Princess Cruises Comments & Reviews 2026

Would Expect a Whole Lot More from Princess. Princess claims to be ahead of the technology game with Medallion Net so I would expect the one and only tool Princess directs is to use is full of faults. Granted I can do pre-cruise checkins but we have 12 upcoming cruises and 2 are back to back and 3 are back to back to back and this app only allows you to visit excursions, make dining reservations and view itineraries on the 1st leg of any of the multiple cruises. We have a back to back on different ships and again, I can only see excursions or make dining plans on the first of the 2 cruises. Even though we are on different ships! Old app had numerous problems but there were ways to navigate through app to get things done albeit app was very slow to load. This app is way slower and useless in many of the needed functions. I have had to rely on using the online webpage and using my planner at Princess. I think if they are going to push us to use this app starting today (3/8), they should have made it much more usable then it is now.

App is useless as well as customer support. If the app is any indication of our upcoming cruise, we’re in trouble. Not looking forward to it! Very frustrating app, especially trying to book Specialty Restaurant reservations for 7 people. The app wants to charge me for 2 people when we all have Premier Packages. Customer support is useless, I got different responses (with no resolution) when calling their 800#, which is a giant call center where most cannot speak English well enough to communicate. No one was not helpful or knew what their talking about. One person in our group can’t even get the app to reflect the cruise reservation so he can enter his travel checklist. With so many complaints Princess obviously does not invest in correcting their app or educated customer service reps. This will be the last time I sail Princess and I haven’t been on the cruise yet!

App Needs Work. We're on our cruise now and the app doesn't show our reserved excursions, nor can we view any excursion information on the website since the cruise is underway. We can reserve additional excursions but the app shows no itinerary details. We'd like to make specialty dining reservations but the app couldn't show us the menu. App showed an error when trying to confirm dining reservations. When my spouse adds an activity to our calendar, it sometimes takes an hour or so before it shows up on my "journey". When asking the app to take me to a specific location, the app lists the steps but doesn't update my current location. Lots of room for improvement. Prior to the cruise we ordered our medallions via the app and those were never shipped to us either.

Horrible App. If I could give this app zero stars I would. Difficult to navigate and consistently showing erroneous information on the app. I pre-booked all of my dining which you’re forced to do through this app and everything looked fine in the app a few months ago. Suddenly half of the reservations disappeared in the app. Contacting Princess through customer service is a nightmare, and generally agents are poorly trained. I had to go an alternate route to figure out what was going on with my dining. Everything was fine behind the scenes and the app is the problem. That seems to be a consistent message from all areas that this is the app is not ready for customers. In my opinion, this app is beta testing against customers.

It’s a Joke. This app is a joke. I thought the first Ocean Ready / Medallion app was bad but by the last cruise I used it on it was actually working. But then came version two. We booked a cruise in July and were able to enter all our data and became green lane ready. Then about a month and a half later I went in to check what time our dining reservation was and found ALL of my information gone. And I mean all. The only thing there was the cruise reservation. However, everything was just fine on my wife’s app. Called Princes and started the process of re-entering the information. Some data it would not let me enter, but we managed to eventually get it entered. I could not link to out dining companions on our dining reservation (though my wife could) and could not enter a payment method (credit card) though it clearly was present on my wife’s app. They even charged $10 for medallion shipping to the card. My wife was able to get us back with our dining group. For the last three weeks I have been trying to get my charge card entered with no success. Six calls to Princess, who referred it to the “back office” (Ocean Ready) has not resolved a thing. Two weeks out and I am still blue lane while my wife is green lane. The app is more advertising for onboard upgrades and services than help for getting required information entered. The whole process is just a joke, starting with the app.

Horrific. Firestone Princess Cruise, and day 1 was a nightmare. We spent the entire first day of our cruise rebooking everything. The line for “guest services” was worse than anything you’ve ever experienced at Disney! It seems the Princess “system” was responsible for cancelling all of our pre-paid bookings, including our premier package. The more than $2000 spent and verified by receipts in hand was unexplainably just gone within the last 24 hours. We would now be required to rebook and repay for this while someone stateside at the office tried to find our refund which should have been issued when their “system” decided to cancel everything. First day was lines, 5 different people, no drinks, no spa, and honestly no concern. The only resolution was pay again and “we hope you receive a refund from the error”. While it was an obvious Princess system error, no one onboard was empowered to resolve it or honestly even cared. Given the number of people in line upset on the first day, this cruise line has some serious deficiencies.

Very disappointed.. It’s hard to know where to start because this app is downright terrible. If you order food and one item isn’t available, nothing will be delivered. There’s no way to communicate with the service team about your order through the app, leaving you stuck. When you message the chat line, they’ll suggest you call guest services—where you’ll spend at least 10 minutes on hold, only to find out they don’t have the one item you wanted. They’ll apologize profusely and then send the rest of your order, but by then, the experience is already ruined. Drinks take 30 to 45 minutes to arrive, so you’re forced to plan 30 minutes to 2 hours ahead for everything. That’s exhausting, especially on a vacation where you’re supposed to relax. I wanted to shut my brain off for one week, but this app made that impossible. On top of that, the app is incredibly outdated. There’s no way to sort events, which makes it unnecessarily hard to figure out what to do. It’s clear Princess Cruises is far behind the times when it comes to technology. While other companies are implementing AI and streamlining customer experiences, Princess seems stuck in the past. The app feels like it was designed for retirees who aren’t as tech-savvy, which might explain why their customer base skews toward those over 65. If you’re looking for a modern, seamless vacation experience, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Princess Cruises, and the overall experience—was a major disappointment.

Painful - Welcome back to the 90’s. I had two simple goals in using the app. First is to make sure everything that I had registered for such as the upgraded princess plus package and my dining selection was accurate. Second I wanted to look at excursions. So the bare minimum was expecting to see things that I had already paid for. I thought that was a modest request, but that exceeds the capabilities of the app. No dinner reservations and no plus package. So a quick call to customer service and I was told yeah the app has problems…. I appreciate that level of honesty but disappointed that I don’t know what is attached to my ticket and I have to call customer service to find out. But moving along to the excursions, I assumed that since this is a selling opportunity that the excursions on the app would be insightful and easy to navigate. Boy was I wrong! You click on the excursion banner then scroll to the date / port and see a list of excursions. So far so good! Clicking on an excursion you see some details re and then when you want to go back to the list of excursions for the date / port )that you already selected) the app goes all the way back to the main excursion page so you have to select the date / port again then scroll down and start reading from where you left off! It is a user experience straight from the 90s! And here is the sad thing you almost have to use the app once on the ship. I didn’t expect much, but got even less. Painful

Really bad user experience. It’s hard to describe how glitchy and unintuitive the app is. It looks fine at first glance, but getting anything done (signing up, ordering medallion, etc.) is incredibly difficult. Often when you go from page to page the app freezes for 10 seconds or longer. A good example is when ordering our medallions, lanyards, and other swag. As we selected items, they didn’t get appear in our cart, so we selected them multiple times. Eventually, the app refreshed and there were several extra items in our cart, but there was no way to remove some of those items once they were selected (some items had a “trash can” icon, but most didn’t). Once we purchased medallions for all 3 travelers only one of us shows up as having “completed” our booking. It’s been incredibly frustrating and we don’t even embark for a month. Hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.

Not user friendly. This app is so unusable. For being under the Carnival umbrella you would think that Princess would have things put together. The fact that the app doesn’t have everything listed to do on the ship. And having to look at the app or their daily paper the Princess Patter to make sure you don’t miss anything. They don’t list all the places to eat in the restaurant section. They don’t even list the times anything is open again you have to turn to the daily paper. It’s super annoying that you have to scroll through the whole day to find out what’s happening now. If it’s even posted in the app. If Princess wants to start attracting a younger crowd they need to get with the times or maybe meet with the Carnival app team and learn a thing or two.

So. Many. Problems.. I'll just jump right into it: the only thing good about this app is the schedule and map feature, which are both available elsewhere on the ships. The Order Anywhere feature is rife with issues 1) it takes 30 minutes to get a drink, even when ordered in a busy area near a bar. I've had to leave because my drink was never delivered multiple times. 2) there is no way to cancel orders if placed by mistake or if never delivered 3) twice EXTRA ITEMS WERE ADDED THAT I DID NOT BUY. $150 worth of liquor was added to a coffee order, and changed my location to 6 decks above me. And due to the inability to cancel, I had to call guest services to resolve it. This app is so much trouble and has caused way more pain than any other cruise app or mobile order service I've used.

Messy. I’ve checked online and app and it’s so hard to get a clear cut view of our schedule. Over here is spa, over at this other spot is excursions (hope you notice the little calendar), and over here with ports is dining reservations. Why can’t they just be surfaced together? Instead I keep getting plugged to upgrade to a package despite already having the highest tier package. No receipts on excursions or notification in the app. When one got canceled we had to try and back into it through card charges and seem to have been shorted $5 on refunds. The travel info gathering is bugged or just confusing because it wants both my arrival and departure details to be “after my journey ends”. My Princess concierge ignored 3 emails then finally responded with a ChatGPT response (emojis included). A coworker marketed Princess to me as a better experience after a Carnival cruise put me off cruises altogether but this has been a stressful headache. Given it’s the same parent company, I probably should have known better. Invest in your app and your experience.

Worst cruise I’ve ever been on in my. First, let me say they need and despite paying extra for everything ahead of time then they say it’s a non-smoking boat however in the main mezzanine or most of the action happens, the casino has four doors They’re left wide open the smoke pillows in there like nobody’s business. You’re a toxic cloud the whole time you’re watching any kind of show. I shut the doors myself and complained. They opened them up. They say they want the doors open in the casino or you’re allowed to smoke because it gets too smoky in there so if you have any kind of smoke allergy I feel like getting lung cancer be sure and go. This is false advertising. I can’t stand cigarette smoke. The food I had there was ruined eating there due to the smoke after six days at sea. I have a 16 day cruise. I got off in Honolulu. And booked a flight home I was forced to pay $971 before I can disembark allegedly some kind of attack even though I went from America to America. The single worst customer service I literally could not leave the boat without paying this fee. Good luck complaining they’ll have people and say they’ll get back to you and they don’t if you don’t go to a hospital in the town where you disembarked and get a note from a doctor which has to be to their standards they only cover their insurance if it’s something major like a heart attack or something do not bother getting the insurance she will not get a dime back despite being ill from the smoke I felt like I was on QVC. All they do is Hawk wares in the hallways and have drawings to win over something something or take pictures as soon as you get out of the elevator they do nothing but Hawk wares jewelry, family photos, heart by the way, their jewelry is marked up about 1000% seriously consider using a different cruise line. Princess cruise owns a lot of other ships. Be sure and check.

Disability needs. Rented a scooter to maneuver around the ship easier with disabilities. The reality was that the scooter barely, and I mean by a centimeter ,fit into the cabin .We had 2 other scooters inside and this rented one was the biggest of the 3. The other 2 were folded up compactly. Getting it into and out of the cabin was clearly a 15-20 minute ordeal ,moving beds and relocating the chair and table to maneuver it back by the outlet to charge. On the positive side,Christina, the housekeeping supervisor ,did an outstanding job in trying her best to make a bad situation tolerable. I suggest that if you need a disability room and they are already booked out that you find another cruise line that can accommodate your needs. This is not the fun and exciting cruise I had envisioned but a labor intensive and aggravating one . It is evident the Princess line is hurting as the staff has been sorely reduced( just ask any employee as they freely admit to the many changes) and the food is ok at best. The only show I have seen was Craig London ,who sang his heart out trying to get audience participation and in the end was successful but he earned their respect and applause.

So dysfunctional. I’m almost done with my time on the cruise, and this entire time the app has been so dysfunctional. For one, I was logged out MULTIPLE TIMES, like whenever I lost WiFi connection, (aka whenever we left the ship) which leads me to problem number 2, you can’t use or communicate with family members on the app if you’re off ship! Lots of destinations did not have cell service available, and I couldn’t find a way to contact family off ship. 3, there are no notifications, no messages or announcements on the Lock Screen, meaning I won’t see my family’s messages for long periods of time until I open the app again. 4, it’s not easy to navigate the app, if I’m looking for restaurants open on ship it won’t tell me, only give me a list of each one. It also doesn’t tell you if many of the restaurants and services are free or charge extra. 5, the gps navigation to find a location on ship is so hard to use. I tried to get the app to navigate me to a restaurant on board and it barely worked. Overall, not many features, and the ones available are very poorly executed.

Never change a reservation!. Imagine you have a dinner reservation on a formal night. The group is running late, so you click on your reservation to reschedule it. It shows you several time slots available so you choose one. It warns you that your current reservation will have to be discarded. You click ok because it just locked in that new time slot for you, and there are several still available. You click ok and are bounced to the landing page foe reservations. You now have no reservation. You still see several slots available in the app. But it errors each time you select one. You are now locked out of the system. Imagine what that does to your blood pressure - you can see available slots but cannot reserve one - not even the one that you had already reserved! I later had occasion to see the web app hosts use to manage reservations. Your Cancelled reservations will remain in the system (they may tell you you are not in the system, that is a lie). The system retains cancellations and considers them a conflict. I stood my ground with the host that night because their app screwed me over - and I am a web developer; their system is very poorly designed, to allow a user to get to this state! Fortunately they were not running the restaurant at full capacity, and when my wife came over they found a table for us. They had to deal with this terrible situation caused by lame app developers. Never. Change. Your. Reservation.

Wildly bad app. I don’t think I’ve ever written an app review, but I’m hoping Princess will pay attention if enough people say how bad it is. The precruise check list was pretty easy and I was able to get my medallion shipped to me. My parents did their checklists 8 days before the deadline on the email we got and were told they were too late to have them shipped. Why give us a date if you’re not going to honor it? I couldn’t see our excursions on the app before leaving, but thought that would change once we got on board. No such luck. There is no way to see your booked excursions or spa appointments on the app. It’s so unbelievably dumb to not integrate that. Then, when I’d sign into the website from my browser they weren’t there either bc I was already on board. I had to look up the itenerary of an upcoming cruise and find excursion info from there to get details ab what we were doing for my mom. The ship schedule of events was helpful and being able to favorite them onto your schedule and tag people in your party was great. However, the ship time was regularly wrong in the app. It made it so you’d have to look through the whole day to find each event. The room service part was user friendly. The dining reservations were easy to use overall, but felt wildly inaccurate. I looked at reservations ab 1 mo before we sailed and had 1 dining room option at 1 time slot every night for 3 people and no availability for some nights. When we were actually on board, there were tons of empty tables in every location. I’m sure some of that is fluctuation reservations, but it’s hard to believe that there’s only 1 reservation available/night weeks in advance. The map function is just ok. It’s just a really poorly made app. I honestly don’t understand how it got released like this. Not being able to see your excursions/appointments is egregious.

Worst Company App. Nowadays, virtually all major companies have their own app and this is unequivocally the worst one I have ever used, which is inexcusable because this is a big company, that requires all guests to use it. Literally, tens of thousands of users have to interface with this horrible app. It’s almost enough to make me not want to book with them. After downloading the app and logging in and out, I could never get it to work for any of the functions I needed it to do. I’d originally booked back-to-back trips and after canceling one, which I had to call to cancel via phone because the app wouldn’t work, it took another 3 weeks before the app correctly showed my one trip. Once it did recognize my booking correctly, it wouldn’t allow me to complete my check in process. It won’t recognize my Platinum status for making dinner reservations and doesn’t show my party correctly. Virtually no technical support and yet Princess forces you to go to the app to complete your check in. For such a big company this is a huge miss.

App and Shoreside Customer Service Need an Overhaul. We cruised with Princess right after the roll out of Medallion Class. The technology for the wearable has lots of potential, but the app was horrendous. We just booked another cruise with them, and I was excited to see a new app! Unfortunately, it’s been just as bad. Technical error message when I try to make dining reservations, and shoreside customer service is like dealing with the worst cable company’s customer service you can imagine. Five different reps, and none would acknowledge it was a technical issue with the app until I escalated it to a supervisor. Different departments don’t talk to one another, and one rep even told me dining reservations weren’t in his job description. Not exactly a welcoming way to put you in a vacation mindset. Princess - you need to do better with the app and with your customer service! Make it match the experience on your ships!

Disappointed. The boarding process was terrific. Alas, other aspects were troubling. Dining was a bit of a disaster. For instance, we had reservations for 6 PM at Concerto restaurant but waited 45 minutes in a long line to be seated ( and we were in the reservation line). Grew tired of waiting in lines. Specialty restaurants good. The worst, however, was our room steward… my wife’s jewelry disappeared and we reported it to security… the next day it reappeared in a place my wife insisted she never put it. Then, he failed two nights in a row to leave us breakfast room service cards. Then my wife’s watch disappeared… 😡the room make up was half assed… I had to complain and ask for a different steward. The first night when the jewelry disappeared, we weren’t able to open the safe to store valuables. Lastly, the staff in general seemed dour and not particularly interested or friendly as opposed to a recent 18 day cruise on the Norwegian Encore. Everyone there was smiling and super friendly. Not so the Princess Regal. The ship itself was nice and the fitness center was open 24 hours, which I liked. Just disappointed in Princess. I had taken five previous Princess cruises and always enjoyed the experience. Something obviously has changed and not for the better.

Good idea, bad execution. This is my first time cruising with Princess and there are 7 of us First off, the Log In for the app doesn’t even work so we all keep having to login using our booking number and birthdate. Annoying! Then we fill in all the check in information for all passengers and order medallions. A few days later, my husband logs in again using booking number and he can’t even see our journey. He tries to add the sailing and when he does so, it says it’s already added. Really?!? Because the app says he has no journeys. Next problem is one of us makes dining reservations for all 7 of us. Even though you select all the passengers, no one else can see the reservations in their app. Even more annoying is when I log back in to look at the dining reservations, 5 of the confirmed reservations are gone. And this is just my first few days dealing with this app. I have to use it all 7 days of the cruise??! Wow Princess! Hire a new IT team or you’re gonna lose customers like us.

Pretty poor app. Hopefully they can fix this app. A few things. After booked and paid and had dinner and excursions planned, the apps “my journey schedule” did not show my excursions. Yet on line with computer I could see they were booked. But in the app if you hit the “book an excursion”. It will show all possible excursions and lo and behold - there is an unnoticed area to click on your excursions and then it will show yours. Why not in my schedule?!!! Also - I had 3 rooms for me and kids and trying to find the daily charges by room cannot be found on TV and I had to ask someone where in the app - it’s confusing and in settings (really. It’s not a setting). And they it wouldn’t show all my rooms. On some days it only showed my charges and not my wife’s even though we were in same room. Ugh.

Fine but could be better. Pros: -Ship navigation worked great! -Tracking the location of party members was reliable if they opted into tracking. -Helpfully tracks usage of premium beverages, casual dining, exercise classes etc that are included in plus package. -Ordering works great! Cons: Features Needed: -Dining operating hours -Filters for dining options by complementary vs included in plus/premiere etc. (We didn’t know that The Eatery was designed as the main place to eat on the ship until we picked it out of the list of dining options and investigated it in person. I met a couple who didn’t discover it until the penultimate day of their stay.) -In app and/or push notifications for saved events or chat messages. (We ended up using Facebook messenger for our group chat because of this) Bugs/usability: -navigating the ship schedule or my journey can be annoying because the app often restarts your scrolling to the beginning of the day -if you save an event to my journey you can no longer see the description of the event from my journey but you can still see it from ship schedule. - Needs a better description of what counts as a premium dessert with princess plus. Most desserts were counted toward our 2 premium desserts even if they were always complementary. This wasn’t a problem with the drink package where no nonalcoholic drinks were counted toward our limit of premium drinks. -How do you unlock your cabin with the app? Stability: -We had a 45 min outage a few days ago and couldn’t order drinks until the wait staff switched to pen and paper.

Lacking basics, what it does have doesn’t work.. Prior to boarding the ship we did our pre-board checklist at which point we said we were doing a celebration and that I would need distilled water. We also booked a couple of excursions. When we boarded the ship we didn’t have any tickets for our excursions and had to go down to the excursion desk to get them. We never received our celebration and there was no distilled water. I would schedule coffee to be delivered every morning at 6. We then would immediately have our coffee delivered like we had placed the order for now. The map of the ship doesn’t give you a search option and when you say ‘Go There’ the marker on map is over the text making it hard to know what you are looking at. They shut off access to the map at the end of trip despite us still being on the boat. The excursions that you can book through the app do not show up on your schedule which is just dumb. We were logged out of the app repeatedly and unable to login for hours. And the worst thing is that the app creates a dependency on carrying your phone around which prevents you from disconnecting.

So frustrating. The app has so many glitches. It's amazing that people are able to book anything. The Princess IT department needs to spend a lot more hours working to fix various problems. Pages won't load, the app sometimes quits, and it's very hard to find what you're looking for. I just scheduled my 14th cruise and had to call Princess to get my EZAir booked since the app wouldn't work to let me pay for the flights after dozens of tries. The Princess rep was able to do it. She had no idea why the website wasn't working. Same problem with the excursions. Some excursion details will load, others will not load at all. It's maddening. I have a new cell phone 17 Pro Max so there's should be no reason with my technology for all the glitches. Princess needs to check out the apps for other cruise lines and make changes!

Very frustrating and not fully thought out from the guest perspective.. App is very frustrating. There is a huge delay on texting shipmates. Have to go through 3 layers to see where people are. Should be linked to when the cabin is being cleaned or let the stewards know when we’re out of the room. Dinner reservations kept getting errors. Should have news component to read the updates that come through the speaker system. Autocorrect for texting would be appreciated. There’s very little training for seniors (we had to train our older relatives ourselves). Would be great if we could have sent shoutouts about exceptional staff members to their department heads. Excursions weren’t updated when the ship switched ports. We thought none were available at the new port based on what the app said.

Genuinely Terrible. This app is exceptionally and shockingly terrible. For a cruise line that forces you to use this app to do so much during your vacation they have really caused a huge frustration for passengers young and old. We were using the old app for most things because at least it was functional. However, today they discontinued that app so we are now forced to use the new nearly non functional app. I wish I could give you tips to make using it easier, but I don’t have any other than leaving a review and hoping they fix it. Princess, do better by your guests and fix this thing. It needs to be easy to use and straight forward instead of non functional and cumbersome. Until you can make an app that your average clientele can open and use without much to do you need to bring back easier ways to do things around the ship.

Worse then the previous app. I’ve read the previous reviews so I’m not going to repeat all. My wife and I have traveled on Princess before and after the introduction of the app. I see benefits to the app but the negatives out way the positives. When you order the medallion we experienced the same as many others. The app confirms you did then comes back and says you didn’t. When we called in to princess 10 days prior to cruise they confirmed we did and would ship immediately. That they did do, just in time. When we looked at what time we were to board ship we never got a time. When we got to port to board ship a line was starting to form. By the time we boarded you couldn’t see the end of the line. Reason, nobody that we talked to knew when they were suppose to board. The app is not intuitive or user friendly as many have already commented on. On this past cruise I tried ordering drinks a number of times and finally got tired of waiting and got it my self. The list goes on and on. I am now on a revised Princess app and it is no better. For example, try ordering a drink gin julep. It’s on their hard menus located in lounge but not on app. This is one of many issues with ordering. Tried to use safe in room and no instructions. Had to contact house keeping. List goes on and on.

Highly dysfunctional. I’m pretty disappointed with the entire tech experience with princess. From the online accounts to the medallion to the app - everything feels extremely disconnected. My account never syncs with the app. The online chat is horrendous, times out, takes an extremely long time to get a response. I have been asked to register my account over and over. I have to call to make any edits to my account details. My app is accessed through my booking number and not my account. The app overall seems extremely dated for instance the map of the ship is just a PDF and not an interactive experience. You have to register your medallion on the app, but I’ve done it 4-5 times and eventually had to call to complete my order. For how much Princess pushes the app, it needs a big update to make it functional, accurate, intuitive and usable. There are many features it says it offers but really is better accessed online. The only thing that works with this company is their call center. Honestly the experience pre-cruise has been awful I wish I purchased with someone else.

Garbage app. Where to start. For over a year now I’ve tried to have my login fixed. When I use my login/password to access the app I get a parental consent pop up that directs me to have my guardian allow me access. They have not been able to fix this despite dozens of calls/on-line chats with agents who assure you it is fixed and needy24/48 hours to update. Only work around is to login with the booking number. Unacceptable. Now they are telling me to create another account using a different email. Unacceptable. Fix the original problem. Last cruise we had to use the app to order drinks/good. More than half the time we never got our order, despite staying in the same location waiting on our order. Room service was a joke. Tried the app, one of two things would happen. You never got your order or they would deliver something outside your door hours later that wasn’t what you ordered. Even worse if you called room service you got attitude and poor service. Forget filling out the card for breakfast the next morning, they delivered ours at 4am when we requested 7 am and gave us attitude when we discovered it and tried to reorder.

App is ok. Make it easier to see daily Folio and download photos. App is functional. Navigation is not intuitive. Important things I wanted to see were buried three levels deep and not where you think they should be. Your daily folio (bill) and progress on drink credits and should be more accessible. No way to see how many waters you’ve consumed against your allowance. Ship navigation is nice but the user interface is clunky. Photo app is terrible. Act of buying the down load package and adding photos are two different steps. It should not let you buy that package without selecting photos. They are two different and unconnected steps and the app does not guide you to select photos or say anything about it. Once you figure that out and try to download load the photos to your phone (in the app). It says “ downloading” and then gives an error message. Tried this four times. Same thing. Asked an attendant for help. He said did you look in your photos app? The photos download four times. Never got a success message “congratulations your photos are downloaded to your photos app”. Just repeating error messages. We are tech savvy. Make this better please.

Awful at basic functionality. Just came off my first Princess cruise and while we had a great time overall, the onboard app is one of the worst I’ve ever used on any cruise line I’ve been on before (been on 4 other lines). The app can track a family member anywhere on the ship and have food brought to me anywhere but if I want to know what places were available to get food at any point of time, or what restaurant hours were it’s impossible to find. There are no filter options for food, entertainment, or kids activities. To find anything you have to search through the whole days itinerary. Also, and this is the worst issue- there are no phone notifications so if someone sends me a chat I get no notification on either my phone or Apple Watch. The only way I can see this is by opening the app and usually a bunch of time already passed by since it was sent. This is basic stuff and there is no excuse for not having this functionality when you have advanced features on the ship. Don’t get me started on the specialty dining reservation process for premier package cruisers and the frustration placing and changing reservations without getting charged. Whoever designs this app should take a Disney cruise to see what a real cruise app looks like. Was definitely a negative to an otherwise nice vacation and definitely played a factor into me sailing with Princess again (probably won’t).

Unbelievably terrible. I continue to shake my head at the terrible quality of Princess apps. The app is unreliable, crashes often, is not integrated with the website, hard to find commonly used functions because they are buried, no clear error messages… the list goes on and on. Right now, we are 50 days out, and I cannot check in and cannot order medallions because the submit buttons are grayed out. Shore excursions have to be done with a phone call but dinner reservations have to be made with the app. Reservations didn’t work yesterday but they are working now. App shows no excursions even though they show online. Printing luggage tags is buried in a deep menu on the website. Not sure software comes much worse. It almost seems intentionally bad, it’s so bad.

Great when it works, but not reliable. I used the app for a cruise last fall, and I'm using it now to prepare for an upcoming cruise. The was helpful while onboard. It worked well to communicate with friends, manage reservations, and everything else it was meant to do. My only complaint was having no message notification outside of the app, so it was easy to miss messages from traveling companions. Using the app prior to a cruise, however, is time consuming and inefficient. The system is very glitchy and I get a lot of error messages. The app was fairly new when I used it prior to my cruise last year and I had hoped the quirks would have been fixed by now, but clearly not. Princess forces us to use the app; they should make sure the experience works as intended.

Slow, missing functions, doesn’t work all the time. This is one of the worst apps I’ve ever seen. Other cruise companies are very far ahead from Princess. I love Princess Cruises, the ships, the entertainment, the environment. The art auction is one of my favorite events. The app is terrible, from the minute you decide to use it to book a cruise, if you picked a cruise and a date, but you hit back to select a different date of that same cruise, you lose all your search and need to start over. Very frustrating. Just today, I was trying to book a cruise, and when I click see cabin options, it doesn’t do anything, just spins, and spins. Very frustrating. I’ve been loyal to Princess for several years, but I think I will have to switch and find some other cruise line, just because of this app. It is truly unacceptable that a billionaire company like this, can’t have a better app… unacceptable.

Poorly designed & Unclear so cost me $$$. This app is poorly designed! It should have your package integrated so that each time you go to buy something, it stops you to tell you if the charge is truly going to cost you. We have the premium package and ordered room service (which is free with this package) but since we ordered from one of the specialty restaurants, it cost us (for the same things we ordered in the restaurant) because we weren’t IN HOUSE eating! Cost me $120 and had we known that we had to eat IN the restaurant, we would have or not ordered certain things. It gave a price but I assumed (my mistake) that it would be taken off because of the package. It also doesn’t clarify what restaurant is considered “casual dining” nor can you find the restaurant or store hours easily. It also doesn’t update drinks very well, depends on who ordered it from your stateroom, which I could see could cause issues down the road for anyone depending on the package they have and what they order. Wish it would put dining all in one place and keep track of how many and which restaurants you’ve used in your package (all in one place so you don’t have to guess what’s been used). My biggest issue is that the website AND the app don’t specify you need a PHYSICAL copy of your birth certificate if you don’t have a passport. We almost didn’t get on our cruise because we assumed (again, my mistake) that since we had uploaded the birth certificates to the princess app, that we didn’t need to bring a PHYSICAL copy with us. We found out the hard way that this is needed for customs and not Princess and Princess can’t share this information with customs! For someone that’s not been on a cruise in over 23 years and never been in another country since 9/11, I only knew that it’s a closed loop cruise so I don’t need a passport and just needed my driver's license. Major miscommunications and unclear language caused some major stress when it didn’t need to!

Needs Work. There are a few perks: ship maps, being able to communicate with shipmates, step by step directions, pre-boarding, tracking shipmates and seeing the schedule. But, the negatives outweigh the things that do work well. Needs Fixed: - There are no notifications so you have to constantly check the app to see if someone you’re cruising with sent you a message. - Spa appointments don’t appear on your daily schedule. - Restaurant and bar open and closing times are missing. - Shore excursions take a long time to load. - The schedule on the app doesn’t always match the schedule that’s provided each night. - It’s difficult to find some info. Such as seeing all the events at a specific venue. It’s there, but you have to navigate through several steps to find it and it’s not always accurate. I’m hopeful that it’ll be updated as time goes on.

Worked, that’s about it. Recently went on a cruise with Princess. The cruise went great, but the app was definitely the heel. The only really useful features are the interactive ship map (and that was still pretty hard to use) and the chat system, but the app doesn’t give you a notification when you receive a message so most messages don’t get responses for hours. In port where we had service, we just switched to cellular even when on the ship. There were more issues, like a really annoying UI and issues with MedallionNet but I’ll keep this short. If you go on a Princess cruise, get the app, but don’t expect much out of it.

One step forward two steps back. Princess just can’t seem to get there app to work properly. They were just starting to get all the bugs out of their first version the Medallion App. Then they switch to a new an improved version the Princess app. They should have stayed with the Medallion App. The Princess App hasn’t worked properly from day one. Ocean Ready told us over a month ago that they would have the problems solved in 5 - 7 days. Nope! Still no corrections to our booking info, can’t sign up for dining ect. They even have us on the wrong ship. I have been on over 25 cruises with Princess. Princess needs to get their act together. I am starting to look at other cruise lines. Booking a cruise should be easy not work. I can’t tell you how many times I have been on the phone with or my emailed Princess planner.

Amazing for those who know how apps work. There are a few quirks, but generally, this app is fantastic. I was able to add shipmates to my travel experience and find where they were located in the app (location sharing required). Easy to chat with shipmates. Onboard WiFi experience was fantastic. Entire ship map and ship schedule is available via the app. Making those paper printouts redundant. Add onboard packages, view your onboard charges, make dining reservations, order room service. It’s amazing. Crew is very helpful through the onboard app support. I don’t know why so many people are giving this a bad rating. The experience so far using this app has been most excellent. Probably just a bunch of boomers that don’t know how to navigate the application.

Want to Like, But Really Can’t. You guys have gotten started with something that could be really helpful, but there’s (much needed) room for improvement. I went on two cruises with my family, and they were a year apart. I was kind of excited to redownload the app, but was disappointed when I noticed there were virtually no changes made to it since the last time I had used it haha. One of the most important features I believe should be developed first is push notifications for the in-app chat feature. Not all of us have Cellular at SEA (or on land for that matter), and if you guys intend to have a chat function between Medallion users, you need to make sure we can actually use the feature. Otherwise, there’s no point in having it. Ignoring the chat feature, you really just need to hire some app developers to completely reimagine your app. I am a 19 year old who’s good with new technology, but I’ve had my times trying to find something within the app where I’ve been searching for much longer than should be necessary (it’s a headache for me, so it’s a migraine for others). You should have them reimagine the app into something much more intuitive as well as functional. My mother and her friend were joking that I could make a better app than Princess (as a university student learning web coding). This little section might be more on the crews than the app, but they really need to start marking food and amenity deliveries as delivered WHEN they are delivered, and not prior to when the glorified busboy comes by. Oh, but the ability to ask, “WHERE’S MY FOOD???” might be pretty useful too. There’s probably plenty more to complain about, but it’s already been a couple months, so I can’t say for certain what those fixes should be anymore. Here’s to hoping they make some good fixes sometime soon!! 🥂

Leaves much to be desired. Princess Cruise points the customer to this app, but aside from entering pre boarding information, it is a bit cumbersome. Maybe once we board on ship, it may be helpful. Some info should be menu options and not navigating through other selections like ship layout. UPDATE: This app is the worse. Can’t depend that it processed anything correctly. Example, ordering the stupid Medallion. It would not appear to have processed the order. Then I get two emails congratulating me on my order and indicating I had selected to have the Medallions shipped to my home, which was correct. But the status would show process as outstanding. I assumed maybe because the order was not shipped yet. I then get a marketing email about upcoming cruise and completing the process. Now the app shows order status as two outstanding orders. So I call to find out what is outstanding. Agent tells me I am picking up Medallions at port, i.e., the slow process which defeats the whole purpose. I argued I had email indicating i did select to be shipped to my house. Bottom line, agent fixed everything and gave me date supposed to arrive. Now I don’t trust anything I do with the app. Especially since it keeps popping up Error screens. Awful app.

Poor at best navigation.. Princess truly does cater to the senior population and one thing that is for certain. 95% of us can’t find our way around a computer unless we have a grandchild with us. We are ona cruise to hide from them for a couple weeks. The app is not getting better it’s getting worse. it only shows in half page, one can’t find anything on the site as navigation is poor at best. I would suggest that you scrap it and build another from the ground up. The company keeps trying to fix this format and it is like trying to get a horse with a broken leg up to run. Seriously, I just added my airfare on to our next European cruise and I put it on the account a week or so ago. I can’t even find where to go pay on it and I have been looking for over half an hour. I would at least thing you would make it easy to spend the money. When I came onto the site to buy my air through your service, it took two separate visits and a stroke of luck to figure out where to go to do that. It is seriously flawed and I love cruising with you. You have taken great care of us on the trips we have taken but, your app is definitely an issue

Clunkier than the website. This app is clunkier than their website, which loads when it wants to. Here, you login to the app, but when you go to look at the excursions you get an error. I noticed there was a login link again to look at the excursions, which I had to do twice. Then, when looking at the excursions, you better not look at the details of any particular activity because if you hit the back button, it doesn’t take you to where you just were, it takes you all the way back and you have to click your way back through everything until you get back to the itinerary for you trip, then the day of your trip you’re interested in, and then back through the whole list of single file options…and that’s only if each of the four pages you have to click through actually loads properly.

This app is the worst. I am disappointed in Princess for putting out this “updated” app. When I added “shipmates” while trying to schedule dinners, my son and grandson, it added them five times each. The app does not give the option to delete shipmates. Now when I try to schedule a dinner, it attempts to schedule 12 people instead of 4. I called Princess on the phone, they supposedly linked our bookings but it hasn’t helped. Princess also scheduled the for of us for a meal at their steakhouse but nowhere on the app is the reservation listed. We ordered our medallions 23 days ago but the app still tells us that we need to order them and that our purchase is in process. It seems that a majority of the app is designed to sell extras like the spa services, drink packages and fancy medallion holders rather than helping the customers.

Accessories aren’t a hassle!. First time using princess app and ordering the medallion for our cruise. Ordered them over a year ago and today, when checking my payment methods, discovered one of the CCs on file I no longer have. I removed it, and when I did it canceled my medallion order. Ugh. So I go back in and reorder them and find I can’t get the premium accessories any longer. Even the benefits from the Premier package. So no customizations and no additional choices. Instead of removing it, you should have simply put an option to choose customization / accessories or not. That would have kept it simple for those that want simple and more in depth for folks who wanted to customize them.

plan to settle your bill in person. we set up the app for our cruise at least a month in advance, which includes putting a payment method on file. this payment method was still linked to our profiles when we began our cruise. on the last day (the morning everyone is disembarking) we get a call to our stateroom saying we need to pay our bill, when some documentation we’d been given days prior by the staff said that if we had a payment method on file on our app, we would not need to settle our account in person. when speaking with guest services they said they didn’t see it on their end so we had to pay in person, taking time out of the busy morning of getting ready. what’s worse is that when we were being cleared to leave the ship, my partner was stopped for “not settling his bill” when we literally had done that with guest services less than 2 hours ago and had the receipts to prove it. it was a hassle and we were stopped at the gangway for several minutes, and just added to our annoyance of trying to get off and meet with our family. all of this could have been prevented had the app worked and connected with the cruise services.

Travel Checklist feature is a complete fail!. One of the steps to be completed in the Travel Checklist to speed up the Check-in is to enter your travel docs - passport and/or Permanent Residency Card details. For the latter it is required to enter the country of citizenship, the country of residency, the country of issuance and the nationality. Country of citizenship and country of issuance CANNOT be the same, but the app doesn't allow to enter 2 different countries! A permanent resident IS NOT a US citizen, a permanent resident can only be a citizen of any other country but the USA! And no other country than the USA is able to issue a permanent resident card for the USA! When I saw the low rating for this app I was already hesitant to download it, and here we are ...

Ouch! If I knew this before I booked the cruise …. The App, both on the iPhone and on PC, is awful. I can only hope that the actual cruise experience is far superior than the App experience. To the extent Princess touts their medallion technology, so far that boast is unfounded. Specifically regarding the App: 1. Very slow response time. 2. One of the least intuitive interfaces. 3. to make dinner reservations, you need to check each date individually. That’s a time-consuming and onerous process. 4 . Ordering a medallion before the cruise is mandatory. However, that part of the app did not function. Even during an online chat, the representative could not fix it. This is our first princess cruise and so far, we are quite disappointed.

Fix This Trainwreck: Overhaul the App or Face the Backlash of booking cancellations. Princess needs to nuke their entire software team from orbit. This app is a flaming dumpster fire rolling downhill. We’ve wasted two hours trying to update a travel checklist, and it’s like the app is laughing at us. All we get is some worthless error message with zero explanation. Whoever is behind this tech nightmare should be packing their bags. I’m so angry I could scream. This experience is a complete joke, and I’m about ready to throw my phone off a cliff and cancel my trip! This is my first time booking with Princess, and I’m absolutely livid. I’ve sailed with four other cruise lines and never dealt with this kind of nonsense. I can’t believe I paid top dollar for this trip, only to be stuck with an app that’s a complete disaster. Whoever’s in charge of this mess needs to be fired, replaced, and forced to rely on this app during their own cruise. Let’s see how they handle it. This is obliterating my opinion of the company before I’ve even set foot on the boat. It’s draining all the excitement out of the trip before it’s even begun, and I’m irate that I’m wasting so much of my time on this review. If you don’t fix this disaster, customers are going to ditch you faster than you can say “bon voyage.” If you can’t even get a simple app function to work, I’m seriously worried about the safety of the ship and whether the life preservers will even work in an emergency. This level of incompetence is making me question if I should even board.

Needs massive improvements. Hey Princess! Love your ships, love your service but your app is really not so great. Here a few suggestions I would love to see on your app: *search/book/plan your next cruise. *make payments on any upcoming cruise fare (even a link) *clearly show what package (if any) you have already booked. *allow OBC to be used as payment for any speciality dining/excursions ahead of being on board. I feel these features will really assist cruisers like myself who like to book in advance and then sit back and relax.

Not working efficiently. I have used the app before with no problems BUT this time it’s so bad. Keeps telling me I’m not connected or not on the ship. Every time I try to access a feature it wants me to connect when I’m already connected.

Extremely frustrating. It is so ridiculously awful that even the update wouldn’t install properly. They should get some help from Royal Caribbean. I wonder if my trip will be as bad as their app. What can I expect from a company affiliated with P&O? I wish I hadn’t booked with them

It goes NOT make preplanning easy at all. I have 5 upcoming cruises, 2 on Island Princess as a B2B and then, on the same day I disembark the Island, I embark another Princess ship to do 3 B2Bs. This incredibly frustrating app has us down as ONE LONG CRUISE with a start date and a final date all on the one ship, the Island. Then it only allows dining reservations for the very first cruise! I also cannot book any excursions after the first cruise! Nothing comes up to show excursions for the following 4 cruises after the first one, let alone have us on the correct ship. I note other reviews with much earlier dates, have similar issues. Why hasn’t this been fixed?

Absolute garbage. Doesn’t work at all. Every click takes 10+ seconds to response, and doesn’t work anyway. Just logged in for the first time and it says we have a reservation for a table of 30 for dinner every night at 5pm, trying to cancel it does nothing. Give us back a web interface, at least that works!

Disappointing App. We are not even on board and I am writing a review. Not something I do often. The App is very poor and is very confusing on the questions it asks. It has taken me two trips back to the travel agency and a call to Princess. The second trip back to the agency resulted in the call to Princess as the agency did not know what was meant by the question. I am in the tech industry which gives me a better than average shot at working out Apps, but this one is a step too far. One can only guess how seniors work this app out, who would make up a substantial portion of Princess customers. I hope the app improves for booking onboard entertainment.

App update. When I go into the app, it keeps telling me to update. I have already done this. It just goes to the App Store, and I open it from there. Not good if I don’t have wifi though, so please fix asap.

Trying to create check in. Absolutely frustrating kept giving error messages. Unable to complete accompanying guest. Very poor app and wasted a lot of time trying to complete

I hope the ships are better than the App. This app is disgraceful, how a big company like Carnival/Princess can release such rubbish is beyond comprehension. It is slow, unintuitive to navigate, no one-click way to get to the previous screen, and no SEARCH button that I was able to find. And, worst of all, you MUST have it on your phone when on the cruise to do basic stuff like find information or order food. If one HAS to have it installed they should be making sure it is easy and seamless to use. Whoever is responsible for designing and approving this garbage program should be sacked. So, sadly, if you are going on a Princess cruise you will be forced to install it. Just be prepared for the disappointment.

Frustrating App. Old app which was fully functional was deleted and replaced with this app which even after the most recent update has the same bugs. Luggage tag could not be printed and also passage contract cannot be accepted. Passage contract kept defaulting to third guest, a minor, which cannot accept the passage contract. Also very slow to log on to server. Have no choice but to use this app on board.

Bugs. Still very slow to load, more so when off ship and a bug with loyalty status not working correctly resulting in features not being available in line with status

Absolute Rubbish. We needed to check in via the app but it wouldn’t download the terms and conditions on either my wife’s or my phone and it wouldn’t allow us the check in without agreeing!! What an utter waste of time! Eventually we had to get our travel agent to do it for us. Princess would do well to fire whoever made and managed the implementation of this terrible app and put in customer friendly procedures. It certainly makes me feel unlike taking any further Princess cruises.

Extremely confusing and hard to use. Extremely confusing and hard to use

What’s gone wrong!. Eighteen months ago I cruised with Princess and the app was absolutely flawless! So easy to use and so advanced from every other cruise line. What the heck happened!!! It’s a jumble of confusion with nothing making sense and with constant frustrations and errors. Princess! Dump all the updates since early 2024 and go back in time. This app is simply awful now!

Annoying. So far I have wasted over an hour trying to log my details in for the start of our cruise. I keep getting something went wrong, try again later. If this is an indication of how the app works, it’s not a great start to my holiday. I have better things to do with my time.

Pretty poor. Application crashes after Payment page and won’t accept Australian mobile numbers - which is the only number most passengers will have.

Worst cruise app. This has to be the worst cruise app out of all cruise apps (and I’ve used a few). When trying to book dining, whether it’s 6 weeks out or a few months before the cruise, the app just doesn’t work. Shows that there is availability, you go to reserve dining, and then you continually get error messages. Apparently it’s a known issue so no idea why they don’t just fix it. They reset my app and still doesn’t work. When on board, the app is not user friendly. It doesn’t allow you to bookmark all trivia’s in 1 hit. Some events allow a limited number of people to bookmark events and then you can’t bookmark it. It seems that they count bookmarking an event, as a booking, and you then can’t bookmark it. They need to ask their Cruise Directors to stop telling passengers that it’s the best cruise app (that’s what our Cruise Directors told us) when it’s clearly not.

Rubbish app. The old app worked perfectly this one is rubbish. Literally Right now it’s telling me to connect to the internet to use the app, but I’m using the internet to write this review! Also, it’s doubling the drinks I order, even when wait staff confirm I’ve ordered one. A very useful feature would be notifications if a shipmate messages you through the app. The full menu is not available on the app, very frustrating when you can’t find a waiter

Major kinks that need to be ironed out. I would say the app is usable but can be very clunky at times and a little unintuitive. Issues such as long loading screens, unintuitive menus, and pop-up alerts covering important navigation icons can really hinder the user experience. The app has provided a convenient paperless and more efficient way to locate family, find events, receive room service, board and disembark, open stateroom and order/pay for stuff. The tech is awesome and powerful, but the app really ruins the experience since it is clunky. The technology is there, but the app really weighs it down. If the devs did a moderate overhaul with the app, it could be awesome and make our holidays more effortless, which means happy customers, which means more $$$ for Princess. PS can you please keep the itinerary and boarding pass information on the day of the cruise? The most ridiculous thing that happened on the day of the cruise (true story) was the information itinerary and boarding pass box in the home screen disappeared as it assumed I was already on the board. I was just lucky I screenshotted the boarding pass the night before, not because I knew it was going to disappear the day of the cruise, but due to the fact the app takes always 90 seconds to load, and if I had to open the app again, it would take so long to load. Guest were having issue with the app finding the boarding pass which affected an otherwise seamless boarding experience. Please take my feedback so you can help your dev, help your cx, help your bottom lines & cx experience.

Worst travel app ever!. The app just doesn’t work. Trying to complete pre-boarding requirements and it keeps reporting an error. Go onto the website and I can update and complete however app still says I haven’t completed pre travel requirements. Just received an email from Princess advising what I need to do to board the ship…..all through the app and what it wants me to do is not there! Reading other reviews I don’t think my experience on the ship with the app is going to be better. Old one seemed to work fine. Princess do your customers a favour, dump this app and start again!

Worst cruise app and customer service. I’ve just spent all day trying to sort out my login issue with not being able to check in and see my future journey. Called their support few times and got no support at all from Jenky! Also what made me angry to write this review is that the CS I last spoke to pretended not to hear me after saying it’s not working and she needs to escalate and hanged up on me after making me wait on the queue for an hour! Horrible service! Horrible app experience.

Absolute rubbish. My 14 year old grandson could program an app that is better than this rubbish, I would give it minus 5 stars if it allowed me too. But it would not even allow me to enter what was needed. I hope the captain is more competent than the intellectual genius that put this app together.

Works well. My wife and I have used the app on quite a few cruises now and have never had any problems with the app. Have booked excursions and dinner reservations without a hitch. Don’t understand why so many people have had problems.

Useless. This app simply doesn’t work. I have tried logging in for weeks without success - I’ve changed my password, I’ve updated the app, I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled - nothing. What a joke - getting a bit worried about the cruise to be honest if this is the level of service!

IT DOES NOT WORK. This app is very frustrating to use, and signing up and logging on is frustrating. Even when all consent had been given by family, it still wouldn’t process through. The idea of the app is good, but the execution is very poor.

Hopeless app. Trying to book dining options as recommended when on website - what a joke! Kept going around in circles going nowhere! So frustrating. Went on live chat - told to go on website - not helpful either! Guess we’ll find somewhere and something to eat when on board!

Reward status. App does not display your reward status correctly

Clunky app, not as user friendly as the old one.. OMG Princess, please do something with your new app. I used it last week onboard Majestic and it is clunky and not as user friendly as the old app. This new one is slow to open, doesn’t accurately record onboard purchases, doesn’t update information easily or accurately. When onboard it drops off information that existed when at home. Sorry Princess, you need to do something about this asap.

Why is my bank card classed as a ‘default card’ by Princess?. My payment method is by my debit card.. Princess is calling it ‘default payment’ and would not let me changed it to my normal payment method. I have cruised with Princess several times and have never encountered this problem. The other option is cash as I do not have another bank card, by choice.

Useless and frustrating. Old app worked perfectly fine.. now this new one won’t accept any details at all whether I try with booking number or email and password.. how can you show up to have barcode scanned when the app doesn’t work ??

Terrible app. Why do I have to go to the App Store every time I try to log in, this app has caused so much stress that I regret booking with Princess. I did not have the problems on any previous Princess cruise it’s like I am dealing with a third rate cruise line this time.

Princess updated app issues. Updated app is no good. Tried to reset my password numerous times and even though I put my email address in the email goes to my husband’s email address. Finally managed to get it reset so I could edit my contact details which allowed me to login. (Finally) then it logged out so tried to login again and “invalid data” message cones up. Princess cruises IT department needs to get this sorted asap so your clients can actually use this app. You have 120 days to get this sorted!!!! Having cruised 12 times with Princess in the past pre and post Covid, this app is frustrating to say the least.

This upgrade doesn’t work. I have update this app and now I can not log in. My login details are correct because I can login on the web but when I try to log in I get a message saying that my log in details are incorrect.

Chat notifications. Chat function is pretty well useless without being notified of a message. Most people don’t go around checking every two minutes if they have a message.

Absolutely fed up. I have done over 500 days cruising with Princess I have a cruise booked for February I’m starting to think I won’t get on this one as I have failed to complete the check in app keeps telling me unable to save try again later. Used to take about half an hour to complete for two when able to complete online I don’t think I’ll book with Princess in the future because of this farcical app Does anyone in Princess look at these comments or even care And to make matters worse they’ve excluded access to travel agents so they can’t help me

Who in princess, thought of medallion, should be sacked. We’ve done three or four trips with medallion and none of them have worked. The most ridiculous additive to any cruise. Other lines manage with the ordinary old-fashioned way where you don’t have to be a 10 year old to understand.

Slow and buggy. This is a slow and poorly developed app. Often when I open it, it comes up with a large “!” and says Errror. I just hit enter and it then works ok.. it gives me little confidence..

Just returned from cruise. Hi, I would like to make a suggestion for use of the app whilst on a cruise. The chat function is very handy BUT it would would be advantageous if a notification would appear on the phone when a chat has been updated. Currently you have to open the app to check. Thanks.

Princess Cruise App.. This is the greatest load of rubbish, problem after problem, same message all the time.A problem has occurred! contact Princess!! or page would not open, try again, then you go through all the log on again details only to find the same thing. People , you may think it's no big deal.... but you are wrong, it took us 3 days to book 3 on shore trips! if we could we would have cancelled this cruise....it has caused us so much frustration, anger and ending up getting ratty with each other. It has taken all the shine off this trip not to mention Princess Cruises, do yourselves a favour, skip Princess!

Please fix your app!. I’ve been using this app for several years now and it’s always the same. It never works properly off the ship. Check in is a nightmare I never get all green ticks for my family. Now this time I can’t even order my personalised medallions!! Please princess fix the app!

Truly appalling app... What a shame Princess doesn’t spend some of the 18% service charge and extortionate day trip prices to pay for a decent app. I’ve had more error messages in one morning than my entire life till now. It didn’t recognise my log in for days….then it did. 🤷‍♀️. Trying to book dinner reservations was a nightmare of error messages and failure - and it only showed 3 of the restaurants, one of which would take no bookings at all. It’s an absolute dog’s breakfast.

Excellent cruise service, horrible app. I’ll start by saying I had an excellent time on my most recent Princess Cruise and that the medallion system is excellent. But WOW, this is app is beyond buggy, it borders on being genuinely unusable. I’ve never seen something as unstable as this, it constantly locks you out of essential functions or half the time can’t even figure out whether you’re in the ship or not, this app REALLY needs work. The intended functionality would be great if it actually worked, 99% of the issues here are that the features simply DO NOT FUNCTION. You guys would do well to do a lot of testing and bug fix this. I’m not one to typically leave reviews, but I’m writing this in the hopes that someone up the chain might see it.

Please test the app before releasing. Please get the basics right and TEST the app BEFORE releasing it! Profile shows my status as a newbie but am actually Elite status. It is good to add new features etc, but not at the expense of trashing the basic functionality

They know there is an app issue.. We have tried to complete the checkin on the app. We have uploaded photos as per the tips but it won’t allow the next but to pressed. We also tried to update our contact our contact details. It doesn’t save. I called the help line and was told there are known glitch’s. Adivised this has been happening for nearly a week. Was told it might be we have separate emails, so she changed it to same one. No success. it would be nice to be able to complete the checkin and we hope it’s fixed soon.

One of the least customer friendly apps I’ve ever had to use.. Frustrating, devoid of key information like the address of the terminal and our inclusions, this app was actually incorrect. A very poor experience

Cannot log in. Been a customer of Princess for years nothing wrong with the old app it worked now cannot log in to the new app and have been told they have no idea when it will be fixed

Absolutely frustrating app.. So many problems with this app. The main one is that I can’t book shore tours. When I click on Shore Tours it keeps coming up with the message “there was an error in the processing of your request. Please check the information and try again. If you have any problems, please call princess line. They’ll be happy to assist you.” Ha ha what a joke !!!! So I’ve already contacted them 3 times. The people I’ve spoken too can’t help, I asked to be put through to the IT dept. ”oh we don’t have a number for them. We have to email them.” I asked them to leave a message to ring me to see what’s wrong with my app that was three weeks ago and I haven’t had a reply. Terrible terrible app. And I’m worried it won’t work properly when on board. Do you developers even read these reviews !!!

Worst cruise app I've ever used. Apart from a lack of information like the departure time from a port which I was trying to find so I could select the best time to make a dinner reservation at a speciality restaurant, the price quoted including the 18% tip was less than the final price charged. After all that, I couldn't make the booking as it kept asking me to add a payment method. After trying to add one, it says that payment method already exists, so I've given up.

Sometimes wants to work. I really hate this app but because I need this one to go on my cruises with their Princess ships I have to have it. Sometimes it logs me out and for the 24 hours I can’t log back in-it says data not found, even though I was logged in with the same information before. And this before getting on the boat! I guess I just have to suffer for it, I just wish they get a better app that doesn’t crash every now and then. It is good when I am on the boat, usually. I like ordering complementary food and drinks.

App does not log in with my credentials. Old app now does not refresh.. I think we will just try a different cruise liner. This app does not work and you rely on it on the ship. The services on board are no where near as good as before Covid. The meals are smaller the room assistant mast time we never saw. They smashed our luggage and said too bad it’s in the contract they aren’t responsible. The level we are at used to have free wifi now we have to pay for it. Not worth the bother when there’s so many others we can cruise with.

Garbage app. Can’t get logged in with either email or booking number, keeps saying error. Since the latest update so called “bug fixes” the app is worse than before. Come on princess you can do better, so disappointed ☹️

Horrific app. This app has nothing but bugs. Difficult to get anything done. I’ve reinstalled it several times but it doesn’t seem to help.

App doesn’t work. App needs a redo

Can't find my booking. What happened to this app? It cannot locate my booking so I can't book anything. I've been watching for updates since April and I can't imagine it still has not been fixed.

Not user friendly! terrible app. This app is the worst I have ever used! For a reputable cruise line, this is appalling! You have to go on a treasure hunt to find key travel information that could have easily been under your profile or travel. Clearly designed to upsell not help provide vital travel information

Can’t add a cruise. Keeps giving me errors - internal server error

Terrible App. I tried booking many days for a dining room only to have it not work. I deleted the app and re-installed, but the same problem. I spoke with guest services and they me tioned the app not working. Redo the app. It's terrible and leaves the customer looking foolish.

App only lists 1 cruise. I have 2 Princess cruises booked. I want to make dinner reservations for the second one. The Website says to use the app for dining reservations. However, the app only shows the first cruise, not both of them. Can’t make dinner reservations. Is this my fault or a design flaw in the app?

Bad tech by Princess continues. Zero stars for this crappy updated app. I had the cruise info on the app until the update. First i could not sign in now I cannot get it to show my cruise ( that starts in just over a week). Phoned support who agreed it was a system problem but did not seem clear how to fix it. I await a call back. we cancelled a Princess cruise last year largely from the terrible online access and customer service…this cruise was from those credits and more $ besides. No more Princess for us.

Bad. Bad

Super buggy. The app won’t allow me to access or check any of my excisions. Other pages only load had the time

Mr Alex. Trying to get our medallions to be sent to our house but it has been impossible; plus they want you to buy extra accessories in order to complete your order.

A sad sack of garbage, Princess ruined cruising. Elite passenger with 120 Princess cruises! This app is total garbage. My cart is stuck with items I can’t remove. I therefore can’t even order the stupid medallion. Never mind the fact that a cruise card is slim, fits in a wallet and is a nice souvenir to show people when you’re an ELITE with over 100 cruises which the CARD SHOWS!!! The stupid tracker medallion can’t be carried in a wallet and doesn’t even show the number of cruises one has done, unlike the cruise card that DID! The app is such garbage, nothing is easy or simple to find. They can’t even put options in a simple and logical order! ALL OPTIONS SHOULD BE ON ONE BLOODY PAGE AND STOP FRUSTRATING AND CONFUSING PEOPLE!!! The app is a failure and testament to how stupid the designers are - who’ve probably never stepped foot on a ship or paid their own way to have to experience the waste of time it takes to use this stupid app! It’s garbage, Princess is becoming the loser cruise line and they’ve ruined cruising by enjoying people to stare at their stupid phones all day, even on a so-called vacation!

Oh the irony. Isn’t it funny how princess cruises drives you towards using their app for all boardings, bookings, excursions and activities yet the app does not work at all. This will probably be the last princess cruise that we book…. We just returned from a celebrity cruise and the app, and every detail worked perfectly.

Terrible. Been trying to find boarding times and nowhere to be found. Supposed to be in travel summary and there it reads to find in the app

Future bookings not showing. Just did the update and two future cruises do not show up when I input the booking number. “Booking not found”. They were there before.

Princess cruise app needs to be revamped. Terrible app. Not user friendly at all. Lots of uncertainties when being used. Cannot move on even with optional subsections. Cannot access booking with another phone even when sharing room

App fix it!. Premier but the app doesn’t recognize and allow me to book restaurants without paying cover charge? Keeps crashing. Won’t let me order medallion. I worry what this means for the cruise if the app sucks. Come on Princess, such a big name can afford a better customer experience starting with the app

Appsolutely Awful. Downloaded the app and unable to enter booking after I had already entered it and logged out when unable to enter other information that kept saying errors

Please fix your app. Trying to use your app has been far too frustrating. You are going to lose cruisers who will avoid booking with Princess in the future because of the app, and that is a shame…..

Horrible. Keeps telling me my password is invalid and have to reset every time. Cannot book anything like excursions not only on the app but on website. Shows option for dining private or shared but will not allow to pick shared. It’s absolute awful

Absolute Junk. The old app worked fine. I can’t even log into this one with proper credentials. Also tried booking number and other info, still no luck. What a joke.

App Sucks. We have 4 days until our cruise, app says our booking number is attached to someone else, can’t book dining, can’t check in (says to go to app to do so - I’m in the app….), wry disappointed in it.

Broke the app. The update has errors, can’t load dining reservations and error when looking for dining times. Wish I hadn’t updated. Good thing I took screenshots.

Not showing my current cruise ship. The app has me on my next cruise not the one I’m on right now. I was told that this would be fixed with the next update. Right now I have no map of the ship I am on, the activities are for the next cruise not the one I’m on. I can’t locate my shipmates. Please hurry up and fix this.

Back to Back Bookings but different ships. The app is unusable for two upcoming cruises: it lists one continuous cruise whereas when the first cruise on ship A ends and I cross the pier to join ship B. I cannot make any reservations.

Slow and lagging.. Application is slow and lagging. Their WiFi is very far from being the fastest at sea as they advertise…

Bad app. There are many glitches and it would not load properly for my wife even though we put in the correct booking number. Also was unable to book shore excursions using the app. Needs to be redesigned.

Server error 😡. Does not work 😡😡😡

In french please !. New app, no French ??? I’m a Elite member. I wait for an apps in french please !

The app wouldn’t accept my credit card info. I tried multiple times to enter my credit card info and got an error message, even though the agent I spoke to said the card was good. The reason I was given was that I used the same card for another cruise I booked the following month and the app wouldn’t accept the same card for both cruises. WHAT? Princess, do better.

A bad start to a cruise. If this app is an indication of what my cruise is like we are going to end up sinking by hitting an iceberg in the tropics. I can’t book dining reservations, I can’t order my medallions, I keep getting error messages. the 1-800 number they list to call for help is useless at helping resolve issues. The online chat is useless.

Soooo bad app. Can’t do anything on the new app. Trying to book dining- no options and can’t even find it! Our cruise is in 30 days and can’t even get it done! The WORST,!

Status wrong!. My boarding pass says green lane, but when I go to the medallion page it says it’s too late and to get our medallions, and to go to the blue lane. We’ve already tried to place the order and it said it was confirmed.

Does not work. Nothing appears in excursions or dining sections of app. Didn’t bother trying the rest. Terrible app. Website is equally as bad.

Hot garbage. So frustrating to use. Whether it will work or not is completely random. Ocean now works really good for looking at the menus. Once you find something you would like to order, find the nearest telephone and order, because you ain’t getting it through the app.

Not a great app FIX the “Exit this booking” selection.. Frustrating to use and definitely needs improvements. When you select excursions you then confirm your cookie preferences. You see the itinerary (well done) select the location that you want to choose an excursion for. Works well so far. You are told the times that you will be in port. Then scroll down the list of available excursions. They are preselected so that any of them can be completed during your shore time (reassuring). You then select one that interests you to get details, times, cost (well done). Then it falls apart. You want to check out a different excursion before deciding. The only way is to exit all the way back to the beginning, select cookies preference AGAIN, scroll down the list and select a different excursion. You might have 10-15 possible excursions that you are interested in. Frustrating to keep repeating all of the steps every time. There is a tab at the end of an excursion listing that says exit this booking, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Maybe it does if you have actually booked the excursion, but not if you are just looking at info so you can decide.

Internal server error. This is what I get upon LOGIN. No change after re-installing from apple store ??? What’s wrong with this application??? Any prospect to correct it prior the embarcation date 06/06/23? Are Princess authorities aware of this? A good move would be much appreciated. Zero star is all I can give you presently☹️👎 My apologies, I finally succeeded my login process following a chat with a Princess cruise agent. You must hit the SIGN IN WITH BOOKING NUMBER under the SIGN UP and LOG IN buttons. Tks to Princess agent Irene😉

Worst app ever. First time with princess app.!! It’s awful.!! Travel agent cannot even access it.!! Cannot find anywhere to book dinners which we are supposed to do. Keeps telling us to download the app which we are on. Wonder if the part to book a new cruise is up and working just fine !!!!

Older is better. Can’t get on to book excursion

Garbage. Check in only allowed on app but can’t add my booking on app while the webpage can see my booking Very frustrated

Server error, every time. I enter my booking number and get a server error, every time. I can’t get my boarding pass.

Associating a cruise. It is not evident on how to associate a cruise, so you can view its details and book events, on their app, this should be improved.

Server error. Entered my booking number but keep getting “internal server error”.

Useless. Tried to book the Plus package and was unable to get to payment. Gave up after 3 tries.

Latest Update. This app is terrible, the latest bug fix update is worse than before

The buggiest App EVER. The concept is good but this app should be scrapped and redone from scratch!! This app doesn’t work more often than it does!

Challenging!. Very difficult to navigate. Can’t find anything. Can’t book anything. Not sure what good this app is. Frustrating!

Princess -Do Better!. This app is the worst! Two bookings, two booking numbers, two ships. App thinks it’s one continuous sailing on one ship and has joined various pieces of both bookings. This means nothing on the app functions. Despite spending hours trying to resolve pre-cruise and being reassured it would be fine on the ship…nothing had changed. App is useless onboard. Princess, if you insist on pushing this technology then make it work!

Days are incorrect.. This app did not take in account for the leap year and is off a day from the website. Please fix this. I hope it does not cause problems for some people.

Requesting a separate credit card for each. We use the same credit card but now my husband’s credit card populates on the APP on all the future cruises we are taking but not on mine. I’m requested to enter one for myself..it does not accept my husband’s credit card information, even though I’m an authorized signer on the card. By not being able to provide the information, it takes longer to check in at the pier when we have to present the card and have it entered into the system by a representative. WORST APP EVER

Absolutely horrible. This app is a disaster, when I get my boarding pass for a NY cruise it didn’t even tell me if it is leaving from Manhattan or Brooklyn. I contacted them and all they did was try to upsell stuff. Horrible navigation throughout the app. If the cruise is not perfect I will probably never cruise with Princess again, it’s not worth the stress. Also, look at the maps in the app the restaurant names are covered with stupid symbols. Total failure. Shame on Princess!!!!!

Update doesn’t work either. So I tried reloading after people said a new version was out. Again I can’t login. I tried the forgot password link which had me login again. This time it took me to the website on iPhone. I board this coming weekend and don’t expect a working version before the cruise is over. The newer the app, the harder it is to transact any business with it.

Frustrating Beyond Belief. Difficult navigation. Very slow to load. And downright impossible to order your medallion through the app. The Princess website isn’t much better, either. While exploring and booking excursions, you constantly get signed out for no apparent reason, have to log back in multiple times, and then get to do it all again when trying to pay via PayPal gets you kicked out all over again. Your app and website are embarrassing. Do better. It’s 2024.

Worst App & Customer Service. As a Travel Advisor I will never again encourage anyone to book with Princess Cruises. Hands down the worst app experience - clients can’t book dining, excursions are seen maybe ever other day and many error messages. When I call Princess for assistance their customer service is just as bad. Dropped calls and never a call back, despite confirming my number. They can’t even confirm or book reservation at specific restaurants! Avoid booking or traveling with Princess Cruises!!!

Functional but so bad. Add notifications to notify when someone chats you Add auto correct to the chat Allow location sharing to a group chat Fix locate - it doesn’t really show where YOU are in relation to the person you’re trying to find. Boat directions aren’t useful : aft etc. messaging in the app doesn’t work when your not on the ship and not even connected to the ships WiFi

Horrible App. It won’t let us do the check-in. Keeps telling me to try again later. Have called twice. I at least got them to send me the medallions. We will see if it arrives. They elevate to app support that takes 3-5 business days. You can’t talk to them. No one calls or send an email or text. There is no case # to tell support. we continue to have issues. Have tried both of our phones and the web page. Nothing works and no one can help. I have 25 days before embarking.

App Needs a LOT of Work. This app needs a lot of work. Very frustrating, both for the check in process and while on board a recent Alaska Cruise where the app was down for a full day. The Princess cruise was amazing but the app makes me question whether I want to choose Princess or another cruise line for my next cruise as I have had far better experiences with other cruise ship apps.

Haven’t even boarded yet!. I can’t pay for anything. Says card is invalid even tho I paid for the entire cruise with said card!! and it acknowledges it is there!!? Have 2 cruises with 2 different booking numbers going to different places and it has us on the first cruise only and the next one in same booking number even tho they are 2 different ships and a day apart. Very frustrating. Excursions are being sold out, reservations for dining early hours are filling up. Going to be a very miserable set of cruises fighting all the time!!

No iPad version. The Princess app worked fine on my iPhone. A few glitches, but for the most part OK. What really irked me is not having an iPad specific version. Twelve inches of screen to work with, and I get the iPhone version stuck in the middle? Update the app to include a version that uses the screen space on a tablet.

New App= TERRIBLE. The old app was so much better. I cannot connect my families bookings together. I called process customer service, she said she has linked them. I went to make reservations for our family of 4 and they are still not linked! It’s so frustrating. There are several issues but this is just one item that should be basic. Princess you HAVE to fix this mess of an App you require us to use!

Abandonware!. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity update their apps every month and sometimes a couple times a month. This Princess app has not been updated in eons. This app has multiple areas of lack and serious need for improvement and yet NOTHING has been done to improve this app in a very long time. Princess still refers to this app, but they seem to have abandoned it. I don’t see the point. Princess has the money to hire good developers to get their app up to standard. There’s no excuse for this abandonware.

Not ready for prime time. This app is almost worthless. For starters it’s slow and does not always save your data. Then there’s a website which does not synchronize well. If at all with the app on top of that you think your cruise would show up immediately when you log in and it would be easy to find things which it’s not, this app has a long way to go before it’s actually super useful

Works GREAT. There is nothing that doesn’t work on the app. Check in, dinner reservations, deck plans, locate ship mates, navigate to a specific place on the ship, itinerary and port info, upload travel documents and picture ETC No need to bash the app

This is like if toilets clogged up and leaked down the walls bad. So many functions of a cruise tied into this…thing. Cruising now and my most ardent prayer, nay my greatest hope is that our carriage does not falter like the app powering it. For if so, to the depths we will sink, in our lifeboats after the ship goes down. But worse, nay, truly it will be as we all suffer from food poisoning as well. For thou must confess: I cannot believe I have to give this one star when thine deserves -5 stars indeed.

Easy peasy. The app works fine. We’ve been on six cruises using the app and the medallions, which makes life on board so convenient. People who complain about the minor inconveniences need to get a life.

Horrible App ! Dinosaur!. Princess! Get your act together. Your app is slower than slow and has tons of incorrect t information. Cannot access our information, status shows different on the App vs your online site. Slow, slow, slow and too cumbersome to deal with. Extremely frustrating and disappointing that this is the App you expect your guests to deal with. Horrible experience and will consider other cruise lines in the future. You may have just lost multiple guests and future cruisers.

First cruise with princess. So this is our families first cruise with princess , boy let me tell you the app is leaving much to be desired because one day it’ll work , I see my count Down , all the important stuff , the next day it’s missing/not there , I’m signed out of my profile/account . When I use the desktop version everything is there as it should be , It’s just the app / app development team that needs serious work., I hate to say it but after these two upcoming cruises we won’t be using this cruise line again.

On line check in. I have tried doing the check in for our upcoming cruise for several weeks to no avail! I spent 40minutes on the phone with Princess and they couldn’t get us checked in either so I guess we will have to spend an inordinate amount of time on arrival to the cruise terminal. This is our first Princess cruise , very disappointed with their website. I was told someone would be calling me back once they figured out the glitch, that was 4 days ago!

This App is not ready for iPad. Installed this app on my iPad and it didn’t work. I called Princess for help and after 45 minutes and 2 agents, neither know what is the problem. This apps works on my iPhone but not the iPad. Both Princess agents just read from a script and keep on repeating the script. The error message was the data (my user name and passwords) does not match their records though the same data works on my iPhone and browsers.

Multi-device support. Hey Princess! Did you know that adults actually have more than one device that they want to install your app on? It’s a pain for us adults to go into the phone app to give parental permission to ourselves to configure your app on a tablet. Get your act together and develop a way for multiple devices under one account (different or the same profile). Also, stop being lazy and develop a tablet app too.

Needs a lot of work -. This App is never accurate! We ordered medallions 6 weeks ahead and that completed our checklist. 11 days out the app said medallions never ordered, which they were. The app instructed that we would need to go to a blue line upon arrival to get medallions. On day 9 prior to departure we received our medallions via fed ex. App still says never ordered. It is unfortunate to have to stress before vacation for no reason whatsoever. Hire someone that can create an app that works properly.

Absolute trash. No way to look at hardly anything until you’re at your cruise and logged into the wifi on board (which is terrible). Tried to look at cruise schedule and dock/city information and couldn’t because I wasn’t on board and exploring the city at the time - couldn’t even see what time we were supposed to be back on the ship. On top of that, looking at anything in the app is such a pain and good luck trying to order food or drinks to your location!

Been trying for a month to reset password!. App is a joke. P rincess rep called me one time and said she would call back same day. That was over two weeks ago. Called their 800 number and was told to send customer service an email. What an utter joke. Paid big money for a cruise and this is how the customer is treated. Given amount of money invested and the necessity of use, this is not the typical app issue. Is anyone listening. Probably not. The world is going to...

Worthless. I have my first cruise with princess coming up in a few months, I can’t make any changes online because everything has to be done through the app so when I go to access it on the app, the app says I have no journeys. I enter the booking number and they say the booking has already been added, but it’s still not showing up on the app. I can’t do anything, I can’t access paperwork or forms, what is the point of forcing your customers to have an app that doesn’t even work.

Not bad. The app isn’t too bad especially now that they have fully gone to the new one. It shows everything I need for my next cruise and I don’t seem to have too many issues. It could be a bit more intuitive but that is probably the only complaint.

Not as good as other app. Why did they change it? It’s slow. I’m leaving on my cruise today and it’s been one day ahead, which is frustrating. Scheduling things has been a pain - ie, spa services. It’s been easier to log on the the website. The other app never did that. There are also other bugs they need to work out. I hope it’s not this bad once I’m on the cruise.

Horrible App!. Basically, this app is worthless! I can seldom view anything I want to know. Right now I cannot view any excursions I have booked. A few weeks ago they were there. My friends we’re traveling with showed up listed earlier, now they’re not there. Sometimes I can see the itinerary, sometimes not; right now it’s stuck on Day 6 & I can’t view any of the other days. It’s a good thing I liked my last cruise with Princess as a first timer would probably not book a cruise based on this useless app!

Princess App is Terrible. I am on the Royal Princess now and this app is terrible. She cruised with Princess last summer and the app worked fine. On this cruise, you place an order and the app is supposed to locate you for delivery of your order. It charges you just fine, but 1 of 5 times your order will show up at all. The one time it does show but, it will be 1-2 hours later. The ship is so overcrowded that an order at a bar will take 1 hour to get served.

Adding Shipmates. I have back to back cruises, 1st week Nov 30th 2024 & 2nd week Dec 7th. I was able to add 2 shipmates for both cruises to my dinning since they will be on both cruises with me. I’ve been trying to add 2 more shipmates to the dinning for the Dec 7th week since that’s the only week they’ll be on the ship with us. Keeps telling me no shipmates found when I enter their booking #. I know the booking # is correct since it can be brought up on the personalizer. Would appreciate some help.

GPS is nice but not good enough. We need to be able to talk to my shipmates. The GPS features requires everyone to constantly checking it. What a hassle. We need to ring up our shipmates. We need the audio alert. Without audio, messages are not checked timely for everyone to coordinate. Having this app to support multi language would be nice. I ended up translating for a bunch older passengers from another country.

Room for sooo much improvement. Under the My Journey section (which shows the layout of your itinerary), it should incorporate the “hearted” activities with the actual reserved ones. Make it seamless! Ie. We had dinner reservations planned and other things we wanted to do around that time. The reservations didn’t show up in the My Journey portion. By the same token, it should show you any scheduling conflicts.

Worst app ever. Extremely disappointed in the Princess app. It might be worst and seems to be created and maintained by amateurs. When trying to view excursions to get information it tells me I can’t view past bookings even though I’m currently on my trip. It told me I didn’t enter flight information but when I call it’s there. Told me I didn’t have medallions ordered but they were delivered to my house. It’s really hard to understand how this app was put out there for customers to use with all these problems.

Terrible. Got my partner to get the app and do their check in without creating an account. Then the app kicked him out. He created an account, and added the booking. No cruise is on his app (even with a force close). For me, completing the check in was slow and buggy. Tried to order the medallion 4 times, no dice. Frustrating app when all we want to do is go on vacation! Is there no beta testing with this?!

Frustrating and clunky and can’t manage associated bookings. This app is confusing, slow, frustrating, and not at all intuitive. Having to go back and forth between the app and the website to complete booking requirements is ridiculous. The most annoying part is that I cannot manage an associated booking in the app. My spouse had to download the app and log in with the other booking number to manage that booking on his phone. Other cruise lines have this figured out. Get with it, Princess.

Has some good points, but key features missing. Please add push notifications to notify when chat messages are sent. Right now chat is functionally useless because I don’t know I’ve got new messages at the time they’re actually relevant. Also, please include excursions that I’ve signed up for the “Show Entire Ship Schedule” list. Otherwise it’s a pain to know if an onboard activity conflicts with an excursion I’m signed up for.

Pretty much useless. This app is frustrating and a total disappointment. I have been cruising for over 30 years, but last October was my first Princess cruise. I was skeptical at first but ended up loving it. So we’ve booked with Princess again this summer. One of the main things I liked was the app (the old version). This new version is pretty much useless. I can’t book excursions or spa days. I can’t link with the rest of my party. Not sure why Princess threw out a good app for this one.

Makes me nervous!. Princess app is very faulty. They need to make a lot of updates to get all of these bugs worked out. I have completed all of my check-in requirements but the app still says I need to order out medallions. I have confirmed everything through the web page and we are all complete. This app is just not reliable and since you are supposed to be completely relying on it that makes me nervous. We’ve spent way too much on this trip to let the app screw things up. This app is probably one of the worst in my experience.

Does Anyone Even Read These Reviews Or Are We Wasting Our Time. Princess Cruise Line…Does anyone even read these customer comments at all or are we just wasting our time trying to convey our concerns to you? How about having the decency to at least acknowledge that you have read this one so we, your customers, don’t lose all faith in your company all together. Also, I am 153 days away from sailing and I am fully paid up so why can I not make dining reservations? Say something, anything as to why I cannot make those reservations.

Terrible app. The app is very slow, isn’t real time in finding traveling companions - their gone by the time it updates, the messaging feature isn’t on all the time, you have to turn on your phone, open the app, and check if someone has messaged you….. of course by that time the info isn’t relevant. It only allows me to log in about 1/4 of the time because it tells me my information doesn’t match their data. A huge waste of time.

Total failure app. Slow (loads for up to 5 minutes), doesn’t show your full schedule (only dining reservation, and also - starting from tomorrow, not today, why?), doesn’t show ship’s docking and departing times, doesn’t reflect changes to your food orders done by room service, etc. Wonder if anyone actually tested this app for basic functionality… Princess Cruise - please pay someone to test and fix the app. You provide a great experience, but the app ruins it!.. I work in IT, and know - it doesn’t take much to enhance it… please do!

Aggravating. You can’t see excursions you have booked, so the “journeys” section is worthless. Sometimes it pops up and blocks me from logging in saying I need parental permission ( they died 40 years ago). There’s at least 4 different ways to log into the system/app, and it varies as to which one will work. PLEASE test this before dumping it on your customers! I noticed a few minutes ago while in my room that I am “off ship”. I assure you I am ON the ship as we are now in the Atlantic Ocean!

Started out rough, but getting better. They are really improving the whole Medallion experience. We use other cruise line apps as well and like the new Princess App the best. I hope they continue to add back features like Ocean Play and the ability to manage your Tagalong. The new app is way better than the previous app, IMO.

Who is ruining the store?. Why on Earth is this app worse everyday? Now when I try to open it, I get an error message it’s no longer available. Then taken to the App Store. Then what? Do I need to keep loading it? Princess is great once you’re onboard but this 19th cruise might be the last because they make it SO difficult to plan or prepare before sailing. Apps don’t work. Agents give incorrect info. People don’t respond to email etc. It’s really frustrating and now I’m spending so much more money because of your errors. Maybe the DOT will find this of interest.

Extremely poorly designed. One of the most important aspects of travel is knowing when to go where. Well, good luck with that if you use this app. We have not been able to figure out the time of our check in. Isn’t that sort of expected information in something called a boarding pass? Apparently that’s not a piece of information they chose to put in the app’s boarding pass.

Can’t even start the process. I tried to put my booking information in start the check in process. I’ve tried several times in fact and it has never worked. I’ve called several times and they’ve haven’t been able to help. It makes no sense is that this is the only way to start the check in and get your medallion and it doesn’t even work. Makes me rethink about booking with princess

Maybe not Princess. We’ve taken more than a dozen cruises but none with Princess. We heard good things and want to give it a try. Booked and paid for the cruise but now cannot even set anything up in the pre-cruise planner. Also, my DOB is incorrect and I cannot change it, and I cannot input onboard payment card. Tried calling the 800 number twice but was assigned to an agent I couldn’t understand both times. Maybe we should just stay with our other cruise line?

Best app on the Seven Seas. Not only does Princess have the best technology going today, their app is a vital tool that underpins the excellent experience that is the Medallion Class experience. It’s responsive, full featured, and a joy to use. Creating dining reservations and connecting with shipmates are particular highlights. I may have to move on ship just so I can continue to use this app all the time.

So slow. It takes about 20 minutes to do anything in the app because it is so slow. I click on something, and come back five minutes later and it has finally loaded. It took me an hour to check-in because I was sitting there waiting for everything to load. You can’t do anything online and it forces you to use this app and it’s excruciating. You would think this app would be much more user friendly if they force you to use it!

Bugs in App. I am trying to book excursions on my Alaskan cruise and the app states I have scheduling conflicts when none exists. Cannot get a resolution from customer service. I have been disconnected several times after long hold times and have no way to contact any one person. I have repeated the lengthy problem with three different people (all have been pleasant) with no resolution. Very very frustrating!
