR GAME. NOT HAPPY IF HAVE TO RESTART BUT AT THIS POINT I WILL START OVER BUT PREFER TO PLAY ON IPAD

Stuck on 2. I have enjoyed the game, but there are some flaws. First for 99 you get 100 coins...or you can pay 3.99 and get 270? Why would anyone do that? Just buy the 100 coins 4 times and you will have 400 coins. All the coin packages are set up this way. Secondly I agree that it is impossible to get all the keys to progress from chapter 2 to chapter 3. I have played the two harder key levels many times, never get the key. Also I have had time bonus that didn’t give me additional time. It seemed like I had 5 seconds left, got a time bonus, but it took too long for the bonus to be added to the timer. I also wish there was a way to reread the story, maybe a button at the bottom that allows you to review the dialog and review the clues. And what is the point of collecting different tiles if you get three stars?? I would rather a bonus skill or coin that collect massive amounts of a different type of tile. All that being said I like the tiles and the challenge, but I don’t plan on spending more money to get to chapter 3.

Stinks after update. Was enjoying the game until I updated. Now I need to wait 3 days for my lives to refresh? Ridiculous. Why would I want a game I can only play every 3 days?

Will an update be coming out?. I absolutely love this game and can’t get enough of it. I’ve been waiting for months for the new case to come out, but there haven’t been any updates. Is this the end or will an update be coming? There’s been multiple comments asking for this... can we get an ETA of when this may happen?

Need more levels of the game!!. Absolutely love this game!! There needs to be faster updates though... I swear it’s been a year since I finished the second case 🙁

Not much fun. After enjoying playing the first 18 games, the fun is gone. Never win any stage with 3 stars and thus never gain any prizes or keys. The time constraints are ridiculous, the game shifts before your eyes and disrupts making matches so you never win anything. Tapping matches doesn't always work the first time and you don't have time to double/triple tap for every match. Even when there are no time constraints and you make all the matches, you never get 3 stars. I guess the point is to make you spend real money.....my reaction is to uninstall this game today.

Okay. I liked this game at first but as others have said the time restraints are tough to get by. I’m stuck in a chapter because I can’t get the keys on certain games. Also, i clicked too quickly and missed how to get rid of the frozen tiles and I can’t find anywhere to give instruction otherwise, so I feel stuck! Might delete since I can’t win rounds like this.

Too unwinnable. There are so many things this game has going for it, but I’m losing my patience with the puzzles that are obviously impossible to win. You end up wasting your lives only to realize that they’ve obviously made it impossible. Not hard, as with time limits, but not POSSIBLE. Why frustrate players like this? Game designers best beware that you will lose your fans if you get greedy. Note right now, level 8 on the Easter challenge. Don’t even bother trying...

Timed puzzles are frustrating!. You would think this game is relaxing...it is but not the timed puzzles!! It gets me all worked up. I think the time limits are too short and I’m possible to past for even the advanced players. I also wish they had a daily spin or something that you get free coins or hearts. OR with EVERY puzzle you pass, you earn/receive coins.

Update in 2020?. I absolutely love this game and have been waiting for the update for months. Please finish the game!!

What’s next?. I’ve enjoyed playing, but I’ve finished the murder on the orient express case (and gone back and earned 3 stars on every level) and was just wondering when the next case will be unlocked/available?

Game will not load. After I press Play the yellow bar at the bottom stops about an inch from the right margin and the game never fully loads. I have an iPad Pro with iOS 11.2.6.

Timed level unwinnable. I guess I’m just old, but the time allotment on the second part of Murder on the Orient Express is ridiculous, plus you have to contend with the flower tiles that add another layer when I’m already struggling to clear the board before the timer goes off. I won’t spend real money on games, sorry, so I’ll probably just delete it.

Slow poke.. Been trying to stay with this game as it has some good ideas, however the lack of tap reaction is far to slow on timed games. Many times tapping twice on the key is necessary to clear it. Very irritating with time running out. Time to delete and move on.

Won’t work after IOS update. Just updated to IOS 11.2.1 and game will no longer load. I was really enjoying it up until 10 mins ago. Will miss it

Abandoned. Developers are no longer answering any queries - not from their own Facebook page or the Mahjong Crimes page - note they have not posted anything on Mahjong Facebook page since June 2018. Game support has gone the way of the Dodo... extinct! The game is fun but players seem to have been abandoned in favour of a new hospital game which Spilgames are actively promoting. No longer are there updates or special events (which were at least every month) and no-one can progress to the 4th chapter of the 2nd mystery which remains locked ..... over 4 months now...... Another negative (which doesn’t matter if you can’t progress anyway) is the exceedingly expensive in-app purchases. I’m happy to pay $1 or $2 every now and again but $7.99 for 100 coins......

Not happy Jan. I had reached well into level 2, was then asked to update which I did, then the whole game froze, the only way to get it back was to delete the game and re download. The end result I am now back at the beginning of level one as I have lost all my data. DO NOT OFFER UPDATES UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO WORK.

No updates, app wont work. My app has not worked in 6 months. Was told to either delete it and reinstall (losing everything) or ‘wait until an update’ that may or may not fix it. Extremely disappointed as I had finished all stages at 3 stars. Whatever you do, don’t download expecting much app support, because there is none.

Couple of very annoying issues. 1 - playing on my iPad Pro and the game will only orient in portrait not landscape :( 2 - game constantly zooms in as I am playing this is distracting but worse I find it very hard to see the tiles with the zooming so it’s extremely annoying and off putting to the point I’m considering stopping playing this game. There’s no option to turn it off either :( Otherwise great game though as others have said not very relaxing if that’s what you’re looking for because you’re constantly racing against the clock, frozen tiles multiplying flowers etc but if you like a challenge then this game is great. Please give the option to turn off the zooming. Thanks

Game crashes on title screen. Been trying to play this on iPad mini 1. Game crashes after title screen. Plays perfectly on iPhone 5s. Pity I can't really see the screen properly on iPhone. Great game. Needs fixing for play on older iPad.

Pay to play. Great graphics, interesting special tiles but unfortunately not stimulating at all. Once you hit a certain level you can play for days without ever advancing. Good hook at early levels & then you hit a wall, that is unless you pay to play. Not saying someone can't succeed where I have failed for days, (make that months) but I'm a pretty good player & your game forces me to play the same level over & over. No story, no additional skills to test, just keep getting to 4-6 tiles left & the single flower, frozen tile, or locked tile appears. Always with encouragement to go to the store for a power-up. I get it, revenue producing encouragement, but nope, I don't think I'll get it next time as you suggest, without some cash up front. Congrats on the graphics but there are lots of games to play that give you a fair chance by applying persistence & achieved skill. Yours just keeps you stuck with no reward.

Timeout. I really like mahjong crime but because of the timer, you can only go so far on the game you hit a wall and you have to spend more coins, but you lose anyway. I would like the option of shutting off the timer to just enjoy the game and mystery.

Level 192. August 6, 2021 Again, it would be helpful to order the reviews by date to allow for some kind of order even if they are negative reviews. Still stuck on level 192 since July 21, 2021. Playing this daily with much frustration because time is short, not long enough and too many flowers bursts filling the screen repeatedly making this level near impossible. Seriously dang frustrating already. Suggestion: Maybe the developer should go back to the drawing board and take some tiles off this level or increase the time allowed. Level 192 My initial reviews were deleted?!? How come?!? There were 2 other posts on this thread and one is gone?!? It’s important to see someone’s progress. Update…August 13, 2021. Still stuck on level 192 waiting on the grace of GOD to win this game. Thought perchance today would have been a lucky Friday the 13th to play Mahjong Crimes and get the 3rd key to move on to chapter 5 of the game. Think again, still can’t beat this level. This game must be completely based on luck that the tiles fall exactly right to win the challenge in the short time allowed. Too many flower bursts along with frozen tiles that bombard the board just make this game plain not fair. The only thing going for players is the rabbit tiles….perhaps, there should be more of these?!? How do you gain more coins?!? I had a bunch and now have hardly none and refuse to spend money on this game. Ugh -Frustrated August 30, 2021 Still on level 192 until just a few minutes ago with 4 keys waiting to get the the 3rd star to get the 5th key to move to the next chapter. With 520 of 720 stars won and 2?hours of free play, all of the sudden the screen moves ahead to a different murder mystery. When trying to return to level 192 in the train murder currently being played, the game returns me to chapter 2, level 48 instead. What is going on and how do I return to level 192? Wow, is this game upsetting me. Ugh!!! Also, all the stars are completed from level 1 - level 48 and when I click on the chapter button it wants me to pay 100 coins to move onto chapter 2 when I was at level 192 chapter waiting to go to the next chapter once the 3 stars were achieved. Why did it bring me ALL the way back to the 2nd chapter and ask me to pay 100 coins? Dang so angry!!! What do I do? Quit playing? This is a game and not worth real money. Extremely aggregated 😡 Why has my inquiry disappeared? How do I get back to the level 192 that I was playing? Can you help?!? It isn’t fair to be so far up in the game then have to be pushed back to the end of Chapter 1 and use 100 coins to gain access to chapter 2. Can you tell me why nobody responds to my inquiry? I can’t even log onto app help as the sign on screen is greyed out. Very odd. Please help. Can you please help me get back to level 192?!? How do I return to where I was?!?

Kinda done. So...I'm on level 96. I've had lots of three star levels. Never spent a dime of real money, so it is possible. But I'm ready to delete the app because I cannot progress to chapter three because in two of the five "key" levels I've only earned two stars, hence can't get the key for those levels. I've replayed them countless times. After 96 levels I can fairly assess if I played a level super-fast, had minimal mis-clicks that plague this game, and clicked on multiple time tiles throughout the game. I've done all these things and still just two stars. So I assume the game is fixed to force players to buy/spend coins to continue (would need the $3.99 package). Nope, against my gaming code. I just won't spend real money on fake coins. Would love if game admins removed the requirement for keys to progress through the game. Eta...bad to worse I'm afraid...the latest update with the Christmas levels was fun for an hour or so until my lives were done. But then I discover that with the update it now takes 3 DAYS for one life to regenerate?? Vs old way of 20 minutes? I'm hoping this was just a really careless mistake and a fix is offered right away. But even if fixed I'm pretty sure the game is fixed to prevent players from getting three stars on all the "key levels", which would force them to pay a few bucks to get to the next level.
