Needs to add a crucial Feature. The App is quite handy and does almost everything you need… But the fact that you cannot enter a specific tip amount (the app has a slider that allows you to change the tip percentage but it will not allow you to enter a specific tip amount) Makes the totals off (by small amounts) often. The developers should really address this

Why haven't the fixed the math error?. Other than the incorrect total that you get when you move a pile of plates onto a single plate, this is a well-designed app. I reported that error over a year ago, but they still haven't fixed it. I've taken to adding up the final split amounts to ensure that I haven't hit that bug. When I do, I have to start over. I guess they've abandoned work on this app.

Genius App. There can always be improvement to things (someone mentioned being able to add names to the other plates to remember what item goes where which would definitely be neat) but as a whole this is probably one of the best things to happen for group dining. I’ll definitely be using this for future outings when everyone else starts pulling out their calculators. Can’t wait to see if it develops any further!

Thrilled! (Needs Update Please!!!). Love this app! Hopefully it will help avoid the uncomfortable "Let's just split the bill evenly" when all I had was a salad and soda while the rest of you went to town with a Filet Mignon and House Wine. Please update the app!!! Everything works great up until you get to sharing the totals by either text or email. The buttons off the screen on the iPhone 6 Plus. Otherwise great. A cheap work around has been to screenshot the screen and text that instead. Not elegant but still, Update PLEASE!!!

Great! One minor improvement. The app is amazing and I have used it multiple times. It would just be helpful if it would let you add the names of who you are splitting the bill with… it would be especially helpful for large groups who dont split everything evenly

Math issue. Love this app, but the math is wrong on the new "combine plates" feature— I tested it with 4 people, a $10 bill with $1 tax and 10% tip for a total of $12... I split evenly which correctly showed $3 each... But when I combined all plates the amount on the plates jumped to $15. (More info on the plates revealed the subtotal to be $13 when it should have been $10.) UPDATE: I found the error only occurs when you drag an already combined set of plates onto a single plate or another set. If you drag only single plates onto others, it adds up correctly. Thanks for the input!

QoL Suggestions. Good app, a few small suggestions that would make it great: - Allow the user to enter the exact tip amount instead of just using percentage - Have some history page that stores the last few totals - Let the user put a note or name on each plate

love it & highly recommend it. Every time I pull out plates after a dinner, I end up convincing everyone with me to download the app. It's super easy to use and splits things accurately. My only wish: you could manually enter in how much tip you're adding, instead of the sliding scale.

Missing manual tip entry. Excellent app and does what it says! Saves a lot of time. I would like to recommend a way to manually enter in the tip? It’s mainly because you have to adjust it using a bar slider without a way to manually enter a specific value for the tip. Otherwise, perfect app!

Godsend. This app has literally changed my restaurant-dining life. I used to be one of those clumsy, confused souls that sat staring at the receipt while desperately trying to figure out the proportion of tax in addition to tip for everyone WHILE ALSO trying to figure out how to physically pay because everyone has different variations in preference for card, cash, or Venmo. This at least cuts down the math time and that is HUGE to hold people accountable for their totals fast! If only the U.S. factored tax and tip into the price of the food already like some other countries... :( But THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THIS APP! <3

Great when you need it. Don’t need this app often but it’s invaluable when I do. Lunch with 6 coworkers? Plates to the rescue. I wish it would leave results around for longer tho, so you can follow up with people who can’t pay right away. Also if it could export calculations to Notes or just as a text file.

Impressive Features. I was looking for an app that calculates tips and splits the tax too. It’s a hard to find a split check app that does this. Not only that, but I can also individually add food items. This does just that and the only one I could find that does it! So convenient.

Smart App. This is smart, takes second guessing out of splitting the bill. Would love to see it integrated into Splitwise App. Would also like features like: 1. Being able to click plate and text to someone in your contacts. 2. And/or able to send them a Venmo/Cash App request. 3. Ability to take photo of receipt, it reads items that can then be added to the plates.

Game changer. Fantastic app. Great and use friendly interface. I've used this app several times, however two items to consider for fixes: 1. I’m constantly having to edit the text size otherwise the size is too large in landscape mode. 2. Add option to put in dollar amount for tips versus just percentage.

Love it. I love this app. My friends and I use it every time we go out to dinner. My only recommendation would be to have a way to add in restaurant mandates (in some SF restaurants a percentage is added to the bill to cover wait staff insurance, etc). As it stands now we have to add this in as an entree that is slit by everyone (which technically isn't accurate and then you end up tipping on it).

Nice app but one big oversight. This app is simple and intuitive, and provides a quick way to divvy up bills on the fly. I have one complaint though— it appears you cannot enter a custom dollar amount for the tip, so if the tip you left doesn’t come out to a round percentage, the total won’t reconcile and the app is pointless.

Great solution to a common social puzzle. Great app! I like that it's stand alone to SplitWise as there are always times when you are dining and there are people you're not familiar/friends with. Great user interface and walk through. Covers all the bases even down to combining dishes at the last second for couples in a party.

Great idea - needs improvement. The basis of this app is great and works “well enough”. However it doesn’t remove all the work from you splitting the bill. Some helpful additions I hope to see on the app in the future: - be able to put in a custom tip. Rarely do we ever tip a random cent amount, it’s usually to the dollar - be able to split specific items. For example some restaurants will put 4 orders of fries with a total amount but no way to know what each one is individually without pulling out a calculator but it would be great to put an item amount and have a “split by specific number” option to split between a certain amount of people but not all equally These additions would make the app near perfect. Fabulous. Great app! My go to when going out to dinner with friends. Only thing is I wish you could put each persons name on their plate, as when there are 10 of you it’s gets confusing to remember who sit where. They should add a feature where you can type in each persons name above their plate to fix this issue.

Need ability to input names on plates. Great app overall but becomes more difficult to use when I can't remember which plate is for which member in my large party. Not everyone sits in the same configuration as the plates show on the app. Would be SUPER helpful to be able to add names to the plates at the start.

Makes bill splitting easy. Super easy to use. Reduces the time to split bills by a lot. Would be better it had these features: - Manually enter the tip because sometimes the tip doesn’t equal the percentages available. - Able to view the itemized calculations to confirm things. This is especially important with big bills.

Very useful app. Love the app. Simple to use. Only 4 things missing: 1) option to name the plates. 2) option to remove the dialog to enter tax each time you use it (in Europe prices are tax/VAT included). 3) option to save each calculation for future checks 4) option to multiply the same item and divide it unequally (4x10€ and divide it to 3 persons like 2, 1, 1)

Great except for a few missing features. Really like this app, and love using it. I wish it allowed 2 things: (a) an export to splitwise function, so I could send the final meal cost distribution to splitwise when the tab is (as if so often is) part of a larger set of group expenses, and (b) an option to specify the tip amount by $ rather than by percentage, and/or an option to specify the total paid including tip and letting the app recognize that the amount over the total due was the tip.

Wow! This is exactly what my group of friends need!. Love how you can split the bill based on what people ordered, shared and the ability to combine bills in the end if certain people are paying together! Awesome! We will never be short money or overpaid again!

Perfect for complicated splitting. ...and it does the easy stuff, too! My friend can eat with my family and it carves out her portion to the penny. In a large party, three people can share an appetizer. Two others can share a dinner. Half the table can share one bottle of wine and the other half another bottle of wine! It adds tax on appropriately at the end, and each person may leave whatever percentage gratuity s/he wishes, as the app will figure that individually as well. I couldn't ask for more. It's intuitive, extremely user friendly. Excellent work. Period.

Almost perfect - why can’t we directly type in tip?. Such a good app. But it’s insane you can’t directly enter the tip amount. People rarely do exactly 18%. And even if you decide to use the app first to determine your tip, and just do exactly 18%, the app doesn’t tell you how much that is! So you have to then calculate it in a separate app. Pretty silly. Also, name plates! Come on

Best app ever!!!. Makes eating out with groups so convenient/easy. If i could give this 10 stars..I would. Only suggestion: some restaurants ask for bill and tip separately. After stacking plates, it would be good to have the total bill amount and tip amount separately.

Used to be better! What happened?. This app was a replacement for Billr (RIP) and I think I started to prefer it but somewhere along the line it stopped letting you assign names to each plate and text the participants the final results. Now I have to take a screenshot of the final screen and go into Markup to label each one and text the screenshot to everyone. How stupid is that?!?

Great for Small Groups. This would be the perfect app if we could scan the receipt so inputting the information would alleviate errors and save time. If you have 25 items on the receipt, it takes a long time. As another person suggested, having the ability to write a name would be most helpful.

The best bill splitting app. I've tried ten apps for splitting bills and tips accurately and finally found this one. You shared only the appetizer but not the dessert? Then only count yourself in splitting the part of appetizer. It also calculates the tips proportionately to the amount your share in the bill. No need to concern if anyone pay more or less than they supposed to. No longer a pain to split the bill after dining.

This was beautifully created. So grateful for this: simple to use and they thought of everything I, anyway, could want in such an app. I haven’t used it for real yet, but I’ve tried out a few scenarios with it, and it works so well. I love too that it figures the tip without tipping the tax.

Simple to use. This app is really simple and great for what it needs to be used. Two things I find a little annoying are that you can’t customize each check for example let’s say you want to put an initial for someone name for their portion or text. Secondly you can’t edit the tip so what if you don’t put the tip as a certain percentage but a certain amount you can change that in the app. Other than that it is great and easy to use.

Great App - Well Designed and Extremely Useful. I’m an iOS app developer, and from my perspective this is a very well executed app. Great user interface that is easily understood right out of the box. I’m certain improvements will come fast to address any issues, but It’s a great app right now that will only get better!

Love the app.. Love this app. There are a couple of things I would love to see this app add. 1. Be able to name the plates 2. Be able to scan the ticket and have each item on the ticket listed separately … then you could just drag each item to the plate it belongs to.

Love this app but please up the number of plates. This app has saved my group outings time and time again. It’s so easy to use, even for those of us who aren’t mathematically inclined. But please up the number of plates available. 10 is good usually but it’s not enough. Sometimes I’ve been out with a dozen+ people and am in a bit of a bind trying to figure out how to best use the app with more than 10 people.

Simple and Effective. Great app and UI, I used to do all this on a spreadsheet until now. The only improvements I’d like to see is being able to input a more specific tip. And if we could have items with different tax values that would also be helpful.

Not flexible enough to be useful. The concept is nice, but the features are so barebones that it’s not useful for me. What really grinds my gears is the inability to write a custom tip $ amount. It just forces you to use their slider %. I don’t do the bill splitting at the table—it’s stressful and I think a bit gauche, so I save the receipt and Venmo charge friends afterwards. But the slider doesn’t give me the chance to enter the actual amount I tipped. It’s idiotic. I have to uninstall.

Where has this been all my life!!!. This is the best!! And so user friendly!! I opened it up to play around and had no bugs or issues at all, it was simple and will make it so much easier than that awkward how do you want to split this up? Or we didn’t really have the apps or wine, but we can split the bill equally..... lol we’ve all been there I’m telling everyone about this magical little app! It’s AMAZING ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Love it, but let me Name the Plates. My friends and I love this app it has made going to eat so much easier when the bill comes!! However, sometimes friends start milling around when the bill comes and it’d be great to have an option tick off from a list of friends who i regularly dine with that are there, and have it show above their plates just the way mine shows “YOU”; then I can easily see their names and assign the right amounts to them, rather than try to count plates and keep them straight, which can get hard when there are 10 people involved.

Few minor flaws make this a big miss. Can be handy, but couple minor things make this app so much less useful than it could be. 1) Plate names: I have to keep a mental map of who sat where throughout my entire use? Really? 2) Splitwise: why in the world can't I import the bills from this into Splitwise to split amongst my group? We these made by separate teams that just REALLY don't get along or something?

Great tool, has limitations. I love using this for group dining. It makes splitting the bill so much easier. I wish I could assign the plate names to keep track of who is who. It’s also only ideal with a max of 5 people. Anything over that gets overly complicated and confusing to keep track of.

One of my favorite apps. I’m the type of person who needs to know how much each person owes, to the cent. Plates makes this really easy. I’ve shown the app to several friends, and they all love it too. My only request is to be able to export results to Splitwise, but even without this feature, this app rocks.

Need revised tip feature. This app is easy to use and does what it needs to do but it would be nice to have the option to choose between a $ amount of tip and percentage rather than default percentage. I usually like to round up/down on my tips for an even dollar amount but I can’t do that here.

Great Tool! Just needs a few things.. 1. This is a great app and anyone he eats out with friends NEEDS to download and use this. Save some time waiting for the busy waiter to split the check. It does need a few things, in my opinion. 2. Custom tip amount, rather than set percentages based on the slider. The tax is an input amount so, why can’t the tip? I think there should be an option. 3. Naming of plates would be nice. As the groups get bigger, it’s hard to track who is where on the “plates”. 4. Portrait mode!! I don’t care how small the plates will get. Using landscape trying to type in numbers is tough! 5. Allow a photo of the receipt to be attached? Or at least pulled up while in the app? May be asking for too much.

Tip Scale Needs to Exceed 25%. Love this app but the tip percentage needs to be adjusted up. Unfortunately most digital systems that restaurants use these days suggest a tip based off of the total amount of the bill (including tax and any other state/county fees) instead of just the subtotal which is a sneaky practice on their behalf but it’s just the reality of what they’re doing right now. It makes the Plates app useless because you can’t match up the tip amount since it ends up being higher than 25%. Please adjust the scale for more flexible tipping.

Wonderful tool for group dining!. This is just ideal - and what I needed for monthly luncheons with my sorority Alumnae group! Some of us have wine or dessert - others have a salad and water. Always tried to work it out carefully for ladies to just pay their own bills. But alas - sometimes it was just uneven finance wise. This App makes a lovely time of gathering - go more smoothly and NO ONE has to hesitate to attend due to budget concerns. Thanks - and as someone here mentioned - it would be even better if you were able to place a NAME - with a PLATE! But I just ask everyone to remember their COLOR - and that has worked well. Thanks for this handy tool!

Almost perfect!. This is just what any person who eats out with friends needs. first off, I love how simple and quick it is to use! However I’d love to have the option for a more detailed experience. I’d like to be able to: - Enter my state tax preferences to be calculated automatically (or to have it turned off for non-American users whose lovely countries include tax in prices) - Enter the name of the items -Manually enter the tip amount OR choose a percentage - save “receipts” (each session)

Why I'm no longer afraid of the bill. I instantly became the most well-liked person at the end of dinner when we had failed to asked for separate checks, forced to trade cards, remember who shared what with who, who owes what if they didn't drink. The app made all calculations possible under 1 minute, and left us with a lot more time to explore the city instead of waiting for whoever had the most mathy/engineering sounding career to calculate the final bill.

Love showing this over dinner. When the bill comes and I'm out with my friends, this is my favorite thing to show off! Great design, simple to use, pretty helpful when you're sharing a bunch of dishes. Tapas anyone?! Thanks splitwise team! Nearly Perfect. I’ve been looking for a tool like this and finally decided to do a Google search because something like this surely should exist already, right? This is the only solution I happened upon. I would have given 5 stars, but I discovered one feature that I think should be revised: the tip functionality. The tip portion of this app defaults to a slider that only goes up to 25% and doesn’t accommodate incorporating a tip beyond that amount. We wanted to leave a 30% tip and have the app perform the same split calculation according to the portion each person would be responsible for. We needed to do that math separately with a calculator because this app does not accommodate this. The user experience would be improved if the slider could move to an unlimited number or allow the user the type the dollar amount they want to give as a tip. It would be great if the app could be revised to accommodate both instances so that if the user wants to learn what the tip would be at a certain percentage, the user could find that number. And, alternatively, if the user knows the dollar amount they want to tip, this app should be able to also specify what percentage that is. Regardless, the app should allow someone to calculate a tip far beyond just 25% of the bill. Once that feature is updated, I would give 5 stars without hesitation.

Bill Splitter. I've always wanted this App, and now there is one and I finally have it, and it's a beauty for those short on mental arithmetic after a few sherbets.

Bug fixes for a Good App. Bug Fix: after combining plates, and pressing the share button, the original plate will be displayed next to the combined plate, and allow the user to allocate different names to the plates. Feature enhancement: allow the calculator costs from the Plates to be transferred to Splitwise contacts.

Tax calculation is NOT automated. This is a great app. Just what i need. But one thing i don't understand why you have to add tax manually. There should be a option for percentage and tax should be calculated automatically. If anything should have the liberty of manual editing that should be tips. Usually in our country we don't calculate tips with percentage. We round it up for tax. And would it hurt to shift the price of each item that's on someones plate to a little left? After clicking a plate i can't see the decimal places.

Needs an information or account section.. 'Plates' has a fantastic potential to be a great seller. What it lacks is an Information section as well as an account section, if you are going to register its sale to consumers. An account section can also deal with the selection of national currencies, as well as one to adjust tipping to a certain percentage or the choice to set it at zero for places such as Australia, and other countries that do not have a culture of tipping.

Good App!. Pretty good app. Didn’t give it 5 stars because I didn’t like how the tip is calculated. Easier if we were able to enter the tip manually rather than the slider. With the slider/percentage, it was not accurate. Also preferred if it was portrait rather than landscape.

UI Not that Intuitive but it Works!. For the next update, consider having the names visible on the main screen? Right now, when I rename "Person X", the name isn't visible. Having it visible like the word "You" would be helpful. Thanks.

Simplicity at its best. Honestly this app is more than just useful. It's actually fun to use do to its gorgeous user interface. Moreover, everything is intuitive which makes you feel at ease with the app! Awesome work!

Excellent. Do very well what it is suppose to do. Can hardly be simpler, easier. In splitting the bill, can take care of every situation. Equal share, partial share, items not shared, etc. Well done.

Great app. Simple, quick, USEFUL!!! Suggested enhancements: - allow the user to override the calculated tip amount by entering the actual tip paid -- often people will round-up a bill this way; then Plates could divide this tip amount proportionally amongst the people; - option to identify each person by their name or initials; - option to calculate tip before or after tax (I always use pretax amount, so that could be the default choice!); - option to split a dish percentage-wise, for example 60/40 or 30/30/40 ...; - option to select more descriptive label for each item, from a list of standard descriptions such as: starter, soup, salad, appetizer, beverage, sandwich, burger, fries, side dish, main, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, fish, veg, other main, dessert, cake, pie, cookies, icecream, other dessert... - when the final total results in an odd number, for example $101.87, allow user to override that with a round number such as $102.00, and the app could then automatically proportionately add the difference (in this case, split 13 cents) to each person, OR, the app could suggest a nearest total that would result in round figures for each person. Handy if they're paying with cash!! - Always show the calculated grand total at the top or bottom of left-hand screen. These are meant to be constructive suggestions. It's a well designed app as is!! Thanks!

Almost Perfect. Thank you! It's useful and user friendly. Would like to suggest the following: 1. Having the option to select $ or % amounts when prompted for the tax portion. Primarily because I cannot calculate that $6 + 13% tax is $6.78 right off the bat. 2. Having the option to tip before or after tax. If these factors can be incorporated, then I will hail you as GODS!!!

The best tip calc/bill splitter. Tried a ton, but this has nearly every feature you need. Includes number of people, tax, ability to separate single items between multiple people, combining tabs at the end. Really good UI and can't beat e price. No IAP!

Intuitive, simple yet effective. Highly recommended. Excellent for complicated bill splits (I.e. when there are lots of people, but 3/5 shared a bottle, and 2/5 is vegetarian so only had certain dishes, etc.).

Great app but tips handling makes it unusable. It’s the perfect app for restaurants however when it comes to add the tip at the end, you are stuck with a percentage slider. I’m sure I’m not the only one who likes to add a custom amount of tip to roundup the bill. But there’s no option for such thing in the app. The answer online from the team was they don’t plan to add this feature, that’s sad!

More use. I like this but this app should have a feature that’ll be able to take a picture of the check then be able to split the check. The current feature of colored plates should be able to place initials of the person.

Great app!. We often meet for family group dinners, and spend at least 15-20 minutes at the end figuring out who owes what. I used this app for the first time tonight, and it was awesome, and simple to use! I don’t why I haven’t heard of this before! What a lifesaver!

Couldn’t use because app limits to 10 people. We had a family group party of 13 and unfortunately could not use this app because the first step is to indicate the number of diners. There is a hard stop at 10. Had to download and use a different similar app (Tab) to achieve what I needed to do. Please consider fixing bc I heard good things about this app.

Need to assign names. This is a terrific app but it gets confusing when there are 8 or 10 people and I lose track of which circle is which person. It’s very easy to use.

Incredibly useful and free??!. Thank you, developers and marketing people..this has to be one of the most useful apps I have on my phone. Simple, quick, easy..and just all around perfect! Don’t screw it up haha keep it just the same!!

It could be better. It's great for division, but your calculator does the same if you divide the tab by plate. It would be spectacular if you enabled the camera to recognize the ticket and amounts and be able to divide after that. An update maybe?

Add names before/custom plate locations. I love Plates! And Splitwise as well! It would be awesome if you could rearrange plates to visually match the table you're sitting at in an easy manner, but also if the app could accommodate tons of people too (greater than the limit cap). Also, you should be able to manually add names beforehand, not afterword via the contact section. Also, if there was Venmo/PayPal integration like Splitwise, this would be a killer dinner calculation app! Awesome work though, loving it so far. I'll definitely change the review to 5 stars if at least one of these minor issues are addressed!

Great idea but lacks some features/poor user interface. Hey, I love the idea and it works very well! It’s simple and straight to the point. However, I really hate that the app opens up in landscape mode. It turned me off from using the app. Additionally, it would be great if there was a currency converter that shows your home rate too. This app would have been nice during a trip abroad with friends! Thanks!

Great app but please update so buttons stay on screen. So convenient and easy! I love this app but I wish there could be an update so when you hit the "share" button the buttons align to the iPhone screen!

Meh. Missing two crucial features: 1. you can’t name the plates (ridiculous oversight) 2. You can’t show a breakdown of each item at the end. Need both of those things! I bet there’s something else better out there. Heck could probably write a program myself

So close to perfect. Love the concept but I wish you could send a person their plate once your done. Like share what they owe via text directly from the app so I don’t have to go back and forth between apps to let people know that they owe.

Where has this app in all my life?. A friend told me about it and I fell in love with it. It makes splitting bills so much easier at the restaurant especially when they won't split the bill for you. User and eye friendly. Love it!

Almost perfect. This is easy to use and just works. The only thing I wish for is that you can enter a “custom” tip.

Exact tip amounts?. Great app, I just wish you could type in the tip amount manually if the amount tipped isn’t an exact integer % of the subtotal. The lack of this feature means I can’t use Plates to settle up days later based on a picture of the receipt.

What happened to the share button???. I have loved using this app for the simplicity and quick ways to split large meals with friends. However, what happened to the share button at the end of the meal calculations? There is no easy way to send off the plate totals to friends anymore.

Need more details and tax is always wrong. There needs to be a way to manually enter tax and please add the ability to add names! When it’s a big group, things can get confusing.

Please add custom tip option!. I often use this app after we pay and having the ability to add in whatever tip amount i already paid with would be very helpful

Great app for groups. Great app for splitting with groups, but wish there was an option for additional taxes that are split up on the receipt. Right now, we have to add up all the taxes and input them as one tax on the app.

Name plates, Add more than 10. Love this app, it’s been so useful. But it would be much better if we could name the plates so we don’t get them confused. Also, I would like to add more than 10 plates.

Best app ever. I pull this out every time I go out with friends, and they're always impressed. Seriously, thank you for this app!

Best apps ever invented. Finally I dont have to pay for that 2 alcoholic drinks that I didnt have or the appetizer that I didnt touch because “Let’s just split it equally” - screw that!!!!!

Great start. This is a great first start. The major problem is that you cannot see the names assigned to the plates, which makes it problematic when you have more than two people in your party. If this is added, it would be the perfect app! Here’s to hoping!

Very needed app but still room for improvements. Nice app! I really need this sort of calculation in my life. Just some thoughts about features: - the ability to manually add tip value instead of using a percentage slider - sometimes the tip is applied after taxes so an ability to toggle that - allowing both portrait and landscape mode - in the future allowing receipt uploads + ML to parse the text and automatically enter in info about item amount, taxes, and tips Thanks again for creating this app! Extremely buggy and incomplete. Tapping on a plate lets you enter a name, but as soon as you hit Done it loses the name and resets to the default Person N. App does not support spilt screen on iPad so it’s impossible to view a picture of a receipt beside the app as you’re itemizing.

Nice tool!. Overall it’s a great app but something that I think it could add more value would be show the names of the people at the table

Great app!. Since Billr is gone this is a great alternative. Most apps only calculate tips or split bills evenly. I like how it asks for the total first and lets you know the remaining amount to assign to a plate. Will use this frequently!

The best tip app! But needs update to iPhone X. I love this app I use daily with friends for fun even though I don’t want to paid back. It’s easy to view what the total bill was and how much to tip. Must have for anyone who eats out frequently.

Love the app, huge potential. Id love to see some minor additions, namely: naming plates, a toggle for tip percentage including tax or not including tax, custom tip entering via keypad and a portrait mode.

Love this app!. I absolutely bleeping love this app - splitting checks is so easy with this thing I wish I knew about it earlier. Only suggestion is integrate this with Venmo for payments.

Very good. Only one demand. The app fullfills its purpose. But, as usual, the account items comes separately in the bill, obligating the user to open a calculator app to make the sum. So, I miss a sum resource when you launch each value for one person. Please add this resource.

Would be better if…. You could label the plates when inputting a bill! It’s hard to track which plate is who’s so I put a piece of paper under my phone to label them

Great app. Really enjoy this app and use it very often, but would appreciate a way to set custom tip values rather than only being able to choose values on the default slider that’s provided.

Meh!. I mean it works, but if they really wanted to take it to the next level you would have thought it would be able to analyze a pic of the bill and let you allocate it to the number of plates. Without this type of leap forward feature, I do not believe I will use it.

Great app, a few tweaks needed to make it excellent. Awesome app that is very easy to use, have used it quite a lot but have the following suggestions: - user should be able to ‘name’ the plates rather than just using the colour scheme (maybe even if you can just add initials for each diner). - ability to enter the tip amount rather than only being able to calculate the tip using the sliding scale function (e.g. this would work well if a round number is entered as the tip on the bill) Hope this helps and look forward to seeing some updates. Nice. Would be even better if you could name plates before even inputting the bill. Makes it easier to keep track of who ordered what. People are not always seated in the configuration that Plates shows.

Worked exceedingly well for me. Split a bill with four friends for a meal. This app helped me make sure everyone repaid me accurately, and performed very well. Will definitely use again!!

Needs an update. It works well, but it used to be better. Please bring back the feature of naming plates and the ability to text the individual receipt to each person in the party; that would be ideal for larger groups.

Love the app, but missing one feature.. App is great works perfectly, but one thing I wish it had would be a key pad for tip as well as the slide bar for percentages. Not everyone tips by percentages to the exact penny.

Don't eat out without it. Great app makes splitting bills with multiple people a joy instead of a hassling chore. Please keep the updates coming and continue the great work.

Excellent app. Was using a much more complicated app. Love the simplicity of this app and how easy and intuitive it is to use. Would give it 5 stars if you could optionally name the plates and also if you could have up to 20 guests.

Very useful app. This app is well-designed and very useful. Only thing I wish it had was an easy way to directly charge a "plate" to a friend on Venmo. Splitwise has a feature like that so seems like it wouldn't be too hard to add.

Can't label each person. This app is great with the exception of one very crucial and very simple fix. Why on Earth can't you label each "plate" if you have a large group? It's such a simple feature to add and it could make the world of difference. Would be a 5 star app otherwise.

Great app - new feature request. This app has come in so handy for dinners with friends. One feature I’d like to also see on it is the ability to enter a dollar amount as the tip instead of just percentages! Otherwise - great app.

Wish I Could Give Five Stars. Love this app, but wish I could see the final tally with my friends names and you can have an option to manually add the tip instead of going by percentage since we round up our tips. Extra bonus if could work with Splitwise.

please add manual tip amount + names. I love this app but it would be much more incredible if you could add in a manual amount for the tip (any number, because sometimes it’s not by a certain percentage). And also, IF WE COULD LABEL THE PLATES! Adding these two updates would make a world of difference.

Tip slider needs to GO. Simple and easy to use, but can you remove or fix that slider for tip? Sometimes it’s a $$ amount that we tip and NOT based off a percentage. Also, if you need to go back to the previous screen to change the subtotal or tax, can you eliminate the need to erase everything that you’ve already split? I had to start all over on separate occasions and it’s super annoying
