INCREDIBLE. Watched my husband play RD2 on ps5 and was hooked. It was a joy to hear it was available for me on the iPad. I’m a mobile gamer with controllers and this game worked perfectly on my iPad Pro. Spoiler alert —— I got to the part where I’m Jack now! What a surprise! This game is incredible and I hope to play RD2 on iOS one day. Btw… I bought TTWO bc my teen harped about the futures due to GTA. But honestly I may never sell now that I know what I actually purchased. Encor to Rockstar Games and TTWO!! TAKE YOUR TIME COOKIN UP THAT GOOD STUFF!!!

Needs optimization. Red dead redemption mobile needs improvements like optimized graphics fov fps audio crashes glitches and bugs

very good mobile ported version. On the M4 iPad Pro the performance mode can run in full 60 frames, but there is still a little display problem on my device. I don't know why there are sometimes flashing purple lines and white spaced lines at the bottom of the screen. I hope this bug can be fixed in the next version.

Red Dead Redemption. I beat this game probably 5 times growing up. I have started RD2 but have been saving it for a rainy day, to really get into it. RD1 is great because it’s less complex and isn’t as detailed as RD2. It’s great for what it is using the GTA engine. I hope they port over RD2 and make it playable with under a 90gb install. The game play feels good with the touch screen. I will update this review later after I have played through the game.

Fantastic!. Just passed the 50% mark, I’m loving it so far! My only complaint is no cloud storage for save files so I can’t switch from IPad to IPhone with the same progress. Still easily a 5 star game!

Game is a masterpiece on IPhone 12 Pro Max. This game is the same as I remember and it runs just as good as the Nintendo Switch 1 port if not better! It’s a true mobile experience with an amazing open world story game and so much detail and only a 7GB download! 10/10 experience on phone only wish there was achievements but it’s still amazing and more reason to use the cheats the game provides too! Also Controllers are amazing especially the backbone and it includes undead nightmare which is an amazing DLC!

No cloud save or ability to back it up. No ability to cross-save with iPad or even back-up a save manually in a $40 game is absolutely diabolical. Changing phones results in hours of gameplay lost. If iCloud saving isn’t an option at least expose the save to the file system so we can manually back it up or move it. I won’t be spending money on something like this again, absolutely ridiculous and downright disrespectful of the user’s time. iOS gaming could be great, but things like this just make me wish I could request a refund.

Runs amazing and looks amazing, iPhone 17. This is a phenomenal port, everything about it is the same as th original just enhanced and honestly the mobile controls feels nice and responsive. I’d honestly only recommend buying this $40 port if you have an iPhone 16 or better. Not saying this game takes crazy graphics to enjoy just for a more clean experience. If RDR 1 can become a mobile port not sure why they can’t do gta 4 or RDR 2.

It’s not auto save the mission. The game is not even auto save the missions,I had the play the whole mission again after I leave the game.

Please fix the bugs. Love the game it didn’t give me any problems up until the very end when I became the son of the main character and it started lagging and glitching bad I’ll give it 5 stars as soon as you guys fix it thx for the game it’s awesome, till next time partner. Game works amazing. I have a iPhone 13 Pro Max and this game runs flawlessly controls are pretty easy and bring a little challenge if you don’t play mobile games a lot it doing kill my battery like crazy so I recommend

Found a few issues. After completing the last mission, Jack has John's face + unable to complete other missions and lost ALL of my progress after reinstalling the game

Graphics On Par with My RTX 4080 Gaming Rig!🤯. I’d like to congratulate the team for doing an incredible job optimizing this game for mobile! It’s mind blowing they were able to squeeze this massive world into a measly 3GB file. The graphics are stunning and the HDR looks better than it does on my Sony OLED TV! Performance on iPhone Air is smooth, haven’t had any issues. Do yourself a favor and get this game!

Final resources download repeats every time I open the game. Then, I can’t play it. I have 30 gigs of free space on my phone and it only needs 3.74 but says I don’t have enough space. The final resources pack has completed downloading several times but restarts anyway and now decides there isn’t any room. There are dozens of people having the same problem on reddit and nothing is being done about it so I just got robbed of forty bucks. Don’t be like me.

Best game on mobile. Can’t believe rockstar actually did it we actually have Red Dead Redemption on mobile can’t wait to sink endless hours into this game and into Undead Nightmare

We Need GTA IV on mobile!!. One of the best games Rockstar has ever made! I was completely stunned when I seen this game on the mobile App Store. I wish one day they will put GTA IV the definitive edition on mobile as well. I love you Rockstar!

Peak game. I’ve always wanted to play this game since I was little and now I got to finally a chance to play it on mobile and I’ve must say this game is so freakin peak. the graphics and everything else runs so good on my iPhone 16e. Hope Red dead redemption 2 comes to mobile next.

The game is brilliant. This game port is the best mobile game on iOS at the moment IMHO, can’t say that about the downloading method. Progress bar was stuck on zero point on the “Downloading files” step, despite this, you did good Rockstar! Keep it on!

One of the best things this year. The fact that I can relive my childhood ON MY PHONE means everything to me. Now we need more! I'm talking halo CE, gears one, mass effect 3, ASSASSINS CREED BLACK FLAG. Bring more lol.

Amazing. It’s a little bit expensive since I only paid 30 dollars for the 360 version, but it’s worth it to be able to play red dead on the go without having to blow 500 dollars on a switch or a steam deck. Runs great and it looks great too. Controls take a little bit to get used to since it’s touch controls, but I’m hoping to get a backbone controller soon. Anyways it’s definitely worth the purchase and Hopefully GTA IV is next for mobile.

I always wanted to play it at my grandparents' country house, but I never could because I couldn't take my Xbox with me, since there was no electricity back then, and there still isn't. Download every time. What’s the point of downloading this when I can’t play it offline and requires me to download files every time? Disappointed. Technically though, game runs well.

Happy to pay but,. This version does NOT have cloud sync. On the other hand the Netflix version does. Like I said, happy to pay this price as this game is amazing but I very much need cloud sync. Please advise.

Just Buy It…. Is it just Red Dead Redemption(plus dlc) that you can play on your phone anywhere and it runs great? Why yes.. yes it is and I urge you to buy it. This is one of the few times recently where Rockstar has made a good move. Highly recommended

Improvement. The setting could be better on mobile, and more options in the settings for shooting and control . Make a setting about disabling fire button for rotation.

Runs beautifully on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. On my 12in 2020 iPad Pro, not at all.. 3 stars because it runs beautifully on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, while using a controller. Why only 3 stars? Because I bought the game for my 2020 iPad Pro, not my phone. All I get on my iPad is a flashing seizure inducing pixelated start screen and on again off again music. Can’t start the game at all.

Love this game!!. 5 stars! This game is so good, everything about it is perfect!!! I just don’t like how I can’t interact with npcs and it will force me to aim at them. Just imagine how many games like gta iv you could release on mobile, lol

Mobile Games cannot compete. Top 3 video game ever, ported to ios and perfectly optimized. What is there to dislike? $40? Id pay 60 if they could keep this mobile train rolling, there’s no competition.

Cinematic!. I’ve never seen a video game be translated so well on a device that you use in your day-to-day life. You feel like you are in your console with the integration of the graphics being so seamless and nothing really being taken from the end product. Hopefully there’s more games like these to come! We need more cinematic and well-made games for our everyday devices.

Finally!!!. I’m really excited for Red Redemption to come to Apple platforms, and I’m hoping Red Dead Redemption 2 will also come to Mac or iOS, please:)

PLEASE PORT MORE TITLES. Red Dead Redemption runs very smoothly on my iPhone 17 Pro. I have a soft spot for games originally on console to come to mobile. I Can’t wait to enjoy this. Thanks for porting over more classic Rockstar games! Rockstar if you see this, PLEASE port over more games from your incredible library onto mobile. I would pay $70 I do not mind! Would be amazing to see games such as GTA V, GTA IV, and more on mobile as well. Newer iPhones and iPads have the processing power to run more titles from Rockstar. So why not make it happen. Thanks Rockstar you guys rock.

HUGE Redownload BUG needs fixing NOW! DO NOT BUY BEFORE READING! Or ever imho.. -DO NOT BUY THIS GAME EVER!- So there’s a BUG that forces you to have to redownload 3.74GB of the game in order to play almost every couple days to every day. The File size reverts back to 3.01GB. Why do I have to constantly redownload these files? They should either come reinstalled with the game for a full download size or only make us download it once and keep it forever. Why am I being forced to redownload over and over again just to play, making the game unplayable. ROCKSTAR, Fix this MAJOR BUG and I’ll change my review. Otherwise, HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMENT DOWNLOADING OR BUYING THIS GAME! Absolute waste of money.

Not great. Been attempting to play this for a while but is almost impossible to control on a phone, really needs to be played with a controller or adjustments made to game play. Always have to look for what buttons o push on screen rather then muscle memory on a controller

Best game series ever. Kind of tedious to play on the phone, you don’t necessarily get the full effect of mobility. Awesome play through and 10/10 story.

Bring Us More. These are the types of games we need more ports of on iOS. Plays smooth and it’s amazing being able to play this on an airplane! Can play offline and it works great with a controller. Thanks for the great port.

Timeless classic just one issue. This game is a classic and I grew up playing it so there is obviously nostalgia but to cover the mobile side; controls are not too bad takes a little to get used to and the shooting button is right next to the dismount button so it can make intense horseback gunfights a little frustrating but not bad. THE MAIN ISSUE I HAVE IS A GLITCH were occasionally when I open the app to run the game it asks me do an internal download, this is needed initially when you first get it but not afterwards, sometimes it asks for it sometimes it doesn’t. When it does and you try to download it again it never finishes. Resetting the app or my phone does not work. I just come back to it later and it works again fine. So that bug can be annoying when you have a short 15 minutes to get a mission in, but then the download glitch happens and you can’t play in that moment. Otherwise it’s a great game, game itself is 5 stars.

Classic Game. I’m glad they brought this game to mobile, runs great on the iPhone 16 Pro. It has controller support for Bluetooth controllers and it runs just like it does on console. Looks better than it did on Xbox 360 for sure!

It’s alright. Bit of backstory, I’ve never played RDR1 before however I did complete RDR2 For a mobile port, it’s playable. It reminds me of how GTA San Andreas plays, the controls are basic and the graphics are alright but for 40$? Too expensive! I’d pay 10$ for it

Download every time I open. The game keeps prompting me to do an additional download every time I open it. Without doing the download, I can’t get past that screen to play. Not sure why the download keeps deleting on its own and it’s definitely not any setting I have on my phone. I checked it all and I would’ve good to go, seems to be a bug in the game.

A few weird bugs with bluetooth. I have a Gullikit King Kong Pro 2 and some Bose QC 45s. The ISP (at&t) has some weird chinese ITU-T bluetooth UART controller which probably doesn't do bluetooth 5. It seems to affect the ipad's settings with reducing headphone volume, and something really harasses the menu sounds and other things within the game. I have also noticed the headset running google protobuf protocols on firewalls before. Anyways, the vibration or haptic feedback features may be causing issues as they never work correctly.

Worth the Nostalgia. If you truly love RDR and have an iPhone just get it. No mobile game compares to becoming John Marston within seconds from your pocket.

Worth every penny. Legendary game and always worth a replay. The only reasons I am not giving it a full 5 stars is the lack of multiplayer (-1) and the stripped down options menus (-1)

MORE OF THIS!!. Other game devs need to take note: we want old games like this ported to mobile. IT’S A NO-BRAINER!! And even with an older iPhone, this game runs smooth as heck.

Fantastic release, but no cloud saving?!. Game looks and runs amazing, but there’s no cloud saving, or even anyway to transfer save data. I started playing on my phone, then went to play on my iPad, “no save data found!” So I’ve either gotta play on my phone or my iPad, or play a lot of repeating sections. At least make it so I can pull the save data off one device and transfer it to another. Right now, if you delete the game, it’s all gone.

Best Story in a Video Game. Really surprised to see this come onto iOS. Even though the original game was released in 2010, it still remains one of the best videos games ever made, with one of the best stories ever written in a video game.

I’ve always loved the red dead franchise since I discovered 1 year ago I just bought this game today after finding out it was now put on the App Store I own red dead revolver red dead redemption 1 & 2 on my PlayStation and let me tell you I could never be more happy to finally have the game on mobile it beats talking at recess and lunch at high school when you can just hide ur phone and play if not the best western! Ever

A Dream Come True. Who would have thought all those years ago we would have such a remarkable game available on phones & Ipads. First of all it runs pretty smoothly on the M4 1TB IPad & 17 Pro Max and have not come across any bugs so far, So aces. Onto the problems, there’s no exist to the menu, no cross save from PC, almost zero options to customise graphics and the resolution seems to have a cap but doesn’t tell what resolution that is. I’d personally like to push the hardware a little more. An additional ability to save at any point out of combat would be further desirable given a lot of people have to quickly close the game. Otherwise, stellar port and I can only hope someday we’re playing RDR2 on our phones.

Update needed. Bought the paid RDR mobile for iPad Air M3. Game is locked at 30 FPS with no Performance option, while older iPad Air M1 can do 60 FPS. Ridiculous — please add a frame-rate option or support for M3. Feels like a needless downgrade.

Up date bounty bugs. Sometimes the bounty disappears or bounty npc disappears on the ground

Fps. There is no 60 fps in this version too if you are playing Netflix version then just go with it don’t spend your money on this.

Great port but.... why is there no online save sync in GTA Remasters or this? why was there save sync in Netflix versions?

No quick save / auto resume. Quick save should’ve been added with mobile. This means you have to manually go to a bed and save your game before you close the application. There might be a way to force a quick save but it’s not immediately available to an average player

No iCloud saves in 2025. Back in 2012 we’ve already get iCloud saves in vice city mobile but now in 2025 we ain’t get it in rdr mobile , what a progress they’ve made!
