Very excited. The old manga side of Crunchyroll was pretty bad so I’m excited to she the upgrades they made

Small catelog. I love the interface they went with for the new service, my only issue is the small catalog for how much they charge. Hopefully more series can be added and make the price more worth it

Good but limited. The software works great and I like the UI. Just needs some more manga.

Cool idea bad execution. I allready pay nearly 100 dollars a year for the subscription of the base app, reading here requires a subscription upgrade that I’m not the biggest fan of, maybe it might be worth it when it has more manga

Lacks enough manga pages. Can’t really understand the manga if it doesn’t start from the beginning or doesn’t have some middle parts.

New. The only complaint I have is that most of the manga seem behind but I assume this will be fixed with time I was looking forward to one piece manga only to find it’s in thriller park

Needs more chapters. Doesn’t have full mangas only has a quarter of them

Mediocre selection. It’s pretty much a sampling platter of a bunch of manga publishers but not very complete. You would be better off with shonen jump or manga up subscriptions.

Long-time Ultimate Fan subscribers get no access, confusing subscription tiers. As a longtime Crunchyroll subscriber (since 2009), I do find the rollout of the Manga app disappointing especially around the confusing subscription naming and feature gating. Though the app says Ultimate Fan subscriptions have access, what they really mean is the NEW Ultimate Fan subscriptions have access. If you’re a long time subscriber on an Ultimate Fan Annual Plan, you may be on an old $100/year plan that is ineligible. There is a NEW “Ultimate Fan” annual plan that is $150/year that will get you manga access but seems like you’ll lose HD video access given that feature is no longer listed under Ultimate Fan. If you wanted all the features of your $100/year Ultimate Fan annual plan (HD video too) + manga, you need to select the $155/year Mega Fan + Manga annual plan instead. So unless you’re ready to pay significantly more because you do value the manga access, you may want to pass on this.

Titles. The number of titles is overwhelmingly low it does have some good titles but most of the titles I want to read aren’t available so for that reason I don’t recommend subscribing to it

Intuitive. Intuitive and easy to navigate!

Manga. This made finding manga on shows I’ve watched so much easier

please change/fix this. I got a premium account but it still says upgrade to premium also everything requires premium even for mangas/shows that don’t draw any attention

Mega Fan. I already pay for the base for both but doesn’t let me switch it? Without canceling the site is directing me to the app the app is directing me to the App Store

Costs WAY too much. I came into this app thinking “oh, I already have a Crunchyroll subscription. I can read whatever I want, since I am actively paying for anime that I could easily find for free with Adblock on not-so-legal streaming sites.”I was wrong. They require you to “upgrade” your subscription to include manga access. Currently, I’m paying $80 per year to access a notoriously limited catalog of ad-free anime. If I wanted to read manga as well, I would have to spend $120 per year. An extra $40! (And no, you cannot just buy yourself manga access only). It’s overpriced, not even taking into account for the lack of titles. And as far as I can tell, no free options whatsoever. Don’t download this app just to be disappointed like me, there are way better options out there.

It’s good. I love the new manga app not that many mangas yet but more will come out soon

We’ll see.. I’ve had Crunchyroll for just over a decade now, just now deleted the old manga app they had. I’ll change it depending on how well the app was made and how many tittles it has, but I’m definitely going in with a lot of skepticism since Crunchyroll has been making more and more wrong moves the past few years.

pretty nice,. it’s a good app, it’s not always caught up but that’s to be expected since from what i can tell it’s like really new. it automatically logged me into my account so that’s also amazing. spared me the trouble! i really hope i can read more of my favorite shows with this app :)

Overall a great app!. Honestly theres some great Manga, yet the library is still quite limited (especially in romance) which is to be expected since it’s still new, the price isn’t horrible though a little annoying, and I wish there was a more clear way to tell if a series is ongoing or complete, along with a explanation for how it’s rated. Tl;DR: Needs more titles, more transparency on ratings and completion status, though recommend

wish it was truly included in your mebership. You have to have a specific manga included crunchyroll subscription to read anything. Just being a regular premium member doesn’t cut it.

manga's, chapters, and visual reading options are missing. me and my friend were excited to use this app except it's not as good as we imagined it to be ofc maybe with time and updates this app could be way better but they don't even have jojo manga which was something i been currently reading and my friend noticed they're missing hundreds of chapters from a finished manga called jujutsu kaisen and same goes for one piece and several manga i assume ofc correct me if i'm wrong but as far as sources go they gatekeep countless chapters to encourage ppl to buy physical copies of the mangas which i understand if that's true ofc but the free sites obv have all manga and chapters up to date, they let u see left and right pages to give you the book POV but yea if u wanna find free manga sites just google them lol

Overpriced for the amount of value it has currently. I’m not spending an extra 3 dollars to an already 12 dollar subscription for the anime I’m watching, should’ve just been included with base mega fan with how much content that’s currently on there. Go use literally any other manga app. Like 2 dollars a month and will have a much more expansive selection than this garbage. Even better, just look the manga up online.

Premium plus upgrade. I was so excited for Crunchyroll to come out with a manga app. When I downloaded the app and logged in, I couldn’t even access any manga even though I have a premium subscription and it said I needed to upgrade. This is such a disappointment and needs to be fixed.

I am excited to see how it’s gonna grow. So far so good, but so many chapters are lacking. This is very early on. I would like to see updates per Japan releases as well as forums for people to chat in. I think it is a good way to keep the community alive. Additionally, I would love it if you could integrate MAL/anilist to your system for migration for even newer users. It will help you curate the recommendations for them as well. I’d like to help out with more suggestions if so is needed.

Where’s the chapters?. I subscribed hoping to be able to read past the episodes I’ve already watched. Only there’s not even enough chapters to have you caught up with the shows episodes that are already out on the anime app. Would be worth it if they were caught up with where the manga’s are at.

Unfinished Series. Only 2 mangas have finished series. All others have about half of it. Recommend it if they do put all chapters of each manga up there.

Not complete. I really was looking for a place to read some manga only to find out all of the series that is on the app is still incomplete. I was hoping to read all of One Piece but there are only 400 chapters currently out.

Want more chapters. Good selection I’d just love to see the entire series get added onto the app seeing as how it’s much more expensive

Formatting. When reading you can provide an option to let people choose how they are reading like up and down. I’m used to up and down I as I dis like swiping my finders right to left so add more diversity in the formatting

What a scam. This app is a scam, needing the highest level of subscription and also only having a few titles that would be normally available for free. Would not recommend, please review bomb to change this.

Wish there were more. Ive gave the list a good look and though it has some good titles it doesn’t has much as I thought was said to have. I know the app came out so I know there’s more to come but I was expecting more manga. Other than that I do like that this is tied into my recent subscription and it’s nice to be able to read a number of manga with no ads or sketchy pop ups.

Not many to pick from. I hope they expand the library on this app and quickly. This company should be able to publish manga that’s up to date with the physical content.

More titles. They’ll need to have a bigger selection in order for me to upgrade to use this manga app.

Can’t use premium.. I pay for the premium version of Crunchyroll and when I go to use the Manga it tells me to upgrade my Crunchyroll. Please fix

It’s alright. Not that many mangas and the ones they do have they don’t have anything recent or that you can’t already watch. Good app but don’t get if u want to outpace the show you like.

Just not worth it. I was excited to see a dedicated app for the Crunchyroll manga library, but the content available barely deserves its own app in the first place. The series that are available often don’t seem to have every chapter. It would be so convenient and helpful to have one account for both anime and manga, but this isn’t the way to do it. You have to pay extra to read the manga, meaning if you’re in the fan tier you have to pay $4 more every month for manga access. This would be understandable if the library was more impressive. As it stands now, it’s infinitely better value to just get a subscription to the Shonen Jump app for $4 and have access to way more series that actually include every chapter. It’s sad because Crunchyroll could have something amazing here, and they could incorporate unique features like a chapter:episode list to make it easier to switch between reading a series and watching it. For example, if I’m reading chapter 850 of One Piece and want to watch a fight scene, I could easily look at the conversion and by tapping a button be redirected to the main Crunchyroll app to watch that episode. Except, wait, chapter 850 of One Piece isn’t even here. I hope this app continues to improve and become something useful.

???. I download the app because I want to read manga and its telling me to “upgrade plan” when I already am a mega fan 💔 Its not detecting that I already have premium and its just sending me in an infinite loop. Please fix

Good but also underwhelming. For now it gets three stars, I like being able to have manga and anime in basically one app. BUT they don’t have all the chapters off the manga titles that they do have. It seems like it’s only to the current timeline of the anime. Which isn’t exactly why you’d read the manga. You want the full story and hopefully they can deliver that but right now it isn’t what it could be.

Less Manga. Less Chapters. This app isn’t even worth paying extra for on top of my current Crunchyroll subscription. It has fewer manga titles, and the ones available have fewer chapters. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I thought this would be a great alternative to the Shonen Jump app, but clearly, it isn’t. 🙅🏻‍♂️

Good but... Honestly this is good if you want to read the manga of the anime you are watching to see the source material. But it doesn’t cover everything of a series missing chapters or the entire series is not there. It’s good if you have a subscription already and want to read the anime your watching like I said before or just pay for shone jump or viz mangas they are both 2.99 Thank you for reading.

Not enough out. So I get this is new app and all but there not enough out. Why is there not more out in the mangas that have been out for a while now like one piece and black clover makes no sense how they’re not even half way into where the manga are currently.

Not too shabby. Having said that, you do need to work on getting more titles and more chapters for said titles. I dont have a problem with the UI; it’s nearly flawless, and will help you complete with other streaming services. Between this and games, u have an opportunity here. Dont mess it up.

Why do I need to oay when I already have a Crunchyroll account?. This app is a cash grab. The library is tiny and it requires more money on top of your original Crunchyroll subscription. You’re better off pirating your favorite tittles online with an ad blocker or buying a physical copy to support the creator directly

Bad don’t work at all. I have mega fan subscription and it won’t let me read anything. It says I need premium that I already have. There’s also no reading options.

Not worth the money. Not many options and also most of em are incomplete you can read them online. Paid for it thinking I can read all manga in one place and don’t have to search in internet but most em doesn’t even have all the chapters. It’s completely not worth it. Maybe in future might be better but currently it is not worth paying

Terrible. Half of these manga are finished and they still dont have all the chapters uploaded. Why am i paying an extra 5 dollars a month for a half-done job. Until they start ACTUALLY putting all of the chapters on the app which I originally thought was meant to happen. Then for the time being I’ll be sticking with the free websites that upload on time and have a MUCH larger/ better catalogue of manga. Straight garbage

Not enough choice. For a subscription based service, the selection is laughable

iPad only shows one page at a time. I like it, but for some reason, landscape mode on the iPad doesn't show two pages side by side as it does on the iPhone.

VERY Limited Bad for Travel. They severely limit the number of chapters you can download at a time so traveling is frustrating. Especially if you follow more than one series. The reader itself is poorly designed and hard to navigate settings (of which there are very few). This thing feels like an afterthought.

Needs more often updates. The UI is very friendly I must say, but the chapters that the mangas contain is kind of low. I was expecting JJK to at LEAST have the full Culling Games Arc but it didn’t even have the full Shibuya Arc. If chapters were updated more often the app would be great. App also needs more mangas to be available.

You shouldn’t charge users and advertise popular manga without disclosing they’ll be updates. I give one star because I brought expecting to be able to read beyond my favorite anime’s and dive into mangas, and im beyond everything I want to read in the anime, so it’s annoying, I will stick around for a month to see where they take this but any longer im unsubscribing

Updates. I hope they’ll make an update that makes it work. It can read it to you too for when I’m doing stuff I can still listen to manga but it been good so far

Not caught up to the manga…. I just upgraded my subscription but I don’t think it was worth it… because most of the manga isn’t even caught up to the anime… witch is sad bc the whole point I upgraded is because I want to read past the anime other manga apps would definitely be the better choice… I love Crunchyroll but I wouldn’t spend the money for Crunchyroll manga.

Need some updates. So far the app has been functioning quite well. Everything has really good clarity in it. The app is easy to use, but a bunch of my favorite animes are several chapters behind. And I kind of wish that there was more updates that increased the amount of chapters in more popular manga.

Could use more. Lack offers a limited selection of popular anime and manga and is not up to date with long-running series. I was extremely disappointed to see that "Blue Lock" is missing! Although it has a decent variety for being relatively new, there is definitely room for improvement.

How I love this app. I always loved reading manga and wanted to read more but it was limited at my usual library so ever since I got this app I been able to read manga for free while only paying for the membership

Can’t use App Store account. The only option is to have an account with Crunchyroll and they don’t tell you when you try to sign up. There is no “restore purchase” option on login. I got a response from Crunchyroll and they didn’t read the FAQ that they pointed me to. Is it really that hard to verify that you are telling people what you think you are?

Bare bones reader. Selection of manga is fine. Some issues: Missing ability to sync across devices for bookmarks. Would like to have make lists like Crunchyroll streaming to categorize my library. iPhones status info (time, wi-fi, battery) in front of manga page, blocking graphics.

Still one of the easiest ways to find manga online.. Not thrilled about the Sony purchase but at least now some anime in my local theaters.

Works great. They have a decent sized manga selection, almost everything I want to read, the UI is also fairly straight forward. Wish it had more selections though.

Smooth app but more frequent content added. As a reader app it is well designed but new content is inconsistent. That being said there is enough to keep me reading for a while.

solid. decent selection, allows you to download stuff for a week, and recently allowed a download all button. it would be nice to have more reading settings, like having the ability to switch reading directions or being able to play next chapter without an internet connection the same way as when you have one. better selection than other apps

Great but lacking. I love crunchyroll and this idea of combining streaming with manga. It provides a seamless combination in one subscription, however, the manga is severely incomplete. It is not worth the extra manga fee, in my opinion, until a more complete collection is available. I have downgraded back to streaming only with high hopes of future improvement.

Good app, bad library. The app itself seems really nice. The reader is good and you can download manga. It comes with my crunchyroll subscription which is nice. But the library is pretty bare and the manga I checked weren’t even close to up-to-date. If the library selection improves this app would be perfect. But until then it’s back to pirating and physical copies.

App needs updated badly. There is no way to sort manga other than alphabetical. Please add sorting for complete works vs current 😭 It’s so annoying to pay for manga access and not even be able to easily find things. You just scroll through all of it. I may go back to my original subscription and delete this app.

Subscription. I recently downloaded the app thinking all of the bad reviews were being dramatic, but this app is completely defective. For starters you can’t even change your subscription level to actually use this apps features from the steps that Crunchyroll tells you to follow. After I go through all the steps as they say you still can’t change your subscription level. Complete waste of time.

Good enough. It’s a decent manga app, but the selection is really low. The manga available don’t always have all the available, official, chapters. Maybe that’s just because it’s relatively new but getting manga from elsewhere seems to be better at the moment.

Limited Manga. It’s great but like the series are very limited I upgraded to see manga that hasn’t been animated yet. And some aren’t caught up like not even close. For example JJK the anime past Shibuya but the manga on this app stops at the end of Shibuya. I just wish I could’ve seen what’s on there before spending basically 20$

Why?. I download the app to know that I have to pay?who would want to pay a subscription for books,just go to the library instead or just get free library apps

Love manga. I love the app. I love that I can read anytime. But I do wish more were added more often. I am a little confused that I see some manga on here when the anime’s on for them are on hidive instead of Crunchyroll

Needs more chapters. I’m sure this is a legal/licensing thing but the only major issue I have is that new chapters haven’t been added seemingly since launch. Other than that it’s an adequate service for reading manga when I’m bored and don’t want to spend hundreds on the entirety of the One Piece manga.

No good mangas to read. They have barely have any mangas to read, was looking forward to reading the mangas I already own since reading online would be less distracting to me just to find out they don’t even have the popular ones and if they do it’s only the first volume. Very disappointing and hoping they add more in the future.

App Extremely Unstable. Within 20 minutes of using the app I encountered multiple error messages resulting in content not displaying and search functions failing as well as two separate instances of being forced logged-out of my account. The app seemed to suddenly destabilize while using the e-reader function and at least 6 different error codes were individually listed on the following pages displayed.

Started off lame but they have been updating pretty often…. The first few months this was horrible but they have def fixed some issues and listened to their customers.

Where’s the parts after the anime. I was so happy getting this but when I finally downloaded this app I was really disappointed to see that it only had chapters of the shows and ended where the show ends. I hope in the feature you guys can add the chapters after the show ends. I gave this 2 stars because there is a lot of manga selection but only covers the show.

Missing the guided reading. I had the original Crunchyroll manga app and they had a “guided reading” that zoomed in on the panels as you read them, ensuring you felt closer to the story as you read and made it feel more cinematic. If you have the feature I would like it added to the app again.

Imagine. Imagine having a feature, taking it away (and still charging users the same amount after), then adding the feature back and saying “oh look what we did for you.” You added a feature that was originally included back, want more money for it, AND you’ve already raised prices on top of that anyways. Wild.

Potential App.. This app is insanely good. the ui is clean, its very user friendly, and I honestly prefer reading on it compared to other apps. the only problem is the catalog is severly lagging. It’s missing a lot of stuff that I’d like to see, like Ajin: Demi-Human, Billy Bat, Centuria, Fire Force, Fullmetal Alchemist, and even hunterxhunter. I think once the app grows further and expands its catalog by a huge margin it’ll definitely be THE manga app

More content. This is good app, it’s very intuitive the design of the app and easy to use. My experience with it have been very good. But I really need more variety and content, many animes should have their manga here

It’s Alr. Doesn’t have a lot of good options and every manga is not complete so it’s questionable what the point in reading it is instead of watching the anime. There’s no chainsaw man either. They should have every manga fully completed that they have the anime for on Crunchyroll otherwise no one is going to keep getting this app it’s pretty much a scam and you should just read the manga free online.

Ughhh missing chapters. So I love how easy it is to read manga on this app , and the abundance of titles … but there are a lot of missing chapters and it’s rare to find a manga that is caught up 😑 I was reading ascendance of a book worm and it was split into four parts and their we’re definitely missing chapters because I was completely lost in the beginning of each chapter :/ plz fix I enjoy this series and I want to read ALL of the chapters not just some

Misleading. I was excited when I read the news that Crunchyroll was going to provide manga. I even upgraded my subscription to enjoy the benefits of reading JJK and other titles. JJK manga ends exactly where the anime does…. Why market that I can read all these manga titles and not provide all of them. Now I have $$$ down the drain that I wish I could have back. Not worth it at this current moment.

Unable to access. I have been subscribed to Crunchyroll for 10+ years and was really looking forward to the manga site. However, none of the subscription info for CR manga is accessible thru either app despite the help page purposely sending you to the original app to upgrade your acct. you also can’t make changes to your acct thru the website which is even more annoying. Don’t advertise something and then send us around in circles.
