Notion Mail Comments & Reviews 2026

No navigation from one email to the next or previous. In a mobile email app, you have to be able to navigate from one email to the next or previous without returning to the inbox. That’s the most important feature for me, so will keep checking back for this feature because I want to use this app.

Great interface, but lacks unified inbox. It’s an incredible start, a very smooth and aesthetically pleasing app however, if you add multiple accounts, there’s no unified inbox.

Doesn’t work. Will not allow me to sign in to any emails. Basically an app that does nothing at the moment. I hope they fix it because I know it would be great. But for not it is completely and utterly useless.

Pointless. There's absolutely no reason to use this app. It's just a clone of Gmail. The ONLY thing I want this to do is add emails to notion like I can in the web version, but that doesn't exist here. I cannot for the life of me understand building an entire app that STILL doesn't give a way to put emails into notion. This should be basic number one functionality if you're not going to give us an email forwarding address like Evernote and other apps have. UGH. I really want to move my second brain into notion but there are some huge stumbling blocks, like this one.

Needs to work on an iPad. I really like Notion Mail which is why I hate given a bad rating. As soon as they ship an app that actually works on an iPad, I’ll change my rating. Sure, you can download the mobile app and open it on an iPad but it’s designed for a phone. In 2026, no app should work that way. Either design it to work on all devices or restrict what devices it can be used on.

Emails deletion. The emails never get fully deleted they stay in the inbox forever. I think this must be a bug or a glitch in the app itself. This needs to be fixed ASAP hopefully the developers are listening to this?

Currently Unusable. Mailbox can take a full minute to load, if it does at all. Most of the time I have to force quit the app and reopen to get the inbox to populate. Previous versions were much faster and the app showed a lot of promise, but it’s just not usable right now. I’ll keep checking in because Notion Calendar is great, so maybe this gets there eventually…

Smooth, simple, and fast!. A great companion to the web and desktop apps!!

Good start but please keep it up. I been waiting for this a while since I use Notion Mail custom views. So far it’s simple and carry my view over. It’s fast on my device. Something to improve: better notifications management, some AI compose features.

Truly disappointed. Love notion. Love notion calendar. This feels half baked. Constant refresh and rendering issues. Slow to switch between accounts. Filtered views don’t work as expected with Gmail tags and sent dates…the list goes on. Will be good when polished. Need to hire a new QA on the team.

It drains battery a lot making it useless. Every time when I open this app, it gets stuck at the launching page and seemed to be loading. After a few seconds it loaded the content and ate up 1% battery. Plus, my battery health is 100% and I only have one mail account here.

Can’t show a combined inbox. Gmail app lets you see your emails from all your account inboxes in one view. Notion Mail instead only lets you view one account inbox at a time. This is unacceptable. I’m giving it 1-star rating until this is fixed for both iOS and macOS apps. I hope this motivates the team. I encourage others to leave the same 1-star review until they fix this.

Disappointed. For being a Notion product, I’m really disappointed in the mobile app. It seems like they rushed the release and haven’t really done much to fix all the bugs and quirks since the initial release. I’m going back to Gmail on my phone until the Notion Mail app gets significantly better.

There’s Potential. I really wanted this to be good but it just isn’t yet. Slow switching between inboxes. Random filters auto applying themselves. No way to bulk delete emails without crashing the app. Notion is incredible and I’m sure this will get there but I cannot use this anymore until they smooth it out. Still love notion and notion calendar.

Issues with laptop vs phone. Got a great framework but man it needs a lot of work…. I’m not sure why notion is so darn slow to fix these issues…. I need my emails to be filtered with my AI filters on my app on my phone too… not just on my laptop. I should be able to customize what emails I want to see on my phone but I can’t. I have to open my laptop just to customize.. and then nothing gets changed on my app (emails I don’t want to see still showing up in my inbox…) Also you can’t use multiple emails together in one inbox… suckssssss!!!! Man notion you gotta fix these issues!

Requires use of Gmail. I have an account under my business email and yet this app requires me to sign in using Google even after I logged in with my work email address. I’ll just continue using the message functionality within the Notion app.

Slow. Kinda slow processing through the app. Love notion so I’d like it to work out but it’s hard. App will crash occasionally when I open it. And switching between Gmail accounts is sometimes tediously slow. Opening email from lock screen is slow to open and to mark as read in the app. It’s a less robust feature set than desktop app for sure.

Where’s the iPad app?. I’ve been very excited about both this and the calendar app, but both are missing a dedicated iPad app. With the growing number of people working almost exclusively on iPads I would think (or hope) Notion would push out a real app for iPad on par with their great Notes app. I hope this is coming soon, but considering how long they’ve now owned and have been operating the Notion Calendar app since it’s Cron days without pushing an iPad app, I’m unfortunately not too optimistic.

A start. This app is nice and clean but lacks some features that make a good mail app. A unified inbox is one. There also seems to be a much reduced feature set compared to the desktop app, I hope they add feature parity soon and add features most other email apps have. I’ve also noticed this cannot be set as the default mail app.

Needs work…. I wanted this to be good, and it could be. But it’s a ways off from where it needs to be. Unfortunately there are way too many bugs for it to be used reliably right now. A few things need fixed before I’d consider using it again. 1. Support a unified inbox, or at the very least if it’s staying separate it’s got to be faster to switch between accounts. It is impossibly slow to switch, especially on my Mac. 2. Offer cross platform support for iPad, not a small iOS app version that doesn’t work well with a trackpad or keyboard. 3. Fix the bugs. Recently I’ve been getting duplicate notifications for every single email and that’s impossible to deal with. Also, there have been two times in the past week where it has removed all of my accounts except for one and made me add them all back in. It had potential, but it wasn’t ready to be released yet by any standards. Maybe in a few years it’ll be ready.

Simple and smooth. I like it! It’s simple and smooth. The layout is clean as well. Noticed 1 email has a scaling issue. Overall is good!

Love Notion — App needs a lot of work. I love using Notion, but the app needs a lot of work from a stability perspective. Frequently have to log out and back in. Hard to mark all emails as read. Various other bugs as well.

I really wanted to like this app. I’ve been dying to replace my Gmail app for quite some time. As a long-time Notion user, I desperately wanted to like this. However, the app is borderline unusable. It crashes constantly — usually when it’s trying to load new mail, but even sometimes when you’re in the middle of composing a message. This app was not ready for public use, which is a trend I’ve been noticing more frequently with Notion and their new features.

Still Very Buggy. I love that Notion Mail has finally arrived for iOS but this was not ready to leave beta testing in my opinion. I have at least one issue every single day that I use the app, whether it’s new emails refusing to load, emails displaying blank pages, or the view function not displaying emails with a certain label. I’m constantly having to restart the app or wait a few minutes and then come back. I’d like to be able to delete the Gmail app on my phone but I can’t rely on this app to reliably deliver my emails.

Good app! ✨. So far it’s great! Though, I do have 3 suggestions that might make the app better: 1. If I could connect more than one email without having to connect another Notion account, that would be nice. I wanted to connect my work/school email & my personal email, but I don’t have a separate Notion account for work/school. I just use the same Notion account for everything to keep things simple. 2. I did notice that my labels that were nested inside each other (imported from Gmail) were not nested anymore. I don’t know if that makes sense so for example; I had a label named “Companies” and the label nested under it was “Google” when it was in Gmail. Notion changed it where instead of being nested, it is now “Companies/Google”. That’s fine, except I would like it better if there was a way to nest labels inside each other (into categories and subcategories like Gmail has), so that I could micro-organize because I like to do that lol. 3. I noticed in the pictures for Notion mail on the app store showed that in the menu there are views for certain labels. I didn’t find this feature anywhere and there aren’t any settings or anything that I can find that would add this feature. I don’t know if I just missed it or if it’s something Notion is planning to add, but I’d like to have that. Especially with the special icons, that looked so cool in the pictures! But it is super great to have my mail organized, and usually it’s hard for me to organize my emails in gmail, but Notion mail makes it simple and fun! I also love that it’s connected to my Notion stuff and I can easily turn emails into tasks, etc. I’m excited to see all the new features that are added to the app as they get more feedback and stuff!

Close but needs work. Notion mail on desktop is a great inbox, the mobile version is lacking. Can’t add categories or sort on the mobile version (unless I missed something) and I really wish I could have all my Gmail inboxes under one roof and have them neatly organized. I have two notion accounts for different companies I work for, and I’d love to have a more seamless connection for my inboxes. Excited that this app is out but likely won’t use it until they make some big updates! Love the notion team, keep up the good work.

Not a finished product yet. I love Notion but this mail app lacks a lot of features. The link in email comes up as plain text. Hope the team fix it and add more features. Looking forward to it.

Doesn’t work for me. I love notion, notion calendar, and even default to notion mail on my desktop. But…this app does not work. It doesn’t load my inbox. I’ve provided extensive feedback, was even in the beta of the app, but my issue was never addressed. I have a feeling it’s because I added a priority property to my inbox, but since I never had anyone try to figure it out, I really can’t say. Oh well.

Notion Mail is so pretty. So cool Notion now has an email app! I love how aesthetic it looks and how I can now use Notion Mail on my phone. So much nicer than Gmail

Lots of Potential 🫡. I don’t think people realize what’s happening here… Notion Mail is that app. It’s early, it’s raw, but the vision is massive. The idea that my email can finally live in the same universe as my tasks, notes, and projects — all inside Notion — is game-changing. It’s not perfect yet, but honestly that’s the fun part. You can feel where this is going. If they keep pushing, this could end up being one of those apps we look back on in a year and say, “wow, I was there when it first launched.” As someone who runs everything in Notion, I can say this: the potential here is off the charts. Don’t sleep on it. 🚀

Close but needs work. This app is getting there, but it needs some work. Also longing for a full iPad app.

This app is almost great. I’m into simplicity, things that look clean and work great, and notion meets that for my productivity. Im using notion to organize myself and business and wanted notion mail as my business email app, to stay in the family. I’ve been collecting some feedback since I started using it a few months ago, feel free to let me know if anything has already been fixed: - Embedded links to text not available on mobile - Ability to edit a scheduled email on mobile - Bug where I trash mail and it stays behind and goes to mail, so there’s 2 of the same one now. - Bug where I move an email to inbox but it stays in the same place (spam or one of my named views) - Unable to figure out how to add new named views directly from Mobile - Way to edit notification sound for this specific app is not available - Emails will take at least one minute to send but not give you the option to cancel. Then it continues to say sending even after it sent. I always have to restart the app to make it go away,on mobile - Named views seem to be attached to the login, not the account. Every time I log out on my computer, all the named views are permanently deleted, and then I have to remake them. I should be able to log out and log back in and keep all named views, because sometimes the app is not working properly and I need to log out of my account and log back in. - There’s no iPad app, please work on making this a fully supported app on iPad/tablet also Other than that, thanks for this app and for continuing to update it!

a really great app. i think where other email apps fall short and where notion mail excels is in design and fluidity. the app is intuitive to use, animations feel fluid, and i think the experience is really beautiful. i’m happy with where the app is at right now, and i hope for continued improvements in the near future! i would love to see “/“ commands from notion be integrated into the mobile app like how it is on the desktop app, and also an app for ipad!

Doesn’t fully function. After installing Notion Mail on my Mac, I was excited to add it to my phone. Sadly, it just doesn’t work. It seems to sync the Labels I set up on my Mac, but nothing else. The Inbox is always empty even though when I log in on Mac there are emails there. I also can’t seem to setup any Labels on iOS. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, logging out and back in, restarting all devices, etc. and the problem persists. I now have no choice but to uninstall it because I can’t trust that I am not missing emails.

Needs a true ALL inbox. I love the notion feel inside my email, but until I can see all the inbox emails from all 3 of my email addresses at once like the Gmail iOS app, I find this too inconvenient to use. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future update.

Optimization for iPad (mini). Notion Email is among the best email apps I ever tried. Unfortunately, this app’s compatibility with iPad is terrible. I believe it will get better after several updates in the future. But for the moment, it is not good enough.

Performance and reliability issues. While the UI design is good overall, Notion Mail has a lot of performance and reliability issues.

“Meh” for now, but OK. Really hoping Notion puts more eggs in this basket b/c it really has a lot of potential! It’s true, it’s pretty glitchy, but in a way that seems like it could easily be fixed if they put more effort into it. My guess is it’s possibly treated like the B string team, second to the main Notion app.

Love the framework, but it’s early. I really do love the whole system that Notion provides, but I haven’t really understood how this integrates with Notion as well. Adding multiple email addresses and filtering and loading seemed somewhat awkward and slow. I’m sure they’ll get to a great place but it’s just not there yet.

Still lacking in ways that matter. This still misses the mark in things that matter to me on a personal mail front. Why does everything Notion fall behind on mobile?? Where is the Outlook integration already? I’ll continue using Hey email as I’ve yet to see anything get it right like it does.

Potential, but buggy. It’s a clean looking app, but I can’t reply to any email right now due to a bug. I also want to be able to select multiple messages at once and take an action, like you can in the mail app.

Too many bugs. Notion’s app have too many bugs. Why is that? They have too many apps and under invest in them. Just focus on the core Notion app instead of building mail and calendar apps that barely work

Needs more work. The app was okay to start off with, but lately, it’s been very buggy on iOS. In general, it’s so slow in loading an inbox, and more recently it doesn’t load my most recent emails. This renders the app effectively useless in keeping up with emails. Also, the lack of a unified inbox in 2026 is insane. I love the simplicity of this app, but it needs a ton of work. Since launch, it doesn’t seem like Notion has put many resources into improving it, which is a shame.

Fantastic, but where are / functions?. Amazing app! I’m sure they’ll get this sorted but would love the slash functionality the other apps have. Been needing an email client like this for a while.

Too buggy to rely on. The vision and promise of an email client that’s seamlessly connected to my Notion workspace is clear and appealing, especially as AI and agents enter the scene. But the app, at present, is simply unreliable. And by that I mean: it’ll go days (weeks?) without fetching my inbox, it will ‘forget’ to send emails that I send and they just hang in drafts, and deleting batches of emails often just fails entirely. Notion, please get it together.

Getting There. I’m completely integrated in the Notion system so I’m really excited about this. I hope you all integrate with Microsoft soon. I wish there was a way to train the AI to do better sorting. If something ends up in the wrong category, there’s no way for me to move it. And why are all of my different inboxes divided up? Why can’t I have categories that apply to all of them?

Buggy. Really trying my best to like this app but its really buggy on the iphone some emails dont load. When you hit notifications when they come in and the app opens it takes forever for the email to up at times. The Aesthetic is nice though.

Super slow and buggy. It’s like going back in time. Where emails take forever to load and problems occur regularly. Going back to Gmail app. Just awful.

Good start but please keep it up. A nice start but more work is needed tho!

Good Start. Add a combined mail section. Having to go account by account to load mail is a bit much.

Not refreshing. DOES NOT WORK, I can see the notifications but can’t update the emails, this is ridiculous as an email app, even though it has excellent interface, neat and clean, doesn’t has useless functions that I don’t need. But, really need to work on the updating issues, it happens too often recently.

Ipad App. Can you please update the app so that it is fully functioning on the ipad and iphone. If not then please allow the ipad app to access the online version and not block the browser and forcing us to use an inferior app. I use an ipad pro 90% of the time for work and only login via the Macbook in the evening. Its 2026, not difficult.

Great email integration with Notion workflow. Really impressed with how seamlessly this connects my email to my Notion workspace. Makes it so much easier to turn emails into tasks and keep everything organized in one place. The interface is clean and intuitive - exactly what I needed to streamline my workflow. Highly recommend if you’re already using Notion for productivity.

Syncing Issues with Gmail. Still experiencing a lot of syncing issues with Gmail. Constant “error with account please log in again” when I’ve tried multiple times.

Need outlook/ exchange to be useful. I get the idea, but needs Exchange pls. We’re all paying for your business plan. Needs business email.

Help. Hi guys, I desperately want to use this app but I’m having major syncing issues. Especially using more than one Gmail account. And yes I’ve updated today.

Crashes. Love notion. But this app instantly crashes. I’ve gone back three times over the past few months to check if they’ve fixed it, but no.

Please allow notification sound customisation.. Otherwise decent app. Would be nice to swipe through reading emails quicker like gmail can.

Plez make an iPad app. Pls

Bad company. They charged us for licenses we never used

Best email app. This is the best email app. A little bit buggy but this is the beginning!

Don’t bother. Can’t open email or switch accounts. Don’t bother

Simple and beautiful. The app is super simply designed but at the same time it’s pretty. AI organization of mails is super convenient and keeps everything neat, the feature works well as long as you put in 20 minutes of effort in telling the AI what mails you consider to be in which categories. It’s a Cher nice refresher to have an app that feels very simple to use.

Overall good app. I thought I can create a custom business email

Buggy. My emails aren’t showing up even when I restart the app several times. Just a blank white inbox.

Unable to open any email. For the last week I’ve been unable to open any emails I receive. My push notifications come through but then the app can’t open the email. If I go through the inbox view it shows me all my emails, but clicking into any email fails to load. I feel like I also need Gmail installed to bail out Notion Mail

No iPad version. Less AI bs and make a iPad version of this and calendar.

No iPad app. That only have iPhone version no iPad app

Okay. Notion mail is pretty good so far but must do a better job at screening emails that are spam, promotions, socials and actually important.

Slow. Slow, buggy, and too many loading screens

Can’t see any email. Am I the only one who can’t actually see any emails in my inbox using the iOS app? The Mac and web apps work fine.

Hurting the Notion Brand. It is obvious you are not serious about mail or calendar so give it up. These half baked apps are already hurting your brand. Focus on your core product before it’s too late.

iPad????. Please for the love of god make it compatible with iPad!!! Same with Calendar!!! Love Notion though.

absolute garbage. everything wrong with this country. I build apps and the founder of Notion is worth 5 BILLION and this mail app works and interacts with Google accounts as well as oil and water. absolutely unacceptable.

Extremely buggy n raw. Keeps crashing and multi-account add is being painful. Quite disappointed and I use Notion daily for other stuff

Beautiful app 🤌. So nice

Love it!. Big supporter of Notion's apps, and this one is no exception!

This app SUCKS. *stuck in outbox*. In 20 years of email clients, this is the first time since dial up internet that an app/client can’t reliably send an email. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had. Appx 25% of emails sent get stuck “sending.” And what’s worse is they just stay there…. Gone from any other client, not a draft, not sent, not in outbox. Don’t waste your time. While the desktop app is not bad, the iOS client is horrendous. I can’t believe they release a product this buggy.

“Never miss an email”. “Never miss an email” There is no way to turn on notifications. The option does not show up in Settings. Pasted photos don’t show for recipients Entire app is just a blank page now. Error connecting

Primitive, Needs work. App is missing basic functionality such as filtering and muting inbox, threaded email, smart filters, url links, embedded url previews.

Cannot log in. I love Notion but I cannot log in at all, every time I try to connect a Gmail account it shows an error and asks to try again

Can make the screen responsive for tablets?. It is very difficult to use on iPad, nor is the web version open for tablet use.

Not flexible. It’s essentially Gmail on another app interface. You can’t use any other login
