AMAZING. Probably one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played! 10/10, the storylines, the choices, the quality of everything like I was literally questioning if these people where extremely well designed 3d characters or actual humans and everything was so brilliant and well played out. I literally downloaded this game today and I finished it today that’s how locked in I was bro like ITS WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

Incredible game!. If you enjoy or want to learn some about the only female emperor of China ,Wu Zeitian’s, life in the palace this is definitely the game for you! It’s very fun, interactive, and mostly historical accurate. Be prepared to die though because there really is over 100 ways to die lol. But you can always go back and make a different choice. It’s a very interesting game!

The Plot Thickens. It’s my mother’s birthday and recently she’s been really into Chinese dramas so getting this was the best thing I could’ve gotten for her lol This whole story is genuinely so addictive and we love it only thing is we die to literally everything lol 😂 this is great

Amazing. This such a good concept I love it I thought I could make it since I watch ancient Chinese dramas all the time but omg I got killed twice in chapter one. I would not live a day if I was transmigrated into the ancient world haha

Absolute cinema. This game is so addicting. I pre-ordered originally and then I bought all 16 episodes. I am on episode 11 right now and I can’t wait to see how it ends. You can really see that this game is in early stages like I have no idea what to do with the coins,eggs,or roses. That being said, I love the story overall.

Truly amazing game!. As an avid Chinese drama watcher, this is the perfect dream come true it’s like watching a drama and finally deciding the choices for the heroine. I love the game so much. I just started it and it’s already amazing. Please come out with more. I can’t get enough!

So many ways to die…. Honestly, making the wrong choices in this game is part of the appeal, but sets, costume designs, historical figures and the acting elevates this game to another level. It is well worth your time. I’ve already played it on Steam, and I had to get it for my iPhone as well.

Beyond Amazing!. I finished the game and i need more!!! Very immersive gameplay. You forget it's a game and get completely wrapped up in the storyline. I did notice between chapters 7 through 10, there were times where the english captions stopped working. Other than that, i need 100 more chapters immediately!! The actors in the game are top notch as well! All in all, i would highly recommend this game! Game creators you did a wonderful job with this one! Please keep the chapters coming quickly!💜💜

Fun interactive drama. These are the kind of games that I really enjoy. A great visual novel experience with twists and turns. It does really make back tracking to previous choices very very easy.

Genuinely incredible game!. I never write reviews but I had to for this. I’ve never watched a Chinese historical drama before, and clearly I’ve been missing out! This game had me so gagged. Died like 1000 different times and enjoyed every minute. My only complaint is that I wish we could’ve gotten the full storyline, but I can’t wait for Road to Empress 2. I love how Road to Empress I captures everything great about a Chinese historical romance drama while also allowing us to make choices as if we were transported into the drama itself. From the music to the high quality acting, I was hooked as soon as I pressed “enter the palace”. You can tell the developers and writing team truly took their time ensuring this was done right. I love that you receive information on each character you encounter and some information is revealed after the encounter plays out to give more info that wasn’t there before. If you love watching Chinese historical dramas and want to experience it first hand, this is absolutely the game for you!!!

Yeah, maybe you’ll have your fair share of some poisonous endings, but literally in the end it’s all worth it! Where is Road to Empress 2!? Ahhh, I can’t wait 😖😱🙌🙌

I PULLED AN ALL NIGHTER FOR THIS GAME. I started this game thinking it would be one of those terribly animated pay to win games that are nothing like their ads but I was very pleasantly surprised when I started playing it. It is currently 4 am and I just finished the game and it was probably the best thing i could do instead of sleeping. Thank you so much to the developers and the amazing actors for making this game I wholeheartedly appreciate it sososo much and I recommend it to anyone considering buying it!!

Good story. It’s pretty cool, enjoying the story. It’s like a choose your own adventure story. It seems pretty linear, feeling like I have multiple paths, but find I’m only trying to choose the best answer so I can move forward with the movie. Am enjoying it though

SOOOO GOOD!!!. I don’t usually play games and struggle to stay interested long enough to finish but this was different. I was hooked! Finished the whole thing and now I’m going to go and try to unlock all of the endings while I impatiently wait for the sequel to be released! WORTH IT!!. I wanted to play this game after seeing a YouTuber play it and because I’m interested in Chinese media. I was trying to find out where I could play it since I own a MacBook. I looked on Steam, but I didn’t feel comfortable downloading it from there, so I checked the App Store, and it was actually available there. Don’t be afraid to download it from the App Store, it is 100% legitimate. The gameplay itself is very user-friendly, and everything about it is amazing. The game is so enthralling. I loved playing it so, so much, and I can’t wait for the second game to come out. The story follows the first female empress of China, and I didn’t realize it was based on a true story until I was halfway through reading about the game. It’s very interesting and full of drama, so if you enjoy watching Chinese dramas, this game is definitely for you. It feels like you’re watching a Chinese drama, but you also get to make decisions. Also, all the actors did such a great job in this game. It truly makes the experience beautiful, and I love the idea of being able to flirt and choose whichever person you want. Worth every cent!!!!

All chapters, from 0-41, plus all side quests, cost about $20 USD. I downloaded this game less than a month ago and have completed the entire first chapter. I was eagerly waiting for the next part, and now, playing part 2, I still love this game. It is worth the purchase; it's a game I can get lost in for hours, replay, and always feel like I have something new to discover. I have talked about this game so much to my family, friends, and even coworkers that I had to leave a review. 100% recommend, 5 stars, 10/10.

I don’t mean not to support this game, but I don’t like it , felling I am treated not well. The supplier really teach es me a lesson before this game. A must try interactive novel!. If you like me who love watching affairs in Chinese royal palace, you will absolutely love this game. I haven’t seen any ancient drama as great as Empresses in the palace but this one. The storyline is kind of similar, but the details are amazing. This put me on the edge of my seat right from the preclude. You can really feel how deadly it is to live inside a royal palace. You can even re-do other choices to see things unfold in Storyline. The music is amazing. The characters are so beautiful. You can see every little details that you know how much they put effort into developing this game. I am so glad that i payed for this game. This novel deserves it and more attention. I just wish they make this into a movie, I’m sure tons of people will adore it

If you love C dramas 👏. I am almost 3 hours into this game and absolutely loving it. I figured that since I watch a ton of Chinese dramas I would do pretty well but alas my poor fl keeps getting poisoned lololol. Fortunately, this game allows you to go back and correct the mistakes allowing you to see what would happen if you make different choices I look forward to seeing what happens and how the plot continues to develop!

Amazing Interactive Drama. As a C-drama fans playing Detroit Become Human a lot, this game is really recommended! The costumes and sets are breathtakingly detailed and actors deliver powerful performances. $0.99+$5.79 for all chapters is well-worthy! ps: it’s easy to die in the game lol.

Disappointed 👎🏻👎🏻. The storyline is extremely disturbing. New characters who could have lived peacefully are forced into toxic schemes against each other. One girl is even thrown into a river and killed just for liking the same thing as the consort, while others mock her blood on the ground. The victim is ridiculed after death, while the schemers act innocent. Such twisted and unhealthy values completely ruin the game experience. Thirdly is the problems with this game is one of the achievement in the game which is to give 10000 eggs and flowers to a character which is impossible because the only way to get more eggs and flowers (during gameplay,you get like 0 eggs and 4K flowers)is by spending your coins (which you won’t have enough to get 10k of each)or spending real money.Either way,Road to Empress is a really good game and is worth the 10$ price tag.

There are no multiple paths. You need to choose the only path that will let you move on in the game, there’s no “other” possible route. Should be labelled visual novel instead.
