Geography and History combined!. Guessing the map locations is fun, but my favorite part has become the bits of history that you get each day for each location. Whoever is choosing the bits of history to write about and writing the summaries - you’re doing a great job! Interesting, succinct, and doesn’t seem AI generated. A wonderful daily game and learning app!

Great game!. My family and I love this game. It’s been fun while being educational. (The comments after you tap are pretty funny. )

A Daily Delight. This treasure of a game makes me smile each day. My favorite moments are learning about people (especially women) I’ve never heard of doing extraordinary things. Also, my whole family shares our scores each for bragging rights.

Just good vibes. Looking to boost your geography skills while getting good-vibes history lessons? Oddly specific for you to look, but this is definitely the place for you!

Sensitive touch. I enjoy the game but it is very sensitive to touch on the phone and I often end up 1,000 miles away when I am turning the globe. Very frustrating

Great game, too many players cheating for high scores.. This is a great game. It really challenges your geography skills. It’s unfortunate that so many people cheat to get perfect scores. Add a 5 second timer to keep players from cheating.

Needs improvement. Wish it would state location country not just a point of interest. Also, it would help if it states what wrong location did one tap at. In addition, in the practice mode there’s only one round with same locations, over and over again. It would help if locations change for every practice round ( like with MapGame or Globe gam so for me, these two are much better, more fun and more educational. Add, Seterra app to the mix and you have a perfect app

Brain Game. It’s a fun way to text your geography knowledge each day. And I like that the location is chosen based on a fact that happened on the the same calendar day in history.

Favorite internet game. I love this game. I play daily and share scores with my siblings. I absolutely love the short histories that tie the day’s theme together.

SO FUN!. What a great game! Everyone can take a stab at the answers, everyone has different places they know well, and the facts are enlightening. Almost my whole family plays this and posts scores daily, it’s been a great way to say a quick hey daily. I’ve recommended this game to dozens of people in the last six months and almost all of them are still playing!

Fantastic game, app crashes quite a lot. Notifications about new maps sometimes block new location instructions. Also in general the app crashes a fair amount. That being said I love the game and the historical tidbits, which are usually new to me but never feel irrelevant.

Inventive and exciting!. What a great way to learn geography. If only we had this when I was in grade school. Not only do you learn location but also history about each location!

Fun challenging. I thoroughly enjoy Map tap and play it often. My biggest problem is that frequently when just moving the globe around it mistakes my touch for a guess and it’s never even close. I just play for fun but if I was playing for score this would be a deal killer. I would suggest having a : “ is this your guess” confirmation step to avoid this.

Incredibly fun but needs improvements. I will come back and give this a perfect score when a feature is implemented to make it easy to review my mistakes. Right now I can’t find a way in the app to really pinpoint a previous location. There needs to be a precise way to learn from previous mistakes. Thanks for making this app!

Fun Game, Great Trivia Blurbs. Challenging, really entertaining and only takes a few minutes a day. A little bummed that the developer is starting to sneak in political barbs.

Fun and you learn. Pretty simple here. Fun and you learn. Also though, the interface is very well done and simple and I love the facts you get to learn about history in those places each day. 10/10 best daily game I play.

Fun game. It’s a really fun game to play. Helps you learn a lot about geography. My only negative so far is you hit the screen accidentally and it counts as your turn. If you’re really far off, maybe ask, “are you sure” once per guess.

Fun, but…. I wish it had more geographic details in the maps to allow more accurate guessing. If there’s a river, show it! And if it would allow better zooming, instead of simply blurring up, it would be a big improvement.

Fun learning!. My sister and I both do this every morning and share our scores. This is a fun way to refresh and learn!

BEST GAME EVER. Every morning when I wake up, I skip the messages on my phone and head to MapTap. My family and I absolutely love this game :) it’s the best to have something that is both informative and fun. We get to learn geography, history, and have a blast! It’s clear the love that is put into this game and I expect to start hearing more about it soon! Thank you to the creator, can’t wait to see what is in MapTaps future!

Educational and fun. Geography is something I geeked out on as a kid. It’s fun to test the brain and try to map out some of these places. I like that they give historical facts after the rounds too.

Addiction Tap. I never write reviews for apps. It’s always felt pointless. However I’ve been religiously addicted for the past 3 months and I can’t stop. Every day it’s become a competition between me and friends on who has the best score. Amazing idea well executed and with constant updates.

I should get commission. My brother told me about this game. I have recommended it to family and friends. We share our scores daily and i share many of the stories each day. My goal was to improve my world geography skills and this app has been great. The author is a great story teller. Changing to a double tap in setting was a game changer for me.

Map Tapalicious!. Love this game. It really makes you think and you learn along the way. I’ve recommended to many friends. This “US American” has upped his geographic skills with the ability to locate the Iraq everywhere like such as!! (Riffing on the Miss Teen USA 2007 pageant—Ms. South Carolina)

Such a fun geography learning quiz. I appreciate all the fun facts about each location and the difficulty levels. I wish there were progression arrows for the fun facts to make it easier to get to the next section of text without having to try and scroll on the globe and get it lined up properly.

Absolutely love this app!. I want to thank the person who invented this app and writes all those clever and interesting facts and stories about the sites every day. My sister and I compare our scores every day and we're both so happy to be learning new things. We end up studying maps and the globe every day to try to improve ourselves, and we are learning so much! And I'm also grateful for the time that the man mentioned that there was a disabled person who was accidentally getting the wrong answers from tapping while spinning the globe on the app and that that was a confirm choice button that could be turned on. We are not disabled, but had often accidentally had that happen to us and we were very glad to learn of that choice , and our scores have also gotten better from using that confirm or clear, So thanks for mentioning that. We needed it! This app is absolutely so much fun and educational. It's just wonderful.

So much fun. Takes just a few minutes of the day to find 5 places on the map and you get to learn a little something too. Love the sound design!

Life Changer. I always thought I was decent at geography… and boy was I wrong. From the first day I played this I was frustrated with how little I truly knew about the world. This app has taught me more about Geography than any class I have taken… which is either sad for me or either great praise for the app (probably both). I have never written a review for an app or game before. There’s games on here I have over 50+ hours in and have played for years. Never have I felt compelled to recommend a game. Play this. The best game ever

Amazing. I never write reviews, but I needed to come here to say how awesome this app is. The geography quiz is fun (and humbling) and then you get to learn 5 new snack size history lessons each day. This app rocks and I hope it stays free. The only downside is my old phone occasionally quits the app because it has to work hard to run all it offers. Don’t even care, still the best app on my phone right now

Dopamine fix!. I love that every day is a new set of hints. Makes getting your daily dopamine fix easy. I love a challenge! This game is hard but really fun and rewarding. Not only to familiarize yourself with new locations, but you get to learn interesting trivia about history related to the date and location.

Fun & Educational. I discovered MapTap about a month ago and haven’t missed a day since. I compete with a group of family members, including my grandson. I am much better at it once I discovered the “confirm” option. I love the stories attached to each location, they often prompt a deeper dive.

Expand your horizons!. I love MapTap! My geography skills have improved significantly since playing and I learn about histories I never knew I never knew.

Keeps me coming back. Very fun game and keeps me coming back every day. We even have a pool going at work and we compete for best score!

Blown finger. Adult siblings and kids do this together. Lots of fun. One complaint. We call it a blown finger. When you’re expanding a map to get closer, it sometimes interprets that as a touch location, putting your choice thousands of miles off. It happens to me at least 15% of the time and is extremely frustrating.

Undoubtedly the best game on your phone. It’s addictive, competitive, fun to play with friends, and you learn something. I do not know a better win-win-win.

True treasure are the stories at the end!. Love this game, love the stories from each location you unlock at the end even more. Love spending time in different countries learning more about cities and country locations thru the game then learning more about the lives connected with those places, brilliant.

Fun game that combines geography and history. Super fun game. My only frustration is that the Pro upgrade is a subscription. I get it; that’s what everyone is doing now. But I’d be willing to pay $10 one time, but not billed every month

Tap Fun. If you’re some what interested in geography than this is a super fun challenge. Love the history lesson too. My kids and I play every day. Take 5 minutes and actually learn something rather than zoning out on social media sites. Ha!

Sound irritating. Absolutely brilliant and wonderful, a conversation starter but I cannot give it 5 stars because it turns my podcast off, a similarly irritating feature.

Super fun. I really enjoy playing this with family and friends as a mini competition while getting stronger in geography skills. The daily stories are always great to read. My Stats and Today’s Globe provide very interesting feedback. Recent update improved the resolution of the map and now it is much easier to locate particular cities. Always recommending this to others to play, awesome game!

Love it. MapTap is a very interesting and enjoyable game for anyone who loves geography, maps and trivia. The blurbs about each of the 5 daily locations are amazing. My only complaint, and the reason it didn’t get 5 starts from me, is that occasionally users can inadvertently tap a location while trying to move around the globe. Definitely one of my favourite mornings games.

Higher resolution desired. Great game but fuzzy when you zoom in and hard to get accurate pins.

So good…. But. Great game. Can’t get it to work with family sharing. Very frustrating.

Fun game but… very American. The game is fun to test your geography. But what they call easy are these small towns in the states. And they call hard relatively know places in the world. I would not consider Dhaka hard, but Huntsville Alabama!!! Somewhere in Alabama I guess. Also, in the practice maps, Bronx, Brooklyn, Statue of Liberty… they can all be guessed more or less by smacking the finger on Manhattan. It doesn’t zoom close enough to make the difference.

More flags. It is awesome but when you go to practice and scroll down where it says United States it only says capitals and states so they should add flags and make it free. Four stars

Basic. Fun idea but so limited and you can’t even zoom into the map very much, it’s super blurry. Why would I pay more for a really cheap quality game?

Perfect. Geography and History! Two of my favorites combined. Perfect 5-10 minute daily game!

MapTap. Fun except for one annoyance. We play it every day with a group of friends. Fun and uses your brain. But there needs to be a way to redo a misinterpreted tap.

NEEDS A CONFIRM BUTTON. It’s so infuriating when I know where somewhere is but even scrolling causes a misclick! Add a button to confirm the location before submitting and an easy 5 stars because the game is fun but this is a major oversight.

Repetitive locations. I’m sick of seeing India, Mexico, and Japan show up every day. I wish the locations were a lot more varied and representative of the countries of the world and not just population.
