Deus Ex GO Comments & Reviews 2026

Challenging and fun. I’ve enjoyed this game for several months. I love how each level builds on the next and that there is a storyline. The best part is the communities puzzles and the ability to design your own. A great deal of fun for the money. My only complaint is that I haven’t been able to load the community puzzles for the last two weeks. Not sure what happened.

It’s a solid puzzle game, but it feels lacking…. Okay, so normally I don’t really feel the urge to write reviews for apps unless they’re outstandingly good or bad. This is a exception to that sort of habit though. I’ve been a pretty big Deus Ex fan for quite some time now and I’ll be the first to admit I also really love puzzle games. I feel like this should’ve been my dream game, but it just feels like it’s missing something. It has an okay story I guess: nothing really to write home about in my eyes, especially when considering it’s a Deus Ex game. The graphics are nice to look at, and the in game editor is a very nice touch that adds the fourth star to my review. It just feels like the game is “empty” if that makes sense. Don’t get me wrong, if you like puzzles or Square Enix games you’re probably gonna love this app, but to me it feels incomplete and empty.

Deus Ex Go. I am not a big fan of puzzle games. I've only completed maybe 2-3 before playing this and the only other Go game I have is Hitman, so I can't compare this to the Laura Croft title, but Deus Ex Go is leaps and bounds more interesting than Hitman. Also, the tap/swipe to move makes the gameplay a LOT more comfortable. I wish that SE would update Hitman with this control setup. The story is interesting enough that if you're a fan of the games, it'll keep your attention, and the hacking mechanics add quite a bit of depth to the puzzles. The achievements also add quite a bit of replay value (I really wish they'd bring back the Special Events so I could get those last 6 achievements, though). I've never been this enthusiastic about a puzzle game, but Deus Ex Go will survive in my memory for years to come. And with the added 'create' mode where you can make your own stages is... SOOOOOO SWEEEEEEEET!!! I can't recommend this one enough.

Slick, high production puzzler. Another great addition to the Go series. Great visuals and incredible sound design. Thank you for circling back to update this with iPhone X optimization...it looks fantastic!

It’s back!. Thank you for resurrecting Deus Ex GO!

Keeps Crashing. Loved Lara Croft go. This app seems super nice, both on my old iPhone 7 and new iPhone X, it keeps crashing. Can’t even finish one stage :(

Surprisingly Different. I have played the other GO games. Hitman GO being the first, and although enjoyable, the lack of animation kind of turned me off from playing it that much more. I later played Lara Croft GO, which was an excellent game that was similar but added a variety of animations that made it more modern. I was expecting more or less the same from Deus Ex GO but was surprised by how it set itself apart by adding decent story elements. The animations in this one, along with art style makes it feel right at home with the other Deus Ex games. Overall, pretty impressed.

Perfect mobile game. I made a wish for a game I could play for two minutes or an hour and here it is.

LOVE THIS. If you like the GO platform, you are going to love this game.

Terrible on Apple TV. This game does not support the controller on Apple TV and the remote has probably got to be the worst way to play the game. Not only are the turns not retested by your finger properly, bit the single button controls make it even more difficult when to tap and when to press. More importantly it is super hard to control the character with the remote as your finger swipes register improperly within the game. It almost makes it a questionable Apple product. How would Apple approve this type of inaccurate gameplay. I’d give it zero stars for unplayability - again only on Apple TV, on the iPhone this game is fine.

It's harder than Hitman Go. But it's still a lot of fun. Worth a buy.

Worth the money. I was unwilling to buy it at first because it was five whole dollars, but I brought it anyways because I’m a huge fan of the Deus Ex series. And guess what? It was definitely worth the money. The gameplay is very simple, just swipe and tap. The design is simple and minimal and probably one of my favorite aspects of the game. The puzzles are fun and get increasingly challenging. The only complaint I have is that it’s battery-draining. Overall I’d rate a solid 9/10 :)

Go Jensen, Go!. Builds a story (and surprises) that keeps one immersed in the Deus Ex world. The micro animations capture Jensen's character, such as him admiring his nanoblades and tapping someone on the shoulder before striking them. Game did left the users to figure out new enemies & features for themselves. Offers no tips.

Good, but has one huge flaw. As a Deus Ex fan, I must say that this one is decent. The puzzle design is simple, but it can get tough. Even though I had lots of fun (still playing) it’s a bit ridiculous how there are pay to win options in the game I already paid for. Some of the puzzles are very hard, and it sometimes feels as though the game wants you to pay for a solution to a puzzle. Other than that gripe, the game is a bunch fun. It has stylish graphics, nice animations, and even a puzzle creator. Despite the microtransactions, I still recommend this to those who love puzzlers or to those who like the Deus Ex series.

Great on Ipad!. Square Enix has done an incredible job capturing the feel of their triple a games in a puzzler package. I loved Lara Croft Go and played it all the way through, and after playing Human Revolution I can say that this game definitely is a solid Deus Ex game. Deus Ex Go is solid through and through. The somewhat simplistic but amazingly stylized graphics complement the challenging but doable gameplay. As far as the in-app purchase hints, I do think that was a little bit of a low blow to buyers. But you can still play the whole game without hints (if you’re clever enough). And if you run out of hints, just look at a walkthrough. This isn’t a big deal, and certainly doesn’t warrant the loss of a star. I haven’t tried the level maker yet, but I’m looking forward to it.

deus ex go. The puzzles are fun and challenging but not too challenging, and I like that there’s also a story to accompany the game. My only complaint would be that at level 34, the music becomes really awesome and dramatic, making you feel like you’re on the verge of something big, but then that music just keeps on playing for the rest of the game and then that music just becomes boring. That is a small complaint, though.

Great Fun for what it is. If you’re looking for something crazy complex, this isn’t for you, but if you like trial and error puzzles, this game is a fun distraction.

Fix ICloud Sync - Lost ALL progress. I’m very angry about this as I purchased many IAP crates to help me increase my online ranking score which is now gone along with my single player campaign. None of the other ‘GO’ games have this iCloud issue and I EXPECT an immediate fix to this issue or restitution for all the IAP money I spent (no restore purchases button either). Terrible iCloud implementation for this game. After such PERFECT iCloud sync for Lara Croft Go I cant fathom how this got screwed up. This needs to be fixed ASAP!

Leech go. So they don’t mention you have to buy undos till you run out of them. I was just messing around with the game , seeing how the game mechanics work and by the third level it says I can buy undos! That is like a core gameplay mechanic. Imagine playing a Mario game and it says you ran out of jumps, would you like to buy some more. Ughh I hate this crap developers try to pull. It is getting deleted right away

Better than Hitman Go, Not as good as Laura Croft Go. I played Laura Croft first, it was an engaging puzzler. Challenging but solvable. I was looking forward to the other games in the family. After several chapters in Hitman I had no challenge, so I dropped it. Deus ex is acceptably puzzling, but does not match Laura Croft for complexity and challenge. If you’ve not yet played Laura Croft than choose it over this one, if you are looking for something to do after LC than this should do.

$4,bought@2018. another time

Decent game. Fun to play but drains the battery and my phone gets super hot!

Almost Perfect. 4 Stars just because they are trying to grab more money with IAP.

It keeps crashing!! It’s unplayable!! - FIXED. Recently, the game keeps crashing even before I make a move. I have reset my iPhone and tried to play the game again with the same result. My model is iPhone XS Max. Normally, it’s an excellent game worth five stars. Recently, though with the crashes, it is unplayable. The issue appears to be fixed. Revising rating back to five stars.

Hitman go w/ steroids. This is a great puzzle game. The animations are fluid and keep the game interesting. Hitman go would get boring because all the people in the game were immovable game pieces but this one makes the takedowns feel more rewarding. With that said though, what deus ex makes up for in animation it lacks in level design. Not how the grid systems are set up but more of the cosmetic things you see on the side. In comparison the levels were bigger and better completed The storyline isn't bad but doesn’t feel present with just having some on screen dialogue.

Please add a reset button. It sure would be nice to be able to reset your progress and play through that cool storyline, again. Yet, alas, it can’t be done.......yet?

Solid. Fantastic! Totally immersive.

Awesome mobile fit game.. I only knew Square Enix as Final Fantasy 7 super big fan. Now, I see they tried mobile and their step is greater than what I expected! GO GO GO! Looking forward to what they will come up with ones

Microtransactions and frequent crashes. Seems buggy and crashes a lot. It’s also asking for payment to undo steps. Without that, gameplay is cumbersome. It’s also impossible to reset progress - doesn’t show up in iCloud manage data. No thanks.

Great game that no longer works. I really loved this game, but now it crashes as soon as I touch the screen after opening a puzzle.

Enjoyable slice of Cyberpunk dystopia.. This was a very enjoyable puzzler that was just challenging enough not to be frustrating to play through. Square provided enough hints to help me through any really challenging levels. It only received four stars because Square charges money for any additional hint units.

Don’t need to know anything about Deus Ex to enjoy this. Never played Deus Ex but nonetheless this was huge fun puzzling out the correct solution.

A blast. I honestly did not think I’d like this. I’m a huge fan of the core games and was worried square was trying to make a quick buck. It’s a lot of fun feels simple but complex and so far feels very Deus Ex. Just to show my appreciation since I got this for free I’ll go pay for hitman go.

Best of the Go Trilogy. This is my favorite of the Go Trilogy. It was smooth take-down animations, and an engaging storyline with challenging puzzles. My main complaint is that after only 15-20 minutes of playing, my iPhone 7 Plus gets VERY hot, like worrying hot. So, I’m forced to enjoy it in short bursts lest my phone and/or hand begin to melt.

Fun but micro purchases. It would be nice if you could earn the steps back in time, and the tips.

One of the fewest that I really enjoyed ♥️. I enjoyed playing this game and got addicted 😅. Please is there’s another version or something. What made this game very enjoyable that it has no ads at all!!! You can enjoy playing the full game without any distractions. They have reached a professional level and they deserve to be the best in the area. Keep going guys. I support you to the end.

Fun game but.... Loved the puzzles and graphics—better than the other Go games. Could do without the f-bombs, though, not exactly kid-friendly in that regard. Giving it 4 stars for that.

It’s worth it. It’s a jump above the original Hitman puzzle game with more interactive items and animations, where the Hitman puzzle was more like a table top game with game pieces this is more animated.

Fun. I have been playing the game for a few years. After playing the main story line, there are gazillions of user-contributed scenarios, some trivial and others deep. It is fun.

Great Game - But Read Below. This is a great game (and series, all the GO games are great). The studio that made these games was purchased, then shut down, with the games soon to follow. After 4 years of no updates, they put out a small update on all 3 games (with no patch notes, of course). These updates will make these games unable to even launch in the near future. It’s a very scummy tactic, but not unprecedented in the mobile space - see Ubisoft with Rayman Jungle/Fiesta Run. Again, love these games, but Embracer Group deserves no love for the decisions they’ve made here.

Go Trilogy. I’ve bought this game in a pick with the other three Go games and I’ve got to say this is probably my favorite one of the three, it’s a good story fun mechanics and puzzles that aren’t that tough and definitely worth the time

Unplayably slow and laggy on iPad M1 Pro. It is amusing that this game does not run smoothly on the most powerful tablet!

Great Go Series Game. Difficult and fun

Fun, but slight issue. For some reason I can no longer exit the campaign, I’ve already beaten it and now the only buttons is too see my menu screen, the campaign, and the title screen from the beginning

Great game. This game is fun to play. The puzzles are challenging and it has a good story. I would like the option to reread the story in order to review what has happened so far.

Fun!. In order: Tomb Raider: Go, Most Challenging and Graphical Deus Ex: Go, Graphical, less of challenge has story Hitman:Go, Kind of dull, a bit stiff, not much story.

Neat Puzzle Mechanics, Great Execution!. I’m loving this so far. The puzzles aren’t too hard or too easy, and the interface and presentation is very console-like. It feels totally legit and like something I’d play on my Vita!

Nice. Nice puzzle. not sure if it is worth the money.

Great game. So much fun & endlessly intriguing.

Very challenging. Very fun game very challenging. Will keep you entertained if you’re bored. Can’t give five stars yet because I’ve only played a few levels.

So well done. Just buy it. Amazing game.

Deus Ex: The Fall is vastly superior to this. Disappointing that we get overtly simple & primitive IOS games like this, when there had been a fully-fledged 1st-person version of Deus Ex on IOS, the Fall.

Simple but fun game. Pretty good

Michael. All three "Go" games are brilliant. Download them immediately. Bon travail, Square-Enix Montreal!

Good puzzle game. Enjoyable as a puzzle game, just don't expect serious Deus Ex.

A worthy add on to the franchise. Makes good use of the deus ex world but nothing overly new for the people that have paid the other GO games

Recommended. Like the other Go games, this one is great. If you like this then get Hitman Go as well.

Good game. The only problem is this game take a lot of energy from my phone battery :(

The best. No ads extremely fun

Great game. I just left a review about my disappointment with hitman go, but with Deus Ex Go the square enix team made up for the game play of the said predecessor. Much more fun to play, better gfx and puzzles. I will definitely enjoy playing this game for a while I think.

It Goes. For fans of the Go series and Deus Ex lovers it's a no brainer.

Sleek but simplistic. I don’t understand how this game has so many glowing reviews. Production values are great, but the puzzles are fairly simplistic and requires very little thought. Certainly not good value for money.

Good turn based puzzle game. Levels are short but well made, also can unlock bonus praxis kits for mankind divided!

Fantastic addition to the GO series and spin-off within the Deus Ex series.. Sharp yet simple game design with excellently designed puzzles and feels connected and true to the Deus Ex series.

Cool. Fun game. Quite addictive. Nice graphics and interesting tasks. I enjoy the puzzles, neutralising the threats and as a 70 year old it helps keep my mind active and focused.

Great game but a battery hog. Game is fun and slickly made but is a serious battery drain. Phone gets very hot after a few minutes play and the battery loses about 1% charge per minute of play. Hopefully they fix this in an update.

Challenging. Fun game. But I'm having problems with world map. Won't connect. Says there no wifi.

Awesome!. Nice graphics, great little puzzles.

Super polished puzzle. This is a puzzle game with the polish and feel of an action game. Realtime games can be great but they generally keep things pretty simple because we're not that smart when time is short. These games (Hitman, Lara Croft & Deus Ex Go) have nice graphics and even cutscenes but allow time to think so we actually do feel like we're outsmarting something rather than shooting it until it falls over. If you e

More please. Love the series of GO games - just wish there were more levels to solve so they didn't end so quickly. Dues Ex Go is trickier than Lara Croft Go though I still really love the board-game styling of Hitman Go.

Black Ice Slick.... The aesthetic is contagious and really eschews the Deus Ex universe even if the game play is more structured around stringent puzzle solving. Somebody needs to get Disney Interactive to hand Square Enix the TRON license. The sound in this game would bode well for an adaptation of that property as well. My first GO game and am loving it.

Deus ex and chill. Currently playing in maths class and writing the review in the same class great game.

Awesome game. It's a must have game just like Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go. Jensen's moves look so cool!

Another excuse to Go!. Fun puzzles. If you enjoyed Lara Croft or Hitman Go, you'll enjoy this.

Really quite awesome.. This is my first foray into the world of Deus Ex, but I loved Lara Croft GO so much that I had to try this as well. And it was fantastic! The presentation is top notch: I especially love how the music becomes more tense when an enemy has you in their sights. The storyline is more for people familiar with the Deus Ex franchise, but still gripping even for a newbie like me. The puzzles are tricky (mainly because of how the augments work) but the difficulty progresses beautifully, and new game elements are introduced in a way that makes their purpose clear. You even get a choice between two different endings. But the best feature by far is the level editor. After finishing the story mode, there’s even more fun to be had with player-made levels, both solving them and building your own. I haven’t started on those levels yet, but I look forward to more high-tech, brain-bending action.

Excellent. I haven't played any of the other 'GO' games, and bought this because Deus Ex is great and it was 60% off. Great game for the reduced price, a few good puzzles and some levels that have challenged me. Story is so so, but overall good fun

Great game, but OVERHEATS. As many have mentioned previously, this game just heats my iPhone 6s Plus up. Like... dangerously hot. Maybe it's only meant for ipad.

Solid and beautiful. It's even better than Lara go

Even the missus plays. Great for non-console gamers who want to experience the Deus Ex lore.

Deus Ex iPhone. Everything needed to enjoy the Deus Ex world outside of the games. The puzzles are clever, the hacking mechanics are nicely integrated, and the story is compelling.

Really clever yet tight game. Nails the aesthetics while keeping with simple, yet effective, mechanics. Has the depth that Fallout Shelter should have had.

Amazing and Puzzling Experience. Huge fan of the Deus Ex Series, and got this for free when Square Enix posted the notification. Much better than expected initially. It’s got quite a fair storyline to it, and the game is challenging, yet fun to solve nonetheless. Slightly wish some levels were larger and had more than one way of solving them, similar to the base games, but I can see how that would be difficult to implement. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Worth every penny!. Unique gameplay and beautiful graphics as well! I definitely recommend it!

One of the best puzzle games. Update 2: Not sure how this changed or how I misunderstood, but it now seems to be possible to restart community levels without using paid items. Back to 5 stars. Having access to near-infinite community levels (ranging in quality from useless to brilliant) is great. Original review below: After Lara Croft GO -- which had amazing presentation but easier, more casual puzzles -- Deus Ex GO returns to something closer to Hitman GO gameplay. Some very challenging puzzles that take a while to figure out (when going for perfects at least). While I liked Lara Croft GO, I prefer it this way. In my opinion these are some of the best puzzle games around. I was disappointed by the relatively low number of levels, but the daily levels make up for that [edit: this has changed. See update above].

I never asked for this.... There are actually people saying this has "bad graphics"? It's an iOS game, not a PC or console title. Also it's looks fricken gorgeous (the static, etc is obviously intentional because it's Deus Ex).. I've only just recently jumped on board Lara Croft GO and Deus Ex GO.. Both are fantastic. Brilliant work, SE Montreal!

Love a puzzle. Some tricky parts to this.

Another great 'GO' puzzler. Loved Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO. This one is just as great!

Wonderful. I liked Lara Croft more but this is still a joy to play. It nails the aesthetic, music, and I like it that this can link to Mankind Divided.

Has that "just one go" feeling. It takes a little while to get your head around how the puzzles work. Not having any instruction from the outset, starts you out as a super cool infiltrator with no idea how to infiltrate. Stay with it though, once you start to get the hang of how things work, the puzzles are great fun and challenging enough to keep you trying again and again until you succeed.

Tutorial would have been good. Awesome game play and problem solving. However some small effort at a tutorial would have been appreciated

Go puzzler. Another great puzzle game by square enix.

Mr. After playing Lara Croft go and hitman go, I also really enjoyed this one, all were a bit different and I liked the style and graphics!

Simple, but enjoyable.. Don't expect an in-depth DX game with loads of augs: we are talking about iOS after all. It's a fun game none the less, and solid titles like this deserve your monetary (and review!) support.

Worth the price. Continuing with the successful "GO" formula Square Enix gives us another fun adaption of a classic franchise. More challenging than Lara Croft GO with a gorgeous Cyberpunk aesthetic.

Simply Amazing. Not many mobile games these days are able to give you an enjoyable experience, even with a purchase fee and in-game purchases. THIS game however, only charges you the purchase fee, and presents to you an amazing story, intriguing introductions to the latest game's main characters, and the perfect puzzle game. Keep up the excellent work!

Awesome.... Th Deus Ex franchise does not ever disappoint...keep up the excellent work...

Great game. Awesome GO puzzles in the style of Deus Ex, great graphics and gameplay.

Great but.... Great game. Fantastic game but it burns through your battery. I can feel my phone turn HOT across its back within a minute of starting this game. iPhone 6s Plus. I don't understand why this game should put such a strain on my device.

A pity. Great game, but the new update has spoiled it for me. I enjoyed weekly challenge and was free to experiment. Now you can't replay or experiment without using the new undo function which to me looks like a money maker. I have no interest in playing anymore. Others may like the change I guess.

Another great GO game. Much praise to Square Enix for another awesome GO game!!! By fair my favorite out of the other titles. So appeasing to the eyes.

Amazing game you can solve in a hour!. Great game from the GO franchise. Graphics are crisp and neatly done. Control is spot on. The base game is free. Don’t bother getting any of the IAP. You can beat the game in an hour for free by following the YouTube walk through. Good and feee way to spend an hour of your time.

Great Game!. This game is really awesome, but it takes a lot of battery, and should be rated 14+. Other than that, It's an amazing game!

Génial !!!. Jeu qui permet de se casser la tête tout en s’amusant. Et puis j’adore la trame sonore.

No live puzzles. Great game but no more live puzzles!!!

Great game. Deus Ex forever!

iPhone 7. iOS 12. the game crashes as soon as I open one mission. I’m stuck on level 19. The game opens fine but as soon as I touch the screen it crashes once I’m in the mission. Please fix this. I paid for this game and now can’t even play.

Sick game!. Great strategic elements.

Amazing puzzle!!!. I love the puzzles and game design, I also appreciate that you guys add a daily challenges. 😍😍😍

I want a refund. This game is ok it's almost the same puzzles over and over and the very last one has literally no puzzle at all it drains my iPad and almost cracked the screen it got that hot this is a waste of my money I want a. Refund

Good update for iPad pro 2021. nice

This is so cool!!!. Nice game it is so fun to play it. Great game

I hate this game.... IT CRASHES SO OFTEN THAT IT IS UNPLAYABLE!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Great game!. I like the design the concept and the playability of this game. It has very simple and intuitive controls and the puzzles are logical and not annoyingly hard.

Great addition to the series.. Really good puzzles and strong storyline.

Nice game. Nice puzzle game. The first couple of rounds a way too easy but it gets to an interesting level after. A couple of crashes after going to sleep and sometimes a little slow on load. Nevertheless a very good game! Hope to get another series of levels.

Yves. Wow super cool, bonne énigme. Merci a toute l’équipe 🍷🍷

One thing is missing- Customization. Being able to unlock different outfits for Adam would be sick or even different character for non-story missions (JC, Paul, Alex) other than that it’s a gud game

Great puzzle game. Great puzzle game

Great puzzles, but no instructions. The puzzles are fun, but there are no instructions on how the game works so you have to google it to have any clue how the game works.

Great game, BUT... Great game, but atm, I cant play for more than a level or two without my phone getting outrageously hot. Ive looked into it, and many other people are having this problem too; hence, I cant play as much as Id like to, otherwise its a an awesome GO game, like all the rest!

Great like the other GO games.. Great look, great music, good challenge.

Amazing but. A really awesome game but very hard

Great puzzle game!. Being someone who loves everything from the Deus Ex universe, I really appreciated this puzzle game. I just wish we could get Mac versions of the original game, along with Human Revolution, Mankind Divided, and Invisible War.

Spying. I don’t know why a game that I paid for needs to have such a terrible privacy policy and terms of service. It really seems unreasonable and if I had known of them before paying I wouldn’t have gotten this game.

Premium strategy game on the go !. Challenge my mind and help pass the time

Nice. Great game. Graphics are good and puzzles keep you working.

Great game, preserves Deus Ex spirit on iOS.. I love the last few games from SEMontreal and how they've been ported to mobile while preserving the spirit of their AAA console counter parts. Strong buy recommendation!

Great puzzle game. Great game. Just eats battery fast.

Doesn't work. Bought on my iPhone 4 and it just keeps on crashing! Please fix or give my money back

good but.... the game is good after playing a few missions,i already feel like there is not alot of depth to the gameplay, relatively simple. story seems ok, but i wish we could use more like the environment or u could find secrets at least im still early into the game like mission 8. but i would have love to see more interaction or use of weapons other then your fists and turrets. hopefully there will be good stuff that will apppear later into the game. my biggest issue with this game is the fact that Its absolutely destroying my battery. you play this game for 20 min... hope u have a charger close by because ull be lucky if you got anything left, after 30 min it will be time to put my iphone 6 in powersaving mode because i had so little juice left. my iphone 6 also get very warm to the touch to the point where it gets unconfortable after a little while. other then that the game runs smoothly,m i have no bugs to report so far, story seems inline with the typical Deux Ex stuff.

Polished. High-quality game, well-designed

This is a great as the other two puzzle games. I love these kinds of gave they keep me thinking on my feet.

Great puzzler!. Well thought and enjoyable puzzles

Cool game but it is killing my battery!. See title...

Good game. Fun!

Best go game. This is the best go game in the series, if you like the other two definitely get this one and even if you haven't played the other or didn't like the others still try it, it is awesome!!!!

Puzzle Maker is Game Changing. The latest patch brings this to a 5 star rating. The community can make their own puzzles for everyone to play now. Some creators are sadistic, but the potential is through the roof. — I like the campaign more than Hitman GO but it feels less like a game than Lara Croft GO did. Limited amount of moves isn't a fun challenge and there's no reward for getting even lower than the limit. Dialogue is unskippable and the move counter doesn't stay on screen during first try.

Excellent 'GO' like the other!. Another great 'GO' game. With new variety compared to Lara croft and hitman. I want something with prince of Persia next!

Love it. Very fun and addictive in simple terms

Resource hog. The game is great, but performances are somewhat poor; eats through a battery in no time (on a 6S) and even causes my phone to heat up if I play more than an hour or so. Even managed to overtax my display drivers. Still a great game, just remember to keep the device plugged in...

Fun and challenging. Like other go games.

Nice game 👍🏻. Much wow👏🏻

Sorry.... Looks cool but when I opened it crashed right away

Amazing!. Great thinking game. Very fun to play.

Nice game. Very addictive

Great game. My only small complaint is that when new mechanics are introduced you have to figure it out through experimentation, like the remote hacking with the cloak. Can't help thinking that promotes buying the add on packs...

Awesome But Drains Battery Fast .... The game is : - well made, great graphics - compelling story - Awesome designs BUT: - I play on a 64gb iPhone6 and after about 15-20 minutes i will have lost around 20-25% battery. (Only Lara croft and hitman don't drain at all like that) Played two hours on a span of three days) That is my downside. Completed 25 story levels yet. Review based on that information

No sound. Great game!

Bravo. Ce titre est tout à fait à la hauteur des deux autres titres de la série, Laura Croft go, et hit man go. Encore bravo.

Very Intelligent Game!. Great!

Great game BUT..... Just for some background, this was the first game of this series I have ever played. So while some people might already be familiar with how this game is played, I am not, and trying to learn what I was supposed to do was very challenging at first. It did not give any directions at all whatsoever, it basically left you to your own ideas. It does not tell you what certain things do. Like the shields, and the computers, I had to figure those out for myself. It also does not explain that there is a time limit on the shields. I do like the challenge of trying to figure out the puzzles. The graphics are cool, and the storyline is OK, but it could be better. I also like the fact that you have infinite lives, and you are not on a time limit (at least from what I have seen so far). I also enjoy the challenge of trying to solve the puzzle in the correct amount of steps. I had my eye on this game for a while, but it was too expensive for me to buy, considering that I am unfamiliar with this series. So I waited for the price to come down, and when it did I bought it. I think it was well worth the price, it is a good little game, but it definitely needs some work.

Amazing but.... I love this game except for the fact that it says the f word multiple times i don't understand why it's rated 12+ please fix this also there should be coins you earn after you complete a level that you can use to buy solutions I was thinking a solution should cost like 5 coins and you get one coin after a level or you can watch a video for a solution if you do this I will give it five stars but other than that this is my second favorite go (Lara craft go is my first)

Highly recommended!. I've played all of Square's GO games, and though I love them all, this is the one I'm always coming back to. The other games end when you finish story mode, but this game continues indefinitely with community-created levels and the ability to invent some of your own! I was concerned before I bought the game because of the 1-star reviews, but I have to say my experience has been top-notch. I'm running this game on an iPhone 5s and I have zero problems with battery life, overheating, crashing, or lag. There is a micro-transaction system to buy undos, resets, and solutions, but you can earn those things in-game. I've built up such a stockpile I'll never need to buy a thing. Overall, fantastic!

Not working on iphone x .... Not working turns off on mission 2 at the beginning ....

Oh My.. this game is what I have been waiting for. first of all the graphics are beautiful on my iPad Air 2. the music is simply amazing and really immerses me. this is one of the only games I play with my volume turned up to 60%. the story so far is really interesting. it is similar to Deus Ex The Fall with the element of mystery. the puzzles are really back and forth with the challenging aspect. some I just zoom right through first try under the move limit, others I get completely stumped on and have to use one of my hints. I just love this game so much and it is by far the best go title I've played so far.

Fun but limited. The other "Go" installments have been absolutely fantastic in every way. Intuitive play, challenging puzzles, great art and level design, etc.; however, this game feels a bit of a decline in scope and length. Almost like its main purpose was to be a vehicle to promote Mankind Divided (which is awesome btw, highly recommend it). The others had so much more put into them that I was a bit disappointed in this. They included free daily levels to bolster its longevity, which are nice, but without the bigger "feel" to the levels, it becomes a chore rather than a feature to look forward to. Worth a play imo, but check out the studio's other offerings if you want the real experience.

Great presentation, no heart. Pros: +Affordable, worth its price, microtransactions are entirely optional. +Music and Sound Effects are great. +Artwork and especially animations are very well polished +Excellent dialogue Cons: -Very heavy battery drain -The game will only last a couple of hours -Very thin on dialogue and story My biggest complaint about this game is that it has no heart. You play as Adam Jensen, a man whose limbs were largely replaced by mechanical implants which make him far stronger, tougher and faster than a normal human being. Except in this game, he isn't; he can sneak around enemies and take them out by surprise, but if even the most basic guard spots you, you are incapable of harming him whereas he can take you out with ease. Jensen's physical ineptitude is jarring- as are the out-of-bounds zones in the different stages. They stick out like a sore thumb, and look completely disjointed from the stage proper. This is not a Deus Ex puzzle game- it's a puzzle game with a coat of Deus Ex paint on top. It's a good game and I don't regret buying it, but it's definitely not great.

Deep puzzle stealth. Combines the best elements of the Deus Ex series into a thoughtful puzzle experience. The graphical style is on point and the gameplay is solid. Use stealth augmentations to sneak past unsuspecting guards, hack into computerized weapons systems, and use your blades to perform silent takedowns. Experiment with each level to discover the most efficient solution or use your own preferred tactics. Well worth the price for another excellent "Go" game.

Great app and gives extra praxis kits. I'm playing DE:MD on the hardest difficulty so I need all the praxis kits i can get plus the puzzles are challenging and if you're a fan of the DE universe this game's storyline adds to the lore Edit: Changed from 5 to 4 stars b/c like others have said, the app has a substantial drain on the battery...actually "substantial" would be an understatement, its more like "nuclear meltdown". Battery aside it's a great app

Very fun game, but crashes can make it frustrating. The game itself is solid and very engaging. The problem is the game seems to crash pretty consistently if you leave the app and try to go back in. It has been the most aggravating when I am playing before bed and while reading the in game text the screen shuts off because I haven't touched it. Then I reopen the game to have it crash and I need to restart the level.

👎🏻. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Good enough. For the "go" series, this one ranks higher than Hitman but lower than Lara Croft. Hitman Go became a slog after a while - even as they added new enemy types, the general puzzle dynamics were the same. The levels were repetitive and required several playthroughs to achieve the different completion requirements. I was very tired of it by the end. Lara Croft Go was a revelation. The multi-stage puzzles, the central section where you were incrementally opening a locked door, the culmination in a great boss fight - the whole thing felt coherent. The puzzle dynamics, with different enemy types, multiple levels, rolling bolders, etc. worked really well. The lack of a "minimum move" dynamic meant that the puzzles stood on their own, they were interesting to work through. I was sad when I finished this one. Deus Ex, as mentioned, is between the two. The puzzles, and puzzle dynamics are better than Hitman. Still, the puzzles are short and mostly easy - toward the end we were finally approaching the appropriate level of difficulty. Still, they layered on a "minimum move" goal to try to add difficulty to puzzles that were too easy - this is an unfortunate crutch. They put a lot of work into the graphics and animations here, which are cool, but ultimately not what all this is about. It would be appreciated if the more important aspects of the game were better tended to. The story was mildly interesting but ultimately was a basic outline with an uninteresting "decision" to be made at the end. And I don't know why they felt the urge to drop the F-bomb over and over. An unfortunate decision for an experience that didn't need it at all. In the end it is about puzzle design. This was "good enough". I enjoyed it, I'm done, and I'm moving on.

Vulgar Language Alert!. Great game for all the reasons mentioned in other reviews. Be warned that the 'plot line' of the game has characters using R-rated language. Game makers should disclose this in the ratings section (isn't in there as if this review date), or include a 'clean language' setting in a future update. This issue can also be sidestepped by simply changing the language options to a foreign language the player doesn't speak (in my case French was a good choice). Players won't be able to follow the plot, but the plot is not relevant to game play anyway, so no big loss there (except for a loss in production value for the game as a whole)....

Dues Ex Fan - Love Go Version. This is challenging and exciting. I've been waiting for a while since Square Enix Montréal (Bon travail, mon amis!!) revealed that they were completing a Go version! I've been a huge fan of the Dues Ex game series for YEARS, this will help ease the need for the upcoming release of the next installment of the official game. This Go version has elements of the game that fans will love; while bringing into the fold a new group of fans. It is a bit tricky at first play when you are trying to figure out the specific moves and directions without having a tutorial; but, that adds to the fun challenge. Merci beaucoup!

Nice. Nice puzzle. not sure if it is worth the money.

5 star game with two irritating flaws. Very well made and enjoyable entry to the GO series. It has two flaws. One major and one that's just annoying. 1) This game devours the battery on my iPhone 6s. 30 minutes is enough to drain it. I don't have this issue with any other app. 2) The UI needs to let you skip cut scenes you've already viewed. This might seem picky, but when you're trying to get gold in a level, it is beyond tedious to wait out the slow dialogue.

Great addition to Go family. Nice job, devs! I'm not familiar with the Deus Ex series, but Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go were fantastic (I'm partial to Hitman, though). I sprang for this to show my support for the series, and I have to say I love it. It has more in common with Hitman than Lara, but it's very much its own thing. Definitely worth buying! Can we get some new Hitman levels while yer at it?

Another Solid GO Title. If you love Deus Ex and/or the GO titles, this game is going to rock for you. It's awesome. The story is cool, but brief and not all that deep. It's intriguing, but you barely scratch the surface before the game is over. Speaking of which, the game is pretty brief. Lara Croft GO and Hitman GO both took me about a week or intermittent gaming sessions to beat. Deus Ex GO took me about 2 days. However, it seems like they are going to be supporting it with additional content (new levels) for free on a weekly / daily basis. So, maybe the length isn't a problem? Anyway, gorgeous game, fun puzzle mechanics, neat story, lots of fun. Oh, one last thing, my iPad Pro 9.7 runs BLAZING HOT while playing this game. Just FYI . . .

$4,bought@2018. another time

Great game but.... The gameplay is solid and is an absolute joy to play but it is terribly optimized. I have an iPhone 6 Plus and after 20 minutes of gameplay I was down 25% of my battery. This is not a game you can play on the go without having somewhere to charge. Further it makes the CPU very warm. The graphics are good but nothing that should cause the CPU/GPU to work so hard.

EXCELLENT GAME. I have made it to the secret lab and have to say I have enjoyed this puzzle game a lot. I think my $4.99 is well spent here and will continue to be happy with this game. I'm looking forward to Deus Ex Mankind Divided and if the console game is as much fun as the mobile game I think we are all going to be in for a great game when released this coming week. Good job devs!

The best GO game yet!. This game is amazing. The GO games are always fun strategy games but Deus Ex takes it to another level. The stage design is beautiful and it actually has a little storyline to keep you interested. My only complaint is the drain on battery life. I have a 6S+ and it will eat through 20% of my battery life within a 15 min play period. But that's what makes the colors and animations so beautiful, it's using every bit of the A chip to deliver great, seamless gameplay. I just make sure to play fully charged or plugged in. More stages please!

Five stars if language were cleaner. Thoroughly enjoying the game! It shows that much thought was put into it. So I don't understand why the dialogue had to be so lower class. There are so many words to choose from, so why did the developers have to resort to vulgarity? If I don't use it in my speech and I wouldn't want to hear it used in someone else's speech, I wouldn't want to recommend a game that uses it. Other than that, I'm loving the puzzles!

This game is bomb!!!. In a big fan of the Deus Ex franchise and Lara Croft Go, so naturally when the two came together I needed to own it. It's not only fun, it's just challenging enough to make it feel worth your time. And the visuals and animation are top notch adding a distinct sense of action/adventure to its puzzle play style. As a fan I downloaded this game immediately after I saw the trailer... okay... I read a review first (of course) but it scored high and I was going to download it eventually anyway. Good gameplay elements, excellent animation, and the perfect story length for a trip. Replay ability could be better as there aren't trophies or additional skins to unlock like in Lara Croft Go, but the daily additional levels add to the experience. So enjoy that while it lasts. Or you could always put the game down for a month and jump back into it after you've forgotten all the puzzle solutions.

Tightly Designed Puzzle Game that Burns Battery. This is a fun little game that emphasizes the composition of just a few small design elements. Each level puts together a hand full of challenges in new ways, building upon what you've learned. Consequently, the game makes you feel clever when you learn to see an existing hazard in a new way, and makes you want to see what the next level brings. The only downsides is that the story is quite mediocre and the game burns through your battery in minutes.

GREAT ON IPAD. PENCIL YEAP

Tried and True. I think by this point it's safe to say that the GO team (not to be confused with Pokemon GO...) has worked out a formula that can uniquely adapt itself to any franchise. These games are fun and different enough to keep you interested. I love that this one has a story! The game has great sound and visual effects. Absolutely stunning! Great job guys.

My first Go game. This is my first Go game... and I honestly only downloaded because it's Deus Ex, and I'm super pumped up for Mankind Divided. With that being said, I'm enjoying the puzzle solving in the game. It kind of feels like the way I played Human Revolution and how I'll likely play Mankind Divided... solve the puzzle and work through the game with a minimal body count. This game supposedly allows you like a Square Enix account so you can use Praxis Kits earned in DE:Go with Mankind Divided, but I'll have to wait till Aug 23 to confirm that. The developers did a good job with this game and I will be giving Tomb Raider Go and Hitman Go a run because of how this game turned out. Well done!

Great game. So much fun & endlessly intriguing.

Nice Stylish Puzzler. A solid puzzle game with very nicely executed theme, like Hitman and Lara Croft GO. Doesn't have the hidden treasure, which fit Lara Croft theme well, but I personally wasn't into. Also doesn't seem to have the multiple challenge types that made Hitman levels replayable. I'm still in the Story mode (which is new), and there seems to be at least another mode available, so I expect that to take the place of the challenges. If you want a casual puzzle with style, any of the GO series is great, so pick the one with the theme that appeals the most and try that one first. They're all good.

Fun, but the Go series is losing steam. As a fan of Hitman and Lara Croft Go, it seems like this entry is more streamlined and sometimes not very challenging. This game puts a burden on my iPad, killing the battery after an hour, and whenever I exit the game and try to play later, the audio won't work in the game until I restart the device. I waited until the price dropped before buying this game because as I suspected, the Go series is getting cheaper and much more shallow. If we can have something like Hitman Go again, it would justify spending a little more on these games instead of being harassed with micro transaction nonsense.

Game itself is fine, but kills battery. On an iPhone 6S. The game plays fine, and it's a lot of fun. But it doesn't take long for my device to start heating up. My battery went from 90% to 80% in only 3 levels. It's an attractive game, but I don't see anything here that would warrant that level of CPU/GPU activity. I want to play more, but not at the expense of several hours' worth of idle battery life for a few minutes of play.

Mobile Gaming Perfected. Deus Ex: GO is a another hit from the same studio that gave us Hitman and Lara Croft of the same series. The distillation of gameplay mechanics from those respective series' are done justice here as each game does a great job at introducing you to their features. Deus Ex: GO is a great example of that, featuring hacking, stealth and augmented combat all representative of its console counterpart, but introduced in a manner that is both friendly to the mind and easy to execute. Level designs are the tutor, and the player finds themselves eased into more and more complex challenges, using Jensen's abilities and your own wit as the weapon to surpass them. This is a must own for anyone that appreciates a polished, beautiful gaming experience on the 'GO'.

Great game, needs to hire an intern. Continuing the series of "go" games, Deus Ex Go is everything I wanted - fun action and engaging puzzles. I have a minor quibble with one level where you use your blue pyramid to shoot an opponent, it took me a while to realize that is what I had to do mostly because it was the only level in the game which used that mechanic. So why three stars? Because they need to hire an intern and have them fix the audio pref button. The game features music and sound effects that are very well done. And if you would like you can chose to only play effects, or for the game to be silent. But tomorrow when you launch the app to play the daily puzzle, the sound and music will be back on. Every time you re-launch All the intern needs to do is save the setting and load it at launch. Until they hire an intern, this is not a game you can pull out and play discreetly.

Brain tester for the challenge loving!!. I have been a console gamer for 16 years and played/still playing DeusEx games. This mobile version surprisingly captures the hacking portion of the actual game and puts it into a fun and challenging mobile format without taking away from the title. Great game to play and highly recommend!!!

The Legacy Continues. The Square Enix Montreal team continues to put clever puzzlers reimagined from classic action games. Hitman and Lara Croft were and remain excellent titles, and Deus Ex Go extends their streak. As some reviews have indicated, its initial campaign is rather easy in comparison to the first two games, but after completing it, it seems they were going for a path of slowly introducing new enemies and obstacles to prepare for their weekly new release of 5 levels. By combining the different enemies with their own means of tracking our hero Denton, completing the level, especially in the minimum steps necessary to earn a gold badge, is a more worthy challenge. These weekly new levels will give us a solid puzzle game that is very replayable for hopefully some time.

Super fun game, but.... This has quickly ascended to the top of my favorite games. Love the storyline, puzzles and gameplay. Drawbacks: this game EATS battery like an unsupervised adolescent in a candy store. Seriously. With 5 minutes of gameplay, I'll lose 25% of my battery power. My phone also gets irregularly hot. I can identify it with this game because it's only when I play this game that the battery drains and the phone becomes hot to the touch. Not sure why it does this, but I can't imagine it being anything positive.

Amazing game. get addition content if you have Deus Ex Mankind devided. I love the Deus Ex universe. Popular in comics, games, and novels. I was so happy when i heard they were going to make a Deus Ex Go! made but the same people who got best mobile game of the year for making Lara Croft Go! and Hitman Go! all are amazing, fun, and bring a new spin to mobile games. I saw this coming i email the makers of these games and told them they made amazing games and that Deus Ex is a must little did i know it was already in the pool and they aim to please.

Deus Ex Go: A Review.. Simply put, Deus Ex Go, and the other Go games, is a breath of fresh air from generic mobile games. However, does follow a free games style of pay to win, which is way out of place for a $5 game. I'm seeing more puzzle games similar to these, but nobody has quite done it as well as the boys over at Square Enix, by making fun gameplay and a polished feel. In Deus Ex Go, you play as Adam Jensen, as well as all the other Deus Ex games. However, Deus Ex Go doesn't focus a whole lot on story as much as it masters the golden-robotic feel from the other games. Every animation, attack, and hack feels just as fresh and polished as the next. Square Enix goes with an if it ain't broke, don't fix it attitude with this titles map/surroundings. They look very similar to the other game's surroundings, especially Mankind Divided and Human Revolution. The gameplay is very similar to Hitman Go, but on steroids. You still have to solve puzzles, stealthily attack/dodge enemies, and get to the end of the level, but with new, fun additions. Most importantly hacking. This addition in the "Go" trilogy would've been by far the best, was it not for strange pay to win elements. Knowing you already have to play $5, paying extra for help on levels or re-dos is quite annoying, and had me stop playing for a little bit. All in all, if you are buying a new device to play games, look no further than Deus Ex Go and the other Go games. Just watch out for some in app purchases.

The Worst In The "GO" Series. Dues Ex GO is one of the least impressive in the "GO" series, choppy animation and sound loops from dying over and over again. Dues Ex has always been about choice of play style, stealth, action-oriented, or both. There is no choice in how you play, nor much of a choice at all. I understand that this is a "GO" title and people who play mobile games usually don't want a characters life story and depth. This is a pickup and play title and for those who don't know what Dues Ex is then your fine, but for those who are veterans to the series and know how the games play then this isn't for you at all.

don't get scared off by bad reviews. Surprised to see such a low overall rating and especially the negative reviews for the recent update. This has been my favorite iPad game for several months and the community puzzles really take it up a notch. I've seen a few other reviews that I strongly disagree with: * the new update is definitely not a cash grab - there are plenty of easier puzzles so you can quickly accumulate the items available for sale; you can easily play without limit without buying anything * the game is not too easy - some puzzles have taken me close to an hour to figure out * the game is not too hard - I've given up on a puzzle a handful of times and found the answer online - each time I've regretted not giving it more time and figuring it out myself * it's not a drop in quality from Hitman Go or Lara Croft Go - in my opinion this one is well ahead of the others, I've gone back to HG and LCG and always come back here - controls and puzzles are superior This is an amazing game and succeeds where just about every other game fails - constantly available new content to keep it fresh even after several months of play

Great game, no 'buts.'. I usually don't like puzzle games, but this one is outstanding! I did need to go,back to level 13 to restart level 14 with its blue shield, but since I had solved it already, no problem. The puzzles are clever, but each level or so adds new tools/techniques. Haven't finished this one, nut have tried the other two. Also great!

OK game, but keeps getting less usable. The "Go" games are pretty clever -- turn-based, with puzzles, and quirky animations. In my opinion, Deus Ex is the weakest of the three. But at least I used to understand how it worked. When they introduced the idea of new, daily puzzles, that seemed like a pretty good way to add some value to the game. Even though I had completed the game, on any given day, if I wanted, I could load it up and play a puzzle, possibly a few. Here's where it starts to get confusing. I can't quite remember if it was a daily puzzle, or a set of puzzles for the week that slowly became available if you opened the app on different days, etc. But that doesn't matter, because now there is a new paradigm: Community-created puzzles. Admittedly, I've only tried to figure this out once, but it was pretty confusing, trying to figure out how to load these, how many I get to play in a given day, what choices I have about what puzzle I want, etc. After playing a few of these, I noticed that I had the ability to "Like" a puzzle at the end of playing it. That made me want to go back and give a thumbs-up to a puzzle I had played a few minutes earlier. I had no idea how to do that. And it was starting to defeat the casual nature of the game, trying to figure out how the navigation works, which triangles are clickable and so on. The idea of community-generated content, rated by other players, is great. But they have to figure out a way to make this functionality simple and clear from the navigation, since at its core, this is a very simple, casual game.

Unplayably slow and laggy on iPad M1 Pro. It is amusing that this game does not run smoothly on the most powerful tablet!

Good gameplay, graphics and music. If you liked Lara Croft GO, you will probably enjoy this game as well. I found this game to be easier than Lara Croft GO ( every stage is flat in this game) but still enjoyed it nonetheless. I also liked the music, which is something that I felt was missing in Hitman GO. I played this on my iPad Air, so I didn't notice any battery issues.

Fun but ..... I like this game, I enjoyed mankind divided on my PS4 so this was a no brainer when it went on sale for $.99. I would like to continue playing but the rate at which this drains battery in my 6S+ is just ridiculous. I played for just a few minutes and 10% of my battery was drained, after like 2 of the beginning levels! I will keep the game but probably won't play much until this problem is remedied.

One of the best games suited for mobile and touch experience.. I'm a huge fan of the "GO"games (ex. Tomb Raider GO") by square-enix. No need to be a fan of the series because the gameplay is all that matters. Also an experience this good for only five dollars seems like one heck of a deal. Just a very fun game to play all around and I keep wanting to play the next level. Also it adds weekly challenge levels that are updated I think once a week. So new content keeps being delivered. Can't wait to see more go games by square-enix

Cash Grab GO. The free-to-play aspects in a premium game rub me the wrong way. They hide the restart button, and give you a prominent but limited use undo button that is refilled with real world money. I also find the in-game hints for cash to be obnoxious, but only because fans already have videos up of every level for every game, and the devs could have provided free links to these videos instead and won some real points with the community.

My first GO title. Was always interested in the GO series of games but never enough to buy one. Then they decided to make a game based off of one of my favorite series so I had to pick it up and I am not disappointed. Once I'm done mastering all of the levels I'll have to go back and pick up the previous two titles they released.

Need more please. Love the game! Graphics are smooth and the art style is cool. REALLY love the music, got an ear worm of the first couple chapters now. Only downside is the main story isn't long enough for the Deus Ex series. I beat the story in around 5-8 hours. I was left wanting more, but this isn't a jab at the developers. The weekly missions are a nice feature and also getting gold status on all missions can keep people busy until Mankind Divided comes out. I've heard that they may add fan made levels later, but don't know if that has been axed or not. Only issue I've had is whenever I have a system notification pop up (like low battery) it can crash the game. I'm using a mini 3.
