Pretty much perfect so far. Just one little thing that would make a huge difference.. If you’re able to, I’d like to be able to pay via my Apple account thing. It might be possible if you can open up payment via the app, which would be another pretty good quality of life feature. Other than that, I really like this app because it lets me support artists.

Bandcamp has a poorly designed user interface.. Bandcamp is awesome, but the mobile and tablet apps are horrible with a poorly designed user interface. Accessing my collection is not intuitive or easy. If I buy music I want to easily access the music I own and scroll through it by artist, by album, and by song. Right now I have to search for something, click my collection and I can only scroll through something related to the search. I want to be able to scroll through my entire collection. I want to purchase music and merch from the bands I love and the bands that I am discovering, this is why I love Bandcamp. So why not design an app that can enhance this platform and enhance my enjoyment of these artists? This app needs easy scrolling and searching of each person’s collection. One should be able to scroll through artists, albums, and songs. On should also be able to scroll through the order in which the music was purchased. One should also be able to scroll through the order in which the music was released by the artists. And why do some artists have multiple pages? There needs to be well ordered discographies. When I discover a band I want to see everything that they have released. Bandcamp: awesome for the bands, but it just needs to be a little bit better for the fans.

Can’t purchase within the app 👎🏾. I love the premise of this app. Giving independent musicians a platform to sell and promote their music is amazing. What’s even better is for every first Friday of every month, they give 100% revenue to the artists! The big issue I have with this app is that you can’t purchase music within the app. It’s ridiculous. Imagine not being able to purchase music on the iTunes app, but just being able to see what’s available, then having to open your internet browser and go to the iTunes website to purchase the music...? Imagine how much money they’d lose doing that. I would personally purchase so much more music on bandcamp if I could buy it within the app

Nice but repeat goes off. Needs ability to dj/ put in daw. I need to dj my tracks from this app thank you. But more then this, there is no support for horizontal viewing, would love to make playlists, would love for repeat all tracks to be standard setting, would love to see Siri Shortcuts. Digital is the future of buying physical things. I’d love to see uploads in artist app. Thank u for adding download option in this app recently. It’d be cool to play artist videos in this app. Everyone that listen w this and makes music is also a dj, so the ability to mix tracks would be exceptional, and to be able to add to other app instruments like AUM or Audiobus. This would greatly increase functionality and popularity.

Great app, too small for iPad. This app is worth 5 stars all day. If you’re trying to manage a band or artist, make sure you download the other app made for that. The display is obviously sized for phones, so it gets scaled up on the iPad. All that means is you get black bars on either side of the display, and the keypad is strangely big. But it’s really not an issue, some people just might be put off by it. If you want to listen to your Bandcamp collection, get this app! It makes it so easy. A+

The Way Forward For Digital Music. Bandcamp is the only digital streaming and purchasing platform I like. The only flaw is that if you want to purchase an album or track on this app, the digital option is not available. This means going to the website and doing it there, which no doubt cuts into many artist sales. Other than that, it’s really, really good. More mainstream artists should release here exclusively.

Queue system imperfect, otherwise great. Queuing is great, but the implementation is weird. Add to queue should *add* to now playing, regardless of whether what is playing was added through the queue system. If you play a track or album without enqueuing things and then *add* to it later, the current queue gets wiped and it starts playing the added tracks. Weird decision there. That’s honestly the biggest issue, so pretty easy 4 stars, but it could be better.

Amazing... but one minor thing. Frankly Bandcamp has changed my life in a non cliche way. It has allowed me to find music I enjoy and has allowed me to find my tastes outside of the mainstream. It’s also allowed me to appreciate older technologies and has given me huge admiration for the artists that make music on Bandcamp. The UI on my laptop is amazing and I love using it. But on the phone it’s a bit of a problem for me. Personally I wish there was a way to organize all of my music on my phone similar to how it can be organized on the computer. Because while it is only minor, scrolling through all of the music I have can be rather tedious and the filter options provided only do so much. But other than that small issue that is really minor, I love Bandcamp and can’t wait to see what other music I find.

Needs “Open in App” option. I know nothing about developing, but when I click on a reddit link in any app such as Safari or instagram, the option to “open in reddit app” appears. I click lots of bandcamp links on instagram and this would save the hassle of switching apps and having to hunt down whatever artist or label you are looking for so you can add it to your wishlist or purchase.

Love (with suggestions to help). Bandcamp is a phenomenal source of music. I say this both as an avid listener and creator, the app is phenomenal and my only suggestion for improvement is by adding a digital purchase button right after you add it too your wish list. So many times I have thought to myself “I want to support this artist” but have to come back to the album 3 times before you prompt me with the “💔”. Give us the chose to directly support the artists we love on the spot, not via third party internet browsers or desktops. Nothing but love for the curators, community, and especially the musicians.

Inconsistent and not-so-user-friendly. When I signed up I had a specific band in mind that I was going to subscribe to. It took me actually going to the bands website to find the link to pay for my subscription. I added my cc info on the app and then had to re-enter it when signing up thru the bands website, which raises the question: Why does the app need my cc info? And why not have the subscription link on the bands page with the “follow” button? It seems to me that this would actually deter subscribers without an easier access to the service. I have seen and am very familiar with a friends account to reference my next two claims: the catalog listing is ridiculously inconsistent. The shows that are in my current catalog are in completely different order than my friends, leaving me searching for a needle in a haystack searching for the newest additions. It also looks like they are some missing. So where are they? The particular band that I subscribe to has 22 years of soundboards and they have been uploading one (sometimes two at a time) every few days since the pandemic started. That’s almost a year of older soundboards being uploaded- all from different time periods- every few days. Now, it’s all a mess. Even recent soundboards from 2019 of multiple-night runs are out of order and not placed together. It’s like someone just threw them all in a bag, shook it up, dumped it out and walked away.

Doesn’t support playlists. As much as I love Bandcamp as a service, I must note that the app is quite underwhelming. Purchased a large collection of music? Listen to it only by release - no playlists, no genre grouping, no track ratings and “party shuffle” by high rated tracks, no nothing. As a music player this app is SEVERELY limited, and UI is not convenient at all for navigating large music collection (for example, sorting alphabetically doesn’t allow then to skip to particular letter, the only view mode for your collection is “cover” mode with 3 releases in a row - no “list” mode etc). Bandcamp, please fix this!

Too many missing features. Don’t get me wrong, I love bandcamp, I’m listening to it rn while I’m writing this review, however some of the missing features are incredibly annoying. Firstly the app doesn’t let you buy digital albums, currently my computer is broken and the app is all I have and I can’t even buy digital albums. Discovering music is also a lot less accessible. For example the “surprise me” filter isn’t on this app and I can’t even see the recently released albums. Overall I fond the missing features to ditract from the over all experience and I’m confused why we can’t even have a surprise me option

Deleted my account without notice. While the BC community is full of wonderful music by talented independent artists, I cannot recommend a service that has acted in such a blatantly unprofessional manner. I attempted logging in one day to find that my account no longer existed. No email notice. No explanation. It was just deleted with no record of it ever existing. Hundreds of purchased albums representing thousands of dollars, gone. Pre-orders I have paid for, no access. I attempted emailing customer service numerous times and never got so much as a “we have received your message” in return. Just total silence. Support your favorite artists in some other way, this platform will steal your hard earned money and then ignore you.

Fresh Music For Everyone. This is the first app I’ve cared to review ever. For those of you looking for new music from underground, independent, or popular, whether your taste is hip-hop, rock, or electronic, this is the app for you. To me it’s great because there’s such an enormous and fresh selection, and it for the most part is free! Best selling artists are constantly changing, there’s always someone new to listen to. The only reason I give four stars, is because I’d like to see more promotion of the lesser selling independent artists, which is hard to find. Also because, I add a lot of music to my wishlist on here, and it gets significantly harder to find. I just hope they end up organising that. It is an amazing music app otherwise, highly recommended. Good job guys!

Way too restrictive. There are tons of places to listen to music online. I am here specifically because I like being able to support the artists directly. But the constant spamming of “please open your wallet” and blocking me from listening to a track more than twice has got to stop. It does NOT make me more likely to buy the album. It makes me more likely to switch to some other service (and thereby stop supporting artists at all). Stop going out of your way to make my experience miserable, and I’ll stick around, and gladly pay for the music I love (AFTER I know that I love it, not when I’ve hardly even heard it yet).

Needs some changes. Though I love the gems I find on there, I wish tracks would be compiled in one big library so I wouldn’t have to leave the app I’m using to select a song from a different artist. Even multiple tracks from one album are scattered if paid for separately. Another inconvenience is that you have to be redirected to the album’s webpage to make a purchase AND you’re unable to scrub along the timeline of a track unless you’re in the app. One request- pleeease give us a dark mode I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like that.

Great app for underground music. You can find a ton of great music. But I think the user interface can be updated a tad bc the current format if you have a lot of music in ur wishlist or purchases it takes awhile to scroll through. Also dark theme would be appreciated. Should also add a search feature for the artists that you follow so you don’t have to scroll to find a particular artist page. Also the app doesn’t allow you to scroll through all the artists you follow, I can only do that on the website.

Bad User Experience. I want to state up front that I think Bandcamp as a service is fantastic. Being able to support creatives is a good thing. That being said, the app itself is trash. I’ve had nothing but problems with it since I downloaded several years ago and nothing has ever gotten fixed. I have constant issues with tracks restarting when play is pressed from anywhere that isn’t inside the player in the app, and sometimes when I’m listening to commentaries that are several hours long, I have to take the time to find the exact point I’m at, almost every time. Outside of that, however, the app is just outdated and has a pretty poor UI. There’s no in app way to switch which device I’m listening on, like there is in most other audio apps, and there really hasn’t been a major or update UI update in the years I’ve had it. People who are willing to support this service and the creatives who use it deserve better.

Great app For Supporting Artists. Pretty sweet deal. I can buy piles of music from Bandcamp and support the artists I like, plus access an abundance of music wherever I am without having to trade out Mp3s off of my iPhone 8 because of space issues. I can also listen to songs off my wish list as well, at the artist's discretion which is very cool. The ability to be able to search all of Bandcamp for artists, songs and add to the wish list from the app is awesome and very convenient. Love the fact I can access my wish list now and be able to stream whatever songs I like instead of being limited to a featured track. Beyond the fact one cannot purchase from the app, I would say it does everything now I would normally have to do from the website. My only two big complaints are now it is mixing my suggested artists releases with the people I follow so I may have to ditch them because I don’t have all day searching for my artists. Also, isn’t it time for a real iPad app?? Other than those issues I like now getting messages from the artists about new releases or whatever.

Good, Could Be Better. Love Bandcamp! However, the app has a few minor flaws that I would like to see fixed/updated in the next release. The first issue is that sometimes songs won’t play. You open an album, touch the first song or play button, the song title flashes bold, unbolds, the next song bolds, and nothing plays. Sometimes by repeatedly tapping the song I can get it to play, but more often than not, I have to force close the app to get it working correctly. The second is that hiding albums does not remove them from your collection to a hidden sub-group like on the website. This is very annoying as I have purchased entire catalogues from some labels and invariably a lot of titles are junk. I don't want to see them and I don't want to sift through them every time I use the app. Please fix this. Otherwise, great app and outstanding service!

App for a Great Service. As a website and as a music distribution service, I love Bandcamp. Some of my best music finds were on Bandcamp and I even use it to distribute my own music. If you want to access this service from a mobile device, download this app. However, I do deduct a star for the lack of dark mode. I often use my phone late at night, and the lack of a dark mode makes Bandcamp on mobile a slightly less pleasant experience. Really, this is my only complaint.

Buggiest it’s even been since Epic bought it. Ever since Epic games bought this company, the mobile app department just seems inclined on releasing updates that remove all quality of life from this app. There’s no way for you to repeat a single track unless you specifically put it on queue and tap the repeat button. This is the most unintuitive way of playing music from this app you may as well just download VLC and put the music in your phone via your computer. Downloading the music to be played offline and putting a track in queue is bugged. It straight up does not work. The way older updates for this app was MILES better than whatever the heck this mess is

Serving my current needs for the most part. The app itself should honestly be getting 5 stars from me, however, my main reason for even consistently using the app right now is ‘cause I’m stuck with an old iPhone (🤮) since my S21 broke and I can’t access my library of 11k songs, so in the meantime I’m stuck with what I can listen to via my Bandcamp purchases. The reason I give it 4 stars is because I can’t simply play all music from my collection on shuffle and can only play albums or singles individually

Great app, but.... If it weren’t a Bandcamp app I’d give it a lower score. I love Bandcamp and have used the app as a method to access the music for a long time. However I have recently been experiencing strange audio glitches, regardless of if I am on data or wifi. These glitches include random skipping of audio like a scratched cd as well as the audio seemingly going out of sync with itself, and only when the screen is turned off. Once I turn on the screen the problem fixes itself, until the next time I turn off the screen. Otherwise the app is very easy to use, and a fantastic way to find new artists. Rarely do I go looking around on the Bandcamp app and not find something to put on my wishlist. That said, please fix these problems in the next update!

Great, but crashes. I’ve been meaning to download this for many reasons, but never got the chance until recently. Bandcamp is fantastic in how you can directly support musicians and find music you can’t find elsewhere, but the app has a few problems that are hard for me to overlook: In particular, crashing issues. I prefer listening to my music while my phone is off, but more often then not, the music starts out fine only for the app to suddenly crash and stop playing my music. It might work better if I kept my phone on while listening, but that’s a bit inconvenient for me personally. If the crashing issues are fixed up, though, then I don’t really have many complaints!

Only decent music app on iPhone. If it weren’t for the terrible way they handle merch sales, Bandcamp would be top dog across the board. Great for independent artists, great for looking for music to digest. I find it annoying that I have limited listens to individual albums unless I buy, but isn’t that kind of the point? Only downside is the lack of In-App music purchases. Physical releases? All day. Digital Download? Sorry, you got to use the website. Oh, and don’t forget the required PayPal account for any purchases.

I love bandcamp but the app needs more.. I don't mind that we can't purchase songs in the app due to the Apple Monopoly Tax but the app should at least give standard music player app features like playlists with shuffle. And give an easy way to get the entire library in a playlist. Without the ability to use the app on the road, where I can't always go scroll and find a new album, it is just about useless and the only way to listen to Bandcap music is to download on the computer and use iTunes.

Good app, just needs some tweaking. I think this is a good app for getting underground/indie music and finding new artists you would never have found out about unless you used this service. The issue is that it lacks a playlist setting (and if it does have one it is not very obvious) and has issues (with me at least) where sometimes the music won’t play and I have to keep exiting and reentering the app to get it to work (or sometimes it will just start working again without any of that). I think this could have been a four, or even a five, if some features were implemented and the issues fixed.

Perhaps tell us how to buy music?. First off: i LOVE Bandcamp, and believe it's one of the best ways for musicians to get their music out to the world. This is why it's such a shame that it's not possible to buy digital albums/tracks through the app. You can only order physical merch. But if someone is listening to music in the app, isn't that when they're likely to think, "this is great, i want to have this, i want to support the artist, I'll buy it." But you can only add it to a wishlist, which means you have to go through a whole other process on a different device in order to buy. İt would be useful if the app would tell us how to do that somewhere. I was just left thinking that most albums weren't for sale at all, until i figured out what was happening. This is due to Apple's policy where they take 30% of all in-app sales. This cut would make it impossible for Bandcamp to send artists their full payment. Apple really needs to change their policy to make exceptions for sales that go to support others.

Wonders for starving and supporting artists. Bandcamp has an immense amount of music. Any type of music by any type of person. It’s all wonderful to listen to. Plus, it makes it easier to be able to listen to music from one of my family members, whose dream it’s been to create music. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for new music that’s under appreciated or you want to support artists that aren’t as above ground.

Good content, broken app. I hate leaving reviews but i have to for this app. Im a web developer, i deal with apps for a living. So i know bugs are common and cant be avoided but sometimes theres no excuse and you just need to fix as much as you fan as fast as you can. This is one of those moments. The account activation emails had to be sent four times because all of them errored out when clicked immediately upon receiving. Also the profile image picker is broken, sometimes you can move an image or scale it to fit in the box and sometimes you cant, tried repeatedly with the exact same image every time. Also whatever is in the white frame that represents the boundaries of the profile pic is NOT what will be shown in the profile pic. Its almost always offset downward leaving a large extra space above the top of the image in you profile picture. I love bandcamp for the content it brings, and how it connects you with so many artists, but every experience with the app so far has made me want to throw my phone. Willing to change my review when bugs are fixed.

Access Music Not Available Elsewhere!. The only reason I even know about this app is bc one of my favorite artists, Beast 1333, is purely underground. His release of a 10 year anniversary album (time flies bc I still remember Mouth of Madness and thinking “Who is this??!) came two nights ago. My local vinyl store was supposed to have the album. Didn’t. The purchase of one album got me access to (what looks like) his ENTIRE discography. If u love music and support individual creators of unique content - this seems to be THE app for that! Not only that but it allows the musician to stay in contact with their fan base if they choose to - which Beast 1333 does regularly and prides himself on. Every music fan should have this!

Why?! Pushing you to buy too much which is causing bugs. I loved this app, it is a great way to stream and listen to some lesser known songs and albums by my favorite artists. It was working great and the occasional request to buy or support was fine. But it has now gotten to the point when every song I click it reminds me and thats not even the part I mind, because it alerts me I have to click to song again and it gets into a loop and I cant even listen to my song. I would love to support and buy the album but I don't have much money. So... as soon as they fix this issue this app will be 5 stars again but at the moment I cant even use it. I would love to be able to use and enjoy this app again. Please help. Thanks

Can’t hide purchases in the app!!. Bandcamp is amazing: it’s the only place I buy music from now! CarPlay integration is also great! I really do love the app but I wish there was a way for your hidden purchases to be hidden in the app too. I’ve purchased a few artist’s entire discography bundles — some of which have over 30 EPs/LPs/Singles — and although they’re hidden on my account they still show up in the app. It becomes a real chore to have to scroll through all of that, especially someone like me with a large library. If we could hide purchases in the app that would really make this a 5-star app!

SHUFFLE!?!?!?!??. Honestly, I’ve spent so much money on bandcamp. My entire life soundtrack is on there and I use this all day everyday. I absolutely LOVED the new update but, why… why on earth would we take out the shuffle all feature? There’s so many things in my collection, that being able to shuffle through all music helps me re-find past favorites… instead of building out an entire queue for like… a long drive for instance. That’s way too much effort!!! 4 stars until we get the shuffle all feature back :( This is also my first review ever on the App Store and I wanna make sure you guys know that I love what you do.. you’ve made my life what it is today by giving me access to millions of independent artists! Music is huge to me

Great App On A Smartphone For Playing Purchased Music. I think there should be a way to search for artists and purchase music through the app on a smartphone, but you can always go to the website on a phone to do that. I would like for the app to have a repeat (one song, entire album) and a shuffle button on the player. It would also be nice to see the lyrics for a song while playing it if the artist uploaded them to the website. Then I think the player would be perfect.

Awesome, could use some polishing. I love this app because it allows me to support obscure artists, and allows me to broaden my collection and understanding of music. Aside from this, I feel like a few improvements could be done. The UI is a bit clunky, sometimes it scrolls all the way back to the top of the music feed, also I think accessing genres/sub-genres should be easier, maybe you could go to your profile and select the genre from your following list, or could have a separate icon for it. When you follow a lot of different genres your music feed tends to get a bit cluttered and it’s harder to seamlessly select what you feel like listening to, I feel like a grid system might be better? Overall happy with the app though I love using it.

Support Artists not korporations. If music is important to you, more than just radio background noise, think about supporting the artists as directly as possible. Streaming services (including CrAppel music and Twahtify) literally Pay artists close to nothing. Purchasing a $10 album on EyeToonz pays the artist about $0.99. Bandcamp pays artists 85% of digital sales and 90% of physical merchandise sales. If you can afford to rent movies and buy crap from Starducks, think about paying the artists you love so they can keep making what you like \,,/

Great Service, Bad App. I love the concept and execution of Bandcamp and have bought so many albums from my favorite artists without having to pay subscriptions like what drives me crazy about the music industry nowadays. But why does Bandcamp still not have the most basic of services on their app such as creating playlists or choosing individual songs to play? Sure, downloads, but it’s hard if not impossible to download songs on an Iphone, and clearly the app wants to be an app you actually play music on because it has features to play and shuffle and all that, so it’s baffling they haven’t added more functionality for the app to be able to play music easily from it.

No CarPlay Functionality or iPad Version. It’d be great if you could provide a CarPlay app and an iPad version. I really love the iOS app, but I find myself only really listening to songs on BandCamp when I’m either using my iPad or I’m driving around. So in it’s current state, this app is actually pretty useless to me. With those to functions, though, I’d use BandCamp more for listening instead of just discovering bands or purchasing content.

It’s okay.... I wish there was a way to purchase through the app, but it sounds like that’s an iProblem, not Bandcamp. But why on earth is there not a repeat option?! So far I have only one album and it’s great to sleep to but it won’t repeat! Imagine my frustration when trying to drive one day and I kept having to pull over to make it play again. (Just telling Sync to play automatically starts iTunes, even if bandcamp was the only music app open and the previous play came from it.) Maybe docking it by a whole two stars is a bit extreme for simply not having a repeat option, but it’s such a basic option in music, you’d think it’d be automatic.

Great service, bad app. Love BC and would like to make it my go-to place for buying and listening. Unfortunately, neither the mobile device or the desktop is geared to managing a large collection. BC claims to have some sorting features, but they are undiscoverable (by me, anyway). As a result, I’m stuck with scrolling through a 200+ album collection. Worse, it is difficult to change a password from the mobile apps — the link never arrives or BC simply won’t allow a change. It would be one thing if the app stayed sync’d to the desktop, but it doesn’t—too often, it doesn’t recognize a password that I know is correct. Finally, their support is poor: They may get back to you in a day or two, they may not. No chat, no ticket number, no phone support. BC is a great, necessary service, but I can’t justifying buying more from them until they offer a UI that allows management of large collections and until I can reliably access the app.

It's a fantastic music app IMO.. Bandcamp has taken the place of what iTunes once was for me. It's a great place for discovering new artists/genres. If you're into obscure forms of music then you have come to the right place. I also feel Bandcamp does the musicians justice in relation to giving back to them. They promote up and coming artists and support a many that go under the radar. This is why I'm thankful Bandcamp exists.

I have some ideas!. The app just feels like the website for a shop. It isn’t easy to search for music unless you know their exact name. It doesn’t make it easy to really dive into a genre or find artists similar to artists you like. I suggest having a way for people to search for local music. Make it easier to be a musician on bandcamp. I have a profile as a musician and i cannot connect to fans, search for similar music, get news out there, have a listener profile that is affiliated with my band (at least i cannot figure out how to do that yet!) and I cannot connect with other bands and musicians on this app. Please help and please make it more than just a music store. Because it seems like it should be a community, yet i can’t figure out how to make it work that way... thanks

The Bandcamp app has an identity problem. Bandcamp. It’s the website where you buy music and support musicians that aren’t Top 40. It’s where you preorder albums by local artists. It’s where you buy merch from some indie band halfway across the world. But, Bandcamp the app. Well... you can’t actually buy music here, even though you can on the mobile version of the app. But you can stream it. But you can’t manage it. Or cache/download it. But you can buy physical media. So, is the app a media player? Because it does an OK job of that. But... it’s certainly not a library manager, so OK is all it gets. And it’s certainly not a store. And discovery is too obstructive to be useful. It’s an app that is convenient enough to see what your library (what you’ve purchased, no playlists or filters or anything) is and play it back. Sounds like a great idea on mobile if you could actually purchase your music there. But, for offline listening, you still need to find a computer, download the tracks, and add them to iTunes. Bandcamp - you guys can do better. I know you can. Define what this app is and what it can do. And let it be that.

App is bare minimum of function. I love buying albums on Bandcamp but really an starting to hate using the app. The issues with the app become more apparent the larger a collection that’s accrued. This app desperately needs better search, filter, and organization tools. It also needs to have general technical issues straightened out, like the way that it often thinks it’s offline and won’t allow albums to be played until the app is restarted, or is online but can’t seem to load any tracks from a selected album until restarted. Summary: A great music selling service but offering the bare minimum of user experience in all the places it should matter most — organizing and streaming the collection that’s purchased.

No playlist feature. Love the site and the app works well, but seems geared more towards e-commerce than as a way to enjoy your purchases. With over 100 purchases in my collection, the lack of any basic playlist features or shuffle play option is severely limiting. It’s especially annoying when driving. I promote Bandcamp to anyone that would listen but I feel like the app is the one thing letting you guys down. Include the ability to create playlists from your collections and shuffle play and it would be perfect. Thanks

Great app, but…. I love this app. I love the fact I can get lossless downloads and support artists with more of the purchase going into their pockets. There is an issue with performance within the app. It appears the buffering is set relatively low in comparison with other apps. I’ll start listening to something and head down my drive into dead cell area. Where other apps continue working for the next 1-2 miles Bandcamp will cease streaming. Pls increase buffering to allow for streaming in areas such as this for longer periods.

LOVE bandcamp, not this app. I am a bandcamp artist, I would gladly pay a little more to be one of it meant that this could be a viable app in 2018. The inability to buy things is silly. The search is wonky. The inability to store purchases offline means I don’t often use it because I don’t want to eat up data. As an artist, it is increasingly frustrating to point potential fans to bandcamp because it’s interface is so foreign to people that are used to the other streaming services. In terms of desktop, I have the same distribution as most “big name” artists. When it comes to mobile (which is how people are going to attempt to search for me mid show and listen to me on the way home), it’s not super useful. Again: I LOVE bandcamp. I use this app about once a month, as opposed to other services which I use several times daily.

Access granted. To musicians from many cultures and styles with enough smart features to pass hundreds of hours

Not for landscape iPad screen. This is one of those few apps that won’t rotate to landscape when I have my iPad ‘widescreen’, which is normal when you have a keyboard attached. Makes it completely unusable unless I detach my iPad from its keyboard, rotate to portrait screen, and start tapping with my finger. Terrible, fundamental blunder in coding.

Fine app. Works well, love the music. Admirable how they support independent artists.

Queuing….finally. So excited for the new queuing feature. I love the Bandcamp concept, simple app and Apple CarPlay integration. Just add payments to the app and I think it hits 5 stars

Almost perfect. Great app, the only thing it needs is the ability to sort by new arrivals (like the desktop version)

100% get this app !. I saved so much cash just because of the fact most material you set the price. Definitely my goto from now on compared to all other services before ! Also the artist get a descent cut of the money no matter how much the transaction.

Why does it keep crashing. Almost always crashes when switching between songs when on shuffle, how has this not been fixed. Also can’t scan thru songs, when I try it just restarts the song.

Love the app but needs chrome cast / AirPlay. Love everything about the usability and content. Would buy more vinyl if shipping costs were lower. Would be more in love if it had chrome cast & airplay. Playlists would also be a bonus. Continuous play from purchased tracks seems to have been removed, would like that feature back please. Great work overall guys, keep it up.

Quality Matters. Bandcamp is generally my first stop when I want to buy a digital copy of music. Downloads can come in variety of different formats including WAV and AIFF for audiophiles.

Neeeeeeeeding a tablet version badly. I love bandcamp on my phone. I dont like the web version on my tablet but I also cant stand using the app on it either. Please make a tablet version.

Fantastic app. I’ve recently started up a proper account on here and it’s great; heaps of new artists to discover and new options for purchasing music. Helped me rediscover my passion for music.

Definition of a waste of time and space. Downloaded the app so I could listen to a friend’s song I love (and fully intended to rebuy, again) without keeping the web browser open. After listening to it a few times it locked me out of the song with a “time to open up your heart and wallet”. So I press send purchase link, and it doesn’t show. Meanwhile the web browser continues to work fine. Sent it to another account and 15 mins later the link shows. After I purchase it, it tells me it can’t even be downloaded to the phone. I go back to the app to stream it (I’m in the North Pole, I did this to specifically avoid streaming), and I find the purchase link I ordered from my account, has in no way connected the music to my account; it’s just given me files I can’t download, so now I’m two different types of locked out of the one song I did all of this nonsense for in the first place. And there’s no way to link the purchase, so if I want to unblock it, I need to get on a computer I don’t have and buy it AGAIN from there! Naturally I go back to the web browser, and it works fine with zero restrictions, for free. Literally the definition of a waste of time, money and space. The only positive thing I can say is Bandcamp let me pay a friend more money twice without actually providing or doing anything themselves.

doesn’t have a ‘purchases’ tab. I purchased music but I have to go back out of the app to the website to find my purchases. When I play a track I’ve purchased in the app it doesn’t tell me I’ve purchased it/own a copy. I don’t know why the app is less functional than the website. I’m just going to use the website instead :(

Crash. I love using Bandcamp like lets say on my laptop, pc, etc. but I downloaded the app recently and when I tried to run it it was going well but when I try log in it takes about 30 seconds and then crashes.

Quite cumbersome to use. I suppose the only real benefit of this app in addition to the website is to listen to the music you've purchased. Unfortunately, it lacks many basic features in this area as far as I can tell - for instance, downloading music so that you can listen offline, making playlists, and/or even just being able to "like" songs so that your favourite songs appear in one place. I have a large Bandcamp library and unfortunately find this app a bit too simplistic for my listening needs, which is a shame because I like to be able to support musicians by paying for their music.

Love it, but.... Really good - incredible, even - but i’d do just about anything for a “download/sync all” button for my collection. Anything! The self-respect i’d abandon for his feature is honestly shocking. Since getting my new phone, the prospect of having to play back every record one-by-one is pretty unappealinng. C’monnnn, etc. Please?

Missing features. I’m a proud supporter of artists through Bandcamp, and really appreciate their activism on social matters - more businesses should follow their lead. However, I find that some missing features make me less likely to use it. The three main ones for me: - no ListenBrainz scrobbling - no filtering by license (e.g. search for CC-BY releases) - the app doesn’t allow searching your collection by genre

Poor functionality. Don’t know how their ratings are so high, I struggle to get it to play music half the time. Either stopping midway through an album or just resetting back to the start for no reason. If you want to be a music app get the basics right!

The only app for music streaming. Love getting access to artist’s music and making sure artists get the money. Forget $potify and the rest, Bandcamp are heroes.

Good app, needs purchases included. Literally would be a 10/10 if you could buy music from the app. But sadly apple fees or smthn

Needs major updating - buggy as. This was a great app - but it severely needs updating. Constant bugs and crashes all the time. Especially when trying to listen to Bandcamp weekly.

Needs Improvement. I try to listen to music but whenever I go back in it says I need to buy the song (which I cant’t) When the thing comes up about opening your wallet, there needs to be a way to close it without paying and listen for free

Overall a pretty good app. But what happened to the banners in the wish list telling you if something was a preorder ? That was handy, as I don’t want to spend time looking at every album, trying to find out if it’s been released yet.

My heroin.. Such aural addiction. I Just wish the app worked as well as the website.

No option to play offline, no way to queue music. Really need a way to organise music more within the app and an option to download for offline use.

Collection not appearing. I love this app but for some reason, the music I purchased isn’t appearing on my account, despite appearing on my phone’s safari and on my computer when I’m logged in. Could be because I used a gift card, but I’m not sure...

Please optimise for iPad!. I got an ipad to help run aspects of my label including doing art etc and doing basic label stuff which goes without saying I have a Bandcamp collection I want to listen to, when its just the iPhone app scaled up and forced vertical it kills all the fun. Yes I know the web version works ok but this feels like a missed opportunity to do something cool on Bandcamps end.

App is behind on interface updates. I love Bandcamp and the platform absolutely should be supported by as many people as possible. However to this day the iPad version is still scaled to a mobile phone resolution. It does the job but does not feel or look good to navigate, not as much as the actual mobile phone versions or desktop.

Superb. Love everything about this app. Visually it's great and easy to navigate & it seems to be a wonderful outlet for bands to put music out. Thanks

The cream of the crop. Top of the range in terms of digital music distribution services. Fantastic sound quality streaming, higher pay per stream for artists and direct links to the stores from which you can buy their music. One of the best places to be for any lover of music.

There's no better place.... There's absolutely no better place to discover brilliant new art while dealing directly with artists and fans. Bandcamp is a compulsory space for people to share musical innovation, creativity and passion.

Not User Friendly. This app is pretty ridiculous. Cuts out midway through my podcasts and won’t re-load at the point it was previously stopped. If I had any other way of listening to this podcast, I would definitely use it!

Not very good.. As i am a metalhead, the app wont play one of the first songs of a album. It says “time to open up thy heart/ wallet” and if i dont have a credit/ paypal, how do i pay? Add mobile credit please

Best platform to find/buy new music. Love it , wish I could make a playlist with the albums I’ve bought. Still I couldn’t live without it.

Almost perfect. If we could buy albums here, it would be perfect.

Bandcamp. Easy to use great to listen to from your iPhone or computer wherever you go. Also keeps you updated on your favourite artist and upcoming albums

More than just a music platform. Bandcamp is an easy to use platform to buy all your music needs while knowing the artist are getting looked after. Bandcamp has also gone above the call of duty to support the greater community by raising awareness and funds! Keep up the great work.

Can’t listen to free album. I downloaded this to listen to literally one album and it keeps wanting me to pay/download the FREE album, so I can’t click on the songs to listen to them.

The place to go to discover new music. What sets this apart from other music platforms is it’s constantly showing you new music and not just hyping up a select few. The music here is so fresh and different unlike the stale stuff you find on Soundcloud.

Almost perfect. Still whole heartedly worth it!. Update: Features are in! Yay! "Shame it's missing some tiny features here & there, -album shuffle, playlists, but as far giving power back to the consumer & one of the best supports of Artists directly, of any platform, it's pretty much perfect! : P" 5 Stars!

Needs rotation on IPad. The App is improving all the time but having to use it sideways when your IPad and it’s case or holder has it in landscape mode is annoying. It would be the simplest feature to add and would improve it’s usability greatly

Great, as an artist and fan I love the website.. Although I started of with the website and thought it was pretty neat, I tried the app. The app is useful and intelligently created but I really want to download tracks with ITunes credits from my IPhone. that would make it easier and faster then starting up my PC and downloading a new favourite track.

Great app but songs need to be available to download on iOS. I used this app on my note 8 and had quite the collection but you can’t download music for iPhone i don’t want to download it from a Mac just straight to my iPhone

Keeps crashing. I use this app on iPad, I’ve had it for ages and never had any problems, but since iOS went to version 10 or 11 the app constantly crashes if playing music and, if I’m browsing through my library it keeps resetting to the top of the screen. This app is now virtually unusable for me, a real shame because I love it

It’s the closest experience to record shopping but online. I love this app, I love the way it supply’s art work and tracks for me to stream and listen on the go. Getting fresh material across multiple genres and it feels organic. Unlike other streaming services out there. Requests to improve When filtering genres I would like a play all - so it will Autoplay multiple albums not just the one release Can we build a cart in the app so I can prep tracks I wish to buy? I appreciate you have many formats for sellers to accomodate but a basic cart would be great Is there possibility of a streaming service for djs? I would prefer to use your platform over others in the market? Cheers Sam

Great intuitive app but shipping costs are off the scale. Love the app, i think it’s extremely well designed and a fantastic way to discover new music. My only gripe is the shipping costs to Australia - $35+ for a $20 record! This needs to be addressed. Seriously.

Set favourite track not working. The set favourite track on the app has not been working for a few weeks now.

Don’t bother on iPad. The app is great on iPhone, but a cumbersome on the iPad. Won’t even rotate to landscape mode and won’t use the whole screen. Disappointing.

Really easy to use. I’ve been using this app for a few years now. It gets regularly updated, but I can never see the difference. It’s always worked and it still does. The one thing I’d change? When tapping on purchase information it never gives you the digital album price. This would be helpful. I understand that Bandcamp/Apple won’t let you purchase and download. That’s okay with me. But I would like to see the digital cost all the same.

Love it. Love Bandcamp for giving bands an opportunity to connect worldwide & sell albums without having to use itunes

Should be a great way to support independent music but…. …the app stopped working on my iPhone. All I get is “Network error 400 expired”. Disappointing.

IPad ?. The app works fine, but it’s 2021 guys - why no iPad native ui?

Great app!. Would love to see an Apple Watch app for this. And an iPad app. Thank you.

Cannot sign up for an account. I keep getting “Network 424” error when trying to sign up for an account. I reinstalled and did a hard restart of my iPad, with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No Dark Mode?. Seriously needs a dark mode like the website

Love the app. Bandcamp is a great music app, I love how they give you the opportunity to listen to the songs a couple times before you purchase them. I wish they would add functionality to Siri though

First time listener.... I rarely give five stars, and I never write reviews. But I love this app, place, thing? I’ve been so busy with work and kids for the past six years I basically forgot about the music and how good it makes me feel. I downloaded Bandcamp when I saw my musician friends talking about the inequities in other online music purchasing platforms. I was overwhelmed when I first opened it up because there’s a lot going on. But then I got a sick and found a bunch of time to myself and was able to look closer. I found all my friends albums and a bunch of new stuff. I am in love! Most apps don’t actually make you feel better. This one does.

Almost 5 stars. I say almost 5 only cuz there’s no repeat 🔁 🔂 or shuffle 🔀 options which is a down step from other music browsing apps other then that great library so far

Really good. I really like this I cam listen to good music that isn’t on iMusic but I wish I could pay with funds I have on my phone

Unusable. Fast forward/rewind and scrubbing doesn’t work 3/4 of the time and the app loses your place in the track when it’s closed. Absolutely useless for podcasts. Steer clear if you have literally any other option it would be better than this app.

Excellent source!. An excellent way to purchase music that directly supports the artists, and learn about new artists out there!

Frustrating. App won’t open after dl on my iPhone 6. Tried restarting phone. Tried deleting app and downloading again. It just commences to load, briefly loads the logo, then blips out.

App’ crash. I enjoy using the app. I really enjoy the weekly radio casts. Unfortunately, the latest app update either won’t load the weekly radio cast, or crashes after a while or when I attempt to view information on the artist I’m listening to. If by chance I do happen to load the page to select a new episode. It flips back to the previous episode. I use an iPhone 6s with the iOS 12.4.1. The app worked fine a few days ago on the previous version of the app.

Love Bandcamp. But why do links from artists messages take me to my web browser instead of just redirecting me in-app?

Shuffle All. Best update ever!!! Been waiting for the shuffle all button for all my collections. Thank you for adding that!

Hoping for an iPad optimized version. Thank you for running one of the best independent music stores.

Where did Google Cast support go??. I love what Bandcamp does, but it really sucks that it’s no longer possible to use Chromecast with Google devices in this app, which is my main way of listening to music. Please bring it back !

Plays your music, can’t buy with it possibly.. Looks absolute crap on the iPad Pro.

It’s actually pretty good, still no playlist feature yet.. As much as I like the app, and the musicians I’m finding always seem to be amazing, the one sole problem I always have going through is a really simple feature you’d think would be implemented already. A playlist feature is what this app desperately needs to keep me hooked, having to always go from album to album for a single artist is getting really old real fast. Considering that your able to save your collection locally onto your device this should be something to put forward on the priority list of upcoming patches.

Pain. Why did you remove replay 1 song only. Pain ultra. Add that back. Removing that doesn’t even make sense like what

Not functioning properly. I love the app but the latest version isn’t working properly on my iPhone. What’s going on?

do better. needs an iPad app

How about a proper iPad app?. Fairly bad user experience, in an interface which doesn’t fit my screen. I don’t understand why there’s not a proper iPad version.

Missing content. On the website version you can access Crystal Castles’ music and on the app you can’t find anything.

Baffling lack of integration. Bandcamp’s a nice service with a bafflingly incompetent and poorly-integrated app. You might think your music feed would serve you new albums by artists you follow. Nope. It's indistinguishable from my "suggestions" feed, full or artists I don't know, rather than the ones I want to listen to. Alright, let me go to my messages, where artists I follow have sent messages about their new albums. You might think that when I click on links to their album, that will bring them up in the app. No, those bring me to my browser. Alright, I'll manually search in the app for an album I've asked bandcamp to notify me about (why did I do that again?). When I start listening to it and try to come back to it later, you might think it would keep playing through the album. Nope, bandcamp stops after one song. I need to re-navigate to the album that I was on last time. Again, bandcamp's a cool service, their app sucks at playing music you want. Maybe I should break down and try spotify after all?

Pls add a repeat single track on downloads. I like this app now that it’s working better. I would like it more if I could repeat a single track on downloaded music. Also navigation around queuing music could be better.

Great Leap Forward: In-App Downloads. At last, I can now use Bandcamp tracks off line without going through the iTunes side loading process. this really is a huge help.

Needs iPad app. I like the app for streaming Bandcamp albums I bought but there’s no iPad app.

Nice idea horrible app.. Doesn’t show any new songs I purchased, Keeps crashing, doesn’t work in locked screen mode at times, While bandcamp itself is a magnificent idea, bandcamp app is such crap. you earn decent money off many fine musicians, Can you actually do something to improve this dysfunctional CRapp already??? So frustrating !!! zero star.

Junk. I just want access to the music I’ve purchased.

I love the idea of Bandcamp but.... The UX feels like MySpace 2020 and no iPad native app? Help out the artists that make Bandcamp what it is and do better please.

Great music, great quality, and fair. Bandcamp is truly the best platform out there for discovering new music and being able to download the highest quality audio files possible for each release. They aren’t bound to the same limitations that major digital retailers are. Allows you to browse music based on specific tags, and overall a very good experience for finding new artists and exploring different subgenres. Furthermore, Bandcamp are currently the leaders with being fair to artists. Their sales cut is very reasonable and far below the competition, and they pay artists instantly upon each purchase, unlike major online retailers. Hopefully Bandcamp continues this business model, and only improves from here.

Easy way to add my purchases to my phone. I love that all my band camp purchases can be in one place. I have been using the app for about six months now and I haven’t experienced any glitches yet.

Horrible update. It's now just their website in an app. Awful interface that stops playing albums midway through or refuses to play a second album once you’re done listening to the first album. It also just refuses to play a lot of my albums and just skips from the first to last song without playing any music. I loved the old app and I'm very disappointed in the new one. All these people giving the 5 star reviews must work for Bandcamp or have never used their app before.

30 out of 30 Helens agree Bandcamp sets the standard. Out of all the music offering services, Bandcamp is my favourite for best audio quality and delivery. Keep it up! I want you guys to win while maintaining your excellent standards. Also, thank you for offering 24-bit Hi-Res audio in ALAC. It makes it so easy to sync to my iOS devices.

Killer music platform. Only thing I’d say this needs is a fresh new interface and a dark mode version. Other than that it’s solid.

It’s pretty good. I’m going to be completely honest in this review, the only reason I downloaded this app was to check out Mars Argo’s music because it isn’t on Spotify (apparently it used to be) and only three videos are left on the YouTube channel. I used the desktop website to stream Mango Angle, and I decided to try it again. It works fine for listening to music.

Feels like a web app. And where’s dark mode? A cardinal sin in 2022.

Who?. Thirty Helen’s? I assume that’s a band?

Great for people who like indie music. I love this app because it allows me to get niche music on my phone super easy. A lot of the music I like isn't on Spotify, apple music and sound cloud. Bandcamp let's me support some of my favourite artists like Home and Blank banshee :)

Still no cast support. Without Google Cast support, the app isn't really useful for me.

great service, not so great app. please update the app to enable purchasing or call it bandcamp streamer app. it makes no sense not to integrate purchasing in your app where your business model is to sell artist’s wares and derive a commission based on those sales. having a redirect reduces the likelihood of a user purchasing anything. make it seamless; when a company puts barriers in place for a customer to give them money it does not bode well for longevity

Needs iPad app. Would love if this had an iPad app

Better than Spotify. If you a music player with a conscious, look no further

Chrome Cast is gone!. With this new version, the Cast button is gone. I’ve been using the feature forever. Now it’s gone. I have made sure the app has the local network privacy permission. And I checked other apps and made sure Chrome Cast still works. Please fix this.

Service is great but app not so much. I love what you guys are doing at bandcamp but the app just isn’t very good. The UI feels dated and doesn’t integrate well into iOS. The Cast button doesn’t do anything (it doesn’t show any of my airplay speakers available). And links to bandcamp don’t open the app, they open the webpage instead.

How do I buy music??. It should be a LOT more obvious how to buy music from an artist on bandcamp. I shouldn’t have to search around when I’m using the app… why isn’t it a seamless experience, like when I’m buying some useless contraption on Amazon? Your only job is to get money from people like me into the pockets of musicians!! Where’s the “Buy with Apple” option, or the Paypal, or Credit card payment choices? I just want to buy some music, dammit!! Also, when is this money from Epic games coming in? I’m sure you all can get an ipad app together by now? It’s getting ridiculous at this point.

Independent bliss. WELL LAYED OUT. LOTS OF MUSIC CHOISESdope for all music

Best Music App/Service. I have found so many amazing artists through Bandcamp

Enjoy. How can you not love Bandcamp - it allows you to support local artists.

Great service, but no offline download. The service itself is great. Supporting artists and owning music has never been easier or better. However, the mobile app has a glaring omission: No offline download button. To make sure your songs are offline, you have to download the mp3s and import them into your iPhone, which just seems a little archaic. If they implement this, it would be an easy 5 star.

Why does this App exist?. This app is literally the condensed version of the web browser. It does not work any better, I bought 1 thing to test it out. Which does not play on the mobile app (so what is the point of the app). Not to mention navigating through with their misused symbols, such as, the home button which brings you to the explore page. Why doesn’t it bring you to all who you are following?

Wonderful service!. I am not sure about the app functionality (I have just started using it), but this is a great service! I had not known there was real music left (the kind that isn’t pushed out according to a highly engineered recipe), but there is so much interesting and good music here. I think Apple needs to stop being a grouch and allow in app purchases (I like Apple, but playing with antitrust tendencies doesn’t look good on them).

2021 great app for supporting artists but crap player. Ok. I purchased a bunch of stuff but this player is not fun. How do I make a list of what songs I like the most? How do I shuffle through all my purchases? Why can’t I just export these to iTunes Player (yeah I know it’s Apple but why STILL?) love supporting the artists but I never want to use this app to listen to anything as it gets in the way so I just don’t really buy anything anymore on it.

The real rabbit hole of niche music. I remember navigating and getting lost in random sections on the genre of music the platform has to offer back in 2012 in my old lap top. This app definitely has a galore of music genre to keep you busy and also get you to discover different artists in small niche of groups, nevertheless you may find that your music palette is way broader than you think.

Nigh-inaccessible music. Why is it that half the time I want to buy a track through the app, I can’t? I just went to one of the featured singles by Chillhop Records, and all I see in the song description is a link to a page that shows me different streaming options, one of them Bandcamp. I pick Bandcamp, and am then redirected to Bandcamp’s desktop site, where I can finally choose to pay for the song. Yet, because of this little game of redirection, I now need to sign into my Bandcamp account AGAIN if I want the song in my personal library. Can you people fix your app so I can actually buy music in it?

The bar has been set.. This is the standard for all music. I wish I could download to my phone. Keep up the good work! Thank you! -oh and I wish that I could showcase my podcast with live links. I play hundreds of unknown artists that I have found on bandcamp and word of mouth. Electronic ( not to dance to), drone, spacerock, ambient, berlin school, doom and desert sludge, music with texture and depth.

Pretty Good. Overall I like this app a lot, let’s you browse and listen without issue and saves your purchases for streaming. This app would be considerably better if it let you download, in app, track music to listen to. I don’t want to constantly have use data to listen to what I’ve bought, that’s why I bought it. Other than that love it.

Can’t block spam followers. This is a great app I like to use for music listening, but I took off two stars because you can’t block people who you don’t want to follow you. I’m not an artist and I downloaded this app solely for listening, but I keep getting followed by inappropriate spam accounts. There should be a way to block accounts like this who follow you, in order to enhance listening experience and to protect privacy. Thank you.

Improvement over older versions.. The app performance has improved this year. However there are still playback issues. Sometimes if a song is paused and then restarted the entire album starts over from the beginning. Same if I’m listening on one device and switch to another. Kind of annoying but the app has seen massive improvement overall.

Really wanted to give 4 1/2. Love this app but it must be on for you to enjoy your music. You also have to manually select what you want to hear unless, of course, you plan on downloading your music on to your device. Otherwise, i still love this app. Love discovering new bands and discovers hidden gems from established one (ie. Behemoth’s I Love You At Darkest or Kuoleman Galleria’s discography) and hearing them before, and if, i decide to buy.

Eclectic Plethora of Music. Bandcamp is my go-to-place to find, support and listen to some of my favorite musicians like Tony Levin. In addition, some of my favorite local groups like The New Motif are on Bandcamp. I enjoy buying their music Ali g with sugned CDs and other merchandise to support these amazing musicians. Bandcamp service is always outstanding and I can also stream my Bandcamp music in my Man Cave. The Music Aficionado 🎼

Allow downloads to phone!. Other apps like RElisten allow downloads to your phone. Not sure why bandcamp hasn’t figured that out. Super annoying that I must stream when many times I don’t have reliable service. Please change this so I can give it 5 stars! Content is excellent but no accessible without data. That super lame!! Please help bandcamp, many people list this same complaint!

So close. This is so close to being an amazing app. I recently changed phones though and realized that none of my downloaded/purchased music transferred to my new phone. I live in a remote area in Alaska and need to download music to listen to it because service is too bad to stream it. I’ve spend 30 minutes trying to find a way to download my purchases, and the FAQ page has this question, but it doesn’t match what I see on my browser or in the app. Super frustrating to have purchased albums because I want o support the artist and then not be able to listen to it.

Topless trans woman on Home Screen. Music covers are always questionable, but if you have kids watch out. Band camp decided that it would be a good idea to showcase front and center on their home screen a topless person. Either it’s a woman and they have to be breaking some sort of pornography rules here (or has apple just abandoned that?), or they are getting around the rules by deciding that she’s actually a dude and therefore it’s somehow ok. Idk, either way seems like the app deserves a higher rating than 12+, and this app is clearly not for me or my family. Good for her that she made some music and got featured. Be nice if she put a shirt on.

Only displays properly with a phone. I sure wish they made a version for an iPad. This version when used on an iPad keeps everything in vertical mode. So when you look at the iPad normally, you would half to turn your head sideways to read/use. Don’t we have the technology for apps to rotate along with the phones orientation? Pretty sure I have other apps that do this, so it must exist. Not sure why Bandcamp won’t implement it! Oh welp.

One of my favorite music platforms. Band camp is great. When I buy music I have an actual copy of files that I can put on a hard drive. I can stream and check stuff out and it’s great for discovering independent artists or up and coming ones

Works great with my streaming device. I stream from my iPad to a media streamer using Bluetooth. It sounds good and is easy to use to play my purchased albums. Much better than playing from a web browser where you lose the stream if you close the browser or change the page.

Solid app. I've really enjoyed this app for listening and discovering new music. Wish that the mobile version was full-feature as it can be frustrating when you are traveling etc and just have your phone but are limited with what you can do.

Latest update 2.6.0. Was really excited about the “shuffle all” feature, the problem is that it crashes after about 30 seconds every time I use it. Hope they can get that squared away because it is a feature I will use often. Also, would love to be able to hide albums like I can on the web version. I have almost 6k albums and I don’t care to listen to some of them .

Pay gating for thee but not for me.. They don't cut you off on the website like they do in the app. You properly have the opportunity to listen to the full release and then decide if you want to own it. Try and start it from the beginning or a track you missed, and you get a stupid broken-heart animation and the song greyed out. You may or may not agree with this tactic, but the point is they only do it to mobile users. They don't dare pull this post-Internet deep web nonsense in a proper browser. It's funny because the only people who bother with the app are paying customers. Or were.

Very useful :). Great app! I've been wanting to take all my bandcamp songs on the go without manually putting them in my iTunes library! I only have one issue which it's a bit misleading to purchase free music? My music is on bandcamp for free, but a few of my friends have thought that they have to pay $1 to download my tracks, because it says "pay $1 or more to add to your collection." I don't know if that makes sense, but overall it's a super great app!

Non existent customer support for listening. Bandcamp is probably great for its artists but as someone who wants to listen to my purchased music online it is the pits. If there is any simple way to see a playlist of my purchased albums on the bandcsmp app, I have never found it. The help center is no help and there is NO direct way to send these folks an email to simply ask for help. How supercool. Offer great music, then once it’s been bought — forget the buyer.

Was Great.... Best way to buy music if you're a nerd and like a shiny hard copy with your digital downloads. And donating to the ACLU this past Friday makes me want to give you 10 stars... But now I have to LOG IN EVERY TIME I OPEN THE APP!!!! I used to stay logged in and that was so user friendly. Now I have to enter a user email and password every time I start the app. Yuck. I already have to do that for so many other things. I hate this change so much. HATE.

A short on the Bandcamp App. I was pressured by a coughing notification to give this app 5 stars. All in all, I'm very pleased with this app because it allows me to listen to the music I bought without going through the whole iTunes trail. That being said, if I had more music, I bet I would run into the trouble I briefly looked at from other reviewers here stating that there is no playlist option. Please fix. Much love, Andres!

Stop telling me to download a FREE mixtape!. This needs to be designed better. I keep getting a stupid pop up telling me to open my heart and wallet for a free mixtape. I DONT NEED THIS MESSAGE TO KEEP COMING UP OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER. So I have to download the album and put it on my phone just to enjoy it simply because of a poor design choice. OR if we could add free releases to our collection I wouldn’t have to worry about this. As it stands now there is no way around this issue which is poor design.

Best app for new and exclusive music. Been using Bandcamp on my pc for years. The app is a perfect companion for this service and the community is great. It allows you to support artists with as much money as you want and you can listen to your favorite submissions ad free!!! Get this if you want to hear genres you’ve never heard before and artists you may never hear on the radio.

Can y’all add an “open in app” button. Your app is pretty good, but please lol it’s really annoying to have to manually switch apps, research a page, etc, when you click a BC link online. This kind of functionality would make it a lot easier for fans and artists to share music. BC is a really crucial platform for artists nowadays. Would really love to see this added functionality.

Always logging me out. This app is always logging me out! It’s very annoying. I’ll be listening to a podcast, leave the app for a bit, and when I come back I’m logged out and my place is lost. Happens multiple times a week and I don’t know what triggers it. The history feature is weird too. How long do I need to listen to something before it shows up in my history? It’s something more than like 30 seconds, which is just strange. If I listened to an item for any length of time at all it should be in my history.

Great for supporting artists, not so much for listeners.. The inability to create playlists or listen to my music offline as others have mentioned makes the app frustrating and almost useless. The developers are certainly aware at this point. Must be some deal they have with Apple or someone to make them happy rather than the folks who actually buy the music. If all of Buckethead’s music were somewhere else I wouldn’t even be here.

No download. Cannot download purchased music. App only allows streaming. Furthermore, visiting the website also claims Apple does not allow downloading of music. Which is simply false. You can now download any file you wish and handle it in the files app or another app of your choosing. I exclusively purchase most music on Bandcamp now vs Apple/amazon/google etc. I don’t have a pc. so this app is quite disappointing as it makes you waste data by only allowing streaming, and in many cases Where WiFi is not available and cell service is poor, this App becomes useless. What is the purpose of this app if I’m forced to use 3rd party apps or browsers to even download the music I purchased? I will not purchase anything more from bandcamp until you allow downloading or purchased music. Get your act together.

Almost a 5 but Needs a Few Additions to Get it There. Wonderful and dependable play back. A great app for discovering and supporting upcoming and indie artists of every genre. My only issue is a lack of a loop/repeat option for an album or song you have purchased. This would be extremely helpful for constant replay of short and relaxing albums/compositions in my library. A shuffle option would be nice too but less important. Otherwise great app, layout, and user interface.

PLAYLISTS. Bro I’ve been waiting for ever for this day and I’m glad it came!!! Big W, especially ppl with big libraries. I have over 400 items bought. The next thing tgat can use improvement is definitely having more of a community feel. Would be dope to have like forums and be able to write stuff to ppl you’re following and stuff. THANK YOU…👺

Directly support your favorite musicians. I discovered Bandcamp through the Metal Injection music website. Discover many new bands and musicians in the music genre you enjoy and support them directly buy buying their merchandise from the source. Purchased music can be downloaded in a multitude of different formats and can be accessed anytime. Discover your next favorite artist with this app!

High quality streaming and download. I don’t know how they did it but the quality of the streaming and downloads is amazing. It’s a shame Apple policies doesn’t let you buy music through the app anymore but the app remains the best way to listen to your collection compared to importing it into iTunes which just bugs you to buy Apple Music constantly.

Love this app but I hate the constant reset. This app is really amazing especially for independent artist. I love that I can listen to what has been released and decide whether to buy it or not afterwards. But a huge annoyance is the constant refresh. Especially if you’re just going down the line of a specific label. The constant reset is really, really, really annoying and frustrating. Please fix this. Otherwise I would give it five stars.

I love it so much. Seriously, the best way to find music. If I have nothing in mind, genre wise, check the home page. The articles and writing are great. I’m a musician and I love how direct everything is: payment, design, streaming decisions. The best choice for musicians and fans who care about the people making the music. 💜

Great service, but the app needs work. I love Bandcamp, and I’ve bought a lot of music from them to support the artists. And when I’m on my computer and using a web browser, I can play the music that I bought anytime. But not with the mobile app! There’s no way to listen to your own collection on the mobile app. It just routes you into discovering more stuff to buy. Wish they would fix this.

My problem. I like how certain artists and releases are here on BC....but why isn’t there a Player? How do I listen to my collection one after another, continuous play. I have not figured out a way for the next song to advance. It just stops. That is so frustrating I can’t handle it. Let’s be real- BC is not a turntable. Maybe an update will have this feature because otherwise I don’t use the app or my purchase too often, sadly.

A Must for music lovers. Broad, deep, and familiar bands with a customer base that shares purchase and wish lists - very helpful to review entire lists to identify new music. This is one of the best ways to find your music, now listen offline, and know that the artists are receiving the lion share of their sales. Even better are days that BandCamp passes 100% of sales to artists!

Playlist functionality, offline listening would be swell. I love bandcamp, and I love what it stands for. I buy tons of music off bandcamp—usually cassettes with their included free downloads—and I love that I support artists directly. I also follow a few artists that put out a song or two at a time, and do so often. For those artists, it would be rad if i could compile all those tracks into a playlist without plugging my phone into my computer and downloading files, etc. An option to download files to your phone for airplane listening would also be tops, if the iTunes Store allows it. I know that some files are downloaded to the app’s cache, bc things will sometimes continue to play in airplane mode, but it would be nice to control what’s in that cache.

Great, good, fine. I listen to music. I like to support the musicians I listen to. Bandcamp let’s you enjoy the music before buying it. That works well for me. Lots of artists that I love. Some stuff I have never heard of too. Wish that apple would let me download the music I purchase directly (without having to use a pc) but that’s not on Bandcamp.

Why isn’t this a universal app?. This app does a very good job of doing streaming playback of one’s Bandcamp purchases, and a pretty good job of letting one browse and search the Bandcamp catalog. I see no good reason at all why this is still, or ever was, an iPhone-only app. It ought to be made a universal app as soon as possible. It would also be nice if it were possible to purchase digital music in-app.

Needs minor improvement. I wish there was a way to see how much an album cost when adding it to my wishlist. I get not being able to purchase it via app but I hate not knowing how much an album costs until I get home. Otherwise, this app is amazing. I’ve been using bandcamp for YEARS and this app works great for me and allows me to find new artists constantly.

No delete option. I feel like we should have the option to remove music from are personal collections so annoying seeing old music in my collection that I didn’t listen to anymore I’m not asking for a refund or anything just the simple option to remove music from my collection and I’m sure a lot of people could agree with me

Great App. I love this Bandcamp and this app, however, I do think we should be able to download our purchased music within the app itself. Doesn’t have to be all of it, but songs or albums we choose to. It would benefit people who don’t have unlimited data. It would also be a neat feature since my phone refuses to sync with my computer and I can’t transfer the files themselves. But great app!

Poor coding job. I have an user name and login credentials but I used my PayPal to purchase music. I can never find my music because this app would put the music I purchased under my PayPal account email!! I found out later this is the thing they do to purposefully capture people’s payment emails and then later ask them to link those emails to the band camp acct. Bad business!! What’s the point of me having band camp user credentials then?! I had to repurchase my music using a credit card in order to prevent confusion… totally defeat the purpose of fast purchasing. Will not use this service again!

!!!. The best music app there is! Just get it and dive in to music from the newest independent artists around the world:) My band is supported by Bandcamp and proves to be a beautiful bridge between the artist and the audience in our modern world, more commonly dominated by corporate interest (i.e. any other music app!). This is a uniquely designed app, meant to be, just for you, and I am willing to bet you will love it just as much as I do!

Very nice app, only one critique though. I have much praise for Bandcamp and this app and I love the idea of supporting artists and the app is pretty good in most aspects, however my only critique being you should be able to organize songs into playlists per se. I tend to like to shuffle through songs and I think if you have a lot of albums you’ll have a really long shuffle list to go through

Please add a customizable EQ thing thang!!!. I’ve loved bandcamp since its conception, but as i find myself connecting my phone to bluetooth speakers more and more in the modern day, I find myself less than satisfied with the sound quality of my Oontz Angle bluetooth speaker. It is the size of a beer can, so I need to be able to bump those juicy lows and mids to counter the trebley-ness of this awkward shaped piece of trash. Please grant my wish and you can have my first born child’s soul. Thanks! <3
