AVOID THIS APP!!!!!!. The app has third parties and indirect consumers do make fake 4 or 5-star reviews because the entire country can see the type of scam they are playing. You will have much better luck at utilizing a direct rental car agency or Costco-Travels program. This app and its “supporting” customer service is absolutely terrible. You only get responses via email, no phone number. This app just needs to go!!!!! They false advertise “free cancellation” and that you will get a “full refund”. They are LIARS, plain and simple. They can’t help when you ask simple inquiries. They lie to you in email about when you get your “full” refund and it’s only and always a partial refund you get back (never a “full” so that’s where they make their money). It has been over 8 DAYS now and I still have not gotten my money back and that’s sad. Apparently it’s up to 10 business days but they all kept telling me it would only take 5. They don’t value their work and skill level. I’ll leave it at that. I will continue to make review for the app so people see the truth of the matter.

Do not use unless you want to get scammed. I’m a college student on very low budget, for god’s sake. I saved up to go on a trip to California and am under 25, so I was trying to find a website that had the lowest “young renter’s fee”. This company claimed to have cars with “fee waived”, so I rented from here. They charged my card $100 at the time of “rental”, which I had to pick up from Hertz. But when I got to Hertz, they hadn’t even heard of the freaking company and hadn’t received any payment from Carla, so I have no idea where my $100 went. They were also charging me a young renters fee and had no idea how Carla made that claim. This company has no customer service number and do not respond to customer service messages either. I was literally standing at Hertz crying because I had just gotten off a 7 hour flight and lost $100 and on top of that didn’t have a car. I have no idea how people just feel comfortable scamming people but kudos to their lack of moral compass.

Terrible terrible service. Auto booked something w/o asking & won’t refund w/ 3 day notice. I’m not hard to please, this is my first time reviewing anything but I had a terrible experience with them and their customer “service” response team. Somehow something got booked without me doing anything on the other side of the country, when I saw the email for this the next day I reached out to support to get a refund for this (still 3 days to go before the rental time). I explained that nothing was even showing up in the app to cancel, but the customer service person responded with “sorry you can only cancel in the app” even though I had just told them it’s not showing up in the app. Now the customer service is being unresponsive. Took $100 from me that I never even booked, just from signing up. Would rate zero stars if I could 👎👎👎. Will advise anyone I know looking to rent to stay away from Carla

Beware! They will rip you off!. I was in the process of renting a car through the app and paying via affirm when the app closed out. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to open. I went through the process again and to my dismay saw that somehow the first car rental became approved and I now had TWO cars booked. I emailed them, and affirm and cancelled the first rental right away (my address wasn’t even correct because I had not gotten that far). I then did a rental with my correct information and when I went to get the car was told that rental companies do not accept virtual payments. That’s all I had since I was paying through affirm. I then cancelled that rental. I got emails right away stating that the cancellation had been received. Two days later I get two emails that I can not get a refund but have been given “Carla cash”. This is basically store credit. Credit that won’t he honored ANYWHERE. And they will not return the TWO loans. So I now owe almost $1000 for two cars. One that I NEVER COMPLETED THE APPLICATION FOR, and another that no one would honor.

Contacting them when you need them is nearly impossible. 2 months ago I went to San Fran and rented a car, I had purchased Carla’s insurance (Protection Plan) on that covered the cost of damage to the rental car “Regardless of who was at fault”. There was unfortunately an accident. The other vehicle and I are fine. I contacted Carla literally an hour within the accident. No reply. Contacted them a week later when MY insurance couldn’t get in contact with them. Now they replied but said they only covered up to $500 (thought that wasn’t directly on the page where you put the protection plan) of the damage, I sent over all the information. They said they’d work on it. Didn’t hear back. I assumed we are done. Fast forward 2 months later. Now I get contacted by the other parties insurance because Hertz / Thrifty is trying to get them to pay, because not only did Carla not pay, no one can get a hold of Carla. So to prevent the situation from escalating, I contact Carla again to see what went down, where the created a ticket. But I’ve spoke to no actual human.

Very helpful. I live in a city where transportation is a necessity and sometimes I might need to leave or have a different situation where I have people visiting in the city and I would need an extra car for a couple of days, the app is very helpful and it is very easy to use and the tinder-type feature is actually quite cool and I like it. It showed me various options from various prices and it was such a comfortable tool. I loved using and exploring the app and I am sure you will too, there is all kinds of cars within your area and you can change the distance based on how far away you can pick up your car, the prices are all decent and there’s always a car available so you wouldn’t have to worry about that. Very awesome and recommend this app to everyone that needs to rent a car.

Don’t do it!!!!!. I am officially out almost $300 for a rental I never used. Both the app and initial customer service interactions seem legitimate and professional. I’m sure it may even be to an extent, assuming that you change nothing and your initial travel plans come off perfectly. As we all know these days, that is certainly the exception not the rule.I had the misfortune of making multiple reservations with Carla, getting a great rate, and then having events canceled. When I contacted Carla to change my reservation or get credit or a refund, they were incredibly difficult, did not respond at all, or simply told me no refund or credit was available; pound sand. These days airlines, hotels and just about everyone else in the travel industry understands that refunds and credits are just part of the new normal, but this company clearly doesn’t care and has no interest in taking care of its customers who are still trying to travel and support their industry during the pandemic. The cheap prices are definitely not worth the risk and suspect business practices in my opinion

Awesome service!. I travel between cities very often, carla made my life more convenient, with carla i didn’t have to worry about paying expensive insurance fees, filling up the gas nor having to wash the car. Once you book the car, you get it on time and the service is beyond what you were expecting, i like how easy it is to get the car as it’s hassle free, and even better once you give it back the staff are reasonable and comprehensive. The price is way cheaper than other car services and the cars are really in an excellent condition.. You will never have to worry if your car broke down in the middle of no where, the inside and outside is brand new and clean always, interior smells good and fresh You guys have redefined car rental , keep up the great work.

Stay away, not a trustworthy company. Went trough the reservation process, provided my credit card, received a confirmation number at the end, sent an email to the support department, asking about the process of picking op the vehicle and the response after a few hours was that the vehicle was not available with the provider buy that they could offer me the same vehicle at a higher price with a different company. Not a huge difference, only $60 more for the whole time, but to me that kind of behavior is unacceptable. If the provided a confirmation number and there was no disclosure about the need of a separate email to confirm the reservation, they must honor the original reservation. On top of that while I was discussing the situation with the support team, went back to the app and tried to make another reservation and they still have the same offer that they where saying they did not have available. It is obviously a misleading practice to pray on customers.

Buyer beware - total actual rental car cost could increase significantly. Be aware that per Carla’s terms and conditions rental car companies can charge significant additional fees on top of the total amount Carla quoted you. This completely caught me by surprise when I recently booked a one-way rental via Carla for 1 day when the rental car company increased my total cost by 60% by adding a one-way fee. When reaching out to Carla customer service to inquire about the significant delta to what they had quoted, they pointed simply to their terms and conditions (the fine print most of us don’t read unless you click on a hyperlink at the time of booking) which states that car rental providers might add further charges for local fees etc.. The outcome for me is that I can’t rely on the total cost quoted by Carla, as the rental car companies might (or might not) charge additional fees on top. What is the value add of a service provider to facilitate comparison shopping of rental cars, when you can’t trust the numbers?

I am suing these people for charging even after returning car , join along to file a complaint!. It’s very worse don’t even download this app they charge the same as the other rental companies but they make it look like they are charging less by not showing any additional fees like underage fee or deposit fee or any other you are taking this worse. I have been charged $2400 for a month rental and guess what the Carla just mentioned it to be $800. This is a big scam and one more issue is that all other rental companies allow you to drop off early and refund the amount back. But these Carla people don’t I have paid $19 every month to take the VIP membership and still not one day it was of use they don’t pick up soon or reply back, their service is very bad. *** if you wanna rent tension free , rent from other places but not this they have very bad service and unfair tactics to get customers***

Complete and Total rip-off. Avoid this App like the plague!. I attempted to rent a car through the App. Received no confirmation email. I could not verify the reservation either through the app or wit the rental car company itself. A week before my scheduled trip, I checked the reservation through the app, and I find not only has the vendor changed (from National to Hertz) but the confirmation number has changed and the rental location is no where near the airport. In attempting to cancel the reservation using the app's own function, I repeatedly get the message that the confirmation number is not valid. And, of course, no customer service phone number and no response to emails. I'm going to make it my mission in life to put these scam artists out of business. Beware Carla. She will take your money and leave you heartbroken! UPDATE I received an email explaining that they had manually cancelled my reservation. Providing no charges appear in my bill, I'll accept their attempt to mollify me and appreciate the service.

Wonderful apps. This Carla apps is really good for car rentals. It has many useful options that helps me to get amazing and easy way to rent A car. This has help menu which makes it easy for my niece to operate. I was really surprised to find A rental near me and very awesome self explanatory and easy to use navigation that provided in that app which helps me find my nearest location to see and rent A car that I wanted in my location, that is really wonderful. I use most of similar apps like this to rent but they have problems with so many things. So, I decided to look for A solid apps in the App Store. Carla car rental app ranks top 100 on US App Store in travel category with 4.7 star rating which is very high across travel apps. I have seen so many reviews about Carla car rental app with 5 star rating which is makes that apps being legit also that apps has wonderful rating on other site too. Carla car rental app gets thousands of reservations worldwide every day. They have lot of different option that you can choose what you wanted they have cars, trucks, suvs and many more. I just love this app!!!!

DO NOT USE! FRAUDULENT. I booked a rental through them at Hertz and I got the peace of mind protection. Hertz increased their security deposit to $500 and I decided not to use the rental. I immediately sent a message to Carla letting them know I didn’t rent the car and to refund me. I didn’t hear anything for 2 days. I sent a service ticket and was told not to worry I’d get a refund since I had the peace of mind coverage. I didn’t receive a refund and contacted them again. I was then told I rented the car so I can’t receive a refund. I advised them I never rented the car and forwarded the original email advising I’d receive a refund and the rep apologized and asked if I wanted a credit or a refund. I advised I wanted a refund and when I said refund I received a message saying they’re INVESTIGATING my claim and forwarded to the correct department. WTAF! It’s now been 3 weeks and they’re no longer responding to my emails (although they’re reading them). Do not use this app it’s absolutely fraudulent and I’m being forced to file fraud charges with my cc because they refused do what’s right. SHAME ON YOU CARLA!

User friendly!. I recently had the pleasure of using the Carla Car Rental app for a trip, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. From start to finish, the app was incredibly user-friendly and intuitive, making the process of renting a car so much easier than it used to be. The variety of car options available was also impressive, and the prices were very reasonable. But what really stood out to me was the exceptional customer service. I had a few questions about my reservation and the support team was quick to respond and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience with the app and the car rental process as a whole. SCAM/THEFT/BEWARE!!. I booked a week long car rental a week ago… about 10 minutes later I tried to cancel. But they’d only refund 1/2 the deposit. So I decided to keep it. I called the rental place this morning to let them know we would not be able to get the car until an hour later than what o scheduled for. She informed me they had ZERO reservations for today and that they had nothing In their records for a car rental. I’m fact they didn’t have nor have they ever had the vehicle “Carla” said I was getting. So I had no car and out over $300!!! There is no phone number. All they are offering is “credit”. Firstly. I will never ever use this app again. Secondly I had to go to another rental agency and drop another $900 They are a SCAM!!! This is theft. Stole my money. Absolutely WRONG AND UNETHICAL. I will make it my mission to leave bad reviews everywhere. Until I get my money back! Shame on you and your employees. The hundreds of online reviews proves I am not the only victim!

Fastest car rental. When you travel a lot taxi expenses add up and become way more than it’s actually worth and at that point, you should just rent a car. That’s why I really love Carla it makes it super easy for me to just pickup and drop off whenever it’s convent for me. I love the easy to use convent app and the low prices. The swiping yes or no for a car is a fun new feature that I really do appreciate when choosing my car. I’ve never had any problems with Carla and their customer service is amazing when I needed to change a few things I definitely recommend them if you’re a frequent traveler like me and even if not. Definitely the cheapest and definitely the best.

Scam app. I was planning on going to Orlando and I searched car rentals on google, and this app popped up saying that it will give discounts. After I downloaded the app I look for a car to rent, and every day i kept getting these emails saying that there are huge discounts on the cars, so I trusted them and proceeded to rent a car for $167 but when I put in my credit card number the price changed to $245. After I tried to reach out to them by phone and they did not give me the answer I was looking for which left my question unanswered. I called a second time and I asked them why the price of the car changed they said do not worry about it. After the day I landed at Orlando after I went to car rental place and they said they knew nothing about “Carla” and even after that I rented the car for a much greater price, but they still charged me extra $20 for nothing. This is a total scam, I do not recommend this.

Avoid this total Rip-off. My first time using what seemed like a good service. I was wrong. At every step Carla asks for a review and tries to add more charges. I looked carefully to remove all of them except something called Carla’s Plus that didn’t have that option at checkout. My $107 car rental became $169 to pay at a counter. What counter? This is an app. My promised pick-up car within 4 miles changed to a 17-mile trip and return to the airport My car options was one - an Economy size EV without being asked. Then $28+ in extra fees for no reason. $19 for Carla’s Plus, whatever that is. A $9.60 prepayment that was added instead of subtracted from my bill. All these changes were sent by email after booking thru the app. Thank goodness I chose to get notifications by email instead of text. Also I took screenshots while booking just in case I needed to support any dispute and demand for a full refund. Which I did within seconds of getting their email. Another email said their refund policy is 50% if cancelled at least 48 hours beforehand and didn’t include their service fee even if you purchased their trip insurance. First time they said any of this. I booked Carla less than 24 hrs before needing the car. Bottomline, it’s all more hidden charges to make sure they get and keep all your money. Well Carla - wrong answer. There are consumer protection laws you will hear about soon. This recent and HONEST review is posted to stop more victims.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING. I reserved a car through Carla. Paid the portion they require up front. Red flag 🚩 1) Instead of charging my card for the one charge they mentioned when booking, they charged my card twice! I arrive to the rental place, upon arrival they’re telling me they can’t honor my reservation because that place doesn’t honor same day reservations. So essentially Carla allowed me to book a car that I couldn’t pick up. I reached out , I asked for a refund and was offered a credit. I refused the credit and disputed it with my credit card company. I was told a supervisor would get back to me about a refund. They never did, instead the same person I spoke to initially contacted me again saying they couldn’t give me a refund. If you go to their site they have a section that states they have a “Peace of Mind” policy that you pay for when booking through them. That policy states if you have any issues at the counter when getting the rental they’ll provide you an immediate refund. They’re not honoring that. I have proof of everything so I will be fighting this charge tooth and nail! Im not paying for a reservation that I couldn’t even get. Their site allowed me to book and pay for a reservation that the company couldn’t honor. That makes no sense. This company is quick to take your money and slow to resolve your issues and refund you. Take heed to this fact and save yourself the trouble !

A Nice App That Will Steal Your Money with Terrible Customer Service. I used this to book a rental, and then cancel my reservation. When canceling, I had the option to pay a $5 fee on my refund or get the full amount credited to my account for my next reservation. I chose to get the credit, because I knew I’d use the app again. However, On my next reservation I did not get the credit applied, and when I emailed, the support told me they cannot apply the credit and that I need to email them before my next reservation to get it applied. I asked for a way to confirm that it’s on my account, or my money back so I don’t have to wait for them to respond to my email, but they told me they were sorry that they cannot help me with a refund and to email when I am getting my next rental, which is unacceptable when you have someone’s money. The time came for me to rent a car again, and I reached out to get my credit applied, however got no response. I tried again, no response. I tried calling, a few times and left messages with my call back number...no response. It’s been over 3 weeks of me waiting for them to confirm my credit before making a reservation, and the rental I was planning for next month has gone up $400. So today, I just bite the bullet and made the reservation, hoping I get my credit. Nope! Just spent an extra few hundred $$ and still didn’t get my credit due to this customer service.

Great app. This is a great app. It’s very helpful and easy to use. I highly recommend. It searches through multiple sites to make sure that you get best deal you possibly can. The reservation process is also easy to use. Just simply put in your pickup location, date, and time and the same for your drop off. It also shows you the cars with the prices to choose from. You’re able to swipe through to browse. Swipe left if you don’t like it and swipe right if you do. I’m sure a lot of us are used to that concept. It’s fun to use, which makes the process a lot easier. Once you find a car that you’ve decided to swipe right on, it will lead you to sign in or sign up. It also gives the option to not only choose a car seat, but which size. You can choose between infant, toddler, and child. It also has coronavirus cancellation protection, which is comforting considering all the changes that can happen because of it. They also note that they sanitize the car, which is also comforting, especially because a lot of people can handle a vehicle within a short amount of time. So again, this app is very easy to use, and is also very helpful. I highly recommend you to download this for tour traveling needs.

Do not use if you are a US citizen!!. I am a US citizen with a US driver’s license. Last week, I purchased the surprise reservation with the Peace of Mind Protection plan because I am under 25 and I wanted the under 25 fee to be waived from whatever car company I was renting from. When I got to the counter of Hertz at Tampa Airport on Tuesday to show them my reservation through Carla, they were not able to process my rental because I have a US driver’s license and am a US citizen. When I contacted Carla about what specifically happened and asked for a refund to my bank account they took the fee out of, they proceeded to say sorry and that they could only give me a $40 credit to the Carla account I made the reservation through. I told them this is not a viable solution because I legit cannot even use that as a US citizen. I had to remind them that I purchased the peace of mind protection plan with my reservation and that they legally have to give me a full refund to the bank account I purchased the reservation with according to this plan. After I mentioned the legality of the situation, they immediately gave me a refund. All I can say is that do not use this company if you are a US citizen!! Also their customer service needs improvement.

Very well designed app. This is honestly one of the best apps of it’s kind. First of all I love the visual design. The colors stand out but are not too hard on your eyes. It has a very modern feel and looks very clean and simple. Some other apps get way too cluttered but Carla is great. The text is also just the right size. As for the app itself, it is very easy to use. You just enter your pickup and drop off dates at the locations of your choice and it will give you a bunch of car options to choose from. Make sure to click on the symbol in the upper right corner if you want to filter your results. You can choose by car type, seats, payment options and supplier. You can also sort the results how you would like too. If you don’t like an option you can swipe left to discard it or swipe right to choose it. If you make a mistake there is an undo button in case you accidentally swiped left. There are also an “X” and a check mark at the bottom if you don’t want to swipe. Once you have found your car you can enter your details and choose your rental options. Overall it is great app and I would highly recommend it to anyone searching for a rental car.

Don’t use if you don’t have a credit card or good credit. This was my first time renting a car. I was looking to rent a car for a good price not to expensive, the advertised prices on the app looked pretty good. Because this is my first time renting I didn’t know that some car rental places only except credit cards only so I was unable to pick up the car. I tried again a second time with my friends credit card but her credit card limit was $500 dollars. The app charged her card so it was at $433 and the car price on the app said I only needs to pay $304 so we should have been good but once we were checking the price jumped to $480. So we couldn’t get the car both times. So emailed customer service and they said they were not held reliable if you can’t pick up the car do to low credit score or invalid credit card. But as I’m reading the terms and conditions it says must have a valid ID and a valid CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD. It not say some locations only except credit cards. I also as why the prices did not match up with the app and at the actual location. So now I’m waiting for a response because I’m fed up with this organization. They should put as a disclaimer must do your on research before purchasing a car on our app

Carla and affirm are disgusting and unprofessional companies. We do not have minus rating if we could have I would definitely give fraudulent Carla and it’s financial partner affirm the lowest rental car rating, very disgusting, unprofessional, use different ways to loot and rob their customers. I rent car for my long trips this was an emergency trip so I immediately rent through disgusting CARLA rental, when I got there to pick up the car store was already closed, contacted them hey this pick up location is close, I didn’t get any car, so we exchange lots of emails, at the end disgusting Carla rental rejected to refund me on top of not getting any service from Carla rental now I have to pay affirm hundreds of dollars, I don’t know how many other people faced such disgusting and unprofessional behavior from FRAUDULENT CARLA and affirm, let’s work together to stop these two fraudulent companies from looting and robbing others. Be safe and stay away from Carla and affirm.

be careful with this app. I am writing especially for American tourists, please read my message before you book any car through this app, you will lose money,and so I booked a car through this app, they charged me 574$ of the initial amount and I had to pay the rest of the money in the amount of 1200+ $ when I pick up the car, but when I arrived at the Avis location to pick up my car, they told me that they did not have this car and apologized for the damage caused, they wasted my precious time + because of them I lost an important business meeting , but that’s not all, after I wrote to Carla’s support service to get my money back for the goods not received, they refused to return the money to me without any reason, and there can’t be any reason and it doesn’t matter to me since I I didn’t receive my car and besides the fact that they were obliged to immediately return my money, they also owed me compensation for the damage and inconvenience caused, but they even refuse to return my money to me, and this is chaos and illegal action, I ask all tourists to be be careful from this app and Avis rental car, if you suddenly pay in advance through a credit card or through another and you have a problem with the car, then you will most likely lose all your money thanks, and I am not going to pay not one cent, and after I have a problem with my credit history, there will be legal problems with this company with my lawyer

DO NOT USE!!!. Please do not use this app! Read the honest reviews! Just go through the rental company directly! I made a reservation through this app and prepaid about $50 for cancellation fee and “insurance”. When I went to pick up car they did have my reservation but there was no insurance so I had to get insurance through enterprise! They had no information included with the reservation with Carla about coverage. So I had to pay more money than expected. And the confirmation email I received said nothing about insurance coverage either and actually said in the email to provide my personal insurance with rental coverage at the counter. So that makes no sense that I paid for car “coverage” through Carla. They charged me and I received nothing. I don’t see this app lasting for much longer because it seems many people have this problem and that the 5 star reviews are fake. I also asked about carla’s “under 25 fee waived” although I am 28. Enterprise says that is not a fee that can be waived and that someone would still end up having to pay the extra amount. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP!!!!

Lies and Deceit. This third party is not recognized in Mexico. Not only do they not honor the reservation price, they don’t except the added insurance either. If you pay with a credit card, you still need to pay a hefty deposit. In my case, I reserved an SUV, was told I would pay $267 at the counter, but arrived to a whopping $1200 bill. Assuming, of course, I elected their version of full coverage, which would still have me on the line for 10% of the vehicle’s value, should it be totaled. If I did go with the basic option, without insurance, there was an $800 deposit on top of the price, which was close to the promised price, but I would be responsible for all damages outside of liability. Typical with car rental agencies, sure, but the need to pay a deposit on top of the fee, despite having a credit card, was what got me. I ended up in Mexico without a rental car, navigating public transit looking like a tourist. I recommend going directly through the car rental agency from the beginning. No hassle. No surprises.

Worst car rental company ever/terrible customer service!. I rented a car and they charged my card multiple times with at least one little unauthorized payment that was charged over a week after I paid in full. When I went to pick up my car, they hit me with a surprise underage fee that this company boasts on not having. I used the car and had a big transmission problem on the car where I was stuck uphill in the Rocky Mountains not able to go at all for over 15 minutes. When I went to complain about the car and how my safety was put in risk, the counter gave a half sorry. I went to this website to give my valid complaints and ask for a partial refund with having such a terrible experience and they told me that any driven car cannot and will not get any money back and they could do as much as a $10 credit on a car that I spend over $500 on and put an additional $500 as the deposit…… THEY WORK WITH COMPANIES THAT DONT PROPERLY SERVICE THEIR VEHICLES

Easy to use. This app brings a refreshing way to shop for a car rental! It is so easy to use and even fun! It shows location of the car rental place, price, and how many seats! I really enjoyed shopping for a rental with the swipe feature and being able to save a handful of options to look at for a final decision. The swipe feature was kinda fun! I almost wanted to keep going just to keep swiping left or right. I found the feature showing how many seats extremely helpful as we have a large family and 5 seats would not work. This feature made the process quick to find vehicles that would work. Being able to save multiple “favorites” was a unique feature. Instead of scrolling on multiple sites and trying to remember what I liked I was able to save multiple options from various companies to review and choose from. Rentals are shown from cheapest to more expensive so I did not have to waste time trying to find inexpensive options either. It might seem overwhelming to older generations but it is easy to figure out and get used to with the tutorials. Overall I really liked this app and the new refreshing way to shop for a car rental!

Easy to use!. Usually when I am looking to rent a car for a trip, I go direct to a company’s website and look for something. And usually - I don’t end up renting a car or I end up going another direction for transportation because they are so unbelievably expensive. However I won’t be doing that anymore! This app is so user friendly and easy on the eyes - definitely not boring. I had no trouble finding what I needed and it was easy to search and compare rates for rental after entering just a little bit of information on what I needed. Not to mention - the rental prices were excellent. I have not seen such great car rental rates direct from a company ever. This app makes it so much easier to find actually reasonable rental rates and booking is fast and easy to do once I’m ready. It also appears to allow promo codes and gives me the opportunity to earn rewards. I will definitely use this app often for my car rental needs.

Wouldn’t use again. I’ve had this app on my phone for a year or so and finally used it this weekend to purchase a rental vehicle. The price that I paid a deposit on was not the price that was honored once I arrived to pick up the rental. I would have had a much better experience had I went directly to the rental company app that I also have on my phone and paid for it in full. The price was much more by using the Carla App and the location that my reservations gave me on the Carla App was not the location that had my rental. I called the location I was given and was told they did not have a reservation for me. I then called the rental company customer service to find out that my location had been switched but it was not switched in the app. I’m glad I called the day before to confirm…had I not done that it would have been a disaster! I’m gonna delete this app from my phone once I return the car and book directly through the rental company site going forward. Carla App is not worth the hassle or the extra money you’re asked to pay once you arrive.

DO NOT USE! SCAM! Will steal your money!. My car was going to be in the body shop for month and I need a rental. I downloaded Carla and booked a car. When I got to the airport the car I had reserved was unavailable. In fact, there was a long line and the rep said that all these people were waiting for them to clean their cars and to get in line. I told the rep to cancel my reservation because I didn’t it was already two hours past my reservation and I don’t want to wait another hour. She said they couldn’t cancel it and that I would have to go through Carla. So, I immediately contacted Carla to ask for a refund since the car RESERVED for me was not available as promised. I never got a rental car that night and Carla REFUSED to give me my $400 back. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and then Carla LIED and told them I never tried to cancel my reservation. I sent proof of the emails and still my credit company “sided” with them. Unbelievable. Avoid this app! They will use any excuse to keep your money!

Need improvement. Rented a car through this app, was promised a certain car, I have the email to prove it. However, I showed up and the rental place said they never receive a specific car rental and I also paid a deposit thinking I don’t have to pay any when I get there. Since the app only told me to bring my license and a credit card to pay. I did bring my car insurance just incase. I was told not only was I not getting the car I booked but they were gonna hold $400 on my card. Now, I’m not that well off and when I plan my vacation I made sure I budget really well so I can spend money and still have some for emergencies. Thank you for wasting my time and money, now I have to find a way to get around.

I’ve had good luck. I’ve had good luck with Carla in the past, all car rentals have gone smoothly, no issues with getting a car at the various airports we’ve rented from. I even booked for the wrong airport one time and was allowed to cancel the reservation with no issues. My reason for four stars is because the “total” part of the “advertisement” used to be the grand total at the end of everything and now it’s not. For example, when it shows the car, it says “$212 total” but when I click on that car to select it, the payment page shows “pay now: $212// pay at counter: $87// total: $303”. Maybe it’s just me with my first world problems but I guess I don’t understand why it’s like this, if it says total in the beginning, that should be the total at the end.

Very Convenient & Useful. Super convenient app when you need to rent a car fast and with minimal headaches this is the app for you! I have yet to have any issues and there is no nagging or annoying notifications. With an accurate selection of vehicles and a wide verity of providers some I’ve herd of some I haven’t renting a car could not be any easier. I will be sharing this app with my family and friends. Incredibly easy to use user interface bug free and flawless performance. I will be using again to rent my car next week for my yearly trip to Portland Oregon. So the app & making the car rental reservation was a breeze…Pretty simply str8 4ward..It was my first reservation & the whole “We’ll email you with you pick up location & reservation details shortly..” Kinda had me on edge..Then I got the email with the pick up location that was an hr out from my location…So I started freaking out being Support Phone Line help didnt open for another 3 hrs & I needed this pick up location changed..I sent an email & the response to my inquiry was almost instant which I super appreciated!..& I didnt even have ta put up a fight or wind up not picking up my rental due ta distance out..”ALEX” just assigned me the nearest pick up location 15 mins away & email me back steadfast with all the details needed..Customer Service is fast friendly & on point… 5Stars & also the price was the half of what other competitor services were offering..So #WIN! Nice job. This app is very clean and easy to use and is very user friendly. It’s well designed and crisp design are modern and welcoming to all users. Navigating the app was very straightforward and even my technology challenged mother and father could use the app and were able to cut down research and booking time so they had more time for family and fun while on vacation. I was able to easily search for car rentals at my destination and for hotels to make travel easy and less stressful. The navigation through the app is very intuitive and the function of each tab is clear and concise. I’ve always been skeptical of using apps instead of going through hotels directly or car rental agencies directly, but this app made everything easy to compare pricing and quality of each brand and company. This app provides easy comparisons between cars and brands, and hotels for wherever your destination may be. I would recommend this app to anyone that travels frequently, anyone that travels rarely, anyone that travels to a new area, and basically anyone looking to make travel easy, stress free, enjoyable, and not waste their time comparing brands, companies, and rates across all the different websites. Very good app, well designed, very helpful.

Would not recommend. I used this app to book a car rental the other day. I entered my credit card and paid the fee to reserve the car and all was accepted and confirmed. I take an Uber to the facility where the car is, when I get there, I’m told they can’t accept my credit card because they just aren’t accepting chase or chime credit credit cards at the moment. Carla would not refund the initial $60 I put out, which the car rental company informed me I had to get back from the third party booking company (Carla). I was completely inconvenienced. I ended up try to book again with them and chose enterprise instead, I booked in a town near me and made sure in the app. Confirmation email informs me the rental caf is in Michigan even though I booked a car in cherry hill, which is definitely what the app said. Another unrefundable amount. I now have credits sitting in the Carla app that I’m not using because I don’t trust this company to ever give it another shot.

Horrible App, Horrible Experience. Carla claimed to have a car ready for us in Bolzano. We paid $140 dollars to Carla and they said the car would be ready in 30 minutes. We waited for three hours, arrived at the car rental location and the price was much more than we had agreed and the car was not the same one we had booked. The user interface was terrible and we were forced to call and email Carla, who were slow to respond and overall very unhelpful while we wasted our day. We were forced to cancel our car reservation. We assumed that the local car company was responsible and that Carla would be understanding and refund us. They refused and offered us "carla credits" which forces us to use their app again which was absolute garbage. Their claims department rejected our claim. But why they offer us credits if they didn't understand? Why would a company with 24,000 reviews in the mobile app store be so greedy?! I highly recommend other people to consider an alternative to this horrible company.

WORST APP. me and my boyfriend went online yesterday the 13th to get a car for a five day weekend to the beach when i went on the app to book a car first off if i liked a car it automatically sent me to the payment page i couldn’t pick from different ones. i also got several emails about my rental which was great. it took out a 206 deposit from my bank account. i went to avis today to get my car with all the things i needed to get my car. i am 21 though so i knew it would be an underaged fee i wasn’t worried about that. the lady told me she could not find my reservation and then she was asking for a company badge number which i have no idea i needed because it was not in any of the emails that i got so i could not get my rental. i even specifically picked refund just incase something went wrong at the counter and my pick up was 10 am we got there at 9:50 and at 10:01 i asked for a refund because i couldn’t even get the car and it was frustrating me! so i’m down $200 even after one minute even though i don’t have the rental car.

Great app!. This is such a wonderful app! This app is easy to use and has many great resources! It’s very user friendly and I love how you can also enter promo codes within the app! Carla’s menu items are very easy to see and the app itself is very organized and a great app to purchase! I think this app is very underrated and it should be advertised more!! This app is better than most car rental apps and I think more people need to learn about this app! Carla is ideal for any kind of individual looking to rent a car. The prices are very affordable and the availability rates are great given it’s very difficult to rent a car now a days. This app also gives the opportunity to find hotels to stay in which is a great addition to car renting since many people are on vacation when renting cars. Overall wonderful app and I do not see any notable flaws with the app. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to find a wonderful app to rent a car or stay in a hotel! Easy to use with great features. I really like this app! The design is clean and easy to navigate. I use rental cars a few times a year while traveling and usually browse via desktop, but having an app makes it convenient for when I need to check rentals urgently. I like the “yes/no/save” feature of browsing vehicles, as it makes it easy to eliminate cars you are absolutely not interested in or quickly select one that suits you. You can easily browse available cars and save the ones that interest you to go back and compare later. I’ve used that feature when saving cars I like to get the opinion of my travel partner later. The app presents all available cars from many different suppliers, and you’re able to filter the results to fit your needs (such as car type, seat capacity, etc.). I always opt for added protection while renting, and you’re able to browse and compare protection plans with various levels of coverage including roadside assistance, deductible/no deductible and other features. I’m a pretty anxious trip planner and really appreciate the affordable “peace of mind” protection option. All in all, the app is very sleek and easy to navigate and use. It’s super useful when juggling many other complicated features of traveling, as it is easy to stay focused on the task at hand.

FRAUD. This app allowed me to book a reservation and charged prepayment. The rental car company would not allow me to rent the car because they don’t accept my credit card. They advised they cannot offer refund because I paid Carla, and not them. I contacted Carla via email as that is the only way to contact them and the gentleman sited an excerpt from a terms and conditions page that is not visible to customers until AFTER booking stating that they don’t have to refund you if the rental car company won’t honor your refund. I cancelled the order to receive credit asked to verify that the credit is on my account. They advised me to verify my email but when I attempt to send the link from the app, I don’t receive an email. All of my further requests for assistance have been closed instantaneously by the gentleman who handled the first one. They also charged me twice. Once for the amount I authorized and then again for about $6. This app should be deleted. I have reported the company to the Better Business Bureau.

They charge you for things they cannot account for, it took me about 24 separate emails to get a straight answer and even a receipt! They don’t answer the phone number for customer service that they have. If you try to cancel well before your reservation, they refuse to refund 100% of your money even though there’s no verbiage saying their refund policy on the app. They’ll only give you a 100% credit for use on their app, which I’d never use because they’re a horrible company! Then, they saw my original review and contacted me multiple times to get me to revise it offering a discount and a credit. No thanks y’all. No amount of money will get me to change how shady your app is. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This car rental app is a total scam if you look at their Facebook page you will see nothing but unhappy people out money that they charged. Including myself I was charged two separate charges and nobody can tell me what the second charge was for and now nobody will answer me and refund my money they only say they can refund it has 100% credit for their app which I do not wish to use because they’re outright scamming people.

Nice. This is a nicely designed app for car rentals. It is very easy to use. So easy my youngest kid could use it. Very self explanatory and easy to navigate. I was actually surprised to find a rental close by. Most apps I can not find any thing in my area or close enough to even use the app. I was also surprised by all the options available. Again, most apps I can not use due to the rural area I live in, but to have so many options was awesome. The options included different cars, trucks, suvs and even vans. All the vehicles are nice and you can have many options from even the color to WiFi and insurance options! There is also a spot for promotions to possibly get you a discount on your rental! The prices seem like they are average. I have need rented a car and I hope I never have to, so I am assuming the prices are normal range. So anyways nice app within an hour from my rural area with many many options! That’s is very surprising. The app itself is well developed, easy to navigate and use! Well done on this app! So try the app! You might like it also!

Tremendous Shopping experience. Carla has tremendous customer support and offers a wide variety of vehicle options that simplify the shopping experience. My biggest concern with most car companies is the inconvenience that comes along with obtaining a vehicle. With Carla, this process is streamlined and from the time it takes me to find a vehicle and rent it, I easily save hours. I’m glad an app like this exists and the best part of the app is the personalized customer support from the developers. Sometimes the walk to the car from my airport shuttle can be a bit further than I would like, but it is usually within a reasonable walking distance so I cannot complain. If anything, it would improve the overall experience if the app located cars a tad closer although I have enjoyed all of the features in this app without complaint!

Um.... I don’t know how this app got 4.6 stars. I swear if I could give negative stars, I would. I booked a reservation for a car that costed over $400 but it came up to over $500 because of fees. When I went to pick up the car, I was told I needed to pay an additional $500 for the deposit. Um... I wasn’t paying that because I wasn’t aware that I had to pay an extra $500 + fees to get the car. If I knew this beforehand, I would’ve NEVER paid the money to reserve the car. And when I contacted frauda car — I mean “Carla car,” firstly, they told me since I paid online, I shouldn’t have to pay additional money but then when I explained to them what happened, they proceeded to say I have to pay additional money... like excuse me?! I wish I did my full research before downloading the app, but it’s okay... they’re gonna get what’s coming to them for scamming people (: I hope they feel good about themselves! I’m definitely not letting this slide either. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THEM!!!! 🚫🚫🚫 because you will be scammed!

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE DO NOT USE. This is really 0 starts. Please read to avoid frustration, headache, and disappointment. Their customer service is TRASH!! I made a reservation Feb 3rd to travel to a funeral and arrived to pick up my rental. I was unable to pick up the rental because the terms listed in the Carla about debit vs credit card requirements were not correct and I was denied the vehicle at the counter. You can imagine my surprise when I showed the counter clerk the Carla app and being told that false information and I will need to call customer service because we cannot provide you with a car. I called customer service and explained what was happening only to be told there was nothing that could be done even after I had paid for the reservation. I had spent close to $200 for the reservation and asked for a refund Feb 3rd. I have yet to receive a refund or communication about where they are in the process. I beg you to please avoid using this company because their customer service is terrible, the information in the app cannot be trusted, there is a lack of care for customers, and you are better off using another company. Hopefully I get a refund soon but I won’t hold my breathe after reading other reviews.

Bad experience. First of all, the car I booked at Sydney Australia was done as Sydney in Canada. How? I reached the car rental and they did not even have received a reservation (after 2 hours of reservation. No phone number to call and explain what happened. I want a full refund, not just credits. I paid real money.

Just use Avis or Enterprise. Booked through Carla, paid $120 aud all up only on the app got charged rental cover twice, supposed to pick the car up from ool airport instead got into a mini bus taken over the qld nsw boarder waited 45 mins all up just to get to the car company place, then were told there was no payment on their system from Carla! Then paid another $150 for the car and insurance, car company said they’d put a note on the booking as Carla hadn’t paid them at all for our booking. Also if your in Australia there’s no way of contacting them over the phone to actually speak to someone. Fraudulent company I would never recommend anyone to use this app. So all up we paid $120 for literally a booking fee and another $150 for the actual car. $270 all up. Save your time money and the stress from using Carla and book somewhere else not through a third party!!!! Worst experience I’ve ever had!

User Friendly. I’ve being using this app for few weeks and it is very easy to compare prices between different car rental companies in here in Australia. It is pretty much convenient for me to have an ides about the prices and make a booking for whatever I prefer and also I do not need to have various apps from different providers since I can compare all of them in single app. Other thing is search result comes with all the available cars from different companies with the preview of the car and the option available such as automatic, insurance, number of seats and the location address etc. I can also filter the search result to find out best matching car for my preferences which is nicely see in this app and help this for my convenient usage of the app. Fees are also reasonable with compared with other participants in the market. I would like to suggest that if it’s possible to compare with Uber which is most famous service provider in Australia, most of the users and new comers can compare prices over Uber price which is more compelling them for use this app over others since users can see the difference.

Not trustworthy. Hey guys I booked a car using the app for a certain date and once i had reviewed and payed for it the date had miraculously changed and skipped a month..... so 1 star from me until i get my refund.

Beware! Terrible experience, hidden charges, frustrating!. Booking through Carla was a terrible experience - when I went to pick up the car, mysterious additional charges appeared left right and centre - one way fees, having to pay a 1400 euro insurance deposit unless I paid for extra insurance, fuel deposits etc etc etc! I complained to Carla because none of these appeared on the confirmation email/voucher and they took no responsibility whatsoever, passing the issue to the car company "Your concerns relate to GoldCar not us. It will be much better to contact their customer support to clarify. " There's no point booking through this app as they don't tell you what it actually costs then take no responsibility! Awful.

Open the app, get asked for a review. Say no to the review because you haven’t used the app at all, and guess what? It asks you for a review. My review is that an app shouldn’t demand reviews, and especially shouldn’t repeatedly demand them as soon as it’s opened. Consider a timer which lets people try the app for 53 seconds before demanding a review.

Don’t use this app. This car rental app has the worst customer service. Or say, they don’t have customer service at all! You can’t contact them, it’s up to them when they want to reply your email. Plus they have this no fund policy, you can’t get your money back once you paid. And you don’t even have a place to argue with them! This was my worst car rental experience. This is not a legit business, don’t use it.

Avoid avoid avoid!. Booked a car and paid an initial 90euro for the reservation and insurance. Went to collect the car I had booked and the app had reserved a completely different vehicle! The hire company was not able to change the booking so it was absolutely useless. Carla support disappeared once I asked for a refund as I was not able to proceed with the booking made through their app! Just terrible. There are other apps available, don’t be fooled by the prices.

Poor information. Cars are not available from terminal 1 in paris charles de gaul it is terminal 2E for collection. I had 2 booking numbers for some reason and eurocar did not recognise either of them nor did they recognise the comprehensive insurance.

Can’t think a better price!. I rent a car via this app from Thrifty. It was a Toyota Yaris rental for 4 days and the pick up and drop off locations were at airport. I checked the prices on Thrifty’s website (€272 for 4days) and on this app it was €178 for 4days. First I couldn’t believe but the price was perfect so I decided to try. I thought I can take my money back, in worst scenario. I arrived at the airport 7am, and my car was ready even at the very early in the morning. I had no problem with the company, they didn’t charge me extra -THAT’S THE BIGGEST SURPRISE! From now on, I will always use carla and check the prices on the rental company’s website.

Shady business. I have had issues with Carla claiming inaccurate details about what is included in the rental cost: insurance, mileage, conditions of the rental, etc. I paid double the price on the end! So expect bad surprises at the time of pickup and do not count on their customer service: they do not have a phone number! E-mails are left unanswered! Avoid, for your own sake.

Simple app. App has some technical issues. For example, I select “Yes” for 25 or over, but an error message comes up: Driver must be over 18.

Kind of extortion. The app allows to easy book super cheap cars, but look like this cars do not exist at all in real world. Because I booked twice for tomorrow and in both cases they did not confirm my booking but I spent my money for some non-returnable commission. Regarding booking cancellation they do not have such functionality at all you need to ping support service for that could be not so fast as you want. Do not recommend to use this app at all. Keep your money safe.

Total SCAM!!. They took more than half of the rental cost for just being on the waiting list, and that is not even refundable regardless whether they find a car for you or not. It’s past the day I needed the rental and still haven’t held anything from them since the day I reserved the car. I would not suggest you to even try this app, you are better off with other options!

Absolute scam. Was almost out $140 until I threatened to get my lawyer involved.. The app is set up horribly, and I put in my age and it showed me listings where they would accept my age (so it said). I get to the place and they refuse to rent to me, not only am I stuck in florida with no uber or lyfts around, I had to walk 5 MILES just to get to a place where my friends were able to meet up with us at. The whole trip we had 14 people with 1 car due to carla’s awful app. So so write a ticket trying to get my money back, and at first they refuse to even pay me back! After arguing they offered an app credit not even a refund. That’s when I got mad and threatened to get a lawyer involved, only then did they refund the money. This company is corrupt and a scam. I will make sure to never let any of my friends or family use this app.

they steal money. I booked a reservation with them that they accepted, then all of a sudden got an email with a changed reservation where my pickup time was in 15 minutes. I was in the middle of grocery shopping which is why I set the pickup time for later in the evening. I then was put with Hertz and was unable to get my vehicle because I didn't have a credit card, so I managed to cancel my reservation within the 15 minutes I had. I contacted Carla to let them know and that I wanted a refund, but they told me they can't issue me a refund and proceed to list suspiciously specific instances for why they cant refund me. They took and unauthorized payments from me, and got almost $500! And on top of that the carla cash couldn't even apply to anything besides the pay now. So now I'm out $500 and can't even use it to pay for my rental. Total scam. Avoid them!

GREAT ADDITION TO THE APP STORE. Kudos for the developers of this app. It’s not only very easy to use but it’s also very informational as well. Living in a city such as New York , I think that we all can potentially understand the stresses that even the most mundane tasks can cause. Not only does app allows you to check multiple sites all in one place , the prices are listed clearly , and if at any point in time you need any assistance , customer service is some of the best that I’ve experienced. This app is just great. Thank You for making even the smallest detail that could be potentially looked over one of the most important. AMAZING !

Complete Scam, Fake Reviews. Booked a car rental, was sent all of the booking confirmation details with the reservation reserved in app. Took an uber out to where the rental supposedly was and was told that they had never even heard of the app and had no clue about the rental. The reservation disappeared from the app despite us being charged for it. We finally found a customer support number and some indian man answered, we explained what was going on and got put on hold before being hung up on. Called back and it said the call could not be completed meaning they blocked our number afterwards. Literal complete scam with fake reviews. Wasted money on the uber, have no rental, stranded at the local airport. Now have to get a new debit card, dispute the charge with our bank, and report them to the BBB.

Never received rental, credit, or refund.. I recently booked through Carla and when I went to pick up my vehicle there was no reservation made and no credit given after I paid $80 prior to going to pick it up. Upon attempting to contact customer service I was never given a response or helped in any way shape or form. I’m now out $80 plus the other $120 I had to pay to rent the vehicle I supposedly had already rented. I don’t know how there are 7,000+ reviews here and how they still have a 5-star rating because this was an awful experience.

Stay away. My last reservation through Carla was a disaster. I reserved through Hertz and when I got to the counter I was told it was an international only rate and it would therefore be canceled. They were already low on cars and so the rate was nearly 4 times what I had reserved. Because we were in a hurry and also because other car rental companies appeared to have the same problem of overbooking we had to take that reservation. The time before that we reserved with a company called green motion which does not accept Pure insurance among many other kinds. It is a complete rip off as two other people in the office had the exact same problem with popular commercially available insurances. They then sell you their product which was more expensive than the rental itself. After these two experiences with Carla I will not be using again.

Very Satisfied. The Carla car app is a great way to not only Rent a car, but also see all the different different prices of the different car companies that choose what's affordable for you. And if something goes wrong at the car company you are renting from, Carla will be able to give you your money back or even give you Carla cash for the next time you rent a car. Contact Us support. So it was Easy to book, easy Payment but when I bought the first half and went to go to the counter Carla didn’t tell me what payment to bring only that they didn’t accept Cash. They book third party so no one has responsibility. When I get to Avis, I couldn’t complete my reservation and Contacting Carla should have an actual Number! Then they emailed me saying they could give me credit but I can’t use their credit because I just need my money back which they say they can guarantee you your money back if it’s not smooth sailing but ONLY give you credit. I still haven’t gotten my money back and that was from my settlement in. A crash so I could get my car fixed

SCAM !!! Beware! They took my money & gave my husband no vehicle!. Husband landed off of flight at airport in BFE, while he was on flight, I attempted to find him a rental for when he landed. I couldn’t find ANYTHING. This app ‘Carla’ popped up and had vehicles available so it being literally the only thing available, I booked it with my card for him. It asked for my credit card information and then said that it was confirmed and I would receive an email with the supplier information and where to pick it up at the airport. I still have not recommend a confirmation email and I still have not received a response to my emails inquiring this information. I’m super furious right now. This is a total scam and when you go to call it says that they don’t have a phone number .

Good app, HORRIBLE customer service.. The app is good to use, very user-friendly, and convenient. However, what’s NOT convenient is the customer service. Although they are prompt, poor customer service. Only after 22 DAYS, including a 10 day wait period, was I informed that they rejected my refund request. Was supposed to hear back from them on Oct 21, 2022. October 22 I reached out to discover the information that prepayment is “non-refundable”. In addition, no where on the app did it state that the deposit is non-refundable. This whole situation was handled unprofessionally. Took me through the wringer for almost a month just to inform me of that, hence the 2/5 stars. Peace and blessings. :)

SCAMMMM. This company charged me $233 for a rental I never even got. I booked the reservation and paid the reservation online, when I got to Usave rental company they said nothing had been paid toward the rental and I needed to pay $530 do get the rental. I reached out to Carla only to find out they don’t not have a phone number to talk to ANYONE it’s all email. I have spoke with 2 different people via email with one never even responding to me. I still haven’t gotten any update on my return outside of “I put your comments in the notes.” I even purchase the “peace of mind” coverage so I could received I full refund and they haven’t even honored it! This company is literally scamming people and I’m STILL trying for get my money back and it’s been over a week. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will be reporting to the BBB. The positive reviews on the company are FAKE so not believe them!

don’t waste your time and money. they made booking for me to nowhere , in the app it showed me i booked a car in marseille in some address that doesn’t have any rent car in it !!! big surprise for now i took uber to there and we were trying to find office to pick up car , after we got disappointed i went to airport to budget rent car to see if they know anything ( my booking was labeled with budget company in carla app ) so i thought maybe they can help me but they didn’t know anything about carla or even that budget branch that carla booked a car for me. so i contact them and it seemed they know what they did no surprise for them but it took my time to take a car from airport and other situation i have been experienced , and also i paid for uber to take me to place that nothing was there and bring me back to the airport , everyone who traveled a lot tbey know it’s not big deal that sometimes problems happend but other companies accept their fault and trying to make costumer satusfy but in this app you don’t get anything, just try other apps and save your time and money

This company has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I was excited to try Carla because I need to rent cars frequently for work. I am extremely disappointed because they apparently think it’s okay to charge you twice for insurance. The rental company did not recognize the app, and charged me for the insurance on the car after I had already purchased it through Carla. I was never told that I had bought the insurance twice, and when I tried appealing to Carla with proof that I had already purchased it, they were very rude. They wouldn’t refund me for the insurance and have lost a regular customer of their service which is worth a lot more. Don’t waste your time on them and just book with the car company directly. I have never experienced such rude and dismissive treatment from a company when the mistake wasn’t even on my end.

Easy!. Really great app. So happy I found this little hidden gem. There are other apps out there that offer car rentals, but this one did all the hard work for me. T compared pricing for car rentals in my area and was able to availability for cars on short notice. It made a stressful situation easy for me and saved me a ton of money during this time of need. Customer service was awful. I used Carla for the first and last time last week. Long story short, I paid my deposit to the app AFTER making sure I had all required documents to pick up the car from enterprise. Upon my arrival, I was told that I couldn’t pick up my car because at the time I had a paper id from the MVA awaiting my real id in the mail. Unbeknownst to me, enterprise has upgraded their system (thanks to covid) and now uses an id scanner. Because of this, they could not receive my paper id as valid because it could not go into the machine and there was no way to input it manually. I reached out to Carla with this information in full detail and they continue to deny me a refund and furthermore was not kind nor did they offer me some other sort of accommodation. I would leave zero stars if I could. Worst app ever. Stick to turo and Zipcar.

Top notch service. Pretty fast and simple car rental app to save your hard earned dollars. I would say clean to describe Carla. You can see all the car rental companies at discounted rates. No unnecessary information, just focusing on the vital stuff. No already checked boxes as well so that you don't end up with optional services. I love that they show the total for my trip. It is much easier to compare. I don't appreciate other websites, apps showing just the rental charge and then adding all types of fees making your total 2x.

BEWARE! Watch out for hidden fees!!!!!. Wanted to take a road trip with my son. As you can imagine, budgeting was crucial especially with the cost of gas on the rise. Found Carla and thought it was great to have a finance option. 14 day rental for $1,300. Being able to finance was a tremendous help for cash flow. BUT I get to counter and was hit with a $2,300 additional cost! $1,600 interstate tax/charge and two other charges - totaling about $2,300. Seems ridiculous. And yes I understood there would be a fee at the counter, BUT about $2,300 on top of my initial $1,300! BEWARE. Also, there isn’t a phone number to call customer service, ONLY via email. Which in the moment couldn’t get a response in time to inquire about the charge. Please Please Please be careful. I will post this review everywhere.

App needs a little tweaking for clarity. Great concept and easy to use. Started very smoothly but the pick up location was about about 30 miles from the anticipated site so had to shuttle back to airport and take train then walk about a mile to the actual pick up site. The extra travel made me two hours late to the actual pick up location which required I pay for the next available size car. The rest of the experience was great. Good price, etc.... I’ll definitely give Carla another chance.

NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT USE THIS APP. I will NEVER Again use this app. First they had me go on a hunt for the car in the Orlando Airport. Then I had to pay $18 to get the car out of the parking lot. The gas was almost empty. The next day they locked me out the car. Was on the phone with different representatives, trying to figure out why the car wouldn't start. They allegedly had to reboot their system to unlock the car. I missed the Sea World experience and lost my money. Then when I returned the car they said I had to wait 10 working days to get my $250 deposit back. Also they said they would refund me a day of rental. After waiting 10 working days my money has not yet been refunded. Now I have to wait an additional week to get my money. When they took it out of my account immediately smh. DO NOT USE THIS APP

If you could give negative stars I would !!! Scam do not use. I tried to rent a car with Carla over four days ago I have not heard from anyone regarding my car reservation they finally someone contacted me via email and saying that I was placed on a waitlist for a rental car nowhere does it says the use a waiting list. I tried to cancel my reservation online but now the cancellation feature is magically not working and they’ve already taken funds for a car that was not even reserved and the rental company doesn’t even have the reservation info !! do not use this app it is a scam i’m still trying to get in contact with them to get a refund back for insurance for a car that was never even reserved and they have to phone number when you call it goes to a google subscriber voicemail.

SCAM COMPANY‼️. Stay away from this company. Don’t believe me? Check out their platform from twitter to instagram. Not 1 not 2 nor 3 but many are being robbed by this company. 1 they don’t have a customer service you can call. Avis partner with them but when you call Avis, they won’t be able to see anything on their end. When you email their customer service as they want you to, they won’t have a answer as you’d want. For example, “ can you guys please help me with my car reservation, I’m having trouble with the app” they’ll respond with a quote from their policy or their website. God forbid something went wrong on their end, you’ll be out your reservation and all they do is ignore your emails. These reviews on aren’t real and this company is a scam. Go somewhere where your service is guaranteed.

Zero stars. When I reserved a vehicle I was supposed to be able to pick it up less than two miles from my house, and pay with a debit card as long as I leave up to $500 deposit . So I paid the $13 to reserve the car, then a few minutes later I got charged another $31 tgat I never authorized. So when I checked my reservation it said I had to pick up the car from sky harbor airport wich is like 25 miles from my house. I quickly find a ride and make it down there barely on time just to find out that I can’t pay with a debit card nor can I leave a cash deposit. The whole experience was just one big mess and nothing was as it said it would be and I’d like my money back. I did authorize the $13 charge so if you won’t give that back then whatever but I didn’t authorize anybody to debit my card a second time without authorization so I want my $31 back

Scam and fraud do not rent. I rented a car for my recent trip to Boston. I got to the hertz counter and was told that a reservation did not exist and I was the third person that day with the same situation from Carla. He went as far as to tell me hertz did not even have the rate that was confirmed for me and that they had been sold out so Carla completely made up the reservation. On Expedia and orbitz no cars were available so I went counter to counter to fins a res. 2 day rental from dollar was $850 And finally found a $300 rental from Avis. If I had booked when Carla had booked my fraudulent reservation it was $29 a day. These people are thieves and should be arrested.

Awesome support & Local companies. I love Carla because of two main features - personalized customer support & local car rental companies. I planned a road trip in Europe this summer. I rented many cars in US yet I didn't know much about driving in Europe. Laura helped me out with my endless questions. She even made recommendations based on her personal experience. I reserved a fullsize SUV for the price of a midsize car. Couldn't have been better. It's great to see local car rental companies on the app. I always want to support local businesses. I can easily access to local companies and lower prices. Sometimes, there are unbelievable prices. I will make my rating 5 stars when there are more local companies. :)

Best car rental app!. Carla is one of the best car rental service applications on the market. Carla’s user-friendly interface makes it easy to find the best possible car to rent. Carla searches through multiple sites to find the best car rental deals in the areas you are searching for. To search for cars to rent, simply choose your pickup and drop off location, date, and time. Click “search for cars”, and you will get to choose from multiple cars in different rental locations around the city of your choice. I especially like the app’s swipe left or right feature that lets you decide which car is perfect for you.

Scammers. This is worse experience I have ever had. They take your money and don’t help you. I have a reservation and I needed the pick up location to be modified due to an error. I waited 5 hours from 12 noon to 5 pm and no response. I called and called and left messages. Finally Anna a representative said that they are trying to fix the problem. 1. At first she said no cars available I screenshot pictures of the app and there was numerous of cars available 2. She said no was available to help and I told her here the manager at Thrifty Car Rental needs to talk with you and she hanged up. 3. They finally updated the app with the correct pickup location but they never called Thrifty Car Rental. 4. When they would not respond to me. My friend called them from her phone and they answered her called. She quickly gave me the phone and the girl talked to me and hanged up All I know is do not trust them. There is no customer service available There is no way to modify you reservation and they charge you to modify They took $700 from me I paid upfront for 18 days and ended up get stolen because I was not able to pick up my rental because of the modification that needed to be done and then not calling Thrifty Car Rental They lied to me

Thieves.. I would leave 0 stars if possible. I reserved a vehicle using this app for Enterprise due to my vehicle having to be repaired under warranty and being responsible for reserving my own vehicle and being reimbursed by the dealership, who was having trouble finding a vehicle as all rental places in my local area were out of all rental vehicles. I spoke with the gentleman at the dealership after I’d reserved the vehicle and he told me he had also reserved one, so I attempted to cancel my reservation through the app, which wouldn’t let me. I get to Enterprise and they inform me there wasn’t even a reservation there through the app. Upon contacting the app for a refund of $110 “pre-authorization charge”, they informed me they do not issue refunds for pre-auth charges even though Enterprise confirmed that they do not charge until the vehicle is picked up, therefore, Carla was NOT charged for the vehicle but still charged me for it and refuses to issue a refund. This is ridiculous and terrible business practice to steal from customers. I will be pursing this obviously but want everyone to be warned about this horrible company.

Great Car Rental App. Overall, I am well pleased with my experience with both installing and registering for a car rental. There were a great selection of car availabilities in multiple locations around my area. The customer service was also incredible; they reached out to me even before I completed the car registration. They were very polite and professional. The experience was much better than typical experiences with large companies such as Hertz and Enterprise. My first car rental experience from Carla has been perfect so far and I have no complaints. I would recommend this app to anyone looking for competitive rates on car rentals.

Terrible app and you can’t talk to anyone!!. I set up for a rental car on the app for hertz rental car! They charged my card $125 dollars yet when I arrived at the rental place they had no reservation at the rent a car pick up counter, and they had nothing that said me or my boyfriends name on it. I messaged him he app and never got a response. We never got a renta a car through them , they still charged us $125, and I can not get a hold of them. I wrote them more than once and have never heard back! Put I get emails telling me what great deals they have! I am hoping to maybe here back on my review. What a terrible service and a terrible why to start our vacation trying to find another car. Plus we were at the Niagara Falls airport. There is not many options or extra cars! Worst experience ever! Worst app!!!!

Beautifully Designed. Carla is a very well designed app that allows easy car rental searches with very simplistic pick up and drop off services. I have had my fair share of terrible car rental services both online and in person and this by far is one of the best that I have come across. The low prices are also a big pointer for me as it makes getting a car affordable for those on a pinch or for people looking to save a few extra bucks. I highly recommend this to parents also as the carseat feature is a big plus and one less thing to worry about!

Carla car rental. I DO NOT USE THIS APP THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. I downloaded the app and rented a car from February 7 through the 12, the vendor was Alamo at Fort Lauderdale airport. I went to the airport on the 7, picked up my car and all was well . Until I decided to have my cousin download the app and rent a car . When she got to the airport Alamo refused to honor the reservation and say they didn’t have a car . My cousin went in the app and cancelled that was I. February 9. She had paid for the no hassle fee. Since that day numerous emails were sent to Carla and she has not received her money back. Carla has a phone number that’s picked up by an answering machine . So absolutely not I do not recommend this app. And I am still trying to get my money back . DO NOT USE THIS APP THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY

Don’t waste Your time.. In the app there is an option to click... the under 25 option so of course I clicked it because I’m only 24. The issue is that when I went to pick up my rental that was advertised as $260 with my “age option” in mind is was actually going cost me over $600 for the rental because....well I’m not 25. This option should display some sort of indication of having to pay such a substantial amount of money if you are under the age of 25 and instead of notifying their customer of that I got charged the stupid $2.59 reservation fee plus I drove over there to not get a rental car. This is a very misleading app what’s the under 25 button there For anyway? It didn’t help me or notify me of any additional costs exceeding the actual price of the rental!

Just great. I need to fly regularly because of my job, and sometimes I need a car in a foreign city. Since I discovered Carla, it's been really easy and convenient to pick cars. I don't need to wait in lines anymore, I'm not being bullied by salesmen at counters, I'm not forced into buying extras I don't really need anymore. Carla is really transparent in their rental experience. I freely pick the car I want, and can refuse any extras without being bothered by scare-tactics they employ at rental counters. Just once I had a problem with a car from Carla, a minor accident, and Caroline was kind enough to call the insurance people for me as I had no idea what to do. I must have used it 7-8 times since I discovered it. Just great!

USE A KNOWN COMPANY! Not Carla. Long story short they stole $650 from me. I booked a car through the app with a specific price when I get to the airport and went to pick up the car. It turns out nobody knows about Carla therefore they were charging me extra fees (not 10 bucks! Another $300) for that reason I decided not to rent the car. I canceled the payment from my bank, but Carla insists on charging me the $650 even though no service was provide. To this day I still have a hold on my credit card. I’ve contacted Carla multiple times and they have chosen to ignore my messages. They know I didn’t rent a car and they choose not to give me my money back. I can only say they’re thieves.

TERRIBLE - WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. HORRIBLE company. I booked a car with them and they charged me. I called the company, Enterprise, who we were supposed to pick the car up from. They told us that they had no cars in stock for a week or more, so we cancelled the ride. I noticed some weeks later that the charge was posted in my account. I reached out for a refund, since THEY were not able to fulfill my rental car request, and they said they would not refund me. I issued a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and wanted to inform all of you potential customers of the kind of company that they are. Not cool guys, I don’t think I’ve ever had to leave a bad review for a company. Your consumers are not just money bags. $50 could make or break someone’s pockets. It’s rude and wrong. Do better and be better

Great Customer Service!. I was extremely nervous to be going through a third party service provider, but i was pleasantly surprised. Prices are much more affordable and the best part was the customer service. I initially made an error on my reservation and via the message board customer service I was given excellent assistance from Mert! This representative also answered all my other questions in addition to going above and beyond to give me all the information needed to ease my anxieties. Thanks to Mert, I can’t wait for my trip!

They made my reservation for a car in the wrong country. I made a reservation for a car in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Carla confirmed the correct location via email and in app. I later received an email from the rental place Carla booked (Avis) and the reservation was for Nova Scotia Canada. I contacted Carla to get the reservation fixed and they emailed me later that day and offered another reservation for the same date/time but at $10-$12 more expensive. Unfortunately, at this point, I was had already booked a reservation with another service because I needed the rental car for the following morning. So I asked Carla for a refund which they issued. I would trust this app more if: - Mistakes like this didn't happen. - If they caught the mistake on their own and fixed it days before the reservation date. - Or if they had an easier way for you to contact them like phone or live chat. Email support isn’t the most effective or reassuring method for communication when you’re trying to get mistakes like these fixed in a timely manner.

Just rent a car from an actual car rental company. I rented a car from 9am-4pm, but because it went over 24 hours I had to pay for two days, understandable. However, they need to improve that under 25 age button, because when people get to check out they’re budgeting off the price quoted. I was quoted $122, ended up paying $309 because when I got to the car rental place the under age fee was $72/day plus tax. Then on top of that my credit card fee shows the full payment from the rental car company, the deposit to this company. I glad other people had a good experience, but to save time and confusion for myself I’ll just remove the middle man.

Took my money and no car. I booked a car through Carla before my vacation. As I’m sitting in the plan I get a call I can’t pick up and they leave me a voicemail. It’s Hertz rent a car saying they can’t give me the car I booked two weeks ago tomorrow. No refund from Carla yet. So after my plane lands I try booking another car, I get to enterprise the next day to pick it up and they say “looks like you wanted the car reserved but it’s not payed for”?!?!?? At this point I still need a car, so I pay the $700 they charge me, why did I even use Carla if I ended up paying $1500 total for a car that was supposed to cost $400 on the Carla app? I need a refund for both the cars I booked through Carla, since neither of them actually got me a car to drive and I had to pay enterprise for a car. Don’t use this app, book directly through the car rental agency if you don’t want to be scammed

SCAM- JUST BOOK DIRECTLY WITH RENTAL CAR COMPANY. I booked using Carla because of its low prices. I thought it would emulate Turo’s service…. Boy was I writing. It’s a BOOKING service. That’s it. The app- after booking- informed me that the reservation had been made with Avis… something I could’ve done myself and saved $48. I still had to wait two hours at the airport to speak with an Avis representative. Avis told me that NONE of my reservation was paid. I called Carla- they agreed I had paid for a reservation. TWO CHARGES ($48 in total) on my account. I have called and emailed asking for a refund to no avail. I will have to dispute them with my bank. STAY AWAY. These fake companies are really a disgrace.

App tries to trick you into their up-sells. Carla is always trying to up sell you on their $6/day protection plan. The option screen comes up from the bottom. A normal user experience is looking to click it close but that does not exists. The only touch button is to purchase. Do not purchase if you don’t want it otherwise it’s $6/day and they will not refund it, just credit, which makes you have to use them again. Their customer is responsive but not compassionate. You have to slide the screen down. What’s even crazy is that protection plan screen comes up in the middle of making another reservation. This will confuse you to thinking it’s for the reservation you are trying to book. This is a deceiving practice and it’s buyer beware with these guys.

Great app that is all around easy to use. Carla is a great app that I love to use when traveling! I have always found convenience in using this app. It is cheaper than other options I have used in the past and makes the process very quick and to the point. I accidentally put in the wrong information and it wasn’t allowing me to change. I had to contact customer service and I was delighted to realize that it wasn’t a hassle at all like usual when dealing with customer service. She was very helpful and straight to the point! I would recommend this app to anyone who travels often and needing rental services.

Car rental simplified. I never thought booking and renting a car could be so easy! I absolutely love Carla. I have so many choices of different cars and they have all the major carriers and some I’ve never herd of. It’s so easy to use you can literally book a rental anywhere anytime. I’ve used Carla many times and never not even once have I had any issues and to top it off it’s not like most car rental apps it has no imposing advertising or annoying notifications. For me Carla is all I need they literally have thought of everything. 100% recommended!

SCAM!!!!. Fraudulent app, this is a scam. This app literally was created to rob peoples money. It creates fake promotions that don’t exist and can’t be honored with the car company which then makes the price that you paid in the app non existent. There is no customer service number so when you do try to get help you have to send an email to which no one answers. When they finally do they will not refund your money. Maybe give you a credit to use in their app so they can steal your money again…. They do this with fake promotions (skip the line , peace of mind promos that really don’t exist and that enterprise or any car rental company can honor); incorrect pick up times that forfeits your chance to getting to the rental place… this is the least of it. I’m disgusted that apple didn’t verify things with this app. Thousands of people have been robbed by this app. PLEASE GET THIS OFF THE APP MARKET

Do EVER BOOK 3rd Party. Nothing but broken promises with this application if I can give it zero stars I would give it that I made a reservation and I canceled within the designated time and I’m back-and-forth it’s almost bee three weeks I’m getting no help with my refund and nobody’s been able to help me. My issue is this why was I able to make a reservation at a pick up time of 10 PM at the location when clearly I arrive there at the counter and that place is closed right there should’ve been a stop if the business hours and they close at 9 PM or so and I’m allowed to make a reservation at 10 there should be somebody at that counter to attend me and now I’m asking for a refund and I cannot get a hold of anybody with this waste of time application don’t make reservations there beware

Thieves. This app dose nothing but rob you they are the biggest thieves out there. I try to rent a car I paid them just to book a car I went to pick the car up and did not receive the car the car rental place would not take my card even though my name was on it just as it is on my id the app sure took the card well I asked the app if I could get a refund on the money they took for booking the car and they said they couldn’t give me a refund said it was not there problem and on top of all that ever since I used that app they still charge my card every morning for more money all the positive reviews on here are most likely fake paid people to write them DO NOT USE THIS APP they don’t deserve no stars

Great App, really easy to use. I love the interface.. It’s a pretty easy to use app. It’s so easy to open the app, put in the information that you need to put in, and find cars in your area. The colors of the app are easy on the eyes as well. The app doesn’t just open up random ads all the time. Simple, no lag associate with anything. And even though the app is just to be used as needed, I find myself having a bit of fun. I associate that to the upsides of the app which equals to me having fun instead of being upset trying to use the app while it crashes every few seconds. 9.5/10

This app is broken and gives misleading information.. I paid for my car on the app for a short business trip. When I arrived at the address on the map and checked in with the attendant - I was informed that the app had made an error and booked my reservation to a different locations. The attendant insisted that there was nothing they could do about it. The location of the rental was a $50 uber ride away. Because of this I did not make it to my meeting on time and it made a terrible impression. To add insult to injury - the app does not offer refunds. On top of all of those issues - It has a worse user experience than public transit apps. While trying to submit my complaint to the company the app consistently bugged. After a few minutes of attempting to bypass the bug it started to feel like an internationally bad UX/UI to stop people from submitting negative responses.

This app scammed me for 200$!. After getting in an accident and totaling my vehicle I downloaded this app for a rental, when I saw they had good prices I jumped to make a reservation for the next morning! Only to realize I wouldnt be able to make it to the pick up the car because my ride was busy. So not even an hour after making the reservation i tried repeatedly to change the reservation but to no avail! So I cancelled the order (again within an hour or so of placing it) which was a 200$ Charge, It has been a week at least and I still have not received any service or a refund at all!!! This app just took my money and did not give me any service whatsoever!! So now I am stuck without a vehicle and down 200$! These people are scammers and I want my money back!
