Loving YUP!. My daughter has always struggled with math through out grade school and in to JH. We decided to give YUP a try to see if we could improve her grades and her confidence for her freshman year. I can’t tell you what an amazing experience it has been! She went from a C-D average to being a A-B student!! It has given her so much more confidence. Her being able to understand her homework is worth every cent! I’m so glad we found YUP! The ease of access for her to be able to use it when ever she needs it is such an amazing benefit! And not only the tutors but the people at YUP care about making it the best experience for her! This app is great 😁. I have struggled with math in school, and I feel like being able to communicate with a tutor via text as opposed to in person makes learning easy. The pricing seems competitive here and you can choose between a subscription or per hour. 5/5 would give more if I could 👍

Very Unprofessional....I think this may be fake. I saw this app being advertised about a week ago on Facebook. Looked at there website and not much info. Googled them and not much info. I downloaded there app to see if I could get more info. They sent me a email and said to reply to talk to a director. I replied to the email 2x’s without a response. Then I got a text from the same guy that sent me the email. He didn’t even put 2 and 2 together and recognize I had already been in touch. I just wanted to get some basic info and they could not do it. They insisted I needed to talk to there director and made a appointment time. Every time I was in contact throughout the whole process they were very unprofessional....final straw was the director called me 40 min later than our appointment time. At that point I said to myself this is too fishy and I will not get dooped. So be careful everyone.....be careful is all I can say

Exactly 🙌🏽 what I’ve 😬 been Looking For🙌🏽. I’ve been having problems this semester with some teachers who like to give tests and assignment but do a bad job at teaching😡. Needless to say that combination brought down my grades😭. But a friend recommended this app after I told him I can’t bother paying or finding the time to meet up with tutors. The app and the services provided is incredibly convenient and I love it🙌🏽😁🙌🏽.

Overpriced for quality of tutoring and technology platform. My daughter had used this app for help with Algebra 2 and Geometry at times over the last year or so. Typically she used it when she was stuck on a problem, especially late at night. She found the quality of the tutors and their helpfulness to be highly variable, with some being so unhelpful she would disconnect with the hope of finding another. The technology platform is also limiting. Other online tutoring platforms are more like an online classroom. This is more like text messaging. We were originally paying $50 per month, I believe for a certain number of minutes. This was a reasonable fee structure for the quality of tutoring and the limitations of the platform. My daughter needed some help with a math problem last night and logged on to get some help. The next thing I know I was charged $899 dollars (no, that is NOT a typo) for a six month renewal. They have changed their platform to unlimited tutoring at a minimum 3 month membership is $599 and a year is $1199. This product is simply not worth this type of investment. It is really too bad because at $50 a month it was good for what it is.

Easy and cheap.. This app is so wonderful and helpful in different way . seriously it is like a group study with all the people in world. And most important thing is that, when u have any difficulties in physics or math, you are almost gurranted to get answer with in a minutes. Thank you so much

This app is a complete waste of money. I just subscribed to yup about three months ago to help me with my college calculus class and AP chemistry. Now what they’re promising you are advance tutors that can provide you help 24/7 ,but that is not the case. There has been multiple occasions to where it’s taken up to 15 minutes just to connect with the tutor. They’re teaching methods take hours to explain simple concepts that would take normal tutors only a few minutes to explain. On other occasions the tutor has either A)not been able to help me with the problem or B) has gotten the problem entirely wrong. Not only have I chose not to resubscribe them but they just took $300 from my account without my consent. I’ve been disconnected from them multiple times and their customer service is horrible. They promise to fix the issue but never do! They never respond to my emails or complaints and I’m just about fed up. DO NOT subscribe to this company because it is a complete waste of your time and money!

Very useful!. Awsome app! This app app was recommended to me from a friend who is currently using it, I didn't think it would be that good but I was amazed once I started using it. Online help immediately anytime anywhere with a live tutor, get help with any type of math problem instantly. The online tutors are very helpful and polite, I highly recommend this app for anyone who needs help with math problems straight from your mobile device.

Decent App. As much as the people were not fast but did try to help I feel like the free 20 minutes is not enough give us 30 every week since what if parents don't trust the app you guys will most likely still get paid by others but people who want free help we should not be restricted to paying

saved my life 😇. i just wanna say THANK YOU to the people behind this app because it’s so useful. the teacher person was really patient with me, i get scared about being wrong and stuff but there was no judgement and i felt comfortable talking to her. i finally understand the concepts of some of the stuff we’re learning in algebra and it was far easier to understand over my actual teacher at school. she put it in terms that was simple but effective and i really appreciate that 🙌🏽

AWESOME!. Ok, so I’m a freshman at George Washington High School and we had a YUP representative come on and set us up. That very night we had homework that I was completely lost in and so I used the app and I was amazed! Super easy, super convenient and I was paired with a great tutor under 30 seconds! Ten out of ten would recommend for anyone who could really use someone to explain an equation to you from the comforts of your home and without having to deal with staying in at lunch or after school.

BEST APP AVAILABLE. This app is perfect for helping me from the comfort of my home when I need it. I’ve never waited over a minutes for a tutor, and they all have positive attitudes with the goal to help me learn. There are other apps like this, but this one is by far the best one. It is worth every penny. I would recommend this app to everyone.

everything is glitchy and slow. I am not a pessimistic person but this app is a no go for me. The app constantly crashes and is so glitchy it’s crazy. It takes so long for a simple concept to be discussed. I will be on the app for an hour and thirty minutes just for a simple algebra problem. There’s troubles with the camera on the app and often doesn’t take pictures of your work, the wait time is horrendous, and the app overall isn’t set up well. I Seriously say don’t get the app and waste your money like that. Try other alternatives.

I love this app. I think this app is not only amazing but also affordable and incredibly convenient. I also have social anxiety so I don't like meeting people in person one on one or face to face. It is just not my thing. But in this app, the teachers are so good and there is a reason why they are featured on so many platforms AND i can communicate through an app instead of in person. This app has really helped my grades get much better, and My parents are so proud of my results! They have worked so hard to raise me, and I just want to make them happy! This app really has changed my whole study life and how I approach things, making me more efficient and precise when attacking homework and more. Thank you!

Like Slader, but more efficient. I’ve been using Slader for the past 2 months for help on calculus, and the walkthroughs on that app are okay but nothing compared to the walkthroughs on this app. It’s so much more effective when I actually learn the stuff than just copying down the answers.

Awesome. Was looking for something to help me with my homework but i wanted to actually learn so that way i could jsut do it myself. I tried photomath and that just gives me the answer and dosent really teach me. This app however actually lets me learn so i can do it on my own. I would suggest this to anyone needing it.

It's really amazing 😉. Helps me study and complete my homework while teachers are guiding me through the steps. If I had to recommend any changes I would make sure that the explanations are slightly more detailed, because even after expanding the step for the full explanation the detail is a little sparse sometimes. But, with some tweaks this app has the chance to be a revolutionary tool in mathematic academia. Overall, fantastic app with amazing tutors.

Without this app, I would not have graduated high school 🎓🎓. I've been struggling in my geometry class as I have been getting very mediocre marks on tests & quizzes. I eventually came across this app and yup was a lifesaver. The tutors on the app were very helpful, knowledgeable on the subject, and are friendly to the user. One pro to using this app is that the tutors are very patient which is hard to come by unless you pay big bucks for a tutor. They explain everything slowly and their patience really shows in their effort to ensure you comprehend the material without struggling. The relentlessness of these tutors is what restored my confidence in mathematics and I'm slowly improving my grade one test at a time. Great app to use if high school math is your weakness.

Lifesaving App. I am currently a freshman and am in Advanced Geometry. Before Yup, I struggled to understand the concepts being taught and it was difficult to find time to have my teacher explain. With this app, the explanations are clear and quick. The instructors are wonderful and convey such a positive attitude and great teaching style. I am sorry for the other reviewers that have had negative experiences, because when I have used this app I have had nothing but good results. Tutors were found in usually less than a minute, they were encouraging, the explanations were precise and to the point, and they truly took time to make sure the students understand what they are asking about. I would highly recommend this app to anyone that is struggling.

Exactly what I needed! 😻. I normally have a big problem with algebra and I get stuck very easily and get really stressed. However, the tutor I got was incredibly nice 👍 and helped me step by step and fit around my style of learning so I could find other questions easier ☺️!! Help as soon as I needed it. I was having difficulties trying to finish my homework and it was due the next morning. It was late at night and didn't want to bother my math professor. A friend told to get this app so I did and found a tutor really quick. He helped me until I understood it fully and be able to even teach it to him. I will use this app again because sometimes I am not able to make it to my professors office hours. 👍👍👍

Super helpful - heavily recommended for kids.. Many services offer tutors, but Yup is one of a kind in the quality of the tutors they hire. They actually care about teaching “how” you get to answer instead of just filling in the blanks. They taught my niece underlying concepts that put her ahead of her math group. I couldn’t be happier.

Best tutoring app ever!!. I was having trouble with some math homework and heard about Yup from a friend who had used it for an assignment a while ago. I couldn’t figure out this section of math problems in my homework so I used Yup tutors. The helped me understand the concepts behind the questions and were patient and super nice. I’ll be using Yup next time I need homework help..... best app ever!!!

Love this! Helped me with General Chemistry. I had to take a basic chemistry refresher course! I forgot everything! Then I got this app and I was able to review things long before we went over them in class! I was ahead of everyone without even trying. The tutors are really good and they made chemistry really easy for me. Things that I didn't get years ago I get now! It's great 😃😃😃😃.

Positive opinion. Usually I'd be against an app that does the homework for you but my little brother had already tried it and his first tutor left a good impression since he actually learned something! We tried it again and the tutor was again really helpful, so I do let him use it for his homeworks now.

Taken advantage of. My daughter had 4 algebra two problems that she needed tutoring help with. The First tutor we had, despite my daughter having the correct answer, kept asking her to explain it - making my daughter feel as if the answer was wrong. This went on past our free trial. He went on for 15 minutes making her explain it and when she stated the answer she had 15 min earlier, he said it was correct. It was completely unnecessary to have her explain it when she knew the answer. He made it appear that she had the wrong answer during that 15 minute time period. I disconnected from that tutor. I Reconnected with another tutor to help her with one question however on the second question she disconnected from us because I believe she did not understand how to do the equation. I can hear and got the same tutor and she disconnected. This is completely unacceptable especially since were paying for it. My daughter is a visual learner and the third tutor would not write out the equation for her to understand, but kept asking her in written form to explain it. Kept saying could you please write up equation so I can understand it and she would not do so. It appears the tutors do not know how to help the students in their learning styles. I would not waste your money on this. I would get a one on one tutor face-to-face - it will save you money in the long run. Run from this app!!!

This app works very well!. I am surprised how this app works. Sometimes my son have a hard time solving math problem on his homework so I download this app to get some help. It works really good because there are tutors who help explain how to do the problem. This app is something I would use everyday. I rate this 10/10! 👍😊

Good With Flaws. This app really helped me get through my Algebra 2 homework and I still use it to this day. I don’t really have any complains against the app except that sometimes the tutors take a very long time to help you. While they do take you through every step and possibility of the problem you’re working on, sometimes not everyone has 40mins-1 hour to work on 1 problem. But it does vary from tutor to tutor. A tip I use is being a little assertive with the tutors and telling them exactly what you need help with and if you need to leave. I find that helps speed things along if needed. Again I love this app, but I wish the speed was a bit faster and they didn’t ask 5 long follow up questions after every single problem

Feeling Positive. Although math is my weakest subject. With Yup I’ve been doing a lot better and understanding way more. Without feel discouraged and not understood as I would in front of someone. I am able to explain what I understand have a positive response from the tutors I have had. I love this app and highly recommend it to anyone in college or anyone dealing with math and struggling. ;)

If you’re in high school - get this!. As a sophomore in high school I have been struggling through chemistry, not anymore! With Yup I have been able to get instant tutoring that really helps! I’ve seen my grade go up 10 percent with the help of Yup. Definitely would recommend it if you’re struggling! 😄

Not a good experience. DO NOT BUY. I am a kid who had to rely on Yup for homework, so you can trust me when I say that you CANNOT rely on this app. My problems were considered too hard and out of the curriculum for tutors, and sometimes it would take OVER AN HOUR to find a tutor who would be able to solve the problem. The solution would be slow and boring, and the tutors belittle you and make you think you are a child. The tutors are rude and snappy and are quick to yell at you or use a condescending attitude. ESPECIALLY IN THIS TIME OF QUARANTINE, do not get taken advantage of. The service is long winded and you can’t back out of the deal once you realize the scam. Many of the tutors would end up giving solutions that were WRONG anyway. The app is riddled with technical difficulties. When customer service contacts you, it’s to take the side of the tutors. TRUST ME, GET A DIFFERENT TUTOR/APP!!!

Fantastic program!!!. Can’t say enough good things about this program! Yup has completely turned our daughter’s math experience around. She went from a stressed out, struggling math student to full confidence and an A grade on her final exam in a matter of weeks! The platform is perfect for her and the tutors are very positive, thorough, and confidence-boosting! They take time to make sure she understands the concepts behind the problems in a way that is very supportive and encouraging so she feels proud of what she does know instead of embarrassed by what she doesn’t. EASY HELP. THIS APP IS AMAZING!! Honestly, I have a really bad teacher who barely teaches and talks about a certain subject. However, with this app, I am able to access some help with my homework. The tutor I received was nice and was patient with me. There was always a way to solve the problem with the tutor’s help. After the tutor helps me, I would actually understand it and teach my friends on how to do a certain problem. I totally recommend this app to anyone who needs help on their homework. 👌👏

Awesome!. This app is better than my maths teacher! No, seriously, it is better than my maths teacher. I just joined a new grade and the school had already started 3 months ago. I couldn't understand a maths question. Almost 1 week now. And now, I decided to go next Level. And tried photomath ( I've already tried it a bunch of times but this was the first time I ever used it since I joined the new grade). And now I already know how to do the questions and stuff and now I can't wait for my next maths class!

Helped me get my grades up :). Before i used this app, i was having a really tough time understanding algebra but after using the 30 minute trial, I knew that it would help me a lot. So I am now using the starter plan and my grades have definitely gone up! It really helps to have this app because they explain things in a way that’s easy to understand and you can ask for help at any time :)

Tutors when you need them!. This app is so helpful for those HW problems you just can’t figure out. I like that you can take pictures of the problems right in the app and contact tutors when you need them. Much easier and cheaper then hiring tutors IRL.

Helpful when stuck. I believe no one is a fan of math problems, especially hard challenging ones. 😂 I tested a question I had in one of my assignments that I wasn’t able to solve on my own. I’m actually impressed that the response time isn’t too log, and it's easy to use the app looking for help. I recommend giving it a try.

Extremely helpful app!. Yup has given our son the on-demand tutoring and help with math that he has needed going on our 2nd year. Horrific app. Let me start of by saying I NEVER write reviews but I just had to describe how bad this app is First off the interface and usability is brutal! No whiteboard for drawing problems,no voice chat, and they don't send pics. You must snap a picture and send it to them and talk with them over text which drains your time and your credit which is an absolute cash grab, just to get a simple question answered from one of there HIGHLY UNEDUCATED TUTORS. Had a tutor help me with ONE CHEMISTRY PROBLEM and it took 58 MINUTES! On top of that when I showed my professor the problem the next day he said it was incorrect. I WILL NEVER USE THIS APP AGAIN. There are tons of better options out there with far superior tutors and functionality! I WARN U DO NOT USE THIS APP!

Love it. This app is actually surprisingly great! I am a grade 11 student taking all three of their offered subjects, math, chemistry, and physics. This has been a huge life saver! I got 60 free minutes, and that's why I started a subscription($50/month btw). The tutors are so understanding and helpful. My university courses have been killin me, and they're saving me now. I’m super unhappy with the tutors on this app. They spend hours and hours on one problem and when you ask them any doubts regarding the question, they ask you questions in return, confusing you more. I’m just super unhappy with this app and I’m pretty sure I will fail my final tomorrow. Do not let those screenshots of the app fool you.

Must need app!. Can’t express my happiness ever since my niece started using this app. My sisters concerns for her Maths are all resolved now. Thanks to your team for doing hard work & keep up the good work 😊

Easy to use!. I love it so much! Its so easy and now i don't have to actually try with my algebra equations. Most math problems are now solved by Yup tutors. Thanks please for highliggting my grades

Super handy way of instant tutoring. This is a great way to connect students with tutors at a moment's notice. It's cool that they guide students rather than just giving them the answer. My parents have no idea how to do high school math anymore, so this app is a lifesaver!! 📝🙃

This app is excellent.. All those students who are preparing for tests, you must download this. It can even solve inequality in calculus; and can do many other stuffs which I am yet to discover. Just awesome!

Is this a good app? Yup!. This app really has helped me with my struggle! I’m no math whizz and probably might not be for the next couple years, but I’ll be able to understand certain things since the tutors are kind, supportive, and positive throughout!

It surprise me. At first I was unsure it would work but a send a photo of a chemistry problem invent a response within minutes with all the steps explained! This is make me understand more chemistry is so easy now 😊🙌

Awesome.... The only thing that's a bit of a nuisance is the camera resolution. It's hard to focus the image on your problem. This app works great! I got help on some pretty difficult problems :) Love the app It is very good only thing I wish it was free it would get more users and rating

Love this guys. The developers who created Yup app are very great for helping out students with such a massive study app coz you’ve helped those who don’t get the point at a immediately. So yup helps them understand well with the help of their tutors

Great tutors. I had problems with an assignment just yesterday. I tried looking for apps that can help me and I found this one. It was great and I loved it, got help and now I understand the course material better. Appreciate the help 👍

Very useful. This app is extremely helpful in many ways. I can finish my homework faster, I can get help when other teachers are available, and I can learn from my mistakes that I made! Without this app, I wouldn't be getting A's and B's right now.

THE BEST TUTORING APP!. This tutoring app helps me with so many exams and it is 24/7. It will redirect to any available tutor and tutors are really experienced and helpful. I recommend this to my friends and they love the app as well.

There is a weird glitch where I can’t use the keyboard. Please fix this, also I wish there was a setting where you could pause a session and come back to it in case something goes wrong.

Amazing APP!!!. I was a bit skeptical at first because most of these apps have problems with them but as soon as I hopped on the app a tutor was ready to help me with my homework. I was struggling so hard with math before but now I'm on my way to an A! 😀😀😀😀

Its just awesome. This is really helpful especially for me cause I usually don't get any help so I just check the yup teachers for my lectures and am finally got solved. I love this app its very helpful it helps me in solving and understanding many maths question like a teacher

An excellent app.. A lighting-fast aid and tutor for algebraic equations, well designed and carefully considered. The scan mode with automatic recognition is a nice touch. All in all, an excellent app for those who love equations and are either learning or struggling.

Life Saver! 😇. I was struggling in my Pre-Calculus class and I’ve been consistently getting low grades on my homework’s, quizzes, and tests (the teacher did a poor job at explaining). With this app I was able to connect with a tutor that guided me through my work and explained to me how to do it. Awesome app!

Amazing!. Our school started using yup for our middle schoolers and so far we are really impressed! Their tutoring style ensures our students are engaged and learning and the feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive! 5 stars!!!!!

Very easy to use. Wow, I was at first very skeptical of this app, but after receiving much help on my chemistry homework, I need this was the perfect app for me. I have yet to try the math portion of the app, but so from seeing how good the science side was, I have very high expectations.

Better premium app. This app is really great with equation solving and helping in Short notice. I love the good teachers coz they helped me solve my math problems and now am topping from nowhere. I recommend the app to every student whose forcused on studies. Thanks YUP

GREAT TUTORING APP! 👌🏼. I personally struggle with math and I would feel awkward going to an in-person tutor. This app makes all that awkwardness/embarrassment/inconvenience go away! I love this app! Quality!!. Alright this tutoring app really seems to be one of the good ones 👌👌👌. I had some trouble connecting my account the first time but that turned out to be my fault, not the app's. Great experience once I got it working. Maybe I can actually survive math this year 😭

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!!!. I paid for this for my daughter to use this year. She stopped using this 3 months ago and I have tried to cancel numerous times. I was told I had to fill out a cancellation request and I did...they still charged me! I’ve now paid $400 for a service we haven’t used in 4 months and the support center will not reimburse or stop charging me.

Fantastic. This is the perfect homework helper, my teacher isn't so good at explaining things all the way through. The tutor I received is amazing, all I had to do was snap a picture of my work and instantly got help .

Great for tutoring session!. Wish they will bring back monthly plan to attract more students. Paying upfront $799 is not affordable for middle class family. Tutors are great explaining math step by step. I had a really great experience with customer service. Overall great!

Fast help. This is such a great app. I decided to try out their premium and I was amazed at how fast I was able to get help on my math homework. The tutors knew what they were doing and I am able to finish my math homework easily. This is a great investment for anybody needing help on math or science. 😁

No support. I was using yup every week when suddenly it stopped working. I called, texted, and emailed for help multiple times for a week. No one at yup would help solve the problem. They gave stupid suggestions, like sign in again, turn off your iPad and turn it on again. No one called me and tech support is completely unsupportive. After wasting a week, l thought I could try reinstalling the app. I lost all my data. I am looking for support from local college students now.
