Make sure you turn your device. …turn it side-to-side (horizontal) for this app to work, otherwise you'll want to uninstall this app post haste! Also, what's with the generic and so basic name? Kinda fun, kinda simple to use. Have at it, courtesy of the USPS!

Bug. App won't even start, I try to open it and it just crashes right away, I already tried re installing.

Works fine. It is fun. The opening page could use some info explaining what you're supposed to scan. If you didn't read the mailer from USPS you would be clueless.

very cool animation!!. just a happy app! this only works with usps items. must align pic/brackets with a real mailbox and center the logo of the eagle and united states postal service on the side. the animation is really cool and unique!!! sounds like it works on other post office paraphernalia as well.

Pointless without the correct piece of mail.. Even if you do have the correct piece of mail, it's pretty redundant as you can do everything on the website or through the regular app. This app is not worth having on my phone taking up space.

Works for me. Clever app to show short videos about stamps when used with the USA Philatelic catalog. Works fine for me on an iPhone 7.

Terrible stamp delivery. Thought I'd order my Christmas stamps through the app to save time. What a mistake! It took 8 days from my order being placed to receive the stamps. Should have just gone to the local post office. Very disappointed in the turn around time.

Rewrite the wrong!. Well, the price is right (free), but otherwise it just doesn't deliver! Was looking for a little fun, but it only delivers 'junk mail'.

Boo!. You call that 'Augmented Reality'? Just a boring video of the post office introducing a stamp? Huh?

I got it to work!!. But don’t ask me how. It isn’t the least bit intuitive. Somehow I manage to get the stars aligned just right. It was pretty cool, so if you’re having trouble, just keep trying!

Why?. I just want to be able to schedule a pick up and track packages. What exactly is this app for? The postal service needs to come up with a more useful app.

Fun!. My 8 year old and I are both enjoying this app. It's easy to use. I am being told that I must pull over whenever he sees a USPS blue mail box!

Location services. Just got this app and haven't used it yet BUT, right off the bat, it asks about running location services all the time, even while in the background. I went to settings to set it for only when I'm using the app. The only 2 options are never and always. Needs a 3rd option (only when using the app). UPDATE: If it gets stuck in camera mode, go to your settings, click on USPS AR and you can switch the camera off.

Nice, but some suggestions.... I tried this on my Spiderman mail, and it worked! A couple of quibbles: for slower connections I wish the video would continue loading, or at least show you that it is still loading, after it recognizes the mail you have pointed it at, so you don't feel you have to hold the camera pointed at it the whole time. Plus, after the video is finished playing, I wish there were a replay button so you can see it again if you wish.

kws1969. Installed this app twice and deleted this app twice. I tried the first time and then waited a few weeks and installed it again to see if it got any better and the answer is nope. This app is just a waist of time.

Idiotic App. No directions - stick on camera until you point it at the brochure and gives stupid video. Forces you do do this to get to menu. To bad I can't rate it zero stars

Dumbest. Ap. Ever.. I need package tracking. Instead I get an ap that does the lamest thing ever. This is not competing with UPS and FedEx. This is not even competing with Hello Kitty. This is someone's child or mistress being handed a lucrative but otherwise useless contract with taxpayer money. Sheesh. We need a zero star rating for this.

Cool APP. I think this is really but I wish you could save the ones you have looked at to view again later.

Way too cute , no taxpayer money for this venture!. A friend of mine with a Samsung Galaxy has problems with this app, but my iPhone has no troubles. Noticed CynM saying USPS uses taxpayer $$ for these ventures. Totally false. I'm a proud USPS employee and we stand alone with $0 taxpayer money. Do your homework CynM before running your lip. APP is too cute!!

Awesome!!!!. Embraces modern technology in a fun way. It definitely gets me thinking about where the closest USPS box is! Good work.

App. I love the Christmas versions but it’s time for a new one.

Don't do it. Locks into the pic mode and won't let you go to home page, set up an account, then it didn't recognize me, then tried to set up again of of course my email was taken. Tried to buy stamps 7 times and kicked me out each time. I will just get them at the store and use FX for my shipping needs. But hey my girls loved the little cartoons when they scanned the mailer.., about all it's good for!

awesome and fun. dont listen to all these bitter people's reviews. this is just a fun little app to brighten your day. showed it to my wife and kids and it brought a smile to their faces. thanks usps! you have never failed me.

Misunderstanding about function. I'm going to start addressing concerns expressed by other users: 1. This is NOT the primary USPS app. Use 'USPS Mobile' to track packages, find post offices, determine prices, and other postal service related things. This app is a tech demo for a new ad service the USPS will be rolling out. 2. The USPS is self funded. No taxpayer money was 'wasted' in this tech demo. As for the app itself, it works great! It's incredibly neat seeing A.R. Come to advertising. The tech demos I saw at the Postal convention in Anaheim were awesome. I can't wait for more integration with actual advertising, I am very impressed. Although more explanation should be provided in-app to limit confusion, and the interface could be more intuitive. Given that, I have not had a single problem using this app with the demo material I received, works as described. Hope this review helps!

Cute App. This is a cute app. Looking forward to scanning various mailboxes and seeing what comes to life. Just another way to brighten the holidays. If you need lots of Post Office information, go to the main USPS website.

Not working not scanning. There doesn’t seem to be any support for this app, too bad.

USPSAR. Last year and the year before we had so much fun with this but this year it won't work. When I try to capture an image it says not for use with back camera. I went back to the App Store and found the same app for iPhone and it still won't work. Leave it to the government to take something simple and fun and make it unusable.

Very cool. I got the new Spider-Man promotional mail today and downloaded this app to check out the experience. Real neat! I can't wait to see where USPS takes this technology.

This app is a joke. Downloaded from mailer just to see how it worked. Tested "locations" to see if it would find our nearby Staples. Nope. Constantly asking to use current location even after you agreed. Bottom line, useless. Cute if you don't want any useful output but a huge waste of usps resources to create and promote otherwise.

So far pretty cool. I got the christmas mailing today and downloaded this to try it. I gotta admit, that's pretty cool. I can't wait to try it on the collection boxes. Hope it works on the boxes. Way to do something cool USPS

Don't get it. I don't get it? Why would I want to see an animated box open with random stuff come out?? In a usps flier I saw it said "not sure which size (box)? Use your USPS AR app to find the right fit. As soon as you open the app the camera comes on and there's nothing else you can do..

Worked once. What the heck ! Worked once then when I tried again the screen froze up. And their are no instructions or buttons or settings.

Yay USPS! (Yes, really, CynM!). I grew up with a dad who was a US postman. I am so proud of USPS for taking this bold marketing step into our current tech-infused way of life. Most folks fail to realize how amazing our federal postal system really is, even after all these decades, & how frequently we take it for granted. Additionally, people don't realize how close we come annually to, literally, losing our USPS mail delivery to our homes & businesses. The competitive parcel delivery market is working as a shining example of how free markets should work, and has caused USPS to step up their complacent game & create compelling marketing strategies & advertising. I, personally, am impressed with the app for my I-phone, the ease of use, & the classic design of the mailer (with well-loved Peanuts characters). I'm buying stamps today because of this marketing!! Relevant, time-saver for the holidays, AND entertaining to boot! Great job, USPS!!

Fun & Fabulous. The app is cool and worked fabulous for me. I believe the reviews with single stars may not understand augmented reality (AR) technology. It works with AR images, not just any picture, and must be positioned just right for the reader to use. Download the app and play with the collection boxes. I easily ordered priority boxes, too. USPS Digital Fail. No instructions on first use + couldn't get it to work on several images in mailer I received (about this app) = #USPSFail. Be very thought, poor execution. Did they do ANY user testing before investing in this campaign?!? Bad customer experience!

Wasted time. Normal stamp prices then they actually charge you for shipping and handling (really?). I'll just stop off and buy some stamps when I need them. That's a half an hour of my life I'll never get back!

You don't need my location. It's one thing to ask for my location while I am using the app. It's a completely other issue to want it all the time, even when I am not using it.

Doesn’t work. All that money on the beautiful ‘Irresistible’ catalog only to be failed in execution. Don’t send these to marketers without that hard judgement. USPS was starting to have a chance to reposition itself.

Worthless. This is the best app I’ve ever downloaded that never works. I wish more apps wouldn’t work like this.

Doesn't work!. I loaded this App thinking great a helpful App from the post office. Wrong. All I can get are the brackets to scan, can't get to anything else. No home page no way to get to any of the other functions. This App needs work!!!

Hard to start app. When I click the app icon I just see floating little circles. No menu! What do you have to do to start using the app?

Was ok...until they changed something.... What happen to the Peanut Gang??! Used to be good. Now it's a gift wrapped box? 😕

Not working. Useles app. It will Say to align your artwork with brackets but all you SE is some circles bouncing from center and back with nothing else happening. Deleted!!!!

Useless. This app is useless. All it does is go back to the scan screen from which there is no exit. What a waste of time.

Pointless.. I like the USPS best when it comes to getting a physical object from point A to B, but this app is a desperate attempt to justify bringing me a piece of paper to tell me something.

Really?. I received a postcard in the mail and scanned the front of it to see what it was about. REALLY? USPS, you've spent taxpayer money in an app that animates a photograph of a shipping box? How on earth is this useful to anyone? Fooled me once.
