Needs update for iOS 16. Hopefully developer will fix soon. You can no longer double-tap on time to switch from 5 minute intervals to 1 minute intervals. Otherwise, this is one of the most frequently used apps on my phone. Does a great job invoicing and exporting my time sheets. I have been using for a couple years now.

Great so far!. I do small website projects for little businesses and this app is very handy for tracking what I'm doing and generating invoices. I've only used it a bit, but so far I am impressed!

Small Firm. Works very well for my needs. Simple, easy to use. Would like to see more personalization options for billed reports, like font changes and colors. Clients LOVE colors....

Now can't even open. I see there was an update on Feb 25, and now it won't even open. Worried that I'll lose all my prior entries since lay billing. Follow-up... Traded a couple of emails with some "customer service" person. DID NOTHING TO HELP MAKE THIS WORK OR WVEN OPEN. Won't even respond to emails. TRULY A USELESS APP AND I ASSUME A USELESS COMPANY. Latest follow up... With Brian's help, was able to recover all my records and send out a proper invoice. Thanks.

This will help organize my billable hours!. I really like what I see. As a new app this is great. It'll allow me to get rid of those handwritten notes. Just needs export to Dropbox and excel spreadsheets. And it'll be perfect.

Love the clean interface. Looks very clean, but needs some work for iPhone 6 screen sizes.

I remember it being better. I had success with this app at first, but now it disappoints me. I create a new project, punch in... but it seems that if the phone goes to sleep, the time doesn't register. I come back to the app an hour or two later, and nothing's been saved. Time to look for a better app.

It just works, and the price is right!!. Very simple and straight to the point.

Not worth downloading at this time.. No way to leave the app in any specific timeframe but "All"; required two emails on the same subject weeks apart to get a reply. Quick time add is finicky: pull down too far and it goes away. Not far enough and it goes away. No widget for my phone's lock screen or for my watch. This could be a great app if the author would put in the time to make it so.

Quick and easy billing app. Perfect billing app. I use it to bill projects and hours. I love the pdf generated invoices. Saves me a lot of time.

Great little app. Not real sophisticated but does everything I need quick and well. As a graphic designer, this free app lets me log in my hours for my clients and create an invoice that is emailed right to them. Real easy to use. Great job on this app!

Has Potential. Needs to be able to save photos in areas were work is needed, started, or finished

…I wish. I wish it was easier to read on my iPhone 13 pro max I wish it would allow me to change/delete entries. When I make a mistake making an entry it doesn’t recalculate.

Needs allot of improvements. No way to hide or not show paid invoices with out deleting all the information. No way to add so charge hours, sometimes I work on a project & I need the client to see I did it but I might not want to charge them but you can't do it south out adding a new client and then it's not on the same invoice. No way to add different fees for different projects only by clients. Some projects I charge less then others for the same client. Lots of modifications in Adobe pro once I create the invoice so it needs allot of improvements.

Can not calculate overtime. Great design, simple easy. bill specific clients for specific jobs by hours worked or by single item. calculates pay by hours...but no way to input overtime rates. exports invoice to pdf

Good. Could be great.. I've been using this app for many months now, and find it quite satisfactory. However, I've been using it on the iPad (had an older iPhone), and find slight problems in field rendering. Annoying. Now that I have a newer iPhone I find that it would be great to be able to sync across iOS devices via iCloud, and have a native iPad version. Those two things would make this app stellar.

Terrible fiddley tedious. No autocomplete except user shortcuts. No back/next navigation in text fields; you have to select a text field, type fully with no spellcheck; click Done, which does not auto advance so you have to scroll to select the next field. No access to contacts so you have to switch back and forth between apps unless you have every field memorized. Bad rubber band action not only hides text fields at the bottom, but makes them difficult to select; e.g. The notes field in projects is nearly impossible to see let alone click on. Very diddly fiddley, tedious and too time consuming to use. You'd have to bill a new client a minimum of 15 minutes just to add them, and another 30 to enter multiple items and tasks as a contractor. Terrible, even for a first effort.

Great app. It's a great app for tracking hours and sending invoices, but I really don't like the new app icon, the old one was much better.

Simple and functional. I like the simplicity of this app, it works well for what I need it for, keeping track of my time. Generates clean and simple invoices.

Favorite Timecard App. I have trying to find a timecard app for years that I could use. Some were okay & others were way to complicated. This app is simple, attractive, & easy to use. I was easily able to email from the app. I hope this happiness sticks around.

Great app. So easy to use! Just needs to have a record if invoices sent. I think I sent an invoice to a client, but I don't have a record of it anywhere.

Love the app , wish thee was an iPad ver. This is a very simple and quick app to report and invoice my billing hours. One star deducted because I feel it should have an iPad version , sync between devices so that I don't have to enter the same thing again on my phone and a graphic display of hours. Would be a very handy app if these features are added and I look forward to it. Suggestions apart this is still a nice app which I use every day.

Bugs. Easy to use interface. Too many bugs to be useful. Have emailed support numerous times. Keep being told bugs will be addressed in next update. No update in four months. Stopped using over a month ago. Disappointed.

Love it! Can't wait to see where it goes.. I love this app. It works well for tracking time. I would like more control over what I show on the invoice. I want to show the description and a price. I know we're tracing hours, but I don't want to show that info or how much per hr. on the invoice. Give me an option to hide different info.

Good but needs some features. Using on iPad not iPhone so a tad more difficult to use.. Definitely needs a way to share besides stock email, which I do not use so no way to send invoices...or view them for that matter. Without invoice capability app is good but not great for me, also have issue with all projects defaulting to open instead of collapsed, lots of scrolling and searching. All in all good app but could be awesome if iPad option available and other issues addressed.

Ok, has irritating problems with displaying entries. Simple app for keeping track of hours; display needs work as entries are hidden by menu bar and attempting to view them is difficult...almost to point that one wants to use alternate app

I like it. I use this app for my freelance hours. Have tried others but this is the best so far.

Great product. Provides solid functionality in one package for time tracking & invoicing. Biggest drawback for me is the inability to rename projects which is quite frustrating.

Best billing app. I've tried around a dozen different hourly billing/invoice apps and this is the best I've seen yet. It's very easy to use, and unlike other developers for billing apps, this developer is looking forward to adding user requested features. Your money is well spent getting this app

Helpful. I am a personal assistant and this works for me to keep track of my hours for my clients. I do wish it had a place to put mileage besides the notes and it had spell check for when I am in a hurry.

Incredible tool for the price, highly recommend. I started offering IT services as a side biz, and needed a quick simple app to track client hours and projects. I tried a ton, but most were free for only 2 clients, or 30 days, & I just couldn't justify the money. Then I found this app and am totally satisfied. I have multiple clients, projects, rates. Etc, and it works flawlessly every time.

I want to love it but.... There's no way to import fields from contacts. After playing with the app a few minutes I realized that every single client I have goes into my contacts app first. I don't see myself entering clients info into this app before anything else. The app has a lot of potential and it would be my go to app for billing if i could import fields from my contacts app.

Great. This is the best app I've used to keep track of the time spent on each client. It's very easy to use and the email response for support is within hours. I wish it backed up to iCloud, but even without that, you can email yourself a report as often as you want a backup.

Isn’t sending emailing. From what I see there to total or final bill at the bottom of any list. It doesn’t send emails The invoice doesn’t have enough information fields.

Handy & Quick. Love the app. I can quickly record hours and send off invoice ...neatly and with no fuss.

Great App!. This app easily allows my teenage sons to create invoices for their lawn care service. The invoice is very professional looking and a breeze to create. Additionally, app support was quick and effective (within 30 minutes!) when I contacted them about a question. Highly recommend this app!

Hours lost repeatedly. I log hours only to check the next day and they have disappeared. I've clocked in and gone to clock out and the first entry is missing. Also, no way to run reports by certain date ranges that I find. I deleted the app. I can not afford to lose hours that should be billed to clients.

Minimal and doesn’t seem to phone home. Needs to get bigger/designed for a smaller screen. Hay apple!!! Why can some apps scale to screen but this one not?

Good app. Needs a feature to sync apps other than that it is a great app. Also would be nice if they had a feature to show total hours a week worked total not for just one client at a time.

Great little app, a few things missing.... It's a really good app, I just wish it had sync capability and iPad/windows 8 versions...I like how it lets you sub categorize jobs under each client.

So far, so good. I'm sure the other reviews that are good and bad have merit. I find that it is simple and easy to use for my current needs. I rated ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ since it does not support multiple companies as an option, yet. Many contractors have many 'hats' and this would be icing on cake. The multiple clients is easy to use and edit.

Helpful with rooms for improvement. 1. Mathematically: can't calculate fractions, eg, 2/3 hour would render 0.67 hour, which would affect the outcome of the charge in total. 2. Subdivision in categories is needed. For example, a client can be "a company", with multiple individual clientele 3. Weekly or daily repeating entry for easy key-in

I like this app!. I've used others and their ok, this is user friendly. I really like the price & Invoicing. Would love if it would sync with calendar. Otherwise and great app!

Very nice. Been using this for quite a while now to track my part-time hours. It does what I need near perfect. There does need to be a way to turn off the hours that have already been invoiced so that only current projects show. Keep up the good work!!

Simple and effective. Great simple app effective for tracking basic time and item tracking. Would be even better with greater ability to customise reports and invoices.

Almost all the basics. This app looks sleek and professional. It's ex extremely simple to setup and use instantly. Add personal details, add client, record time, email invoice. Only issue is to be able to manually set the invoice number. If this was added it would be a 5 out of 5.

Great billing app for psychologists in private practice. I work in private practice and find this app very helpful in tracking billable (client contact) hours. The only thing I would like changed is the following: 1. To be able to set the app to track billable time by the hour (for example, 1 hour, rather than entering the start and end time). 2. To be able to move closed clients to a different area of the app (so current clients are readily available on the client page and invoice page). 3. To allow more options for viewing total billable hours. For example, to view billing for different months, rather than filtering to either all or the current month. 4. To display both total hours billed and total income billed for all clients during a specific billing period or month (rather than total hours/amount billed for each individual client) would also be very helpful. Otherwise this app has been perfect for my purposes and I would highly recommend it.

Lack of support. This app works quite well except for two serious issues. The first and biggest issue it’s that the keyboard covers the text you are typing when you make an entry, so you are typing blind. The second issue is that the filters do not work when you are selecting entries for an invoice, so you have to go through an ever increasing list of entries. If they ever were to address those two issues this would be a five star app.

The keyboard hides the note field completely. It’s possible to type blindly but really hard to correct what’s there

Works great for most things. I have used the app for a number of years, and it does what I need it to do with simplicity. The only thing I would like the app to have is an option to send as a “quote“ instead of the “invoice” header.

Simplicity attractive, easy to use. I love the look and feel of this app for tracking hours. I do casual work, and the option to choose different time increments is great. Also love the filter for paid vs invoices items. For simple bookkeeping, I am very pleased that I can email an auto-created invoice that has room for notes. A suggestion for a future update is to make the iPad and iPhone apps sync up; that would be so handy, and it'd be worth a small fee. I look forward to updates! Thanks for this free app!! Super job!! :) :)

Biller. I love(d) this app until I realize you can't delete a client or project after creating the entry. You can't even modify a project name. I'm still giving it 2 stars because if you don't anticipate to make changes it's fantastic. Otherwise a total waste.

Has potential - needs some obvious features. Hi Just downloaded this and am still familiarizing myself with the app. Already seeing where this won't work for me. Some simple adds would help. I have a major client where i do some work by the hour and some work on a flat rate/unit basis. Further some jobs are billed at different hourly rates. I want to be able to put all of this on one invoice but that does not appear possible with this app. There needs to be much more flexibility about how to enter time and different rates within a client including flat rate jobs. Also the time clock feature may well be useful but I would prefer to enter a specific number of hours rather than track literal time. I might work four hours on a project but this could be spread over 8 or more hours in a day. It is not necessary to track by the second - too much of a nuisance. I also can't see where I tell the app the tax rate I need to apply. I live in canada and need to apply GST or HST depending on where I do the work. As it goes the app does not seem very sensitive to geography. Maybe it is there - I just have not found it yet Please continue to develop this app - it has promise - but I won't likely use it as is

Could be good. Might be good, but needs attention to make it useable. Sorely needs the ability to draw contact information from the iPhone contacts. No one wants to have to enter all that information for every client into this app by hand, especially when all that contact info is already on the phone. Just import from iphone contacts please. Also needs the ability to preview the invoice in the app without having to email or print it. Presently you'd have to email it to yourself, open it there, check it, and then return to the app if it requires any editing. Hopefully updates will add these essential features. As it stands, unfortunately its just not useable (unless perhaps you only need to do one or two single invoices, otherwise just too much work). Thanks for the effort devs. You're on the right track, just needs some tweaks.

Using it for 3 months. I have multiply clients I bill and so far I've found tracking my hours and generating invoices quick and easy. The only issue I have had is that on one client their name was repeated twice when o generated an invoice, that's before the latest update was published so that big may be fixed. All in all great app I would recommend it.

Handy. Efficient way to make and send invoices and keep track of projects. Much faster than trying to do this in a spreadsheet of some kind. Never encountered any bugs with the way I use it.

One of the best Apps in it's class. I have been using Billing Hours for about 2 years. At first all I wanted was something I could press a button to start a timer that I could later stop to time projects. This app handles that beautifully. Eventually I needed a work log. So I started adding notes in the "Note" field. Later I would send a report to myself and Billing hours would attach a PDF and a CSV file (to use for Excel). I would open the CSV file in Excel and surprisingly some very long notes would be intact and not be truncated. So I am guessing you can put a lot of characters in the note field. In my case I just needed to do a little formatting to get them to tidy up on my Excel sheet later when I had the time. Since I just wanted the time spent and what was done this was the perfect work log. I don't use the PDF function but I see others here mentioned they do. I have tested creating an invoice and sending it. The invoice is a 'one-size-fits-all' deal so some people may not like it. However you can edit the information for your company and also add a logo if you like. Pretty slick. It’s basic though. I think it's great to have a method of sending invoices right from your phone. My hope is that Birdsoft will add some way to adjust the column widths and also customize the form a little more as far as resizing columns or removing or truncating the information from the project or description. For example I'd like to remove the times from the invoice but keep the hours. I would also like to move the "Project" column over closer to the date or remove it entirely and as of yet I haven't found a way to do that. However I should add for someone who does different projects like for example an attorney or web developer. They may find this helpful and needed. Someone mentioned that you can't print with Billing Hours but you can. You need a printer that supports AirPrint. Most of the newer printers do. Also if you need more than that, you can always email a copy to yourself or someone else and have them print it. (There’s a button to “Send Report” and you can limit the report to a single client if you need to. However, I think persons complaint is not a big deal. My impression was that the developer made an app that allowed you to create an invoice at a clients location, put in their email address, and the send it to your client. It has done this well since the start. It’s also very use-able if you are on a budget and don’t have a computer and only use it on your phone or iPad. You can adjust pay cycles (weekly, monthly, etc) track open, invoiced, and paid invoices, Timed items, and Billable items. It’s got everything you need to run a business unless you need to create complicated invoices. For the startup Freelancer, you can have an accounting that gets the job done and looks very professional. I have had to email the developer several times because I couldn't figure out how to do something. He's very responsive and gets back to me pretty quickly. He's been quick to respond since day one and I originally had the free app. I can also say most people probably would have figured out some of the stuff I couldn't because I wasn't used to the swiping left to delete something. Like for example I had some project names I wanted to delete. To do that you have to go into a clients entry and click on project like you want to add a project. Then in the project name list, drag the project you want to remove to the left which reveals a red Delete button. Easy Along with time entries you can also add itemized expenses for each client. Which I suppose is for clients who re-imburse you for things. In the item window you can add a Name (for the item) the price, whether or not it's a taxable item, and the date. I don't use this module but it's there if anyone needs it. When you create a time entry you click a button which starts a timer. Then when you are done with the task or project you can click the button again to stop the timer and Billing Hours calculates the time based on the hourly rate you set for the client. Once you add items to an invoice they are marked as invoiced and once an invoice is paid you can mark it paid. I do have one minor issue. I like to clear out old invoices and to do that you have to delete the individual entries. However for most people this probably wouldn’t be an issue because they may want their full billing history. I would say if the developer would add some editing features to the app I would likely just use it. I have always used a spreadsheet because I take the spreadsheets and have a script that imports them into Filemaker Pro. I would love to see an “Export To Filemaker” option but I am not complaining at all. Due to the nature of the work I do and my type of clients, I need a larger “Description” field where I can enter extensive work logs which contain many line items. So this works for me as far as being able to write short notes to remind me until I sit down to do a full worklog. I haven’t tried it but I would guess if you are technically savvy you could probably find a way to import the CSV file into QuickBooks. I think Billing Hours will get the job done for most people without a lot of unnecessary bloat. I say give it a try.

Hmmm. App crashes every time I try to import info from Contacts. Press "import" button and end up on my home phone screen. Not so impressed. Afraid it will lose my info.
