Extremely Useful. I use it all the time. Right now I am looking into a new bike . I live in flat Florida for 6 months and 6 months in the mountains of North Carolina. Needing gearing that will work in both areas. This app answered all my questions.

Bike Gear. Nice app however it does not support the new SRAM and Shimano chain rings. Shimano now has a 10 to 51 and SRAM has a 10 to 52. 50 is as large as this app will allow entry for.

Bike Gear App is awesome!. The app is great, I do notice though the app on my phone is totally black and has no picture or whatever that’s called. In the AppStore it has a white background with two gears but when I download it to my phone the app is black on my home screen interface. That’s where it loses one star. Please fix this!

Great App. Very accurate. Was Riding old Schwinn mountain bike with a group riding new hybrids. To say the least by end of the ride I was way behind. This app allowed me to analyze my gearing compared to everyone else. A few mods to the bike and I am able to ride comfortably with everyone else. Great app.

Just what i needed. Bike sales rep said the gears on the bike he showed would make for easy hill climbs. Same as my old bike. I was not so sure. Bikegear showed that the sales rep was wrong. Thanks Bikegear.

Useful but limited. Shows a lot of information about a single gear, including gain ratio. Unfortunately, max crank length is 192.5, which limits usefulness for riders using 200mm+ cranks, who get the most value from gain ratio measurements.

Limited usefulness. Crank length option only goes to 192mm. Doesn’t help if you’re running 210’s.
