Clicking is annoying and frustrating. No matter how hard I try, there is a clicking sound at the start of every single recording. WHY?

Frustation. I have used this app for years without problems. All of a sudden it is asking for my Touch ID and immediately kicks me out even though my Touch ID works with every other app. I took notes recently for a meeting and I can’t access them because I keep getting booted out. What the heck? Not good!!! I am so frustrated!

Needs Re-tooling & Better UI Management. I once truly loved this app. It’s a shame that it has declined in my opinion over the last few years. Firstly, the app icon is horrendous. It was once detailed with hints of red and other detail. Now, that is just cosmetic, the app fails in it’s UI. Firstly, after many successful years, it appears that the developer has grown complacent. No iCloud, and no Noise Reduction - Really?! Next, after making a recording, you must exit the app and then re-enter the app to review your work. - Priceless...

The icon is ugly but program is great. I’ve used this weekly for 5 years to record weekly sermons live during church service. Works exactly as expected.

Simple, straightforward, uncomplicated recorder. I would have rated this app more highly, but even though it does what it is supposed to do the makers of this app have not updated it in about three years! It also has everything set up with in app purchases.

App Stopped Working. I have been using this app for apps and a few days ago it just stopped working and will not open on my iPhone XS. I had everything backed up but still just can’t open the app. This has been very discouraging because no other apps have the same recording quality. Can anyone help me out with this issue?

Works but not perfect. I just had an hour long recording just not save. I'm really disappointed. It's worked pretty well for me other than that instance, just doesn't have a ton of features.

background recording not working. the whole reason i bought this app was that supposedly background recording was a function. well it completely shuts off when using Skype, foreground or background. and there is no customer service or email at the developer website. very frustrating.

Extra features are a plus!. I like being able to jump back five seconds or a minute jump ahead 20 seconds when listening to a file for transcription. Minus one star because often times there's a bug when replaying and it stops showing time or location within the audio file. I also wish there were a way to backup multiple files at once.

Data selling. This app, while useful, appears to record and sell the data without user's consent. This is problematic and disturbing. One day after the word "Kellogg's" was mentioned in a recording, I see an ad featuring some Kellogg company.

Used to be Great. I made the mistake of updating the app, and all the normal functions of the app became in-app purchases. I had already paid for the app and now I had to pay more for the same functionality, ridiculous. Also, the app never really worked the same after that. It used to deliver top-quality audio, with pro controls and recording options; I even used it to record audio for a pro video shoot with a lav mic; it was a great option if you run out of lavs. Unfortunately, I can no longer use it professionally. I switched to TwistedWave, and even the apple voice memos app is pretty good now. I wish this app was what it used to be.

The BEST Recorder. I’m so glad that I have this app. I record my church sermons and I have the opportunity to listen to them later. I absolutely love this.

Worked great until latest IOS UPGRADE.. IOS13 seems to have broken Touch ID for this app. Now I cannot open app; it crashes. I can’t get to my recordings. Ugh!! Please update app since it’s been since IOS 11!

In-App Purchase not showing up. I was looking for an alternative to the iPhone voice memo app since the new update has rendered it slow and buggy. I was excited to use this app with it’s accessible interface. The recording has gone well so far, but when I purchased the audio visualizer nothing I record has any visual under the recording. I have closed the app, restarted it, etc but to no avail. How do I get my in-app purchase to show? What’s more, the support for the app is very poor. The have closed email support and direct you to the App Store for help, but the App Store still has a link for “support for the app” that again directs you to their website where they do not have any contact option.

Great app!. I really like Voice Recorder. I usually use it to record my flute teacher playing a song I am learning to play. I also use it to hear how I sound when I play. I appreciate having this available.

Use it for radio remote broadcast. The quality is awesome. I’ve done a whole show from my phone. Love it!

Decent. The developers seem to keep up with updates. The only thing is when I record the audio playback isn’t that great. It’s like I’m speaking through muffled microphone or something. The user interface is pretty great.

Can’t open app. Lost files. I can no longer open this app. Tried contacting app support, but the site won’t load that page. Same results on the developer page. Extremely disappointed because I cannot access files.

Help!. I purchased this yesterday, worked fine the first time, now it crashes. Everything is up to date

The program. so far, I have no complaints. It works really good, I use it for my projects, I can send felt back-and-forth from my iMac easily and effortlessly. adding to my review, again, Great product!

Upgrades do not work and no support.. The voice recording works so far. I paid for the upgrade to have playback controls but the controls do not appear on the screen after purchase. Bad. Perhaps it is a simple fix but cannot get ahold of support to get an answer. Double bad.

Great app! Wish it had a companion Watch app. Wish there was an Watch app. Not necessarily with full controls or playback but with at least a hot button to stop/start recording remotely. Even better if I could quick start a recording with voice from my wrist. Nevertheless, it’s still my favorite voice recorder. Great quality recordings. Transcription is great for memorializing conference notes. Over the years, I’ve purchased several of the add-ins and each was well worth the money.

Trimming. Trimming doesn’t work and support and help doesn’t work either. So I purchased the trimming option and can’t use it. The recorder itself works great.

Outstanding. Best recorder app yet...I have used many. The only thing I would add is a repeat button or loop. I use it to record song Ideas and I have to keep pressing play to listen to my hook or lines. Besides that I love the app

Great app!. It’s easy to use! I paid for some extra features and I’m able to convert the wave files to mp4 files. This allows me to upload the audio files to my blog or email audio files to my clients. Love this app!

Just get it!. I've had this app on my iPad for most of my life and it some how got deleted off. So I'm re downloading it and it's just so good! It's easy to save recordings and it's just super cool. Just get it, please!

Stops working. The app is fine when it works, but when I start to use it I usually have to delete it and reinstall, then it works a few times.

App stopped working. Was a good product that I enjoyed but as a few days ago I can not open the app at all. Was my preferred voice recording app without a doubt. Is anyone looking into this?

Not as advertised. Description showed there are options for speed (I want to listen to my lectures at 1.5 speed), and I thought the $2.99 purchase include this speed option. I bought it but it’s requiring additional purchase of $1.99 for speed option, which I also bought. But the speed option is the same as free app so I just wasted $4.99. I can’t even request refund Cos Apple told me to contact the company eFusion, Ltd but they don’t even have customer support on their website. Don’t waste your money. Just get the free app like VoiceRecorderLite, which has the same feature.

Very clear, with quality options.. Load it up with the in app purchases for a premium quality recorder with really good options. Currently not working under iOS 13. Biometric lock fail. Developers website pointing to a blank Wordpress site. Hope someone is working on this. Update for anyone having touch unlock issues. Use 3D Touch on icon to bring up the app and then go into settings to turn off touch unlock. App seems to work ok afterwards. Hope the developer is ok.

Does not want to record?. I don’t understand, I purchased this app, which is supposed to record while other apps are open. Yet it doesn’t even want to record when it is the only app that is open?

Years Later, Still Uses Non-Standard Playback. This app has the potential to be the perfect audio recording utility, but unfortunately, it has a glaring and negligent flaw: it plays audio back through its own non-standard interface, not through Apple’s API. This means NO Control Center controls, NO Airplay, NO Bluetooth. It’s extremely disappointing.

Recorder. I use this app frequently and it does a good job. Some improvements; The transcrbeMe requires a Pass word that no information was given to try to use this feature. Boost the listening and audio to provide a better operating system.

Even Better then Expected!. This app is exactly what I was looking for - it records perfectly- even if I’m across the room. One request I would love is if they had the play back or replay speed at 1 1/4 and 1.5 not just one time or two times the speed - sometimes I just want it to speed up a little bit or 50%. Thank you for your fabulous product!

App Crashes Now. I just recorded an entire podcast series, exporting every single one luckily, but now the app crashes every time you try to open it. It comes up asking for fingerprint but the iPhone 11 does not have fingerprint, it tries to do Face ID and crashes. Please fix this. This was my favorite recording app and now it’s garbage

Quick and easy to use. I grab this recorder all the time to sing song ideas and make reference recordings. Very grateful for this tool which I am relying on more and more.

Stopped working and can’t access recordings!. This app now freezes and crashes every time and will not open. It’s clear lots of others have this same issue. It has not been updated and now does not open and so users can not access their data. The developer needs to fix this asap!

The Share button doesn’t work PLEAS FIX. Please fix the sharing button. It doesn’t work. My files are stuck on the phone if I can’t share. Otherwise a good high quality recording app.

Apple Watch!!!. This app is a very good app, I’ve had it for years and use it often. However, the most recent changes with updates as disable the app from my Apple Watch. There is no such update that you can find for the watch you can only use it from your phone. This is very disappointing considering our use the app all the time and with vanilla watch it’s kind of pointless to have if you are mandated to use an app on your phone only.😫😩😤

Used to be great but now crashes constantly. Please tell me why this app used to be the best in audio recording but now the app crashes all the time. I paid for the additional things like trimming and such but the app crashes before I can use them.

Operating instructions!!. Very useful app however it needs to come with some operating instructions. I’ve lost many recordings because I did not stop or exit the recording properly.. Actually - I am guessing that’s where I went wrong. I need operating instructions to determine what I did wrong. Otherwise- great app when I don’t inadvertently erase meetings.

Can’t get help. I have “lost” an important recording and can not find where it is stored. No one will reply to my emails or cry’s for help. I usually use my phone to record, but this time I had to use my iPad and it’s totally different. So I can’t find the recording. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

Easy and Great Voice Recorder. I’ve been using this app since I first bought an iPhone! And that was iPhone 5! I’ve used it to record voice notes, and I’ve used it to record vocal rehearsals, and I once recorded a demo (song) with this app. It suits my needs and it’s pretty fantastic. I pay for all the extras and they are well worth the price. I highly recommend it!

Cannot restore purchased features. This app has some add on features that make it very useful such as trimming. However, after purchasing I cannot restore these features as the restore button is not available. Support said it would be fixed shortly. Been over a year

Awesome. I also had the bug problem which prevented opening of the app, but after this update everything is fixed and back to normal. It really is a superb note recording machine with beautiful graphics and functionality. I use it to practise my foreign languages (listen back to me and spot mistakes) and practise for oral assessments at uni, but it is awesome for making mental notes or recording anything, really.

You had one job.... Fancy features are nice - though paying for them piecemeal in an already-purchased app much less so - but the one thing a recorder absolutely must do is reliably record. I bought the app specifically to record an important meeting. 10 minutes in my PhD new range - as phones will. I checked the app and it still showed as recording. Got to the end of the 1 hr meeting, turned it on ff thinks ng I had a complete record. Got back to the office to find a 10 minute file. Sorry, that's a *fundamental* failure. You had one job.

Problems. Worked great when I first bought it and drop box is a great idea too. Unfortunately it doesn't work properly on my iPhone 4 even with the software and app updates. I bought this app so I could have something to quickly record song ideas on and transfer them easily. Frustrating because I make my living from composing. Please fix it!!!???

No support. I love this app, but every so often I have to delete and reinstall the app because the voice quality of the new recordings gets garbled. I would like to ask them about fixing it, but it says their support is through the app store. Shame.

Great Recorder!!. I was looking for a recorder that cost under $10. I wanted to have something that would record while i am using other apps, eg recording meditation music to put on cd instead of using all my phone battery. This does the job just fine! I read previous reviews, the current version allows free playback, if you press the little icon in the corner in Voice Memos. I am thinking of purchasing the additional upgrade of trimming. A well priced app and the upgrades are affordable. Happy user.

voice recorder. this is such a fantastic app - i attend a lot of mtgs and this app is able to pick up audio frm all around the room-voices are clearly distinguishable...luv it!

Waste of money. This is not what is described, it does exactly what the ordinary voice recorder does. I was looking for something that I could navigate or provide a better fast forward and rewind option.

There’s a glitch. I have been trying to record urgent things and iv tried to open the app and it closes as I open to access! Please fix it! Why hasn’t this issue been fixed? Iv seen complaints of this issue since October by others and it hasn’t been fixed!

Useless with Skype. Just purchased this app to record Skype conversations but it doesn't work at all! I was wearing my headset during a Skype interview, could perfectly hear all the voices loud and clear; unfortunately the app was able to capture only my voice. The other one was absolutely unintelligible. There is no control to adjust recording volumes or gains so it's useless to me. Plus I sent them an email asking for a refund but no reply as yet. Disappointing... Think about before buying!

It does just what I wanted. I'm a musican who wanted a simple voice recorder to jot down my song writing ideas. This does it perfectly. Syncs to PC and emails files just like it said it would.

Worst app ever. Tried recording several seminars only to have it stop randomly and worst of all just didn't save one of the most important ones and two others. Just disappeared into thin air partly due I'm sure to the fact there is no save option, I'm guessing it's supposed to auto save. I am disappointed!

No fast forward or rewind. Useless as a professional recorder, can only record in linear time, no fast forward or rewind function. Would not recommend.

Felt tricked by ad. Be careful - you must pay extra to get the features advertised. I would rather the developer be upfront and reveal it costs almost three times as much as the app itself before it performs as presented. Left a bad taste in my mouth...

Ok. It's a great apps only if you could hear it. The voice recording is so low in volume that I have need ear phones and even then it's not loud.

Don't buy this app!. 1. Takes 20 seconds to start recording after your press record. 2. Locks up for 20 seconds after it stops recording. 3. Crashes constantly.

Usability is good, exporting option dumb. It's a good app in terms of usability. The only way to get a file off is Dropbox, dumb.

Was great. But now I get an obstructed window when l want to view the list of previous recording. Almost on unusable. Please fix thank you.

Recorder. Love it. I am secretary to a local croquet club and record all executive meetings to do the minutes make my life very easy.

Waste of money. They make it sound like it has recording studio features but it has nothing but basic stuff ... and you have to buy the basic features separately. Rip off!

Exfremely useful, very good as note taker. Very easy to use, intuitive interface, i use it every day. Would be good to have a compressed file format to save space.

Recorder review. Excellent quality & the ability to send via Dropbox is excellent idea, one issue I think the recipient has to have app & if they do not have an iPad or iPhone they cannot receive the .wav file, it i am wrong someone is going to correct me

Easy to use with a good sound. Have had this App for a while and have found it useful for grabbing kids performances and recital practices. Transfer of the sound bites to the computer is a bit more complex.

Liars - no external mic support. I am furious! After reading all their website it specifically says it supports external mice. IT DOES NOT I paid, then upgraded, then upgraded, then upgraded some more. All this costs money. BUT never did this feature appear. DO NOT GET TRICKED! Do not believe the 5-sate ratings on their website: they are fake because you cannot add a review. They made them up!!! Outrageous! Scam!

Great for quality recording. I’ve done many recordings for guided meditations and it has never disappointed me. One point of feedback: when I play back on my iPhone, I can’t connect to my Bluetooth headphones. I am not sure if this is possible but it would be great to have.

Pleasantly surprised. I wanted a very basic voice recorder which backed up to the cloud. And this one does the job. I've not had any problems with it crashing, etc as described by another reviewer.

Play back issues. Be aware that when you pay to buy this app you can record. However unlike normal sound recorders don't try to play back your recording because you have to pay more money for the luxury of that feature. Very deceptive and underhanded marketing. Becoming typical of the Apple apps store. Apps that are poor quality and dodgy marking techniques are now typical of the Apple apps store. Pity

This app is causing me grief. Made a recording and the app locked up on save. Every time I try to run the app it won't open. Not only can't use the app, but I lost my recording. Emailed support and still no reply for over a week.

Waste of money. Do not bother with this app it does not work , an absolute waist of money.

Very good app. Controls are large, easy to see and the app is ready to record when first opened. MP3 in app purchase would be good, airdrop is possible (haven't tried it ). Very good app, room for some improvement.

Amazing recording app!!. This is the only app I use to record all of my speaking engagements! Great quality and easy to work with! Great app; worth the purchase!

No Folders/Links to Sales. App is very simple with no way to create folders and organize recordings. The settings tabs just provides links so you can buy more features. This was a waste of money for what you get. App works fine just over priced.

Really choked. A song idea struck me and I thought, great! I will record it on my new recorder app!!! I picked up my guitar and I pressed record on this thing in hopes of committing my moment in time to its ability to record it. When I was finished my song I opened my phone and was excited to press stop recording and listen to what I had wrote. I was absolutely gutted when the app crashed on me and I lost the recording!!!! ARRGGHHHHH :-(

Happy. This app is easy to use . I like that I can have another app open at the same time . It records well but I'm going to pay the extra .99 cents to pic up sound further away and to hear quiet speaking People . I'm also going to buy the extra for xf.f and rewind.

No support. My phone died and I had important meeting recordings on it that won’t transfer to my new phone. I tried using the help feature in the settings, but my phone just says their website is fraudulent. Great recorder with terrible support.

Great Ap. I really like it, it picks up good sound and has good enough range, u can lock your iPhone screen and it still records for discreet recording. It's simple to use.

Can't find audio Visualizer. I purchased audio Visualizer but I didn't get the download....Guessing the app isn't compatible with ios7...

Background recording. This is an excellent app, works as advertised, no problems, great quality. Runs in the background so you can type notes while recording.

Trimming won’t work after purchasing that feature???. I like the functionality of the rest of the app, but I bought this specifically for the trimming feature. I will change rating to 5 STARS if and when the developer fixes this problem for me. It even says in the app settings that I have purchased that feature, but both TRIMMING and DELETE are greyed out and unusable.

Nice app. This is a great application, I have never experienced any problem, I have been using it for more then a year already and still not issues to report. The audio files are recorded in Wave format I would like to get a MP3 files as well. Highly recommended!

Not very good. This app was bought to upload voice recordings to Facebook but it doesn't.

HD Recorder. I've had to deinstalled and reinstall this app twice in less than 1 month, losing all vfiles on the deinstall - very irritating and unstable app, great of it works.

Disappointing. This app only records in Wav, it crashes enough to be a noticeable problem, it sometimes doesn't load your memos and needs to be restarted. And guys, my last straw was the constant, frequent and annoying popup telling me cellular data wasn't enabled. At least put in an option to disable that. I'm moving on after using this for years. I waited too long.

Crashes Upon Opening. Since upgrading to IOS7, this App has NOT worked. It crashes upon opening...very frustrating! The new update has not fixed the issue. I am using the IPhone 5s.

A reasonable buy. I've been using this app for about 2 years and it is quite good. Although it has its occasional glitches, it is records at a good quality. It records for lengthy amounts of time (I have made recordings up to 4 hours long). You can also synchronize your recordings directly with your DropBox or iCloud. Overall, a reasonable buy.

a good app. This is a fine app that has done everything I've needed. This works far better than the hand-held recorders that I used before, never knowing whether it was still recordding, run out of battery, etc.

Waste of money. Can't relabel the recordings (unbelievable shortcoming!), records only in .wav format - only the most inefficient format! Don't waste your $2!

Good App, but.... If you want to cut, or work with it, you have to buy additions. The Audio visualzer, Audio Boost, M4A Konverter all the little things it would make it efficient, cost extra money. If I would had known it before, I would not have down loaded it.

disappointment. this recorded 11 minutes of 2 hour meeting. I purchased unlimited recording. Must be unlimited up to 11 minutes. They need to warn us. Do not buy this.

Trimming. I paid for the TRIMMING but other than a useless new bottom that says Trimming, there is no way to make any trimming. The recorder is very basic so if the purchased features do not work the whole thing is useless

No Developer Contact info. I need to retrieve voice recordings on a new phone that were not backed up on the old phone I lost. I cannot find any contact information for tech support except in Japanese. Any advice?

Has stopped working. iPhone 8+ newest OS, formerly GREAT app has stopped working and seems development has also stopped.

Not a huge fan. I liked the app that came with my old iPhone 4. This one is more cumbersome, and DOES NOT WORK WITH BLUETOOTH.

Don’t buy. Good sound quality but disappointing overall performance. Buying the app for $3 doesn’t give you simple features like playback, that other apps give for free. RIPOFF

Abandonware — don't buy this!. Tried to use it today, and it ate my recording. Nada, zip, zilch. Sorry I ever paid for the premium features. Too bad, because it was a nice app when it worked.

The app stop working. I have some important recordings I want to retrieve, but the app stops working. Once I authenticate my fingerprint, the app shots down.

Not what you think your getting.. Downloaded this, only to discover that virtually every useful thing (ex. Recording sensitivity)requires a separate purchase to either activate or use to its fullest extent. Calling this a deceptive piece of software is an understatement.

Wat. Why did I just pay 3 dollars for a microphone worse than the one that comes with my phone?

Sanity-Saving Best Friend. This app has been my best friend in organizing my thoughts, ideas, and sketches for my songs. As a songwriter, there's nothing worse than being on a bus or at work and coming up with a brilliant idea, only to have it lost to meaningless redundancies of the daily grind. The fact that it works with Dropbox is valuable beyond description, and I can even play something, record it, and email it to my bassist immediately. It's incredibly easy to use, doesn't use too much memory, and it's been an amazing tool for my band. Whether I'm commuting to work, composing a song in my room, or at band practice, I never have to suffer the madness of saying goodbye to another song idea again. I switched phones recently and noticed that I had 127 ideas on my old phone, which had already been backed up. I noticed that several of the earlier ones were "sketches" that have become some of our band's best songs. I couldn't have done it without my Recorder app! I do wish it had the ability to import files, as I'd love to keep some of my old ideas on my current phone, but it's an acceptable flaw. When my old phone began running out of space, I also noticed it'd start recording for 2 seconds and stop. The next attempt would always work, but it was a little vexing. Otherwise a perfect tool.

Restoring Voice Memos. I restored from my iCloud backup that shows my voice memos that are stored on. No voice memos came back.

Doesn't work. I bought your app and now your app doesn't work, it crash first and close the app!!! Please update

Dracula App. Tried it after having not tried but on my iPhone. Red button was just “re-start”; trying to stop, and went on without stopping for over 4hours!! Looked for silver bullet or sage infused stake; not to be found!! Deleted app. Scary!

Misleading app description. They charge $3 for the app but that gets you zero functionality aside from recording and playback. You can’t edit your recordings—you have to pay extra to work with your recordings. GARBAGE!

Doesn’t work iPhone X. Paid for effects and now it doesn’t work. I wouldn’t purchase anything from this developer EVER again!

They charged me without upfront warning ?. I downloaded this app. I did not see any charges. This app doesn’t work for me so I deleted it right away and hours later they charge my card without my knowledge!!!

Be carful!. Great app, but be carful the 2.99 you pay for the app doesn’t unlock trimming and other basic features. Sneaky Sneaky.

lost recordings, etc.. A 45 minute recording (which I needed for a class) just disappeared and the app no longer opens on my phone. Incredibly disappointing.

Not working on my ipad. Have no idea why, but it isn’t working on my ipad. I purchased the audio boost and can only really, really faintly hear my recording. Sound is turned up all the way. Help!

Everything is paid to unlock. Most apps are worth the money you pay: definitely not the case for this one.

Scam. Ya it’s a cool product but to have loud volume you have to purchase it separately! What kind of scam is that! Wow you also have to buy a function just to listen to your own recordings. Total F ing scam

Files disappeared within app—please help!. All my files have disappeared from within the app—please help! I once adored this app! I can find no help, but if someone will get in touch and help me get the files back into the app, I will read it five stars. Please can someone help? I had been using it for songwriting and during vocal harmony rehearsals, for many years (not to mention capturing precious, hilarious moments with my then-young child). The ability to slow down a recorded piece to half-time, yet maintain pitch, is incredibly handy when trying to determine subtle nuance. This feature has been immensely helpful in deciphering pronunciation and character in language translation of songs, for example. The image of the vintage-style pro mic is beautiful and professionally satisfying to behold. Please consider refining the iCloud sync? It would be so efficient to move between devices, launch the app, and access your recordings right there—exactly where you left off. The only syncing method I can determine is a series of steps: click the right arrow on each individual recording, then click “Share,” select “Save to Files,” then choose iCloud Drive. Unfortunately, after launching the app on another device, the iCloud-synced recordings do not appear within the app. They’ve disappeared! I had to launch the Files app to see the recordings on iCloud Drive, and click on each one to download them. But after quitting and re-launching Voice Recorder HD, the downloaded recordings do not appear. I am not really sure what to do, or how to get them to appear in the Voice Recorder HD app on other devices, but I would really love to be able to move between my devices and see the same recordings synced between them. Thank God the files are safe. but I want to launch them sometimes from within the app, in order to listen. Why have they disappeared? Can you please help me get them back in the app? I can see no logical way for how to make this happen, no “import.” If this app could be set up to sync seamlessly and automatically with iCloud, just once and done, and especially if my files would also not disappear from within the app, I’d give it 5 stars.

Difficult. All in all this app is fine. Trimming is very very difficult. I probably will try to stop and start more accurately then try trimming.

Weak quality. If you expect a great sound don’t buy this app my recording on my iPhone is better than this app HD. I see that you have to buy the audio booth to get better sound. It’s a reap off to me.

Basic Audio Recording. Voice Recorder HD is a solid app for simple recording situations. I have used it on both my iPhone and iPad with consistently good results. For example, recording a lecture in a large 1,000 person capacity concert hall sitting about 200 feet from where the speaker was talking. Of course, the crowd present was very quiet, and so the built in microphone on my iPad worked fine. I have also used it with my iPhone and a small Apple headset with built-in mic positioned close to the subject while doing an interview for a story. The important thing for all non-tech users to remember is this: All the rules of basic audio recording still apply. No app in the world can overcome an amateurish recording approach. So, it helps tremendously to record in a quiet place. It makes a big difference using an external mic as opposed to the small built-mic in your smartphone or tablet. And, it's also important to position that mic within a few inches of the person or persons speaking. If you have to record outside, consider that traffic and wind noise will degrade the quality of your audio. If you are recording inside, nearby conversations and bad room acoustics (lots of hard surfaces) will do the same. I suspect the users with complaints did NOT follow these simple rules of basic recording. Oh well, their loss for not taking a little time to learn how to do things right.

Creating new file. The recording works well but every time I need to start a new file, I have to turn my phone off and re-start. This is a real hassle
