Auslan Wiz - Sign Language Comments & Reviews 2026

AMAZING APP. This app is amazing, so early to learn Auslan and remember the words. We are spending an hour each night easy just by learning new words. You won’t be disappointed.

💰 A universe of opportunities: Payoneer

Helpful but expensive. This is a helpful app for refreshing my auslan but I hate that you have to subscribe to unlock everything or keep accessing it. I would much rather have it as a once off purchase to buy everything rather than paying $130 every year just to keep access. For that amount of money I could go to actual in person courses and get live feedback.

Learning. This app sooooooo good, Now i can actually start conversations with my my siblings since im the only hearing that doesnt listen lol, All 3 of my siblings are half deaf, i know my young sis has low frequency loss, anyways, beside the point, Great app, “Deaf”innately Reccomended

Pretty good. I think this app is amazing in teaching all the signs in a wonderful way by showing kids with videos and interactive lessons but one thing that is super annoying is that after you’ve learnt a couple signs they ask you pay. And it’s expensive! I mean I guess it’s worth it but still! So in conclusion, I think that it’s an amazing website if your willing to pay around $11 a month

SO WORTH IT. This app has developed my Auslan skills astronomically!! I'm learning Auslan for a school assignment, and this app has made it actually fun to learn. It's a steep price, but i think it is worth every penny. My only issue is that I'm almost done with all the modules, and will be left bored without anything to do after I'm finished!!

Amazing, user-friendly app. This is such a well-designed app!🎉It’s like DuoLingo for Auslan, but with no annoying sounds, because it’s sign language! 🤩The length of lessons and well-timed encouragement is just what I need to keep going. Thank you!! 😁

More than Brilliant. It’s my first time writing a review and just want to complement how great this app is. I have always wanted to learn sign language. This app provides such clear instruction and easy-following practices! I really hope I can make friends with people who use sign language and communicate with them too!

Helpful study resource. This is really useful for beginners. It’s starts out simply with useful phrases and builds from there. Dion’s signing is very clear and easy to follow. They also have excellent NMF which supports sign acquisition. There’s a sense of achievement as you work through the lessons/levels.

PLEASE LABEL THINGS!. Every time I try to learn Auslan, I hit the same issue. I don't know which hand to use. People just say "use your dominant hand", but there are exceptions all over the place so that's not really helpful. And, I can't tell anywhere if the video is mirrored or not. Can you PLEASE just label the left and right hands, or dominant and non-dominant hands?!

It's a Start. I have been using this app for 3-4hours and found at least 10+ mistakes where it was telling me the answer was wrong despite the captioned sign being the correct one. Which considering it costs $139AUD a year to use. That's crazy. It also neglects to teach when signs have alternate versions (it only teaches northern dialect)

Useful app. The app makes learning Auslan very easy and the videos and the lessons are fun. The ‘see the conversation’ parts of the lesson were also very useful.

Best app I’ve found for learning basic AUSLAN. I’ve finished it all. Love the conversation sections and where I speak with the automated tutor. Genuine innovation over Duolingo. Would love too see some improvements. Many of the choices are super obvious, there are a few bugs to iron out and might want to integrate automatic revision. A bit short. Easy to finish in one month but will keep on using to revise while my subscription expires. Will keep for longer for more content.

Amazing!. This app is amazing! I’ve recently been diagnosed as HOH and I’ve been looking for a decent app to learn Auslan. The set up is very much like other language learning apps, which makes it really good. Highly recommend!

Pls make more available when you don’t pay. I like this app a lot it’s amazing and it helps me but I feel like the prices are a little bit too high and if you don’t pay, you can’t really learn and that’s really disappointing because I felt like I was doing so well

Amazing. Even for free I went through a whole lesson step by step and it was very helpful if I could I’d give it a 10/10

Best Beginners Auslan Course. So glad this exists! Thank you! A bit buggy, like the tab controls and buttons being too close to the bottom of the screen on iOS, and videos sometimes not loading. Otherwise, beautifully designed and fun!

My Review. This is an amazing app! I think the only thing that I would find a flaw is that sometimes when you press ‘Start a Lesson’, it sometimes says “Uh-oh! Something Has Gone Wrong”, which can be very frustrating when you are eager to start learning. Otherwise, this is an amazing app and I would definitely recommend it!

Great app, would love a family payment option. Thank you for this great app! My wife and I are learning as a safety net for my failing hearing. It’s really empowering to have a practical way to prepare. The lessons are clear, simple and easy to learn from. I’ve got friends and family who would also be willing to learn, but won’t pay this much for it. If you could have a family plan so I wasn’t paying several hundred dollars for my community to be able to keep communicating with me, that would be the cherry on top!

I like this app. I really like this app because it helping me know more Auslan and if I ever see someone that’s deaf I could make there day and sign to them and also I learn it at school.

Really good but…. I love this app because it’s easy to learn and the animations are adorable but you can only learn an okay amount of signs until they make you pay :( You guys should up your game when it comes to money

Soooo much fun and sooooo easy to use.. This app is so much fun to do. Such an entertaining way to learn. Although my skill level is way past what I’ve learnt so far, I’m still having so much fun and looking forward to seeing the next levels. Thank you awesome developers. Great job. I just hope it provides a lot more advanced content and fingerspelling sections. I’ll have to wait and see as I go through all the levels. 😁

I need to know. So in the thing it doesn’t allow me to ask questions. Not only that but I am in Darwin and if this is for Queenslanders then my girlfriend will hate me I use to be fluent but not anymore. I was fluent 4-5 years ago I’m 13 now turning 14 this year

Excellent! Great content and a great app!. Has a very similar feel to other language learning apps and is just as well made as all the best ones available! The information is very clear and the lessons are easy to follow. It has good motivational tools as you progress learning without being over the top, not excessive on notifications but has a streak counter etc. Very well thought out and easy to retain information learnt in the lessons. I’m so excited to learn Auslan and I’m so glad this app exists.

Very helpful. I found this app really helpful, I have only just started to learn auslan and this app has been really helpful and I really great learning resource, highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn

So far so great!. I didn’t realize how quick I would pick it up, highly recommend!

Love but has It’s faults. I absolutely love the app although it has got it’s faults. I’ve had constant glitches and problems. It’s so hard to get them fixed because communication with the company is really poor. At the moment my ‘quiz’ and ‘flashcard’ sections are broken which is really frustrating. Love love love the app. Although effort does need to go into communication with users, and fixing problems in the app. I’ve had trouble with these two things many times now.

Easy Peasy. So easy to use. I’m learning for my 6 month old son and I’ve got customers at work I would like to communicate with, to make it easy for them to have a nice conversation with!

Really great!!. It's super easy to learn and repeats signs over and over so that you can learn. You can always go back to things you've forgotten too!!! Only wish the free trial thought more than s just greetings and letters

Great format. Building on the duo model this app captures the visual elements of Auslan well through clearly composed videos and simple progressions. We look forward to seeing more levels developed soon 🖐️

Brilliant Thank you!!. Thank you for providing an easy to learn format and platform for learning Auslan. I am 39years old and have adhd and Also asd and i am surprised at how quickly i am picking it up! Also i usually find it hard to sit for long periods with a single task, but the method of delivery of these lessons is holding my ficus and keeping me interested to learn more. Great app and i will be recommending it to others as i feel this is and important skill for all to have for inclusion and communication with aussies who are non-verbal and/or hearing impaired . I am inspired to use this app in conjunction with an accredited course to eventually become fluent in Auslan and possibly look into being of service to others as an interpreter. Thanks for the inspiration! This app makes learning fun and easy with lots of positive reinforcement along the way. Download and have fun with it guys !! Thanks for reading my review ❤️😊

Amazing. I love this app and soon after using it I got the subscription, it makes learning so much fun and makes everything easy to understand.

Review. I really like the app it’s amazing but I don’t like the paid stuff but I understand money don’t just appear so I respect it I think it’s helped me learn Auslan and I can’t wait to learn more

IT IS AMAZING. First it helps you get words by showing you a short video of a guy doing a sign and mouthing it and you need to choose the sign and once you choose a few different signs they put all those into a sentence and there you go! You learned one new sentence is auslan (Australian sign language)

So far so good: seems in depth and accurate!. Auslan Wiz works like other language learning apps, with good polish on the UI and accurate signs. What I appreciate the most are the explanations behind some of the jargon used to describe signs, and taking the time to differentiate Auslan from English, particularly in terms of grammar.

Loving it so far. Nice and slow paced learning with lots of looking back on things already learnt. Gives you a chance to really get familiar with signs without overloading on info

Good but not enough!!. I decided to learn Auslan for fun and I downloaded this app and saw it was paid for after a week, which I don’t mind too much. The only problem is I finished all the lessons in a day 😅 I’ve been redoing the lessons and constantly doing the quizzes and flashcards but I don’t want to pay for the subscription if I’m not learning anything new. Overall the app is great!! I actually learned stuff and can confidently say I can remember all the signs, but I just wish I could keep advancing

Auslan Wiz. It’s simple and clear. I like how it randomly repeats signs to help remember them. Also, it is in small bites so busy people can pick it up and not be bogged down. Worth a try for everyone!

Love this app. Great refresher as I get ready to start Auslan 2. Easier to use than any other language app I’ve seen. And not too slow or fast

Amazing!!. I’ve got a 5 day streak and feel like I’ve already learnt so much, it’s very simple to learn with how they’ve handled each sign. And each sign is repeated until you’ve learnt it well enough. A bit like a Duolingo for sign language 😂 I’d definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn.

Easy to understand and follow. Love love this it’s so easy to understand and if u want to keep practicing the sign you can get the teacher to repeat and you can go as slow or as quick you want. And you can go back if you have forgotten a sign as well

Auslan Wiz is amazing. It’s really good and helps you super fast. I found that I couldn’t do Auzland a few days ago but now in three x days I can already do the alphabet and some words my opinion is the best for helping you learn. Azlan. My sister does it at school and it’s just helping so much with me learning it.

Read. I am 10 years old and thx to this app I had a full conversation with a death man about the same age as my dad it is so super helpful

Pretty good. Pretty good but extremely expensive, no personalised account settings or months to months option but 2lots of 3months or a yr and both say ASL in settings not Auslan 🤷🏻‍♀️ Multiple choice when also giving you extra info that you have to choose one of their options even if it’s something you wouldn’t respond with and no skip options, a slower option but no faster Over all though seems to be a good way to pick it up whether you’re starting from scratch or brushing up on old skills

Amazing so far!!. I have literally just started about 20 minutes ago and I am already loving it. I am hearing impaired who has played with the deaf games where I have met many people who are fluent in sign language. Looking back at some of the basics I have noticed I’ve seen these before and it’s really started to help me remember. “Oh yea that’s right” or “oh yes I’ve seen that before now I know what it means!”

Hearing impaired and impressed. This is the best app for Auslan I’ve found I’m so impressed and have learned so much as someone recently losing hearing I highly recommend.

Awesome. I spontaneously decided to take up another language, this time one without words. It’s been so helpful I can already ask people what their names are and how they are!! Took me like 30 minutes, super easy and totally recommend

I’m learning so much. This is a perfect app for learning Auslan and is one of the only ones I have found that actually teaches you. One of my family members is deaf and this app really helps me talk to her

New user. I am hearing my sister and her two children are hard of hearing/hearing impaired I’ve taken to using this app and it has helped me a lot already to learn the basics of how to start a conversation it is very thorough and is super fun to learn definitely recommend

Great app! Just a few bugs…. I just got the app and have found it very engaging so far. I studied Auslan for 6 years but have since let the vocabulary slip from my memory, this app has helped me remember so many of the signs I have since forgotten. However, every now and then there would be a bug like questions repeating themselves or videos refusing to play, whenever I switch tabs during a lesson the videos then freeze and I have to guess the answer (this could totally be an issue with my device though). Other than that, would totally recommend this app to anyone eager to learn Auslan. 👍

Educational AND engaging!. It’s like Duolingo for sign language! I’ve often used Auslan Tutor, which is more like a dictionary with words and videos, but less interactive to quiz, recall, give feedback on wrong or right ✅ This app also really engages with other aspects of language and culture 🤟 helping educate what makes Auslan unique, not only to spoken English and other sign languages!

It’s good some down sides. Over all it’s great but I have some issues with glitches and bugs when trying to watch videos and I wish everything was available without having to pay
