Finally. Mammoth has finally succeeded in making the bear app function like their own mountain app. The team in big bear is updating the content daily---today I got a notification for road closure on the 330. Very pertinent info. No bs. Great download.

Sufficient app for rudimentary tracking and map. They just updated the app to a summer mode so now I’ll need to wait at least a half year before I can come back and look at my winter stats that I’ve logged through their app

Big Bear. Very disorganized parking arrangement. I had prepaid $20 for parking and had to drive more than 1 hour in traffic around the resort to park at Fire station parking lot that didn’t even require any fees. This was a very disappointing experience.

Great App!. Provides up to date information in everything you need to know about Big Bear including events, weather forecasts, and road reports, plus more!

Web Cams. They changed up the live cameras this year on the new app (it’s no longer on presets, so people control it randomly, image size reduced, etc) & now can’t really see the conditions

Thanks, Bear Mtn!. Helpful app for days (and nights) on the mountain! I like that it lists the open trails and lifts, and also includes weather reports and road conditions.

Major Feature Missing. The app needs the ability to display the tracked runs on the map, not just give us a list of names. If you’re not super familiar with the resort, just tracking the names are not as helpful as seeing the tracks of the runs you made on the map, like some other apps do. Also, the interactive map isn’t accurate. Today a couple of runs were closed, but the app said they were open. This can actually be dangerous for beginners relying on the app to figure out where to go.

Latest update. The last update that was supposed to update the trail map actually removed two of the primary runs from the open or closed list??? Summit run and miracle mile both missing.

Needs regular ipdating. I like the app it looks nice and nice to have but it’s ridiculous that the weather and lift info is so often not updated for conditions, weather, lift info. A lot of other resorts even let you know if a lift is expected for the day. Please update regularly it’s not that difficult. Why even have these features if they’re neglected?

Terrible app unfortunately. It’s a terrible user experience. Would not recommend.

Checking Out the Kingdom. Look at the webcams almost everyday!

Lost Map Tracking. Good all around but they removed one of the best tracking features for no good reason! The tracking used to show a heat map of your runs so you could see your top speeds and average speed more accurately. Bring it back please!

Do you want an amazing mountain with an app?. Well look no further, this is my first year getting a season pass to this mountain! Wow, I'm so impressed with how well put together this app is, can you use a super simple app? Do you want to have the lift & trail maps at your finders click away? Do you ever want to know where your friends are at the resort? Do you ever want to track your speed, How many runs, & how long you rode for? Do you want to know the forecast, alerts, & upcoming events? Yea? Well look no further they have it all! With there amazing park, & all around perfect so cal mountain, you literally get it all at big bear with this app!

Tracker needs work. GPS tracking turns off when I turn the screen off despite my permission for the app to have GPS on all the time. I have to waste extra battery to get my runs tracked.

Pass holder. There are issues logging in to view your season pass.

Horrible experience. Took my two boys to Big Bear for the first time. Planned a 3 day trip just so we can go tubing at the resort and bought tickets in advance for a 2 year old and 5 year old. When we got there they said we (mom and dad) needed tickets to go tubing w our kids despite what the website stated, which was that young children had to be in tube w an adult. We were happy to buy tickets for ourselves, but the employee said their slot was full and we were unable to buy tickets. We were very sad and disappointed by the experience. Worst experience ever to leave with your children crying because they couldn’t go tubing. Never visiting this place ever again!

Terrible UX. This app is terrible. Worst User Experience of any app that I have ever used. Too many clicks and menus are miss leading.

Pick up boxes. Pick up boxes for lift tickets are impossible to find! Installed you app, calling you on the phone. Don’t know what else to do! What an awful experience! 😫

Awesome but a little slow. Some pictures freeze up BUT OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE IT! Its so helpful and u can call patrol whenever u need! The pictures are pretty clear and maps are super helpful too! Love this!!

Interface update. Had all the information as the normal site - but not friendly with phone screens.

Stop pushing ads to my devices. Can’t turn off the pushing of marketing ads to my phone and watch.

Operating hours missing. It would be useful if the app would show basic information such as operating hours. I never remember if the lifts start running at 9 or 10am.

Cameras Now Crap. This new not so genius idea of a micro small camera view so people can move the camera is stupid. You cannot easily view the mountain as before. Not sure why all ski resorts are doing this now. This was so helpful to see an actual full screen experience and not a thumbnail size.

Best app for MTB trails. Works well even in no cell service area with gps always telling me where I am on the trails.

Needs love. Questions I have: * why can’t we login with our big bear account? Facebook has nothing to do with it. * why are the cameras always showing last nights pictures and not a feed? * why is there a link for pass holders that goes to a page about buying a pass? * why is the parking page not showing us where the lots are and if parking is open? * why can’t we make reservations directly in the app? Basically this is a curated subsection of the main website; the one interesting feature for tracking looks cool, but doesn’t make up for the rest basically being a slower version of the main site. Hope this is just a foundation for them to build on and deliver a more useful app experience for their customers. With covid in full swing, having an app that is leveraged to reduce human interaction will be critical to helping reduce the impact of being open during the pandemic.

Awesome App. I like the concept of the app, but I wish it didn’t cancel music that’s playing before the app launches. Great app tho!

Worst resort app. This is by far the worst ski resort app. It used to be fairly decent a few years ago. But it was redone and now nothing works correctly.

Great app but needs a few fixes. All of the features are ideal, but needs a few fixes to be solid. 1. I though that after checking in that it would automatically track my runs, so went half of my day without any stats. Since it's tracking my location on the mountain, I wish it would automatically start as I got off of the lift (could be done by starting once the rapid elevation gain stops). Having to take my glove off every time I start a run sucked. 2. The chair lifts are not labeled on the map?? 3. Needs a ton more challenges, like being able to select what run you're going to do and then having time trials down that route. Check games like SSX 3 for challenge ideas. 4. Another cool feature would be for users to be able to host races at the tops of runs, so that a certain amount of people could join who were also there and race or challenge each other to different things. 5. A couple of times the map froze and freaked out on me. Had to close a reopen the app. I'll update my review as time passes :) Great app overall.

Distance & Speed Tracking 👌🏽. Love being able to see how fast and far I’ve gone after a long day on the hill

Fine map, Not tracking. Didn’t track lifts, didn’t track runs, didn’t track speed but the gps worked fine as a map

Worse than before. Please bring back the animated play back of tracking. Web cam screen only works in portrait view which makes the picture very small. In older version we were able to view in landscape mode..currently the website provides quicker access to info. Only thing positive about app is now it forward Heath data to Apple fitness app.

Easy to use!. This app is so easy to use. Anybody can download and immediately start using all the great features. I recommend using the Trail map to find your friends who are at the mountain. Uses precise GPS location to show Facebook friends where you are. 5 stars!

Solid App. Solid app.... has most of the bells and whistles any social, tracking, informative app should have at the touch of your fingers. Wish list for app: - commingle with Garmin watches (fenix models) and Strava for all the sporty peeps. - club feature, similar to coffee point system type rewards.

Latest version - battery killer. Had to delete this after noticing it was using 49% of my battery, 12.8 hrs in 24hrs according to the battery usage in settings over 2 separate days when I'm not even at the resort. Please fix this soon so I can use for next season.

get it!. Great App!! has everything you need to know about the bear plus it has aa tracker which is my fav feature. its a really interactive app. it even allows you to call ski patrol with one push of an icon. enjoi!

Terrific App - Get it!. This is a simple to use and very complete app. We have a vacation home in big bear, and this is most helpful for us – and for our renters-whether skiers or not. We love getting the weather road conditions updates automatically.

Rooster’s Review. Snow Summit : Excellent Customer Service (numerous Hosts), Ski Patrol & Mountain Safety. As with The Women, Dan & Gert (sp ?) and all the “Lifty’s”, Mike H. & all with Snow Making & Lift Maintenance. I’ve ski’d from Canada to Colorado since 1966, and for a So Cal Ski Resort, this is the destination. Oh ... the Grooming. Just Watch Rooster Fly ! All the Best !!!

App is fine, but please allow disabling of advertisement notifs in app. The app itself is a fairly functional generic resort app, no major gripes there. However the spam notifications about Big Bear resort offerings have forced me to disable notifications for the app altogether. I would love to be able to enable only critical notifications within the app.

Buggy and barely functional. This app is just a wrapper on the web site, only site designers didn’t plan for it to be wrapped. Accept cookies buttons obscured. Does not remember reservations. Does not support apple pay. Cart cuts off item definitions at 3 items. Overall, complete garbage. Just use the web site.

Great!!!. This app is really great! Having a map, forecast, tracking, etc. ability in the palm of your hand is very convenient. An especially nice addition is the “emergency” button.

Great app for mountain info. Love this app anytime I need information on the mountain or events going on. I hop on here.

Beats a recorded phone message. Most will not remember the dark ages when we had to call a phone number to get recorded ski conditions and the information was sparse if you got through at all. Any complaints about this App are first world problems. Glad I lived long enough the see it.

Weather feature needs work. The previous version of the app provided a detailed weather forecast. This one says nothing except for snow. No forecast ,no estimates on accumulation.Why would they take something good and replace it with something worse.

Snow riders unite. Boards or sticks, Bear is such a great place to ride . Whether with friends or those mini van ppl, it is always good times.
