Updates,tools and purchases...oh my. First let me say I love the idea of this game. The graphics are cute and the story line is fun. However, the issues with game play have caused me to walk away from this game many many times for weeks to months in duration. Just today I cannot open the game . It says I need to do an update yet none is available. I was enjoying the Halloween themed island and waiting for tools to generate, I reopened the game and am blocked due to the update issue. Everyone knows about the tool issue. You never get enough to progress. I purchased an in game pack and was double charged. While the did fix it, they did so by giving me two small packs( I had originally tried to buy 1) so I ended up paying the price of a larger pack but getting less because it was done as two small packs. Never even got an apology for the double charge. Every other company that I have ever had an issue with will include a small bonus as an apology and a Thank you for staying with the game.

Tools tools tools. I agree that this game is awesome. Really fun and unique. What I hate, though, is how long it takes to do anything. Once you get past the second island up top you have *one* renewing well. Islands close down permanently once you complete, so I stalled on leaving the island that had the two renewing wells for as long as I could. It’s REALLY stupid that the buildings went into storage but those wells didn’t. There are plenty of creative ways to get people to spend real money (like zombucks for Brainy workers, or the flash bangs) but just to cut down a few trees should not take two days of waiting on wells. Hell, I would even use zombucks for a renewing well that didn’t just disappear eventually. The devs really need to heed people saying this, which is why I am giving two stars for a five star game until they do. Edit to respond to the developer: but the problem is not how many tools you have—it’s how long it takes to *get* enough tools to actually be able to accomplish the game’s objectives. There isn’t enough quartz to keep building the non-renewing wells, and one well is so not enough to make progress at a pace that makes the game satisfying. It was fun when I had three; then I left that island, lost the two renewing wells, and went back to barely playing because it takes way too long for the one well to even get enough tools to cut down one 85 pick ax rock or 65 chop ax tree.

Once you’re well into game, almost impossible to get ahead.. Quartz needed for Wells is nearly impossible to come by .... Gears are slow to obtain and gone quickly (required to have 45 Fire Hoops — Each Hoop requires 5 Cables (It takes 1 Gear to make 1 Cable — 45 Hoops x 5 Cables = 225 Gears Required to make 45 Hoops) this is just one minor hurdle you must pass. You can buy MoneyBoxes until your broke and still won’t have 225 Gears. Unless you want to continuously pay to skip requirements or spend real money to purchase their play money to buy your way out of requirements .... you can be stranded for weeks trying to get what you need to move forward. ...... plz fix crash issues! Crashes 85% of the time whenever you’re running it in the background and you switch back to it ... operating on ios 13.7 ... gets to the point where I’m so frustrated if I have to see opening again where it’s reloading or constantly refreshing that I close the app myself.

WAS A 5 NOW MAYBE 3. Hey!!! Are you listening to your customers out there?? I’m beginning to think this review area for your company is a file 13. Ithink the tool issue is the foremost problem. This morning as an example I got 4 picks, 8 axes, and 12 machetes from two wells. Ewwwww I played a LONG time with that!! NOT Also as has been properly noted the quartz issue. There should be a way to make it. Or decrease the amount needed to build the well. Make the darn things last longer. Permanent would be nice. Maybe put a cap on how many one could have? One last thing. I read a post on here that you could get quartz from towers. True....BUT, my personal experience with this is (after achieving level 44) And after building three of them I have received zero, zip, nada, butkuss from these buildings. Bottom line... I’m so ready to walk away from a game which I used to really enjoy but has become SO frustrating. So corporate tech people!!!! Are you listening??? Nope?? I thought so... So long, sianara, chow, au revior. You’ll not be getting anymore of my $$$.

Patience.... I've been playing this game for a year. It takes awhile to accumulate the supplies to build wells, to have enough 'cooked' supplies on hand, etc. But patience pays off after a few months. Seldom do I complete an island, but what seems to pay off is collecting from treasure chests, gardening, and cooking. I accumulate, then sell things and buy whatever buildings are available and affordable. Opening treasure chests, and especially back packs, seems to be the best way, in my experience anyway, to build up provisions for weapons...also using the golden shovels/piggy banks on the Big Land island. I save the Zombie dollars to buy the cooks and treasure hunters that don't need brains. This seems to make a big difference. I really like the newest updates...it's a great way to earn extra Zombie bucks!

Fun game. Fun game. Very addictive. Would like to have neighbors to trade with... Update... After playing for a year I still love this game. The help support our right on target and answer every question and concern within hours. The updates or regular and keep you on your toes. They keep you interested in the game. I would like to see more decoration items for your islands like a large palm trees etc. right now after you've cleared the land the only thing you can put on them as rocks and flowers. Other than that it's a very fun game.*** update again. After a year and a half, still love the game and the customer support is awesome! Would still love to see more decorations like palm trees and stuff for islands.🐠🐠

Fun, but.... I like this game, it’s fun to build and explore, and I like the little quests they give you to keep it progressing and challenging. However I agree with others that unless you buy-as in pay actual real money- “Zombucks” for “Bangs” (basically bombs that clear larger areas at once), the game can be ridiculously slow as you wait for the wells to replenish your tools. Also, I have hit a point where I am totally out of quartz- something the zombies mine to help build wells- and so cannot increase my tool capacity anymore. It is stupid that the wells max out at 100 per type of tool (pickaxe, axe, machete). There should at the least be the ability/option to raise this, either with Zombucks or with XP as you progress levels. Another issue is I purchased “brainy stone miners” on Big island to harvest stone. Now there is no stone left and I am stuck with all these guys. You should be able to place them on other islands. In spite of these things, Overall though the game is fun as you can farm, clear islands, complete quests, build, sell things.

Love the game, but I need more tools!. Love the cute zombie stories, love all the tasks and the different islands. There’s something very satisfying about clearing a map. It’s clever, colorful, love the design. I did however only give it 4 stars for one glaring problem. Lack of tools. It’s hard to find crystals to use to build more wells, to get more tools. I only have about 1 minute in a half of game play before my tools are out. I’ve spent a few bucks here and there but I’m not a person who spends a lot on games. And this one needs a little more game time before it wants me to open my wallet. 1 minute in a half isn't long enough to hook me or make me desperate for more tools. If I could suggest some improvements: 1. Increase the tool cap or remove it. It’s not necessary. 2. Create more ways to gain tools, or make crystals easier to get. Most maps require you to snake around the entire map before you can get the crystals and the featured maps don't give you enough time to get to them before they disappear. This is a problem. More tools. 3. More tools offered in daily checkins. The calendar currently gives me things I have never used and everyday I wish they’d just give me tools. For those reading this review, this game is definitely worth the lack of tools. Fingers crossed that changes for the better though:)

Totally love this game,BUT.... This game is amazingly fun until you have to wait and wait and wait to get the tools. But you need to build new tool wells to get to the next island that is impossible, cuz the materials you need are hopefully on the next island you cannot get to without the freakin tool well! It’s beyond frustrating! Even buying the zombie dollars don’t help with the game making sure you can never get the tools you need. I love everything about this game, except them making it impossible to play for more then 5 minutes and have to wait an hour to play again. And end up screwed with no tools! They need to change how the wells are made. I would hate to just give up on the game cuz it’s driving me crazy!

Resources. Like several people have commented over the past many months, getting the tools to clear islands is ridiculous. I have 3 permanent wells and can’t leave an island or 2 will go away. In addition I built more wells for more tools and when I collect I get stars instead of tools. There are comments here from a year ago that the devs were looking at this and it is still the same 85 pick ax for 1 stone. The last timed island gave a well, but it was so hidden that I didn’t discover until the island was ready to expire. In addition the objects needed to complete the tasks always require the same resources. I started this island with several hundred time, and needed so many that I needed zombucks to complete, but I guess that is the point. The last island was super glue. Everything needed used super glue, which is a complex and time consuming process to make when you need hundreds of them, and the island is ready to expire. It’s been fun, but getting too frustrating, so goodbye my little zombies, we had a good time

Great game and getting better all the time!. It just keeps getting better! I understand people’s frustration with things like tools and time, but why would developers create great games if they could never make money from them, this game can be enjoyed without spending money, but not as an all-day obsessive thing. Maybe they could consider charging for the game as an option? At least these guys seem to be listening and trying to improve all the time! I still love this game, they've made some great improvements, I almost never buy anything-it's very possible to play and never pay, but you have to play a lot! The designers are always available to answer questions and fix things-I thinks that's quite amazing! They upgrade often. It helps to build lots of towers to win quartz for tools. And yes, it can be hard to get enough tools, but they are giving us more on new islands, and they need to make money somehow to keep this fun game going.

Great game.. I really enjoy this game. It's fun and interesting. There's lots to do. Many islands to explore, and there are always extra islands popping up for limited times. The graphics are great and the music is catchy. You get a daily bonus, and at the end of each week you get 10 Zombucks which is very generous of the developers. The only problem I have is the same one everyone else is complaining about. The lack of tools. The game is very slow if you only have one well. I'm not one of those people who refuse to spend money on a game. If a game is well done and I enjoy it, I will spend money. It's not easy to make a good game. It takes a lot of people, and they deserve to be paid for their work. But I'm not rich! Lol. I will spend some, but not constantly. Someone mentioned being able to buy a renewing well with Zombucks. I think that is a great idea. Please consider this. Thanks for a great game!

Fun but Frustrating. The game is fun, one of my favorites. The story lines are clever, the challenges are entertaining, and the graphics are cute. But as other reviewers have said, the game is designed to force you to buy zombucks. If you have a limited cash supply, as most gamers do, you will be frustrated when you cannot finish tasks and challenges, especially since the “helps” in the game are VERY expensive, and you are limited to 100 of each tool, and you automatically lose any tools over 100. I agree with a previous reviewer that getting rid of the 100 limit so that you get to keep all of the tools you collect would be a huge relief and would encourage gamers to purchase more. I will say that when there have been glitches in the game, the developers do fix them. For the first nine months, whenever I watched an ad I would not receive the promised reward for it about half of the time. The developers were supportive and the glitch was fixed.

Like it Better than Klondike. It’s fun and definitely can play a lot longer than other similar games like Klondike where cut down one Boulder and your done for next couple hours unless you buy the energy. The Z dollars purchased goes much further as well when buying items for game. Tool wells, don’t like they run out and you have to have a lot on your island to have enough for tasks. There are times it seems no matter how many you build there is never enough; for the timed islands- which eat up tools quickly. Also I noticed if an area requires an pick mostly due to lots of boulders or a an due to lots of trees - you seem to get less of the needed tool. For instance when I’m not working an island I get all tools pretty much evenly. But start using axe a lot and the wells give less axes. Same with pick. Support said that is not the case. But my experience is there is a decrease in a needed tool from well. I will suddenly start getting more of the tools I’m not using and less of the tool I am using.

Love the game however.... Oh my stars this is a fun game!! The story line is hysterical! The islands are imaginative and the graphics are brilliant, vivid and engaging. The problem is, as most reviewers have already commented, you cannot complete any quest, you are not given enough tools. It is sooooooooooo frustrating. So you garden a while so the water wells regenerate tools, however, they will only regenerate 2 - 4 each which is hardly enough to complete a quest. You can populate Love Island with as many water wells as you can afford yet then you run into the issue of a shortage of blue crystals to build them. It is quite exasperating all the way around. Even with 10+ water wells you still do not have enough tools!! Thank you Developers for the beautiful pond though...WOW...the chance to win swords!!! My love for this game gives it a 5+++ yet my frustration at constantly running out of tools after 10 minutes of game play takes away a star.

Love this game!. Whoever developed this game did a great job! I follow along and can’t believe how much thought was put into every detail. It’s challenging but easy to navigate if you strategize. Some say tools are hard to get but I don’t think so. You can get quarts in your exchange sets, your treasure hunters give you signs sets, you can make logs and plenty of boneberry. You have to look around and get to know what’s available to you. They give you plenty of golden shovels that give you many things you need. You can sell to get coins, exchange to get coins, I’ve never ran out of coins. It’s not suppose to be that easy. Some people want something for nothing. This game gives you every thing you need. I have spent some money, 1.99, 4.99, isn’t bad considering the developers have put so much time and energy into creating this fun game that is free I would hope they can make some money from all their talent. Love the zombies, the creative islands and graphics and love this game! Brilliant!

Absolute fun!. I’ve been playing for a while now, and although I’d love to be able to stock more tools than the 100 limit, and the elusive quartz crystals are few and far between, I’m still in love with this game. Standards like that tool limit, the time limits on special islands, and the requirements for building or growing things have all remained consistent from level one through level 55 (my current level). I’m not a fan of spending a lot of money to play a game, but I will occasionally splurge when there’s a BOGO sale on Zombucks so I can buy extra bombs or swords. I don’t always manage to finish all the goals of a special island, but I’m not competing with anyone here. I’m playing for fun, and this game has entertained me for quite a while. I’ve only ever had one glitch, and customer service handled it nicely.I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time with Zombie and his odd crew.

Intriguing but very very frustrating game. As others mentioned, this game has many appealing qualities. And way too many primary flaws. The tool problem is utterly ridiculous. I’m currently on Pirate Island and have cleared the main goal, and have been systematically clearing all the remaining obstacles, too the point that only rocks are left. 75 lava rocks - requiring 55 to 125 pickaxes each; over 55 black, green, and white marble rocks - requiring 25 to 35 pickaxes each; 35 grass topped hills - requiring 85 to 155 pickaxes each ... and only ONE well to get them! Early in the game I fell for the stupid trick of buying miners to break up rocks and woodchoppers to cut down trees - only to discover they ONLY work on the first TWO islands! What the H*&# is their point? Why so many options to get them, only to not be able to use them??? The deeper you get into this game, the greater the frustration level becomes. I go sometimes for days without even looking at the game - just not up to feeling jerked around so much. Adequate quantities of quartz or temporary wells on ALL the islands would make the game enjoyable as well as playable. As it is, I’d not recommend getting involved in it unless you have nothing to do but waste your whole life away getting 4 or 5 tools at five minute intervals - and only three cycles maximum in “inventory”. (Meaning you can’t just wait for them to accrue - you must constantly clear the well to accumulate anything.) It’s really a shame.

Please Help!. Today, I made a lot of progress in the game. I bought two things, the basic pack, and 350 zombucks (700 from 100% deal) for $9.99. I also got many things cleared and unlocked, like the rest of Mad island and a bunch of quests. After the new update came, I lost all the progress down to yesterday. My ID is 282-LI3. Are you able to restore my progress or at least get my purchases back? Update: Apparently, the newest update just restored all my progress. I just wanted to let you know that the problem is solved. I don’t know if it was a glitch or a problem with my phone. I’ll let you know if it ever happens again.

Game is good but..... I really don’t think it’s fair that we build the well to get tools and after awhile or after you get so many tools they disappear or expire you really need to fix that cause I really think you guys do that for us that play the game want us to spend money on the game.. think about it us game players would stick around and keep playing the game if you’d fix that plus give the zombies longer brain playing time geez unless you have their camp right beside what they are going for it takes more time for them to clear what you tell them to do.....please make the game more fairer that us that really like the game to keep us playing... over all it is very fun and entertaining thanks !!!ill give it 4 stars for how cute and entertaining the game is

Fun but tedious at times. This game used to be tons of fun, but now its super tedious trying to get tools or the materials in order to build a well. It worked well for a little while as I got my zombie miners to get quartz and zombie cooks to make T-bone berry, but now my big island is out of quartz mines and I have to wait for there to be an island that has quartz on it and cross my fingers that they drop enough quartz to build another well. The new temp islands used to have multiple wells on them, but now you’re lucky if they even have one. There needs to be a different item used instead of quartz to create the wells, something more sustainable. It’s not a free game if you have to pay to play. There’s no way I’m paying tons of money for tools to play this game. I would rather just stop playing it. I hope the devs change how the wells work.

great game. I absolutely love this game but I have a few questions issues that could make it so much better. First off you should be able to have unlimited tools. I personally check my game every so often when I have a minute to spare to let my tools build up then when I have time I like to go in and play also the tool ratio is off. I always have too many machetes and nothing to cut with them, this makes the event islands almost impossible to complete also there shouldn't be building materials that are only available on certain event islands. I have 3 buildings that I have been waiting months to build because I didn't have the snowballs to build it until dino island and still won't be able to get the materials because of the tool issues. Lastly I think if we are cooking something than it should continuously cook the item until we run out if the ingredients or manually stop it especially if we are paying for extra brains to cook. The wood cutters and miners continue to do their job until they finish the rock or tree so why shouldn't the cooks. I would have easily given the game 5 stars if it weren't for the tool issues alone.

Suggestion. First, great job responding to player feedback. The game has become much more enjoyable and has reinforced my loyalty. This is the game I play most. I only have one suggestion at this time. When I use the apparatus to a speed up the cooks, if I have less than enough to speed up everything queued up, will you speed up the items that have not been started yet. Example, I have 8 cooks working (3 active recipes, and 6 queued up). I have 4 stars in the apparatus. I think it would be a better experience to clear out 4 of the 6 queued up and leave the 3 active that only have 15 minutes remaining, versus clearing the 3 active and 1 queued, pushing the queued recipes to active and upping the wait time for the next recipes to be complete. Hope that was clear.

Zombie Castaways. I love this game... very challenging at times... Where is the new update after Halloween? I have beaten every island and my Halloween island has now disappeared... next... please?! TOOLS: In order to maintain enough tools to enjoy each round of ZC, you must build more wells. I currently have 15 wells in operation at this time. QUARTZ: There is a definite shortage of quartz in game so to obtain more quartz you could build castle towers and acquire the quartz that way. I currently have 12 castle towers that give me 10 quartz when I win the spin. You can also place several treasure hunters and mobilize them to find “street sign” collectibles to make a set and obtain one piece of quartz per set. Access to these sets are found in the “chest” icon. I have up to 8 treasure hunters going at any given time... GOLD: You can obtain gold by selling collections, individual items, and prepared recipes. Everything for the most part has a selling price in gold. Treasure hunters and fishermen also bring in gold. *I absolutely NEVER spend real money on this game and I currently have beaten it, just waiting on the next island update. Much improved, back to 5 stars!!. If you look through the reviews you can see how disappointed I was in September with the game changes; I wasn’t the only one, either. But I have to compliment the creative team, they listened and made changes that made the game so much more enjoyable. If you want the short version, treasure chests still abound, but they no longer get in the way and block the gameplay, they are now a helpful option again. And I absolutely LOVE the weaponsmith on the event island, he is a terrific resource for tools! I am so very happy, this has been my favorite game for years and now it is the fun game I look forward to playing in my spare time again. Thank you for listening and making great changes!

Awesome, except the crashing. I absolutely love this game, but it crashes every so often and it is annoying. It started to crash and freeze every five minutes, so I had to send some report in. I've done that ten times. Hopefully it gets fixed sooner rather than later. Also, sometimes there is a glitch, where all the tools aren't properly counted and it doesn't correct itself. I hope these issues are fixed. Other than those two issues the game is very fun and addictive. I'm going to try to see it through but that may not last too long. The game no longer crashes anymore with the new updates update: game has worked on the crashes

Great game!...with a few MAJOR flaws.. The game is very cute and well designed. Yes, the tools are challenging to get and can cause frustration with slow game play but I can live with that. My biggest problem with the game is the timed quests. They are way too short. Many of them are only four hours long and when the timer runs out the next one automatically starts. I go to bed, wake up and go to work, and when I get home I log in to find out I failed 2-3 quests. What is the point of that? Don’t you want me to potentially spend money to complete them? If so, you have to give me time to work to earn the $, and as a human being sleep is necessary. Once this happens I just give up on the island and quest line because I lost the story line (which could also be more well developed to create curiosity and interest.)

Love this game...Why are you twisting towards Klondike?. I have played this game for YEARS and really enjoy it. I have cleared nearly all the islands and appreciate what one dev once replied to a comment about lack of resources (quartz/gears) that it’s a game to relax with, not a horse race. So why are you chasing what you’re doing with Klondike? Where you get “bonus” game boards to play, but the required resources to complete and time allotted to do it are skewed to abject failure? THIS HAS NEVER BEEN THE CASE IN THE PAST!! Is it more revenue? Greater screen time? Regardless, it doesn’t matter to me. What does matter is that this is the first time in years I am considering deleting the game. The unbalanced boards in Klondike are fine to ignore because the main story line is still quite extensive. There really isn’t a reason to close those boards. You can ignore them and continue the very robust story of the main game. I realize that Castaways is more of a grey beard as it’s been around longer, but I hate seeing the unrealistic time lines pushed into the game. Example is gator island where you have unbalanced needs to get through each segment and unusually large requirements to remove a single object (50 axe mushrooms). Yo devs! Don’t let a great game go down the drain chasing $2-$3 revenues. You have always been better than that. Many thanks!

Slow in the beginning then just some fun.. You have to work your way through putting in a bit of time in the beginning before the game play picks up. But at some point you can clear an island is less than a day. The only recommendations I would make is provide more complex islands with more levels and to be able to store more than 100 of each tool as you progress higher in the game. Maybe increasing the tool storage amount for each island you completely clear. I would give this at the time the island is cleared so you know if there are still items to find while you know to keep looking. I would also make the main island much bigger at some point in the game as it can fill up quickly. The first thing to improve is the ability to store more tools beyond 100 increasing as you clear each island. But play awhile and the game becomes just a bit of fun to keep up with.

Longest game played. I love these types of games to unwind at the end of day. Most games I get tired of or the puzzles get too hard to solve without hours of frustration. I have played this game longer than any others and really enjoy it. Did I spend real money? Yes, a few times to keep it going, but buying Zombucks on sale is cheaper than a fancy coffee and lasts longer. Give it a try, it is delightful! One issue is that you runout of crystals to build new wells. I am basically stuck & very frustrated. Previous feedback comments - some years old - are about lack of tools. It doesn’t look like you addressed this issue at all even though responses are reassuring. Now I am at a point where I may just abandon the game entirely.

I Quit!. I have been playing this game for months and enjoyed it for the most part. Lately I have been trying to complete the Grotto and today was the last straw. In order to move to the next stage and complete the egg, I needed to make 26 Sleepy Sundews (33 hours) Not a lot you think? Guess what...(and you can’t buy your way out) ...first you have to make 26 eyeball sundews (26 hours) and 26 hypnolilies (26 hours). What..you don’t have eyeball sundews or hypnolillies in stock? Ok, for the eyeball sundews, you need to make 68 eyeball liquors (4.5 hours) and 180 hot sundews (only 90 more hours)! God help you if you don’t have hypnolillies because you will need 78 hypnodreams (117 hours) and hypnopoppies (17 hours)...the list goes on and on....I gave up calculating it all. This time doesn’t even include all of the crops you have to grow. I don’t mind spending a little money to move on (support the developers and all that) but this is crazy! No amount of money gets you past this. The special events aren’t all that great either as far as rewards go anymore. Anyway, I am DONE wasting my time, money, and energy on a game that’s impossible to make progress in and is more like WORK. I already have a full time job and I believe that games are supposed to be fun...but not this game any longer. I’m out....

Entertaining. I really like this game, it’s pretty unique and I find it satisfying and relaxing to clear all the different islands. This is actually my second time around playing this, I lost all my progress the first time because I got a new phone and don’t have Facebook to save 😢 Oh well, I’m still enjoying it! My only complaint is with the special event island’s. I got about halfway through this last one, but the next gate I’m at takes an insane amount of work and resources to open in such a short amount of time. I gave up because it’s just not worth it and I don’t want to waste all my stuff opening the gates. I don’t remember it being that difficult before when I played about a year ago, I used to finish all of the events. One more minor issue is that the music stops working after about level 20, is it just me? It’s totally silent now except for the random crow cawing 😆 Overall, it’s a great game though!

“Long time listener, first time caller...yea hi, can I just say, i. Love. This. Game”. I’ve had this game for as long as I can remember (I’m pretty sure I was playing this in High school and that was nearly 7years ago) and I absolutely love it. I went about 4/5years without shelling out real cash (unless it was a gift card) for coins or swords- I treated myself this year. The islands are fun, the mini island stories are entertaining and the end goal (so far) of becoming a human and finding the lady love is cute. This game will forever be my favorite mobile game and I cannot wait for the expansion of the girl zombie to come through. Listen (ATWWD podcast) let me tell you- when The game kept going after turning human and I was allowed to play as the lady love...I was shocked! That made my night. I was so surprise. I was set on thinking once I found the lady, it was done (maybe a few mini islands here and there) but I was not prepared to go on a journey as the lady! Can not wait till you finish her concept islands so I can play more!! Keep the game up and keep the islands coming because I will play till the day I die!!

It’s a decent time passer. This is a fun game. I like that you can build different things and follow the tasks in any order. It’s a creative concept. However there are some down falls. When things first start out in the game the tutorial isn’t very clear on where many things come from and it’s a lot of figuring out on your own on where items can be gathered from as well as resources. I almost wanted to start the game over because I hadn’t realized that by going to the “new islands” at the bottom like it allowed me to I triggered timed quests that I’ve now missed out on because I didn’t have the tools to do them. The islands at the top you have to unlock. The number of tools it takes to clear an area sometimes can be daunting and it feels like the game is pushing you to spend real money, but if your patient enough you can make it through without having to. I’ve still continued to play the game, I do enjoy it. I do wish there were more ways to earn weapons with out them expiring such as the wells you spend so much time building that them to have them “dry up” so to speak. It’s kind of daunting, but it’s a good mean time game. It’s a gamble to do the special islands at the bottom that take up your resources for so called prizes. For now I’ll stick with it and hope for improvements on guiding you through the game and better responses to the tool needs.

Expect to Pay to Play. I love the concept, but this game is virtually impossible to play on any significant level without paying. I don’t mind investing some money each month to pay for entertainment; however, your money will not go far. As a longtime gamer, I pay about $15 a month for mmo games and hours upon hours of content. As a console gamer, my Playstation Plus gets me hours of content for less than $10 a month plus the occasional game purchase. You will pay more for this game for a fraction of the content. For example, $15 would not keep you busy in this game for more than an hour or so. This is being generous based on spending my own money. Worse, the videos do not work to get free items most of the time. I put in a ticket about this and had multiple conversations about being forced to use my own money to play with a game rep. I was told they were working on getting new ads. They would not give me a deadline or comp any zombie bucks to play in the meantime. This forces the game into pay to play mode. I will likely be taking my business to another game. Successful models exist and there is too much competition in the market with significantly more content for one’s hard earned money.

Favorite of many.... Prioritize the Quest, not the busy work! I’m retired and play games daily. The support team without question are the kindest, most friendly and responsive of any I’ve ever spoken with. They genuinely care about their players concerns and work to address them. As I’ve learned, once Quests are completed, islands do not need to be completely cleared, nor do they to beat timed endings. With this in mind, you’ll find much frustration is of our own doing, attempting to clear areas unnecessarily. If resources are difficult to attain while completing Quests simply contact support, they are happy to help. However, the temporary Wells and resources that are attainable during Quests, I have found will make for adequate, challenging fun. I love this game! Much more credit is owed to these developers and support staff... take a breath and enjoy folks... happy new year!

Excellent Game!. Cute and fun game, with regular releases of limited time islands to play once one has completed the main islands. The Tortuga Pirate Island was also a fabulous addition, since there is always an island to play now. Good tip for new players Re: tools: keep the top island open (the one with the unlimited well) and play all the islands on the lower line of islands first, so you can benefit from that unlimited well for as long as possible. Also, be sure to link game to FB (or at least take a screenshot of your game ID #) to protect your game progress since I had an issue with a game reset after having played for years. Thankfully, customer service was very helpful and did retrieve my game.

can’t play unless you pay. Too difficult to get wells and tools. I have written the devs the past, they said they would work on it but nothing has changed so I peek in occasionally but thats it. There are many games out there that will leave a player more satisfied in what they accomplish without having to dole out money for moves. In answer to the developer response I know all those ways; over and over people have written you and told you its not acceptable the lack of wells and tools. It doesn’t give us enough. You all dont do anything about it. We need more crystals; you dont do anything about it. I deleted the game because the enjoyment of it is killed by the monetization of moving forward. I love this type of game and found another that actually helps one move forward and have a great time in every contest. Wish that I could tell you the name but I am ethical. Wish this game thought more about the players enjoyment rather than wrenching every bit of cash they can from players. I will delete the game again and go back to the game where players are respected and their fun is of outmost importance. As you see from the old developers response below they really are not prepared to hear us and fix the problems, many many people say the same thing as I, the developers do not deem it fixable. We are smart enough to have done all we could in making wells, ect.

Pros and Cons. I love playing this game as it’s one of those “typical” farming games where you upgrade things and unlock new areas over time. However, I find the 100 tool limit very obnoxious and wish that the game allows you to hold more that 100 tools of each kind. This game is also very slow pace which some people tend to enjoy while others wish it moves a little faster. I am one of those people who personally wish the game will move a little quicker as you have to wait to gather more tools that barley put a dent into destroying certain items like giant trees and rocks. Unless you want to pay real money, unlike myself, this game moves very slowly and takes lots of patients to play. In the end, I really enjoy the animations and graphics of this game and how it’s set up. I definitely recommend trying out this fun filled game!

It’s ok. I want to give this game more stars, I enjoy the concept. But the game is way too restrictive, or I just haven’t figured out the secret without spending my own money. I never have enough tools to clear out areas, I hardly get zombie bucks to buy the bigger things like the zombie bombs to clear out bigger parts of my island, so I can’t complete a lot of tasks, oh and needing a brain all of the time or I can’t use my workers. So the game becomes more frustrating than fun, because I have to wait around for enough tools to generate just to clear out more of my island, and then the special islands disappear before I can do a lot on them. So as much as I want to give the game more start currently I can’t. Oh, and the pop-ups being in the way on the screen for something to be built, or the certain plant being difficult to clear because you can’t select that specific plant because all of the other ones have pop ups getting in the way.

Was fun at first. Well, in reading new reviews, it looks like the game has the same issues it did 11 months ago back in January when I stopped playing. My review is below: When I first started playing this I really enjoyed it. But the thing is, it's a huge money & time sink. Your tools become more and more scarce the longer you play and the more you advance, making tasks harder to complete. To build a well (because they break down after X uses) you need Quartz that becomes impossible to find, so you never have enough wells for tools -- I am down to one, as I have no Quartz. And even if you buy tools with real money, you don't get enough to make the real money expense worth it when one tree can take 65 or more axes and some rocks take over 100 pick axes. The wells don't give you a fair amount of tools either. It's far too costly to buy the zombucks every time a well gives me 3 stars instead of tools to cut down plants, stones, & trees. The farming gets really tedious, too. The game "play" ends up being a lot of waiting. The holiday events aren't really fun either because there's just too much to clear in a limited amount of time. Lately, on top of these other issues, when I try to watch an ad for a zombie brain, it just doesn't play and the "ready" sign vanishes. Cute concept, poor execution. I'm uninstalling.

Latest update has ruined this game. As others have noted, the developers have made this game basically non-functional. In order to proceed through game actions, your zombies need tools. These come from wishing wells, which you can build. Unfortunately the developers have severely restricted the resources (quartz) to build them, and in the most recent update also decreased the longevity of each wishing well, basically meaning about 30 seconds of game play before running out of tools. As someone who has paid for the zombie bucks to get the buffs such as the airplane (which was totally worth it at the time), I now feel all that expense was a total waste as the developers have completely ruined the game. Sad- it was fun up until they trashed it :( UPDATE: 27 Sep 2017- I received a nice email from the developers, for which I give them high marks for trying. Unfortunately they don't seem to understand how severely they have restrained the resources, but simply advised doing the steps that can gather those scarce resources (and one I didn't know about- playing mini games on Facebook). Using all but the Facebook option, I have gathered 12 quartz in the past 10 days, logging in a couple times a day. You need 15 quartz to buy a well. I regret my investment in this game and will spend my remaining 400 zombie bucks and delete :(

Great game for a very small amount of money spent. I’ve been playing this game since it first came out years ago. I’ve liked it so much that whenever I get a new phone or pad I start all over from the beginning. I even created a Facebook help group for this game before the developers decided to start showing where items were to be found on the islands. Tortuga was frustrating to me at first, but I understand it more now. I like how fast the wells give tools and the increased number of tools. I dislike how the flowers etc don’t give the usual items (lilies/horseshoes) and I dislike limiting what items you can bring back with you. Part of the fun for me is gathering stuff and hoarding it. For the people complaining about not enough quartz to build wells: build towers. I have 10 towers. When they give quartz, they give a lot. Also, it’s worth the small investment to have brainy treasure hunters. I have 12. You can trade the sign collections for quartz. Put out lilies and stuff for them to dig under. I love this game. For a very small investment, I’ve had years of fun playing.

Love this little game. Fell in love with this game. Hate that you have to be so careful when swiping if you come anywhere near zombie buck it will use them and there's no way to undo it, they're just gone... spent on something stupid. I've reset the game three times and try to be very careful. The problem is the screen arrow button to swipe between screens is right next to the zombie buck button and I can't keep from spending zombie bucks by accident when swiping from page to page. I call it fat fingers. Very annoying if I stop playing this game that would be the reason because the game is a lot of fun, if you can just get past how easy it is to spend the zombie buck. Up-date. Still playing... still fun... if you can get past the spending the zombie bucks by accident. It's been over a year now and I'm still loving it... take it everywhere with me and play.

Fun Game. I really enjoy playing. I do wish that the special featured islands stayed open longer. I also wish that when you bought the wells you got to keep them. I also agree with other users I love this game but due to the fact I can’t complete the tasks on Toy Island because of the doll and teddy bear fiasco. Really so I need the doll but to make the doll I need the teddy bear and vise versa. So they basically cancel each other out. I need wells to progress but to build the well I need quartz what Chen is getting extremely difficult to find. Very frustrating. Little by little I’m getting less tools from my remaining well. Very discouraging and becoming less fun. I hardly play anymore.

Two fatal flaws. I'd give one star but I have to recognise entertaining game, when one can actually play it. The tool problem is well documented. I can't imagine playing after I lose that 2nd island that gives me 2 permanent Wells. For now mainly doing the limited time 'event' islands. The other flaw is lack of confirmation on spending zombie bucks. I usually will not pay for such a game out of principle. I did spend$5 which made a huge difference in playability. But still spend most my time switching island to collect a few tools. I could have more cool things but I lose so many bucks to accidental spending. I will not spend anymore money on this game Update:. Don't know why Dev said to contact them. Did not result in anything. I did volcano island and spend TONS of resource with not too much rewards too show for it. I see there's another update probably another limited time island. I don't think I'll do this one Update: I did Valentine island and it was good work good ROI. Increasing to 3 stars. However I don't know I can do the extra island once I leave mad island as I will loose most my free tools

Great game sorry they are doing away with it. I have played this game for five years, it was slow to start and clear etc. but fell in love with it, the storylines are great . Three of my grand children have played along side me on my lap, learning to count, add, and improve their reading. I have absolutely loved this game and would recommend it, however, over a year ago vizor made the announcement that they will no longer be offering updates, or further island quests, that they will be phasing out the game, so zombie castaways will be ending. Vizor had said that they were going work on and announce the new game that would be even better, but since that almost form like announcement they have said absolutely nothing of any new game. So since they have announced that they will offer no updates or further any of the storylines, that the game is being phased out, I cannot recommend this game.

Like the game, hate the way it’s ran. I love this game, I love games like this where I can build stuff and explore new places. I have several issues with this game though,..as others have said it is beyond frustrating to have to jump through so many hoops to get tools, it takes so many materials and the quarts are hard to get, not to mention it feels like once u add a well one runs out immediately in order for you to not have so many tools, then u have to wait so long to accumulate enough tools to do anything on the islands. The game is pretty much designed to force you to buy zombie bucks and I’m sorry but I’m not spending money on a game, especially when the zombies only go so far. The other thing that really makes me mad is that you can’t get any more then 100 tools in each category, even if the well spits out enough to get u over 100 it will only let u have 100 tools which is ridiculous. I should be able to have as many tools as I collect. The game seems designed to keep u from being able to play it without buying stuff. I won’t buy zombucks, so the game is going very slow for me. If these things were fixed I would give it more stars, but I doubt that happens. Another thing is that they give you those bonus islands at the same time and give u time limits so it’s almost impossible to finish the islands before time runs out if you aren’t willing to use your actual money to buy zombie money to get those blades that cut down anything.

Great game, but too hard + expensive. Wonderfully perfect game except one major flaw. The game is made too difficult to acquire tools. It is so slow in progressing that one is almost forced to buy zbucks & coins, which are expensive enough to add up very quickly. It is a fun game for sure, but I wish it was a “pay once and play” game. I wouldn’t mind paying a higher price once and be able to have it work smoothly & timely. To truly enjoy the game, it must flow smoothly, which it does until you very quickly run out of tools. As it is structured now, I get to play a wee bit, which uses up all tools, then I have go play other games while waiting for the wishing wells to reload & give more tools. It gets so frustrating that you end up paying for them. Guys, please fix it and make your fans happier. It’s a wonderful game, but to play smoothly, it’s too cost prohibitive.

Used to be good but support has gone downhill. I used to really like this game but things have changed. You used to be able to advance through the game without spending too much money. They recently added new elements that require using more resources. Customer support used to be great too, but it has now gone downhill. They used to actually listen to your inquiries, but now they give you canned patronizing responses. They have a “live chat” help service but the average response time is over ten hours. They recently spent over three weeks arguing with me that their game didn’t make the error I claimed it did, but they couldn’t back it up. I showed them many screenshots to support my claim. They countered with doctored screenshots that weren’t very convincing. They also contradicted themselves with some of their statements. This game can still be fun without costing much, but don’t expect too much in the way of support.

Enjoyable.... Fun & enjoyable game but could do with some minor tweaks. As others have commented it would be good if it was possible to carry more equipment or be able to use your wood &. Stone cutters on other islands. Once you have cleared the first two islands, they are never used again. If you are patient it doesn’t cost too much

Review. It’s a great game but unless you spend money it takes ages to achieve anything, with a limit of 100 tools for each option why make some obstacles 95 or 85 etc to knock down? Takes so long for wells to relinquish yet takes seconds to use the tools then another long long wait until you can do anything even if the cost 25 tools etc, quartz is hard to get so quite disappointing

Great game. I love this game it just keeps getting better and hooks you in but when you have run out of things to cut down unless you have lots of money to spend on in app purchase you can close it down and come back later. I would to be able to use the money i build up in the game exchange it for zombie bucks as not everyone can afford to spend lots of money to buy them.

Spending helps. I am enjoying this game but tools are very slow to come by and you get to a point where you really need to spend or get frustrated. I find it annoying that you have to say goodbye to one island to advance to the next, it would be better if you could keep all islands open except the ones that state a time limit

I keep coming back for more. This game has a real addictive quality to it especially seeing as you are able to dig your way through multiple islands and build your own lands. Its hard at the start to aquire specific parts to progress buildings and make enough money, but it doesn’t take all that long. Tools don’t come all that quickly so it can become frustrating sometimes, however if there are other games you play and this is in the rotation then it works out really well. The only negative is when new islands open up some specific quests can become tricky to finish them in time. Otherwise i love the game and find it entertaining and enjoyable. Practically runs bug free

I don’t write reviews for games often but this game is great, probably still one of the best games on the App Store and I have not found an issue or a bug since I started playing a few months ago. Considering how long the game has been on the App Store I think it’s amazing that it’s still being maintained by developers. I don’t think this game should be removed from the store for a good while yet. Keep doing what you’re doing VIZOR APPS.

Pretty awesome overall. Few glitches, always short on tools, but plenty of fun & fantastic graphics!! Level 37 & no plans to stop anytime soon 🤗🤗 May need to upgrade my iPad since my current one keeps running out of memory and crashing/freezing at least once to several times a day which can be super frustrating!! Only allows me to send crash reports maybe 5% of the time...

Good if you’ve got time and patience. Completing missions can take time if you aren’t prepared to pay for quick skips. I have 3 kids and not much time to just sit and play games so I enjoy this because I can play in short bursts and still achieve things. A little repetitive but I’m easily amused and it’s a good time filler.

Good Game. Pretty fun :) Always find myself coming back to it. I just wish the wells would give slightly more resources each time. It takes so many time of going back in & out of the game just to fill all tool metres up again. I work full time & look after my daughter by myself so I don't get much time for games to begin with 😂 Great game though keep it up!

My favourite game ❤️❤️❤️. I’m in LVL 20, and I’m up to building the last stage of the Business Center, first stage of the University and the first stage of the Library. Seriously, Santa’s presents are actually random. I actually say that I am mining Black Marble in Big Land. I’m also trying to unlock the territory expansion, ‘Mountain Top’.

Bad Communication. When send messages for help. You receive a generic email regarding they'll get back to you well it's been four days now and no answer 😡😡😡😡😡😡 Also needs to understand that not all people who play are tech savvy. Yes me of the tech support people also quite abrupt when trying to explain. Accused me of trying to play two separate accounts on the one device. I can assure you I would have no idea how to do that. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 GAME DELETED!!!

Great to start then glitchy. It worked great the first few days and then the number of brains dropped dramatically and when I watch videos for brains they seldom actually give me a brain. It seems to get more glitchy each day, randomly ending the app and I lose my progress 😕 I wish it would work properly as it's a great game when it works 👍

Ehh. I loved it at first. Highly addictive. I was out sick from work so I was sitting basically watching my wells to get more tools to clear the ways, but when it was back to reality and I had to be away from my screen. I noticed that nothing really banks up while your gone or it only got to 3 then that’s it. I’d be away for hours on end to come back to just 5 tools. Or send my zombies to cut down a tree on the big island to only have 3 logs and needing to check back in every 5-10minutes to clear the camps to make more room. That wasn’t ideal at all. I’m pretty chill when it comes to spending some money on apps to give me that leg up through the game but I didn’t feel like I wanted to because of how lacking the resources actually are.

Great Game.....Too Expensive. I love this game it’s fun and looks great. That’s where the good part ends, it’s too hard to play without spending heaps of money. Now I don’t mind spending money on games however not massive amounts. It’s difficult to get tools without spending a large amount, more than other games on the market, this makes it impossible to achieve anything in the game. Sorry but I will be looking for another game to play, although I love the concept of this game it’s too difficult to achieve anything in it. Developers please make it playable by people who can’t afford to spend thousands. We are in the majority.

Downward Spiral. They say if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. And this game is. You'll love it for the first few levels then want to poke your eye out with a fork as you realise everything from building new wells to the special Island levels are designed to have you part with a good part of your pay cheque. Zombie bucks are really expensive compared to other games, as is everything you can buy with them. I love the visuals of this game so was happy to plod along until my first experience with customer service... What I thought was a glitch in their system turned out to be... You guessed it... A misleading game instruction that would end up with parting with my whole pay cheque. It's the misleading part that gets me.

Takes too long to do anything. Love the graphics, but is it takes forever to get anywhere. I am literally stuck on Level 27. No quartz to build wells that provide you with tools, so the three wells I have in total keeps me playing for about two minutes. Then you go to chop down a tree and it requires sometimes up to 135 axes. That will take me a year at this rate. On the verge of deleting it as I just can’t do a thing anymore

Great game. This game is great, I did buy a small bundle as I was enjoying the game. However to continue I am going to have to buy more, I will just grind it out if I don’t lose interest. And considering I am down to only one quest, that is to build a building that needs a lot of styrofoam and very little water dropping, I can see myself finding another game to keep me entertained. Never enough tools dropping, either to help with searching.

Good clean Zombie Fun. This is a great time killer....it can be a little slow to begin with... but if you save your Z dollars and get the gang who do the planting and harvesting for you... it’s easy to whet enough gold together to buy wishing wells... that’s what you need the most! The tools to harvest the islands of everything of worth! Save crystals ..you NEED these for the wishing wells... the more wells the more tools you can generate... That’s the Key to this game!

Early days yet. Been playing for a while. Quite like it. Need wells and of course getting nearly impossible to build a well coz can't get items to build!! Without paying real money of course. When that starts to be the only way to progress it's time to stop playing. So I better find some quartz easily soon coz you can't dig quartz without picks that you get from wells.

Zombie islands. It is a fun quick game to fill in time ;though the downer is when your already max at tools in the bar and you get more tools added you don’t get those extra tools on top of max out tool amount so you lose those extra tools .

Love, but.... Love this game but it takes so long to do challenges because you don’t get enough tools. That’s literally it’s only downfall. This is my second time downloading this game probably about a year apart. I was a little disappointed that the tools hadn’t been updated. For the little amount you get it’s near impossible to finish tasks in the required time unless your going to sit and play 24hrs. I don’t have that time. So maybe give more tools so you can play longer than literally three minutes? It would be amazing to play longer.

Enjoyable. I am a newbie to the game but it’s been a great game so far. Haven’t had any problems. Wish I concentrated on clearing ice island straight off but I divided my tools on three islands so didn’t get the chance. It appeared too soon and I didn’t realise how many tools it would need to clear it especially as it’s timed. Hope I get another chance. Did better with the pirate island as I learnt my lesson.

Zombie Castaways. Love this game but terribly disappointed at the moment as there is a problem collecting chests, there’s only 1 or 2 ads to collect them or if you do get an ad to watch at the end it goes to a blank screen and you need to restart the game again. A problem that desperately needs to be fixed.

Very fun game, but takes a little too long to do anything. The game is very fun and addictive, but I find that it takes too long to do anything. I’m at the stage of having to cut down all the trees and break up all the rocks at big island with my stone miners and wood cutters. I would love it if the time to destroy trees or rocks would be shortened by at least 5 - 10%. It would also be nice if when a zombie (for example, a stone miner) is mining a rock, there would be a timer to show how long the rock will take to mine away. I love the game and I hope any developers will see this.

It’s addictive but very frustrating!!. I’ve got to admit it’s a very addictive and good game but by the time you get to level 40 it’s the waiting to actually be able to complete set goals but in the end you can’t because it’s blocked off until you get to cutting down nearby rocks, trees etc then you can get the actual targeted item that your after.. so annoying that you guys block off every section I’m certainly going to be deleting the game soon not to mention it’s been freezing non stop at level 40 arghhhh TOTALLY ANNOYING

Great fun!. I have a blast playing it. I mainly play online during my breaks at work, it’s great for relieving stress, or just for a bit of fun. If you go in to the app, harvest and sow, and gather resources, when you jump in later, you’re all set to go, and it’s just great.

Not without hiccups. A fun game overall however when I play ads to receive woodchopping/stone mining/water well perks, I don't get anything at the end of the ad. PLEASE FIX THIS! It's not fair to sit through ads and not be compensated for it. Moreover, ever since the update, whenever I chop trees or mine stone and don't have enough of a certain tool to remove the obstacle, there's a pop up wanting me to spend zombie money on super-swords EVERY SINGLE TIME! PLEASE REMOVE THIS POP UP. It's incredibly tiresome.

Zombie castaways. Addictive but can be slow going at times waiting for things to cook/be made/tasks to end. Good range of adventures which are updated regularly. Really need to address some supplies. Should be able to make gears, time and quartz they are too hard to source otherwise and the game is held up, for days sometimes. Also fairness, some tasks need very large amounts of a certain material which nearly always involves a hard to source thing (time, quartz) such as batteries. Reached the end of the long term adventures and am waiting to d see if more are going to be added, pretty disappointing if there aren’t any. The short tasks are ok but the longer ones are more of a challenge. Not a fan of the new Tortuga island.

Not enough tools. I enjoy playing this game however I have noticed that whenever you need specific tools they are the ones that you do not get from Wells. It is also too hard to get enough blue quartz to build wells. I would also like to get items of clothing without spending my hard earned zombucks. Maybe in treasure chests or something. It is also extremely annoying that the wells do not give you the tools that you need. There also needs to be a way to earn more gears. Maybe they should drop from fortune chests with more frequency. All I seem to get is metal and water.

😒. Good game, but it does get boring after a while when trying to collect certain items and you can only get when getting the chest in the vaults, for the love set to get vases so to play mad island it takes months to collect its Very annoying I’ve been on mad island for over a month and have only gotten 5 vases so far and you need heaps, I have played before and finally got to toy island but got so bored trying to collect items to move forward that I ended up deleting and download again because it was nearly impossible to get through so started again only to remember how long and annoying mad island was, please make it better to get vases for mad island

Thanks for the game. Nice lovely game but what i dont like in that game is that the tools box get finished so quick you will always have to then build new one then after 100 times use it will again be gone. Also the brains they dont stay they always get 0 and you have to wait for too long for the videos adverts to watch and get more brains. Other than that the game is amazing.

😔. Don’t get me wrong it’s good game but without ads it’s hard to get by did contact them it seems it’ll be down for a while and if that’s the case why don’t they just add in the extra perks brain etc until the ads are back on so it doesn’t affect the game play 🤷‍♀️

Decent. Good time waster yet can be a very slow grind as there is some missions that require items that can take days - weeks to achieve. This can feel tedious and and easy to loose interest and I have come close to abandoning the game many times. Once past those points the game picks up and is enjoyable again. However there needs to be a couple more permanent wells available, whether if it is free reward through completing tasks or through cash. Really just any way to obtain would be nice. I am currently lvl 36 and on the the 4th islands in.

Great game .....until. This is a great fun game until 40 seconds into the game you’re out of tools and then can’t do anything until the free well stocks up again only to go back and not get the tool you’re after. I’ve taken the time to build other wells only to realise they only work for so long then ...gone. Unless you are willing to spend ‘ real’ money you can’t get anywhere- or you are left waiting forever to finish even one island. Forget about the time limit islands and quests got no chance even thinking about finishing them. Great cute game just frustrating...... and eventually I gave up and deleted. I even played for a very long time and spent money on the Facebook version. Same thing. Gave up........

Fun little game!. I’ve been addicted to this great little time waster for quite some time. If you’ve got the patience (and I do...) you don’t need to spend any actual human dollars. I’ve enjoyed building up my stores over time, and meeting all challenges in the new islands. I am excited for new updates, which are pleasantly regular. I totally recommend this game.

Great graphics but... It’s colourful, clever and almost good. I’ve only been playing it for a few days and was reasonably happy with it until problems! Not sure whether it was caused by the latest update or not but lots of problems with getting brains, either no offerings available or you watch a video and still don’t get the brain afterwards. And then there are the wells! Pick axes are pretty critical but one day I only managed to get four pickaxes after several visits to three wells. So I’ve deleted it!

Great game but.... I like the game and am definitely addicted but tools are always so hard to get and at times you end up getting stars instead of the tools you’d be desperately waiting for. That would be the only reason I will eventually lose patience and delete the game

Zombie Castaways. I've been playing this game for over a year now.. And I loved it.. But I haven't for past couple of months as the wait is just to long for tools and also for blue granite to build wells.. So I only have one well which slows it right down.. Without spending my own cash to buy.. I have already spent heaps on it already.. That's the only flaw in this game. Graphics are fun and interesting. The islands are excellent but again tools take way to long.

Love it. Love this game. You need to take it slow in the beginning. Join online groups for hints it can make a difference as to where you spend your bucks. No need to spend real money if your happy to wait. Can be frustrating at beginning but just build up stores. Leave temp islands till you have enough resources. The developers are quick to respond to problems and very helpful. Still a very active game with new islands added regularly.

Needs tweaking. I enjoy playing the game, but like a lot of others I believe that it should be easier to get rss to builds the wells. In particular quartz. The wells dry up too quickly and it takes forever to progress through the game, therefore leaving me bored and playing something different

Zombie Castaways. Enjoy playing this game but find the gathering of axes and pick is a bit slow. Usually far more knives are given and it gets to the point where you have nothing to use knives on but still heaps of trees,rocks,ice,etc to remove. Zombie brains can also be an issue and could become costly if you aren’t careful. Still enjoy playing though.

Fun game.... This is a fun game, will only cost money if you don’t have patience! Has taken a good while for me to get to level 50... I would like to see some more incentives to keep high level players interested. Like new buildings in the store, being able to use our zombie miners, woodcutters and treasure hunters on the other islands. An option to purchase or complete quests for more permanent wells would be great... more people would play this if they were not having to wait so long to gather tools. I enjoy the game and will keep playing if some more goals, active quests and new buildings/crops/decos are added! Thanks :-)

Graphics awesome. Graphics awesome, enjoying game thus far, little bit annoyed with the game constantly wanting you to spend $$$$$ to buy zombucks, which wouldn't bother with anyway, just wish you turn it off, as gets tiresome to keep rejecting the same old same old, but apart from that am pleased with the game.

Great game!. Such a good game, and I have a lot of fun playing it as it’s my sort of thing. Unfortunately it’s a bit complicated due to the fact that it’s hard to get tools without purchasing them to make up for it. We need permanent water wells that give more tools frequently or some other way of getting tools fast. As it makes it hard to complete time based quests/islands. Other than that, a really great game and enjoyable.

Designed to make you spend. I’m not denying it’s a good game to play, but it’s definitely designed for you to spend money. You get to a point in the game where you’ve run out of tools and your choices are to either restart or pay. I think I’ll eventually delete this game, simply because around level 15, it’s almost impossible to progress, no matter how many of the advertising videos you watch. I’ve restarted four times to see if I can find a more efficient way of using resources. To date no luck, hopefully one day you’ll be able to play a game without constantly having to dip into your pocket. I’m happy to pay upfront for a game as long as I can be rest assured I never have to pay again. Sadly not the case here.

Disappointing. Need heaps of resources to progress which are really hard to get. I had taken ages to build up my resources and then they disappeared when I upgraded the game. I contacted Support for help and they originally said they would restore all my missing items with a bonus but then they did NOTHING!!! Very disappointing. Whatever you do don't spend real money on this game!! After the company posted their response I sent them an email and their response was basically to tell me to get lost - so don't be fooled by them posting responses - they still do nothing - it is all just for show to try to make them look good!

Addictive!!. Fantastic, cute little game!! Not sure why there are negative comments about tools/water wells. They don’t cost actual money to buy more and are quite affordable. There’s so much to do and tasks to complete, I can see that I will be playing this game for a long time!!

Slow progress without spending. Frustrating tool supply to complete missions without spending, islands like toy island are frustrating as they require resources in large numbers that you can’t easily get. Could be improved significantly with greater rewards, longer well life, and more tools given each time. Frustrating that you can’t easily get items like time or oil when your fortune chests consistently deliver items you already have numbers of. Do developers realize that you open game and can exhaust tools in 3 clicks.... then what? It doesn’t inspire continuous play. Would be worth having something you could be doing to earn the item you want and to keep you playing. Would be good if you could sell single set items in large supply, or sell items you gather from islands. Other things like customizing your zombie etc that don't actually advance your play should be free, no zombie bucks.

Great game if you have lots of time!. Honestly could spend forever on this game! If you’re looking for a game that you can just log in for a set time a day then this might not be it but if you have time you can progress really easily! I purchased a small pack when I started and I definitely don’t need to spend again so it was a great investment. I love that you can do well in this game without spending money and just spending time. The community on the facebook page is great, they provide lots of updates and even mini games where you can win prizes. Support has been really helpful when I’ve had to contact them for a glitch. Can’t rate this game enough ☺️☺️

Fun but frustrating.... It looks like a theme that I am going to echo. Super fun & addictive game but the tool generation mechanics are awful. The wells are expensive & u soon run out of the resources required to make them - forcing you to either buy tools or rely on the single well given. I am happy to watch adds to obtain workers & buffs but I am not going to be purchasing tools simply because the game ‘requires’ it for successful progression. I feel that you should be able to take wells from Islands you clear & keep them at least. OR build permanent wells - even making them a little more expensive (in-game resource wise) for the privilege. I will keep playing it a little longer but I see myself uninstalling this game & moving on pretty soon if the well mechanic is not addressed.

Gotta be on it often too. Kind of a money grab game. But so fun and addictive regardless. I've managed to not spend any real money but I wish it was harder to use the zombie bucks. Like if they asked the question are you sure you want to spend it? I accidentally spent quite a few I built up because I was clicking too fast.

Can’t get ad to load to double daily reward. Fun game, as long as you don’t expect to finish the side quests. (See update re ad errors) Have been playing for over a year and recently the ad request just spins, doesn’t even return error message that an ad is not available. Have to cancel ad request and just accept the single rewards. Otherwise similar to relaxing farming games with a few twists and cute characters. UPDATE: the developers are great and advised of the system issues related to ad performance. Remains a 4 star review only due to the inability to complete side quests in the timeframe. Love the game otherwise and side quests are entertaining for as long as they are available to play.

Love this game!!. Finally a great game that doesn’t have some kind of “candy crush” or “match 3” component to it. This is definitely my kind of game. Would love to find others like it!!

Tools. I enjoy playing this game but I’m at a point where I barely have the patience to wait for tools to respawn from wells. I would like to suggest a way to have a merchant of some kind to be able to buy ressources or TOOLS more importantly with coins and not bills. That would be really nice 😉 Thank you in advance

Very fun. I have played this game for a few years. I really like my Zombie, the graphics, stories and other characters. The only issue I have with this game is not being able to take the wells and buildings that I build on temp islands. I would like to keep them to continue to use them. It is frustrating that it is difficult to build wells on Love island. I would also like to have the option to take some of the novelty items from temp islands. There are some really adorable designs. To be able to either sell some inventory or trade for items would be helpful. I have a lot of crap that I bought and do not want. Even if a trader/buyer showed up every few months. Scrolling through inventory which cannot even be deleted is tiresome. ** Totally not a let down. I love this game.

Reoccurring bugs and poor tome management skills. Used to love this game. A bug introduced in Feb 2021 is back, and I have been unable to load the game since Friday. The developers said there would be a fix after the weekend, now it’s likely after the weekend. The answer I was given on Facebook on Saturday was to contact them directly and they would manually fix it. Seems to me their time would have been better spent making a fix for all iOS users, not each one who contacted them separately. Just a thought.

No longer supported. Company has announced they are no longer updating this game and it will eventually be abandoned. Do NOT spend any money on this game. Waste of time and $. Parts of the game no longer function, making progress much more difficult. Update: still not working. Watching ads are how you get important tools without spending actual money. They say they decided to upgrade that part of the game but I don’t believe them. They had already announced they were not enhancing the game anymore. They were just going to maintain it. Well it has been less than 2 months and it is not working correctly anymore.

This game is near perfection 👍. This game is so good even thou it’s different from the pc version that got cancelled, I used to play it a lot and still , just hoping they add more to the pirate arc or start a new one , the stories are simple yet so entertaining !

Love to play, Ads are glitchy. I play this game everyday, it’s not perfect but close. A lot of fun and challenging. I’m willing to watch the ads but they are often glitchy and freeze up causing me to have to reboot. In particular it’s the interactive ads. New version has a lot more treasure chests to open that ask you to watch the ad, annoying.

Tooo loooong. I love the game but I’m a the point of giving up.its way too long to have resources please do something about it after all the messages you read it’s the same for everybody so you should get the message by now..unless you just don’t care.....

Great game.. Cute stories. Fast response from tech people when something does go wrong. Been playing this game for years and so far only complaint is sometimes a bit of a wait for new quests, but there is always the pirate game to hold you over. ( bit of a patience problem on my part lol)

Great game except the timers. I really enjoy the game. Enough complex elements to make it fun. My only complaint is over the timed quests. I don’t like only having 12 days to finish everything on the island. It feels stressful not a break from stress. Also on a couple that had timed tasks on the island they automatically go to the next timed task. So I started a task and then fell asleep when I woke up the game and gone through 4 tasks that I didn’t complete and get rewards from. That’s kind of poor designing, in my opinion. So other than the timer the rest of the game is well done and lots of fun.

Too Many Tasks. Fun and challenging but way too many things to build, grow, cook, find, and make to keep track of and to complete tasks. Takes too long to move forward without buying Zombucks.

Too hard to get needed items. I deleted it, like the concept but if you make an error and use your swords and machetes up early you are out of luck. Little to no guidance as to a strategy how to proceed. After playing for a few days i give up is a waste of my time i cannot find resources or enough tools to proceed.

Don’t spend money on this game!. You can spend all your resources trying to find a 3rd lever on tartuaga islands that simply is not there. I’ve wasted 1000s of tools, 100s of zombucks, cleared all the fog off multiple islands and left nowhere it could possibly hide numerous times. I don’t mind a challenge but I HATE being cheated. Aside from that, spending actual money on this game often doesn’t work- they take your money and give you nothing in return by saying the transaction didn’t go through. I don’t expect a free game but I’m done spending money on this game. You will not get another actual $ or any ad revenue from me.

I forgot to sign in on Facebook and my game now crashes on the original device and when I go on Game Center on my new device I can find my game but when I load it it starts me at the beginning. Love the Zombies. This is one of my two favourite games. Love the Zombies. The game keeps me interested but is relaxing at the same time. Love the graphics and adventures. I love that I can earn Zombie dollars. My only issue…The experience bar is possessed. Sometimes registers experience and sometimes just sits there. Not sure that matters much but it would be nice to see that bar move now and then.

Soo...... So it’s fun. It can get frustrating at times to. Sadly I’ve been facing something..... Really frustrating. Right now they has this Santa event thing going on and I lit the lantern that unlocks the second of four parts of the map. Sadly though. I can’t get the dog to clear past the snow covered wall to get to the other side because apparently the hole in the wall is ‘blocked’ by something that won’t clear away the fog to make it to the other side.... And the events quests are time limited and I have 4 hours to figure out what to do even though I’ve cleared EVERYTHING I can... Guess I’ll ignore the current event and miss out on all the benefits.... If this happens with the next one then I guess they are actually thinking this through and I will just get rid of the app to just relieve myself of getting frustrated so much.

Fun Time Killer. It’s a time killing game. You discover, build collect and they have plenty of special islands to play when you’re stuck waiting for materials for other quests. You need to be careful when collecting your tools from the wells, once you get 100 you can’t collect more. Always have your cooks making boneberry if you aren’t cooking other recipes for quests bc you need boneberry for more Wells. The support team is pretty awesome I must say. They respond within a day are are always nice and that’s saying something bc I did get testy with them. If you don’t have patience to wait on collecting materials for building then this won’t be a game for you.

Fun but crashes too often. This game is fun but the crashing is way too frequent. I find that I lose items that I have been “cooking” for some time and tools disappear. Glue is also required WAY too frequently for how long it takes to cook. I need it for multiple islands, an event and pirate islands so it’s crazy that one of the ingredients is an hour! Just fix glue and paint! Edit: developer responded to use the Help function for support which I did in the past. By the time they responded I’d already cooked new items and completed the task so they did nothing. They should have compensated my account with time jump stars or something

Good game. Love the story line and the mystery however; I wish it would continue. I also think that the levels (islands) should be accessible after reaching the conclusion of the game so you can clear the rest of the island for materials. I am waiting entirely to long for a new level to appear. Im beginning to lose interest but I would love to play more often. I’m waiting for the story line to continue. I have more then enough of everything to complete levels. The wells don’t give much but that’s kind of the point. I would like to have an island that continues to grow after you’ve cleared it. There needs to be more. Waiting anywhere from 14 to 20 days for a new island is not my cup of tea.

Forces you to use Facebook. I get an error every single time I log into the game to log into my FB account in order to save data. I deleted Facebook and deactivated my account, as I choose not to take part in their data privacy abuses. I tried creating a fake FB account for this stupid game only; however, the game has “saved” my old account and will only let me log into that one, even though it doesn’t exist anymore. I have submitted numerous messages in-game for help and nothing helps. Games should STOP using Facebook to save progress. I only play on one device and I don’t need it to save anywhere else and if it did, why not use Game Center? I have played this game for a long time, but since no one can be bothered to help me and since they want to force users to have a crappy Facebook account, I am done.

Amazingly addictive. This game is beyond addictive. Honestly, my only complaint is waiting for a new island which really isn’t a fair complaint as they bring new ones out often! They show huge respect for the players with incredibly fast response time to player concerns and silly questions about not being able to find something on the like page. Speaking of the like page, they not only allow visitor posts, they seem to encourage it and reply to players who post and/or comment. Thank you Zombie Castaways for making such an amazing game with incredible customer service! ❤️❤️

Fun but frustrating. I’ve been playing this game intermittently for years because I get interested because it is fun, but then get frustrated because it’s a money sponge. Don’t expect to get resources easily! The whole process of the game revolves around acquiring quartz crystals. Without them you cannot build wells to gain tools. Without tools you can’t get anywhere on the new islands. You can build other structures that claim to give quartz as one of the valuable resources to acquire but you will never win quartz. You will gain an abundance of other not so valuable stones, but never quartz thus continues the cycle of frustration and money spending 😩! If you are cool with dumping cash into apps then this ones for you!

Stupid!. I got the game today and already had to spend money on it! Reading reviews the developer replied to, they stated they were going to work on giving us tools to actually do the jobs needed to play the game. Apparently they didn’t. I haven’t even gotten 24 hours with the game and I’m sick of it. There are MANY games that are essentially the same but with developers that actually have brains and want people to keep playing and enjoy the game. Wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t a stupid problem like needing more chances to earn crystals. This is for basic game function and play. They said two years ago in response to someone they would look into making tools more available, they must have lied because it’s outright ridiculous. I’d give negative stars and take some away if I could.

More Quartz Please. I’ve been playing this game for a long time and I love it. I do agree with everyone else about the wishing wells though. They deplete to fast and need so much quartz which is hard to come by. When you do collect the tools if you have 100 the rest are stars, you should be about to have more than 100 of each tool at one time. I think the wells should become permanent. I know they won’t but they should. Like after you’ve purchased a certain number and not a ridiculous number it should become permanent. Also when you make a new island put more quartz on it. I usually clear the whole island in the hopes of finding some quartz.

Love the game. I really love playing this game. I don’t have problems with tools because I keep 12 wells to collect from. I get all the resources I need from trading sign sets and such. I have 6 treasure hunters and 6 fishermen who are keeping me well stocked. I can agree with the idea that brainy cooks should keep cooking the same item until you stop them but I really wish I could use my brainy woodcutters and miners on other islands. Since I cleared the first two islands, they have had nothing to do and complain of boredom. Once again, I love the game, keep up the great work.

Very fun though sometimes strangely built. I really like these kind of games and overall enjoy playing this one. Besides the typical issue of the tools mentioned in previous comments, I find that some things dont really make sense. Like trying so hard to build the love house (or the castle, or the university) that you end up not really using, or helps you make only 1 thing (like coins). Also you need foil to finish the business center, which you cane make in the golden elephant, which you can build with steel, which you can get in... the business center. That doesn t make sense. I still play it though, its fun!

Love the game...not the update. I absolutely love this game! I am hopelessly addicted to it even with all the waiting and so hard to find quartz. I love exploring and collecting, and gardening! But starting right after the update, when I plant something on one island and then go to another island, when I come back to the island that I planted, my plants that I planted there are gone..just the dirt is there. When I plant them again, it doesn’t happen. But I also have to pay coins again for the plants! So in short...I have to pay double coins for each plant! :( I hope this gets fixed soon, it is getting expensive to plant so I harvest as needed, and don’t stock up because I know they are going to disappear!

Still Lovin’ It After 2 Years!. Thanks for continuing to add new adventures & challenges and listening to player feedback. The characters and storylines are cute and creative. Kudos to your team! Happy to see the Achievements and the free Zombucks, I keep finding new and remembering old ways to get the resources needed to keep moving through. To those who feel stuck, don’t get discouraged. Take advantage of all the game options; watch the videos to get brains, keep your workers busy, open those treasure chests, keep farming, cooking, cutting, chopping, use the apparatus, trade sets, sell excess resources for coins. There is logic behind the fun!

Absolutely LOVE this game!!. The graphics are amazing!! The quality is unbelievable for a game that's offered for free! The storyline is super cute and engaging. I cannot say enough good about this game. There's everything to love and nothing to be complaining about. I cannot believe all the whiney self entitled posts by those complaining about having to pay for extra zombucks. Supporting the developers is optional. I have paid for extra zombucks. Not out of frustration over clearing islands, but in support of the developers. Think of it as a donation of support and the zombucks are just a bonus.

What do you do when the zombie turns human. I have played this game for over a year. That is how much I enjoy it. My zombie has become human and has his love. I enjoy the quests the story lines and the surprises that pop up while chopping down stones trees and flowers. The graphics are great and the zombies charming. But now I am at the end I guess. Is there a story line after the zombie finds his love? All she does is wander about. There’s no new island to go to. Does the story go on for this little zombie turned human. This game has been my favorite by far. I hope there’s more to it after the zombie turns human. Don’t want it to end. Please say there’s more.

Very Frustrated. I was playing and enjoying the game and then the Halloween update came and I was excited because I love themed updates for “holidays,” HOWEVER - the app/game wouldn’t let me play on the second day after the update because it said the game needed to be updated. ???? I checked for yet another update and there was none. I tapped the “update” button when the little zombie popped up telling me the game needs an update and nothing happened. This was the entire day. I probably should have been patient, but I deleted the app and re-downloaded so I lost all of my progress and the money I had spent. Yes, I know that part was all my fault but I didn’t know what to do because the game didn’t work anymore!

Fun Stuff. I usually have a lot to complain about, but that’s just me. In this case I really don’t have anything to say. This is a really great and fun game to play. There’s always another update waiting for me almost every time One wears down, giving a fresh game experience to start over with. I think it’s cool that you have to cook the items you need to carry on, and how you have to bounce from board to board, to get all your ingredients. The game has a bad, and frequent habit of stealing your crops when you switch from one island to the next after planting crops. It's happened so often I've been able to confirm multiple times that it also keeps the money you spent planting those crops. Gee, go figure that the coins (and Zombucks) are things you can purchase with real money... I strongly recommend avoiding ALL in-app purchases until this is corrected and confirmed to be so. That said, the game itself is cute, aggravating at times (you'll never have enough picks to clear rocks as fast as you can clear everything else on the first island, and the time limits to accomplish things on the third and fourth islands come as a nasty surprise thanks to no warning), but that's all in the name of prodding you to spend real money. I'm okay with it. The stealing has got to stop, though.

Love this game.. This is a game that teaches you patience. Only impatient people are required to spend Zombucks when they don’t want to. You don’t have to clear every island, be strategic with your buildings and how many you have of each. This is a game to have fun and destress. Don’t take it so seriously...your zombie is gardening...and clearing islands, doing quests, and you’re turning the zombie into a human. There’s Facebook support groups for this game, and they have free mini games on Facebook to win free things on the app. The developers seek out and listen to their fan base. What other app can brag about these same things?! ❤️🧟‍♀️❤️🧟‍♀️

So upset. I use to play this game and really enjoyed it. I over looked the lack of tools and frustratedly stayed patient when islands would disappear before I could finish one! I do like the gift thing everyday that's cool. Would be a lot better if I could actually play now every time I log on the game stalls then stays frozen until I log out!! It throws me out all the time and if I'm lucky and do get to play for 20 to 30 seconds it freezes again and everything I gathered, planted and plowed disappears like I didn't do anything!! So when I finally get back in the game I have to to do it all over again this goes on for days and I'm getting to the point that I'm over the game period! I don't have this problem with any other game just this one please let me know when you fix it so I might be able to finish the game thanks a lot.

Good. Good so far let you know more in a few days. Ok fun game but hate that it crashes every few minutes. It's a fun game now that they got the bugs worked out. Wish there were more updates for islands. Still enjoying the game. I still don't like timed islands, I don't have the time I used to to get all missions done! Still enjoying the game!!!! Still playing and enjoying the game. Just a thought, why don't you open the old islands so we can go back and clean them out. Not the timed islands. And stop putting so much stuff on the islands it takes forever to clear. And give us more crystals so we make more wells so we can clear the islands.

Awesome zombies.. This game relaxes me. I enjoy making wells and structures and traveling to other islands. I am glad that Zombie Castaways updated. I sure hope that they update soon instead of waiting for months. That is why I deleted this game about six months ago and I reinstalled the game about two months ago and I'm still enjoying the game. I also wish the under water part was longer and less wait time in between divings. I. Also wish that the tools would be higher than 100 like 200 so the wells would be full instead of being only a quarter way full. I also wish that everything wasn't so expensive to purchase.

Repeat to developer and support team....not quite right!. As stated from previous players....game is fun until one runs into the lack of ability to acquire needed items...namely quartz. Soooooo disappointing when developers don’t pay attention to problems players experience and voice. Also, rarely offer any purchase offers so you are forced to either quit playing or keep purchasing full price! Have played many games where developers didn’t give a hoot for what their players think, and years later after everyone has left the game, they are left begging for you to come back with offers that should have happened much earlier. Just remember games are constantly evolving off the back of your game, but they have learned the lessons you would not! Come up with a quartz fix....such as a quartz seed, quartz fountain, etc., or you will lose gamers!!!

Best game. One of the best games I ever played especially when going on long trips such as school, college, field trips, other places and etc. I would never ever though I like this game till I finally played it I mean I wouldn’t of decided to play it till the ads kept popping up on my phone about it so I give this game 5 stars bc that’s how good it is to me and I recommenced this to my 8 family member and only 7 download it and they liked it so I’ll share more about this on my social media so ppl can try it out for themselves!!!! Fun game overall. This is a fun game overall. When I first downloaded it, it continued to freeze up on me. I had to uninstall and then reinstall the game which unfortunately made me have to start all the way over. It’s super easy to use up all of your tools and if you are a gamer (like me) that doesn’t use in-app purchasing, it can take a long time to get tasks done because you have to wait and continue to save up tools. The water wells are helpful as they give you tools on a regular basis but all my tools are gone a second later just to cut down one tree or dig up one rock. I do enjoy the quirkiness of this game. All the little details make me chuckle.

Fun game. Gets better the more you play. So, I’ve been playing this for a while and I really enjoy the game. Getting tools can be frustrating, but I finally figured something out that works. If you get a bunch of brainy treasure hunters over time, the objects they collect allow you to sell the Sign Set in collections. That gives you quartz, which allows you to build more wells and get more tools. It requires some patience, but I can have about 4 wells at a time now. It is hard to clear out islands in time before they disappear, but it’s still fun. The story line is a little weak, but not bad.

Update stops game opening. I updated the game today (October 2) and it’s yet to load. Ive sent crash reports. So I’m hoping it’ll be fixed. Time will be running out to compete the new island and I’ll be short changed. But I have played this for well over a year and love it as much today and then. I agree that it is slow to complete an update patch and the wells don’t seem to last nearly long enough. Hard to obtain items in large quantities seem to be more about making money than a game challenge. Putting negativity to the side, I have been happy with most of the changes in the past updates. So keep moving forward with it. You’re doing great.

Much Better Now. I started playing this game not long after it came out. Got partway through and got really frustrated with the difficulty in advancing. I quit and deleted. Started and stopped twice more for the same reason. Now, it seems many of the problems have been fixed and the game has been significantly improved. I recommend it to anyone who likes this type of game play or who are looking to try it. It’s quirky fun and with a little patience, I can finally progress.

Cute but pricey. I like this game a lot but it is almost impossible to get anywhere without spending a hefty amount of real money to buy tools to clear the islands. Don’t get me wrong, I know this is a business and the creators of the game deserve to get paid but this is out of line. If you’ve got a half million players and each appends $5. A month that ought to be plenty for the makers of the game, but I’ve found I spent closer to $100. In the short 5 weeks I’ve played this game. To pricey for me to continue. It should be easier to either get tools and supplies or to earn money to buy the more powerful ones.

Fun Game but c’mon with the tools!. I love the storylines and theme of the game. Some of the plant and building names and concepts are hilarious. It is more fun to play than Klondike. Having said that, it mirrors that game’s shortcomings. Tools. You can build multiple water wells, but they burn up pretty quickly so you need to plan to rebuild frequently. Some objects, like large rocks, take an enormous amount of tools to bring down. Similar to energy in Klondike, you cannot get enough of any tools to make real progress. This leaves you frustrated and apt to leave the game and go play someone else’s game. New holiday storyline and overview of islands and tasks on each is really good. There’s also now email for updates, which is a great feature. Fun game!

SLOW, & EXPENSIVE, was fun.. I voiced my concerns about lack of enough tools (dispensed from a water well) or buying more water wells 50K each, with limited parts to build said additional wells or to point, TOOLS!!! I received a reply, post haste explaining I could “exchange” treasures for parts to build a well. A very nice reply. I struggled on through the Christmas Holidays, New Years, and now Valentines...I may not be the brightest bulb in the box, but I do know slow, and now boredom. I play,(Jeopardy, Solitaire, watch a movie) waiting for “tools” I receive twice a day. (SLOW). I look through other apps for a game I might enjoy as I did this wonderful Zombie world (s). I hate it has been so disappointing. The graphics were spectacular and the Zombies loveable, just the stingy owners wanting more money. The same, every place you turn. I like to play to relax & have a little fun...not worry when the next shovel or pick will come in. Sad.

Tip for new players. I don’t write reviews but I can’t help but notice all the complaints about getting tools. I have a tip. When you get to Mad Island, finish it and clear it completely but don’t ever use the dock and close it forever! Mad Island has two tool wells on it that never run out. I have been playing the game for years and I have never spent a cent on it. With two wells on Mad Island and the one on Love Island I always have enough tools to finish the limited time islands. Occasionally I will buy an extra well to put on Love Island with coins, just make sure to have your cooks always cooking up T-bone Berry because new wells need 12.

Cute idea, but many issues. The idea for this game is fantastic. Unfortunately, after more than two years since the game was released, the main story line is still not complete, and one is left with weeks with no ability to move forward on the game, and no ability to complete the game because the end does not yet exist. Also, many of the quests involve tasks that take days or even weeks to complete repetitive tasks that do not involve any forward motion in the game so that one is left wondering if it is even worth continuing at all. In addition, the game crashes constantly, sometimes as often as every five minutes, and often resulting in lost rewards or progress.

Quartz and Wells. I’ve noticed quite a few people commenting on the lack of quartz available on islands, and the necessity of having it in order to build wells for tools. If you go to the chest at the bottom (where the storage and recipes are) you will find it there. You can then exchange it for how many you need. In fact there’s quite a bit more to exchange. Take a look, you’ll be surprised at how much the devs have done to make this game playable for free. I do have to say, “Grotto” takes a lot of tools in order to clear an item, but then again there’s a lot to cook, so time is what it’s all about. Thanks for a great game. Keep up the awesome work.

No tutorial. I am just beginning to play this game. It is a cute format and love the graphics! But, I find it super hard to figure out! They show a very quick tutorial at the beginning but once starting to make items and find the sources to complete them is mind boggling! I try to produce the items I need and it says “use” so I hit the “use” button and it seems I need to spend zombie bucks to get it going! Why? I never do get the items needed so this is so very frustrating! I contact the support team and it sends me to Facebook! What the heck is that about! Can’t support just tell me why? Is that too much to ask? Am about ready to delete my app and forget it!

Tools & Not Enough Quartz!. I have to agree with the others. Tools are difficult to get. You go through the trouble of building the wells but they are temporary! So you’re constantly having to build them but you run out of quartz! PLEASE ADD MORE QUARTZ ON ALL THE ISLANDS! Also, it would be nice to have a “are you sure” button before spending your Zombie Bucks! 🤨😠 After playing a while longer and my son purchasing $20 on this app(thank you Luke!) I have become addicted! I pull this Zombie game up throughout the day ALL THE TIME!😁 This is a pretty awesome game! I now change my stars to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Everyone enjoy!!!

I play for hours. I really like this game. The game play is set up where you do have to mine, harvest, and chop the items you need rather than asking a friend and waiting for days. With all of the wishing well type buildings scattered over the many islands, I don’t find myself waiting long for tools. During the wait I’m able to plant, fertilize (available in abundance ) and harvest plants to finish other goals. The buff system through the Cinema tends to give me buffs for harvest or wells and sometimes both. In order to build up your tool collection check back often and collect. Or explore the island and find gifts.

Fun and frustrating. I am having fun with this game except for a few things. The necessity of needing to buy cash to accomplish tasks is not good. I expect a little of that but not this much. I think progress should be made even after you leave the game. It seems like after building wells, that are necessary, at some point they should become permanent. I am addicted to this game, I do wish that some items (stars, items to build wells, etc) would be easier to find because you have to wait forever to find just a few

FRUSTRATING!!!. Love the game. It’s fun, but only when you have 10-15 wells going for tools. But then the wells are taken as they are used up, leaving you with no quartz to build more to keep the game going. VERY AGGRAVATING. In order to play longer than 5 minutes at a time, I have to fill each of my tool bags to the lame limit of 100. To get my tools to the 100 limit, it takes 37 well clicks. 37! Ridiculous. Many times, the obstacles in your way take OVER the limited bag count of 100. Also ridiculous. The rewards for completing an island are subpar, and should be MUCH more than the rewards for completing a task. Zombucks are rarely given, and it’s usually just one at a time. Very frustrating.

Cute game but frustrating. I play the game for a few days then quit for 6 months. The issue with the tools has not been resolved by the developers. When I sit down to play a game and can’t go any farther I am less likely to continue to play. Especially when I see an issue that is mentioned in almost every review and the developers make no effort to help make the game play more appealing. Developers need to take a page out of the Hay Day developers playbook who maintain constant contact with their players and are extremely responsive to players feedback. I don’t mind spending money on games where the developers show some interest in their players.

I love the game, but my zombie is getting restless feet. I love playing Zombie Castaway. I can get lost in accomplishing the quests (when there is any). I find it very frustrating that you can’t get enough quartz to build wells, and when you have done all the islands there’s nothing to do but build up your supplies, and you can only build them so far before you run out of zombie coins (when you grow plants). I would like to use my zombie workers that I have in storage, and I would like to have more challenges, but I do still love this game. I’ve grown quite attached to my zombie/human. I just feel he is getting restless feet. He wants more.

Addictive. OKAY! I give up! I love this game but when it takes you 5 time to make 1 battery it's gonna take forever to get the amount of batteries I need! I need 240 time to make all the batteries I need to break a toy heap down! UGH SO FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED! I hate to give my game up because I love it... but gonna have to do it. Bye bye zombie castaway! 👋👋👋 This game is fun and addictive. I think the only thing wrong with it is the amount that it cost to cut, ax and chisel something up. Some I feel is fair but others not so much. But other wise I love this game! The characters are cute as well. Please give more tools or less use of them to cut things down. I love love love this game but I can not play as much as I would like due to having to WAIT for tools 😖

Interesting. Pretty elaborate game , with many options , obviously laid down in such way that you can hardly progress without spending money on it . That’s a bummer but I do spend money on games that I like , the main issue is this game is not integrated in Game center ... What ??? I have to connect with a Facebook account?? Seriously? Well , I personally despise Facebook and I have never created an account with them. So what options do I have now ? I can’t play the same game on my IPhone and on my Tablet , right now i will delete the game on my phone as I am not willing to play the same game on two accounts. That needs to change . Devs , what were you thinking about??

Tools. I am also responding about how difficult it is to acquire tools. I realize this is an in apps purchase game however even spending money tools do not last long. It takes so many to remove items I would be broke. I have also noticed that my tool total is not always correct when retrieving from the well. For example I see ax tools but my number does not increase. The enjoy some of the tasks but I will never complete a full journey. I do like playing this game. I like the adventure and investigating the islands. Update: Still love playing this game. Like the daily prizes. Update: getting too frustrating to play.....again. Never get a response from game development... done. I'm done playing....its ok your response did not help. I am not looking for more tools but don't make it soooooo hard to get even an adequate amount...five axes for removal of a boulder that takes 90....again I do know you are trying to make money on in play purchase.

Great idea, not so great execution. The idea of this game is pretty cool, however the execution leaves quite a bit to be desired. I agree with others that the play is far too bogged down by having to wait for tools to generate constantly. I wouldn’t mind having to buy something that allows tool generation or the like, but not at the rate that this game requires. I believe that the developers are titled to fair compensation for their labors, but this game seems to be designed to require the player to constantly go to the well to buy in game items to be able to continue at any thing beyond a very slow snail’s pace. Constantly waiting to generate a couple of tools which are never enough to do anything useful, then waiting again for tools to regenerate, wears down the enjoyment of the play.

Long-Time User. I’ve been playing this game probably pretty much since it went on the market. Lately I have not been able to finish games. Also, upgrades are forced on me that include more timed games. I’m thinking of playing on airplane mode after this update until I finish a game and am ready to take on another one. I have a whole string of games that have no timelimit that I have not touched due to the fast and furious pace theteam spits out upgrades and new timed games. I hope that works for me. I enjoy the games but they are becoming more tome consuming; have entertained deleting my game or just blowing off new games for a while. I do have a life outside of Zombie.

It’s a love hate thing.. I’m not going to say anything different than what others have already been complaining about for years. I have set this game down for months at a time because it gets frustrating, boring, and redundant to only be able to play for a minute or two because you have to jump through so many hoops to get tools and supplies. I have a “meh” attitude now and only open it out of boredom. I used to be excited to play this game. I won’t ever spend money on any game, and I feel like that’s how this game is set up. It’s a shame the creators don’t seem to read the comments and make improvements. It’s the same complaints I read years ago. Maybe it’s time to just delete. 😔

Not working. You can’t get far in the game without Z bucks. As others have mentioned, the game is designed so you have to purchase items if you really want to progress. If you play without making purchases, you will move very slowly through the quests and towards meeting the overarching goal (I.e., getting the zombie to meet his love). Materials to grow and progress are hugely limited - not just by access but by the limit of tools you are allowed to hold! You are also flooded with quests, which becomes a sort of headache and burden. Finally, the game has completely stopped loading for me in the last couple days. The game keeps prompting me to update it, which I try to do in the App Store... but it won’t let me! I tried updating several other apps on my phone and they all downloaded and operated just fine, so I’m thinking the problem originated with this app itself. Shame!

Love and hate. First I love this game. I hate that it’s so hard to acquire quartz to get the wells. You have ONE permanent well. That’s it! One...you get another one on each island but it’s temporary. I’m tired of spending money and feeling like I’m getting nowhere. At least put an option to buy a permanent well...I would be willing to do that. It’s difficult to get resources and don’t tell me I just need to play because I do every day off and on all day! I feel like I’m not getting anywhere and I won’t be doing anymore of the seasonal ones that last for 14 days because without supplies? Not able to finish it. Fix the problems if you want people to continue to play. It’s a great game but no wells and limited supplies equals not much fun and lots of frustration. Done spending my own money.

Best pass of time.. I have been playing this game for about a year or so and this games is oddly fun to me, everyone has a remark about it being a kids game. In reality I thinks it’s a good pass of time, I work like crazy and so when I get the chance to pop into the game for a sec and I collect my tools and move on to what I have to do next, for those who say they only get 30 secs of play time I recommend to space out everything you do. Buy more than one building that offer resources and like the crypts that offer gears to make cables and such I have 3 of them, that way I have better chances of getting more resources faster while I’m waiting to re-up on my tools.
