WiFi Priority App Reviews
WiFi Priority App Description & Overview
What is wifi priority app? With “WiFi Priority“ it is finally possible to prioritize to which available network to connect first!
Generally all iOS devices rank available WiFi networks alphabetically and connect to the topmost known network in that list first. However, there are situations in which you may want to avoid that and prefer to connect to another known network instead. This is where “WiFi Priority“ comes to your aid. It simply lets you disable the auto-join function for selected networks and thus prioritize the one that you prefer by creating and installing a configuration profile on the device.
Instead of making your device forget the topmost networks you can now prevent them from automatically connecting first. Just enter the network information for the networks you don’t want to auto-connect and let “WiFi Priority“ do the rest. Afterwards your preferred available network will always connect first and you will still be able to use the other networks by just tapping on them in your network list.

WiFi Priority Comments & Reviews 2024
We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!
The app name is misleading. The app doesn't change "WiFi Priority", it just disables the auto join. So if I have two networks available and I want one to have priority over the other, it disables the second. However, if the first isn't available, it now will not auto join that network. It accomplished what I need for now, but since I travel between two offices, I will have to manually join the second network every time I’m at the other office, which is what I was trying to avoid.
Review. Terrible App. Asking for network to be disabled yet it is advertised as for automatically joining to the strongest wi-fi. Total rubbish. One star is even a high rating.
No prioritizing. Misleading your explanation. Need to change name of app.
Excellent. Does exactly what I was needing. I am grateful that Florian Schimanke has met this need. Although I have been a user of the App Store since its inception, I have written only a few reviews. I am writing this one because the low rating of this app it totally undeserved. I understand the frustration when things do not work the way users think and hope they will. I have found it best to see to my own understanding before criticizing.
Works as Promised.... Just does what it says it will do. It prevents you from joining an available network that cannot be "un-auto joined".
It's not for priority.. It's to prevent u from connecting to wifi which u can already do it by uncheck the auto-connect. It's not for wifi priority and it's not worth the $1. Zero star if possible
Not what you think it is.. Ok this app does not allow you to rank your networks connection priority. It only allows you to make one not automatically connect. The only way to do this in the settings is to "forget this network" which would require you to enter the password each time. All this app does is allow you to tell it to not automatically connect to a particular network. Basically it's worthless.
Ppl = dumb. This app works. It will ONLY prevent your phone from clinging to "one bar" when there is a network with "full bars" available. For example, an apartment lobby has wifi that you occasionally use but you want your phone to connect your OWN wifi automatically once you are through the lobby and in your own apartment (rather than cling to that first signal all the way to your door). If you used "forget this network", you would have to enter the password every time you wanted to use the lobby wifi. If you turn on "ask to join networks" then it will annoy you all day asking you to connect to every unknown signal it acquires while you're out; known networks are still joined without asking and so the lobby wifi would be joined as it was first acquired while you passed through. You would still have to manually tell your phone to change networks once in your apartment. This app prevents that; now when I get home my phone ignores the lobby and connects to my personal when in range. On the off chance I need to use the lobby then I can switch without entering a password, GET IT???
De-prioritizes backup WiFi networks. worked like a charm after realizing how many hoops I needed to jump through just to download the iPhone Configuration Utility to do the same thing & 100x easier!
How do I uninstall?. How do I uninstall this app and remove the WiiU profile it created?
Works. While the title could be more prescriptive of what it actually does, it does exactly what I wanted it to do, prevents my devices from auto connecting to a specific WiFi but allows you to connect it mannually by simply pushing connect. For me this is a life saver. I live in a remote area that has very poor DSL, (900K) when it works. I also have a new 4G LTE verizon tower 300 yards away (30 meg download speeds). I use a netgear cell router as a back up to the DSL as I frequently work at home with big files. The problem is the ATT DSL is so bad from a latency stand point all computers IPADS, Iphoes etc frequent switch from ATT DSl to the Verizon connection automaticly. Our Grand Kids spend a lot of time with us (streaming netflix which I have my account set to lowest resolution). After buring up 10 gig on a weekend, I needed away to prevent the auto connection to the verizon router. This program works perfectly for that.
Does what I need it to. I have a wifi extender as my home wifi doesn't provide a strong enough signal up stairs. My phone constantly connects to the main SSID downstairs when I'm upstairs and not the ext. SSID which is the extender. I wanted it to stay on the extender when I'm upstairs and not connect to the weaker main SSID downstairs. This definitely has done exactly that and is keeping me connected to the extended network SSID.
Works as advertised!. Would love it if I could sync profile configurations over iCloud, to make it easier to install profiles on multiple devices.
Terrible... horrible. Didn't allow you to prioritize WiFi network add it's name or description suggests. Should be negative five stars
Terrible app❗️😢😢😢😢😢. Doesn’t work as it should be. Bad bad bad❗️😢
Worked for me. While it does not allow you to "prioritize" your networks. It does allow you to easily set networks to NOT connect automatically, which worked good enough for my problem.
Now works again. This is a super app which works exactly as described. Current version fixes bug introduced by previous version.
It works!. Thank you. App is not needed any more with iOS 11
Not at all. Nope.. Does not and never will switch automatically between my wireless networks on my property. Wasted money.
Finally, some control over Xfinity. Xfinity is everywhere and sometimes its great to be able to be able to get onto the internet when Im traveling. Xfinity is a pain when it insists on being my primary connection over my home Wifi connection or when there is faster connection available. This app finally fixes this problem and lets me choose when I want to use Xfinity.
Does exactly what it says. Yes, the app name is a little misleading, but this app does exactly what it says in its description. The update that just came out fixed a bug that was preventing new from installing the profiles it creates. I use several wifi networks with equipment at work that are airgapped with no access to the internet. I don't use them all day every day, and it's a real pain to either set them up every time I need them or constantly be digging around in settings to get off of them. This does exactly what I need - well worth the investment.
Allows me to prioritize my wifi networks. MacOS allows the user to determine connection priority of known wifi networks so I was surprised to find that iOS does not. If you have multiple wireless networks and want to control (override) which network your phone will default to than this app is a simple & viable work around.
does what it says. It does what I need, keeps the wifi I normally don't want from grabbing my iPad but keeps it available if I do want to use it. As easy to use as can reasonably be expected, given that it has to patch around a poor design choice by Apple in iOS (vs MacOS) wifi.
Delivers what it promises. This app serves a very specific purpose, and all the negative reviews I’ve seen so far stem from the fact that the users who left them completely missed the app’s point. Additionally, contrary to what has been stated here, what it promises and effectively delivers CANNOT be accomplished via the regular graphic user interface, but only with a custom configuration profile. This app streamlines the creation of such profile for you. Please do the App Store community a big favor and refrain from writing misleading reviews when you have no more than a dim understanding of the issue being dealt with in the first place.
App does not do as title suggests. Like another reviewer stated, and I read after the fact, the title is misleading. This doesn't prioritize networks, but rather prevents you from automatically connecting to certain networks if you so choose. I was expecting an app that let me create a list of networks and the order in which to join them if multiple were available. I wanted something to eliminate my input in which network I connected to. This does not do that. My own fault though for not reading the description and looking at the screenshots :/
Works as advertised.. Allowed me to deprioritize the 2.4 radio & auto-connect to the 5 in my router for a radical speed boost. With no repeated settings finagling. (If Apple wasn't addicted to hyper-simplifying things that are not simple, this work-around app would be unnecessary.) If you don't understand what an app is designed to do, don't 1-star it because it didn't do what you erroneously expected.
Works perfectly…. I have installed it on 5 iOS devices without a single problem. Does exactly what it is supposed to.
Title is misleading but it does what it describes. Since iOS does not offer the ability to prioritize wifi networks the only way to prevent auto connect to non preferred networks in your house etc was to use the iPhone config tool in your Mac to install wifi profiles. This tool eliminates the need to do so. Really nice job at that and worth the $1
Sooooo convenient!. This app has saved a lot of time delving into the wifi settings. I used to have to manually switch the wifi connection multiple times a day due to the way out wifi is configured. Lifesaver!
Honest review from an actual tech. This app doesn't necessarily "prioritize" your networks, a gripe amongst other reviewers at this time. It does however work well to accomplish being connected to the wrong network when used with the wifi toggle. I often connect to 'optimimwifi' or 'cablewifi' here in NY. When I pull up to my home, I used to be auto connected to these Cablevision-provided free hotspots. When entering my home, I would stay connected. I would have to manually enter network settings and join MY network. Annoying! With this, you can join the hotspot/network of choice at will, manually (since auto join is disabled). Then if you're connected to said network, just toggle your wifi off and back on. You'll auto connect to your home/preferred network without auto joining the wrong one. Works as stated without having to manually drill into settings->wifi->scroll to desired network-> select network. Just toggle your wifi, much easier! 4 stars not 5 because I would like to see an auto scan/disconnect feature built in so as to disconnect from a low "priority" network and connect to a higher "priority" network. Perhaps have this app call into iOS native wifi search API?
Okay for 99 cents. Pros: Does what it claims in the text (allows you to install WiFi profiles without configuring and connecting to Apple Configurator) Reasonably usable Cons: No native iPhone 6/6+ support Cannot handle Enterprise keys Misleading name UI is rough for an iOS app I bought this app so that I could save my workplace WiFi network login without auto joining. Unfortunately it turned out not to work in my case because my workplace uses WPA Enterprise (I didn't realize this until I tried to use the app). On the plus side, the app introduced me to Profiles, and I then downloaded the Apple Configurator in the Mac App Store and successfully created a profile that saves my work WiFi credentials but does not auto join. So ironically the app did solve my problem, even though it didn't work for me. I would rate it at 4-stars if/when it supports native iPhone 6 resolutions. Seems a little silly to release in app in Feb 2015 that doesn't have native iPhone 6 support.
Not impressed. Granted, it was only $1.00. However, I ended up just going in and telling the WiFi to just forget a network. Could have done that without downloading app. Went through the setup and it still went to the 2.4 Network after disabling and reactivating WiFi. Shut down and still went to 2.4 Network instead of going to the 5 Network. Back to the drawing board kids! Noticed a review from someone saying that if one didn't understand what the app was supposed to deliver, don't post negative reviews. Haha! Yes, if it was free, I agree. But it was not. So, the only thing I want to see is all positive reviews. That tells me the programmers did what they were suppose to do! Bugs!
Works great!. I bought this to force my preferred network to have priority and it works great! I can still manually select my second choice and that's fine. GOOD STUFF!
$0.99 for disabling Auto-Join. Well, this App would disable the Wifi Auto-Join for $0.99, while this function is 100% free under the WiFi settings. Don’t waste your money!
This is the way apps should work. There are a number of negative reviews here, but those seem to have been written by people who do not understand the purpose and function of this app. My situation was this: I have home Wi-Fi and recently added an outdoor access point to get the Wi-Fi extended to my new shelter house, which is more than 200 feet from the house. That access point required the creation of a new Wi-Fi network - different name and different password than the one in the house. The problem this created was that my iPhone would randomly switch between the two networks, but I didn’t want it to. It sometimes switches to the outdoor network, but when I am in the back of the house, that signal is very weak compared to the indoor Wi-Fi. Yet my phone stayed with the weaker signal. So I had to keep checking which network I was on, and frequently had to switch networks to get the best signal. This app resolved the problem. My phone will stay connected to the indoor network and I no longer have to keep checking for which network I am on while in the house. When I go to the shelter house, it’s a simple matter of switching to the outdoor Wi-Fi network. This app has a very specific function, which it performs very well. Very easy to set it up, and it works like a charm. 5 stars without a doubt.
Provides a much needed IOS function.. Does one thing extremely we'll!!!
This is exactly what I needed. At my work we have three wifi networks. I like to stay on our guest wifi to listen to pandora on my phone but keep my Mac on the internal network. The problem is if you have your phone and Mac on the same iCloud account you can never "Forget This Network" permanently on your phone. iCloud happily re syncs the networks I just forgot! This keeps that from happening
False advisement. Why make an app that just gives you the ability to disable auto connect. It should instead look for the available networks and connect to your first second and third preferred networks automatically in that order. And if your connected to your third network and you get into the range of your second network then it should automatically switch. And if your in your second preferred network and you get into the range of your first preferred network then it should automatically switch.
Does not work as advertised. This does not prioritize networks, but rather prevents auto join certain networks. You can do that already.
Works Great!. I have been searching for months for a solution to the problem of connecting automatically to the last network on a list four on our wireless router without having to delete the passwords on the other three. This app does exactly that! A little clumsy but it works! Remember to enter the name of each network exactly as it appears from the WiFi. I learned the hard way that the name is case sensitive! Once I figured out how to use the app, it is well worth a buck!
Doesn't actually prioritize. I'm in range of two wireless networks, one without A password that is very slow and another with a password that is very fast. I just want an app that will automatically join the password protected wireless network when I am in range of it. It doesn't matter how physically close I am to the password-protected network but this app will not prioritize the password-protected network and I continue to auto join the wireless network without a password. The name and description of this app is misleading.
Misleading App Name. App should be classified, and renamed, as a WIFI blocker. It doesn't prioritize anything. And I fully understand how to use the app; contrary to the rebuttals I've seen in response to other negative reviews. Thankfully, I only wasted 99-cents. I have removed the app.
Initial problems now fixed.. Dev seems to have fixed the issues with the app. Working fine now.
Does not prioritize. All this does is make you “Forget” a WiFi connection. I bought it to list prioritize connections, it doesn’t do anything like that. Why even call it WiFi Priority, just call it The app that doesn’t do anything.
Not worth the buck and download time. I at least expected a list of WIFIs to choose from. Having to enter each one by hand - after having to look each one up is of minimal benefit.
Name is misleading do not buy. Website is in German. I thought it would seclect the best network for me
Terrible app. This app actually doesn't do what is says. It only disable the auto-join on your wifi networks. For example, if you have two SSIDs at your home, you're able to disable auto join feature in one of them, so the other will be the "preferred". But if you're in a room where the preferred wifi is out of range, you'll have to connect to the second WiFi manually. It does the complete opposite of the program suggests.
Not Priority. This app is more of a list for Forget This Network. I needed an app that can automatically switch from one SSID to a second SSID, when in range, then switch back to the first SSID. This just does not see the first SSID unless you go into the WIFI settings and manually select it regardless if the second SSID is in range or not. This app is not what I was looking for.
Works perfectly. Has a very user friendly installation interface. Just let the app guide you through the process, and you'll be good to go.
Exactly What I Wanted. My 2.4 Ghz network would always trump my 5 Ghz network, requiring a manual re-selection to remain on the faster network. This App auto-selects my network (5 Ghz) and offers availability of my slower network if I want it. In other words, no more moving through menu's to make this change. It simply automatically establishes my network choice. That's what it's designed to do and nothing else. 5 stars guys!

No good. I wanted an app to prioritise my wifi this app want you to provide the makers your password details I don't know who the makers are and I will not give my passwords to someone I don't know and don't trust To me this app is useless
Clunky rubbish. Clunky interface and unhelpful, highly manual
Rubbish. Does not work or connect to the strongest signal at all
Waste of money. It just seems to disable autojoin which can be done manually easier than using this
Doesn’t work. Total waste of $1:50 the app does nothing. I want my money back !!!!!
Misleading name but good useful app. This app does what its description says. It allows you to remove wifi networks from auto connect but have your iPhone remember password etc. very useful. I have had no problems. This version seems bug free. What it doesn't do is allow you to prioritise one network over another, either you auto connect or you don't.
Does not work. Tried the app with the hope it would allow my iPhone to connect to the fastest network. Initially it did work until I connected to a totally different network. Upon returning within range of my home group of networks it reverted to original allocation policy. Be advised.

Useless. Passwords are required in order to 'forget' networks.
Pos. All this app does is disable auto join for your wifi networks. It's a piece of crap otherwise and probably gathers information from your phone.
SCAM. I want a refund. This application just disable auto-logon on a wifi network. We could already do this built -in
SCAM! ONLY DISABLE NETWORKS NOT PRIORITIZED. Piece of junk, you can do everything this app does with apple configuration tool. ALL It does is let u disable a wifi network one by one, no prioritize toon whatsoever. Got a refund.
Not that good. Might as well just switch in settings yourself, thought it would auto switch to best signal
Clever, Simple and effective. Great solution to a nuisance problem. Creates a network profile that allows you to select whether you want to auto join. Once set up running the app is not required.
Useless as EAP is not available. I would like a refund!
App doesn’t do at all what it says. This app does NOT prioritize preference of connection to available wifi networks. It simply inhibits auto-login on specified networks. How could this have passed the Apple iTunes Store app QA????
Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!
No longer works. Updated to iOS 9. and the app no longer works. Unable to create profile
awful save your dollar. hard to use interface ... does not do what it says it will ... the wifi you pick you will not be able to ever log on to...
Not Wifi Priority. It does not set wifi priority, it disables auto join on specified networks. So it does not do what it says it does, it does not do what I want it to do and it forces something I do not want to do.
False Advertising!!!. This app does not let you prioritize WiFi networks! Apple needs to remove this app from the App Store!
Does not work. This app simply does not do what it is supposed to do. I still end up on the wrong wifi. So far, a waste of time and money.
Broken and misleading. First off , this app does not work on iPhone 6+ running iOS 8.4. Secondly it does not allow you to select priority; it only allows you to choose to *not* automatically connect to specific access points. I wish refunds existed in the AppStore because of things like this.
Great alternative on iOS. After purchase it I could figure out what this App does could be accomplished through OS X Apple Configurator App . Definitely this worth it if user don't have access to Apple Configurator. Thanks!!!
Does not prioritize Wi-Fi connections. This app only disables secondary connections and does not allow you to set a connection order. It is completely misleading. I want my money back!!!
Very good. Strictly speaking it isn't a priority app, but it does allow you to retain login information while disabling auto join. Works great.
Useless. Utterly useless app.
Worthless. Doesn't work. I decided to withhold a bad review until I heard back from their tech support. I sent them a message and never heard back. Don't waste your time.
Seems to work. Not complicated. Seems to work.
A suitable replacement for Apple's iPhone Configuration Utility. Apple's iPhone Configuration Utility no longer plays nice with Windows 64 Bit. If you used iCU in the past to prioritize your personal networks this app is a suitable replacement.
Doesn't work. Title says it all. Doesn't work.
Worked for me. It worked as described.
works great!. have two networks at work and can only connect to one and was able to stop the other with this app, thanks!!!
NOT USEFUL!. It works at first but after manually connecting to a non-prioritized SSID, I have to re-run the app and create a new wifi profile for the non-prioritized SSID. If I don't, it auto joins. I wrote to tech support 5 days ago and have not heard back! CAUTION if you are going to buy this app as I did, it is a waste of money!
Wifi priority. Not accurate as the description says. I wish i never bought it
Rolled the dice, paid the price. Figured 99 cents was worth it to see if this app could eliminate the extremely aggravating problem of having my iPhone connect to random unusable wifi networks as I roam around my city. It DOES NOT. Do not buy.
The app is not doing what is said in the name. Misleading name, read a description carefully before you purchase the app
I wish I could get my buck back. This is very deceptive as to what app does. It does not set priority as we are use to from Mac OS. This just keeps networks from joining automatically. And on top of hat it doesn't even scan for the networks, you have to enter them manually. It's crap. STAY AWAY.
Not recommended. Not useful. Does not work to block strangers' or neighbors' networks because it requires security info that is not known. Same problem as the built-in "forget this network" command that only works when you are connected.
Missleading name.. Very misleading. I have two wifi connections at work. I wanted the phone to join the faster one. But this app only disables auto joining the slower network which can be done from the settings. Wish I could get a refund. Waste of money!!
Do not purchase. Doesn't do what it says it does. I wasted my money. Don't purchase this app.
Works as Described.. Simple, quick, and works as described. Good buy!
Doesn't work at all. Does not prioritize or permanently block wi fi networks
No clue. I have no clue how this is supposed to work, and it doesn't.
Couldn't get it to work. Just put me into this endless loop telling it's "not signed" with no explanation of what that means and provides no way to sign. Waste of time and my money. Deleted it. Don't buy!
Not working. Update not working
False advertisement. This product is sad and weak! It does not allow you to prioritize your SSIDs (wireless connections). It simply allows you to not auto-connect to desires SSIDs, so basically you disable all the SSIDs alphabetically before the one you want to connect to first. I hope this helps.
Perfect. I have three SSIDs in my home office: Home Office Upstairs 2.4 (via the extender) Home Office 2.4 Home Office 5.0 Home Office Upstairs 2.4 was always autoselected because it is first alphabetically. I want to use Home Office 5.0 because it is the closest and fastest when I work in my home office all day. This utility fixed the problem with less that 5 minutes effort. Money well spent.
Does nothing I can't do from Settings. Instead of supporting WIFI profiles as the name and description implies, this app simply provides a lame interface into joining WIFI networks and disabling auto join option in the process. Something I can do from IOS Settings myself. Not useful.
Not even worth $1. I'm not sure what this app actually does after trying to use it. It certainly isn't an app for setting wi-if network priorities.
Doesn't work. This app does not work for me.
This app is terrible. This app does not work. Don't waste your time or $.99
Doesn't Work on iOS 9. Doesn't function at all in iOS 9.
False Advertisement. This app does not do what it claims, offering the ability to prioritize which wifi networks your device connects to first. Rather it gives you the ability to do what the firmware already allows, that is, designating networks to not automatically connect to (aka forget device).
Just disables auto-connect. Doesn't prioritize wifi networks. It just disables the auto connect feature for an individual network. Not what I wanted to spend a dollar on.
