MenuFit - Healthy Eating Out Comments & Reviews 2026
Great idea, but barely performs as advertised.. I really wanted to like MenuFit, but the app completely misses the mark for anyone serious about tracking macros accurately. My biggest complaint is that you cannot properly customize your overall macro targets. Even worse, changing your weight goals barely seems to affect the recommended calories or macros at all. You can set drastically different goals and still receive nearly identical recommendations, which makes the personalization feel superficial and unreliable. Another frustrating issue is that adjusting the meal-level macro targets appears to do almost nothing. The suggested meals are often nowhere near the targets you set, making it feel like the app is not even referencing its own settings when generating recommendations. At that point, the app struggles to perform the most basic functions it advertises. The recommendations feel generic rather than personalized, especially for anyone following a high-protein, fitness-focused, or performance-based nutrition plan. Overall, the app may work for casual users who just want general meal ideas, but for anyone serious about bodybuilding, fat loss, athletic performance, or accurate macro tracking, there are much better options available.
Great but could use some changes!. I love this idea and I think it has some amazing easy ready to go meal order to fit perfectly into your goals and to ease the stress of eating out! But I do wish I could search a restaurant and see all the suggested meals and calories instead of having to scroll through the home page with them all mixed. If you could have the home page set up for each individual restaurant to filter that would be AMAZING
I feel my best. This app honestly makes eating healthier way easier when going out. I like that it shows healthier options instead of having to search everything up myself. The layout is simple, fast, and easy to understand. Definitely helpful if you’re trying to eat better, track calories, or just find decent meals at restaurants without wasting time. One of the better food apps I’ve used for sure.
PAY WALL / REQUIRES PAYMENTS. You go through all these customization questions only to find out there’s a subscription requirement to even access the app itself. I mean literally the app itself. You cannot bypass it. There is no free version. No free trial. Nothing. You just answer their questions then you pay to get into the app at all. Not giving an opinion on if it’s worth it or not to pay for the app because this misleading nature was enough to turn me away from ever using the app regardless. If it were available on the AppStore as an app you have to pay for, fine, that’s not misleading but having it (and advertising it) appear you don’t need to pay to use the app is false advertising, misleading, and all around a scam. Do better. If you have to lie or mislead to trick people into downloading and using your app, you need to make a better app.
Works ok. It takes you through the questions of see what you like and dislike, then proceeds to only provide suggestions of things you dislike. I initially wanted to write this off because I do not like seafood and seafood is best for weight loss, but it also suggested soda which I indicated I do not like. It is helpful at helping you narrow the menu down to low calorie options though, just not worth paying for.
Good product/bad subscription process. They will tell you in three days they will remind you if you want to cancel your subscription. This is a lie. The app does what’s advertised however if you are unsure if you want the subscription, set your own reminders. Unfortunately, for me, I used Apple Pay so now I cannot download any apps until I have purchased the subscription that I do not want. All because I canceled a day late
Waiting Game. The initial loading and wait time is annoying. Most of the time I can go on the website to look up healthy meals or do a quick search on google or even tik tok to find low calorie options before it’s done even fixing restaurants let alone finding menus. Once you get the data it’s great but if you’re out with your friends in a hurry and saying “oh please wait, I’m just trying to find a low calorie option and my app is stuck on the loading screen” as they are screaming at the drive through.
Forced reviews? Trash.. They push you to submit a review before you have used the app and definitely before they hit you with a garbage subscription charge. Didn’t even bother finishing the set up after 10 minutes of answering question, after question, after question. Not even to mention all the garbage AI generated pictures. I’m not even convinced a single person on their Instagram is real. Most of them are just green screen, pointing and nodding or incredibly obviously reading of some script. The whole thing reeks of a scam.
Exactly what I’ve been looking for. I was very skeptical about the app at first. However, after using it during the trial period, I decided to continue using it. It allows you the ability to personalize options that best for your lifestyle. I chose weight loss and muscle gain. So, whenever I’m at a restaurant, I pull up the app and enter where I’m at. The app then creates two options for me from the menu, one for weight loss and another for muscle gain. I use it no matter which restaurant I am at. As of yet, I have not gone to a restaurant in which it can not pull the menu.
Great While It Worked. I got the app sometime around march 13th and got the free trial so i was using the app as normal looking for more protein packed meals and the app itself is great and easy to use but at the end of my trial it kicked me out, wouldnt load back in, so i deleted it and signed back in and it wouldnt sign me in. is it not possible to use the app for the most basic tasks ? i just want more meals that have protein or are better for me since i eat out a lot, this greedy app wants you to pay for literally everything in it it seems. update : march 20th got it back, decided to pay and as usual went back to the restaurants near me and half the items are not on the menu and the hours are wrong on some places. if im paying for an app i need it to be as perfect as possible.
Love it!. So I’m on a weight loss journey right now so I prefer to eat at home but eating out is unavoidable and I always get stressed about choosing something that’s not going to ruin my progress, as I’m counting calories. This app is great! Haven’t been to a restaurant that is not found on the app even small mom and pop ones. Gives me healthy options to choose from but even if I don’t pick those it lets me know the calories and micros for other menu options, even how to make those menu options healthier! Which helps me be able to track my calorie intake. Yes it’s not free which seems to be the biggest complaint but what is these days. I think the cost is reasonable and I’m willing to pay for help to be able to stick with my goals.
Trendy cash grab dressed up as a fitness app. You can’t even use the app without signing up for a subscription. They market this app as an easier way to make healthy choices at restaurants but almost all of the restaurants are fast food or fast casual. I was genuinely curious about what this app had to offer, and would have even considered paying for it, but I can’t even demo it without an in app purchase. Literally just use ChatGPT, google, or common sense to make better decisions. You don’t need to waste time and money on this garbage.
No price is clear until you put in a lot of info and agree to a free trial…. I saw this in an online ad and thought to try it. While you can do a free trial, they aren’t upfront about what the cost will be after the free trial. I had put in a bunch of food preferences and an email before I got to the part where it tried to sign me up for the free trial, and with no info about what to expect if I agreed to that, I bounced out and decided not to use the app. Just be straightforward and let me know what the commitment is to use the app’s full features. If you’re not, I am not proceeding even with a free trial.
So Inaccurate. I explored this app for a few minutes after downloading. In those few minutes I came across several inaccuracies. 1) For one restaurant, is suggesting swapping the fries for a side salad. That sounds reasonable except that restaurant doesn’t serve fries at all. So if the app thinks it does, then that is probably impacting its macro and calorie count, making it inaccurate. 2) For another local restaurant (a Chinese restaurant) it was showing a Mexican menu and giving Mexican dish recommendations. That was completely wrong. 3) For one dish, it had it listed as 620 calories. I asked its AI feature how many calories were in that dish and it said 700. So which is it? The app isn’t internally consistent. I deleted it because in 5 minutes it proved to be very unreliable.
Deceptive app clearly incorrect in caloric information. Honestly, the potential is there but this app clearly is wrong on their calories. For example - I chose a chick fil a order of 12 ct nuggets, medium fries and a diet lemonade in the menu fit app and cross referenced with the chick fil a app. Menu fit said it was 540 calories whereas chick fil a shows it’s actually 860. This is no small inaccuracy when it comes to weight loss. If this was a smaller chain I might understand but all of this information is readily available for them to update their app accordingly - huge oversight on their part.
Outdated options. I had high hopes for this app, but a lot of this seems to be AI generated and in that a lot of food options it suggests is outdated. I tested this with McDonald’s and it suggested to get the Grilled Chicken sandwich which hasn’t been a menu option for some time. As someone on the go with two kids I was really looking forward to using this app and sharing it with friends, but because of this I can’t justify doing that as of now
Deceptive sign on. I don’t mind paying for apps. But when you have to go through a ton of questions, picking your favorite restaurants, putting in your weight and goal weight, and giving an email/creating an account, and THEN they tell you that you must pay for the app to use it. That’s a no from me brother. Just be up front “hey this app is $35 a year, want to continue?” at the beginning or you seem super scammy. I would have purchased this but won’t be because of the scammy sign up style.
Relax on the Reviews. App popped up on my feed and thought it was definitely worth checking out. Ultimately downloaded it and started filling out the forms. Long story short, I have now been asked THREE times if “I’m loving the app?!” And I haven’t even been able to use it! Developers… Fix this. Absolutely horrible experience for a new user.
Pretty good, price estimate on every recommended meal would be ideal. Pretty good so far. I would have loved the Muscle Building options and the healthiest options to also have the price included because I’d probably pick the cheaper one out of those 2 categories instead of the affordable options since those aren’t as beneficial to my goals. Also, the user has to be patient, but I understand the need to reload every time since Menus change.
Exactly What I Needed to Eat Better. Menu Fit makes eating healthy so much easier. It shows you the healthiest options at any restaurant, so you don’t have to spend time guessing or tracking. I love how quick it is just open the app, pick where you’re eating, and it tells you what to order. Super helpful if you’re trying to stay on track but still want to eat out.
Decent but a few personal issues. App is pretty decent, has a good knowledge of restaurant menus and healthy options, a good app to help lose a few pounds while not pertaining to a strict expensive diet. However I have a few personal issues. I’m a bit disappointed that you are confined to a paywall and can’t use the app AT ALL without subscribing. I would’ve appreciated at least a free but restricted version of the app so that I don’t have to pay just to open the app. I’m also not too thrilled that the app is plagued by AI generated “art.” All of the icons for the restaurants are completely AI generated, which is strange because if it looks enough like the actual logo, they could just… use the actual logo. Even the app icon is AI, which just feels lazy and sloppy. Overall it’s generally excusable because the app does what it’s advertised, just behind a paywall and AI art.
Another fee. I love the idea of helping other people and encouraging others to be healthy and all that because a lot of people really do struggle with the motivation to be healthy, but like I feel like people should be helping out because they want to not because they want to make profit off of it almost every single healthy app that I've downloaded or tried calls for me to pay for it and that's just a demeanor that makes people who struggle with the journey to weight loss feel even more hopeless and give them another reason not to do it they have a good idea. I'll give it that but not something that I would pay for.
Totally recommend to anyone who eats out a lot!!. Normally I wouldn’t pay for subscriptions to anything weight loss related, but this app was something I hadn’t seen before so I decided to start a free trial. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do. I’ve always struggled with balancing losing weight and eating out, but this made it SO easy, and it’s very simple to use. It makes hitting my goals a lot easier, it helps for restaurants that don’t have calories on their menu, and it even had me realizing a lot of foods I like are way lower in calorie than I’d realized before! Honestly it’s just a really great app and i definitely recommend it to anyone who eats out a bit and wants to be healthier.
App is awesome but……. App is really great, except it started throwing errors about 30 minutes after I downloaded it. So I swiped it closed to restart, and it had totally forgotten me and tried to charge me another yearly fee. I said that last part because I liked it so much that I had already paid for the year. So now I don’t know how to get back in without paying again. Please help.
Gets your hopes up. Surprise paywall.. Tricks you and makes you feel good about the app and asks you all these questions. Even asks you to give a review and rating before THEN telling you it’s a paid service. So sick and tired of these apps being so deceitful about membership fees. If they were upfront about it maybe I would consider it. Be aware that some of these reviews happened before the people even used the app or found out it was a paid membership.
Not totally accurate. This seems to work well for chain restaurants. I looked up a local restaurant which the app found and analyzed the menu. It had some of the items, but many items weren’t even items on this restaurants menu. I clicked out, went back in, and it gave me entirely different options for what was best for me and it was a different menu. The app is certainly a great idea, but for someone who doesn’t like fast food chains and is looking to use it as local restaurants, I think some work needs to be done. Glad I had a trial to figure that out.
Requires subscription. I hate these fitness things that require you to give all your information eluding that their is no payment at the front. But you get all of the way to the end, they capture all of your information, then they hide everything behind a paywall. I don’t mind payment - we pay for my fitness pal and other fitness apps. It should be illegal to capture information & then require payment. Payment requirements should be expressed upfront before information is collected.
Some info, but not as advertised. Example, it will recommend several meals from the fast food place you select but the macro description is “moderate amount of calories with decent protein and balanced fat and carbs. It seem to go out of its way to not give you macro number data. After asking the built in AI 4 different ways it gave me the info, so it has the info. Not sure why it doesn’t display it with the recommendations, or a drop down for a cleaner look. Just subjective words is not helpful
Good for fast food. This app is good if you are eating fast food and want to be healthy. But if you are trying to be healthy. You’re likely not eating a lot of fast food. I travel for a living and thought this would be great. Paid for a year of service. First 3 restaurants I went to had incorrect and inaccurate menu items. The fourth restaurant didn’t exist in the app. Over the course of 2 months, it has not gotten better. I can count on one hand and have fingers left over the number of times this app has supplied reliable info. Again, fast food seems to be on point. If you eat fast food a lot this would be a good app.
Almost Super Great. I really like the options it provides for nearby restaurants. I wish that for the options it provided after analyzing the menu, it gave the option to show the macros. Great ideas but want to know how they fit in my overall diet. Easier way to get this information would be the best. I mean at any point in the app and not through a convoluted couple of steps
Needs a Human Touch. I got this app and subscribed and tried out for a few days. I thought it would be nice as someone who eats out a lot, but this app really just feels like a recycled AI. The options it continuously gave me were child sized portions as the best “low calorie options”. As someone who’s dieted a lot, this isn’t helpful information. The app should be prioritizing meals that are low in calorie while being high in protein and fiber to keep you full for longer. It should also consider substitutions/changes to lower overall calorie count. This will help most people order meals that will keep them satiated for hours. A child size burger won’t do that. I hope this app will receive the changes it needs because when I used it, it was far from perfect.
Inaccurate Calorie Counts. I downloaded this app to try and have easy access to low calorie options at fast food places. I usually check calories on my own before ordering, but I wanted a way to shake things up and get some different ideas from what I usually order. Unfortunately, I used this app twice and the calorie counts were completely off both times. Once at Tazikis (Mediterranean cafe in the south) and once at McDonalds. Both times, the calorie counts for the meals I had selected were off by over 200 calories compared to the restaurant’s website. Both times, MenuFit advertised the meals as lower calories than they actually were. At Tazikis this was a 28% error and at McDonalds it was a 40% error. This is extremely disappointing for an app whose entire purpose is to promote healthy eating at fast food. A 200 calorie difference every time you eat at a restaurant will add up extremely quickly. I could not justify continuing to use this app (or especially to pay for the app) when both of my attempts to use it had been completely useless. I would like to see MenuFit adjust their calories to be accurate to what is published by the restaurant.
If you only want fast food. This app is honestly pretty frustrating to use. Every time I try to look up a restaurant, the menu is either completely wrong or missing a bunch of items. It feels like the information is outdated or only partially uploaded. Unless you’re searching for a big chain or fast food place, don’t expect to find anything accurate. Most local restaurants either aren’t there at all or have incomplete menus, which defeats the whole purpose of the app. I really wanted this to be helpful, but it just isn’t reliable. There’s no point in using a menu app if you can’t trust the menus. Definitely needs major improvement.
Great app but needs calorie/ macros in search. This app is very good and shows you great options at every restaurant but when you go to restaurants in the search section when they recommend food options they don’t show you the calories or macros of those recommended food items but I think that would be a great addition to the app
Some annoying features. My biggest issue is, the start up home screen. The app opens to a subscription page. There’s a button for a free trial or monthly options. As a paid subscriber, I have to navigate to the greyed out “restore” button at the top right. At first I thought I needed to subscribe again, and almost did. I wonder how many others have made that same mistake. I get it, you want people to subscribe. But many apps allow a paid subscriber to bypass that screen and just opens to the main page. Like I said, just frustrating and annoying.
PLEASE READ BEFORE USING. I don’t usually write reviews, but I make an exception. I always had trouble staying consistent with eating healthy. Menufit made me finally stick with my goals. App gives me suggestions about what to order in every restaurant I love. The app is first of its kind. I feel better about myself and progress that I make day to day. Literally a life changer.
Not worth the money. They are really just taking advantage of people that don’t know anything about nutrition it saids that it’s personalize but it really not it makes the most basic changes like switching fries for apple slices instead of a double burger & just 1 cheese slice or actually modifications, it’s just really !!! Basic not what I was expecting at all. Why pay for this when you can look at the menu online & decided for yourself because that it’s literally all that this app it’s doing.
Scam. I was charged $50 before I had a fair chance to cancel, and neither Apple nor the developer will issue a refund. I even talked with the CEO which seemed like he wanted to help, but then no response… The app does not deliver what is in its description. Functionality is extremely limited. I can search on Google and get the same information. This is a misleading product paired with poor customer service. Save your money and avoid this app. Now let’s see their fake response.
Not great. Lots of better apps out there. Load time is really slow, which they hide with not great graphics. Then the “for me” section is pretty awful, and the screens back and forth are not great to navigate. I’m guessing 4.8 stars average is a fair number of paid for reviews. Also $32/year or $6/week? That tells you what they’re doing, which is just extracting max value when a lot of folks think “$32 sounds great by comparison”, then stop using it a week later because it’s not a well designed app.
Life Changing But Not Perfect. Updated Review: This app used to be great and convenient. It recently got a major update and it absolutely broke the app. Unless you’re looking into the menu of a popular chain restaurant, it will be impossible to find the options you need for a local spot. The one function for the app is now completely gone. It has one job and it failed at it. Old Review: MenuFit is so convenient in browsing menu options that match your fitness goals. It’s really simple and easy to navigate. My only problem is that it isn’t always accurate with certain menus for niche restaurants, and it doesn’t show you the macros for the ‘top recommended’ items in select restaurants. Example: Chick Fil A recommended meals shows me the macros without needing to find them in the ‘menu’ tab, but with any local or niche location it often just shows me the recommended meals but no macros in the same page. I have to look for the items separately. Hopefully they fine tune this program. Other than that, very convenient and extremely helpful in finding new favorites. Recommended for sure!
Really like it but could be improved. I love the concept and the execution is pretty well done. I’d be remised to not mention how beneficial it would be to pair this with other apps like MyFitnessPass and Cronometer. The ability to select a suggested meal and have the macros saved in a tracking app would be really useful. Would also really like to recommend allowing a water only suggestion for drinks.
The usual. it’s the usual app where they lower you in with a very well-made app very well-made set up process to help you lose fat and gain protein very well all round made app. But then once you get done filling out all their stuff of course they want you to pay a monthly subscription instead of being the rightful advertisement that they advertise where it’s a free Health fitness app but of course no they’re just like every app they want you to pay a subscription. horrible.
Love the idea but still needs work. This has a lot potential but after just a few minutes playing with already seeing issues: No ability to change macro targets? Suggested menu items don’t show the calories/macros for the suggestion? What’s the point then? Also menu items for some restaurant near me seem clearly incorrect. (Smaller chains).
BEWARE! No customer support!! They will charge you even if trial is canceled. I signed up for the free trial. I went through the whole process of the app answering all those ridiculous questions and realized that the app wasn’t for me. So I canceled the trial the same day that I signed up for it. Now I am being charged $32 even though I canceled the trial. I have emailed several times and no one is responding. I will be filing a claim with my bank account. So beware do not sign up for any kind of trial because you will still be charged.
Partially Helpful. I downloaded this app based on a recommendation of my doctor to help find healthier choices when eating out. Helpful for some chain restaurants but not for local restaurants. I agree with some of the reviews here where at some restaurants, the menu is totally made up. For example, a local BBQ restaurant with a pretty simple menu in the restaurant but in this app, there were 10+ sophisticated appetizers (none of which were on the menu at the BBQ restaurant) and entrees that were not even BBQ related like a Vietnamese dish. None of the menu items listed in this app for that BBQ restaurant were available at the restaurant. None of the menu items in the restaurant are available in this app for that restaurant name. I would just rather the app say that the restaurant is not available.
Non-existent customer support!!. I downloaded this app for the reason everyone else has. I thought the app was decent but don’t want to pay for it as I don’t eat out very often. They charged my account before I could cancel (my bad) but when trying to contact them through the app for a possible refund it said ‘mail not configured. Please configure a mail account on this device’ not sure what that means to be honest but I have email on my phone and my email is on the account. So I looked up their support email and emailed them a WEEK ago. Still no response. The account I use for my subscriptions is just for that, I don’t keep money in it until I need to pay for one, that being said it’s jammed up my Apple account so I can’t download or update anything. Even after putting money in there the charge won’t go through. So yeah, not happy at all. Don’t expect a response if you have problems.
Misleading. It’s really frustrating when apps waste your time by making you fill out a bunch of information just to tell you that you have to subscribe to their plan to use the app. I was excited to try this as someone constantly on the go who eats out almost daily, but not worth paying for. It’s free to just go on the restaurant apps and look at their nutrition facts and substitutions. Also, what’s with the AI? You’re not adding anything of value if I can just ask chatgpt and get the same results.
Great customer support. Loving the app so far! I had one issue but was able to reach out via Instagram and they were super responsive and got the issue fixed quickly. Looking forward to what other features they’ll be adding.
Was enjoying the app. My honest opinion: before the update, I was enjoying the app a lot because it was simple to use. You could just select the place you wanted, and it would quickly show the best options. After the update, I set and saved my macro preferences, but it doesn’t seem to consistently follow those settings. The new system feels a bit excessive and less straightforward than before. I personally preferred the older version because it was much simpler and more user-friendly. Before the update, I would have rated this app 5/5, but at the moment I’m not enjoying it as much, so I would rate it 3/5.
Scam. I signed up for the three day free trial and forgot to cancel. After the three days, they charged me for the most expensive plan through the app. They didn’t even give me an option for what plan I got. Their customer service email is out of service and all the emails that I sent them just to come right back to me. I tried messaging them on Instagram and I haven’t heard back from them either. It seems like this company just banks on you forgetting to cancel your membership. There’s not even that many options for low-calorie meals in the app. There’s only three. Misleading ‘free trial’. Fraudulent app. Charged me the whole year after stating I would receive a week free trial. Charge stated $0.00 on purchasing however immediately my card was charged the full year. I immediately requested a refund which was rejected - Apple states is a developer issue, and the developer just defers to Apple. On top of this, the nutrition information for Australian places isn’t accurate nor is there enough to actually be worthwhile.
Of course it’s hidden behind a pay wall. Why would anyone choose to pay for this when you can look it up on the internet for free
728. Guudsossss
Paywall. Doesn’t tell you until the end of the survey that you have to pay a subscription🙄
Subscription based. Makes you go through a massive process just to tell you that you need a subscription. Don’t waste your time
“We want you try menufit for free” followed by an immediate paywall. Ai slop
Another paywall app. I’m tired of these apps that require you to enter your email and do a monthly / annual payment. Just let me see see the fricking protein on a fricking burrito
DO NOT EVEN DOWNLOAD. BRO IF U DON’T WANNA PAY A SOME MID APP THAT U HAVE TO PAY FOR, U COULD LOWKEY SAVE SOME STORAGE SPACE ON UR DEVICE AND INSTEAD SEARCH IT UP ON GOOGLE OR SAFARI OR SMTH

Paywall. Classic paywall with fake personalized assistant.
Waste of my time. They make you do a whole process of answering questions just to hit you with a payment plan next.
Paywall app. Don’t download.
Not free. Makes you answer a bunch of questions before telling you you need to enroll in the free trial before even seeing anything. Annoying, let me at least see a free version of the app (I don’t like free trials) before I make my mind up.
Waste of time. Wasted my time with the questions then asking 30 bucks. Just be upfront about it. I hate subscription apps. Can’t give 30-100 bucks every year for these niche apps that I’ll rarely use. But these app devs don’t understand that.
Deceptive advertising for a slow piece of garbage. The app will have you go through a long questionnaire before prompting you to pay or get a free trial which is pretty standard fare. What isn’t however is having the free trial disable itself without notifying you if you select a monthly plan instead of a lifetime plan. On top of that, the questionnaire is seemingly useless except for the section about protein preferences. It tells you before you pay that it has already calculated everything for you but when you click on a restaurant, it sends you to a loading screen that takes what feels like an artificially long period of time to “calculate” everything. So either the hardware is straight garbage and it takes that long to scan a menu, or it’s a completely fake loading screen to keep you on the app longer. Either way not a good look. Overall didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know, would have canceled my free trial if I wasn’t tricked out of it so instead I will be disputing the charge with my bank. Me telling you here to eat the chicken dish instead of the beef dish to lose fat will save you the $12.99 because that’s all the app does.
Waist of time. Filled out all the answered just so it could shove a 3 year pay plan in my face horrible app
Essaie gratuit mais te charges automatiquement 13$. 😆
Waste and another paywall. Makes you answer what feels like a 100 questions and personal information to finally present you a paywall. App is useless and cannot function without. Don’t bother downloading and you’ll save the 15 minutes I spent setting it up for nothing.
AI Garbage. Unfortunately this app obviously uses AI and it has wildly inaccurate listings. There is one restaurant I love that has a nutritional menu - I looked for a sandwich I frequently get on it and it’s listed as around 500 calories, the app lists it as 1900. The app also listed a different menu item at 1900 grams of carbs. I would not trust it.
Waste of time. It’s says it has every restaurant in the world but it’s only fast food restaurants. Ridiculous!!!
I deleted it when it asked me to pay for a stupid subscription. Terrible app
Give free version. Let people know that it’s paid to even try it before making me fill everything out..
Cash grab app. Thought it was going to be an actually helpful app but makes you sign up just to pay
Waste of time. They use the classic, here’s 17 steps to get your preferences, set a menu, find your goals to waste your time then to proceed after burning 5 minutes make you pay 40 bucks for the subscription to use the product. Shouldn’t be allowed, the app should be listed for x dollars, not showing free “with in app purchases” yet have no options to use without paying.
Horrible app. The app only recommended me fast food unhealthy restaurants and you know it’s bad when you get 99% healthy for a McDonald’s burger. Simply calculating macros based on your weight and height (thus BMI) is not enough at all and the fact that the only option is door dash (no Uber Eats) is even worse. The app takes forever to work, often glitches. Don’t waste money!!!
Waste of time paid app. I saw this app on Facebook and thought I would try it out. two minutes into the app you have to pay and you can’t even see anything the app offers. I’m not starting a three day trial just to see what your app has, at least give me something.
Horrible app. What’s the point of making me fill out a whole survey just to ask for me to pay, never using again.
Behind a paywall. Not worth it
They took my money. They said I would have a week free trial to try the app then it would charge me after a week. I clicked sure and they charged me $30 right then and there
You NEED a subscription. Don’t waste your time downloading it . You just through all the hops only to have them push a “free trial” and then charge you for a subscription . How about you just make it a paid app
No notice of renewal. Subscriber beware even though they say they will let you know that they're going to renew the subscription. They do not I was charged for a full year without any notification.
Super misleading. It makes you fill out a super long questionnaire before letting you know that you’ll have to pay up. Not cool
Waste of time. No clue where the 4.6 stars come from everything is behind a paywall after spending 10 minutes answering questions AI slop ad load of junk
Do Not Install This App. You have to pay for it and can do research yourself Do Not Waste Your MONEY!!!!!
Don’t get. Waste of time you fill out a bunch of questions it asks you to pay for something chat gpt can give you for free. Waste of money
Not for everybody. I took the time to go beyond the paywall and actually try the app : it’s not that useful in the end. Thinking about it, it just kinda stated the obvious. You guys know what you need to eat to get more in shape, less carb more protein so just add meat and slack off sauces and sides. -1 star the app is entirely Ai made.
Ai slop cash grab. There’s not much to say about it, it’s so badly made it doesn’t even seem to use your location data to find restaurants for real. Also the meal options are the same whatever options you choose and it asks very intrusive questions about your health. It’s also full of ai slop content to the point where I wouldn’t be surprised if the app itself was made using ai code.
"Free trial". Charges my account for free trial even though says "no payment due now" and now has made it so i cannot download any apps on the app store. Terrible
Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!
Tired of checking Insta. Glad to have this goldmine all in one place! I was tired of doing back to the gram and scrolling trying to find each place’s best order!
Doesn’t even work. I think it’s a cool app, very cool. But I can’t even use it! I purchased the yearly subscription, it worked fine then I closed out and came back in. I couldn’t even restore purchases it said I didn’t have an account or a subscription. It’s very broken and has a long way to go. I’d either like a refund or I want the issue fixed asap. They need a support team.
Misleading. Not a good start to the experience. They ask you a bunch of questions, take your personal information, build you a profile, and then get your email address…then, after all that, they to move forward you have to pay money. I was wanting a free resource that I could upgrade if I saw value in it. But now they have an account built for me and have my personal email address and I got nothing out of it.
Requires subscription. Just got back with working out and seen a few videos mention this app, i downloaded it liking the idea and turns out it requires a monthly subscription to use. There’s no free option or anything with ads. I’m not in a place where I can afford a subscription monthly so I can know what to order every rare opportunity I can go eat out.
Needs More Filter Options. Should make it so you can filter which restaurant you want to eat at for the “suggested meals” tab. Choosing the exact foods that you want is good, but sometimes I want to specially see suggested meals from X restaurant.
Spectacular. User friendly, easy to use, can’t believe this hasn’t existed before! Helps me get on track to what I want to eat and helps me stay organized. Would recommend.
Unless you wanna pay don’t bother.. I hate apps like this that make you go through all the customization and then make you sign up for a subscription. There’s not even a free version with ads or something . There’s a free trial, but you still have to put in all your card information to even get that. Kinda sick of everything needing to be a subscription.
Sign up. Literally cannot sign up if you’re on apple family. It tries to use Apple family card which I am not trying to use, even if you do use the Apple family card, takes so many loops and you have to contact the organizer. I want to sign up manually through app but absolutely no option to do so. So I can’t even use the app
PLEASE. The app is overall really good , made my cheat days so easy but I’m really begging to the creator of this app, PLEASE PUT THE MACROS, I paid for the whole year membership and it’s worth it but I really REALLY need the macros of everything or I won’t be able to track my diet properly:(
Wasted my time. Said canes had a grilled tender sandwich combo, gave me the macros and everything. I’d never seen that on the menu but assumed I just didn’t know you could asked for it grilled. Canes worker acted like I was dumb for asking and I had to wait the whole line to get out of the drive thru. Everything on this app is AI generated, and AI hallucinates. I’m sure it works sometimes, but the one time I tried to use it after subscribing it hallucinated. Waste of time and money.
READ!. As of right now, the app keeps loading for a long time and then ends up crashing on me and completely restarting. Hopefully this gets fixed soon!
Making me pay for a cancelled subscription. I tried out the free trial and cancelled the subscription. It has been trying to charge my account for the past 2 weeks but I make sure I don’t have enough money available for it to go through. Now I can’t download any apps because the payment hasn’t gone through. This needs to stop now.
Paywall no free ad option. Figured this would be better than my fitness pal but a “free trial” is short for hopefully they don’t notice and will give us a quick $30 that they’ll use the app for a week, I’ll stick with an app I can use and access with out a annual fee and free trial to keep track of and if I choose to use more features I can pay. Their annual fee is double and I’m not mad at it like this app. Such a waste of time.
Trash AI app. Not only do they have you go through like ten mins of set up and account creation to then have you pay before continuing BUT also you can clearly tell that everything in the app just prompts a backend language model. The reviews are fake, everything in the app is AI generated (sloppily) this app will die in less than 3 months because it's not good at all. Not serious for people who are concerned about their health
Ai slop. I heard about this app, and it sounded like an amazing tool to use. Upon downloading it, I am immediately greeted with AI generated images. This just screams to me that the developers of this app will prioritize doing something cheaply and quickly over doing it right. If you are someone who prioritizes things made by people for people, this app is not for you. I’m ecstatic to find a replacement option.
Not free and for what is it come on. Makes you fill out information most likely to sell your data because who is paying $10 for this subscription without even getting a free trial wouldn’t even bother putting in my card info for what this app offers quick money grab I can see potential of a larger company copying this and making it free 7x this
Healthy. I like the way they personalized my menu. I have Diabetes type 2 and this will be my hand right at the moment to order food without doubt.
Full of Ai & made up menus. All clearly uses Ai as much as possible. To the images, the in app Ai, and I’m sure they use it to curate the menu for you. The app also just makes up menu items that aren’t on the menu. For example, Canes has like 3 menu items and they showed Canes having burgers and suggesting that’s what I should eat from there. Plus you gotta pay a subscription. This app has great marketing but I don’t recommend it.
AI Slop. Make you pay a monthly subscription just to use the app. Then the app just gives you incorrect info about calories and macros. Like any AI generated information, none of this should be taken as fact without verifying yourself, which defeats the entire purpose of this app. All encompassed in a bunch of AI-generated slop pictures and icons.
Helpful. I’m lazy, and work is annoying. This does help make it easy to choose what to grab for lunch when I don’t have food from home. It does what it says it does, and it works!
App Review. I love the fact that the app allows for suggestions for healthy options when you do decide to eat out.
Helpful!. Really helpful and easy to use app! They do take your money for the full year once your free trial is up so if you want it, be prepared for the full amount ( like 25 ish dollars)
hmm. Could be better, I tried using the free week trial but still charged me when trying to get it. Definitely would’ve gave it more stars also it’s a good app I enjoy it for the most part I just think they could tweak it more as in customization for example picking exactly how much calories I want to eat in a day
A good idea but the app doesn’t work. It’s a good concept and works great for the fast food and chain restaurants. But it had the calories completely wrong for magiannos and was showing me calories for split portions of the family size meal and had the drink calories listed differently then on the website. I wouldn’t mind these glitches if it was a free app but not worth paying for.
Knowledge is power. This app helps you with select more healthy options for the restaurant you are at. I am trying to cut weight and still enjoy the restaurant I enjoy.
First Impressions. So far I’m enjoying how easy and clear it is to navigate through the app and the option selections they have. Amazing work!! I found them on Instagram 😊 love the videos 👏👏🫶
Huge waste of time. This app is wildly inconvenient and it just gives you a few options based on what you want. If you want to do any customization, it’s basically impossible and if you wanna search by category like breakfast, you can filter by restaurants. You might as well just use ChatGPT and it’ll give you the same exact information with more customization
Brilliant!. MenuFit is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for to be able to enjoy eating out! It removes the stress of finding the most macro friendly options. Genius! Well worth the price!
Restaurant options. I have not found a restaurant (& I have looked during my travels) that has not popped up in the app. The menus might be old, but I’m guessing that is what the restaurant has in the web.
Decent service, same practices. Decent enough for what I was expecting however has the same rug pulls of you having to reach out to customer support to cancel subscriptions and only giving you the 7 free trial if you sign up for annual which seems predatory
Ai cash grab app. This is yet another scummy app on the AppStore that makes you fill out a 5 minute survey just to tell you that you need to pay to continue using the app. I would not trust this app with any amount of my money, from what I’ve seen on the other reviews, it completely makes up calories and is completely fake, relying on its AI to get everything right. Would not recommend
How does menu fit stand out?. Menu Fit offers a solid foundation for meal planning, but in today’s landscape—where advanced AI tools are widely accessible and often free—it faces stiff competition. With other platforms delivering similar functionality and broader capabilities at little to no cost, Menu Fit must differentiate itself to remain competitive.
Has potential. The app has potential but it really is only accurate for chain restaurants. I was excited to see some local restaurants on there but not a single one was accurate and some just wouldn’t work in general. One place nearby had something listed as 88 calories and 320g of protein which simply isn’t even possible lol
The app works but... Honestly, it’s the logging me off every few days and the constant updates, plus it doesn’t load my area well and I have to hit search a couple times before I get any nearby results. Otherwise it works and the data is valuable for figuring out meals while out.
No free option. Seems like a cool idea, but in reality they make you click through a survey/questionnaire before hitting you with a “ free trial” a $32 a year subscription. Not sure why they couldn’t be up Front about the pricing, would’ve saved me the time and energy of taking their silly survey before deleting the app.
Force subscription. First download and told I can get premium access for 3 days, at first I didn’t want to sign up for any premium membership but it got to the point where I can’t even access the app without doing the free trial, so I did the free trail and made sure to cancel it so I won’t be charged. Now I’m trying to access the app again, it’s forcing me to get a subscription just to access the app. I saw no x on any of the corners nor a button to skip it.
Not helpful. Kinda pointless, just gives suggestions but doesn’t showcase price, nutrition info, or why it’s recommended. Plus each restaurant takes a long time to load suggestions because it analyzes each separately and resets every time. Potential with the app to go a long way but just not great right now
subscription. I legit just downloaded the app today and asked me to start a three day trial so I did exactly that and was charged for whatever reason. the app then allowed me to look at fast food places. 3 hours later, I go back to the app to check out some places to eat and it’s telling me to subscribe again even though on my phone, it shows i’m already subscribed. thanks for taking my money.
Can’t access without paying. The idea of the app seems great. However there is one main problem, after a free trial you have to pay for it. As someone that is tight on budget but still trying to get healthier this really disappointed me.
Excited to try it out. I’m thinking highly of this will check back after I get to use it a while
My thoughts. I just got the app menu fit. I learned about it on Instagram. I just signed up but so far it’s going good. I’ll leave another review after a few days of using it.
Predatory pay to use. Takes you through the entire process to create an account and you can’t even use it without their predatory sign up process. Can’t even use the app unless you sign up to their premium even at zero cost it’s designed for you to forget and then it charges you. Let me try it completely free before you pull this on me.
Stopped Working. Really cool idea, it was fun while it lasted. Stopped working this week. It wouldn’t load. I updated the app, now it’s just an error message over and over “try again later”. I have good signal, my subscription is active, app is up-to-date. There’s no reason it shouldn’t be working.
Good Idea, Poor Execution. Instagram pages do a lot better job than this app. It asks a bunch of useless questions but I feel like it has built in options no matter your food preferences because it would still suggest meals I told it I didn’t like. I’ve also seen better order suggestions from a quick Instagram search in healthy eating out options. Don’t waste your time.
Very useful. Very useful I feel like you definitely need this if you want to eat healthy and don’t have time to cook or you’re struggling
Can’t pick what kind of meal. I cancelled my subscription because when I’d put breakfast in, it would show me options like pot roast or grilled tenders. And when I wanted a smoothie I put in smoothie and pulled up tropical smoothie cafe. But the options were all food options none smoothies. So when you try to filter what kind of meal it doesn’t actually work.
Membership fee but worth it. I work at Chick-fil-A and it actually knows the ins and outs about our menu and other fast food restaurants. it’s actually pretty spot on with how healthy you want to be and your idea of being healthy.
Subscription required. I have no doubt the app does what it claims. But it does require a paid subscription. Plenty of healthy fast food hacks/orders you can find online for free. Instead of playing 20 questions when you first open the app just throw up the payment option immediately, then go through goals, preferences, etc. never deleted an app faster, don’t waste people’s time.
I can’t even start the app. I was trying to use the app for the first time and I can’t even start, when the app shows me the option to pay/free trial then it shows me an error saying “An error occurred Superwall didn’t pass a StoreKit 2 product to purchase. Are you sure you’re not configuring Superwall with a SuperwallOption to use StoreKit 1?” What that even means? Terrible experience so far
Should be free. I thought this was just a simple app that let you see the calories of menu items from restaurants. You have to fill this whole questionnaire before you get to do anything, you have to make an account, AND THEN finally they disclose it’s not free. But you can start a free trial -.-
