TotK Travel Guide App Description & Overview

What is totk travel guide app? TotK Travel Guide is a companion app for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. You can use it while playing the game to keep track of your progress, mark interesting locations on the map, and make notes. It can also help you find all kinds of materials in Hyrule, such as fruit, fish, and ore, and it's a quick reference guide for all the Armor sets in the game.

The app provides a spoiler-free experience: by default, all locations and regions are hidden. As you make progress in the game, you can make them visible in the app as well. This means you can explore Hyrule and use this app without being spoiled by seeing everything the game has to offer from the get-go. Of course, if that's actually what you're looking for, that's an option as well.

At the center of the app you'll find a map of all levels of Hyrule. You find markers for Shrines, Towers, Villages, Korok Seeds, Lightroots, Quests, Treasure Chests, Minibosses, and many more interesting locations. And you can also add your own custom pins to the map.

You can easily add notes to any location and pins on the map, and you can also make Quick Notes while you are playing the game. The game has an easy list that shows you all notes you have created. And keeping track of todo's is also easy with the Tasks feature that you'll find in the app.

TotK Travel Guide is a native app that puts a great interface front and center. The UI is very smooth and will be immediately recognizable for anyone familiar with iOS. The app is fully integrated with the system: your data is synced with iCloud, offers a dark mode and homescreen widgets, and the app even has support for advanced system features such as the Shortcuts app. You can change the language of all locations on the map to any of the languages supported by the game, including Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.

TotK Travel Guide is built with love by a Zelda fan just like you. You can unlock all features of the app and support future development with a single, one-time in app purchase. The app does not have any subscriptions or ads.

This is a third-party app and not affiliated with Nintendo Co. Ltd.

TotK Travel Guide Comments & Reviews 2026

An Incredible Companion. This app has made my considerable amount of time on TotK so much better. I wasn’t sure at first since I like discovering on my own and didn’t want help… but the app is designed around that. Being able to mark things as complete, and if you CHOOSE to look up the location of something is really invaluable though. In a game with SO much to see and do, this is better than any written guide could have been. Highly recommended and incredibly well-done, you can’t go wrong with trying it, and the one-time-purchase for more options was a no-brainer to support the developer.

Simply the best. Want to conquer all of Hyrule, above, below, and on the ground? Then this is the app you need. Beautifully designed to help you navigate the world, and with many thoughtful little features sprinkled in (Search!! navigation to a specific coordinate! Mark a place as visited.) It is a truly excellent app!

Best app ever. Regular updates. Lots of detailed maps. Love the armor tracker. The best app for TOTK

Better and Better. Really well done, love the flexibility to only reveal things when I want to. Keeps adding improvements and features.

Get it! Must have for all your TOTK needs. Saw a review about this and was pleasantly surprised. Gave it a shot and within about 10 minutes paid the one-time $3.99 fee for ALL feature unlocks. No subscriptions required. Thank you, Jeff for a great product. Hoping to see more quality of life updates and maybe even one about dragons 🤙

Elegant. Simple, obvious design. Knocked it out of the park.

Jeffrey is the bomb.. This app is incredible - more than I could have asked for as someone who is a completionist and loves checklists. I am only sad that I’ve played this game for 250+ hours before I found the app. Thanks Jeffrey ♥️♥️

What if we had such an app for BOtW. This is the most useful companion app for TOTK, love it

Preatty ok. The app is pretty good but I prefer more info on the items in the games ex: weapons fruit or food and ores. But the thing that I REALLY REALLY don’t like about it is that every time I try to get something done or look something up, it always takes me out of the app to my Home Screen and that gets me really annoyed. Overall it’s okay but if your planing on getting this app just know that there are other options to explore so dont just stick to one app.

So Good!!!!. So much of a help for playing the game. if I had suggestions I would put them but the app just keeps on getting better and better. Keep up the good work!!!

Awesome - for future consideration... Wonderful map, makes TOTK a much better experience and is the type of tool one would expect a developer with 8 years of dev time to implement into the base product. [CORRECTION: this functionality is built in] My one ask which may be tricky but certainly fairly standard and doable (maybe already done but I don’t see this option) is to allow data export/import or accounts creation so I can switch between my iPad and iPhone and the maps are in sync. [CORRECTION: this functionality is built in] Otherwise, what makes this app stand apart from others is quality of build and tracking progress which really makes this a very personal feeling application. It comes across as more of a travel journal than just a map/info dump. I kind of think of it as my own Sheikah Slate (Purah Pad). Top notch, everyone should get the + edition (I did and am loving it). Thank you for making a great tool!

Super easy to use. This app has everything you need to complete the game, except for clothing and materials. That is one thing I would add, making this review 4/5 stars. I love the fact that you can add notes to things like a shrine you want to complete later and how you wish to improve on it. Great app, will be updating if the creator ever adds in the clothing/materials :)

Great app for Hyrule surface (good for depths and skies). A great app for keeping track of everything as you play along. One development point for a future release: By default only the surface map area for Central Hyrule is shown (which works for those who don’t want spoilers), but the entirety of the maps for the depths and skies are shown and can’t be hidden. It would be great if you could select which maps of the skies to show (as you can for the surface regions), and if the maps shown for the depths were based on which light roots have been discovered.

A great start. UPDATE: The developer added a lot more to the map and added the option to hide completed stuff, so it’s pretty much perfect now! Thank you! This companion app is very well designed and overall a great start. I like that it’s a one-time purchase rather than a monthly subscription (I have no problem paying for subscriptions, but it doesn’t feel like the right pricing model for an app like this), so that’s already an edge over the competition. There are a few things that I think are keeping this from being a true 5 star experience, and they’re also keeping me from actually purchasing the full app: 1. I agree with another reviewer that the app needs some kind of visual indicator right on the map that shows you’ve marked a place as discovered. 2. I’d take this further and say that the app should let you filter by that discovered status; completionists will want an at-a-glance view of the things they’ve yet to find. 3. I also agree that the list of things on the map should be expanded: stuff like armor, special weapons, special items, and bosses should all be there, and much of that data already exists. Overall, though, this is a well designed start. Looking forward to seeing the app expanded and even just those first two things would get me to pay!

Pretty good. I like that I can look at this app to find out my totk questions. It is in a good format and fun to look at.

Amazing and very useful. This app is amazing. The developer has been fantastic at adding new item types and quality of life details. I really appreciate the multiple ways to track and sort items. My only request at this point is to allow for use on Mac. Great job on a fantastic companion app for an incredible game. Happy adventuring to all!

Just Like I Remember. Another review said the app was just like the Nintendo Power guides, and I think they hit the nail on the head. The app itself has all the tools needed to get everything you need out of it. The spoiler-safe magnifying glass feature is a really nice touch. To the dev, great work! I don't know if your app sports it, but have you considered pulling from the userbase's notes to make it a little easier to add more points of interest? Either way, I'm looking forward to the next update!

Great but. It’s really really great but I have update ideas update idea 1: the temples do an update where you can see how many temples you have gotten update idea 2: the legendary weapons it would be a great update for the legendary weapons to have their own slot but overall this app is great

Totk guide app. I think it’s an awesome app i just wish the only thing that could be better is a guide to all the shrines and quests it would be awesome please write back or if not that’s fine

Supports Completion!. I have been loving this app as it has been evolving since I first downloaded it. More and more locations are being added all the time. Fun and easy to use.

Beautiful. Stunningly well designed app, by far the best app for totk on iOS!!!

Good so far.. This app is good so far I love the UI. However, it would be nice to see treasures listed in the shrine tab for what you can find in a shrine, but apart from that I think everything looks pretty swell. Please also, add zonai items to the materials bar so that I can search them and see which dispensers I can find them at, and expand on the materials that are listed because that’s not all of the materials that can be found for some of them. Would also be nice to see shrine walkthroughs in a different notes sections of the shrine menu. Please also add a main/side/side adventure checklist as well.

Wonderful Guides, Wonderful Developer. When I first started playing ToTK the first thing I did was look for a guide from Jeffery, seeing how far both the animal crossing new horizons guide and this ToTK guide has come in the last few years is a testament to the skill and dedication that goes into building them and I love getting to watch the guide evolve along the way! The direct responses to feedback and watching features added from popular requests make this a must have! I think my only requests would be adding the Bubblfrogs to the map or the compendiums, but not having them won’t keep me from looking forward to ticking off locations, items, and watching the completion meter for shrines inch closer to 100%!

Great app. It’s like the old school Nintendo power maps I used to pour over for my NES games, but with way more information.

Excellent Companion for Hyrule. My 9yr old was constantly asking me to look up where stuff was in TotK, going to ad filled websites which load slower than molasses got tedious really fast. I’ve now installed this app on his old hand-me-down iPhone and those requests have stopped!

Best companion app for Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild. The latest update fixed the loading issues, so I can recommend this again. Well-crafted and with lots of features, — all done in a way to keep the discovery and surprises of these Zelda worlds unspoiled. Thanks for the update 🙏

Helps calm the completionist in me. A few issues here and there but generally pretty good.

So much better than tears companion. It’s awesome even though I gotta pay for notes. I like how there’s no spolilers and how it’s so modern and compact. I think you should add the quests because if I wanna see the quests I gotta go to tears companion which has few glitches

The best Zelda App EVER!. If you are confused and not sure which companion for Zelda to buy (since there’s a lot), just get this one! It may not say that the title, but the app contains BOTH maps for both games, Breath and Tears with an amazing option with spoiler free exploring and marking on your map! The dev is amazing and listens to feedback, trust me, i bought and tried every single app for Zelda out there, nothing comes even close to how PERFECT this app is!

Useful n easy to use. Great app to track all your progress. Nice that it doesn’t spoil the game. The depths was exposed ( I was warned before hand ) so I didn’t use that map until after I was done the most of us depths . Would recommend for all totk fans

TotK Travel Guide App Customer Service, Editor Notes:

Hi there! A brand new update with a couple of new features and improvements: - You can now download high quality map assets in the settings of the app. This will then allow you to zoom in further on the map. - Materials now show you how many you need throughout the game for quests and armor upgrades. - x2 Korok Seeds now also count twice towards your completion counts, which means that the count in the app now also mirrors what's shown in-game. - Korok Seeds that have you follow a path are now placed at their final location once you mark them as completed. This makes the location shown in the app the same as on the in-game map, making it easier to check if you've already completed it. If you enjoy the app and want to support its development, please consider leaving a review for the app in the App Store or unlocking TotK Travel Guide +. Thank you so much! Jeffrey
