FINALLY!!!. knew I wanted this, but this app has exceeded all my expectations - what a fantastic resource. Thank you eater!

Search and account icons on main map page smushed?. Just raising your attention to the fact that the search icon and account icons in the top left and right corners of the main map page are completely smushed horizontally on my display. I’ve tried re-downloading the app multiple times but the problem persists.

finally!!. loving using this app to know where to eat and love that I can keep a list so I can reference when looking for spots to go to when in different cities and neighborhoods

Exactly what was needed. I have been waiting for this app. I subscribe to the email, but needed something that helped me quickly find good eating places while I was driving around. Happy, happy, happy.

Cant Filter The Maps. I dont see a way to filter the map view in discover by cuisine.

Add more cities. It would be nice to add more cities to choose from! Also have an option to type in the city you desire to explore!

Map filters and sorting. For the map/list view for nearby restaurants, please add the ability to filter the results by restaurant type, when they’re open (now and at some point in the future), and price. Please also have the ability to sort the list by price and distance. Thanks!

Obsessed already. The ideal way to narrow things down from the mess of Yelp and Google Maps and even Resy…. just curated restaurants you can TRUST will be good. 🙌🏼

App doesn’t work at all. You just get a red screen. Nothing else.

Google and Yelp have more. The other two services just offer more info. They let you know _all_ the eateries closest to you and not just some in the nearest major city; they have reviews, many of which aren't paid-for; and they let you know if a particular eatery has gone out of business.

Finally!. I’ve been waiting for this forever. These are my most trusted food maps in any city, and in app format they’re going to be so much easier to pull up during a trip and trip planning!!

Brilliant recs in my pocket. Long time user of the Eater maps on web browser and so glad for this new format!

Sketchy tracking policy. Forces you to accept web activity tracking even if you’ve denied that in iOS settings. If you allow it and then turn it off in Settings, gets stuck on location settings. That’s as far as I can get, which is a shame.

App not opening. Installs the app bt it won’t open . 🤷

Useless!. I tried downloading this app based on an article I read. Totally useless! Only shows logo on startup and just sits there.

Convenient access but data is out of date. I appreciate quick access to Eater articles but the map shows restaurants that closed long ago.

Privacy options lousy. You are forced to give away privacy on this app. It makes you consent to tracking and says you can turn off but you cannot. Needs to be fixed

Won’t work. Load and reload. Pray. Donate. Wish and beg. Still won’t function. :(

App won’t open. Cannot get the app to open. I see other reviews saying it forces users to opt-in to tracking. I have my settings defaulted to opt out for ATT for all apps. I suspect that’s the issue. I’m not willing to change that, so I suspect this app won’t function until Eater addresses this.

App keeps telling me to reload it!. I’ve deleted and downloaded the app twice in hopes of getting data to load and just keep getting the same message that “Something Went Wrong”.

Font size???. The font size for the restaurants is too large. You can only see the first 7-8 characters of the restaurant name at the bottom of the screen, which is frustrating. In Discover mode, while scrolling the map, nothing happens when I click on a restaurant. Nothing opens up! I click on the “website” button and nothing happens. This app is mostly unusable. Great job!

Great app!. I’ve been looking for an app like this for so long - definitely will become my new go-to! Love the convenience of having all the maps compiled in one central place.

No restaurants in listed city. Bogota is a city you have included in your app yet there are no restaurants listed. Why?

Sales people needed!. I can't speak to the few cities you can pick from on the Capital One app to actually use this app right now it's fairly useless in the Detroit market. You have a long way to go if you want to compete with OpenTable or Resi. I don't see the option to make reservations directly in the app either. Might be worth something someday but right now fairly useless.

Only the best!. Finally something for only the best places to eat! I love that it offers all different price points and most importantly, the ability to easily make a reservation. There’s truly nothing better than showing up at a restaurant knowing they’re expecting you and ready to make it a great experience!

Best app!. I use Eater constantly, and can’t recommend it enough. Such a friendly interface and amazing recs.

Absolutely psyched!. As an Eater employee, I’ve been asking for an app for literal years and I’m so excited we have one so I don’t have to Google every map piecemeal anymore. Big win for me

Sad.. This app is clearly for the boring and unadventurous. Whole sections of Vancouver are shown as having zero restaurants, including areas with some of the best restaurants on the country.

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Doesn’t work well. First time using tried “Koreatown vegetarian” since it has my NYC location. Gave me LA spots. Then tried “NY Koreatown vegetarian” and a few variants (NYC, New York) — kept giving me only LA results. This is a pretty basic easy search not to work. Love Eater recommendations but don’t know that I’ll use app again.

Flashing Map/Uncontrollable Toggling. I don’t know what’s wrong with this app. As soon as you select your second location from the map it becomes unworkable and is nonstop flashing and has to be closed. Please fix.

My go-to dinner app in MSP. Great curated options.

Uses AI responses. Searches come back with AI generated responses which is really annoying to me. Would also be better if the restaurant name popped up as you zoomed in closer to the red dots on the map

Poorly designed. Not a single restaurant name is visible in the list view.

AI Garbage. Ignore reviews before 2.0. This is now a ridiculous chat bot and buries the actually good reviews and guides in a city. Want food in Paris? There are only 2 places searching in Eater now. Good luck!

bad update. Loss of functionality. Turned into a social media app

Map Functionality Needs Work. This is the same on web as is the app - but their map function is extremely glitchy and large load needs so it becomes dysfunctional. Otherwise I love eater for restaurant reccos especially in places with no Michelin

Unstable, not useful. For the wealth of information you guys have this is such a poor app. Stop focusing on all the animations and just provide the information. You’re dropping the ball huge. Hit me up if you want help developing this because this is a zero star app. For the size of your publication you should be having such a killer app and user experience.

Must-have for restaurant recs. It’s so helpful to have Eater maps in app form. It’s easy to save lists of places I want to hit and find recommendations on the fly. Also love leaving notes!

Very disappointing. I frequently visit Eater Chicago so when I saw that I could download the Eater app I thought it would make my life simpler. Unfortunately, it did not and I ended up deleting it. First, despite confirming Chicago as my home location and doing the search from a Chicago location (allowing location), when I typed in inquiries (such as “Vegan friendly restaurants near me”) I got a list of NYC restaurants. That happened with 3 different inquiries typed from a Chicago location. Second, there was no way to go to a Chicago tab to get the content I like on Chicago.eater.com. If there’s a way to get there it certainly wasn’t intuitive or easy. I’ll just stick with going to Chicago.eater.com for now.
