Gettysburg Driving Tour Comments & Reviews 2026
Not Worth It. I purchased the App after reading other reviews, in hopes of getting a well put together driving guide and experience. Far from it. Finding where the tour starts is confusing, and don’t ask for help from the Information Desk at the Visitor Center. The Ranger informed me that the App is made by a third party and, they don’t work with them. After finally finding the beginning, I thought the App worked by GPS and started at each Point if Interest, not for me. I had to manually start each recording, missing several Tour Stops and Points of Interest. The information provided is very general and minimal. We drove by several areas with no explanation as to what they were. I would have rather bought the Tour Guide Book with CD.
Great appLocation for personalized tour!. Using this app provides an inexpensive, informative, and easy method for to finding your way around the battlefield. Much easier and more fun then leafing through a book while driving or walking. It’s full of information, easy to use, and a great bargain for the money. Especially fun for family use!
Works well. We used this on a day when the visitor’s center was closed due to the Coronavirus (Tues & Weds). It worked well for the most part. It narrated based on our GPS and we used it via Bluetooth so everyone could hear. The only part that was very confusing was when heading towards stops 13 & 14, as you go through the visitors center parking area, it repeats the beginning narration. That made us think we made a wrong turn but eventually we saw on the app that was to be ignored. We didn’t figure where to go after those stops but it was late in the day and it was our fault I’m sure. I used this in an iPhone 11 so the X to close the videos was cut off at the top but if you know it’s there on the top right you could find it. Was worth the money and was informative. I’ll go back again some day & use it again and hopefully reach the end of the tour.
Great App, GPS worked great. This is my first review but wanted to write this since I almost passed on buying the app due to some negative comments from others - this app was flawless, once we started we never had to do another prompt, it took us to every stop, gave great comments, enhanced our experience - would recommend this app to anyone that wanted to drive Gettysburg in their own car
Highly recommend this app!. Bought and used it today. It was nice to do the tour on our own time and in our own vehicle. It was accurate and also easy to use.
Great app. I highly recommend this app. Totally worth the money! The detailed directions and interesting information at each stop makes this a five star app for us. We really enjoyed learning about all of the history in the area. Thanks for a great app.
Great App for a customized experience!. I downloaded this app after a close friend told me about their trip to Gettysburg. I’ve done a guided tour before at Gettysburg and found it exhausting to stop at suggested spots, but did not want to miss out on the history. It took about 5 hours to get through. This time around I went with a group of visitors who wanted to see and learn everything about Gettysburg but were on a strict time frame. The app helped us get to some major landmarks, while still allowing us to hear about the sites we decided to drive through. Great app, would recommend to visitors interested in learning and experiencing Gettysburg in an efficient way.
Great experience. This app was a great supplement to the auto tour! $10 beats the audio cd you get in the visitor center for $30. You get about 1-2 minutes of info for each of the 16 tour stops + some more in between as you drive. Those who claimed it didn’t work must not have allowed their phone to track gps location like the directions say.
Great app. Got the app to take my 73 year old mother with health issues to Gettysburg. It was one of the places on her bucket list. The app allowed us to drive and see the sites at our own pace. My mother enjoyed the commentary, the music and the videos. Well worth the $10 to make the trip enjoyable for mom. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because 3 videos did not play (stops 1,9,11) even with attempting to restart them. But overall the app allowed my mom to have an enjoyable and memorable trip!
Way better than I expected!. I usually read all the reviews for apps before I purchase them, especially the ones that cost this much. I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t enjoy this experience but I loved the app! I’ve been to Gettysburg a bunch of times, with kids and without kids, walking and tour bus... But this was a very cool tool that allowed for freedom of movement but still related the historical information! I REALLY APPRECIATED THE GPS TRACKER! At first I thought I had to figure out all the details and tracks to play myself, but this really is a self-guided tour! Thanks so much!
Really disappointed. By far the worst of several apps I’ve used for visiting Gettysburg. Annoyingly, could not open the app without it automatically trying to play a video or audio clip. Video audio didn’t work over Bluetooth. Hard to navigate the map with dense number of markers. The settings ribbon was hid behind the edge of my iPhone X display running latest iOS. Tried to use it four times during our visit and eventually just gave up.
Great app, perfect for a quick audio tour of the park.. I was slightly skeptical because of some of the negative reviews, but not having used the app I think they were mostly people that just didn’t know how to use Bluetooth on their phones or just anything on their phones in general. App worked great for me. It’s not the most polished app, but it does what it advertises. There were a few times when it started an audio segment before the previous one ended or maybe started one that wasn’t on my route, but mostly every segment started right on time and without any intervention on my part. It’s fairly easy to just pull over and restart the segment you may have missed. We were looking for a quick and easy way to take a tour of the park as we were passing through and didn’t really have time for the museum, and this was perfect.
Absolutely Wonderful. The GPS was slightly off, but I honestly think it my internet connection.. it was a super hot day and a lot of folks were driving around. My mom has COPD and there is no way she could walk even a portion of the park to see any of its glory.. thanks to this app she was able to enjoy everything from the seat of an air conditioned car. Totally worth the 10 bucks..
Well done, worth the money. The narration is excellent, and the app does all the work for you, aside from actually drive. I was very pleased, and it’s a third the price of the official app. Even includes some music to set the tone between stops. No complaints.
Totally worth the money. We used this app for the tour of the battlefield and town. It was great and worked perfectly. Totally worth the $10! I would caution you to bring a charger for your phone. Between the gps and the tour it really drained my battery.
Skip the audio tour in the gift shop and do this instead. We first considered buying the $30+ audio guide in the gift shop next to the museum. That price seemed unnecessarily high, so I searched for an alternative. So glad I did! This app worked perfectly with the GPS; it updated automatically based on our location so it was totally hands-free for driving, and went through our aux cord with no issue. Lots of good info and detail. The only tiny flaw was that once or twice, the GPS signals were close enough that we were only halfway through the first track before it automatically shifted to the next. So I would definitely advise you to park the car just before certain auto tour stops, rather than just after the stops like we did, so that the GPS stays on track. But that was tiny compared to how wonderful this was. It’s so worth it! Download this and save your money!!
Huge waste of money, didn’t work half the time. I purchased this app after reading the positive reviews, and I was incredibly disappointed with it. I tried to use it today at Gettysburg and it didn’t work for over half the tour - the GPS tracking was poor, the audio wouldn’t play automatically even when it knew where I was, and the amount of info it provided was pitiful. Several of the audio tracks were 5+ min, but the explanation was only 20 seconds and the remainder of the time was just instrumental civil war-era music. No interesting stories, minimal detail at all of the tour stops, and the app didn’t even work half the time. Waste of money and time - if you want to avoid frustration, pick a different audio tour. Don’t ruin your experience at Gettysburg with a horrible audio tour
GPS extremely accurate!. Visited Gettysburg when we were short on time, decided to do the driving tour, found this app on trip advisor and was extremely pleased with the accuracy of the gps as we moved along the routes. Auto tour signs easy to see and keep you on track.
Not worth the money. Pros: less pricey than the audio tour from the gift shop. Gps position triggers commentary to start playing at appropriate times- this worked well. Cons: Very thin on content. I think if you printed out the entire script of commentary from the audio tour, it would total about a page, maybe a page and a half... All for the low price of $10! Did not connect to our bluetooth player in the car- my phone did using other apps, so I’m certain it was something in this app. In the end, I had wished I had tried a different app instead of this one.
An excellent tour!!. My family used the app for a tour this past weekend while many aspects of the park are still closed from COVID, and we were so pleased with the amount of information and the length of the tour. We did all the stops, both recommended and optional, getting out to read signs and walk through everything, and it took us over four hours. It felt so thorough and worked perfectly, playing everything automatically based on the GPS tracking. We are so grateful this app was able to give us a top notch Gettysburg experience, even while many things were closed.
Great option!. I loved this app plugged into my Harley Davidson and getting to do the tour on the bike. What a great way to discover the history of the battlefields! We also really liked the civil war era music that would play between the stops... so helpful letting you know where potential stops were for bathroom breaks and lunch stops... I highly recommend this app to the biker community as well as anyone that would want to do it in their car... the only thing that could be better, and I don’t believe it is up to the developer but rather Apple, would be adding support for Apple CarPlay so you could see the visuals on your H-D dash.
Good, Basic Tour of the Battlefield. Living in Gettysburg for 33 years, we’ve driven the battlefield many times. The only tour we’ve done was the double decker bus years ago. We are thinking of moving and I wanted to do a battlefield tour before that happens. The best way to see it is to hire a licensed battlefield guide through the visitor center. They go into great detail, are extremely knowledgeable, and know the battlefield like the back of their hand. From what I understand, the gentleman that is your “host” on the app is a licensed battlefield guide. We are not huge history buffs, and didn’t really learn anything new, but enjoyed the ride through the beautiful battlefield. It just never gets old. The app gives a good overview and the price is right!
Great app!. This was a really great way to experience the route! The app automatically played at each stop making it super easy to use. It also gave you re-enactment videos at each stop on the route which got you into the experience. Highly recommend this!
Helpful and User-Friendly App. I used the app while traveling with family, and it worked perfectly. It was very helpful, and made me and my family take more advantage of everything there was to see and visit in Gettysburg. I also believe the price of the app is fair considering all it allows you to do.
Awesome. Absolutely perfect. Just what we needed since we were there the hottest week in history apparently. It also rained a lot right in the middle so your app saved us. Worked perfectly. Thank you.
Great app. A terrific app for touring Gettysburg. It was well done and I LOVED the GPS featured that played at just the right time. The only time it didn’t work is when we parked once a little far past the site. If you want to go in depth you should go with a professional guide. If you want a self guided tour and an overview it’s terrific. Take the money you save a contribute back to the Gettysburg Foundation.
Excellent. This app was so fun! It was our first time in Gettysburg and we wanted to see the major sights without having to take a tour bus. This app gave a ton of info - more than the free brochure from the park, and we found the music really set the mood. We felt like we were on a luxury private tour in our own car. The GPS worked perfectly and automatically played the appropriate audio track as we approached each site. I wish there were more apps like this for other destinations. Well worth the $10.
Great Purchase!. Very useful app with a great functionality! It was easy to use and incredibly informative! Definitely recommend getting it, really makes the experience of being in such a historic place even more worthwhile!
Great app!. I had seen this app on a billboard the day before i went to pick my son from Harrisburg to have a family weekend together. I am not a fan of buying apps, but i read a few reviews that night and considered as a destination for the weekend. I couldn’t be more happy that someone has created this app. Guides you from start to finish through the area and provides information along the way with music and sounds that gets you deeply in connection with your surroundings. No need to even touch the app at any time as it automatically explain everything as you move. It even warned me that some videos may replay, as you have to go through some landmarks again to reach the others. Help me create a lifetime memory with family without any issues. The best $9.99 I have ever spent. Recommended.
Just right. Did the museum and then downloaded this app to do the auto tour. Just let it go and automatically started the next tour spot when we got there. No issues playing over Bluetooth in the vehicle. Great and very informative! Highly recommended! Wouldn’t spend the $$$ for the bookstore one.
So Great (but out of date). This App is an amazing guide for touring Gettysburg! The content, audio narration and videos are superb! My main gripe is it’s not designed for the full iPhone range. If you’ve got an iPhone with a notch at the top, you know the pain of an app that isn’t designed to adapt to the screen. The “close” x for videos is cut off at the top of the screen making it hard to close the videos. The UI over all is poor, with bits of the content not moving when scrolling through the text on screen. Come on folks, make this app worthy of the content you’re putting out!
Just wouldn’t work. We chose this app because of the good reviews. Unfortunately it quit working half way through and just wouldn’t play any of the recordings anymore. This happened several times and I finally gave up. We only got half way through the tour. I wish we had signed up for a guided tour. We would have learned soooo much more than the small amount of info provided by the first half of this tour.
Very informational!. We came to town for NYE and decided to do the tour with our family. We have all been to Gettysburg several times so thought we would fly through the tour...wasn’t the case at all! We all learned something new and went to parts of the park we haven’t been. All 8 of us give it 5 stars! It took us some time to get started, but we’ll worth it!!
Don’t believe negative review scammers—app was phenomenal!. I heard from the creator that the maker of the battlefield CDs has been giving fake, negative reviews to this app. I was curious so decided to try it out for myself when my family drove to Gettysburg for the day and downloaded the app to tour the battlefields. We synced it up to our Bluetooth and it was like having our own personal tour guide! I highly recommend this app for an in-depth experience that allows a more immersive and comprehensive tour.
Gettysburg auto tour. We gave this a two star because it was actually dangerous. The gps did not work correctly and in order to advance to the next sight my husband had to manually reset the tour to the next spot. (He was alone )He had to rush through the music to the next spot and most the time he was past what there was to see. Wish we could get our money back. Addendum: I contacted the developer and they have been very gracious and kid and helpful. I have received a refund. Think it may have been user error. So I am changing my review to 4 stars.
Great App!. Used this App for two days. It can be a little challenging until you get use to all it’s features. Love how it can tie into a GPS road app and bring you back to some location.
Just what I was looking for!. Not sure how old the tech is that some of the reviewers were using, but I had zero problems with the GPS connection. Everything worked as advertised. Great app!
Better Angels of our Gettysburg App. This application from my iPad has been a great addition to touring the sacred battlegrounds of Gettysburg. Being able to witness the fields as they were back in the 1860s has brought tears to my eye. The battle came alive in the palm of my hand. This is application is something all Civil War buffs should purchase and use while touring the sacred ground of Gettysburg.
Agree with all other positive reviewers. Just finished the auto tour today and the app worked brilliantly. Hooked up iPhone to Bluetooth on the RV stereo and it guided us through the whole thing without us having to mess with the phone. App is perfectly priced considering the way overpriced audio CD at the visitor center ($30 as of today). I’m sorry but I’d expect an actual human tour guide for that price. If you follow the auto tour signs starting from the visitor center you’ll have a great experience. I saw some people refer to pics and videos but we didn’t mess with any of that. The audio tour and our own eyeballs were all we needed. Thanks for a great alternative to the pricey options at the visitor center.
Worth it!. I don’t think I’ve ever paid for an app. I’m cheap like that. We went to Gettysburg on a whim and had no idea what we were doing. I found this app and I’m so glad!! We started at the visitors center(I collect things from NPS) and headed out. The GPS kept up with us the entire time. It was spot on with the auto tour markers. Like others mentioned above, the “optional” and “recommended” stops were close to other points of interest, so it didn’t get to finish sharing info before warning us of an upcoming stop. So go slow, pull off, take your time. I wouldn’t even consider it a flaw, just head the warning so you don’t miss things. You can open the app and listen to everything at your own pace later on. I plan to go through and look up the locations they pointed out at a later time. Thanks for this wonderful and very affordable tool!
Great app, worth the money!. I'm not one to write reviews, but I just had to give my vote of support for this app. It worked perfectly, clips played at exactly the right time depending on our location, and were filled with good information. We had it going through the Bluetooth in our car stereo so it was easy for everyone to hear. We enjoyed being able to go at our own pace and spend as much or as little time at each location as we wanted. It was well worth the $10, much better than paying $35 per person for a bus tour where you are herded with a bunch of people you don't know and don't get to choose how much time to devote to each stop. I would definitely recommend it.
Save $20 and use this one. You can buy the $30 version from the gift shop OR you can buy this one and have money left for lunch. This app was great. The narration and embedded videos are awesome, and the gps function worked flawlessly. Our family of six had a great time learning history on the Gettysburg battlefield. Five stars.
I’m asking for my money back. I’m asking for my money back on this app. The premise is good, but they are are effectively no instructions on how to use it and I found myself going around in circles because on many intersections there were no instructions given as to which direction to take. It’s unfortunate, because frankly for maybe 10 or 15 hours of additional work this application would work very well and be easy to use, but I wasted at least two hours in backtracking because of the poor directions.
Not worth the money!!!!!!. The app was very glitchy! There was very little content! It did not flow with the battle very well. It skipped half of the first day’s battle. I should have read the reviews and I would have known better than to download this awful app! The videos are awful I ended up just listening to them and not watching because I had seen the same re-enactment seen 15 times! However, hearing WAR. WAR. WAR. at those awkward times was hilarious. If you knew nothing about the battle it’s not going to change after using this app!!!!!!! WAR. WAR. WAR.
Great experience!. I went with my family to the Gettysburg battlefield and I have to say usually hanging out with my family is a bit of a chore but this app really brought the battlefield to life and made it a fun experience for all of us. The sounds that play as you drive through areas and the videos made it feel like a virtual reality experience. It was almost like a scavenger hunt too in that we wondered what we’d discover next as we drove to each spot. My family didn’t fight at all because the app kept us all entertained. And I liked that it was self paced and we didn’t have to travel with a big crowd and tour guide. Highly recommend this, great for all ages.
Phenomenal!. Quick download. Only $10. Worked flawlessly. Just turned on by visitors center and headed on auto route. The GPS worked great. Bluetooth connected fine as my phone always does. It talked right when it needed to. Even let me know not to miss turns. It is NOT too in depth. But enough to keep it interesting and hit all the big points. I'd estimate to go through at its pace and do a quick walk of each auto tour stop it would take about 2-3 hours. There is also a short nice video at each site that pulls up automatically. Loved it. Great app. A suggestion to maybe make an app to book a personal guide as the center is a headache. Like an uber for a tour guide. You set a price, pay online, pick him or her up wherever and go.
Very informative, works well. I was impressed with the details of information provided by the app. It also worked well with the gps on my phone, providing reminders of upcoming turns as well as info on the area we were driving through. We didn't have enough time while on the drive to watch the videos provided for stops. I'm looking forward to watching them at home. This is my second review. In the first I thought I could not watch the videos at home, but that was not true. I can't seem to modify that review.
Great way to take a self tour. Used this app last week during a 1 day trip to Gettysburg. Wanted to see the battlefield but there is so much to see and we weren’t sure where to start and how to make the most of our trip in a short time. We decided to take a chance on the app and are very pleased we did. The audio narrative of the sites we were seeing was really great and the ability to stop if we wanted to or not was a nice way to customize the tour. Would definitely recommend it!
Awesome. Not sure what is up with the low reviews but I had to come back and say this was amazing for $10. So much better to go at our own pace and not stuck in a bus with other people. The app provides info automatically by detecting your location and the music is great. We did end up losing the route for the last 3 stops and I had to navigate there with Google and then the audio caught up, but besides that is was perfect.
Don’t Use with an old phone. The concept is so great. I used this on a solo trip to Gettysburg, which made the tour ideal and easy. However, I have an iPhone 5s. The app didn’t play automatically after like the first couple of stops. I visited a few months later and the app didn’t work at all on my phone, so we had to repurchase on someone’s newer iPhone. If you have an old phone, I wouldn’t bother buying it.

Does not work. Audio tracks don't work. It goes to short YouTube videos instead of audio tracks and those aren't great given spotty cellphone coverage in the area. Also, there is no GPS triggering. Rip-off
Worst app I've used. Would not recommend this to anyone! Half the stops don't work, not worth using if it was free! Keep searching!
Best GPS Tour of Gettysburg!. We loved every second! 5/5!!!
Just a little short of perfect.. It was rough to find out where to start. We ended up just doing the last 5 parts and giving up. Great idea, with a little more work, it’s a wonderful idea.
The future of history tours. This was so cool! I appreciated that the app followed our location and we didn’t really have to touch anything! I really recommend.
Bluetooth does not work. App will not play on our car. Would like a refund as we were not able to use it all.
Started out fine. Thought I was going to love this app compared to more pricey solutions to explore Gettysburg. Lasted until Little Round Top then the GPS feature failed. I could select the Stop information but no directions for turns or monologue around Devils Den and Wheat field. Feel cheated. The whole app failed at the High Water Mark. No monologue at the Cemetery.
Good way to hop around Gettysburg. It’s a fun app and the GPS is really nice!
Great App!. This is a bargain for $10! Skip the expensive CD and tours. Hook the app to your car Bluetooth and enjoy the tour with your friends and family. Worked perfectly!
Ok for basic info. This app did work only basic information given could have been more comprehensive the gps concept is good and worked recommend rebooting phone after installing app to get gps part to work smoothly.
GPS worked perfectly!. Really enjoyed this tour, the GPS triggered and played interesting and fun audio along the way.
App doesn’t work. I read good reviews so I paid for the app i I only had a short while to be in Gettysburg and the App doesn’t work When it did play after resetting my iPhone the content was severely lacking I had done the park in the past using a audio tour on CD and the content was riveting and interactive. Much better then the app. Also we were turned around and off coarse with the app
Couldn’t get it to work. I give the app 2 stars for concept, but I couldn’t get it to actually work. I tried it out home, and I could get the videos to play. But once I was in Gettysburg, the videos simply wouldn’t play. Big disappointment 🙁
Not worth the savings. Anyone who says this tour is better than the CD tours sold in the visitor center gift shop haven’t actually driven through the park with those CDs. The quality is far superior with more information and a much better narrative of the three day battle. I recommend spending the extra money for a much better experience.
Just what we needed. This was a fantastic app that took you on the audio tour of Gettysburg. It has a few videos too. Loved the GPS feature. Well worth the $!
Great App!. I love the videos and driving directions.
Money well spent. This app is a must for visiting Gettysburg
No good. Doesn't work correctly with iphone 8's plus running iOS 12.1.4. Settings screen display is "overlapped" and locked, no changes can be made, and feature where app tracks you on the battlefield doesn't work. All in all, a waste of my money, & very disappointing. I recommend buying a guide book-they always work!!
AWESOME Tour in 2 hrs !. This tour should probably be given 2.5-3 hrs so you can get out and look around , we were on a time crunch but got the greatest info on this app in 2 hrs. Met a park watch volunteer named Tom Barrett who was so incredibly helpful and informative. Great job TOM!
Really Informative. I tend to go on trips along and try to save money where I can. This app was just what I needed to explore Gettysburg. I love that each site has a YouTube video linked where you can see a reenactment of what happened. Extremely helpful when trying to visualize. I’m from MS and wanted to learn about what happened in Gettysburg. This app definitely made it more clear and enjoyable. I would recommend it.
Great historical tour. Didn’t realize how interesting Gettysburg could be. Learned so many things I never thought about. This app is the way to go!
Gettysburg Auto. Great app for the Auto Tour. GPS knew exactly where we were. Great information.
Does not support Spanish. Despite what the App Store says, this app does not support Spanish. A quote from their tech support, “Only the buttons are in Spanish and Portuguese. The tour is English only. If you want to see the buttons in Spanish or Portuguese you have to change your phone’s language to Spanish or Portuguese.” I’m not sure how anyone would consider this as supporting Spanish.
No CarPlay. Works ok. The info was well presented. However the experience could be greatly improved if the app supported CarPlay integration.
Best Content!. I loved this do-it-at your own pace, drive and explore tour of the battlefield. The GPS triggers were great and there was so much more added value in the extra content at each stop. The videos brought the battle to life and the pictures and audio added interesting historical information. I highly recommend this for families and explorers of all ages.
Great App!. Highly recommend using this app for your own self-guided car tour. The app is easy to use and the signs around town are easy to follow. My grandma and i used this and really enjoyed our day.
No sound. Paid for app but never got to use. Didn’t get any sound from videos. Removed app from phone and redownloaded three times with the same problem. Phone was properly synced. We ended up finding YouTube videos for each stop site. Waste of money.
Absolute crap don’t waste your money. Did not work, the markers wouldn’t play. No instructions, or clear way to use the app. It kept repeating the same fact and telling me to press the overview button which did not exist. Might as well have just set $10 on fire. Total waste of money.
Complete waste of money. The "content" of this app is so weak, the free brochure from the visitor's center was more informative. There was less than 20 minutes of audio content and some of it was inaccurate. Any one of the CDs sets in the visitor's center would be at least an hour and more like 2+ since they had multiple discs.
Worth the money. So happy we purchased this app. It brought the town of gettysburg and the battlefields to life.
Great app.. Enjoyed the app while driving through the battlefield. It was a great experience.
Frustration!!!. This was the most frustrating app I have ever used! The interaction with the GPS was terrible! Rarely auto played any of the segments. The only time we really knew that we had to manually play the segments was when we were at suggested stops. IMHO it was a waste of $10! Don’t do it!!!
Excellent tour app!. Great way to see this historic place. GPS feature was perfectly timed. Like someone in the car. Would recommend to all.
Informative and easy!. This is a great addition to any drive through Gettysburg! Highly recommended
Great tour to get a family out during Covid. A perfect outing for my preteens/teens to get out without any human contact door to door. And they learned something new!
A great experience!. Learned so much about this historic place, and why it is important to our country’s past. Highly recommended.
Great app. This a good add on if you’re going to do the auto tour on your own.
Save Your Money. This app should have been priced at $1.99. You will get more information from the free brochure at the visitor center. This app only has limited information about 16 of the sites and neglects most of the major ones. The only reason it may be worth $1.99 Is for the sometimes useful GPS application for those unfamiliar with the battleground.
Waste of money. I'm sorry I wasted my money. It did not work well for me and I'm surprised by the positive reviews, The information was minimal and it was mostly music. I'd like my $10.00 back. It was not worth the money and it was frustrating to use. You need guaranteed cell signals and these can be intermittent in Gettysburg.
Nothing GPS about this app. Not worth the $9.99. Thought this was going to guide us through the park and direct us via GPS but it did not. It does provide an audio tour.
Interactive, Fun App. This was like having a personal tour guide of Gettysburg in our car! Very fun!
Worth the money. Pleasantly surprised by the app and by the tour itself! I felt empowered by the ability to go at our own pace and experience Gettysburg in the morning, afternoon or evening.
Disappointed. App isnt worth the cost. Wouldnt sync up with gps and play when got near sites. Downloaded updates and still didnt work Dont waste your time or money. Just use google maps and read the plaques at the sites
Perfect. Worked great! The app worked exactly as intended and we had zero issues.
There's $10 I'll never get back. Tried using the app on our tour. Followed the instructions on how to use it, but the app never worked properly. Ended up using the auto tour CD from 30 years ago. At least that's reliable.
Super tour!!!. What a great way to see this historic area. Like some one in our car showing us everything! Highly recommended.
GPS good, everything else bad.. The GPS triggered as expected. All other content was lacking throughout the park. Some of the YouTube videos wouldn’t load and an error popped up saying the users account was deleted/ content not available. Major highlights of the battlefield should at least have something to read if there isn’t audio content. Great concept but poor execution.
Not worth the money. This app is beyond awful. The GPS doesn’t not keep up with the Audio. The audio plays the same things over and over again. Do not spend the $10, you and your family/friends are better off walking the battlefield and reading the signs than spending $10 on a junky app!
Love the experience. I loved the audio commentary in this tour. The audio played automatically and the whole family got a guided tour of Gettysburg. Awesome!
