remarkably well designed interface. I am a user interface designer. I have not submitted an app review in years, and yet I felt compelled to add this. While the app is a fairly simple app, it is extremely well designed - one of the very best I’ve seen: 1) it employs a very clever method to specify the location from which you’ll be viewing the eclipse, and 2) The crystal clear depiction of where the eclipse will be passing through your state is clever and clear. I love seeing great design – well done team.

Great Community Resource. This is a fantastic resource for our community and all the visitors planning to come to Houlton for the 2024 total solar eclipse. With customized information like star parks, potential parking AND a complete event listing where I can save the events I’m interested in attending to my Home Screen this is my go to app for the festival weekend. Not only is all that information key to getting the most out of my experience, let’s talking about the eclipse timer! GPS enabled so it will notify me down to the second based on my real location when it’s safe to take off my glasses and when to put them back on. Even if the cell phone towers go down because of too many visitors I can depend on the countdown to be accurate because it’s based on my GPS location!

If you want a cloudless eclipse…. Then get this app! My goal for the 2024 eclipse is to go to where the least amount of cloud cover will be. This app shows all your potential spots with cloud coverage percentage! Nice to see them all on one page without having to search for each town you’re considering going to. Remember: one little rogue cloud flying by at the wrong time can totally mess up your eclipse view! See you in the town with the least amount of clouds on eclipse day!!

It won’t open. Does not work on my iPhone

Not able to use. This is not what I was expecting. You cannot use the app, unless you are in the path of totality. Most Americans are not in the path of totality, but would like information aboutViewing times, and other information from their location. This may work for some, but not for most.

Only good in path of totality. Unfortunately, a pretty useless app unless you plan on being in the path of totality. Was hoping to enter our home location to get info on the eclipse. You can only enter places on the path of totality and nothing else

Love this app for eclipse info!. This is a great app for lots of eclipse info. Easy to locate towns with a quick view of totality duration from the map list. If you expand further there’s so much info included. Easy to add viewing locations to then determine your prime spot. In addition, the customer service was fantastic. Within a few minutes of asking to add some additional locations it was done. I also received a friendly email notifying me ! Get the app! Don’t miss out on this historic event!!

Great app, but one question. It’s a great app, but can it also work with lunar eclipses as well?

It’s awesome. It’s awesome because it actually shows how many hours and days away! At the moment (6:32 PM) it’ll happen in 3 days and 18 hours!! I’m so glad I found this app. I was on the eclipse2024.org website and that’s how I found this and I’m so grateful

So much helpful and fun information!. I definitely geeked out at all the neat info provided through this app! I wasn’t sure if I could make it to a prime spot, but after spending some time checking out all the neat things going on I feel like I can’t not make it a priority to go! So user friendly and it really is the best place to find the best place to go!

Buggy and over all bad UX. Cannot set a location either from the pin on the map or selecting a community. Doesn’t appear to let you search by address or enter lat/long coordinates. Given that the very basic premise of the app is not functioning, I can’t give it anything other than 1 - star. (I even “upgraded” to the pro version. Relatively small expense but insulting nonetheless).

Useless. Only works in the path of totality.

Addons 👎. Nice app but just another app attracting you in so you’ll pay the money for time countdown and cloud forecast.

Crashes. I paid $4 for the full version of this app. When i try yo add my viewing spot it gives me an error message to try again later and I’m left with a blank screen. When I try to save a community the app crashes completely and I’m back on my home page. It’s not worth downloading and definitely not worth paying for the pro version.

Pro version for timer. Seriously? For a timer? Just find the time and set an alarm clock. This app is a money grab.
