Yubo: Chat Meet & Make Friends App Reviews

Problem. I saw the reviews and loved what I saw. I gave the app a shot but didn’t get to see much of it. I looked at the verification option. Not something I need but thought might be nice since it looked easy enough. I went through the process using school ID since I didn’t have one of the others next to me. After sending in the request, it would be reviewed. Nice. But After exiting the app and coming back on probably an hour or so later, the app opened on the “verifying under review” screen and there was no way to exit. Even a day later after receiving a reply that my request was denied, the same screen was there. I even tried to delete the app and reinstall. Since I had high hopes for the app, and could see myself using it for awhile, I bought the 3 month plan subscription and I don’t want to make a second account because of that. There is no way to cancel the verifying process once started, and I haven’t been able to use the app in almost over 2-3 days. I sent in a second request but want to cancel it since it’s basically just a simplified version of what I’m writing rn instead of pics of the ID.

VERIFICATION TEXT. I downloaded this app 4 times and it’s because I didn’t get text verification to even test the app out. In order to enter the app you have to have a text verification sent to your phone. In this case I didn’t have that I didn’t get a text verification. Instead, I got nothing and I was left with nothing and I wasn’t able to even test the waters with the app the first two times I downloaded it. I thought it was something wrong with my phone until I had it sent it to other devices after having it sent to two other devices I deleted the app since it didn’t work I didn’t try to download the app on my computer which I didn’t work on there either. I looked it up on Google. They said it may be something wrong with the version of the app or my phone. There’s nothing wrong with my phone by the way. So I downloaded the last two times and I thought it was a bug so after downloading it the last time it was an updated version history. I checked it and it was updated a week ago I’m downloading it again to test the atleast so I thought. There’s still a bug in the app.

Pretty good. Yubo is actually a really good app. Gives you the opportunity to meet friends in your area and around the globe ! I wont say that EVERYBODY on that app is nice because that would be a lie, there are bad people all around but what I can say is I have met some pretty amazing people both male and female. Sometimes the app gets frustrating (especially if you don’t buy the subscription) because people start swiping you less and the replies become shabby. I love how you can put the emojis to describe you and the swipe setting also. If you subscribe then you could see everyone who swipes you and also have a lot of other access. I met my current boyfriend who i’ve been talking to for a while on this app. I thought it would just be a joke but it’s pretty good. Always be aware of who you talk to on ANY app but I can guarantee you it’s difficult to find a catfish on this app especially with the verification system. Please try it out, it’s not for everyone but maybe you’ll like it !!

I got locked for no reason ya no f this app. So this app is good. I like it a lot and it’s super easy to make friends. But if your super young like me I’m 13 and you get locked out your account you can’t really do anything. Like we’re old enough we just look super young and then we get locked out our accounts and it’s pretty annoying. Cause I made a lot of new friends and now I got locked and I can’t get unlocked. so that’s the only thing and now I can’t even use the app. So if there’s anyway I could unlock it Imk but other than that the app isn’t that bad actually pretty dope just didn’t like how I got locked and some other account glitches Ya pretty terrible about that glitch Yubo please fix your app Ya no terrible because I have no way to unlock my account and I’m old enough to use it idk why I got locked. And Yubo doesn’t respond to any reviews no f this app Yubo you guidelines and way too strict and don’t use your brains and lock random accounts cause they LOOK “young” ya f out of here bro and I’ve made a decent amount of friends boom just gone like Yubo doesn’t respond, trash app, too strict guidelines, and doesn’t even bother to change it I can’t with this app. 🤦‍♂️

Poor customer service/ updated review. I’ve had this app for about maybe a year. But recently I’ve decided to get back on it since I never really used it like that only once a week to see if anyone i knew was on. All of a sudden my account got blocked I couldn’t swipe on anyone and all of the lives just disappeared and it would say choose another country, no other country had lives. I couldn’t message anyone at all and when I contacted the customer support they said “ sorry for the inconvenience we’ve identified the issue and will fix it in the next update”. 7 updates later and almost a month or two later nothing has been fixed and no update from customer service on what happened or why it was happening to me. After several emails I recently got the same message again and honestly just done with the app. Nothing has been done. Update: February 14,2021 Remembered this app and decided to give it a 6th chance lol on my new phone, to no surprise I was immediately blocked so I would highly advise not even wasting your time on this app. Encountered plenty of racism while on this and support really didn’t do nothing about it. you call these guys out or even try to get some type of help and you get blocked and ignored.

Yubo locking. Hey so the thing about my account is that I have been verified I’ve also submitted a request to re-verify myself because my account was locked I’ve also requested for the third time now I’ve been a user for two years typically live most of the nights I’m up And I also can’t get a response from yubo when I email my issues this has been going on for longer than the 24 hour wait.. I’ve been rejected my request for the second time and this has never happened. This is an amazing app however I feel like yubo is taking too long. I’ve been told that there have been more verification requests in the past couple days but my friends account was locked AFTER mine and unlocked BEFORE mine. A response would be helpful from whoever. Email or anything that I can reach out to about the problems I’m facing. Appreciate it. Still getting my best rating although it’s been a while.

Constant, blatant cash grab at every turn. I’m a fan of this app, I’ve made many great friends on it and had a lot of fun with the live streams over the years. But I cannot ignore the fact that, piece by piece, the app has been redesigned to cater to paying customers and NOBODY ELSE. To clarify, I am not saying that people who pay for the premium version simply have an advantage of some sort, I am saying that the user interface of the app is dedicated to more paid features than free ones, no matter what version of the app you have. To make it even worse, there is NO WAY to disable the notifications for all of the paid-only services. This means that, at any given moment, the Yubo interface will show you two types of notifications that you can interact with, and three types of notifications that will only reroute you to a window to pay for the premium version. I can make my peace with an app having a premium version, I can even live with the occasional advertisement for it, but it is unacceptable to bombard the user with notifications for features they cannot use, on top of making them watch five videos a week for the in-app currency, on top of randomly playing an ad when they open the app. Be better.

Review. I like the app. It’s great and people are awesome. The way the app is set up is also really great and overall it’s just a very great app. What I don’t like is the fact that I have to PAY to see who viewed my account and the fact that I have to pay to view like 20 other people that added me who I will most likely never be able to add back unless I pay. I don’t mind not being able to see who viewed me (yes I’m curious but I can overlook the fact that someone has viewed my acc 10 times). I would like to be able to see ALL the people who added me so that I may be able to add them back and make new friends. I find it really dumb that I have to pay to see like 20-30 people who’ve added my account and I can’t add them back. I understand that the app needs ways to get money so they can keep running the app but there are plenty of other ways to get it. For example the app already makes you pay to get their Yubo coins and some people really waste their money on that. Some people are extremely curious and are willing to pay every month to see who viewed them. Those are great ways to get money already I don’t understand why I can’t see 20-30 people who added me when the whole point of the app is to add people and make friends and that completely goes against that but overall the app is great.

Toxicity and Bullying Galore. It’s ironic with the community the app has built. It’s filled with the typical outsider that has no friends, and they love to be toxic. They live to bully others on the app cause they’re bullied in person but they are power hungry and have it for once in their life. I used to be on the app consistently back in 2018 and prior whenever it was called Yellow. I redownload it every so often (every 6-9 months) and see how it’s doing and what all has changed. I’ve never even needed the app, I just would use it out of boredom. If you want to be randomly harassed as a woman, blocked and banned for no reason, or made fun of without any provocation then this app is for you! :) If you want to make friends, start your own live and rarely join others. Most of the time the people will already have a group of online friends and they will treat you terribly if you try to join in. On the rare occasion they are polite, there is a 50/50 chance they will ban you from the live without a warning and no particular reason. It happens all the time. Anyways, take this into consideration as you read this. Most people with social lives won’t even be bothered to download this app so go ahead of you lack one. If you download cause of an ad and you’re just bored, this isn’t for you. It isn’t for me. It’s like all the band kids decided to make an app and meet there. Also lonely stoners. Overall just avoid it if you’re even somewhat normal.

really??. i enjoy talking to people bc i have bad social anxiety, i randomly got this notification that i had been locked out of my account for security reasons and i had to send in my ID and wait at least 24 hours to be verified (ps i don’t look underaged at all) i’m not sure if this is bc people are reporting me saying i’m fake or something but even apps like tinder and bumble’s verification which u HAVE to be 18+ don’t make u show ur ID and video urself to make sure that ur a real person??? i also have my instagram in my bio in everything i have that’s similar to this app since a lot of people think i’m not a real person which is fair but again as i said, even dating apps don’t lock ur account before verification of ur appearance. i can however change my profile but cannot talk or see other people until this dumb app tells me that i’m in fact a real human being. if they really think ur not human why don’t they put one of those simple puzzles that u have to confirm ur human... it’s really disappointing. also the payment is god awful, this isn’t a dating app even tho some might think that so why is there a WEEKLY fee for seeing who liked ur profile?? i’m pretty sure tinder (which is the number 1 dating app is less money that that and u have more freedom) anyways hopefully they unlock my account since i was talking to quite a few people before completely ghosting them unintentionally do better thanks

Findings on the app. I wanted to test and see whether the app was meant to create new friends. I created many accounts to test my theory. First I created an account for over 18 and made my bio friendly. Sure enough about 1 in every 10 messaged me about becoming friends. Secondly, I tested whether or not being a little explicit would change the results. It did. For starters 1 in every 5 would message and about 10% of them, would be explicit conversations. I was going to finish here, but to test the age (since there were people that were lowering their age) I made an account that was 17 and all it asked for was a picture of my face. this made it too easy for older people to disguise themselves as younger people. I would suggest using some form of ID, like a school ID and take picture for a higher level of security. Overall, I making friends is the number one priority with the app, but there are a pretty large number of people that are going beyond what it’s meant to be used for. (For users: if you are going to use this app for anything beyond making friends, please don’t use this app)

Overall a great app. *Personal perspective* I got to honest say from my point of view of having this app since it was called yellow. I think it’s a great app all around the fact that you meet new people on here daily is amazing, I’ve met several people from this app and became great friends with them in person. Also when stream you have so many options to removed/ban or mute from chatting users who are not friendly or rude. In addition to that this app has a swipe feature where you can swipe right or left to add new friends. So it expands the variety of people you can meet. How ever it doesn’t give you a filter where you can just choose to match with people in your area. If that feature was added it would be great! In addition to all that the yubo team does Q&A to get the opinion of the users on the app and they gather those opinions and suggestion and put them on feature updates. Overall the app has great potential to it specially if you are patient. I plan to stay using this all and suggesting it to friends for a while.

Please stop..... I loved this app as it was a way to meet new friends and cool people, I had so much fun on lives listening to people tell funny stories and embarrassing times, now everytime the app updates I have to be afraid of worried about what else is it going to try to make me pay for? First it was to see who added me so I can talk to more people and now they took away the right to swipe right on as many people as you wanted and are charging you $6 dollars a week, $10 a month and like $20 for 3 months. That’s absurd, it shouldn’t have to be monthly to meet new people, the purpose of the app says it’s to connect people around the world and make friends who would be interesting, however all I’m starting to see are money hungry developers who are driving away the diversity and people who roam this app. I have many high hopes for this app and I hope they do a 180 and decide to calm down a bit but they also separated the community in two. 18 and below and 18 and up. You cannot add or contact anyone in the other community and I think it’s absurd.

Great app but major issues. This is a great app and I’ve met a few people on here that I’ve been friends with for awhile. Although, this app has some major problems, if there was P2W in an app like there is on games, this would be the headliner. You have to pay to make friends, you can’t swipe right more than 5 times within a certain time period or it gives a 15 minute timer, to do infinite you have to pay ELEVEN DOLLARS, PER MONTH, which is an insanely high price. Not only that but you can’t even see who’s swiped on you, you have to just go through and eventually hope you see all of them in your swipes, if you don’t, the only way to see it is with that same monthly cost as before. I get paying to boost yourself, maybe get yourself out there more or even to see who’s swiped you but limiting your swipes is absurd and it’s hugely overpriced. Not to mention the fact that everyone on there is between 13-18 so probably won’t even have a job and I doubt you’re gonna be on that app if you’re some rich superstar so idk who tf has enough money to pay for that

Yeah. I 100% love this app. But there is one thing that bothers me. You should have a setup where you can see people from your own state in the scroll management feature. It's wonderful to meet and make new friends all over the world, but if you want to hang out with them it's a pain because they're all over the country. I would love to make new friends in my state. I don't know many people and I'd like to know more, but I don't know where they're from and I can't exactly travel across the world in a second to meet them for an hour. Add an exclusive my status feature to the app. It will make everyone's life a lot easier and there will be more people who will come and download the app. In my opinion, it's a win-win situation. Please keep this in mind and update the app soon. I'm not complaining about anything else. The app works very well and is the best for making and meeting new people and friends. But another drawback is that it won't let me post a photo of my stomach because a quarter of my nipple is visible. It's super weird because it counts as nudity even though we all have stomachs and everyone looks the same. (By the way, I'm a guy). Work on what I said, it will make the app much more popular and much more useful. Thank you very much, I hope to see the update soon.

Used to like it.. Alright so when I first got this app it was great, I had no problem with anything until now. It seems like since yubo is now getting more popular more updates are happening which makes the app crappy, like the fact that you have to pay to keep swiping on profiles and to see who swiped on you is ridiculous. But that’s not the only thing that’s messed up, so I recently uploaded a photo to my profile which was just me in a skirt with a shirt on but apparently that’s inappropriate to show off your thighs, which got my account blocked. I then updated the profile as it told me too and I did this like 100 times but it kept telling me I needed to change it, and that I needed to show my face , which I had 4 pictures of my face clearly on there. I then sent an email to yubo and they received my email and so to them fixing the problem was to completely lock me out of my account ( can’t even delete it) and force me to download some app called “yoti” which makes you give your identity to them. I don’t know why you need my identity? The pictures on the profile were me I have no idea why yubo suspected something wrong I’ve never had this problem. It’s so weird , I really used to love this app but it’s trash now. I’m not giving up my identity just to unlock my profile, yoti has a 2 star review with a bunch of people saying it’s a scam. Don’t download this app it’s costly and crappy and you’ll probably get banned for no reason.

Used to love it. I used to love this app and made a lot of friends on it, but now the new rule Yubo implemented preventing people younger than 18 to join the lives of people 18 or older has ruined it. I had a group of friends who I’d go live with and now 3 of are friends we can’t go live with. I also had another group who were between the ages of 18-21 and it wasn’t a safety issue, but now I can’t join their live. I’m 17 I can’t join half my friends lives because half or so of my friends are 18 or older and when I turn 18 next month I won’t be able to join the other half’s lives because they’re younger than 18. I really loved this app and I have tons of friends who do too, but we’re all extremely upset over this new rule. It doesn’t make the app better like updates are supposed to, it makes it worse. The live setting that allowed you to restrict viewing age worked just fine. I understand y’all just wanna ensure people’s safety but it’s frustrating to people who have already made friends with people and can’t talk to them now. Please consider changing this rule, hopefully before I turn 18, so I can still talk to my friends who are 17 and 16. Thank you!

Love this app, but there are some changes needed. Okay so I’ve had this app for years and have also spent a decent amount on it. If that doesnt tell you how much I enjoy it then I’m not sure what does. But there are two pretty important things that I think need changed. For one: notifications, there should be an option whether you want to know if people are going live or not, and it should be separate from message notifications. Secondly, there is a pretty heavy problem with scamming in this app, I’ve seen it happen to plenty of ppl. A simple fix would just be that the user send a picture of themselves and that they match the picture(s) in their account. This needs to be a bigger issue to be pressed, I’ve had three friends go through really rough times bc they made some decisions on the app that allowed scammers to leak images of them and let all of their friends, family, and coworkers know. It’s upsetting and it definitely needs to be locked down on. Other than that, I really have no complaints on this app. Other than mayyyybe that pixels need to be better explained in the app.

Thx Yubo. I would just like to say thank you to Yubo as it helped find a really special girl that completes me. I got yubo as a joke and I never thought anything would come of it you know maybe see a cute girl once in a while and get her snapchat. But one day I saw this beautiful girl named Madison and swiped right on her which was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. She added me back and we instantly vibed she texted with all exclamation points it was so cute and I felt a connection so I asked her to ft which one also one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. So after FaceTiming almost evernight for like a month we built a really special bond. So we decided to hangout and see where things went. And the second I saw her at mini golf I knew she was the one and that she was really special. Ever since we have been hanging out and honestly I fell in love with her personality she is such an amazing person and never fails to put a smile on my face and she is so caring and cares about others and always makes me so happy. She’s also the cutest girl that I have ever seen and I wouldn’t trade her for anything I’m the luckiest person alive and I’m just so glad that Yubo brought us together thank you so much☺️

Instead, I recommend suspending accounts until a member of the moderation team reviews the live session, allowing proper identification and punishment of the actual culprits. NOT for college women. This is for 16 yr old boys. I found this app through an advertisement. I downloaded it and within minutes I was just absolutely appalled. As a 22 year old woman, even after populating my page with tags of genuine interest, and photos that represented me and my passions, it was just an ocean AN OCEAN of uncomfortable boys. Not even men , BOYS. there are so many young kids. I was thinking it would be more of a college age, or that it would be an option to customize, but the population, despite all my customizations for age and location, was dreadful. I know the app developers can’t change the community using their app, but women beware, it’s very strange on there. Very weird people and uncomfortable profiles. Like a fight for attention and mass selecting adding people. Did NOT see myself represented in this. Even the pricing was weird because if you want to search through tags and find people you can single out to click with, you have to use coins or money to send them and it’s just all so weird. I get that an entire generation of kids are doing the best they can on apps like this but woah. Do not use this app if you’re over the age of 16. This is 16 and under, and main population is boys

over priced for absolutely no reason. updated. i’ve had this app since it was called yellow and honestly they’re charging people for no reason. the developers just want your money. when it was yellow, literally all of the “elite” features you have to pay for now were FREE or you’d just have to watch an add to see a few people at a time. but now it’s more annoying because they don’t re-show people like they used to do now there’s a point of “running out of profiles” to swipe on just to make you pay to see who’s swiped on you already. how is this app “great for making friends” but they try to force you into paying to see who does want to be your friend or whatever. i have about 200 people i’ll probably never meet because this app wants to charge you an arm and a leg TO MAKE FRIENDS don’t waste your time people, you might make some neat friends but they’ll try to push you into buying their passes and whatever else because the DEVELOPERS ARE MONEY HUNGRY. furthering my point now they’ve forced an update which doesn’t allow you to choose your swipe settings. and you have to pay for it in order to be more selective of who your looking for. mind you this feature was COMPLETELY FREE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEK. the people running this app are just running it into the ground because who in their right mind would pay 13$ for ONE week of their “power packs” or 18$ for ONE MONTH. it’s genuinely pathetic on their end.

Age problems !. So I’ve been a part of the yubo community back when it was considered yellow and I’ve always liked being able to go on the app and pass time but suddenly I’m now getting an error about my age? I’m a paying user for yubo so it’s really such an inconvenience not being able to use my account with the intended membership I’ve paid for (which I’ll tell you aren’t cheap either). I’ve tried contacting yubo for their help and it’s genuinely frustrating as the responses have been so slow, I have yet to get a response back. The app itself directs me to download Yoti and I have to which I find out that I still can’t even verify my age on there. The app sorta contradicts itself as you need to verify that you’re not over 18 trying to use the app for a younger community but doesn’t take into consideration that 1) if I’m truly underaged, why would I have a drivers license ? That immediately crosses off 1 of the 3 options. 2) if I’ve never traveled beforehand, I really wouldn’t have a passport at ALL to use to verify my age so that crosses off my 2nd option. 3) lastly my only hopeful option is the state ID to which I still don’t have. I’ve yet to get one for myself and more than likely most of the community on yubo under 18 wouldn’t have theirs yet either considering it’s not in their control whether they could get one or not due to parents. There’s a lot of flaws to this system and it’d be appreciated if this could be fixed ASAP

Bullying, Scammers, Weird People. I had this app when I was in highschool 4 years ago during covid. I remember it beng full of bulling, scamming, and just pure hate. I met my first boyfriend on there 4 years ago, and he was very abusive. But anyway, that's not the app's fault really. However, I decided to try it again this week as a 21 year old and all I can say is it's the exact same as it was 4 years ago. Constant toxicity and I mean constant. The scammers are out of control. I included my snapchat on my profile so that I don't have to pay a fortune to meet friends, and I got 5 scammers adding me a day, all very old men, asking for banking info and offering money for "services". I know this is normal on other apps, but it's excessive on yubo. I'd say the worst part of all are the lives. They aren't monitored. People go live publicly and then when you join their live they click on your profile and start insulting you in front of everyone else on the live. They get mad if you join and wanna talk, which makes no sense because why go public and then get mad for someone looking. All in all this app is just a hot bath full of drama and trouble.

Jesus Christ. When I first got this app, I was looking for friends to hang out in my area. I became more and more invested in those who had sent me friend requests, so I began to text them. Intrigued, I’d even decided to flirt. It was all fun at first. But then, it took up too much storage on my iPhone so I decided it’d just be better if I had deleted the app. A month went by, and my friend suggested we download it. I stipulated the idea that I had already created an account, but agreed to download it once more. Seconds after logging in, I realized that I had nearly 45 requests. Like no joke. I was stunned and went through everyone who added me, then added back those who were eligible of my attention. But recently, it’s become apart of my daily routine. Eat — sleep— Yubo. Eat — sleep— Yubo. Over and over and over again. It’s never ending. I just want my life back. But it’s just so bittersweet because of the beautiful humans in the app. Download it…Download this sinkhole of an app. If you dare.

Needs a lot of work.. One of the main problems I’ve noticed is the swiping algorithm once you turn 18+. They do Not want your profile to pop up at all, or rarely. When I was under 18 I’d get a lot of matches, then the day I turn 18 I little to no matches. The only way for your profile to pop is is literally if you buy boost, which in itself is pretty expensive for 5. I’d get 30-40 matches in 30 minutes. But the problem itself isn’t this only. So let’s say you buy the boost package for 5, you want to start swiping as much as possible, right? Wrong. 10 minutes in and it’ll say you now need to put another 10 bucks for the “power package” in order to be able to keep swiping. The app is trying to drag every penny out of you. Why not just run ads instead? Sure you can have premium features to buy, but please invest more time in these features. The limited amount of swipes is pretty ridiculous because if you just choose to buy the boost itself it’s worthless. And this app clearly wants to segregate you based on age and your forced to by the boost of you want to make friends and get matches.

Nice app, cool to meet people, but.... Decent app with nice features and it’s a safe way to meet people that are your age online. Only downside that is the most frustrating thing on my phone is the notifications for when people go live. I always get notifications for when someone I added or has added me goes live and it is the most annoying thing. My notifications fill up with only that and it takes up my whole screen and goes off so often that it interrupts everything that I’m doing on my phone and it angers me to no end. It’s a cool app and has been proven so far to be pretty safe and fun, but oh my god, make the notifications for people going live STOP. No one cares so much that they need to know every second when a person who friended them starts a live. It’s annoying and useless, so please change that and it’ll be a 5 star app from me because every other feature is fine and as I said before, it’s a pretty cool app.

Just because. I want to start out by saying that this app is perfect for trying to find people to talk to when you’re bored. I have met so many amazing people around the whole world who I can genuinely call friends. If you’re getting this app for love, (I see you lonely teens😎), then it’s either hit or miss but right now I’d say it’s a hit. I’ve met an amazing person who I’m taking it relatively slow with but I just know that my time with her let it be short or long will be the best. She makes me feel excited to wake up in the morning knowing I have something to talk to, she has the same personality as me if not even more crazy and I love that about her. She is beautiful not only physically but in ways that I can’t even begin to explain. She has my heart I hope I have hers. Tho we may be miles and miles apart I know the wait is worth it. No relationship is easy especially if it’s long distance but when it’s with the right person then anything is possible. It’s all worth it for the day I can look at her face to face and tell her ......... we’ll leave that for when the day actually comes;)

It’s OK.. Yubo app is fine like the app itself. It works great, at times can be a little tricky/confusing to use, but overall well designed. The only thing is the people on the app. This is going to happen with pretty much any social media app or app that market s itself as a way to make friends, but so many people are CREEPS. I mean downright WEIRDOS. I have had multiple 17 year old men in my dm’s calling me “pretty girl”. I have a S/O so I don’t respond unless they say “hey” and not some weird compliments or cheesy pick up line. I could go on and on about that, but the one other thing I want to mention is that you have to buy a bunch of things on the app. There is an option (kind of like Tinder weirdly enough…) where you can swipe left or right on someone based on their profile tags/description/appearance. Swiping on people is 100% free, BUT if you want to see who swiped on YOU then you have to pay. In my opinion that stuff if reallyyyy annoying because it feels like every other thing I tap on is asking me to pay for a me membership. So yeah I give Yubo a 3/5. Only go on here if you are looking for a bf or gf because this of definitely more of a dating app than an app to make friends.

Pay for friendship!. I've been using this app for a few days and it's a pretty decent and solid concept. It would honestly be such a fun and cool app if the in-app purchases weren't so stupid. The app has a swiping function where you can swipe around multiple accounts, see their interests and you can add then, or choose to pass, kinda like tinder. The funny thing is, you can't see who added you as their friend! Spotlight could be another useful way to make new friends, randomly appear on other people's feed, if they share similar interests, you can add them. These are great concepts for starting friendships, but it costs 6.99 a week. No i did not stutter. Most of this app's users are teenagers and it's pretty absurd you'd want them to dish out 7 dollars a week just for an app that isn't even guaranteed to life long friendships. 7 dollars a month would be more reasonable than a week. Swiping and spotlights should be included for free in the app anyways! I understand that they need to make money, but joining lives and video calling isn't for everyone, including myself. Good app, but executed poorly. Has a lot of potential, but the free version of this app is practically useless. I'm probably going to hop on another app :(

AI FACE SCAMS??. I’m a younger looking male and Yubo requires me to use a ID just because of the way I look! This app should b illegal!! I feel like it discrimination I feel it’s illegal and I’ll be contacting my lawyers because I want to know why was banned because of the way I look....and made to present ID when my other friends use the app there the same age as me, do all the same things I do all the time with no Id required why does yubo get to pick and choose who it discriminates against !This app calls itself keeping people safe but what it’s really doing is body shaming teenagers who don’t “look there age” like that’s our faults how we look!! Major age issues on this app , IMO it need to be investigated because they are also storing a lot of people sensitive private info on there servers such as ID’s of minors which if a data leak happens can be very dangerous I do not like this app it needs to be taken down and replaced with something better less strict and hurtful to people’s feelings because we are not ALL THE SAME we should not b treated like this by a app ! The rules have become so strict the app has become un usable to anyone but a 7 yr old

Pretty Decent. I’ve been using the app for a couple of years now and i’ve thoroughly enjoyed it most of the time. It’s great if you’re looking for friends or a relationship with someone in your area, I met my ex on here. I’ve developed a lot of great friendships from this app and i’m grateful for that. Although, I was pretty upset when I saw that the option to add people by tags was removed. How am I supposed to find people to talk to with similar interests? I also wish that the app was more LGBTQ+ inclusive. As a transgender boy/non binary, I was disappointed with the gender options. I think there should be more options for that. I also think the app should add more settings to the swiping preferences. I’m personally most interested in being friends with other transgender males and it’s fairly difficult to find them when i’m swiping, especially in my area. I believe the app should add settings that are friendly to the non-binary and the transgender community when it comes to choosing gender and preferences for swiping.

Racism - Zero Monitoring. Downloaded the app and created an account today. I was only on it for about 5 hours total. The app has a lot of pay walls and isn’t the most fun to navigate. I was exploring around the app, trying the features I had access to, and came across the “live” page where people were on lives/streams chatting. There were 2 “boosted” lives with like 20 people in each. I joined one quietly. The moment I joined one person said “Serena Williams, we got a Serena Williams” which I didn’t think much of. I then noticed that the live only had Caucasian people on video, and the people just in the live watching were all Caucasian as well, I was the only POC there. Then right after the Serena Williams comments, the same person said “I’m not a cotton picker, you’re a cotton picker!” And that’s when I realized he was calling ME Serena Williams and a cotton picker. I left immediately, deleted my account and deleted the app. The app claims to have a “safe community” and there were many notifications that it’s a kind place to hang out at. And yet one of the TWO BOOSTED lives on the app, had people be openly racist without any shame the instant a black person joins. I didn’t even have a chance to say or do anythig. This isn’t the type of place that is welcoming and must not being holding users accountable if they feel comfortable being openly racist on this app. Do better. If you’re a BIPOC, beware and spend your time in spaces that won’t treat you like less than human.

cool app but... Yubo is a good app and it helps with being more social and making friends and more but there are many problems that people go thru using this app like for example the strict moderation alerts..people keep getting banned for the smallest things like boys being shirtless which is not something that is rare to see now a days there’s many times my friends have been banned for no reason..another problem is getting yotied. Many people have problems with this because some get yotied for no apparent reason which is very annoying to deal with and it apparently needs many of our personal information which is ofc very shady and there is no need for us to share all of our info to a random app we all downloaded. Also I was forced to be verified and got yotied for no reason so ik what it’s like.. Another problem is that we can’t add ppl who are older or younger. Like for example, let’s say I’m 14 and I have friends who r either 15 or 16 and I can’t add them because of yubos strict guidelines. Another thing is that we have to pay to see the people who swiped on us. Especially since it’s 7 dollars a week is too much. Most of us are only teenagers and we have to pay weekly just to see who has interest in us which is so dumb and basically makes having Yubo useless. This app is mostly to make new friends but at the same time..because the rules are too strict we can’t even do that . So I suggest that you change up the rules a bit and be less strict.

it’s cool but ... it’s a cool app , i love meeting new people , but the more they change up rules and add features the less and less people get on, making viewers harder to find and making everyone hate the app. there’s two different communities, so you can’t hang out with your older friends which is the dumbest thing i have ever heard of. all my friends are 20+ but i’m 17 so i don’t get to join their lives, i mean who wants to join a 17 and under live ? the swipe app doesn’t work on multiple accounts, and the app changes what year you’re born in to a year that you weren’t born in. you don’t get notifications for lives or texts anymore and for a lot of people, the dms don’t work, they can receive dms but not send them. this app needs serious work and needs to listen to the people ON the app instead of the workers because making two communities is the worst thing they could’ve done for the app. ruined the app completely. as for having an iphone XS max , the screen recording option doesn’t work . they took off the option to lock rooms which makes it very difficult if you want to talk about a topic no one else needs to hear.

I love it. I downloaded Yubo when I was with some friends cause we were all just bored, I already had a different app and it was entertaining so I got this one. I thought it’d be like the other one a few conversations lasting no more then a day when I stumbled upon this one guy. I thought he was cute and I was in the discover page so I paid 5 coins to talk to him. I didn’t say anything to crazy cause I wasn’t expecting much he seemed out of my league. He texted back eventually and we talked for hours, he finally asked for my snap and we started talking on there. I’ve been talking to him for almost a month and a half we FaceTime every night and he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Finding someone on Yubo is the last thing I expected but I did. He’s equally as obsessed with me as I am with him and he’s told me how he was so nervous to talk to me when i first texted him when i was exactly the same. yubo slays so hard it takes a bit but if you really try you can find someone for you.

LOCATION. Overall I like the app, I think it’s way better than the alternate options, very interactive. I have 2 main problems though. The first one being not seeing people who add you. I understand paying to see who’s viewing you or having to pay to see maybe half of who adds you, but since I’ve had the app around 80 people have added me and I’ve only been able to see probsbly around 10 of them. And if you want to see them, you have to use 70 coins, which is frustrating because if you don’t want to pay it takes a while to get even that much. My other main problem is not having a good filtering system. If I’m making friends or finding someone I might want to get in a relationship with, I would much prefer to find people in my state. That being said, the filter provides you with being able to see people from your country or seeing people from your country first and gives you a mile amount, and neither of these options help. I put a maximum of 60 miles and the only people that show up are people from the west coast and the uk. Doesn’t make sense to not have a better location filter, I want to make close friends near me. Other than that, I like the app

YUBO is meant to find a “friendship”. I downloaded this app because my friend told me to, but later on deleted it because I found the ONE for me on here. It started by me setting up my profile with cute pics and funny videos. And then the swiping...I swiped left on TONS of people and only swiped right on those who I thought were “cute” or “boyfriend material”. Every now and then when someone would swiped right on me I would do the same to them and text them a quick “heyyy”. Of course they would never respond and I lost hope. But then this one guy replied and I said this sentence that just meant the world to him, “yeah let’s see where this “friendship” goes.” He instantly loved it because he hates when people put a label on something they have not even fully explored yet. So from there I gave him my number and now we’re on the road to talking for about 2 weeks and we’re mad crazy about each other. YUBO helped me find someone when I thought there was no one out there for me. I will forever cherish this app and I owe my future to it. Now that I think I’ve found the ONE, I deleted the app, but if you were thinking about downloading it...DO IT! I know you may be scared of stalkers or creepy people, but if you are just know that you can completely delete your profile if you feel like it. But also know that I gained a “friendship” with the ONE and other friendships with lots of other lovely people. Just don’t put terms on anything before you explore the ins and outs of it!

Unfortunate flaws. This app isn’t bad. In no way is it a bad app. But the fact that every time I tried to make a bio it was removed for being “inappropriate” is bizarre. Nothing I ever put in my bio was inappropriate. I tried to express the fact that I only wanted FRIENDS. (Which mind you is literally what this app is MADE FOR??) I wanted to express the fact I am indeed married and that i would prefer if people didn’t hit on me. I don’t use the app very much and I’m a little more active on Snapchat so I put that there as well to allow people to ACTUALLY be able to talk to me. It’s very sad that I’ve seen people with practically nude and pornographic pictures as their pfps but my bio wasn’t appropriate. I tried to even reword it multiple times! I also tried to express that I am 20 years old due to the fact that even after changing my age preferences I still came across people that were like 16 and 17 :/ Regardless, it’s a good app but when it comes to making FRIENDS. It’s not it. People treat this app like they would Tinder or Bumble and that’s just not really what this app was meant for?? I ended up just deleting my account so I can find something else.

App goes from Great to terrible. Back then the app used to be free and FUN now all of a sudden they’re charging you for everything if you want to swipe on a specific gender age range and distance so if you a girl and you want to swipe on only guys girls are going to show up on the swipe and guys if you want to swipe on girls only guys are going to show upIf you want to choose your swipe option you will need to pay for it back then this used to be for free also when you’re live if you title the live something they don’t like they’re going to make you rename the live again and you can’t do certain things on live anymore like how are used to be back then it used to have more freedom and now I feel like a parent is watching me The app needs to go back to its old ways how are used to be fun to use for hours nowadays you can’t even be on the app for an hour without it getting boring I feel like this app only cares about trying to make money that’s why this app is going to go out of business if they keep caring about money money money yes you can charge for some things but not everything make the swipe option free and make the lives more for adults

Verification Blues. I know everyone is going through the same issue. The verification process. The makers of this app are starting to prompt all its users to verify themselves on a sketchy third party app that not only takes your ID, but also tracks your movement, your phone movement, how you unlock your phone with fingerprint and etc. (Learned this reading on the Yoti website.) I absolutely resent any type of thing like this on my phone!!! Why would anyone ever want to download something that has that much control?!! Why is it that necessary for folks to verify their identity? Instagram doesn’t do this, Twitter & Facebook doesn’t. Why does this??? Also I’ve seen verified catfishes!! All you have to do is have your profile set up properly and with your face and all and submit proper documentation and once you’re verified you changed the pics to something random. I’ve seen verified barack obama’s on this app. You guys are going to lose a lot of members because of this. You should take this verification feature away because it’s very flawed and it’s totally unnecessary and unsafe and i’m going to contact the App Store about this because there’s a lot of children that uses this app, No one should be prompted and obligated to provide detrimental personal information. All in all, Great app & concept, Terrible Dev Team.

Worth a shot, at least. It was worth a shot, for sure, but all the ‘finding of friends’ features were hidden behind paywalls. You can “swipe” on potential friends, but to see anything else, you have to pay up. For an app advertised as “free”, it was very misleading. I felt hoodwinked. I spent over an hour curating my profile, and then it got super confusing/convoluted with the badges and tokens and notifications… it was messy. I liked that there were a wide range of tags to add to your profile to get some niche social interactions, but for some reason, it didn’t have a lot of options as far as LGBT content. And of the first two dozen “lives” and profiles I clicked through, I had to report 3: one for pornographic material (quite literally: the shadow of their penis), one for creepily wearing a ski mask in all of their photos (the app has strict guidelines for profile photos), and one for scary, toxic content. In the end, I actually only used the app for less than 30 minutes once I finished my profile. I was getting added by potential “friends” left and right (not to toot my own horn, or anything), but in order to view who they were, it would cost money. And from what I saw, there are more problematic folks, Snapchat pimps, social media climbers, and influencer-wannabees, than there are genuine friend-seekers. Sorry, but no. I’d rather be alone.

Terrible App. This is a terrible app. The people are mean, you have to pay to use the full extent of the swiping feature, and I don’t know if this app is for teenagers or adults. I’m 16 and expected there to be people 14-17 on there, but that’s only a small minority. There’s a lottt of people 17+ on the app, which makes no sense because on the swiping feature it has an age adjuster that says 13-17. Also the only way you can make friends if you don’t pay is joining live video calls. This wouldn’t be that bad if everyone on the calls were rude or mean or banning people for no reason. I also find it hard to join calls because whenever people see me they think I’m 12, so then I explain to them I’m 16 and even that’s too young for them and I get banned from the call. This has happened to me many of times which makes me wonder if this is an app for teenagers or young adults. I do find a small amount of girls and guys my age, but they usually look older for their age so they probably don’t get questioned. It also really saddening when people on a call roast you or ban you because of what you look like or your age or race or simply from what country you’re from. It would be better if you could adjust the age preference for live streams that you can join, but you can only adjust the region. Overall this app is toxic, highly addictive, and I regret ever downloading it. And I only experienced all of this stuff in ONE day.

You meet cool people up here but…. Honesty yubo isn’t a good app at all. I’m thankful that I found a friend up there that still remains in my life to this day. But you do get some really shady people up here as well. My main concern with this app is that it forces you to be friends with people of the opposite sex and only get one female if you set it up to swipe on everybody up there. I did an experiment with my boyfriend (who has yubo) and he only gets girls and only a few men. They should have an equal amount of people, not so many of just men (or women). The other thing is that you can’t see people’s ages when swiping. I am 18 years old and I can’t see what age are the people I swipe on. I get 29 year old men when I just turned 18 & in Highschool. They should have precise age settings, I don’t want to get people who are even 21 or older. Another thing is the creeps..they slip through the cracks with their slick nude pics they put in there profile. You get some very graphic ones too..it’s mad weird:/ Honestly the app should just be taken off the App Store at this point. Some people get taken advantage of DAILY on this app. Also 17+ is a joke, there be 14 year olds on this app. Ty yubo 😘

Terrible. When i first signed up I made my account as a joke but actually ended up liking it. I put a random age with a random year just to complete the sign up process quick. Now I know i quite like the app. However I go to change my age because i realized the app is actually safe and now i feel comfortable and it is asking for my ID?! I paid for a week $9.99 for the membership or whatever now I try to change my age and my account gets locked. Absolutely baffles me. I wanted to make sure the app is safe before i put my real information in. Now for the last 2 days my account has been under review after i submitted my ID- birth certificate because i don’t have an ID. My membership should be paused or something. I’m missing out on the conversations i was having and making new friends all because i wanted to change my age. I checked today and It says my information was rejected?! It’s my state birth certificate how are you going to tell me my information is wrong. I got frustrated and made a new account and deleted the old. I’m already upset because i was talked to a bunch of people making friends now I have to start all over. After making my account it says my NEW account is locked and needs to be verified. This is beyond outrageous. I understand the need to check ID’s but it’s an app targeted towards minors. Most minors don’t have ID’s. Very stupid in my opinion. Waste of time.

I’m baffled. I NEVER write reviews but this situation kinda deserves it. For some background I had this app before and got it back just to delete my account but then I got curious and made a new one. I decided to get verified because it would let people know I was real and because I had just got my school ID. I inputted the information CORRECTLY- I’m the right age, my ID photo was in good lighting, my pictures on the account CLEARLY look just like me but 10 minutes later a pop up tells me I need to get verified again and it LOCKS my account. I was in the MIDDLE of a conversation— I was completely lost and confused. I tried to text people but it said they’d been blocked and I couldn’t even use the app properly because of the pop up. I ended up sending in another verification but this time with my learners permit instead of the school ID because it was my ONLY choice. So now I have to wait however long it’s gonna take them to finally realize I’m a real person?🤨AND it could take up to 24 HOURS? It would’ve just been better if I didn’t try to get verified in the first place?? it’s shocking that other people who don’t submit any form of verification get to roam freely while I’m locked because I tried to verify myself… now I know why I deleted the app in the first place 🤷‍♀️ I’ll update if they even let me back on it

More manage swipe settings. I 100% love this app. But there is one thing that bothers me. You should have a setting to where you are able to see people from your own state on the manage swipe thing. It’s awesome to meet and make new friends around the world but if you want to hang out with them it’s a hassle because they are across the country. I would love to make new friends in my state. I don’t know many people and would like to know more but I don’t know where they are from and I can’t exactly travel across the world in one second to meet them for an hour. Please add a my state only feature to the app. It will make everyone’s life so much easier and you will have more people coming and downloading the app. In my opinion it is a win-win situation. Please take this into consideration and update the app soon. I’m am not complaining about anything else. The app works so well and it is the best to make and meet new friends and people. But another downside is you won’t let me post a picture of my stomach because a quarter of my nipple shows. It’s super weird because it gets counted as nudity even though we all have a stomach and they all look the same. (Btw I am a guy) Please work on what I said, it will just make the app so much more popular and so much more useful. Thank you so much hope to see the update soon🙃🙃.

wish i could give 0 stars. i had this app about 3 years ago, loved it and made tons of new friends.. recently redownloaded the app to find that there is nothing but racism, homophobia, bullying, and harassment rampant in there. not once, but 3 times just today within a 4 hour period have i fallen victim to all 4 of the things mentioned above, with no repercussion from any moderator this app claims to have. i have reported countless profiles and lives with little success in getting any attention from moderators or help in any way. i see no reason for anyone to join this app unless they are looking to get harassed and bullied simply for existing. i hope to see an improvement on moderator involvement with the things people say within lives and DM’s, along with more severe consequences for those choosing to partake in such vile behavior which has to be a part of some kind of guidelines this app should have. people who do get banned simply make new accounts, and i feel like it should be harder for those to make accounts if they have been banned/reported before, especially with reports of harassment, racism, hate speech, and inappropriate behavior. do not recommend this app unless you’re looking to be harassed in more ways than one.

upsetting.. So i mum on the app to make friends due to the fact i have none because they were toxic. so i came on the app hoping there would be decent people and instead of that i get harassed! and they always used the famous line "this is only a dating app".... quite upsetting cause i thought it was an app you can use for making friends as well... i even had threats from guys saying they were gonna come to place and hurt me than go after my partner, although we don't take the threats seriously i find it quite horrible that the yubo team lets them get away with after i reported the chat and the account😔i also add in my bio things like "i am only looking for friends" and it gets removed all the time and it's a breach of their "policy".... so im confused is yubo a dating site or a mixture of making friends and dating ? 😬💀 any how with the threats and harassment i get i will never ever recommend this app whether it's for dating purposes or for friends !

Really Yubo. Really?. As if it wasn’t annoying enough having to pay to see who swiped right on you, now you can’t even swipe right on more than 5 girls without them saying you have to share a link on Snapchat, or buy it, or have to wait 15 minutes. This is frustrating. I came on here as a pass time to see/talk to new people and they are just slowly stripping that away. (Keep in mind I did share the link, it got opened and they still didn’t acknowledge the fact that it got open and it still says 0/5 people opened your link). What’s next, you gotta pay to download the app? Jesus Christ were teenagers not adults.

Although Yubo hasn’t always been the best experience with having other girls be extremely disrespectful and some guys constantly asking for nudes. Issues. The current version has a few issues: 1) the matching with people within x distance rarely ever works. - this could be fixed by having an option “only match with people x km away from you” so then I guess a complete search would be completed 2) notifications and messages are a bit delayed and sometimes you get the notification and can’t see the message Suggestions: 1) post match searching, for people with 1000+ friends it is difficult finding people for example if I want to talk to people in a place I’m holidaying why can’t I search my current friends by age, gender and distance. 2) maybe a button which you can click which automatically opens up Snapchat with it being promoted to add that user 3) add distance away from you, not just their city as a lot of the time it is naming such small cities and you don’t really know where it is without googling. Honesty. When i was creating an account I didn’t like the idea of this app and it felt very unsafe. It has been a month or so now and i’ve made so many new friends and i find this app is great entertainment (live streams). It is really cool just to talk to people as if you have known them forever. I have taken a look at the critical reviews and i think the app does a really great job avoiding these concerns of bullying and supervising livestreams!! You get mean people everywhere you go! I have been locked out my account for 5 days to verify which i have been struggling with but i have been been chatting with the yuboteam back and forth. Hopefully it will all be sorted soon!

Review. At first I though this would be another fake typical bot app but it’s the furthest thing from it. This apps privacy policy’s alone stand out offering an enjoyable, yet safe social networking platform. It’s simple to use as well as understand AND guess what, FREE unrestricted access - with no tricky subscribe now pay later irritations. Also this app allows you to search social world, or confine a search to your country // region. On this app you make real friends, you have fun & meet people. 10/10 would and have suggested to friends!

It’s fine but infuriating. The app is good in the way that you get to swipe through profiles and meet new people and it’s very diverse however every time you first open the app and go to swipe through profiles it comes up with the demonstration of what way to swipe if you like them vs if you don’t. This demonstration keeps going and going so for that first person you can’t tap through the pictures or see their bio which is infuriating. Also needing to pay to see who swiped on you is dumb, and for the people who really want to see there should be an option where you exclusively can purchase that “power up” instead of all five that fewer people want. Maybe if there was three free unlocks each day like a sort of rewards system for logging on people would like the app better because many bios express how people should just add them on Snapchat and talk there because they don’t have the money to spend

Good, but stay safe!. Ok, so it’s a good app to meet people on however it’s basically for horny teens which is fine. I met someone I dated for 10 months on this all but to be honest I was VERY lucky, because there were defo 19 year old messaging me (at the time a 16 year old) doing some sus stuff. I feel like some age restricting needs to be going on, or just something to keep people a-wear of each other’s ages. Also met a few catfishes on there too, so as always stay safe!

New Live Page Layout. I’ve had yubo for almost 7 years and have enjoyed most of the updates, but this new layout of the live few page is by far the worst idea that has been thought of by your app designers. Not only do you have to scroll forever because the pictures of the lives take up the whole screen, but you can’t even filter out the countries anymore and now there’s no way of just being able to watch lives from your country or change. It’s really frustrating for everyone who is used to the app and it needs to be changed back as it’s going to cause lots of people confusion and to stop using the app. Please fix this 🙏🏼😩😩😩😩

Really good, just if.... I think this is an amazing way to find friends outside of your school and generally become more sociable. I’ve made a few close friends through this, but unfortunately had to face a lot of guys that didn’t have the same intentions as me, as well as a few people only using it to gain followers on Instagram and other social media platforms. Now this isn’t at all the apps fault, just making sure people are aware of that aspect of the app. Ever since I’ve gotten the app I’ve always had problems with notifications, and I’d really like to use this app more but it never sends me notifications, so it makes it quite easy for me to forget about it.

Good App. One thing I hope they add. I use Yubo on a daily basis to talk to new people and I am getting a bit frustrated on how when I set my distance to people within 30-40km. I always get people from the other side of the country. I was wondering if an update could be released so that it would only give people in your state while using the “Swipe” feature. I know people that would also like this idea as we would like to talk to people near us “Melbourne” so that if we were connected, it would be easier to meet and socialise.

Turning into a cash grab. Used to be a really good app cause you could swipe a few hundred people a day plus add an extra 200 people a day with the tags option but now you have to either login everyday to collect a reward which ultimately makes them more money + you have to use the tokens you collect to add the extra people from the tags section, or you can buy the tokens which is what they’re going for. They wanna profit off of desperate lonley people. The change honestly needs to be reverted cause I’ve met a lot of awesome people on here and it’s annoying what the app is turning into

Swipe filters are now locked behind power pack??. i’ve been using yubo for a while and it’s really great to make friends and meet people your age especially for teens that have a hard time making friends at school, it’s great for connecting with others. recently however i noticed that swipe filters are now locked behind the power pack which is baffling to me. i’m now getting adults showing up in swipe which makes me very uncomfortable and if swipe filters remain locked behind a paywall i will likely stop using the app. really unfortunate to see

Furious. I’m so upset I can’t even make an account cause it wants me to verify with yoti. I did download yoti entered a pin but decided to delete it cause I don’t trust it. Why all of a sudden do you have to download yoti in order to use this ? So you can see who’s being fake or not but either way why should we trust you guys with our personal IDs and stuff like either way it’s bad. So please remove verifying with yoti pleaseeeeeee I want to be able to use yubo againnnn!!!!.

Good app I think. It was a really good app at first and I made many friends but unfortunately a new update rolled in with the reactions which created a lot of problems. For example you can’t see who’s reacted to you unless you both add each other. And one of my friend bough premium so he can see his reactions but he had none even though it said he did. And when I added by people by the 100 add feature thing it would say I reacted to their pictures when I’ve never even seen their profiles in my life. So the app was making me and many others react to random people just to get them to pay for it. But anyways other than that I liked it but unfortunately uninstalled it cause of that I just got fed up with it.

Great to make friends but we careful. (This app does make you pay for premium things which is ridiculous as it’s used for making friends, why should you pay to make friends??) So I downloaded this as an attempt to make friends and sure enough I made friends, but there are for sure weird people on this app who treat it like a dating app. It’s fine if ur talking to someone as friends and slowly catch feelings but straight out using it as an intent to start dating is not so okay. Needs improvement.. This app is way too sensitive, my friend and I decided to practice doing some special fx makeup on a live together and we got banned for a week...there are literally 12-15 year olds faking their age and speaking to adults but special fx makeup is more of a concern???? Maybe ban the children instead. You literally can’t do anything on this app, It’s like the app is for toddlers and children even though it claims to be “17+” we cannot do or say anything that normal 17 year olds would do, blocking any little bad thing.. like certain words or even a knife when someone is cooking on live. My friend and I will not be spreading the word about this app, what’s the point of an app were you can’t do anything but speak and act like a 5 year old.

Cash grab app. I genuinely loved using the app when I first found out about it but now they have added features that u can only use when u buy it they have multiple monthly subscription they have taken features away from the people who want to use the app without spending money for example taking away the daily login rewards, being able to unlock who has liked you with 70 coins when u could earn those coins for logging in but now there’s no daily login if u want to get coins u have to watch 2 ads for 5 coins the app is slowly killing itself by adding in all these features that aren’t accessible if u ain’t Spending money

Teenage Tinder, but not ALWAYS a bad thing. I’ll admit, when I first downloaded this, I actually expected a way to simply make friends. And you CAN do that. But this app is far more efficient as a Tinder clone. For teens. Now, that’s associated often with flashing, warning signs. “A Tinder for teenagers?! OMG, that’s dangerous af!” Yes, it is, if your teenage child is an idiot that is. If your child is responsible enough to talk to people and make friends, or perhaps start a relationship online, make sure they know the risks, they can handle them, and they know what information to give and what not to. But the app in itself is wonderful. It has a nice, addictive system of swiping people that you want to talk to, whether for relationship purposes or for friendship. Very nice app, highly recommended to anyone from the age 13-25. If you feel your teenage child is responsible, and isn’t rebellious in any way, I say personally, letting them have this app is a good idea; they’d have a great time.

it’s alright, but... They need to include the persons age BEFORE we swipe, and let us actually narrow down our preferred ages more. As a 17 year old, I do NOT want 15 year olds on my account, but they’ll hide their age with a long name and pretend they’re older than they are. They also need more ID checks, or some proof of age, as I’ve had 20-30 year olds pretending to be my age or younger to try get nudes, and a lot of my friends have experienced similar problems. Yubo needs to change how they suggest people, or make people go through checks, as if I set my preferences to “Girls only”, I’ll get so many guys who are just trying to “get with a lesbian”. And suggest people closer to where we live, its cool getting people from across the country, but they’re basically the only people anyone gets. Yubo is an amazing app for pedos and predators, as well as people who like to harass others for nudes.

What’s not being talked about.. The verification on the app is an absolute joke. I would say statistically speaking, about 80-90% of the people I “friended” on this maps are either fake profiles, promoting their other social media platforms or outright their only fans. Why? Because the app is an absolute joke as a whole. The whole idea of making friends quickly sounds like the best idea for lonely impressionable teens to young adults. But when you cannot simply implement a better verification of identity, you end up with an app full of fake “noise”. So don’t get your hopes up if you think you’re going to make heaps of friends on this app. And yes I was a victim of this atrocious app. Talked to a seemingly nice individual for 3 days. Soon got my hopes up (thought my awkward self finally made a friend) and planned to meet that individual. That’s when they decided to break their facade and send me an actual picture of themselves. Let’s just say my hopes for this app, completely shattered.

Some things need work. I'm fairly satisfied with this app, but there are two issues that bother me. Firstly, it constantly prompts me to 'join my live' and displays random live streams, despite having all live and in-app notifications turned off. Secondly, I'm disappointed that there are no new Halloween pixels available :( Other than those things especially the live one!!! It’s a great app!

Swipe needs a fix. Hey guys, great stuff with the new features on the app. However, there seems to be an issue with the “My country first” algorithm, as I only just made a fresh account and I’m constantly being shown people from my country well outside my even the maximum range, as well as people from other countries. Haven’t had this problem last time I used the app a week or so ago. Otherwise, good stuff!

Outrageous. This is completely ridiculous. This app just opens up further emotional insecurity’s in very young girls because it is full of young boys who as for nudes, and it doesn’t matter, you can report them but it takes forever for there to be any action from Yubo and even then the damage is already done. Who on earth thought it was okay to subject 13-17 year olds to this. You have created a platform to turn 13 year olds into sexualised young girls and all the way up to 17 year olds to question their beauty and worth based upon the approval of young boys. Plus you’re creating boys who have no respect for woman and allowing them to believe they are entitled to asking to seek nude women, how long before they decide they don’t need to ask anymore and resort to taking in their schools or their community. This is absolutely disgusting and there are no parental controls on the app so that we can try and protect our children.

Tinder vibes. Kind of feels like tinder for children. I know it has an age ranking, but unfortunately that age rank was put in a short time after people started downloading it, so just like platforms like tiktok, Instagram, Facebook. Etc. the majority of its holders are kids, and its not the safest environment to be on. A lot of it is about asking for nudes, and just people not being mature on the app. But of course I have to give it a 5 star, just for the fact that when you numbered it across with all the good things this app has, it really is a good download, I’ve made so many new friends and the majority people are usually really friendly!! Just keep your eye out and trust your gut when using this or any app!

toxic. I put in the wrong age and was annoyed by that fact me a 17 year old was getting objectified by 24 year olds. once i realised my mistake i went to change my birthday so that it was people my own age and that wanted me to “verify” i tried to but realised they wanted my id and i don’t want to give that to a random app. they deactivated my account until i verified who i was so i decided to delete my account and make a new one with the right birthday and for some reason it’s still deactivated. not happy with this at all. honestly the whole platform just makes women feel more insecure and especially young girls. boys on there only want nudes and get angry when they don’t get what they want. honestly do not support this app at all!

Fix Age Section. So I’ve recently turned 18 which now automatically puts me on the adult section. But I keep getting requests from older guys, which is starting to make me feel uncomfortable. These older guys look like they’re in their mid-20s and are faking their age. I don’t feel safe that these older men are swiping left on me. I wish I could make the settings 18-19 instead of it automatically staying at 18-20. Also, 18 year olds should still be allowed to see other 17 year olds as these 17 year olds could be turning 18 later on. I want to see ppl that are actually MY age, even if that means they’re a few months younger. I just don’t feel comfortable and safe seeing men who are older than 19 years old. You should change this about the app and give us users the option to specifically see the ages we want to see, for our own safety.

Do not use or pay for this app!. I was using this app for about 4years and I once subscribed and paid for three months like twice. As soon as my first three months finished I paid second time for to use another three months. Then I got locked for no reason I sent messages to Yubo team to help out and they only said( (we’ll get back to you). And they haven’t for about 3months. As soon as my subscription finished, then they unlocked me and I lost my money. Do not pay for this app better pay for another one!!

Account locked. After being active for a week on yubo (meaning joining lives/going live) I've had my account locked and was told to verify and after almost 24hrs of waiting for my account to be unlocked i had finally been verified. That was 5 days ago , tonight Friday 12th of February i went to join a friends live and had gotten a notification informing me i need to be verified!!!! i checked my profile and had seen that my profile had the verify tick removed and was again locked 😴 at this point im gonna delete the app because theres no point in me having an account and always verifying when I've already been verified 😡🤬

Pre good. I like the fact that you can go live, there’s some cruel people on here though Some really lovely ones as well! This app is more for dating then friends right now (I’m on there to find friends and the amount of guys who just ignore that and try anyway is sad) I did meet my now boyfriend of a year and a bit on Yubo so there’s that A couple of really good friends (back in the day when it was called yellow)

Would recommend. This app is a good way to make new friends as I have made friends from overseas and planning to meet up with them. it’s really hard to catfish on this app and if anything their account can easily get removed. however, i got a moderation alert for something dumb and they would remove photos which are appropriate, while there are other people who have photos that are way worse than mine but they keep it. but overall it’s a good app to make friends and even fall in love

frustrating af. the app it self was great, fun even until all of a sudden it decided to report me for such an invalid reason. It said my profile and/or account was inappropriate and showed signs of other people in my photos that were not myself, which i had neither showed or said in my account and profile. I deleted the app and redownloaded it numerous of times, hoping it would fix the problem. I then deleted my account in hopes of being able to make a new one. But with no such luck it was the same thing. It also has a problem wth uploaded pictures to your profile and after waiting 14 minutes i gave up.

needs to be fixed. i think the face scan to certify age feature is a good concept, however i have made multiple attempts to use it and every time it says “error” and does not let me forward. At first i gave the app the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was my internet, but it then did not work again when i knew my service was good. This is not the first time something like this has happened, i hope this issue can be resolved soon as i usually enjoy using the app and meeting new people on it. And just to clarify, i have already tried things such as standing in better lighting, different angles, tucking my hair behind my ears, etc., just in case that was the problem but it has made no difference.

Pay for people. I used to like this app, but why has it brought in this system where we now have to pay for the app? I understand that the creators may think it could be a much more profitable app but like seriously? It keeps asking for verification. So I had this app for about 6 months- and to be honest I could find no fault. I understood the cool-downs it has and the paid items- it needs money to survive and I will gladly pay to get extra boosts and all. However this last two months it has not let me into my account and keeps asking me to use another app called Yoti to verify my account. This app asks for your driving license or passport details and is not at all a safe application. I tried deleting my account and creating a new one but lo and behold- I need to verify my account before I have even used it?! My friends do not have this problem and I have tried multiple times to create and delete accounts just to get back on. I even tried sending multiple emails to the Yubo website to tell them Yoti doesn’t work- because it actually doesn’t- and that I am not a robot. It is one of the stupidest things I have come across and I cannot access the app now. Yubo, could you just stop doing this Yoti thing because many people are stuck out if their accounts and forced into an unsafe website that steals details. Please fix this ASAP. Thank you

Good but…. This app is good overall. It meets the description, yet..I find it weird how my pictures I have uploaded have become blurry even though the authentic picture isn’t. I add the same media 10 times to just make it look clear but it never ends up being clear. Please return pictures to the way use to be before! Or better yet, come out with an update that fixes pictures that make it doesn’t look blurry.

Teenage tinder but good. I personally love this app but it has its disadvantages like having to pay to see who added you and and not being able to find people in your area which I dislike and think the app should add being able to only find people in your city. I think this app is great if your child is trustworthy and not idiotic and I would make sure your child knows how it all works and the bad side like saying no to the few people who ask for nudes. Overall this app is brilliant and I love being on it and finding friends and finding a relationship.

Messages need to be fixed. When people send me messages I can see them as notifications on my phone but when I go into the app to read the messages and reply etc it doesn’t show up and I have to shut off my phone and they still don’t show up and it’s quite embarrassing to ask again what they said. Other wise a great app I’ve met loads of friends and ex’s but it’s a great app and the people who talk about nudes on this app there is but it’s there choice I personally say no but this app is great just need to fix the app

Distance slider. Although there are some down sides to the app there are some upside I I feel like it’s missing something… instead of having the option of my country first you should add a distance slider option so users scan find people in there area instead of finding others in another state or on the other side of the planet. Overall okay. Had yubo for a while and overall been a pretty good app for meeting new people and making new friends but I’ve had a couples too. I’m transgender and like to go by a certain name but with yubo you have to use your legal name which I do not like to do. And if you do not you have to confirm your identity. I’ve already been locked from using the app because I used my preferred name as my name on the app and had to change my name periodically so I could be unlocked but I have a suspicion that they will ban me again as I’ve changed my name back. But other than that no problems

Fix subscription. you guys seriously need to fix the subscriptions. I have purchased the yubo subscriptions so many times and it has taken money out of my account without giving the the desired subscription, i have then had to contact apple on separate occasions to get my refund. You charged me $60 for a $26 subscription a couple months ago and now i pay $26 then it doesn’t work, then i try again and it works but the new subscription decides to show up and i try and purchase that and then the $26 subscription comes out of my account. Age group ?. I love this app , I met my first ex boyfriend on here . But I think when you’re choosing your age you should be able to choose 1 age : eg : I’m 15 so I would choose 16 not 16-17 . While a lot of people have written stuff about child pornography that’s their choice . It’s up to them to send nudes we can’t do anything about that . Anyways I just think it’s better to be able to choose 1 age and multiple if you would like . But I don’t .

Great app+recent update. Honestly this is a great app. I’ve made 3 great friends and met one of my ex’s there. I think it’s a great idea for making friends or finding a s/o. Trash. I downloaded this app to make new friends, but people just use it to hook up. You also have to pay for features that used to be free (preference such as age, gender and country). Not worth your time or money. Use another app instead if you’re looking for friends.

confirming my identity. I was blocked from my yubo account until i confirm my identity on a second app (yori). I dont have a passport or any government ID because i never needed one but i have to use one to confirm my identity on yoti. I’m just going to delete yubo because I can’t do anything about this. He call my grandma a convincing garbage can that raccoons live out off. My grandma cried till one of her eyeballs fell out. Then we got banned from the live due to the gore and stuff. Locked so many features behind a paywall. I’ve never been too bothered by the premium features. I don’t care about pixels, seeing who swiped on me, adding people by searching, whatever. But the fact the app has chosen to lock the features of: Choosing what gender appears on swipe, the country of location for your swipe, and even AGE RANGE behind a paywall is horrendous. These have been free features for so long, and deserve to be free because of how important they are to swiping and meeting others. This app has become way too greedy

Banned. I broke my phone so I couldn’t use it for awhile. After I got a new one I went into Yubo and then i was banned. I don’t know why but now I can’t make another account.

Great app but major issues. This is a great app and I’ve met a few people on here that I’ve been friends with for awhile. Although, this app has some major problems, if there was P2W in an app like there is on games, this would be the headliner. You have to pay to make friends, you can’t swipe right more than 5 times within a certain time period or it gives a 15 minute timer, to do infinite you have to pay ELEVEN DOLLARS, PER MONTH, which is an insanely high price. Not only that but you can’t even see who’s swiped on you, you have to just go through and eventually hope you see all of them in your swipes, if you don’t, the only way to see it is with that same monthly cost as before. I get paying to boost yourself, maybe get yourself out there more or even to see who’s swiped you but limiting your swipes is absurd and it’s hugely overpriced. Not to mention the fact that everyone on there is between 13-18 so probably won’t even have a job and I doubt you’re gonna be on that app if you’re some rich superstar so idk who tf has enough money to pay for that

Used to love it. I used to love this app and made a lot of friends on it, but now the new rule Yubo implemented preventing people younger than 18 to join the lives of people 18 or older has ruined it. I had a group of friends who I’d go live with and now 3 of are friends we can’t go live with. I also had another group who were between the ages of 18-21 and it wasn’t a safety issue, but now I can’t join their live. I’m 17 I can’t join half my friends lives because half or so of my friends are 18 or older and when I turn 18 next month I won’t be able to join the other half’s lives because they’re younger than 18. I really loved this app and I have tons of friends who do too, but we’re all extremely upset over this new rule. It doesn’t make the app better like updates are supposed to, it makes it worse. The live setting that allowed you to restrict viewing age worked just fine. I understand y’all just wanna ensure people’s safety but it’s frustrating to people who have already made friends with people and can’t talk to them now. Please consider changing this rule, hopefully before I turn 18, so I can still talk to my friends who are 17 and 16. Thank you!

Frustrating!. Yubo is an amazing app to make new friends online as a teen. I was loving the app and was checking out the verification feature. I downloaded Yoti so I could get the verification star. As I was verifying, it required some sort of ID to prove my identity. Being 15, I don’t have any sort of identification to show, other than my school ID, but that wasn’t an option on Yoti. So, I didn’t go through with the verification. I could use Yubo a little bit after that but then a few days after, I was locked out of my account. On the screen it showed a message saying “Your Yubo account has been locked for security reasons, please verify your identity to unlock your account.” At this point I was extremely frustrated and annoyed! There is literally no way I could verify and I’d been locked out of my account for what exactly? Because I didn’t have the identification to verify, legally I don’t have to carry identification, so I get locked out of my account until I’m 16 and need to get my drivers license. RIDICULOUS! Now I didn’t just stop at not using the app but I decided the only thing to really do was delete my account. I go to the Yubo page where you request for them to delete your account and I put the option where it says “I no longer have access to my account and would like to delete it.” Filled out the rest of the request which required me to take a picture of some ID (giving me the option to use my school ID, which I did), a picture with the ID and me in the same picture, and a handwritten note saying “Yubo Support(current date)”. I sent in the request and they’d sent me an email. In this e-mail they’d ask me to do the same steps AGAIN! Which was super annoying considering I’d just done so. So, desperate to use Yubo again I do the process over again and nothing came of it. they said they’d delete it if I did the steps correctly then they’d delete my account for me. Still waiting. Still fed up. Wish I could use Yubo again but it doesn’t seem like it’s happening.

I got my account back.. I got my account back and everything was amazing until a few hours later so I had to go through the whole verification process cause they wouldn’t give me back my account until I did and I gave them the verification. They were asking me for then my account gets paused because I’m not 18 if you search online the minimum age to have this app is 13. I got this account the first time when I was 15. I got it back now that I’m 16 and if you look at the information for this app on here it says 16+ so with me being currently 16 about 17 on December 10 why is my account lost? Nothing happened that I know of nothing even happened. I was just checking my friend request and then my account is paused, and I can’t contact Yubo support or anything there’s nothing that they want me to do but sit and wait a whole year to use the app and it’s making me upset because I do like this app but it’s starting to be pointless for me because I love this app and I want to buy things on this app but I feel like it’s always gonna be something.

Please stop..... I loved this app as it was a way to meet new friends and cool people, I had so much fun on lives listening to people tell funny stories and embarrassing times, now everytime the app updates I have to be afraid of worried about what else is it going to try to make me pay for? First it was to see who added me so I can talk to more people and now they took away the right to swipe right on as many people as you wanted and are charging you $6 dollars a week, $10 a month and like $20 for 3 months. That’s absurd, it shouldn’t have to be monthly to meet new people, the purpose of the app says it’s to connect people around the world and make friends who would be interesting, however all I’m starting to see are money hungry developers who are driving away the diversity and people who roam this app. I have many high hopes for this app and I hope they do a 180 and decide to calm down a bit but they also separated the community in two. 18 and below and 18 and up. You cannot add or contact anyone in the other community and I think it’s absurd.

your account is going to get banned. i downloaded this app last summer because my friends had it and it looked fun, and it was fun for a while. i met a lot of people that i’m still friends with today, but there’s problems with the app that i think need to be fixed. my account has been locked so many times and as far as i’m concerned i didn’t break any of the community guidelines. everytime your account gets blocked it asks you to confirm your identity with another app named yoti. as i don’t have my id (my parents keep it with them for safe keeping) i opted for using my school id, which it said was invalid. as a result i had to delete my account that had 200+ friends. i gave up and just uninstalled the app. today i created another account, same phone number, email, name and birthdate. it was all fine.. for the first five minutes. it locked my account again. you can clearly see my face in all of the pictures i selected and i did not violate any of the community guidelines. so my question is, what is making my account be locked time and time again? i haven’t used the wrong birthdate, used content in underwear or shirtless, or used pictures or videos that did not belong to me. i am so confused and angry because my account keeps getting locked for no reason and yoti will not verify my id. i don’t know what to do anymore so i just deleted the app in frustration. if you know of any other way to stop my account being locked please let me know. second, the yoti app has like a 2 star rating and the reviews says it’s a scam, how do i know you are not going to steal my identity? the verification thing is so useless and needs to be removed. third, have you thought of giving people warnings before getting banned? for the people reading this: don’t waste your time on this app, your account is just going to get banned for no reason. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP OR YOTI.

it’s cool but ... it’s a cool app , i love meeting new people , but the more they change up rules and add features the less and less people get on, making viewers harder to find and making everyone hate the app. there’s two different communities, so you can’t hang out with your older friends which is the dumbest thing i have ever heard of. all my friends are 20+ but i’m 17 so i don’t get to join their lives, i mean who wants to join a 17 and under live ? the swipe app doesn’t work on multiple accounts, and the app changes what year you’re born in to a year that you weren’t born in. you don’t get notifications for lives or texts anymore and for a lot of people, the dms don’t work, they can receive dms but not send them. this app needs serious work and needs to listen to the people ON the app instead of the workers because making two communities is the worst thing they could’ve done for the app. ruined the app completely. as for having an iphone XS max , the screen recording option doesn’t work . they took off the option to lock rooms which makes it very difficult if you want to talk about a topic no one else needs to hear.

Nice app, cool to meet people, but.... Decent app with nice features and it’s a safe way to meet people that are your age online. Only downside that is the most frustrating thing on my phone is the notifications for when people go live. I always get notifications for when someone I added or has added me goes live and it is the most annoying thing. My notifications fill up with only that and it takes up my whole screen and goes off so often that it interrupts everything that I’m doing on my phone and it angers me to no end. It’s a cool app and has been proven so far to be pretty safe and fun, but oh my god, make the notifications for people going live STOP. No one cares so much that they need to know every second when a person who friended them starts a live. It’s annoying and useless, so please change that and it’ll be a 5 star app from me because every other feature is fine and as I said before, it’s a pretty cool app.

too strict. the app is a great idea and a great concept but yubo as a whole is too strict. whenever you’re live you are constantly on edge that you’re gonna banned for “hate speech” when trolls go around spam banning. or constantly worrying that you’re gonna be randomly yotied and you can’t go on yubo again because you don’t have an Id. for example i was live and talking with my friends and then all of a sudden i had a screen pop up saying that i needed to identify myself and luckily i have an id. but majority of the users on this app don’t have an id and can’t go back on yubo and can’t go back to their escape. because yubo is like an escape, you can talk to people and make new friends and vent to them. it truly has been a positive outlet for me and when i got banned for no reason and another time when i got yotied i felt alone and sad because i had no one to talk to. yubo really needs to loosen up and be less strict because me and many others have been getting really annoyed at this app for a long time now. YUBO FIX YOURSELF

AI FACE SCAMS??. I’m a younger looking male and Yubo requires me to use a ID just because of the way I look! This app should b illegal!! I feel like it discrimination I feel it’s illegal and I’ll be contacting my lawyers because I want to know why was banned because of the way I look....and made to present ID when my other friends use the app there the same age as me, do all the same things I do all the time with no Id required why does yubo get to pick and choose who it discriminates against !This app calls itself keeping people safe but what it’s really doing is body shaming teenagers who don’t “look there age” like that’s our faults how we look!! Major age issues on this app , IMO it need to be investigated because they are also storing a lot of people sensitive private info on there servers such as ID’s of minors which if a data leak happens can be very dangerous I do not like this app it needs to be taken down and replaced with something better less strict and hurtful to people’s feelings because we are not ALL THE SAME we should not b treated like this by a app ! No issues. I’ve had this app for a while and have had 0 issues. It’s not a whole bunch of ppl selling nudes like wizz, my profile genuinely gets pushed out and I get matches. I’m a male, 18+ and I’ve gotten a really good experience. I like that the devs work fast in solving an issue and things actually get resolved. I wish there were more ways to get Yubucks, like a daily login system. Something to incentive the consistent use of the platform. Especially incentivizing ppl for replying to messages, like 10 yubucks for every message unread new conversation you reply to. So the max you could get from each conversation being 10 yubucks. A lot of ppl use the app but don’t reply or don’t care enough to reply to others. Incentives could bring community closer and increase use time for yubo. Overall very happy with this app.

Not a good app but maybe that’s cuz I’m a girl on the app??. So I downloaded this app for maybe like less than 30 minutes. I was really looking forward to meeting new people and getting to make some friends but it feels like everyone on that app just wants to get freaky, I have a boyfriend I’m very committed to and I love very much and I’m only interested in having friends but I guess I should stick to meeting people in person🤷‍♀️. I’m really disappointed tho like everyone kept messaging me stuff like “if a flip a coin what are the chances at head x” (real message I was sent btw) and I’m like uhhh zero buddy I have a boyfriend like I just want friends, or their opening line to a chat was “omg your so hot” or whatever so I just got sick of it and deleted the app. The app design is great and easy to navigate but the people on there make it not too great…I’m glad everyone else has had good experience tho maybe it’s just a me thing? Or a girl thing? Not sure but that’s my review 😅😅💕

Too many ads/excessive banning. I understand needing to create revenue through ads, but it is very annoying when some ads literally block the entire screen and pop up every minute and other ads just open up a separate tab completely to a suspicious website. Also I got banned for alleged hate speech/symbols but have no idea what they are even referring to? Like I wouldn’t complain about some of the bans if it was genuine but if I’m getting banned for a month for something that I can’t even remember saying, makes me wonder if I made a joke out of pure satire or yubo mods are just abusing their power to sabotage certain accounts. It would not be the first time someone in the yubo HQ has abused their power as mods to silence people they didn’t like and uplift people who literally spill out fascist rhetoric on a daily basis and never get banned and only are met with warnings. But I get banned for something with no warning to the point that I can’t even recall what I actually did wrong. But we are supposed to trust the developers when they say they investigate everything. Sure lol.

Deleting profile views and Adds. So, I haven’t been using the app that long, I got it a couple of months ago and everything seemed to be normal, but then my profile views and adds were decreasing and being deleted and I was getting notifications saying that me and (this stranger) are friends repeatedly when I’ve never added those people, EVER. I contacted support and they said it’s from people being banned, so they banned 3,000+ accounts at the same time? It seems as though the app auto deletes people that you can’t accept (adds that you have to pay to see) Then on top of that, they want you to pay for everything on the app, LITERALLY. I don’t think the app is worth paying for because everyone on the app is dry, no one knows how to communicate they only want to be added on Snapchat, so y’all aren’t really missing much. However, very very rarely, you will meet someone that likes to talk, but it’s very rare.

1000 swipes. I’m happy with the seemingly unlimited amount of swipes, but it doesn’t solve the issue of many people not being able to see when people swipe right on their profile bc they refuse to pay for it. Yubo would likely be more popular if a similar system was put in play regarding the seeing who added you issue. Ex: Give people 5-10 free unlocks, for the first day, for those who add them via swipe, and make it stackable. Since that might be a bit much, then I’d suggest you all decrease the number of unlocks received per day to 2. Keep the starting number of free unlocks at 10 and allow people to get an additional 2 free unlocks per day. That way more people would make more connections and everyone using Yubo would be happier. Final Idea: The first time Yubo users log on after you implement the new free unlock system they get 10 free. 1 or 2 free each following day, BUT WITHOUT STACKING THEM. The user would have to open the app to use the 1 or 2 free that they received that day. If they do not, then they disappear until the next day comes. If that doesn’t increase our pleasure when using your product, I don’t know what will. Ultimately it’d be a showcasing of what we, the users, have to look forward to if we are to purchase more unlocks. Think about it. There’s an abundance of people to meet on Yubo and those who add us usually have some sort of interest in us, so being able to add some of them back for free would increase the popularity of the app and the conversion rate from free customers to paying customers. Without a free trial, who would know how effective that part of your product is. I hope my offer is compelling enough to implement!

Better off with another App. I want to try and review this as non-bias as possible. I simply checked this app to see if it was good or not. The app is a tinder clone, using the card swipe UI. You select friends by swiping left to get rid of them and swipe and ripe to keep them. This doesn’t make you wanna have friends but instead makes it like you’re trying to pick up a date. I would say about 90% to 95% of people on this app are not real or don’t interact at all. And out of the 5 to 10% of people multiple looking for a date and not friends. The app is heavily monetize using any way for you to spend money you know to boost your spot on their ranking system. You spend more and you come across more people that you might be able to interact with, but I spend more I mean, you can spend upwards of $100 just trying to unlock all the features on the first try. There are no communities, group exchanges, quizzes, or anything like that to allow you to actually meet people that have similar interests as you. The UI is also oversaturated and clunky. There are so many elements in your face at all times it makes it very annoying to use see app and there’s about 15 areas where it keeps on telling you people added you. You have the story add timeline you have the added at a timeline. You have to message at a timeline. You have to comment add a timeline and it goes on and on. I would just skip this app, it’s a money grab, and you will not make friends.

It’s fun but I have an idea or two.. I personally enjoy striking up conversation with all the people on the app (barring the creeps and bots and what-not, which there luckily aren’t too too many of). You get to meet plenty of interesting individuals, and you can even make buddies with some of them. You can even meet people from around the world. If your good at taking to people you’ll have fun here, no doubt. So my complaint is that why can’t I scroll to the rest of the tags on not only everyone else’s, but even my own bio (yes I’m aware you can view you tags in a menu but that’s not I’m talking about in the bio you and everyone else can see. You can’t scroll or expand it or view the entire list of tags or something of this nature)? C’mon I put those there for a reason! I wanna flex my diverse music taste, but no one can truest grasp the scope of its diverse magnitude because they can see but a fragment of my tags post-scribit my tasteful bio. And no it isn’t just my own expansive list of musicians and artist that are threatened to be known by only a fraction of their existence. I see many lists of tags be cut short by Yubo’s short coming. Whether it’s because the list itself was lengthy or the the bio was lengthy to cut short an already short list. Which seems somehow more tragic. TLDR; you should be able to scroll on the bio or something so everyone can see all the things the user meant for everyone to see. Sounds good?

SEXIST.. I’ve used Yubo off and on in the past and recently redownloaded it out of boredom. Don’t get me wrong - the app is amusing and always provides a few days of entertainment. The interface is easy to use and is very simple. However, let’s talk about moderation alerts. If you click through profiles, you’ll see hundreds of shirtless teenage boys. Many profiles have multiple, fully facing the camera with their entire torso exposed. However, as soon as a female posts a perfectly fine photo in a bathing suit, it is moderated and deleted. Not only is this sexist, but it’s incredibly stupid. If you were to go to the beach, you’d see teens of all ages, genders, and sizes in their bathing suits. Yet Yubo only allows boys to post in their bathing suits. Furthermore, this oversexualizes female minors’ bodies and tells us that there’s something wrong with wearing a bathing suit. Tell me, developers, why shouldn’t I be allowed to post a picture in a bikini top as long as I use my best judgment, am comfortable, and am fully covered? If we can see a man’s stomach, why can’t we see a woman’s? And it’s not as if only bathing suit photos are being reported. There are plenty of things such as memes with derogatory, racist, or homophobic meanings, videos showing underage drug use, false impersonations, etc. that need attention, yet only the females wearing bathing suits that they wear to the beach with their families are being caught. Beyond the obvious sexism on Yubo, the advertisements/paid products are incredibly annoying. There are seemingly millions of features that you have to pay for that make the app frustrating. There are plenty of free alternatives that are less sexist and aren’t filled with pay-for-features! I’d recommend downloading one of those and skipping Yubo. It’s 2020. It’s time we see underage females and males treated the same.

App made for disaster.. I feel like this app has gone completely down hill and the downfall needs to be studied. Someone reported that I didn’t look my age so Yubo locked my account and told me I had to verify my age to get my account back. Then I have to keep at least one photo of myself to keep it unlocked. The amount of people who have ZERO photos of themselves on the app is crazy. This should be a mandatory thing if you set your age above 18. Not just for when someone gets a suspicious report. I was told on live with a group of people that there was a 17 year old and reported it because of if I have to verify my age so should he. Yubo said they didn’t see anything wrong with what he said but his profile wasn’t verified and was set at an older age. People will have guns and drugs in their profiles or even shake their backs but me putting a bikini pic not showing anything like a chest or behind it was just a mirror pic, they take it down. Yubo is very selective with how they react to things. Don’t get me started with the blasts. People send so many pointless blasts it’s honestly embarrassing. And then when you open the message, you automatically become friends with them. That’s really annoying because I have to unfriend or block so many people. It should ask you when you open it if you’d like to be friends. Especially when the other person says disgusting stuff, Yubo just allows it. I’m glad I figured out how to turn it off but that’s only because my swipe is turned off. Such a strange app.

Slowly Improving. So far the changes have been a bit noticeable and some minor touch ups tbh at you wouldn’t know unless you use the app like crazy but I’ll go down a list to name of some improvements and the app has Made to most to least. 1. The Rewind Function This function was something that a lot of dating apps have especially if you missed that one person to friend you can always rewind the last profile you swiped on. Now In the latest update the function is now gone which is a bit of a good thing since you did need to buy a membership to use it. 2. Live System Now I don’t go into lives that much and I hardly use them but I thing what’s weird is that the layout has been completely changed the Live menu has change to pretty much have it be more simplified which is nothing wrong but feels oof it just doesn’t feel right the filters have also been moved to the 3 bars on the top left which is fine but I do miss the easy press this and filter them. 3. Free Coins One of the major problem about this app was pretty much to use the other features you had to either pay a membership for them, now all you gotta do is use some coins but at grist they felt like the only way to get them is to but them. Thank god you can now watch video Ads to earn 5 coins I know that doesn’t sound like a lot but being able to earn them this way instead of buying them is a good change plus you can also earn them from your daily streak like a login system from mobile gacha games. All around the app does need some improvement too especially towards the system when you add someone like they should make it more consistent instead of having to hope and have a chance for someone to add you back.

Fixing Security Settings. I have a lot of fun with this app considering the fact I enjoy meeting new people in which I did, but I’m frustrated with the fact that my account was security locked by the system or someone. Even if I create new accounts the only way I’ll be able to use the app is if I verify to Yoti. I understand they want keep people safe from scammers or fake users but quite frankly I don’t trust the verification system with showing your ID and it’s not an option I would like to follow to bypass the security ban. Yubo offers an option to change pictures and add new one’s but even then the ban will still be there, and from what I noticed, a lot of people tend to have this problem. I hope someone is able to help me out with not verifying my account and that I’m able to use the app again because it’s an app I actually really enjoy using.

App has safety concerns. From what I’ve experienced on this app. Not only there’s claims on this app that there are concerns about the algorithm. There are instances that there are mods on the app that are supposed to enforce rules about minors being on the same lives with legal adults over the age of 18+ . The app would ban people for explicit content but more instances than not that there’s explicit content with minors on the app that doesn’t seem to get taken down instantly. To where when the issue has been addressed but doesn’t seem that any actual actions has been taken to assess the problem. Which gives the impression that the moderators pick and choose on how to approach the situation only focuses more on favor of numbers of those who subscribe to the app when downloading it. Which begs the question: do they actually care about the users safety? Or is it just for show just for publicity and profit? Are they just telling us what we want to hear? Or are they truly honoring their guidelines? Frankly I’m uncertain that these circumstances would ever change because it seems like nothing has been done to address the hazardous situation. Which IT SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY ARROUSE CONCERN⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

Constantly changing UI and removing features for paying customers. I have had the infinity pack for a while and often travel. I would use the near me feature to find and make friends with people only in the area. When you select my country first and put the distance up to 65 miles it still mixed in other countries instead of slowly expanding your distance. When you select your country first you would expect to see people from your country up until you start running out of people in the country. When I use a hyper surge and I target my country first on a 65 mile distance I get people 8,000 miles away because apparently 8,000 = 65. America isn’t even 8,000 miles in length. Fix these features, and allow people to see the reactions they get like how spotlight used to work. I love the app but you guys are raising the price and lowering the quality. If people don’t want to be found near me, suggest that they turn their location off instead of removing it.

Locked out of my account forever. I attempted to verify my account via a school ID card since it was the only form of verification that I had. When I did so, it said that my “grade didn’t match my age”, which never made sense because it most certainly did. I tried it again, didn’t work. A third time, it didn’t work but then came a surprise…I WAS LOCKED OUT OF MY ACCOUNT! So, naturally I try and contact support and all I could find were forums, but I really wanted to talk with some support agent directly. A few months later, I try and log in again and I’m STILL locked, so of course I try and make a new account. Now, when you make a new account you’re required to verify the account with a phone number, which I tried to do but it won’t let me since it’s connected to the LOCKED account. Then an option popped up that said “would you like to log in with your phone number?” So I did. Then I log in and I was able to use the app for a few minutes when I got locked out AGAIN! I can’t create a new account, this app is unusable to me now. Horrible service and horrible technology used on this.

Great BUT.... I think that the app is a really great platform for making friends and getting to know others, especially with the different tags you can include in your bio. Gives you an insight as to what the person you’re viewing might share in common with you interest-wise. I’ve had an overall positive experience on this app but my biggest issue is as follows: !! The methods of accessing people’s requests. I have over 200 untouched requests that require me to share a link on snapchat and per every person that clicks, I can access ONE SINGLE REQUEST. Do you guys understand how absurd that is? No one has enough friends to do this, much less ones that would even bother to click the link all on its own. I think this shouldn’t be a thing AT ALL but if it must as a form of promotion, it should be done so in an easier more openly accessible method. !! That one issue is precisely the reason I cannot give this app 5 stars. Apart from this issue, I love yubo.

Review. This app is really fun and cool, to being able to go live and making new friends. The premium is where we get into a quarrel. I understand most of the perks of getting premium but having to pay to see most of your friend request and to see who views your profile. Some people may be curious to see who views their profile and a friendship could bloom from that. The having to pay to see who added you is unreasonable. This app is all about making friends and making memories, but people can’t do that if they are not able to see all of their friend request. It feels like a part of why people download the app is being hidden from us and not everyone can access that part. Other than being a awesome app, the premium kinda takes away from us being able to truly have the full experience of making friends.

Good app but…. So it’s really fun app. You get to meet a bunch of people. I just have one suggestion. Not many people (especially teens) can’t afford the like unlimited version or whatever. You can’t see the people who friended you. So it’s really had to find people through swiping. I have a few people who friended me but I can’t look at them and start talking. It’s really annoying because I can’t afford the thing so I can see them. The only way is if I randomly find them on swiping which is unlikely. I would be able to make so many more friends if there was a way to see who friended me. So my suggestion is either make it so you can at least see who friended you or have like a once a week thing that lasts for a day where you can see everyone who friended you. Though the makers of the game probably won’t read this or care if they do, I would really like to see who friends me.

Can barely use the app. A friend suggested this app to me. So I figured I’d give it a shot. Really enjoy the layout upon opening the app. It’s fairly smooth. The Signing up process is pretty thorough. I commend the extra steps in having to sign up for the simple fact it decreases chances of bot profiles. The “tag” feature is amazing. It allows me to share the things I love down to the last detail. Now you may be wondering why 2/5 stars? 1 is for the suggestion from the friend, and the other is what I explained above. The missing stars are due to me not being able to actually enjoy the app itself. Upon making/editing my profile I go to try seeing who’s in my area (looking for gaming friends), and it says there’s no one in my country, and no one is showing up on the “Live” feed. I’ve tried everything. Refreshing location (both ways), deleted the app and even did a redownload. Nothing works. So now I have an app that I can barely use. Which is sad because I started really getting into the features it offered.

annoying bugs. Very fun app but every time I try to change my profile pictures it completely zooms in on my face so the only thing you can see is my forehead and eyes. I’ve tried cropping the photo multiple times but i can’t seem to figure the problem out, it’s very frustrating. I’ve also noticed that every update says bug fixes but i really haven’t noticed my bugs being fixed. I’ve been banned from live at least 3 times because it says I have inappropriate content which I completely don’t. There is not one picture on my profile that has anything inappropriate and i’ve never don’t anything inappropriate while on live. People just like to troll but when it tells me to change my profile pictures it still doesn’t let me back into the app. I’ve noticed while scrolling through my messages i’m not getting any notifications for when people text me. I scroll through and find people months ago that texted me and i never saw the notification. Honestly this app is getting way more complex and complicated then it can handle and bugs and glitches are over flowing and never getting fixed. Scrolling through the reviews of this app and i’m realizing every single review is people complaining about the problems they have been having. And I realize my comment sounds exactly like everybody else’s and nobody is ever gunna read this essay of a review and i’m just wasting my time but i just need to explain my point of view but yea i hope you at least fix some of the problems thx.

This scam app will send you notifications of people texting you that are just the developers to be able to ramp up payments and funds making people believe they are messaging them but really its the people who made the app doing the messaging for the people like you who create the account , this app is a scam , those people you get text from out of nowhere but it tells you to pay? Its a scam and scum , its just the app, i talked to multiple women and told multiple "thank you" because they swiped up and complimented one of my pictures and then they replied to me with "what are you talking about?" and so after a bunch of conversation conversations, they all end up saying the same thing they had a bunch of men always say thank you but they never know why and it's because the app is sending messages and we have screenshots and videos for it. Putting together a lawsuit bc whoever the CEO is doesn't even realize this is suable lol. Watch for "matthew vs Yubo Inc."

App goes from Great to terrible. Back then the app used to be free and FUN now all of a sudden they’re charging you for everything if you want to swipe on a specific gender age range and distance so if you a girl and you want to swipe on only guys girls are going to show up on the swipe and guys if you want to swipe on girls only guys are going to show upIf you want to choose your swipe option you will need to pay for it back then this used to be for free also when you’re live if you title the live something they don’t like they’re going to make you rename the live again and you can’t do certain things on live anymore like how are used to be back then it used to have more freedom and now I feel like a parent is watching me The app needs to go back to its old ways how are used to be fun to use for hours nowadays you can’t even be on the app for an hour without it getting boring I feel like this app only cares about trying to make money that’s why this app is going to go out of business if they keep caring about money money money yes you can charge for some things but not everything make the swipe option free and make the lives more for adults

too strict but not strict enough on bullies. i have come into contact with disrespectful people more than once including a guy named chucky who was 40 YEARS OLD and on yubo. yet i get my account locked and cant unlock it because i don't have any sort of id. this is not fair. chucky is a bully, has told people to unalive themselves along with many MANY more things yet i get locked? and he doesnt even get banned? lets repeat. HES 40 and you apparently "kick people off the app after theyre 25" yet he is 40 with 4 kids and a WIFE but you choose to lock an 18 year olds account bc he reported me. lets remind that when he finds a girl who he likes but doesnt like him back, he will spam report them until their account gets banned or locked. and this happened to me thanks to him and it also happened to my sister. and some other girls that ik from yubo in our group. too strict but not strict on the right things? you say this is a safe place. but it isnt. chucky told my friend to unalive herself and kept bullying her for who knows how long. not safe too strict but also not strict enough.

Enabling P*do Behavior. I used to use Yubo during the pandemic and I will admit, I met a few good friends on the app. However yubo has became more and more lax about age restrictions. When I used the app before I wasn’t able to talk to anyone with an account age over 18, but now that I’ve opened the app again it seems that is no longer a feature. Yubo referred me to add many people and 80% of them were 17 or younger. Under no circumstances should an app about “friendship” include grown adults messaging minors. Not to mention the similarities that yubo shares with other dating apps. Yubo capitalizes off of minors that aren’t old enough to download tinder and in return enables adults to come in contact with these children on an app for “making friends”. Anyone that has been on the app knows that it’s just a dating app that’s not listed as one to avoid an age restriction in a market that they are aware would and still will grab the attention of minors. Make the app 18+ or delete it. Your app is crumbling already with the new amount of monetization now that it isn’t profitable anymore.

location algorithm. this app is okay, and while there is a bit of problems here and there, this is a relatively new app, so we can’t promise perfection right away. however, one of the problems i find really major is, you guess it, the location settings. for swiping, i set my location distance to 18 miles, and i live an hour away from philly, so you’d figured to get people within that radius (essentially southeastern pa). but nope, this app gives me people from California, Washington (state), Florida, etc. how am i gonna want to plan to meet these people if i physically can’t even meet them by means of travel? not that i would ever want to meet them in person or anything, but if i ever wanted to. and i know you guys are like “if we run out of people we will go further” but cmon you can’t tell me there are limited people in my region especially if it’s an 18 mile radius (which is pretty far imo) when i know people from my town who have the app. again, you guys are new, but this is definitely one of the things that needs to be worked on ASAP.

Needs a lot of work.. One of the main problems I’ve noticed is the swiping algorithm once you turn 18+. They do Not want your profile to pop up at all, or rarely. When I was under 18 I’d get a lot of matches, then the day I turn 18 I little to no matches. The only way for your profile to pop is is literally if you buy boost, which in itself is pretty expensive for 5. I’d get 30-40 matches in 30 minutes. But the problem itself isn’t this only. So let’s say you buy the boost package for 5, you want to start swiping as much as possible, right? Wrong. 10 minutes in and it’ll say you now need to put another 10 bucks for the “power package” in order to be able to keep swiping. The app is trying to drag every penny out of you. Why not just run ads instead? Sure you can have premium features to buy, but please invest more time in these features. The limited amount of swipes is pretty ridiculous because if you just choose to buy the boost itself it’s worthless. And this app clearly wants to segregate you based on age and your forced to by the boost of you want to make friends and get matches.

Good app but needs fixing. I’ve been a user for some time, I found this app when it was called yellow. One of the problems I’m having is it says I have chats but all of them are open. The second someone new messages me old messages appear and by the time I reply, that person doesn’t want to talk because I replied so late. The other day I got a message from someone who sent that 3 months ago. Now the other thing I dislike and others seem to dislike is having the pay to swipe on people. I understand the limit but isn’t this app made for finding friends and new people to chat with? I want to say about 50% of the users are teens and most of us teens don’t have money. I love the app.. it’s great. It has those toxic group of people who bully others which I hate but other than that I like the app. I just dislike how I have to pay to swipe on more people. Just have us watch ads in between swipes or give a limit per day or week. Don’t make us pay :( I just want to make friendsssss 🥺

Swiping function. I understand that apps and such need money in order to stay afloat, but this is ridiculous. You expect teenagers to pay 7 dollars a week just to try and make friends that are not even guaranteed to be life-long or even last longer than a month. If you want your app to be popular and actually user friendly, then take away the payment portion of the app so we can actually see who added us as a friend. For the people who might read this comment, yeah, you have to pay in order to see who added you as a friend. Sure, you can send the link to friends and you can reveal who added you based on the number of people who opened the link, but that’s not only embarrassing but also frustrating. Again, if you want your app to actually be functional and well liked, then take away that payment option. If you’re so desperate for money, use advertisements in between swipes or when you’re scrolling through the recommended friends list.

Yubo locking. Hey so the thing about my account is that I have been verified I’ve also submitted a request to re-verify myself because my account was locked I’ve also requested for the third time now I’ve been a user for two years typically live most of the nights I’m up And I also can’t get a response from yubo when I email my issues this has been going on for longer than the 24 hour wait.. I’ve been rejected my request for the second time and this has never happened. This is an amazing app however I feel like yubo is taking too long. I’ve been told that there have been more verification requests in the past couple days but my friends account was locked AFTER mine and unlocked BEFORE mine. A response would be helpful from whoever. Email or anything that I can reach out to about the problems I’m facing. Appreciate it. Still getting my best rating although it’s been a while.

can’t do anything w/o paying. i can barely do anything on the app because i’m not willing or able to pay to get the full experience. it’s ridiculous that you have to pay to see who added you. it makes it 100x more difficult to make friends. it’s especially frustrating that this app would be so awesome without all the rip-offs. there’s so many people my age that are just the right kind of crowd, yet it’s so hard meeting these people when you can’t even see who added you. PLEASE change this. let me see who added me so i can actually meet people, which is supposedly the purpose of this app!! the problem isn’t even that there’s extra things you can buy with real money, it’s the fact that you can ONLY have a satisfying experience by paying a lot of money. i mean, you can’t even earn yubo coins (that allow you to do a lot of things), you have to buy them. my suggestion is that -and this is the least you can do- make it so that you can earn yubo coins by doing certain things, being active, etc. yubo would be an amazing app if it didn’t have so many limits to the free experience.

Awful Money Grab, Awful Design. To see who added you you have to pay money. To see who reacted to your photos you have to pay. To add people near you, you have to pay. Every now and then I get a reaction to my photo and can’t see who it is, but they all say “Hey”. Clearly bots trying to entice you into paying to see who it is. The swiping is a mix of women who are halfway across the country and women who are somewhat nearby, if you consider 25 miles close. No option to turn off push notifications for “Live invites”, which are basically people who are live-streaming. If for some reason you watch an ad for free coins or whatever it’s called, the ad is literally 5 minutes, unskippable unless you close the app completely. Biggest nanny app ever, constant doubts from the site on whether you’re really who you say you are. Intrusive Facial biometrics just to sign up. For all this suffering I can’t post shirtless pics, they will delete them. Complete garbage app. I’d have more success meeting people at a bar, and I don’t go to bars or meet people.

Pretty good app, but…. So I started using this app a while ago. I thought that the live streams feature was cool so I hopped in some and talked. Turns out there are a lot of people who have weird behavior who just made me uncomfortable. They do have a policy which prevents bullying and harassment. However, it’s not strict enough. If they’d somehow make it so that inappropriate terms would be silenced while voice chatting, that would make people like me more comfortable with using this app. A social dating app aimed towards people who are 13+ must have really strict rules. That way, it would make people more comfortable with using the app. If you have installed the app just to find someone to chat and not to live stream, then go ahead and install it. There may be some people who have nasty attitudes but you can just ignore or report them. However, if you aren't very social, DO NOT join the live streams. Those people will mess you up real bad.

“Pay-to-play”. This app used to be so great back in the day. I would spend hours, and I sincerely mean so many hours, swiping and chatting and whatnot. But now I can’t do a single thing without having to pay. I can’t swipe on more than 900 people a day? Just yesterday that number was 1000, and even that’s ridiculous. This app is so fun to use and just relax with because it’s basically Omegle without the hassle. Don’t get me wrong, I still love it. I met my current boyfriend on this app and now we’re moving in together and we’re really solid, but still. It’s not only a dating app; meeting people and talking to them is still nice. It just feels like one of those games you have to pay to win, like Clash of Clans. It’s really annoying because this app used to be just so much fun. It got ruined because the devs felt the need to jack up their development costs. And the “power ups” are ridiculous. Stop it with this lol. Bring the old app back. Also Yubo is literally the weirdest name ever. Just bring yellow back 🤦‍♂️ smh

The community is awful. The app itself has the potential to be wonderful, but it seems to have drawn the wrong crowd. Homophobic, racist, idiots run free on this app. While you’ll probably make a friend of two, wading though the sea of toxicity isn’t worth the time. Everyone is incredibly sexual, it’s beyond disgusting. You won’t find intellectually stimulating conversation here. You’ll find drug users, people looking to hook up, and close-mindedness, with a mean-spirit as the cherry on top. I joined a live stream recently, in hopes of meeting some new people, instead, I was verbally assaulted with incredibly sexual comments. When did this become okay? What does this spell for humanity? It’s a dopamine sucking, mind-numbing, mess of the rudest people you’ll ever find. Don’t get this app. It’s not with it AT ALL. I’m 16, so I’ve mainly seen the minor side of the app, maybe the 18+ users are different (although I sincerely doubt it, the live streams suggest otherwise). Find something else to do with your time. Discord is far superior for making friends. I recommend virtually anywhere else.

This app is a scam. I don’t like this app for many reasons. 1. They locked my account multiple times for “security reasons” when I haven’t even been doing anything suspicious and they did this randomly right after I bought a turbo pack for 14$ (I’m in desperate need for friends) they’ve take over $100 of my money and I want a refund. They’ve also haven’t responded to any of my emails since November 5th. I emailed them about not being able to see any of the people who swipe on me, like it just disappeared it said I had 0 people who’ve swiped on me. When I emailed them about this they did not even try to respond to me. I read on Reddit that many people have been having the same big problem. 2. When I went to the app “Yoti” to get my account unlocked I used my moms valid drivers license and it was declined. I heard this app was a scam to get your money. And I don’t understand how other people on this app have a verified account..??? This app is honestly terrible and I’ve had some terrible experiences with the quality and people. Thank you 😐.

I got locked for no reason ya no f this app. So this app is good. I like it a lot and it’s super easy to make friends. But if your super young like me I’m 13 and you get locked out your account you can’t really do anything. Like we’re old enough we just look super young and then we get locked out our accounts and it’s pretty annoying. Cause I made a lot of new friends and now I got locked and I can’t get unlocked. so that’s the only thing and now I can’t even use the app. So if there’s anyway I could unlock it Imk but other than that the app isn’t that bad actually pretty dope just didn’t like how I got locked and some other account glitches Ya pretty terrible about that glitch Yubo please fix your app Ya no terrible because I have no way to unlock my account and I’m old enough to use it idk why I got locked. Really good app, unnecessary and dumb verification requirements. I love this app and have been using it since it came out as yellow, but they are now requiring me to verify with the dumb Yoti app. To verify you must provide any sort of Id like a drivers license. This app was made for 13-17 year olds, most of the people that are 16 and under don’t even have any sort of identification so how are you supposed to identify yourself?? I know a lot of other people this is happening to. Emailed the yubo team but they just send automated messsges back everytime that are no help at all, I need a actual person to help not a bot. I even pay for the subscription for yubo monthly. It’s impossible for me to verify because I’m 16 and have no id or access to any, and you can also use a school id but my school has never given us access to a school id or a physical school id so it is virtually impossible for me to use yubo now unless they unlock my account. It is ridiculous and unnecessary and no one from yubo is helping. I suggest they take away the requirements of a Yoti verification like it was before or they will lose a lot of their active users.

Bullying, Scammers, Weird People. I had this app when I was in highschool 4 years ago during covid. I remember it beng full of bulling, scamming, and just pure hate. I met my first boyfriend on there 4 years ago, and he was very abusive. But anyway, that's not the app's fault really. However, I decided to try it again this week as a 21 year old and all I can say is it's the exact same as it was 4 years ago. Constant toxicity and I mean constant. The scammers are out of control. I included my snapchat on my profile so that I don't have to pay a fortune to meet friends, and I got 5 scammers adding me a day, all very old men, asking for banking info and offering money for "services". I know this is normal on other apps, but it's excessive on yubo. I'd say the worst part of all are the lives. They aren't monitored. People go live publicly and then when you join their live they click on your profile and start insulting you in front of everyone else on the live. They get mad if you join and wanna talk, which makes no sense because why go public and then get mad for someone looking. All in all this app is just a hot bath full of drama and trouble.

I love the app but... Yall take EVERYTHING I DO DOWN.. I posted two different edits and yall took it down for nudity and one was a whole MTV cartoon.. this is exactly why I feel like apps don't need to use AI because there're too many flaws and nobody's doing anything to fix anything.. I can't put anything in my bio or profile without it being flagged which is crazy that I can't even post a picture of me at the pool with only my face and above my chest showing.. I'm a 22 year old woman who's being limited to things as if I were a child.. I can't get on tinder and bumbl or things like that because I'm not looking to date anyone but I shouldn't have to be treated like a child on an app where children and adult profiles don't even cross.. it doesn't match or make sense.. I'm thinking about deleting soon because it's just not gonna work.. like taking down my cartoon was where I KNEW yall system was flawed. And yall have no one to contact or report about it so ACTUAL PEOPLE can look through it to see if it's appropriate or not

Ad watch? maybe. :). i really love the app, it’s a great way to connect with and find new people but i think that it’s way too hard to actually add people back once it’s from the swipe category unless you buy the swipes or send a link and get more than one person to open it at a time. I think a better way to do this for people to actually be able to add people who swipe on them would be you could add an option where you could put in ads for the user to watch to receive unlocks on the people who’ve swiped? i feel like it could be affective :) because sometimes people aren’t able to but the unlocks whether it’s because they don’t have the money or aren’t able to because of some kind of situation going on for them so if you added the ad watch feature to gain unlocks it might help a lot of people and be easier to add them back :)
