Aloha!! Fast, Secure and User Friendly. I rarely do reviews for apps no matter how good, but Aloha browser is one app I can’t just keep quiet about. The browser is super fast, VPN is highly secured and it makes downloading of files very easy. Cool music and video player, file management and sharing has been one of my major problems since I started using my Apple phone, but this app has helped me conquer that. Since I started using Aloha I have told so many of my friends about it and they all like it, who wouldn’t?. I see this browser beating the rest in no time. I still have one problem though, the team should add a search option, so users can search for a particular file using the files name. I think that’s the only setback for me so far. Thanks for this brilliant idea.

Please fix this! I loved your app!. This app was a lifesaver for me, a music player and a browser in one. Now you’ve basically ruined the music player part with your update. Firstly, I see the search and trash things and I’m really happy since they FINALLY added a search function. Then, I go to the downloads and it’s all weirdly different. Nothing I can’t handle though, I remember feeling that way for the previous interface change and I eventually liked it. My songs playlist is somewhere at the bottom even though it’s the largest folder and I sorted by size, and I realize it’s not sorting by size even though I selected that, it’s sorting by name?? I play a song and it goes instantly fullscreen so I try and get out of it and it’s stuck as a massive, disrupting rectangle that I can’t even put in the center or anything, and it takes up SO MUCH space. I decide to exit the app while listening and it CARRIES OVER TO THE HOME SCREEN. I don’t know why you needed to change this app like that, the old way with the bar at the bottom of your screen and the access through the built in phone menu was perfect. Heck, the way you selected the looping and shuffling was fine as well. Please god, at least fix these issues, because this is genuinely really horrible.

Desktop View and Zoom Out Needed. Much like other mobile internet browsers, Aloha has one major flaw. That is the inability to zoom out. When I am on a website, especially a project management site known as Jira, the screen is always far too zoomed in without the ability to zoom out like on a desktop browser. I also haven’t been able to find an option to either request the desktop website or completely prevent mobile the mobile view from coming up. I always use this browser on my iPad Pro, and some more desktop style features would be very welcomed. If you could get those two things specifically, then I would never use chrome or safari again. Never written a iOS review.. Been on iOS since the 3G and imo this is not only the best browser but one of the top 5 best apps ever made for the platform. I’ve be a user for quite some time now and started subscribing quite some time ago as well. I don’t really subscribe for the features as much as I just want this developer to continue to provide awesome software. I appreciate just about everything about this app. In a world where we’re almost forced to use a the products of tech companies that don’t value what’s best for us you should support the ones that due even when they only charge for the “nice to have” features. I already use the windows browser as well but I hope that one day they carry the exact same features within reason. Keep up the great work!

Very good software, but the latest version of the problem is a lot!. Originally is very good software, this updated interface is very beautiful, very fit ios11, but more or less a lot of problems, the page load becomes very slow, language can not switch, there is the biggest problem, the software main interface in the upper left corner of the icon actually disappeared, I have been installed several times, and several times to restart, This problem can not be solved, the VPN switch does not exist, this browser and other browser what is the difference? Hope to update as soon as possible, fix bugs, thank you very much!

Developers Rock ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I’ve been using Aloha as my music app on my Eye device for years. I miss the artist folders and ability to easily change artists or genres. I’m not criticizing at all. But consider this I hate apples restrictions as many others do. I use this in my car to play my music through Bluetooth and my system slaps. I would pay $10-$20 for a update that made the audio player more friendly for audiophiles. I deleted iTunes and the music app from my phone a long time ago this is my everyday music app. Love love love Aloha. An auto sort/sort by date/ rename feature maybe. I’m not a developer you guys seriously rock.

Pretty Good. (Cost for Premium is Only a few Dollars). I’ve used this Browser On/Off on my iPad Air for about 1yr.. I don’t have anything Negative to say about it.. It offers almost everything the Most Popular Browsers offer. It doesn’t offer as much Customization as the Big 3 Browsers.. However It offers enough Customization to satisfy most people. It’s MUCH Easier to download Web Pages and Videos using this compared the most popular browsers.. At least if your using an iPad. Often I hit the Download Button on a Video in Edge, Chrome, Safari or FireFox, 70% of the time I get “Downloads Not Available on this site on this Browser”.. That doesn’t happen with this Bowser.. The Browser offers a Free VPN and although that is Good, I prefer to use a VPN Bought from a company that makes it’s money from VPN/Security services. I recommend IPvanish, I’ve been using that on All my computing Devices (Over 8), for the past 6+ years, never had any problems with it.. Norton Security Deluxe also is Very Good. Don’t get me wrong you can use the built in VPN in Aloha Browser, I can’t really say anything against it.. It even offers a “Always On” Option letting you use the VPN, on your iPad even when you aren’t using the Browser... The Speed of this Browser seems as fast as any of them...

Unreliable & slow. Sometimes only half of a webpage will load, other times a page won’t load at all. One thing that’s consistent is that if a webpage does load, it loads very slowly. I base my observations on the fact that I have a reliable, high-speed connection and comparing this browser to others that load pages much faster and more reliable. Therefore, I’ve isolated the problem to this app. I was anxious to like this app, as I wanted a faster, more reliable browser than Safari, but unfortunately this app is no improvement. Instead of one star, I gave this app two stars, solely because I like having the ability to clear the history directly in the app, as opposed to having to go into my iPad’s “Settings”, like you’re required to do on Safari. Aloha has potential, hopefully the necessary improvements will be made, so I can come back to using it sometime in the future.

Rating for new version only. This new December 2021 version may be nice for new users to this app, but for long time users such as I, many of the functions which were a simple 1 or 2 button pushes have now become 3 or 4 button pushes inside of multiple mini menus. It feels clunky and old now. Like if this were the first version of the app ever put out. Even the play button changed from one that was small and skinny (so the video behind it could still be seen) to a giant blue background play button. The areas that buttons used to be such as pic in pic mode are changed to areas that are harder to find. Honestly I never write reviews, but I went into this app today and felt like I went back to 2010. It’s disappointing how often things need to be changed by developers who don’t realize when their product is optimal.

Great app! BUT ONE MORE THING. I love this app it’s so easy to use and it’s great if you don’t have iTunes. I can’t complain too much but one thing that could get added on or fixed is when your playing music you can access the rest of the app it would be cool to listen to music and still stream the web or view the rest of the content on the app without stopping the song from playing👌🏼 and if you can put a shuffle mode for the music it would be AWESOME! Other than that the app is AMAZING. *********** Can you add playlists for the music so I can keep my hood rat music separated from my classical music. Please and thank you! **** So an update made it where you cannot listen unless your in the app, does not even let you lock your phone. Until this is fixed 2 stars. 2 Years With Aloha; USE THIS BROWSER. Sadly, I am writing this review because I am no longer going to maintain Aloha as my default browser. I have, for better or (sometimes much) worse, fully immersed myself in Apples playground. My day-to-day has just become harder to manage by not using Safari. Apple is a wildly aggressive company. They hobble any app that could possibly chip away at their mountain of dominance. And sadly Aloha has become, rather, HAS BEEN a target of this aggression. That being said, USE THIS BROWSER! Aloha is worth absolutely every cent of the ten or eleven bucks they charge PER YEAR. It has excellent security features I’ve never seen on other browsers. It has a Crypto wallet. It has a robust VPN, free of charge, that can cover ALL of your devices. Alohas UI (user interface) is clean and efficient; it’s always easy to navigate the app and find what it is you’re looking for, be-it surface level settings or more advanced settings/options. I have Aloha automatically turn on the VPN when I open the app. It’s nice to know you’re safe with an app. That doesn’t happen often anymore. There’s a lot that makes Aloha special and worth giving a try. No, I am not a fake reviewer or something. Just some 33 year old dude lost in Ohio. I just realized it was kinda a big change for me switching browsers because I had been using Aloha for so long. I really felt like this app deserved a nod and some recognition. Give it a try. I doubt you’ll regret it.

Suggestion for Tab View. A feature that was implemented to the Safari browser that I think would work well in Aloha browser is the ability to search for tabs. In Safari’s tab view, when you swipe all the way up, you reveal a hidden search bar in which you can type in keywords to search through your existing tabs. This can prove very useful when you have a lot of existing tabs open. A search bar would make things much easier instead of having to scroll through every single tab to find what you want. Nearly perfect app. First, I want to say I’m a real person and not getting paid or anything to say this lol. And I’m also not a review-writer, this is maybe the first positive review I’ve ever left. The download and file storage capabilities go above and beyond other “file manager” apps, but the hidden gem this app has is the video player. I haven’t come across another app on the AppStore or Google Play that is able to smoothly seek thru the video by sliding in the middle of the screen. VLC app has it, but it’s not real-time seeking as you see in this app. Great job. The only thing I think that could be improved is the ability to zoom in and pan around rather than locked into one spot.

I used to love this app.... Update:developer contacted me and said to enable ad-blocker and it should fix problem. Nope. I always have ad-blocker on. Even turn it off and turn it back on and still no change. Original review:When the app actually works right it’s everything I want in a browser/downloader. That was before it started buggin the f out. Now every time I try to use it, it force opens the App Store after a page loads. When I close the App Store and go back into the Aloha app, it’s no longer on the page I was viewing, but instead it’s several pages back. Sometimes this happens as much as 5-10 times back to back. It’s rather frustrating to even attempt to try to get a page to load. What’s the point in even trying to use this app when I’m constantly getting sent to the App Store? I’d love to give this app 5 stars, because when it works it is definitely 5 star worthy, but I just can’t do that until this problem is fixed.

Good. It’s mostly good, however in what I assume is the latest update, when you watch a video, it doesn’t go into the general video format that any other video played on full screen in any other apple app does. When you go full screen, you can only use a slide bar, which isn’t very accurate, or you can tap on the screen to forwards or backwards by 10 seconds, and that is even less accurate. When I attempt to double tap, more often than not it just does nothing. Just go back to the way you had it, where you have a dot on the drag bar that you can easily drag, and just put in buttons that let you go forwards or backwards by 15 seconds. This is at least the 2nd time in the years I’ve had this app where you’ve tried out different video playback methods, and both were bad. Just go to the method that every iOS app uses, and it would be perfect

A Great Browser But Could Be Better, Needs Updating. I’ve been using Aloha for about two years and I’m really happy with how it’s progressing, I use it alongside Safari. Although my biggest gripe is that even despite paying for the yearly subscription the premium servers don’t seem to be any faster and the ad block doesn’t always work and is hit or miss, two big things that need addressing. In addition the app has become unstable in recent updates and it doesn’t always load pages or videos/websites properly so I hope that gets patched. Overall the customization and ease of use is very handy and I love the file storing and video downloading system, if the app was faster than Safari and had more snappy, QoL updates I’d call it perfect. I hope to see it continue to improve.

new update is a no. I think that there are many features of this browser I feel are efficient, and I feel it is simple but works great enough to be my go-to browser. However, the recent update to the tabs has made me feel less positive. When I open a new tab now, whether it is a regular, private, or background tab option, the tab is opened at the end of all the other one, instead of opening right next to the previous window. This makes navigation a lot more difficult than it was, and I don’t even have the option to move the tab back towards the previous one or resort my tabs. Small change, but it really made me feel that I would rather just use Safari for the easier navigation. I also think there could be more ways to customize settings to the user’s needs, as speed dial on the home page is crowded with dozens of news articles that I don’t need.

My favorite app for web browsing securely. I like this app a lot. I eventually set it as my default browser. Has great security features and the video player is my favorite of any other app. Safari has now incorporated some of the features like swiping anywhere on screen to scroll through a video but this app has more intuitive controls like swiping up and down on the screen to the left; for controlling brightness, or on the right side of the screen for volume. Absolutely brilliant, now I don’t have to flip my phone upright, swipe down from the top right corner to bring out the control center to adjust either of those. It also makes downloading media from just about anywhere on the web a breeze. Try it yourself, the average user has more than enough features at their disposal without having to get a subscription, however anyone who’s serious about their online privacy knows you will have to shell out some dollars for any kind of respectable defense online. Their subscription is inexpensive and offers mostly convenience options to add to what is already available for free. I recommend it for everyone. Decide for yourself though whether their subscription is right for your needs.

Update Ruined the Movie Player UI. The UI change is bad and intrusive when watching videos. I can no longer zoom in the videos to fit my iPhone screen, before 1 double tap into the video and it would fit my screen. In landscape mode, if I want to fast forward or backward 10 seconds I have to now double tap left or right respectively and have the black backdrop interrupt what am watching, where as before the player had 2 small non-intrusive clockwise & counterclockwise 10 sec icons on the screen - they worked! Perfectly! I know that by scrolling up or down while in landscape mode decreases volume or brightness, but sometimes I just like to adjust my volume by pressing my phone’s physical volume buttons, now when I do that, a dark/black banner drops on top of the screen, why?? That did not happen with the previous player. Also, the player buttons are so big, where as before they were small, fit, and not distracting or intrusive. Maybe make these big buttons and controls an “accessibility” option or something. Give us options. Don’t fix what is not broken. The player now looks and feels like a cheap generic player. I don’t mind change, what I do mind is change that does not improve from what was replaced.

Restore Purchase Malfunction. Aloha browser has been my go to. With its ease of use and privacy focused functionality alone, I would recommend it to any of my friends. Also it’s in-app media player/downloader and file management system are both excellent and far surpass any other browser I’ve come across. However, I only give three stars because for some reason, annual subscription I’ve purchased on my iPad hasn't been transferable to my iPhone through restore purchases. I’m not sure we need to purchase them separately or not but from my experience usually the subscription could be shared with a multiple devices with the same iOS account. If this is a bug, I would like it fixed. But if it’s not I would like others to know before purchasing the subscription. Regardless, I thank the people who created this wonderful app for us.

No longer allows you to dl in High Quality. I have no problems downloading, but then I'm still on the last update, not the latest. From many reviews of the latest update it sounds like downloading is broken. So I won't be updating. I updated to this version (1 before latest) because downloading suddenly stopped working altogether on the version previous to that. But it always gave you a choice of what quality you wanted to download in, up to 720 if available. Now it gives you no choice whatsoever and will pick a lower quality than the best. Not a good situation. I've used Aloha for years, but now I'm looking for other alternatives, unless there is some way I can specify HQ.

Not so private. This app works really well for browsing and downloading videos. It also is very secure with either a passcode or a face ID. No one can see your photos or videos unless they have one of those. However what is not so private is that any files that are downloaded also go into the Files app on the iPhone. The files app has all files on your phone including the ones from Aloha and it is not private at all, anyone can access it if they pick up your phone. UPDATE. A developer responded with a simple fix. Go to Settings in the download section. Toggle to OFF to not allow saving Aloha files in the iphone Files app. Problem solved! Thanks for the hint!

UPDATED - Add more features that don’t make sense. Solid browser with excellent dev team support. Why would you replace a functional gesture (swipe down to exit full screen video playback) with swipe to change brightness and swipe to change volume? When watching videos how many times do you need to adjust the brightness? Never? Yeah, me too. If I really need to adjust brightness all I have to do is swipe down from the top-right corner of my screen to access Control Center. In fact, I like that there is one level of separation from the active task and the brightness adjustment. This makes adjusting the brightness an intentional action instead of accidentally accessing a hidden control. And there are dedicated buttons on my phone that allow me to adjust the volume level so your second hidden control is completely useless. What I don’t have is a dedicated button to exit full screen video playback. If you are going to rip off features from better media players, at least have the decency to incorporate the ability to disable that feature in settings. And try to show some common courtesy when publishing updates by actually describing the changes in the release notes.

Three Years With Aloha!. Let me start off by saying I read the review regarding the gentleman reluctantly leaving Aloha and I understand him completely. But let me tell you, I simply refuse to quit using this browser. I read their entire privacy policy and it doesn’t get any better. The app is simple, easy to navigate, fast as they get, never crashes, almost 0 bugs, the best video download capabilities, a killer crypto-wallet, and add in a privacy policy that’s THE BEST in the business and when I say that I say it with confidence. You couldn’t come up with another like for like product to make me switch. Thank you Aloha for keeping me safe, fast, and worry free for 3 years I look forward to the next 10 using your product line.

Very good. This software is quite good. Much better download manager than safari with an easy ability to copy downloaded files into the native files software. I only have 1 criticism of this app. Due to the built in vpn service, the only way to buy premium on this is through their subscription service. Those like me that already have their own vpn subscriptions have no need to buy premium despite our support of this product. My suggestion to the developer would be to release a separate version of this browser with the vpn aspect removed and charge 5 or 10 dollars for it. It they did, I and likely many others would absolutely buy it with no hesitation. I am aware this review probably won’t be seen but that is my feedback. The other minor nitpick is that the app requests ratings more often than it needs to. I was already planning on writing this review and recommending it, but the frequent rating requests were still quite annoying.

Option to enable cookies showed in settings! Yay!. What drew me in to this browser was that this one actually has an option to enable/disable cookies in settings. Yay! Another competitor didn’t have this in settings and I got very irritated to the point I wanted to switch. I was trying to do schoolwork and it required to have third party cookies enabled to open an external tool on my iPad. It still doesn’t let me open the tool inside the browser but if I open it within my school’s app it will open the page. Maybe developer can fix this issue? I’d like to do all of my work on the browser and not have to put in extra effort to switch apps. This browser has everything I need to make my surfing private down to the VPN. Plus it even has a sale for 80% off! I couldn’t afford brave’s subscription plans so I decided to get this one. Thank you!

ABSOLUTELY GREAT BROWSER Except For One Thing. I absolutely LOVE the video player. I think the ability to control brightness and volume just by sliding your finger vertically is revolutionary. Also, it's so nice not to have to drag vertically to adjust the seeking speed and then horizontally to actually find the spot you want. If Apple was smart they'd do something similar to yours. I also love how you can download any video from any site. I have only one complaint and it's a kinda big one. I wish there was a way for me to back up my bookmarks and downloaded videos. In the past, my phone has gotten wiped and every time I loose all my bookmarks. All in all, I have yet to find another app with the same features and that's what makes it so great.

Perfect browser VPN good feature but not done right. 5 star for privacy, 3 star for built in vpn. I like how I can use Face ID to log in, the browser looks nice and the UI is generally clean. Perfect for what you need. I got this because I don’t like knowing how my ISP can see what I'm searching and I’m also lazy to start a different vpn. VPN is a great feature and works (mostly). The speeds on the vpn are slow and I do not recommend it for out of browser use. VPN is reasonably priced so I can’t say this is the worst vpn ever but disconnecting when you leave the app is a little long and isn’t good if you are gonna be downloading big things. If the vpn is was faster I would give this app a 5 start.

Almost Everything I Need in a Browser. I have been using Aloha for about 2 years now. The VPN aspect isn’t really what I go for, rather I wanted to pay for a browsing app instead of giving my data to the big wigs. I hated that chrome wouldn’t let me save certain images, but not this bad boy. It’s easy, comprehensive, and the downloading capabilities are far more flexible and accessible than any other app I have used for music, videos, gifs, and files such as pdfs and word. The only downside is that there’s no “find in page” for text, but if you like saving files and images easily, hate corporations having access to your personal information, and like having a simple streamlined browser, this one is for you.

Fast app and stellar customer service!. I recently installed the free version for my iphone and soon upgraded to premium, because an introductory discount price was being offered. The browser is fast and I l love the option for phone-wide vpn! I had questions along the way and was super impressed with the very fast and knowledgeable responses (within a day or so if memory serves) from customer support. At one point I hit a bump with phone-wide slowness with phone-wide vpn turned on, but that soon resolved itself, though customer support also suggested switching to a different server. I love the app and the customer support is AWESOME!

Disappointing update!!!!!. WOW! What have the Aloha team done to this app! I understand in always trying making this app better, but y’all went backwards on some of the features that made this app easy to navigate. Here are my negatives: 1. I can’t minimize my videos while I browse from my file in the Aloha menu or scroll through my open tabs. 2. I can’t listen to audio from music or videos in the background while using other apps. 3. My videos or audio stops playing when I screen lock my phone. 4. No option to disable the feature when Aloha saves and resumes exactly where you stopped watching a video. In my honest opinion, I don’t like this change at all. The older version was far better and I hope it gets reverted back (at least those four features that I mentioned).

Suspicious Behavior. This browser has been great, but I have a concern about what’s going on under the hood. At certain times when I use it, when connected to WiFi (but not EVERY time..just occasionally), it will cause my phone to heat up significantly and will crash a few times. Eventually, it stops and works just fine. I’ve opted out of all usage/diagnostics sharing (everything you’re able to opt out of in the privacy section), so something else is going on here. I’d love to do a packet capture, but I’m unable to do this in my current situation. I’m using an XS Max running the latest version of iOS, so my phone is more than capable of running this browser, spec-wise. The developer seems to respond to a lot of reviews, so I would really appreciate an explanation for this.

5 Stars Period. This web browser is everything the UI is beautifully made(I mainly like it because it’s sleek) the VPN services seems pretty awesome(but that’s probably because I have little knowledge of VPN’s) and the video player is amazing I definitely like the browser more because of the video player, the fact that you can slide Horizontally to seek through the video and sliding Vertically(dependent on which side of the screen you swipe on)changes the brightness and there volume. This video player is the main reason why I love this browser. But I do ask that for when you are watching videos while using Bluetooth for audio that you don’t have to use the OSD(On Screen Display) lock to get the video player UI away but this only happens if I using a specific Bluetooth device so it’s no problem. As of now I honestly don’t have any other requests for this app(aside from optimization updates)but that’s bound to happen anyways, keep up the good work guys and I thank you for this fantastic browser!

More than just a pr0n browser. I downloaded this browser because i needed a functioning browser for viewing the hub and to stream pirated movies on 123movies, but ive come to making this my default browser finally switching from brave after they stopped giving us the option to keep our earned BAT coins and im so so glad i had done so at the end of the day. I love the GUI and the depth of the customization and the variety of settings to tweak around n play with till it's perfect for you. Love the desktop view capability, actually works. The app redirect on/off switch is utterly fantastic, truly shows how the dev team has gone above and beyond for us. As for the premium features, i was extremely lucky to be fortunate enough to begin my premium experience for only $5 on new years day a couple years back and i still to this day only pay $5 a year for access to the vpn service and everything else it has to offer. Thank you aloha!!!

It’s well made for the most part. I only gave it 4 stars and not 5 for one reason and one reason only. It might not be a big deal to others but the irony isn’t lost. So upon opening the app you have the ability to have a news feed like most browsers at the bottom and you can customize this to your hearts content. The problem I have with this feature is that it’s powered by MSN! Yes Microsoft! Why would I want a Microsoft product on my iPhone? You claim to be all about privacy but with that one feature built in you’re still giving away any security you may have with a piece of that company built in... they track everything regardless of what you may think. Unfortunately in this day and age you don’t have any privacy on the web! None what’s so ever! Your carrier knows what you do with your phone and what you look at on the web, there’s no way around that period. But I digress, it’s a good alternative to others but it isn’t really blocking much from the big players, only certain websites

Scintillating, Seamless, Smooth.. It's no exaggeration, this app is the cream of the crop as far as I am concerned when it comes to being a one stop shop browser that can do any and all a user with reasonably standard expectations could never get from most any other browser that's out. I tried Google, chrome, safari, edge, duckduckgoo, Firefox, and opera. None of them have me a built in video Downloader that organizes files quickly and easily with a break down of my storage space left that loads faster than the built-in apple stuff you use in settings. It has an elite VPN you can use on this and every other app. The premium let's you use a trial if you want but it's so reasonably affordable that I went for the yearly option. And yeah there's alot more features than what I even said so far.

Read for 2022. If you need an app for you know what then this is it, make sure your device is prepared for the amount of things you’re about to download with the easy to use downloader the player has 😏. Other than that it’s an awesome browser, the Adblock works like 90% of the time (yes some ads still get through like pop-ups and what not) but hey it gets the job done. There’s also a VPN you could use that’s built into the browser. All this for free which is awesome, and if you want to support the devs you have an option to buy a subscription which will increase the efficiency of certain things and give you customization options. (I bought the $10 yearly deal if you’re wondering which imo is honestly worth it).

Dose what I wanted and more. Unlike most apps on the Apple store this app actually does what it says it supposed to do. I use this browser more than any other. I wish they had a desktop version. The only thing that I think is missing is a reader like MICROSOFT EDGE has but that’s cool I have to use third party readers for Firefox, google, and safari because I don’t like their readers. I would get this app even if it was just for the player. The player is the best for touch screen devices all controls are accessible on player. The downloading can sometimes download files I couldn’t get with my other downloaders and I didn’t have to give access to some widget or third party. That doesn’t seem right (Firefox/chrome)

Absolutely great. I have lived in Hawai’i all my life, so when I first heard about Aloha browser, it caught my interest right away. I later found out that there wasn’t really any Hawaiian connection but that wasn’t a problem for me. I had already become a big fan and a daily user. I won’t go into the enormous list of excellent features available in the FREE VERSION of Aloha browser because there are over 200,000 positive reviews that already do that quite well. So I’ll just touch on one of my favorite features… Aloha browser has the easiest downloading system I have ever come across. Coupled with it’s on board, high end player, Aloha removes all the ridiculously complicated steps that seem to be the norm for other browsers that offer file management and downloading. Apple’s iCloud file system could definitely learn something from Aloha’s system. These features are available at no cost, which is truly remarkable. Well done. Pricey for what you actually get. It does what it advertises, just not well. Yes, It can download just about anything, but if you download a large file it will crash. There is a resuming function but it doesn’t really work until you reboot your device. Closing the app, restarting the app, refreshing the page, etc won’t cut it….I have to reboot my entire device, which is time consuming and annoying. I’ve had to reboot my device in order to resume the same download just for it to freeze again a few seconds later, all while having to repeat the same process. There’s nothing wrong with the downloads because I was able to download the same files through a different app on the same device 1st time around. I’m not even downloading multiple things, just one file with nothing else running on my device or even wifi. I’ve even allocated my device to take priority when downloading.

A Really Terrific Browser. This is one of the best browsers that I’ve used. First off, of all the dozens of browsers you can download, this is the only browser I could find that would download videos. There may be others, but I couldn’t find them. And to be truthful, I kind of stopped looking because this one worked so well. The other great thing is they have a pretty good help page in case you have a problem. Also, they seem to be responsive to what people say. There was a problem a while back where, after an upgrade, I couldn’t download a thing. But I kept the browser on my iPad to see what if anything they would do. Sure enough the released this latest version and it works better than the first one. Oh, I should also mention that I’m talking about the free version. Can’t beat the price.

This is the one your looking for!. If your looking for an app that will actually just download what you want (and yes xxx). This is the only app Ive been able to find that will just grab it and stash it in a file at your request, while your watching it. Want to watch something else? Just click on another video, it’ll open and you can watch whatever caught your eye while still downloading what you wanted, getting bored? Want to just fill up a file so you can watch whatever, whenever ,wherever? I’ve had over 30 windows open recording on 20 of them simultaneously. Got the built in player, browser, file manager, privacy lock, and will even play any VR your looking for. My only gripe is that the player doesn’t have slow motion or enhanced speed, don’t get me wrong, after using the interface for touch control, and you can just about get it to do what your want anyway. I’m always on the hunt for a better app, there just isn’t one, and whenever you use another media player you’ll wish it worked like Aloha. This is probably the app your looking for if you can’t find one for such escapades,

Terrible glitch!. I’ve been using this app for forever now, and it’s great, but there’s something you guys need to fix. So, whenever I’m watching a video file in the app full screen, and I pull down to see my notifications for other apps, or even when I pull up to my control center, or when I click off of the app for a slight second, or answer a message, the app cuts in half. So I have to click off of the video, and find where I was. Or, even when a screen notification pops up, saying that I need to update my device, an app won’t download, etc...this glitch still happens. It literally cuts the video in half, so that one part of the screen is pitch black, and the other is still playing. This is awfully annoying, and I’ve been waiting for u guys to fix it for at least three months, but still nothing. I would have given it five stars, but this glitch is terrible, and you guys need to acknowledge it! Please!

Almost Perfect.. Aloha devs, you made something excellent, hats off to you. But there’s one thing missing… being able to view my tabs in a gallery view or have the tabs/URLs arranged in a list. If you also use or have used the DuckDuckGo browser you’ll know what I mean, the tabs are much easier to keep track of when you have a gallery of small previews rather than giant tabs displayed practically one by one. And that’s the only issue with Aloha, is that you scroll through your open tabs in a very inefficient way. A tab in the user interface of Aloha has a large picture preview of the webpage and its title, but each tab is so large scrolling through them to find the one you need gets annoying since you’re liable to get buried in tabs quickly due to their size in the interface. If you browse a lot or are trying to use your phone for business/productivity, you might get overwhelmed quickly. I know I do. I use DuckDuckGo for heavy browsing and Aloha for more concentrated web related tasks from my mobile phone. Aloha devs, add the gallery view or list view and this will be the best privacy centered browser on the iPhone.

Incredibly useful but fearful.... It’s an amazing web browser and incredibly useful, especially in a closed off marketplace like iOS has. You’re able to download compatible mp4 videos, pictures saved to the browser files or your camera roll, free VPN for browsing and downloads, and even background video playback! It’s incredible and refreshing in an environment where all of these features have been gutted out of modern mobile browsers for money. This does make me worry though, because most apps that let you do THIS much don’t tend to last long without some sort of update removing or severely limiting the features that made the browser popular in the first place. For now though, it’s a faster browser and a safe bet. I think for 99 cents to get the ad free version, there’s no better browser on iOS.

Overall good app, could use some improvements. The app is probably the best browser app on the AppStore right now. I absolutely love it. It does need some improvements though. For one thing, it would be great to be able to search for words on a page, similarly to how it is possible on Safari. It would also be nice to have a brightness/volume scrubber lock while in video, so you don’t accidentally change a setting when scrubbing through time. I’m not a huge fan of the subscription premium model, I would much rather pay a premium once and be done with it, as I do want to support them. You don’t really lose anything too major by not having premium, so if you are content on using the free version, it’s just as good.

Awesome browser!!. It’s hard to find a browser that is everything you want it to be, feature loaded, private, etc. I’ve finally replaced this with safari or I should say its about a 80/20 split which says a great deal since I’ve been a safari user for 8+yrs but old habits die hard. However, I can see this completely and relatively quickly having me off safari for good. Really enjoy using it and like that even the general layout to the app icon just appears inconspicuous. I’m a pretty particular individual even so that my mind will allow me to dislike an app to a certain degree based on color scheme of the icon and home page (I know it’s crazy but I’m not the only one out there). With that being said from front end to back end I really enjoy using this!! Keep it up guys hope to continue to see good things from ya!!

Sooo much potential. Love it . Feel like usability and security could be at the top . Still has rough edges , formatting, some lipstick in a few areas and more additional features that more mature browsers have , but if they stay on this path and churn stable , quality updates like they have been. It’s gonna be my goto hands down. Great job so far folks One feature request that is so needed these days with all the injection %#*^ going on would be a dev inspection tab , that at a minimum would “looove” a pattern match block pre-load. That is so needed for the iOS platform at the moment since iOS has no real way to firewall this stuff. iOS has to get this ability in some way whether it’s a string match , object or ip address. I think most folks that have seen all the recent jazz going on over with the current market lead browser would agree. Would be a grand slam, killin it keep it up!

The first gentleman’s review I read pulled me into the app. Apparently he was doing a little “T-Rex Tickle” or “Tug-of-Privates” or the Southside Jazz-Hands [Solo without the Jazz Band]” or “Bernstein Bear Grip”, “Summer Piggies [All 3 Going To Market]”. Anyway, got a little carried away….but he was having a little private time and enjoyed how seamless and smooth his process was with the browser. I now am a fan! Probably more than him. I was doing the “PEEK-A-BOO JONES N Friends” for 3 hours straight! Love you freaks!

Gone downhill. It was great when it first come out . You could do multi downloads now you have to pay a monthly fee and if you go off the page it stops the download. Its not worth it anymore and they constantly have deals which keep popping up! I use another app it was one and only one fee, was a lot cheaper and in doesn’t stop downloads when you leave the page. Aloha has had its day!

Nice browser - Pity about the Newsfeed. I must admit that I quite like the speed and browser functionality. However the increased bias of newsfeed to anything originating from the Murdoch swamp made me cringe to even give three stars. It would be nice to at least have a choice (apart from turned the newsfeed off completely)

The video player is the weakest part.. This app needs an update really bad. The video player has no toggle, volume control or resume play from last view. It also lacks the function to access the files from iTunes. The score would have been higher otherwise.

Disappointed. This was my favourite app to use until the privacy policy was changed. This defeats the purpose of having the vpn. This is a quote from Aloha Please note however that certain third party websites which you might access via our browser and even with the VPN feature enabled might log your actual IP. Please also note that some of our select partners might also log your actual IP details. Aloha collects information to provide to third-parties if obligated to do so by rule of law - meaning that they are likely to pass on your data to authorities, especially if asked to do so.

The Best. The best web browser/vpn service/video downloader/Adblock and all in one available on AppStore. 10/10 without a doubt. However, couple of suggestions: 1: prompt for download the video when it’s ready would be great. 2: there is a lot of room for improvement on video player. (A) 1x, 2x, 4x speed options with swipe right in screen can be added. (B) Having no volume control on screen is sad and annoying. (C) Adjusting brightness with swipe up and down would be amazing. Stuck on lock screen. Hey developers the browser just got stuck on the lock screen and this is the second time i had this issue couple of months earlier too. I had to reinstall the app after uninstalling with all the bookmarks and my data in it

Multiple select and save or transfer. It’s still missing the multiple select to save you can still only do one at a time

Video player has a major flaw. Their player essentially re-streams the video every time you switch to it by going fullscreen, and it also doesnt cancel the default site’s player, meaning you’re essentially streaming the video twice using twice the bandwidth and buffering t at half the speed you should be. Waited over a year thinking surely they had at least half a brain to figure out such an obvious flaw and fix it, but nope, guess I gotta point it out for them. At the very least they could give an option to not use their player and just use the default one

Could use a few features. Excellent browser, but lacks the option to force desktop for some sites that are still lacking functionality. Also the ability to block switching to Desktop mode causing the associated mobile app opening because I'm trying to access features that are not in the app yet. In particular Twitch resub message submissions are not available in the app but when you use the link in their mobile site it opens the app. SO INFURIATING! If you can add these features Aloha would be hands down the best iOS browser for me.

Slow and unreliable. Very disappointing to find a VPN that operates such poor download and upload speeds, but worse still the VPN connection is intermittent at best, as is the Wi-Fi connection. After another issue that was preventing use of an app and not response from support for a couple of days I’ve asked for a refund. Security issues are too important to be stuffing around.

Not formatting correctly on iPad Retina 1. Issue is actually intermittent, have contacted support and provided a screenshot Issue was resolved by resting app settings. Seems the initial setup failed to correctly recognise the screen attributes. Works well on iPhone 5s but on my iPad Retina it goes of the right side of the screen. Obviously only supporting later 16:9 iPads and not older 4:3 iPads. This means the options on the right are off screen and unreachable.

Works well. I have been using this browser for a number of years now and if asked would recommend it. However I have recently found that when the split screen is invoked accidentally on an iPad, Safari starts up and even if switching back to Aloha, Safari ends up opening pages called in Aloha. Of course when closing Aloha, unwanted logins in Safari remain open - not great for security reasons. I do not know if this is an Aloha issue, an ios feature or a user problem, hence continued 5 stars.

Fantastic. This is the best browser ever, it has most of any PC browser functionality - the most important one is the ability to download and store files; something that Safari or Chrome cannot do....good work :)

SUGGESTION ‼️. The app is great, very useful. But it would be more useful to be able to transfer files from my phone into the Aloha app. When I transfer a file from my files app into the Aloha folder, it can only be seen in the files app but not in Aloha.

A new problem. This app was really amazing and i used it everyday, but the latest aloha update messed up the the hole download section. Whenever i download a song/anything it gets put at the bottom of the folder instead of the top... I tried the "sort by" feature but it didn't help. I was gonna give this app a five star rating but im gonna give it a 3 because of the problem...

Good browser so far..... This would my 5th VPN that I have downloaded, as I cancelled my subscription from the previous 4 due primarily to my emails not getting through when the VPN was operational. Regardless, the respective technical staff attended to the matter, however I believe in the end it became “ too much “ for the techs. I am optimistic that Aloha will prove vastly different and even though I have downloaded the App, that process was seamless, compared to what I have experience. Thus the 4 star rating.

DuckDuckGo Support. I personally attempted to switch to Aloha after Google removed the “view image” button from Google images. Google chrome wouldn’t let me change default search engine to DuckDuckGo, so I searched for others. Aloha was almost exactly what I wanted, but for some unknown reason, when viewing an image in DuckDuckGo, Aloha’s bottom menu blocks the “view image” button, which was the main reason I switched from chrome. Please update the browser to properly support DuckDuckGo images. Thanks for the hard work! Update: it has been quite a while and no fix has been created. I am yet to return as a result. I appreciate that you have found the bug but would’ve appreciated more if you fixed it. Thanks!

Please fix!!!. Great app, really love it and it’s definitely the best video downloader on the App Store. However since the latest update video downloads always lose connection as soon as phone is locked or you leave the app making it impossible to download larger files, even with background app refresh and downloads turned on. This used to not happen but now has become quite a problem. Please fix this, thanks.

Awesome!!!. Best secure browser with all the bells and whistles and FREE!! Sick of being tracked by google etc, this app also gives you the choice of search engines ie duckduckgo. Get it now and reclaim your privacy! Just one thing missing is the ability to block trackers (google analytics etc) as Ghostery does in real time. However you can clear them in privacy afterward. Got worse. It was amazing before i could download multiple things at once but now its one by one. Also there was literally no ads and i loved it, and only a few days ago i got like 5 or 6 ads on a website that was relatively clean. I’ve realised it’s happening with alot of sites on the browser and im kind of annoyed because it used to be amazing.

I use this instead of safari. It is way better then safari because 1) the private mode is private unlike safari which is sent straight to people who want to send you ads 2) ad free 3) it can actually save videos

Great app but lacks search bar. The app works great for me at downloading and use of vpn. However, having a search bar in the downloaded file section would be really helpful if I wanna look for a certain file by name.

Downloads. To improve on your download folders is to add a swipe feature to view everything you downloaded instead of exiting each file to go onto the next. Other than that it’s really smooth.

Overlay navigator. Since 2 updates ago, you removed the video navigator where you could swipe your finger over the video on a vertical screen, but not full one and move forwards or backwards. Please, as a devoted fan of your app put it back.

VPN and Adblock stop working on some sites. Unfortunately it’s been 2 years since stop blocking ads in YouTube and many other sites. Couple of updates from the developer but still not doing what it was promise and what used to make this one of the best privacy browser for mobile use. I had messages from the developer multiple times when I updated the review at the 4th month mark and the year mark and I don’t think they are planning to ever block ADs on YouTube again. Very sad but it’s been way too long and I don’t think is going to happen.

Great, cheap app limited by slow speeds. Enjoyed my first week with the app so I opted to buy the yearly subscription. Unfortunately, following this, the app slowed down considerably with videos taking forever to load, not loading at all, or stopping mid way through. Same goes for the random webpages I search, they either never load, or take a considerable amount of time too. Made sure the check with the preloaded to safari app to see if it was maybe my internet connection, yet the app has no problems. Want to give it more stars, but can’t justify it.

Context Menu. Good browser for entire life use. However the context menu is what hold me back, just look at Chrome it context menu is totally different and that what's needed even it's WebKit also. I need Open Image, Open Image in New Tab and Search [search engine] for This Image. All iOS browser have same context menu as Safari and that's bad, that why I can't stop using Chrome. Please add those functions in near future.

Best Search Engine. Best of all. Especially features like disabling itunes,hiding downloads,almost no adds or error and best thing it dont collect your data or linked itself to ur cloud. 😻

Amazingly reliable and secure. I’m amazed this app is free. It downloads videos from most sites quickly and securely. Thanks to this app I have a great collection of videos to watch offline because you can transfer them to your computer and then store them in a safe site.

Suggestion. Edit: The suggestion is regarding the initial opening of the app, not background tabs. I like the app, but defaulted to opening in normal mode defeats the purpose. Makes more sense to let the users decide what version the app opens too via settings (normal or private) Correct that & I’ll update to four stars

Better than most but lots of room for improvement. 1st. Lay off the notification spam. Not cool 2nd. Work on your Adblock. Not even 2nd rate yet. 3rd. Night mode on the webpage. But that’s bonus points I turned off allowing notifications for your app. If I want to spend money on your VPN I will do so without you spamming discounts and deals at me.

Adblock shield no longer works. I had loved this app, but now I am worried as the Adblock shield no longer works with the new update. I deleted app and reinstalled, but it won't work. Also am worried about the safety that the app actually offers, as it says it will collect some info. If the developer could respond through here, it would be great

Fixed The Problem. Had a Connection Failed error for every single download. Tech support was proactive, contacted me regarding my negative review. Fixed the problem, suggesting I use a second download link. Very happy with the solution.

Used to work great but now….. Sites are completely able to stop this app from viewing any content. Server_error_sub is the message that is displayed. Hopefully this can be resolved.

Cant Play Background videos. Used this app many times with the video playing in the background, now I can’t play a vid even if I close the app after downloading IOS 16. Please help me fix it

Simply Stunned. I’ve used Aloha for about a year or so now and bought their “year-long” plan for relatively cheap. Considering all that they offer, the sleekness of the UI and video player, the security of it, and how easy it is to navigate, it seems a crime they charge so little. The function to have “phone-wide VPN” is incredibly useful, and that you can test to see which VPN locations are quickest for your connection is lovely too! I know this sounds like a paid ad, but I truly do enjoy the use of Aloha! VPN and have recommended it to others.

Decent, secure browser. Can’t switch tabs! Got a new X and needed a new private browser. This with the Russian VPN seems like a decent browser, but I can’t switch between tabs. I can close all or go back to the last tab. There is a Private Mode, so, technically, I guess I can switch between 2 tabs. Needs to be fixed before I use... uninstalling. Update 12/4: I had uninstalled app since I had no way to swap tabs. After Developer reply, I reinstalled it and had no problems switching tabs. Definitely seems like a decent, secure browser providing you don’t get that bug. As a note, VPN appears to be Russian based. For general protection from big brother or public WiFi, this might be sufficient. With VPNs, you usually get what you pay for and should take that into consideration when using it. Update 12/8: Bug that prevents me from switching between tabs is back. If I hit a link that opens another tab, I can’t get back to original tab.

Priceless. How can you put a price on peace-of-mind? Sure, some sites don’t like it when you try to access them thru a VPN. No problem. I can always disable VPN at any time. But, it’s my choice. Then, just a quickly, I can turn it back on. Why won’t this site load? What’s it trying to do? VPN helps me to pause and ask myself if I really want to access the site. I like that it helps me reconsider what I’m doing. Just a little extra “thought check” in this world of fruadsters and scammers. I’m really glad I decided to pull the trigger on this app.

The #1 browser for iOS and media player. Great for downloading video files and decent media player that has full functionality EXCEPT FOR an option to change the play-rate/ speed of the media player. Would rate 5stars if this capability was added to this app. Otherwise, it’s near perfect for my needs. Overall I am very pleased and impressed by this app’s design and performance. Please add the option mentioned above and I will personally create in-app purchase sales by word-of-mouth advertising and social media promotion.

1 thing. Best mobile browser by far, but Say you press the home button while in a private tab; (I “have require passcode” on private tabs, not application) when you reopen the app, instead of it opening to the private tab for a brief second and then requiring your passcode, could you just reopen the app in a non private tab? If you do what I said above, you’re able to see the tab briefly before it requires a passcode, and also you can make out shapes and colors through the passcode screen, and even if you click cancel it’ll show your tab briefly. It’d be nice to have 0 worries about that. Other than that by far the best browser. Edit: also a “Find in Page” would be super helpful !

Very good Browser and file manager with one major bug to fix.. Love the app, it works and has become an almost daily used application. There is definitely a bug with saved .gif play back in the file browser. Every saved gif plays back at fast forward speeds. No matter the source. Could you include playback control or at least let them play at regular speeds. I save gif files out of Procreate, Werble, and ImgPlay as well as downloaded gif files from the Aloha browser. All have the same issue once played back In Alohas file browser. I appreciate your continued development of this great application and would love for you to squash that bug. Thanks!

Good app but there's bugs. I really enjoy using this app it works well for downloading and its performance is almost as good as the other browser apps, however there is an annoying bug that makes me slightly reluctant to use it: every so often when I go to close a tab I am not using anymore it will close a different tab instead, I've tried a number of things to try to work around it but it doesn't seem to help I feel like it you guys looked into it the app would be one of the best browsers.

Almost Perfect. [I sent them feedback about this, but the form disappeared while I was editing my text (yes, not everyone writes with a microphone. I hope that doesn't make your head explode), so who knows if they got it. Hopefully, I accidentally sent it.] I love that Aloha lets me download images directly into folders of my own choosing. That appears to be unique to Aloha. What I don't like is that I lose my place whenever I close the browser window. I can't just come back to whatever I was doing, like with other browsers.

I’ve Tried To Continue My Support. Firstly, there’s truly nothing wrong with this app with exception to the inconsistency of the video player controls. My frustration is with the UI. No dark mode, the developer has repeatedly told me in exchanges that it’s in the works. It hasn’t happened. No microphone search. No option to auto fill sensitive data. This just to name a few. If you’re looking for a browser this app will work and it does it well. It’s just way behind competitor apps in technology, feel and especially aesthetics.

Same-o same-o. I thought Aloha was supposed to be different. Well, I guess in the sense that you purchase the premium version and use a vpn to ensure your privacy (so we’re told). Anyway, sure that’s good if it’s true, but what isn’t good is that they censor the search results just like Google and DuckDuckGo. And that means it’s nearly impossible to find unbiased, trustworthy information. That’d be fine if I was naive and gullible & didn’t care about the truth. But thankfully, I’m one of the last few free thinkers, that doesn’t believe everything they see and hear & seeks out the truth from multiple reliable news sources, which are getting harder and harder to find. So if you’re ok with the truth being intentionally kept from you, then you’d probably get better results from Google.

Background play is working but is choppy. The app used to not play videos in the background about an update ago. Now on this update it can, but it’s still buggy. If I play a video and exit the app to multitask SOMETIMES the player works. When it works and I return to Aloha, the player is stuck/frozen. For example, I play a 10 minute video, then I leave the app to multitask while listening to the audio for 5 minutes. I return to Aloha and see that my video isn’t at the 5 minute mark and is instead frozen in the beginning and I would have to refresh the page which is inconvenient because how am I supposed to know exactly where I left off?

5 Star App/Developers. Only wish I would’ve found this app long ago. I have literally tried and or purchased every other web browser app in the App Store and this one by far is the best. The option to adjust font size is brilliantly incorporated, no other app does this right! Most others are so overly weighed down by complicated gimmicky features that simply do more harm than good. Purchase the ad removal it is more than worth it. I just want to thank the developers who not only created this app, but continue to maintain it, great work!

Add more features that don’t make sense. Why would you replace a functional gesture (swipe down to exit full screen video playback) with swipe to change brightness and swipe to change volume? When watching videos how many times do you need to adjust the brightness? Never? Yeah, me too. If I really need to adjust brightness all I have to do is swipe down from the top-right corner of my screen to access Control Center. In fact, I like that there is one level of separation from the active task and the brightness adjustment. This makes adjusting the brightness an intentional action instead of accidentally accessing a hidden control. And there are dedicated buttons on my phone that allow me to adjust the volume level so your second hidden control is completely useless. What I don’t have is a dedicated button to exit full screen video playback. If you are going to rip off features from better media players, at least have the decency to incorporate the ability to disable that feature in settings. And try to show some common courtesy when publishing updates by actually describing the changes in the release notes.

Best ever, some serious bugs. This app is almost the perfect downloader app for iOS although there isn’t any rivals in this level, but I’ve come across this problem and suddenly Aloha can’t download anything so please do something about it. I reinstalled the app and it works now but my bookmarks and other stuff are gone, it doesn't matter to me but it's still a flaw and if possible it'd be perfect if you add the option to move the tabs and to save the order of the tabs that are sorted by the users preferences Ps: this new update on 19 april 2019 has some bugs that were actually fixed in the last version but they are back and this is really annoying so please fix it soon

Please there should be an access point to this browser of signing in and out. It will be of great help if this browser can have a access point of login in and out so to keep files safe when switching device, I lost my files from the previous phone I w Was using because when I got a new phone and downloading back the browser it was all afresh I started from but would have been much more easier if I could just sign in and get all my previous files back

Very good overall, with some amazing, some weak features. This is a revised review, because I wanted to cover a balanced approach. The app itself is fantastic. It performs very well, and has some of the best downloading and navigating functionality I’ve seen. The free VPN performance is very mediocre. It connects, and you get the data, but it is very slow. But it’s free, and I guess that’s the point. I don’t really use it anymore, since I have a paid VPN account with a dedicated provider. I will assume the free version is targeted toward casual, occasional use. But Aloha overall is definitely worth a try for use as a secondary, or even to replace Safari.

App is solid functions not so much. The app is great. I’m able to gather and store files and images on my phone. The discretion functions are better than most. Transferring files from my phone to my computer is daunting. It doesn’t sync like other apps have in the past. To get programs off, I have to do them individually through the cloud and then rename them to what they used to be. It’s daunting if you are trying to be organized. Not sure if improvements will be made. I recommend it whole heartedly. Just want to see what else can make it better.

Worth the subscription. This browser is hands down one of the best I’ve used. The video player and how it’s seamlessly integrated into the ui is amazing. File sharing is great for moving over videos and pictures and the fact that I can do this with just about any file makes this even better. Like other reviews I usually use this app for music mainly, so I thought that maybe I could make a little request; maybe making a shortcut for downloads and the like so that we can listen to music with the press of just one button. That would be absolutely amazing.

Videos player downgrade please. I’m begging you to please bring back the feature that allows the video player to still go on when you put it in that mini screen n go to like a different link. That was one of my favorite futures about this app, even though i was on a whole different site, the video was still playing on the miniscreen in the corner. Now every time I put the video on the mini screen n I click on a different link or a different video, the mini screen vanished along with the video 🤦🏽‍♂️. I’m asking you to please bring that back!!

Think we got a winner here.. Well after years of looking for that one browser. Download after download, install after install, followed soon aftrr with the delete botton hit. But this browser supprided me. Wonderful clean interface. It really does pop out at you. With the ability to change thrmes. All you Typical settings. It Does have a desktop/mobile agent as well. Just very tricky to find. You may want to put that in the main settings menu. But overall really clean really quick privecy, adblock... etc. I have never Said this before but my third-party browser for Aolha is now my main browser to replace safari. Great job Dev.

Awesome Browser (not just for VPN). I think I have downloaded every browser out there, and this is hands down the best. I don’t really have a use for the VPN feature, although it’s a good option to have I suppose. The entire layout is so user friendly- easy to navigate favorites, the news on the home page is customizable, videos are great (swipe up or down on the left for brightness, up or down on right for volume- very convenient). The only issue I had was the speed, it would get hung up on certain pages and take forever to load. The new update fixed that. Great app.

SUGGESTIONS HERE. This is everything I need. One big thing I notice is that when youre playing a video, and you decide to lock the phone, the video keeps on playing in the background and you can hear the audio pretty much, even if its displaying the pin unlock page. Another one is the screenshot that iOS takes when exiting the app. There are many times that the webpage you were viewing was taken a screenshot and it shows briefly upon re-opening the app before the app displays the pin unlock page. The last one is when watching video. Pressing the view fullscreen mode button relaods the whole video and starts over (as opposed to just making the video display larger). Its like the inline webpage video player is entirely different from the full screen video player. Perhaps using iOS native player would help? Thanks guys for the amazing gift youve given the world. This app is pretty much the best of its class out there and I cant wait to see it become even better. Cheers!

New version a downgrade. For people like me who use Aloha primarily for the private browsing, this new version is completely unusable. In the old version, to access the private browsing tabs, there was a small unremarkable icon that you had to press to open. Anyone not already familiar with the Aloha app would never know what it was for. In the new version, however, they got rid of the unremarkable secret icon for private browsing, and replaced it with a button labeled “Private”. Seriously. A button labeled “Private.” Right there for anyone to see. Turned an otherwise phenomenal private browsing app into a totally useless piece of software. Up until this week I would have rated this 5 stars. Now I’m giving it 2 because at least the VPN is decent. So sad. Somebody wasn’t thinking.

BEST at what it does .. THE BEST at what it does. As stated by others, the functionality of the video player is beyond compare. The ability to drag finger horizontally to go forward/backwards in the video, and vertically to either increase/decrease volume or brighten/dim the screen (depending on the side of the screen the gesture is performed) is one specific that makes Aloha the best! Worth every penny. (After years of iPhone/App store interaction, this is the VERY FIRST review I've ever made, not for any incentivized reason such as a discount, but simply to be helpful in letting others know: this one is for real...this one is the best.

VR player needs re-center feature. This app is easily the best browser and media player combo, hands down. I’ve used it for years and swear by it, I’ve tried maybe half a dozen others and they’re not even close. Although the biggest problem for me is the VR player is only useful if you’re sitting up and looking forward because the camera position is locked in and can’t be moved / recentered. So if you try to watch VR on your back you’ll be cranking your neck and head up & forward. If that was changed then I’d just be nitpicking and looking for meaningless issues, like the font could be better lol (the font is fine, it’s just a joke).

Great app, needs update. Great app for a browser and to download and view VR videos. I just switched from iPhone 8 to iPhone 12 mini and now the VR viewer doesn’t display correctly. I think the pixels aren’t scaled correctly anymore so now everything appears smaller (zoomed out). So while it takes advantage of the increased pixel density it comes at the cost of objects in the video appearing further away or smaller than they should. This would be a five star review if the fixed this (also would be nice to see that the VR viewer correctly identifies your phone, I can’t see anyway to check this).

Best Browser and File Downloader out!. This is literally the best app out for browsing and downloading files. Private browsing is awesome. You can download anything from the internet and have instant organization in the app. 5/5 for me Note: If you download the ios 16 beta, videos wont play and are bugged out. So for anyone that is going to the ios 16 beta, wait before you download. I had to revert back to ios 15.5 today because I couldn’t stand not being able to play my videos.

Wish I’d used this in high school. At my high school they used to track every site you visited while connected to the WiFi and block literally every good website. While a browser and vpn aren’t exactly all that useful to me right now, I’m sure they would’ve helped me a lot back then especially with the built in VPN. Recommend this for students on public WiFi networks that track everything you do. All in all a good app that I’m not keeping because I don’t really have a need for it. If you’re eyeing this app and have some free storage, I’d just say go for it!

Fantastic browser. Better than Brave.. Honestly! Look at the privacy information in the App store. Brave collects browsing behavior. Aloha only collects app diagnostics (crash information). Aloha is the only browser I use. Features pretty much match the ‘Big name’ browsers. Where I think Aloha shines is with its internal file management system. Want a browser that actually downloads files, stores them, and allows you to transfer them to other apps? Aloha does this, flawlessly. It doesn’t get better than Aloha.

Best browser I’ve come across.. I mean there’s plenty of browsers on the App Store. But if you’re looking for something that goes a step further than Safari or Chrome this is it. The browser can literally rip any audio or video from any webpage. Has its own mini file system. And you can even lock the application altogether. Like I said, best alternative I’ve come across and it’s been years now. I’ll even go as far as to say as aloha kind of gift Safari and Chrome a run for their money, that includes Firefox and Opera.

Useful app but with minor quirks. I love the app the file feature is awesome being able to passcode lock is a boon. My two biggest gripes 1. the pop up blocker doesn't work still having sites open new unwanted tabs 2. Almost every update when I use file search in the file secondary app the results turn up nothing yet all the material is still there minor bug but somewhat annoying. Overall everything gets a solid 4 stars would be a 5 if said issues are resolved may change my review upon next update.

Great app. I've been looking for an app like this for a long time. I've encountered no ads, but I haven't tested its VPN feature because I have another VPN on my phone. It's got a great and simple to use bookmark function, it's fast and easily downloads pictures and videos, so it meets my needs. Creating folders and organizing files is easy too. Apparently it downloads music but I haven't tried that either. My one suggestion would be to make it able to go from one picture to the next by swiping left.

Update broke video scrolling. This app used to have great video scrolling, i.e. you could slowly swipe across the screen and it would fastforward or rewind at a constant speed proportional to the distance swiped in real-time. Now, it attempts to find the point you want to go to and then compress all of the visuals fastforwarded/rewound through into a set 2-3sec animation, which slows down as .ot approaches the destination. This looks visually more stimulating, but is removes the very useful real-time preview. It was amazing for scrolling through long videos. Now I have no idea where I'm sending the video to. Please bring it back.

Amazing Web Browser. I’ve been using Aloha for just over a year and it is one of the best mobile browsers out there in my opinion. Enables you to download and store videos on the app, built in VPN and many other features. I do wish they had a cloud network that could be used with a laptop to transfer and keep files and they took away the option to use a custom photo on the home page that I wish they’d bring back. Seems like this app is constantly being updated which is nice. Very functional and fast browser and I would definitely recommend

Awesome Browser. This browser is great. I thought the VPN would slow data transfer a lot, as all VPNs tend to do, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that is not the case. In fact, I'm getting 12 Mbps down and 5 Mbps up with only 26ms latency. I've never gotten that kind of bandwidth from any other VPN. Ever. I would LOVE to make this my primary browser and give it five stars. The only feature it needs is the ability to fill passwords using a third-party app like 1Password. When I bring up the share sheet, I see that 1Password is not available to me. All major browsers support this, so I hope it's a priority. I'd really like to make this my primary browser.

Best browser out there, no exceptions.. Seriously, this thing is a literal Swiss Army knife of features. It has all the normal bells and whistles of a traditional mobile browser, but also includes built in VPN and Media/File manager. If you're looking for an alternative to the default Safari app, this is it. EDIT: After using it for about a week or two longer, I do notice a glaring fault in the video player. There is currently no way to set a video to repeat, and it will automatically switch to the next video in the list. Hopefully, this will be changed in a future update.

Good Until It’s Not.. I’ve been using Aloha as a browser for a few years now. While their are things I love about it, I also have some issues with it. I tend to get half loaded pages or refreshing a page and then it being totally blank. No, it’s not my internet. If I open another browser it’ll work fine. I don’t know what’s causing this issue but it causes me to actually copy the website and open it either in safari or mozilla. This is, obviously, irritating. If these issues get fixed, my rating would certainly change. Edit: HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT FREEZING?! I will have sometimes only ONE tab open and it will completely freeze, close the app, and still can’t do anything. This also needs to be fixed!!!

The Best Browser on iOS but where is Background Download. This is hands down the best browser experience available from the intuitive media controls and customizability. Unfortunately it’s no longer able to download files in the background, the option seems to have been removed. In previous versions one was able to start a download and leave the app or turn off the screen, come back later to find the download complete. Now you can’t leave the app or turn off the screen because when you return you’ll find your download will start all over again. Huge step backwards and incredibly annoying. This warrants minus two stars.

Best Browser for downloading. I love the ease of the interface. Extremely self-explanatory and easy to Navigate. It’s download ability is remarkable. I’ve tried several other browsers for this specific ability to download web contacts. I have found other browsers to be complicated and ending up with many error messages and very few completed downloads. Aloha can have multiple downloads running at the same time Without loss of function or speed. I’ve used this browser for about a year and a half and have been extremely pleased with all aspects.

Dead On The Money!. Names Fausto, love this app. Gives me that sense of security and privacy I’ve been looking for. And it’s super user friendly and almost more appealing to simply browse. Awesome job guys, I look forward to go premium, but I couldn’t find an option to use apples integrated accounts and password manager under my settings or the app settings. It would be nice to create an account under Aloha too, so that I could back up things such as bookmarks, reading logs. As I’ve acquired so many articles to read that I would hate to lose them now. Patiently waiting for an update, thanks again guys.

AMAZING BRILLIANT. I’ve literally been using this browser for 3 minutes and I’m already in love!! Absolutely amazing everything you wish safari could do, this thing does AND MORE plus it’s so incredibly easy to use and navigate. There’s still some tweaking that needs to be done but it’s nothing that’s crazy bothersome. The only thing they could do that would make this app flawless is to add a couple more settings options! This is definitely a “take my money” app. Also developers a lifetime purchase option would be great as well :)

Hands down the best!!!!. Hands down the best app in the “free apps” store. I’d go as far to claim It would exceed expectations if you paid $9.99....... Which also makes me worry a mandatory subscription will be included in an update sometime in the near future. Nevertheless, and has rekindled my enjoyment in perusing the “Utilities” app section which seem less and less innovative as of late...... Special appreciation to whoever pushed for the UI forward and backward scanning function. Best of any media player in & out of its class. Only request.....I’d love to see “Video Speed Control” functionality be added.

Help. I bought premium and have been using the app for a while when the tor vpn only came up as “t” in the setting and when I tried to open .onion urls it came up with a screen that said tor url detected and wouldn’t let me see the website. So I deleted the app and reinstalled saying I wanted to keep my subscription when I deleted it. When I get back in...my subscription is still gone. The app is perfect in every aspect other than this and I’d love to be able to use premium again

Nice browser with some cool features. This is a nice browser with one horrible feature - swiping up or down on the screen when a video is playing controls the volume. I don’t know about you, but I am accustomed to swiping to close videos and return to the site - but now if I swipe up my volume goes from 0 to 100 and scares the crap out of everyone around me, myself included. I have a volume button, if I want to adjust the volume, I’ll use that. Please disable this “feature” or make it a setting that I can adjust.

The App constantly evolves!!. Wow! I gave feedback and asked about a scrolling feature when viewing photos, and then went beyond that and added a slide show feature along with the scrolling! Not only that, but the app has been updated to allow me to listen to audiobooks and music while I surf the net. If I want to listen to a downloaded guitar lesson while viewing chord charts on a website, that’s now possible! The app was already good but they really brought it up with the last update; the app just keeps evolving and getting better and better! No telling what they’ll do next, but they do take feedback to heart! =))

Continues to get worse. The devs continue to remove capabilities at this point, without adding anything new or useful. Plenty of sites have protections built-in that prevent you from downloading from them. Furthermore, in the years that I have owned this app, this is now the THIRD time this app has deleted all of my saved content. That's right, all of it. The files section now shows nothing. Which is strange, considering the app takes up a substantial amount of space on my phone. So, essentially, all of my content is still on my phone, but the app has deleted all of the available links for me to get to it. The worst of both worlds. Wonderful. Absolutely incompetent. Tl;dr: Getting worse, sometimes deletes all your downloaded content for whatever reason, you'd be better off finding a different app.

My favorite browser app. I've been using this app for a few years now, and I think I can firmly say that deserves the high ratings that it has. TL;DR: Give it a try because it's worth your time. LR: Like things that I like about this app are: - It's MOSTLY Free (what I mean by this is that they do have premium option, honestly I don't need it. The free functions parts of the app are enough for me. - It has customizable privacy settings (like you can enable Face ID and passwords for applications, downloads, or for incognito tabs) - Video play functions idek the term for this (But whenever you watch a video using this app, it allows you to...) • swipe left to right to scroll through the vid, •(left side of screen) swipe up/down to change the brightness. •(right side of screen) swipe up/down to change volume. - Blocks ads ( NOT ALL but I think it does block some ads)

Overall pretty good, but some things to iron out. First off I like the look of the app and the inclusion of a vpn is great. I do have a few issues though. -There is no way to reorder tabs, which, if you many open tabs like I do, can cause confusion. -Sometimes on start the app seems to shuffle tabs around, worsening the above problem. -I think the app should always open on normal tabs, period, because I have seen it open to private and begin loading before the vpn activates. -This could come from my wifi, not the app, but I have seen it start loading a private tab with vpn, and the vpn will shut off while it keeps loading without it; sometimes this comes with the vpn switching on and off repeatedly. Resetting the app fixes this for me. -I have had the problem others report where all tabs will only load part way down several times, but resetting the app fixes this for me too. I think that with a few added features, this would really be one of the best browser app out there, and I hope the developers read this and can tackle these problems in a future update. Thanks!

They share your IP with partners. In their privacy policy they acknowledge that they allow partners companies to log your IP address. Here is a quote from their website: “Some of our selected partners might log your actual IP details. Said selected partners apply same privacy and confidentiality provisions as ourselves.” If you care a lot about privacy, this may be a problem for you, but if you’re simply trying to get past Wifi/location restrictions you probably won’t mind. I do not believe they share or log browsing history. REPLY TO DEVELOPERS: Thanks for taking the time to respond. I am a bit overly cautious with privacy and I just prefer to have my IP shared with as few people/companies as possible. — I noticed that the news on the new tab page of the browser seemed to be showing me local-specific news from my actual location. I had the VPN on and its IP was from another state. I also had location services off. Does the news feed bypass the VPN or is it one of the partners that is allowed to see/log it? Thanks.

Great features, easy to use.... I love this App. It's simple to use download virtually everything that I've tried. My only suggestion would be to redesign the browser saw that each page is put In historical order. Also if you accidentally hit in the wrong button on the browser spam pop-ups opening in webpages, relentlessly. I don't know if the Aloha is getting revenue from this, but if you aren't do some filtering please. I like the options for resolution choices. One other suggestion would be to allow us to check whether we're downloading yet HEIC or mp4, as many of us they have either old or max that don't support the new codec yet. It is the easiest and quickest way to download from the web.
