Never left an app review before, so happy!. You guys have no idea how long I wanted to get rid of the algormitic short form content on YouTube, I had to delete every app on my phone, instagram, Facebook, etc. The only app I actually need is YouTube so I can watch videos and stuff sometimes but I kept finding myself scrolling through the shorts, finally theres a solution for this thank you guys so much for developing this!
YYESSSSSSS. I am so sick and tired of algorithmic content in YT and twitter, and today I discovered and my mind is at ease. I have been fine tuning my yt and twitter experiences for SOO long, and this and the twitter control panel as well make it feel like I’m in H E A V E N. THANK YOU SO MUCH JB!!
Doesn’t hide comments, works otherwise. I saw that the developer of the google AI overview blocker app made this, so decided to try it out. I mainly got this app to see if I could hide comment sections, since I spend too much time interacting with those. There is an option to hide them. I’ve toggled it on and off, made sure the extension is enabled in settings and safari, and checked my wifi. Sadly, this feature does not work. However, I tried out several of the other features, like hiding recommendations and ads, and they all work perfectly. I would like it more if hiding comments worked, but I would still recommend this app as the dozens of other features definitely provide your money’s worth.

Background play doesn’t work. The 2 main features I need: 1 - remove shorts 2 - allow background play I pay for YouTube to avoid ads, but shorts are toxic so I can’t use the YouTube app. Instead I use browsers. I’d prefer to stay in Safari (hence grabbing this tool) but sadly background playback doesn’t work, so for now I need to stick with Brave
