App Not Working. I have been unable to use this app for the last 2-3 weeks. It used to work beautifully, but now it is not functional. I have deleted the app several times and re-installed it. I can login, but then I get an error message stating AthenaText is not working at this time. Try again later. Meanwhile, I’m missing important messages from my office.

Great software!!. Communication in healthcare is instrumental to meeting any organizational Mission. AthenaText helps healthcare teams communicate with efficiency and accuracy. The integration with the EMR adds great value, information security and eliminates the need for 3rd party vendors that may not be HIPAA compliant.

Still at work in progress, but doing much better. I think it’s very functional and works quite well. My one issue is getting alerts. I have to receive a message from my staff telling me to check my app as it does not pop up notifications for me to let me know that I have a message.

Love this. I absolutely love Athena text it keeps me up to date when I’m not near my computer or at work. It is great I love it

Excellent. Excellent app , able to connect to staff and also interconnect with different athena providers for coordinating care

Love it. I pibe being able to have access to my chat anywhere I go!

I like it. You can’t preview the text from a locked phone screen. But you can see that messages are coming in.

Works well!. A great way to quickly reach out to staff…gives notifications on the Apple Watch so you never miss an important message. Love it and use it constantly!

Use daily. Our office uses AthenaText to update the entire team efficiently and confidentially. The app makes it easy for me to send a text from the hospital as I make rounds.

Athena Text. Athena text is great and deserves a 5 Star, but the issue is the APP doesn’t consistently work on various devices. On my biz cell, only this APP works for texting, but have to use the other Athena One App for schedules. On my iPhone 11, only Athena One App works for schedules & texting but not consistently as it has to be refreshed multiple times for messages to load.

Love it. The only way to work on the go. Makes life efficient

Pretty good app. Good app. Pretty easy to use. Would benefit from option to dictate notes in app, since Apple Siri dictation isn’t HIPAA compliant. A number of ways easier to use than web based input

Finally working. After about 3 to 4 weeks of it not working well I deleted the app and reinstalled it a few times, it worked.I like that it is a good way to keep in touch with my coworkers while I’m not in the office and I can get to the messages pretty quickly

Working on the go. The Athena app is great for us when we are on the go and still be able to connect with the office and our patients.

Never able to log in. For the past 3 weeks I have been having trouble logging in. It started with it not being able to synchronize so I deleted the app, and re-downloaded the app. Ever since then I have not been able to log back in. At first it was not a big deal, I was at work and could take care of them. But this week I’m off on vacation and now I can delete them from day to day, so when I get back I will have to delete each one individually and there are going to be about 1000 of them. There is also no mass delete on the website for the text! Please fix! My company have been a major user for Athena for over 15 years!

App is working. App is now working with face id. It no longer crashes and is a great app to have

It was awesome. Loved this app until my pin expired and for some reason I can’t reset it. I probably forgot my password but it is not giving me the option to change it. I love this app but I’m giving it a four.

COO. I’m not always at my desk and staff frequently contact me via athenatedt. I love the convenience of having the athenatext app on my phone. It is user friendly and never lets me down.

Incredible app. The Athena messenger app is incredible. It allows me to communicate quickly and efficiency with my clinic staff under HIPPA compliance. I cannot overstate how important this app is to my vascular surgery practice. I strongly recommend this app to all health care providers that use Athena services.

Nightmare. The app constantly asks me how I like the app. Every single time, I select it needs improvement. Then it asks me if I'd like to share feedback, which I say yes. Then it tells me that an error occurred and that I’m unable to submit a Feedback response. So if you’re looking to fix anything, try fixing the feedback option so that users can give you accurate feedback about how much this app constantly causes problems. I can assure you once I am able to, I can give you a laundry list of features that you are lacking, and bugs that you need to address. Until then, take the one star. It doesn’t look good when it asks you to provide help detailing problems, and then provides a problem you can’t even detail. Update. Now it says I need the updated version, which I already have. Useless

Yay!. Finally an EMR that understands how important it is to text. Now I can text a colleague and send HIPAA protected information, improving and expediting patient care. For years, I have been finding secure work around using other apps. Thank you Athena.

Update- can’t log in. Ever since the iPhone update my colleagues and I are unable to log into or use AthenaText from our phones. This is very burdensome to our practice that uses Athena and we hope this problem will be resolved swiftly.

Great app!!. I like the fact that even when I’m away from work I can still receive messages sent to my phone.

Love Love Athena Text. We do great communication with Athena Text. This is the one of the BEST feature in AthenaNET. I read some of the reviews and I can understand the frustration of some people when this app malfunction. However, it works for most of the time. And, I cannot imagine communicating with my staff any other way. It is highly efficient. We manage 3 urgent care and primary care. There is so much we do using AthenaText that I cannot write all about. But, we are crippled when is not working. Like any app it needs work but for me when I compare to other app and EMR this app deserves a 5-star. Does it need more work? Absolutely it does. But it is an improving technology.

Doesn’t work. The app is almost entirely unusable because once you tap on one of the fields the rest of the controls like the word “send” disappear below the screen and you can’t scroll down to it.

Pretty good app.. It does what it needs to do. I wish I had the ability to like messages.

Does what it’s supposed to do!. Does what it’s supposed to do. Easy messaging amongst staff without having to open a patient case. A must have for Athena users

A workplace MUST have!. AthenaText is great if you take the time to get a grasp of it. No issues. App is very fluid and works very well! We all know the training it took to learn how to use Athena and this app is nothing like that. Very easy to learn how to use. Take your time, and see all of what you can do with this thing!

Works as expected. We use this app a lot in our practice. Not only do we use it to communicate one-to-one, but we also use it for practice-wide communications.

App needs work. The concept of this app is great but it needs work. Every time I make a comment about it, I’m told to remove the app and redownload it. No other app do I have to do that with. It works for a while and then the notifications stop coming, it won’t show new employees, and it will sometimes give you a notification but won’t load the new message. I have to close out several times to get it to register.

Poor support. Garbage, buggy app. I’m a physician and I’ve tried giving them helpful feedback on bugs numerous times. Each update seems to make it worse and break basic functionality. The responses were lame, and they often just closed out my tickets without resolving the app problems.

Keeps saying I need an update but doesn’t update. When I log in says I have to update but it just takes me to the App Store and does not provide an option to update. I even tried deleting and reinstalling the app

Update issue. Ever since the new version updated- I (and many physicians that use this app) can not sign back into or reload new messages in Athena text. This app is a very useful tool for my company, but the continuous issues to reload or open, causes communication breakdown. Please look into what the issue may be with the new update. My colleagues and I find this app a great addition to the practice workflow when it is functioning correctly.

Best App for Work. This app helps so much with staying connected with work when I am not in the office.

Athenatext. Smh Athenatext continues to go in and out whether in office or if you’re trying to use the app. Attempting to use the app I keep getting an update message when the app has already updated. Please fix this is annoying.

Update Issue. I read the other physician review and completely agree. It is an awesome app and efficient communication tool when working properly. I can still be on the go and handle many different office issues and answer questions about patient care. When it is not working it creates huge challenges to work flow. It has been having connection issues ever since the last update or the last update with the iPhone. They both occurred around the same time. Prior to that it kept crashing and the Face ID was not working properly. I’d much rather it be working, the Face ID is not as important but a nice perk. When it is not working at all though, it affects work flow, patient satisfaction and overall business. I look forward to a fix quickly. It will be greatly appreciated. When the program is working well it is a 5 except that the refresh feature for new messages has always been delayed and many times I would have to log out/close the program and go back in for new messages to appear even though it alerted me to a new message. Please get a fix quickly!

love the convenience but it NEEDS ONE BIG FIX. please make it available to mass-delete threads of messages. other than that i love using this app

Great in concept, but glitchy. Invaluable for communicating with my staff when I’m out of the office. Unfortunately every time I leave the app and need to read a message I have to log back in. Also will take a while to show me a new message. I’ll get a notification but when I log in no message appears and I have to force close the app and re open to read the message.

Cannot Log In. Ever since update I cannot log in

Not refreshing. App is not refreshing. I’m getting alerts, but in the app. No messages.

AthenaText. Very good app for use in and out of office Really helps communication with staff

Not impressed. There is a lot of lag and sometimes an alert will be received and you hav ego close the app and restart it to see the message. There are may issues that need to be resolved

App shuts down immediately after opening. The Athena app is completely worthless. I shuts down immediately after I open it. I’ve deleted and reinstalled many times. Using iphone10 with latest version of iOS 13.

Docjoseandres. We have just started using AthenaText. The premise sounds awesome but for some reason the app does not notify the user when we have a message.. So unless I continuously check this app - I won’t know I have messages Is there a setting we have missed that will allow a notification? Thanks

Dangerous game. Due to continues issues last year with app not notifying is risking delaying provider notification when staff tries to reach provider. Have told Athena support almost monthly, yet no fix

Good in theory. Terrible in practice. No functionality and constantly crashes. No customer service for the amount of money you spend when you have Athena as your platform.

A decade behind. This app feels like a dinosaur. It’s clunky. Does not pair well with your contacts. Will find a contact but then makes you manually email them. Poor interface and sloppy execution of a simple idea

Crashy, very crashy, please fix. You guys need to update your apps and make it stabler, we rely on this to keep in contact within the clinic on the go. You are still referring to security as Touch ID on my iPhone XS that uses Face ID? Are you serious? Get your act together, please.

Updating app. Trying to up date app but don’t see anywhere to update.

Outdated. Come on Athena! Every major medical reference app including UpToDate, Sanford Guide, and Epic’s Haiku was up and ready for OS12, but you can’t handle it? This on top of a glitchy EHR.... step it up! We all use iPhones out here.

Please fix!!. This app crashes constantly. My staff are missing important messages! I Miss important messages! I am almost tempted to go back to using OhMD. Never had issues with their app and it’s free too. Please get this fixed as I do like that it’s streamlined with Athena health.

OBGYN. The reason for me to rate this at 3 is because neither can I dictate nor can I enter info through texting in my encounters - hence I cannot sign off on charts on my phone

Not working. This app is no longer working with IOS 13. Please update app for the new IOS
