Don't waste your time!. The only thing worse than this app is the tech support!

App malfunctions. Serious problems with the app shutting down while using it. Please address this issue because it’s time consuming to restart the app when I’m trying to get reading done.

AP DOES NOT WORK OR ALLOW ME TO SIGN IN!!! So mad right now. This ap doesn't work, doesn't let me sign in, doesn't let me use ebook without using the ap on my iPad. This was the reason I got this book and I can't even use it. This needs to be fixed or return my money for my book because that is false advertising. If I'm doing something wrong it is certainly not obvious. I've had the same JB learning sign in for years and I've tried to launch through safari as it instructed and it made no difference. Fix this..IT'S USELESS. Don't count on using this if you up the books!

Always a Hassle. So you have the reader AND the app, which is redundant. I was able to get one out of two books onto the reader. App keeps telling me that my sign-in info is incorrect but same info works on desktop browser. The highlighter is terrible. I always get an error code when I open the app, but then it works so I can read the one book. Constantly have to minimize the size before turning the page. But, I can read the one book without lugging it around, so there’s that. And I like that I can tap on some terms for glossary definition. And I do like that it opens right up to where I stopped.

Not impressed. Had trouble downloading material to the app, tech support is closed, website not allowing login do to an unknown error. Trying to read for a promotion and can’t access the material I paid for.

App doesn't work. I can login and at home page I see the book but can't open it. Once I click it after some time it closes the app. Poor performance...

Login is broken. I never write a review but I would love to be able to use this app to take note with my IPad. Refuses to take my login credentials even thought I can access it fine from my pc. I’m using this for my virology class this semester. Please fix this!!! For info I get an alert saying my username or password is incorrect and if I haven’t logged in before to log in on the website

Doesn't work. Needs fixing, will not let me sign in even though I am definitely using correct log info. Customer support says "app is broken"

App is very laggy. Needs to be redesigned from top to bottom. Horrible UI that freezes too often. Scrolling down pages is not as smooth as it should be The search feature crashes the app if you search up a word with 100+ results

NOT WORTH IT. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME.. There is no audio version of the ebook I purchased. (The audio is available with some titles). I set my iPhone to read highlighted text to me so I could listen while I worked. Well, the app won’t let you highlight text with anything but their in-app highlighter. “Clunky” and “unrefined” were apt descriptions of this app.

HORRIBLE!. I need to use my online textbook and can’t even do that. I spent $480 on something that I can’t even use properly!!!! Every time I open the app it says no internet. UPDATE THE APP SO PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY USE IT

Can’t Even Login. You can’t even log into the app to read your books. It keeps saying login is incorrect even though the desktop version is fine. Can JBL make a decent app?

Product Functions as Advertised. I had success with the eReader application from the very beginning and consistently since then. Note: I spoke directly with Sales at Jones & Bartlett to verify my bundle included the compatible eBook content to work with this eReader. I absolutely required the ability to view the eBook offline. Note: Upon opening the application you must tap your finger on the eBook title and wait patiently for the content to open - the delay can seem long (it's really not). You must be connected to the Internet the first time - it will function offline thereafter.

Does not work!!!!!!!. I have had this App now 3 weeks. I still can not sign in. The App tells me my sign in is wrong. I have contacted customer support several times. They say there is a problem with the App and they are working on it but are very busy. I would not recommend this product if you are relying on the App to work. Very disappointed with this app and customer service.

Is this a joke?. My EMT book is a brick so when I found out that I could read it electronically I was ecstatic. I had read the reviews and didn't want to believe what others were saying, I shouldn't have bothered with the app at all. I can't open the book, I can't get past the "bookshelf", I can't study. I'm disappointed and frustrated. Either the app needs to be scrapped or updated because it is garbage. I guess it's back to lugging the brick of a book around.

EXTREMLY slow loading content. This app is an ok app to use when it comes to reading text books. The reason behind this is because EVERY time I try to read my book, I have to wait 5 minutes for the book to "load", even though it's already downloaded all the content to my phone. It's almost like going back to dialup its that slow. But when it finally does open the book, it runs well. If the initial opening of the book were to speed up, I'd give this app 5 stars. Until then, 2.

Cannot login. Keeps giving me an error that login is incorrect, even when I can login with it on the web...wait for an update

Completely unusable. If I have to pay for this content I should be able to use it... this app is completely unusable. Considering the cost of content the least you could do is hire adequate coders to create an adequate platform to view your electronic content. Highlighting is cumbersome. Viewing and page turning lags. Duel screens on iPad Pro is not an option.

The forgotten app?. Considering the newest updates on jb learning’s textbooks frequently refer students to this app, the app itself is utterly useless and disappointing. Too bad. A functional app would be a great aid for many students.

Slow and Glitchy. One thing I like about the Navigate eReader is that it integrates quizzes and assessments directly into the text. This is a potentially useful feature that I've not seen in other academic eBooks. With that said, there's a lot of things about this app that make it pretty terrible. For one thing, it crashes all the time. Whenever this happens, I have to close and re-open the app. This is beyond annoying and can really screw up my study flow. Second, the app developers made some incredibly odd design choices here. For example, if you want to bookmark a page, you're forced to type in a name for your bookmark each and every time. That's insanely stupid. Why would anyone need or want to name their own bookmarks? Other eReaders like Kindle name/identify bookmarks for users based on logically relevant info, like page number. Ignoring such a well-designed system is like trying to reinvent the wheel by replacing the wheel with more archaic, nonsensical technology. Just name the bookmarks for us and don't make us pull up our keyboard every time we simply want to bookmark a page. Geez. Lastly, using your fingers to move around a page and/or to zoom in and out is a very shaky process. I've never seen this look so shaky on any other eBook reader. It's so bad with Navigate that it actually causes eye strain if I need to move around the page too much. Unfortunately this is pretty much unavoidable when you're using this app to read electronic textbooks that are print replicas of the original, which essentially require zooming to different parts of what would otherwise be a relatively large text book page. Overall, the *concept* of this app is great, but the execution of it is horrible. This outdated app is in desperate need of a of 21st-century overhaul.

Clunky and unrefined. Since I was forced to use this App on my mobile device instead of having the option to view the material in my browser I expected a lot more than the App was able to deliver. From the moment you go to the login screen of the App you have to slide the page around to see everything because it does not auto fit the window. The ebook quiz was horrendous to use because the quiz timer was plastered across the center of the screen and I was forced to drag the question above and below the banner to even read it then select an answer and scroll to the bottom of every page to select next. At the end I had to rotate my screen to find the submit assessment button. Whoever was paid to develop the App should give the money back so Jones and Bartlett can try again. Focus on user friendly this time, keep in mind the user is the PAYING customer.

Doesn't work. I put in my login info and then it says the app can't work because it can't connect to the internet meanwhile my internet is working with everything else.

Unable to read. I downloaded the Healthcare system textbook, but unable to get pass "loading configuration" page 1 of 3. Worthless feature

Split Screen Please. Please make it app split screen compatible it will make my life so much easier! Pls pls pls

Useless. Should be zero stars. Can't get it to open or work at all on the iPad.

No audio. At least their web site has audio. Both freeze up and become unresponsive. It is handy to download an entire gigantic book for traveling and not have to carry along a brick.

App out of date. Please update to support iPad Pro 12.9". Please support iOS 9 iPad Splitscreen multitasking. Please support Apple Pencil for annotations on ebooks. These would really make for an impressive E book experience. Please fix broken links in books.

Please update. This app constantly freezes when I try to open my book. This app is useless

They just don't care. I'm using iPhone 6, iOS 10. You have to tap on the book rapidly about 20-30 times on the bookshelf before it will open the summary to allow you to read the book. Zoom is unresponsive. At first, it doesn't respond at all. Then, it blows the text way up. It looks like they just scanned each page of the book. There is no way to change text formatting to single column and the search functionality doesn't find words that are on the page right there in front of your face! I would rather use the desktop version on their website. As bad as it is, at least it's somewhat intuitive to use. The only thing I even use that for is the search functionality and it's pretty crappy to. If the developers at J&B Learning actually take time to read this, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. This is perhaps the worst designed app I've ever experienced; eReader or otherwise. I've seen apps from 13 year old developers that blow you guys out of the water. It's like you just don't care and are only providing it because all of the other book publishers are. There is absolutely no innovation here at all!

Update. Can you update this app with split screen please and i am unable to use this app without WiFi with iOS 11

Doesn't work. Went to the app through the jblearning site but will not let me log in. Definitely needs updating and to be customer friendly.

What’s the problem with the other reviewers?!?. This app WORKS as stated. I can download the book offline and read it with ease. Plus it is easy to navigate and doesn’t seem to cause any problem for me. To the other reviewers who give this app a one star, don’t be so picky about the app not having this or that for your excuse of technological incompetence. This app is just to serve as an extra feature. If you got a problem with the app, buy some reading glasses and pay for a hard covered book.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!. The app is CRAP!!!! and to make matters worse Technical Support and Customer Service is just as CRAPPY..... I purchased a new book for my computer science class so I could access the digital content and most importantly the ebook off-line... Before I purchased the new book I had the bookstore manager call the publisher to ensure that I would be able to access the book off line... They said sure !! All I had to do was download the app after creating an account on their web site.... So like an idiot I purchased a new book and waisted an extra 125$ dollars because the campus bookstore will not give refunds after you open the code.. Every time I try to open the app I get the error message no internet connection!!! I have called several times and made numerous complaints all they do is say we are going to escalate the matter and call you back. Unfortunately my course is not on hold until they fix the problem.. I have an iPad and they lied to me and said I would have no problem witch I think they will lie to anyone to rob them of their money . If you have to have a text by this crappy publisher I would strongly advise that you save yourself a ton of money and buy a used book from Amazon or eBay ...

Freezes. Cannot read or download my textbook without the app freezing up. Not helpful at all for e-book navigation.

Horrible. Way too much screen Realestate dedicated to controls. Bottom controls cover the bottom of the page, forcing a reader to pull the page up as to read the last lines. Blue controls are very hard on the eyes. It’s like this apps creator hates learning and wants to make it as hard as possible...

Slow. It's so slow, it crashes All the time and you can't find the chapters by a menu. You have to type on the page. Overall I'm dissatisfied

Horrible app. I downloaded this app to be able to look over the book or do some work where I can't take my laptop. I thought that was the point of creating the app, so it can be more convenient. But it turned out I can't even use the app unless I have access to wifi. I don't always have wifi, mainly only at home. I'm trying to use it out of my home. Please fix. I hope maybe before my course is over. If not, I guess I'll struggle a bit.
