So much fun!. Really simple and lots of fun to play with. Didn't have to sit in the same crummy spot on the beach for an hour before figuring out I should move. Sorry, I'm not much for reviews, but I wanted to let people know this is cool.

Trash. This is my second ibobber, I returned the first one, and they both disconnect often and the screen doesn’t update often. The bobber is literally 1’ from me beside the kayak and it doesn’t update and disconnects. Stay far away

Great but doesn’t always sync. It’s worked before but now it just will never sync.We now have 2 but both will not sync and we’ve followed the instructions but still doesn’t work

Great app, great device. Great interface, simple to use. Does what it's supposed to do. Could use a trouble section, maybe a pdf of the manual.

Don’t buy. I bought this ibobber and finally got to use it now that it warmed up. My ibobber won’t connect to my phone thought it was my phone so my fishing buddies tried their phones (android) but it wouldn’t connect or if it did only for a second than disconnected. I did get it to connect 1 time but not even 25ft it said it couldn’t read. Don’t waste your money.

Works great. Free app works great with the purchased iBobber. Easy setup.

Works as advertised!. Great battery, love the sonar view. Mapped my pond and made a big difference in where I fish.

Only ok. Gives depth and fish locations, but it does not give an audible “ping” when a fish is located like it’s supposed to. That makes it difficult to use when you are in a kayak and trying to focus on speed and direction and cannot stare at your phone all the time.

Great fish finder. I really enjoy the simplicity of this fish finder and it’s “user friendly” features...

Connection and charging time. Won't connect to my iPhone and I charged for 6-8hours

Latest update mandatory. I previously gave a pretty bad review of the app. I amended it to an ok review of the app when real sonar contacted me and replaced my iBobber and things worked again. The latest app appears to have resolved all the issues I had with the first iBobber and now have two of them! Way to go real sonar! Awesome product. Awesome app. Awesome company to deal with when things go awry. A+++ would recommend. Good job guys!

May need update. My iBobber worked okay the first time I used it, but the second time out it marked a fish at 3ft and at the bottom of the lake simultaneously. I thought okay there are fish but no luck. Went out again same markers and I thought okay that’s weird and again no luck. Went out a few more times and notice again. Just tried it yesterday and the same thing. I’ll revise my review once this is corrected.

Great product!. This product is amazing and all fishing lovers should have it! It's an affordable solar bobber that anyone can use!!!

Works but requires a profile. Ok seriously, it's not too bad although it does run down your phone battery. My biggest complaint is that the app requires you to create a profile. So if you wait until you are out on the lake in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception then it's worthless. How about a "maybe next time option" or "skip this step". I know the whole reason for the profile is about data mining but seriously! There are other products like this now that don't require a profile so how about?

Not good. It only works like 10 feet away from you absolute trash DONT BUY

Disconnects. Constantly disconnects. Not a huge issue as it does come back on. Unfortunately, the fish setting (beeps upon finding a fish) does not come back on. So one has to constantly keep turning the settings back on as it disconnects every 20 seconds.

Got me my first flathead catfish. Found a nice hole with a fish at the bottom. Casted right in there and got him! Apple watch also nice feature. Suggested improvements: If I loose connection and reconnect it's a bit tricky to turn the bobber light back on. Otherwise keep it up!!

Very useful... From the bank you can find the holes and fish too. From the boat you can float it behind you right over your bait. I have a small boat. This was just what I needed.

Bobber registry. I haven't used the bobber yet but when I do I will write another review but so far I would like to see more fish added like walleye and crappie witch are both fresh water and walleye is one of the most popular eating fish so I was surprised not to see it on there

A Must Have!. The iBobber is awesome! The app is beautiful and very easy to use. From the shore, kayak or my boat it works great. I'm able to quickly determine the layout, structure and potential of any area on a lake. A surprise bonus my kids really enjoy being in charge of finding fish. One casts and the other man's the app.

My first bobber. Great hardware and software on iOS. I have compared the bobber result with other pro sonar detection and find ibobber is working perfectly accurate, it assist me really during my jigging, Thanks for your innovative product.

Ibobber. I used the I bobber for the first time the other day. We were out in the boat because I wanted to compare the soundings on my Lowrance HDS system to the ibobber. To my amazement the ibobber gave dept readings within a foot of my Lowrance. I never got deeper than 45 feet but I got the impression it was capable of going deeper. It was late in the day and the wind was picking up so we weren't able to play around with it very long, but the time that we did it was a lot of fun! My daughter kept grabbing my iPhone to play around with it! One other feature i wAs able to compare was the water temp readings, it took a minute or two to get a stable number but once it did it matched the Lowrance. I'm looking forward to getting some more time to use it and i will post my findings.

Good, but could be great.. It would be great if: the depth reader started at 1 ft, there was a different color for s/m/l fish, and if it didn’t pull so much phone battery.

must have fishfinder app. Easy to use app with all the bells and whistles to help you spot good fishing grounds, so you don't waist time. Cool graphics...love the ad-ons!

Bummer…. I really wanted to like this but it periodically asks you to enter the purchase date every 40 seconds. After clicking “do not ask again” it begins to ask every 20 seconds. After about the 20th time entering my purchase date, i promptly disconnected from the ibobber and began to enjoy my fishing trip. The hardware seems decent, but the software makes this virtually unusable.

It does its job. The iBobber does its job. I’ve found interesting features around my local fishing spot. The mapping feature works really well but the connection is often weak when using the sonar function. I suppose I don’t bring it back quick like when mapping. I still go 4 stars because I can see more from the shore now and move from bad spots and find better ones with cover. I does the job. 1 suggestion for the fish alarm is “1 ping only please” until a new fish comes on the screen. If you get my 1 ping reference I’ll go 5 stars.

Display issues iPhone X?. This app doesn’t completely fill the screen. I see the half icons at the top and now I see where you can tap and drag them down but it looks off. I don’t know what else to say. The app appears to need some polish. I’ll come back after I’ve learned the app and used the ibobber a few times to change my rating if it needed. I’m excited to try it out. I bought the pulse version. Hope it was worth the extra.

Not for iphone4s. After spending the money on this device, it's not compatible with my iPhone 4s. Iphone4s is not Bluetooth le ready

Great tool, highly recommend. Loved the idea when first came across. With sub $100 price and good ratings of the seller, ordered right away. Had a quick question re operating. Customer Service was very helpful. No issues, works well. Accurate and has extra features. Love it. Ordered one for my brother as a gift before the word get out and price goes up.

Not good. This device will only connect inside your house once you step out of your house then it will just buffer over and over and over for a long time. And I’ve tried and tried and tried to make it work with this product is just a useless bobber

Awesome!. Can't say enough how impressed I am with this app as well as the iBobber! Everything about the app and bobber has worked very smoothly. I find that it is very accurate when compared to my other fish finder/sonars, but offers me much more convenience in portability, storage, and more features as well. I definitely recommend this app to other users.

App missing features cited in manual. Manual shows photos of the Settings screen that do NOT match the iPhone app’s Settings screen. There is no “Personal” area - so no way to mark my fav fish. There is no “Bluetooth Sync” area - no way to follow instruction manual to sync.

Doesn't work. Firmware won't update and ibobber won't connect

Easy to use. I fish from a fishing well which is basically a house out in the middle of the lake so my iBobber is never more than 25 feet from my iPhone. The connection has always been good and I have been very pleased with its performance. Battery life appears to be greater than the ten hours advertised on the box. However the iPhone blue tooth connection uses up lots of phone battery so I suggest having a way to charge your phone on extended trips. The iBobber ease of use is an important feature which allows me to fish without a lot of setup. I have a Garmin Striker 4 which really isn’t designed to be portable and requires a lot of setup whenever I go fishing. Fishing from a stationary location I have not had the need to test the mapping feature. Overall I recommend the iBobber

Could not register. Well I really wanted to like this product but since purchasing as a Christmas gift, we can’t even register for an account to use the darn thing! We get a “Could Not Register. Server problem. Try again in a few minutes.” Well it’s been MANY attempts through the MANY minutes since Christmas. We have tried deleting the app to re download it. Tried on an android and apple phone, and still get the same message. I guess I just bought an expensive paper weight!

Value finally meets reliability. By far the best portable fish finder on the market. At under $100 it has 95% of the features the higher priced models have without costing 2.5x more like they do. Easy to use for all tech levels. My gramma can use it with my 6 year old. Must buy gadget for 2017!

Good for finding depth. I'm not happy with the fact that it doesn't show grass very well. I fish some spots that are really grassy just below the surface. It does not show up on my screen at all. It also confuses sticks for fish from what I have experienced. I got this as a Christmas gift. I wouldn't have spent my own money for it.

Great fishing tool. Really enjoying the user experience so far. iBobber is easy to use. Pretty accurate depth measurement both at shallow and all the way to 100ft. Lots of cool additional features like LED light made evening fishing really fun. Overall great addition to my fishing arsenal.

Fish Color for different size. I like the ibobber but it would be good to have three colors for fish sizes. Where I fish I never spotted a green fish, all are orange which could be anything from 15 inch down to little 2 inch fish. That's quite useless information for me. But the product works very well and I find it easy to use. Please make three categories of fish: small, medium, large

This product is complete trash. I put it in a glass of water and it said there were fish like what the heck

Was really fun!. Got this as gift for last Father’s Day. Now that I’m about to use it tomorrow it will not let me update the app. I even went as far as deleting the app to get the new version. And it didn’t work so I’m stuck on the version before the 2.0!

Ver 1.7 & Firmware 1.1. Prior to this 3/7/16 release, this was a great product. Now having long screen update delays and requests to update to Firmware 1.1 after having done it once. The subsequent firmware update attempts just hang after the download even after deleting the 1.7 software and reinstalling it.

Annoying. Tries to sell you Netfish everytime you start the app and insists you enter your purchase date when you are trying to use the equipment. VERY annoying!

Don’t use for ice fishing. I put the ibobber in my hole hoping it would work, but it is so off it’s not even funny. I was at 5 feet and I could see the bottom and it said 12 feet. It also said there was fish going under me and I look down and there’s nothing, so I drop my vexlar in and bam no fish! this is horrible for ice fishing, but maybe it’s good for open water but I’ll never know because it’s getting returned!

Absolutely horrible.... This product is quite frankly garbage... I can be in 1 foot of water and it will tell me 5, or I can be in at least 20 and it still says 5... not to mention it can't go 5 seconds without saying"Bobber is out of water" or "weak sonar signal"... wast of 95 bucks... it's worth maybe 10.

Well. Well I haven't actually tried the ibobber yet but I've heard it's great. I have one request and there's not many reviews so I hope you read this! So it says in the book that if you leave it on the charger too long after its fully charged it will drain the overall battery. I would like an alert that comes on your phone when it's done charging because I'm not going to sit there and watch it charge. You know what I mean? So just so I don't do that it would be helpful for an alert on your phone when it's done charging to take it off the charger! Thank you! Great creation!

Completely fake. I have a pond at my house so I used it to setup there are no fish I know the depth and what the bottom looks like it it’s crystal clear and no rocks or plants or deep holes. So when I set it up it’s about 4-6 ft off when it reads depth I was also suprised to find out I have multiple ghost fish in my pond!! it says there are multiple fish under 15 in and 1 over 15 in it and I can clearly see no fish! It says I have 2 big ledges that go up 4ft but it’s a flat bottom it just makes up stuff and people that have no idea whats in the water at a lake or river with low visibility probably believe what they are seeing. That’s not cool! It’s completely wrong! Don’t buy it save some $ get a better setup!

Great value. Used it long side a friends unit, when the bobber said there was fish, we caught fish. Even when the typical unit wasn't registering any. Very accurate for depth, never used the mapping but It seems to know the bottom. Phone battery drained quickly, but used bobber for 4 hours and was still over 3 quarters.

Ibobber. It is crap used it once , now it will not charged , or work , emailed reel sonar got no help

Great for the price. This is a handy portable and convenient unit that works surprisingly well. Tried alongside a dedicated unit and had similar results with a more user friendly output. Highly recommend

The app crashes all the time. The bobber itself is fine but app crashes and will not stop asking for date of purchase this needs to be fixed

Compatibility just reduced. I bought the iBobber in Dec and used in until it stopped supporting my phone. Now nothing, will not work. Waste of money with planned obsolescence, do not recommend until they provide backward support.

Buggy. Needs work. When it works in it great but to often it fails and it can be frustrating wasting time trying to get it to work. The Apple Watch app is a joke as you need the phone to work as well needs work to help with connection issues to remove the frustration. More specific error messages would help

Great product but no customization. I would like to update information about my catches in my trip log but I cannot change date, time, weight, length and location. These should all be editable and not locked. Some types of fish are missing like sager, goldeye and a couple types of northern trout. There should be a line to write the type of fish caught if it isn’t present in the list.

Pretty good so far. I recently bought the iBobber off of Amazon for about 130.00 with one day shopping price. Haven’t used it yet but from trying it out and now seeing it has a new flasher update for ice fishing is very good and super cool. It’s comparable to the deeper for the ice fishing flasher and it at such a lower cost. I will have to try it during open water fishing season but for ice fishing I personally it looks great

iPhone X display and fish alarm. As others have said the iPhone X display does not show correctly at the top of the screen. In addition to that the worst part is the fish alarm won’t stay on for more than a 10 seconds and I believe it’s from loosing the Bluetooth link. Can’t update firmware from iOS I had to grab an old android to update. On a positive note I have caught fish with it.
