Teleprompter for Video App Reviews

Love this app!. Does everything I need for a teleprompter, and I also really like the payment model. It’s free for short scripts, so you can get around paying for it if you’re not a heavy user but I did want longer scripts, so I payed the $13 or something to get the full version forever. I simply would not pay 6.99/month or whatever the other apps charge you. So nice app and nice business model! Also recently got a much needed update.

Good, Useful…But Needs Work. Overall this is a pretty good app. But a few tweaks could eliminate two extremely annoying quirks. One, when scrolling in voice-activated mode, sometimes the script freezes…kinda defeats the whole purpose. And two, it’s far, far, far from intuitive to figure out how make the script scroll faster or more slowly. Eventually I learned that the large plus and minus signs in the upper right corner made that adjustment…but it was hard to tell because a couple of clicks didn’t appreciably change the speed. Much trial and error and annoyance. Lastly, no matter what I did it would not recognize my external microphone.

Having Fun with my teleprompter. Just starting to shoot videos, and the scripts have helped me tremendously move forward with recording my videos faster. I like that you can edit the script on the fly, and that you can adjust the speed of the prompter. Not having to memorize everything allows me to have more fun recording.

Updated from previously frustrated review. Apple won’t let me update my previous two star review: I was frustrated that the app was crashing every time I tried to add captions or save a video to my phone. I was very pleasantly surprised when the developer replied to me two days later offering to fix it— and then they did! The app is the best I’ve tried in terms of how easy the teleprompter function is to use, that you can add captions, etc. and moreover the company is very responsive to customer issues!

Perfect to use when by yourself. I am the absolute worst with technology, but this app made recording myself while reading my own script simple and seem less. Easy to understand how to add your own script, then simply press record and it gives you a countdown to get prepared. You can edit the video if needed then simply save to your camera roll. Would highly recommend!

TelePrompTer is wonderful and Phil’s support is even better.. TelePrompTer is a wonderful app, especially considering it’s ONE time fee of $12. That’s less than the MONTHLY fee ($14) of its leading competitor. Sure, the competitor has more bells and whistles but nothing I don’t already have in my Windows Movie Maker, so why sign up for monthly fees for redundant products? Phil’s support was phenomenal as we exchanged 4-5 emails quickly to troubleshoot MY mistake. I downloaded the app to my iPad using one email (that I never otherwise use) but signed into using my usual email. If you’re looking for a TelePrompTer, this is a GREAT value.

It Delivers Every-time!. I make small movies for my office’s social media. They aren’t very long, but they’re full of detail that’s hard to remember. I’ve tried several teleprompter apps over the last year, including some that use voice recognition. This is the first I’ve used that’s consistently delivered. The voice recognition works well, even in the large room where I’ve been recording. It’s syncs with a wired mic seamlessly. To be fair, I haven’t used the video editing functions. But as a teleprompter, I’m sold!

Teleprompter. I like this teleprompter a lot. I had an issue though where I couldn’t get my script to turn horizontally. The developer contacted me and I sent in a request to support. But in the mean time I read the apps questions and answers and found that the issue was not the app but my phone. So if you are having the same issue go to your phone and swipe up... there should be a little lock icon with a rotation arrow above it. Click on it to unlock it and your script will now go vertically!!! I’m so happy the developer reached out to me. Great app!!!

Awesome!!!!!. Just got this app today for our company because our CEO had to make a video using a script and we couldn’t figure out how to let him read the script but not appear to be reading the script (make sense?) Well, we were hanging his printed speech off everything, even taping it to people. LOL 🤣 He was getting frustrated as he dislikes doing these types of things. I quickly googled something like how to read a script when making an iPhone video (modern searching for all you SEO lovers❤️) and this app came up in the search. We were making the video on an iPhone 11 plus max. We were a little skeptical about the teleprompter but at that point we were willing to try anything. So we did, and we loved it. All I had to do was save his speech to Dropbox and upload it! Easy!!!! I honestly cannot believe how easy this whole process was. We immediately bought the premium version after a quick trial video bc the speech was a long 3 minute script. It worked great. Yay!!!! A big thank you and shout out to the developers of this app. 💞😍🥰 we are now excited to figure out all the ways we can use it especially for social media. We’re trying to make more video content. Search no more!. I have tried almost a dozen different teleprompter apps. Trust me, this is the easiest and best one yet! Plus you can film before a green or blue screen and it will allow you to add your custom background. Everything about this app is exactly what I need to share my messages on social media. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs to script out their message as opposed to improv.

Saves tons of time + more professional. Love how this has saved me time so that I don’t have to memorize scripts and do SO many takes. And my posts are now so much more conversational and seem effortless, which they are! Love this app. Was looking for something exactly like this. Worth paying for the paid version!

Paid & did not work on iPad. Paid for full subscriptions but only activated on iPhone, when trying to switch to iPad it did not recognize my subscription and requires me to pay again. I am not happy at all. Should be a button to restore license on the setting. User don’t have to contact developer for an instructions. Searched in scripted video help for license restoration and could not find a single article. I revised my review to 3 for app.

Loving it so far. I got this for use in my English class for when we do speeches. I save the videos for later review. The voice recognition works fairly well, but not when there is a lot of background noise, but this is to be expected. However, when I try to add subtitles, the app closes. UPDATE: With the latest update, they fixed this issue. Awesome.

Great app that checks all the boxes for creating rapid content. This is a great app. It is priced well, and it is very feature, rich and easy to use. You can not only use it as a teleprompter, but it will also add your logo, provide captioning, and allow you to remove a background with its green screen function. You can also change the image size and shape and add a music track. Would definitely recommend buying this app, especially if you were looking for a way to create rapid content social media.

Intuitive to Use. Updated Review: Of the three Teleprompter apps I’ve used, this is my favorite one. Unfortunately, I wasn’t ready to purchase this app, but to my surprise, my card was charged before my three day trial was over. I appealed to Apple twice to get a refund because I believed my card was unfairly charged and I wasn’t ready to buy this app. Now Apple doesn’t allow me to appeal again to get a refund. I also find it frustrating when a developer’s response encourages me try things I’ve already done, and is unwilling to think creatively to at least meet me halfway with my issue. Nevertheless, I still give the app five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great little teleprompter app. Could use some fine tuning. 1) The words start too high when used on an iPhone in the horizontal selfie position. So the eyes not looking directly into the camera lens when reading the words. 2) editing on the phone is a challenge and could be made more user friendly. Overall a good app, but in need of some fine tuning updates.

Simple Elegant Solution. We purchased the full blown version of this app for what it would cost for just a little over a month’s use of other similar apps. We weren’t expecting much except the basics. WRONG!!! This is an amazingly simple to use, full featured app that let us produce high quality promotional videos. It makes importing scripts a breeze and even color coding portions for different speakers. You simply can’t go wrong buying this app . . . And no, i am not compensated for my comments here in any way and i am not associated with the company either. They just deserve kudos for a great product at a very reasonable price!

Use to love this app & recommended it to friends, It’s now trash!. Why doesn’t the script rotate horizontally like it use to? This is horrible!!! I’m trying to record something for my cousin’s graduation & it’s not intuitive like it use to be. I want a full screen so I would turn it horizontal and record. The words don’t rotate so I can read them. How do you make this work like before? You have made this app trash!

It’s okay. Im an actor. I use this to record my self tapes. It was never perfect but use to be better. I rely on the voice activation. It has always just stopped randomly as if its suddenly stopped listening and then scrolls up super fast which is incredibly frustrating. After the most recent update, when using voice activation, it just stops. Often in the same place. And you can literally shout the lines into the speaker and it wont move. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re in the middle of a good take and it just stops responding and you have to start over now terrified that it will stop again, which it always does. Recently I had to also print out the sides anyway, so that I can switch to hard copy to reference so Im not forced to start the scene over. When my subscription ends I will try to find a more reliable voice activated teleprompter, as I believe it could be revolutionary for self tapes.

Frustrated ‘One-Star’. UPDATE: Very thankful for the most recent update and fix for the AirPod Pro problem. Thankful for the communication as the problem was focused on. After the latest app update, this app no longer will recognize my AirPod Pros as a microphone. I can set it to specifically use these, but no sound comes through with my video. Contacted “customer service” and got one email reply asking for device specifics and update, and iOS update timing in reference to when this started happening. That was almost a week ago now. No second email or any kind of follow up! This app still won’t record sound from the AirPod Pros on my iPad Pro. I like this app, but an apparent lackadaisical approach to customer service on a problem like this is troubling.

The Best!!!. I am a normal human with average to low technological skill. This app IS THE BEST. it is simple, it is intuitive, uncomplicated, and so easy to use! The creators of this app nailed it! I love how you can move the words wherever on the screen, you can widen the text or narrow it, cannot say enough. It never glitches, it lets you put in however much text you want to. And it works seamlessly. I have tried others and nothing works like this one! Thank you so much to the creators of this app!!!

Useless after update — ruined functionality. This app used to be perfect, but after the recent updates, it’s become completely unusable. Now it forces a zoom-out just to start the scroll — and once I zoom out, the text either stops or pauses on its own. I have no control over when the script starts or how it behaves. I’m just trying to record with my phone’s native camera while reading the script — like it worked before — but now everything is overcomplicated and broken. “Double tap to start, zoom out to play” — none of it makes sense or works smoothly. Please bring back the old, simple version. At least let us disable all this new, automatic nonsense.

Stops voice scrolling randomly and other issues. Currently looking for another teleprompter software to use as this one just stops voice scrolling randomly even when the actor is reading it in the same tone and levels throughout the script. I. Addition, god forbid you put a space in between lines! Then it will add a huge space. For instance, write a sentence, add a double space, this app will add 6 spaces! Please help!

difficult to use. When editing, app will lock and not allow you to scroll down to view text you are writing. You have to keep saving and come back in to see your full text. But once you begin editing it locks up again. There is no pause feature, or ability to change speed of text while filming. No way to go from front facing to rear facing camera on the fly, you must choose one or the other for the duration of your video. If these could be addressed, it would be a great app!!

Yes!!!. Okay - I’ve had this app for a while, but I don’t use it often. Needed it today and saw there was an update. Did the update and now it has voice recognition. Shot my first video in one go. Voice recognition saved me so much time. Thank you, developers!!! Highly recommend!!!

Game changer!. This is the best Teleprompter I have ever used and will probably only use this from now on. I love the fact that you can change the speed as well as it can go with your voice instead of you having to change your pace. Last finale it’s free!

If Only More Apps Were This Good!. NO MONTHLY RENTAL FEE! A great useful solid app at a great price! A one app solution to produce solid content that looks and sounds great. Kudos! It would be nice to see more buyers reward developers that don’t charge monthly rental fees. It seems like everything on the App Store is moving to adding more debt and less ownership and stability to their apps.

I have downloaded your app and I. I sure can’t find the floating feature. I am not sure if I can even read a teleprompter from my phone-want to use the floating feature and film with my native camera app-looking involved in an auto subscript. Then I am just moving on. It is like the feature is missing from the app. If it is a pro feature I cannot try out without getting a subscription then it would be nice to know that-don’t see a list of feature for any of your paid plans/-you lost me.

Significantly shaves time off contact production. I love this app. I started creating content for social media a couple of weeks ago doing one video every day. It would take me at least 45 minutes to record a 60 second video because I had to memorize all of my script so that I could record seamlessly. I just used this app for the first time today to record videos to publish next week and I recorded four days worth of videos in less than an hour. This app has drastically reduced the amount of time I need to record video content. This app is definitely a must. Highly recommended.

Just what I needed. I’m a pastor and during the Covid 19 outbreak I needed to record some of my sermons from home. This was such a great tool to do this. I was actually able to do it on an iPhone because it lets you choose text size. My only request would be to somehow make it remote control compatible so that I could pause it if it got a little ahead of me. Maybe you could use another iPhone or the Apple TV remote as a remote, but that would be the only request I would have. This is a great little app!!!

I almost never write reviews.... I almost never write reviews... but seriously, this is a brilliant app. I was sitting thinking about a video I needed to do, and that I should write an app that could record video and scroll the script right next to the iPad camera. And then I thought, surely someone else must have done this... and there you were in the App Store. I typically do pretty short videos, so I could probably get away with the free version, but I just paid for the full pack because it is just that good... Highly, highly recommended.

Great app but needs a bit of tweaking. Really really easy app to use if you need it for self tape auditions like I do BUT when I manually type my scripts or copy them in I can only scroll down so far and then I can’t see what I’m typing. I’d also love it if there was the option for it to auto scroll up when it hears me say the dialogue instead of auto scroll or if it had an option to slow the scroll or speed it up etc... but all in all I love this app and I’m going to get a lot of use out of it. I’ll upgrade if they fix the issues and add those other options.

Works well and is easy to use!. This app is such a lifesaver. I’ve recorded a few videos with it so far and I am in love with it. I still need to try out the captions feature but if it works well, I can cancel my subscription for the other captions app that I have… But so far, I am a happy camper ☺️

I’m trying so hard to like this App. It looks like this App has some good features but not sure if it can do what I’m needing it to do because the free version is so limited. The script starts so close to the edge of my IPad screen that I’m still not looking at my viewers, my eyes are way off to the side. This defeats the whole purpose for the App. Plus, it doesn’t look like I can slow down the script. I’m tired of spending $ on Apps that turn out to be worthless so the free version needs to include a few more features before i can decide if I want to buy in. I don’t mind paying for a good App so don’t be so skimpy on the free version. I’d buy right now but your free version hasn’t convinced me it will meet some of my greatest needs.

My hat off to the creator. I’d like to give a big thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this app possible and bringing into the marketplace. This morning I couldn’t wait to sit down in front of the camera and push record. And I didn’t have my breakfast yet which has taken me out of my routine this morning. But no regrets. I see a good future for me recording all of my videos. Thanks once again.

Newest user. Just got the app and started using it right away. I’ve done more videos today than I did in the past month and just the past 30 minutes. I wish I found this sooner and glad I have it now. Thank you.

Eerie Eye Tracking. The first time I used the edit tool to enhance eye tracking, I discovered that it gave me a totally different eye color. There was no way to reverse it and go back to the original recording. That was my best take out of about 10 takes and I was very disappointed because I looked like an alien with the new eye color. I can’t use it now because without a doubt, people think that it was AI and not really me. I wish the app had an ability to revert to original in their editing tools.

Why am I being charged again?. Great app. Have used it since I purchased it in December of 2022. Now they are wanting me to subscribe to get the new AI feature. I’m doing the 3 day trial but may not keep the subscription model because I can generate the same script using a free utility and import it. Rating 4 stars instead of 5 because of this. It seems to me those who have purchased and been using this app should get new features at no additional cost, but just my opinion.

My personal assessment. Hey guys, if you were thinking of getting a program that’s going to give you a Teleprompter that you can put your ideas in your thoughts and different platforms. I would say that in my experience this has been the best. I’ve been using it now for years and I’ve recommended it to so many different people and I have not gotten that one complaint from anyone, so go ahead and an old confidence purchase this program and I believe that you will get lots of use for many years to come. Thank you.

It worked once. It worked one time. I loaded one script into it and it worked great the first time that I used it. I even upgraded to the paid version. I have spent the last hour and a half trying to load a new script for my next project and it keeps crashing the app. I’ve tried deleting the old script. That didn’t work. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. That didn’t work. I tried loading a short script (below the 750 character threshold of the free version). That didn’t work. It is a waste of time and money. More down sides to it, it is very clunky trying to navigate around inside the app. I was going to live with that but, since it doesn’t work anymore, I want my money back.

Excellent App. The Teleprompter App has been very effective in assisting me with creating videos for my website. Prior to purchasing the app, I would have to memorize my lines which took up a considerable amount of my time. Using the teleprompter app has enabled me to free up my time, produce effective videos for my website and has helped me to create professional content with ease. The teleprompter app is very user friendly and I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to create video content for their website or for their social media accounts.

Needs option to shift text higher on screen, especially the lines being read during voice scroll. Could you create an option to have the voice control scroll higher in the screen so that I’m looking into the camera when reading? This app is really well done otherwise. The only advantage Bigvu has on this is having the text running all the way into the camera. Also the text is not centered around the iPhone camera (which is slightly left of center). Can you create an option to be able to shift text not only towards or away from center, but any direction on that axis. Looking towards the camera when reading makes a big difference for a teleprompter. Will update review to 5 stars if changes made because it works great otherwise.

Disappointed. I’m frankly pretty disappointed with this app. Despite purchasing the all inclusive package, the script would randomly stop scrolling, and literally failed to save videos I had recorded a few times. The failing to save was intermittent, meaning that I would record 4 videos, for example, and the fifth one would randomly fail to save. These kind of errors make filming take much, much longer than it should. I couldn’t find a number to contact either, which makes things difficult when you have a scheduled shoot, because you can’t wait until tomorrow to get the tech issues resolved. I’d expect a little more support for paying customers. I’m open to chatting through these issues and resolving them.

Works well except for two major issues. Please provide an updated version this app where I DO NOT need to have an active internet connection in order to use the app which I am paying for access to. If I am in a location without internet access on my phone or WiFi the app locks up and can’t be used. Or is there a change to setting I need to make? This is needed because sometimes a person needs to make edits and record in remote locations without internet connections. The other issue is that for some reason when I try to use the app on my iPhone 12 mini I am only able to record in portrait mode with blurred background when NOT in 4k mode. I have reinstalled several times and it doesn’t make a difference. In 4k mode it works fine, but that generates really large files which I don’t need. How to fix?

This App Was a Level Up!. I decided to focus on building my personal brand this year instead of just focusing on my company. I began recording short videos on various topics to showcase my expertise in a few key areas. For my first few videos, I just used the camera app on my phone with a ring light and a tripod. However, my scripts were on my tablet slightly offset from my camera. Bad move! From my eye movement a person could readily tell I was reading from a transcript. Teleprompter for Video changed all of that. It was easy to download and install on my iPhone. I was able to quickly learn all of the functionality. And the basic post-production features made me feel like a pro very quickly. I’ve recorded several videos with it, even in 4k now. The quality is there and now I’m running it through my RodeCaster Pro II and beginning to perform post-production activities in Adobe Premier. Teleprompter is a worthwhile investment for new and seasoned podcasters. I look forward to what I will be able to produce next.

Took my 10 minute blabbers down to 4.5 minutes. Very satisfied with this app and was happy to pay for the pro version. Love the option for the teleprompter to move with your speaking speed rather than trying to speak at its speed. The only thing is I wish the script could start at the very top of the screen closer to the camera instead of the middle of the screen because it makes me look like my eyes are half closed and I’m not as enthusiastic as I am. All around would 100% recommend though!

Outstanding App for Creators!. I’ve been helping small businesses use video for 13 years and this app is the most useful one I’ve found to improve that process. It’s easy to load scripts, it works flawlessly, and support is superb if you have questions. Strongest recommendation!

The Best I’ve found. This app is full featured and the company is honest. Very easy to use and so many options. I tried other companies and they played games with cost. They appeared to be cheaper but made me go through multiple pay walls to get anything that would actually work. Seriously don’t try anything else. Just buy this and have zero hassle. Zero. I repeat zero.

Basic App, Frustrations. For some reason, doing multiple takes is difficult because of the font size/scrolling speed constantly changes. Can’t it stay at my default? Having to reset it, in a different screen, every single time I want to start recording over again is rather tedious. (Given how much background noise and other things can disrupt the recording, this is a constant frustration for even a 2min video) Also, the scripts in the free version are extremely short. It’s extra steps to break down a 2min video into many separate scripts.

Has bee helpful. I really appreciate this helpful app. I was using hand written notes and was not doing very well with my videos! This app has helped me to look more natural and to quickly record content that I needed to upload into a course that I’m teaching. Thank you so very much for creating it and for making it affordable and user-friendly for people like me. I would encourage people to make sure that they have dropbox so that they can use their scripts and for people to purchase the entire thing so that they can have unlimited scripts.

About the App. I have to pay 17$ as my script was long I had about 5 pages worth for my presentation, but it’s worth!

Stable and clever software. Tried a few and this is the best with a wide range of cloud text uploads, on the fly edits and formatting tools, plenty of screen/video options and seamless saving to Photos app. Also great support for any queries. Highly recommended.

Disappointed. It would have been a fantastic app, but it’s limited to 750 characters, not even words...characters, that is way to short. I’m not paying that much to extend it either.

Glitchy App!. The recording on this app is great, but when I go to save or share it it just keeps giving me error messages, and now the video is lost. Tried multiple times. Cost me so much time, with nothing to show for it. Go elsewhere.

The best help for my videos!. This app is amazing g and so easy to use! It saves me so much time and I can add the subtitles so easily. Don’t hesitate It’s a gem!!

Scroll Speed Error. Awesome app been using for ages. There has recently been a bug introduced with the scroll speed. Despite the fact I change the speed this does not reflect when recording. Please help.

Very good and productive tool for videos. It is very good and effective tool for someone who wants to make their own videos! Since I started using it, it made my life much easier. I can do so much with little efforts, preparation and time!

Full version doesn't work. Paid the money.... Doesn't work.... Not impressed.... Limited to 750 characters not even words!

Voice recognition. Hi, love the app but getting annoyed that the voice recognition lags out halfway through most my videos and I have to keep redoing them over and over. Anyway this can be made to keep up with my voice throughout a video - yes I have read your tips and doing all those.

Makes me look professional. Great app, easy to use and does exactly what you need and want it to do.

7 year and no regrets.. I upload one video a day for the last 5 years and I do all my captions using this app. It is accurate, easy and just works. The support is exceptional I would have given this 6 stars if there is an option for that. Keep it up Phil.

Awful sound. Sounds like there’s a waterfall in the background! What’s up with that? Can’t use anything I recorded. Thanks for nothing

Audio peaking issues. I’m using a quality RODE microphone but unfortunately can’t get the audio to stop peaking. There’s no ability to turn the volume down in the app. It makes the audio unusable. I would be cautious about using the app for an interview situation as you might find that the footage is unusable.

easy to learn, easy to use. Go this the other week. Love it. Really simple to use. Easy to import and edit scripts. Glitch free. And easy to set the right scroll speed. Used auto cue a lot and this is a great tool!

Fantastic!. Really good app and easy to use! Love how it talks directly to Dropbox and also the fact you can email support with suggestions and they actually take the feedback on board to continually improve its userability. Highly recommended!!!

I have a suggestion…. I use an iPhone 14 pro and it doesn’t give the option to record in cinematic mode.

Audio poor quality. Followed their fix instructions, just nothing works and the sound is horrible only when recording video with this app.

Clicking sound. Why is it there ?? Very annoying.

Surprisingly well organised. UPDATE MAY26: The app developer has made some nice improvements. There’s nothing I don’t like or wish for in this app. It’s complete. For an inexpensive Teleprompter app where you can read the words and record on the same device at the same time, I was able to get up and running with this well organised App pretty much straight away without any lag. Highly recommended.

Hi. Hi this is so much boring

Loving it.. I’ve always shied away from sitting in front of the camera as I get all tongue tied so this app has helped heaps. I just wish there was a way to slow down the scrolling is the only problem. I have written to tech support and they replied within 48 hours to help fix the problem. There is a + and a - on the side which slows it down in case anyone is looking for it.

Easy and effective!. Teleprompter is hands down the easiest, most effective and useful app in my business to date. It has all the things I need in one convenient app for the bargain yearly price for premium. If anyone sucks at public speaking - get teleprompter…. It’ll make your public speaking life a breeze! 🎉

Scam. I paid for a subscription, but the service was never provided and Apple did not give any refund option. This is so scam. You stole my money!!

Filming myself was never easier!. Hands down one of the best TelePrompTer apps out there. BEST APP EVER. I left a Japanese speaking assessment to the very last minute and I didn’t know what I was gonna do and took a chance on this app and I was successful!!! Terrible. I wrote out a script with just over 500 characters and although it shows that I currently have up to 1000 characters, it will not allow me to save my script. It prompts to purchase an add on for longer scripts. If the app actually worked, I would consider it however I already feel scammed and do not trust making a purchase. Not impressed as a first time user!

Needs work. Does not flip the text when going horizontal even on paid version. I feel like I wasted my money

Really enjoying this app. I really needed an app to create introductory videos for music entertainment videos for senior residents. This app worked perfect. I have very little experience in doing this, but the viewing of texts makes it simple to present the history and facts associate with the music I am performing.

My new Teleprompter app for my iPhone. This is a great app. It was way more options to customize and map buttons for the controllers than the other app I was using.

Works well. This is an app that earns it’s money. It turns your iPad into a teleprompter with the text running down the side of the screen, We got a bluetooth foot-pedal that advances or brings back the text. This really solves the sight lines and keeps the presenter looking straight out at the audience. Big step forward for us. BTW… If you are having problems they do get back in touch with you fast.

Most functions don’t work after IAP. Very clumsy and interface.there are buttons to set text size and speed, but THEY DONT WORK, can’t believe I paid $16 for this. Avoid at all costs.

Great app, just one minor annoyance. The app works super well so far and has great features. The only reason for not giving five stars is that I am forced to edit the videos recorded with this app on my computer in another app afterwards to add the subtitles, if I want them to follow the color scheme of my other videos. There are mainly two things missing in my case: 1) we can’t enter an html color code manually for subtitle text color - there is only a dot on a color matrix and getting a precise color is absolutely impossible. The html color code is already there, I would just like to be able to edit the code instead of dragging that horrible dot across millions of colors. 2) there is no option for adding an outside stroke to the subtitle text. Other than that, I highly recommend this app!

My life is so much easier. I love this app because it helps with my recordings and keeping me on track and not nervous. I love the ability to download my scripts from many different locations. My only criticism is that i submitted a request for help (no google upload option was available after I purchased it)and never received a response but then the option showed up a few weeks later and so all is good in the end. But don’t expect a reply, i guess.

Wow. Better then all the rest. Head and shoulders about the others. Records in horizontal and vertical. Does everything I need and yes, it’s a paid app but the price is right and it makes a huge difference if you’re a full time creator. Well worth the money

Voice recognition doesn’t work. I tried this out on trial and it worked great, then I paid for it and the voice recognition stopped working when I have my DJI mic on. I sent an email and never heard back. Very disappointed.

Can’t count?. It says 750 characters but does not allow you to use a script anywhere near 750 without activating the pay wall.

This new Apple Watch update is AMAZING!. The ability to start/stop recording, scroll through the script and even save the video right from the Watch is such a useful feature!

Landscape view. It is a very awesome app. I really love how easy it is, however i would like to ask the developer if you can please add a landscape option for YouTube videos, that would be a very great tool for some of us

Teleprompter. It's got a couple of lumps and bumps, but generally speaking, lots of capability for low cost. I've reported a couple of bugs and the team is friendly (despite my frustration), and helpful, and happy to look into issues, and fix.

Fantastic App! But.... This is the best teleprompter app I have ever used! I love how the text (script) is positioned very close to the camera location, making it appear like you're looking directly into the camera lens. Love how you can fine tune the scrolling speed. Very fast, and intuitive. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because there is no way to adjust the exposure. It has AE Lock, which is nice, but I'd really like the ability to fine tune the exposure the same way you can in the native camera app. I prefer to slightly under expose my videos, especially when shooting indoors on a black backdrop. Fix this, and it would be a perfect 5 star app! Thank you!

I even paid over $300 purchasing teleprompter before discovering this app - it was a pain to set up and I had to pair it with my iPad. One day that teleprompter broke when I dropped it and that’s how I found this app. Never looked back. Filming on iPhone is super easy and pretty great quality. This app helps a ton in filming VLOGs

Too fast, too slow and it seems I was staring off into the distance. This app solves all that. Now I’m looking right into the camera and delivering my script as if it’s off the top of my head. Be careful with this app!. I found this app on AppStore and decided to try it because it had good reviews. I bought a subscription, but after just one week I realized it wasn’t what I needed and canceled it. However, they kept charging me for almost two years! Sometimes small amounts, sometimes the full price , and no matter what I do, I can’t stop the payments. I’ve contacted support, tried to cancel in every possible way, but nothing helps. They just keep taking money from my card. This is really frustrating and feels like a scam. Please be careful before buying this app . Even if you cancel your subscription, they might still charge you.

iPhone 16 pro incompatible?. Worked great on my old iPhone, but stopped working when I upgraded to the iPhone 16 pro… The pop-up teleprompter does not show text when the native camera is open. I wanted to love this app. I really did. Whenever I play back a video, there’s a ton of background audio, no matter which microphone I select. I don’t have this problem in any other app or in the native camera app, but it makes any video I record unusable without serious editing.

Typing Manual Hard to Use. Tried to use the free portion, so manually typed half of the allowed number of characters and then once it hits the keyboard you cannot see what you are typing and there is no way to scroll up to finish what you are typing. App still needs some work.

Buzzing sounds with record. This app is good. My only complaint is the sound. Its not consistent and can lower or raise your voice while recording. Also theres a background noise like a scrolling sound that ends up in your final video. The audio needs work

Deleted Videos. I absolutely want to love this app, but it glitches out A LOT and when it does, my videos are gone-which is obviously really frustrating when I think I’ve got the take and I have to go back and do it all over.

Clicking. There is a consistent clicking present in the audio track. Fix that people and this is a five star app

Need Internet to Work. I don’t understand why this app needs an internet connection to work? Perhaps I’m missing something… If you want to create a script and save it, you need the internet.

useful for school. I used it to record a video for a school project and it was very helpful. Not only did it show me what I was supposed to say, but it also added subtitles.

Can’t use video. Needs fixed. App has been unusable since last update. The teleprompter works but video on same device unusable. I look like glowing zombie. You will need separate phone or camera. Can’t be fixed in exposure editing on computer. I tried AE lock on AND off. I am very orange unless lights are moved back til I’m grainy. I’m a full time video creator so I know what I’m doing.

A must have App especially during covid. My wife had to record a video and we were trying to hold up paper to record this when I said there’s got to be a better way. Phil, your app is a winner and saved us hours!!!!

Disappointed. I purchased because of the ratings but the app works to record as advertised but when sending the video or sharing it rotates the video 90 degrees, so it is sideways. The update was supposed to fix this, but it HAS NOT.

USB microphone not working. Hello, so I purchased the longer scripts and at first my usb attached microphone worked fine, not its not working at all. It shows on the app its there, but wont let me select it. I tried connecting it to this app on another phone and it was working fine. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, and still get nothing.

Great app! Perfect text placement and 4K compatible!. I’ve tried other teleprompter apps (that cost double) but the test viewing features plus 4K capture capabilities make this one stand out above the rest.

Scam. These positive reviews are suspicious. I purchased the upgrade in order to upload longer scripts. However the app then gets buggy and voice control is no longer accessible. There’s no UI feature to show voice control. Poor support articles too. Do not buy!

The best app out there. I’m an actor and a personal trainer. Soooo I make a lot of self record videos. And a good promoter app makes my life soooooo much easier. And this is the best app out there. I’ve tried a bunch. This one is absolutely the easiest to use.

Weird camera stuff. Initially I loved this app. But when I tried recording close to the window the video quality dived with blown highlights. The much touted AE lock feature does not work.

Good App. I like the app and I find it easy to use. The issue I have with it is the AE lock does not seem to work properly. I find when using the app I get different exposures in the same video. So I can only rate it a 3. But if exposer consistency is not an issue for you, it’s a great app. 😁
