Siri Shortcuts deliver a quick way to get things done with your apps with just a tap or by asking Siri. The Shortcuts app enables you to create personal shortcuts with multiple steps from your favorite apps. Start from hundreds of examples in the Gallery or drag and drop to create your own.
Shortcuts includes over 300 built-in actions and works with many of your favorite apps including Contacts, Calendar, Maps, Music, Photos, Camera, Reminders, Safari, Health as well as any app that supports Siri Shortcuts.
Use the Shortcuts app to:
* Get directions home, send your ETA and start listening to the news, just by asking Siri
* Add a home screen icon that calls a loved one
* Make animated GIFs
* Make PDFs from Safari or any app with a share sheet
* Get directions to the nearest coffee shop in one tap
* Tweet the song you're listening to
* Get all of the images on a web page
* Send a message including the last screenshot you took
* And so much more...
Shortcuts can be launched from the Today widget, from Search or by asking Siri. You can even add an app icon to your home screen for your favorite Shortcuts.
Shortcuts opens up incredible possibilities to automate things you do regularly on your iPhone and iPad.

It worked then after Siri suggestions was used it was stuck on Phone with a listed number but it would not allow me to do the same for other calls/people.
This app is amazing, I just have one feature request for now. Please add an action to delete folders. Deleting files separately is time consuming. Like if I had more than 10 files in a folder I should “get” each file and then “delete” the files. That’s it for now. Thank you
I can’t use it anymore, it crashes every time that I use the Share sheet
Thought this would be a cool thing available on the lock screen or something useful like a few android widgets, disappointing to say the least.... apples lack of customization stinks and needs a revamp with iOS in general
You basically have to tell Siri what she needs to do by creating shortcuts. There’s one already created, Say Cheese” but you need to unlock your phone in order for it to work. That’s like using a remote for a garage door but the main door is locked so you need to get out of the car and unlock it. USELESS feature. This surprises me that this is an Apple feature.
Most people are tired of this new update line from devs (every few days) “bug fixes performance improvements.” We want to know why your shadowing our “update doorway.”
Yee yee download this app Easy shortcuts to do a simple task And I love the music features Download it’s FREE AND NO FURTHER PAYMENTS FREE! FREE! FREE! Also I didn’t get paid to write this review
Powerful app, part of a pioneering few good automation apps that hopefully will improve in the future... Only downside is any homescreen shortcuts you make still have to open the shortcuts app in the foreground before it runs... that’s it. Everything else makes Shortcuts a must have.
Apple’s solution to making Siri better is awful. Shortcuts take too long and you need to use the exact phrase to engage Siri and can’t add additional phrases for the same task. If I ask you what’s your name but what is your name confuses you then you aren’t getting smarter. Let me use google assistant natively in iOS.
Always get “could not run call” when the shortcut is set up properly for speed dials. The app is also not very intuitive. Difficult to find delete button and no folder structure to organize shortcuts.
This app would be amazing if it had 3rd party support, I believe you’d be able to get much more out of the app. You can’t do much unless you have Apple Music.
I’m also having the issue of being unable to add my shortcut to the home screen. It just takes me to the instructions in Safari but doesn’t actually let me follow them!! This is annoying since this was the whole reason I got this app. If I have to go into the app to access my shortcuts, what’s the point of creating it?
Why cant I get the “instant message” account items from a contact? Why cant i make a script to select “work” (instead of “home”) phone number? Eg by using a dictionary key.
Okay so, apple decided not to give me any notifications for anything so I decided to try everything I could (which included updating it) and the apple thought it would be a good idea to get rid of all the like access things so I’m trying to figure out how to get them back. This was completely useless. Sorry 🤷♀️
The apps great however the shortcut for Home ETA has stoped Working when Transport Mode = Public Transport. The error returned is: the specified directions could not be found. It would be great if this could be fixed please. Thanks
Great app but would be better if it had gesture support to run shortcuts and maybe running a shortcut at a specific time or place or a frase that you can say out of the app to run the shortcut without opening it and maybe add buttons in the settings of shortcuts in scripting to be able to make buttons and a ui
If shortcuts is blocked by screen locks too much, most of its benefits equal Nothing because of that. Ps. The one I created doesn’t have any other apps require to unlock the phone. It’s just mainly use Siri to call out n “dictate” for further actions which everyone can do in iPhone by hand w/o unlock.
I’ve made my shortcut but each time I select the option to add to home screen, I am taken to a page with instructions on how to do so. I am doing as said but keep being taken to the instruction page.
Hi apple. I see you have changed your application name but you removed a feature I really require. That is the fuel conversion. Please add that feature back into the application so I can convert my files from mp4 to mp3.
Get travel time for transit is broken in V 2.2.
I have shortcuts I created from this app that change several settings at once. For example: When I tap one of the shortcuts it turns off WiFi, & Bluetooth, turns on low power mode, and decreases the brightness, then exits the app. I call that one ‘Faster Charging’. And I have another called ‘Use iPhone’ to reverse all those settings. This app can also help accomplish tasks the iPhone can’t currently do. There are templates you can use/alter. Or just create your own.
The possibilities of shortcuts you can make are endless. It can automate almost any task. My biggest suggestion is to create a feature to auto-run shortcuts. For example when you get a text, at a certain time, or when you arrive at a location.
Good app, but every time when I try to delete some unnecessary command it will suddenly exist.
Very disappointing that Shortcuts doesn’t seem to work with any accessibility features of iOS.
This App basically allows me to run “Macros” on my iPhone. If you are familiar with macros on a Word processor, this is a little of what it reminds me of. It lets you create custom user apps/macros called “Shortcuts”, that can interact with other apps and Siri. This is a tech tool with a learning curve and an awkward user interface. It can be time consuming to figure out - kind of like programming. I am no longer a tech type, but some of it is now coming back to me. I never knew the app “Workflow”, which was purchased by Apple and preceded Shortcuts. A good technique is to start with Shortcuts created by other people. Once you have modified them and created what you want, it is an amazing tool and timesaver. You can also access your Shortcuts as a widget without logging into your iPhone.
Flow ideas are great but any time I open the app to create or edit or even run a flow, it freezes. iOS is up to date and using a new XS phone, so wouldn’t expect this non-performance.
Please iOS 11 support. Love this app.
While I use it every day, this app suffers from Apple’s UI oversimplification and attempts to integrate Siri actions with their iOS version of Automator. As a result, you don’t always know which icon to push to do a thing. Certain workflows are unintuitive to build (e.g. I shouldn’t need two steps to ping a URL). And getting workflows from other applications needs a lot of work - the whole “you have to perform an action in the app to make it appear” thing makes Shortcuts feel limited, not powerful. And the widget... woof. The buttons are ever-so-slightly too small. I don’t mis-tap, but I wish the tap areas were larger. And using workflows that have interactivity (alerts or inputs) often makes them flat out freeze up, requiring me to open up the app just to run them, especially if I trigger a second workflow while a first is just... hanging. But, hey, it’s not bad for what it is. But it could be a lot better.
Every time I tap to use a shortcut half the time it doesn’t work. The availability of shortcuts are few and far between for the apps one uses, i.e. the library for shortcuts is not big enough. This needs some work but I have hope, it looks like it’s got a good bases so I’d give it another 6 months and it may be up to pair! :) we’ll see
Best App on the iPhone 📲 I be lost without it thank you Apple once again Keith 👊👊
I created a shortcut to enable multiple alarms at once. Since the update, the shortcut won’t work effectively. Each alarm pops up to be activated individually instead of simultaneous activation. But I’m new to shortcuts and I’m amazed by it’s capabilities and look forward to discover so much more.
The search function in the Gallery does not work at all for me. It’s pointless being there if it doesn’t work. Otherwise, the app is very useful and is one of the most useful things to come to iOS in recent years.
Unreliable app, can’t even open a Google Maps and when it does it takes ages to do that. Some actions work in app but than don’t work when used with SIRI.
A new era for iPhone and iPad productivity. The possibilities and power of this app are endless. Amazing what it can do. Boggles the mind.
Excellent, with so many possibilities!
Mind blowing app. Was able to create a workflow that calls a web API and parses the JSON response, formats and presents the data in about 5 mins. God damn this is good.
I just downloaded the latest version, but my phone (IPhone SE) can't open it. It crashes every time I try to open it.
Just everything about this app is brilliant. Last releases addition of http endpoints was incredible, now magic variables make this the single most useful iOS app of all.
It's a great app. I'm not a power user of it but the simple things I do with it are so great and make the iOS experience that much better. Even if you don't have much programming knowledge you don't need it with all the available workflows there are
