There’s always room for improvement. Straight Talk definitely has the right concept but I’m not certain that they have the proper means to carry out the actual concept. I encounter bad call quality more times than I would like when calling my family. Either I can hear them crystal clear and they can’t hear me or they can hear me crystal clear and I can barely hear them during calls. I also encounter recordings from Straight Talk, when placing calls, telling me that I don’t have enough airtime to place the international call although I have more than enough minutes to place the call. I also receive recordings, when placing calls, saying that my account is restricted from making international calls. Issues like these are annoying because it cuts into the time that could be used in talking with my family along with deducting minutes although I haven’t successfully connected with my family. I hope to see an improvement in the near future when it pertains to international calling.

Can’t make calls. I try to make a call and it says that the number is busy to every number I try calling to Mexico

Do not try and call China. Whenever I try and call China with this app tells me I can only use this to call international numbers! Standard Chinese mobile number are 11 numbers and then there's two country codes 86! That apparently is one number to many! I don't know how they missed this but it's not ready for prime time since China has largest cell phone accounts in the world and it looks as if no one bothered to test calling China with this app!

Somebody help me !. I have had so much trouble with this app. I can't seem to add contacts and favourites. It doesn't show the correct balance. I purchased 5 global calling cards with my Straight Talk rewards and nothing shows. I've tried support chats and phone calls to support and still nothing. Also the last global calling card I had didn't seem to give me anywhere like the minutes it suggests I should get for calling the UK. The chart says 5c per minute, which should be 200 minutes but I was cut off in my second phone call and the two calls did not add up to anywhere near 200 minutes. This used to be so easy...I need to call my mother often in the UK, she is 91 and frail. It's so sad and frustrating.

iPhone. Honestly is a great app…just one thing I can’t make calls with Siri because the app hasn’t been developed enough. For example: I can ask siri to make a call with WhatsApp just by saying call xname with whatsapp and she will do it but I can’t do it with straighttalk international.

Poor quality app. This is low grade quality app. I’ve been using vonage for a long time and recently switched to straight talk for international calls but with this quality I will have to find other options.

I’m not able to call Nigeria after I bought international minutes and they couldn’t help. Can’t call my family

Doesn’t work. Cannot get this app to work. It will not access my contacts. I tried manually entering contacts & it either says it can’t call that number or it dials a random number. The number does work when I manually dial the international number & phone number outside this app. Very frustrating!

Straight talk international calling. Worst app ever!!!! Doesn’t work with iPhone 6. Called for help with tech support never were able to find out why I couldn’t place calls. Don’t use this app. Tech support won’t help you!!!!

Highly disappointing. I had been using the $10 global card since few months. Last two times have been issues and it is yet to be resolved. Last time I had bought one, I never made a single call and every time it was saying insufficient funds but my total value gone down to 50 cents. And straight talk giving me details if calls I have never spoken but just dialed but didn’t get a line. This time, I could make one call but later calls just says that the call cannot be availed now and asking me to buy unlimited plan. Highly disappointed

Money wasted. International calls doesn’t always go thru . I’m ready to just get a different phone carrier. Too many glitches.

App keeps crashing shutting down. As I try to re-adjust my International contacts in the app to match with my regular phone book. The app keeps crashing and shutting down every few minutes.

Apps doesn’t work. The apps doesn’t work anymore. I called customer service but they are useless. When I open the apps it asks me to register my number, and when I put my number in, it says that the number I put in is not a straighttalk number... What is going on? I have been a customer of straighttalk using the same number for 12 years!

Ok. Good concept, the only issue i noticed is that 1) when u purchase the global LD it does not tell u that there is a separate App for it. 2) does not show u how to make the calls... i figured it out by googling it.

The app itself is ugly.. Whenever you call somewhere...in my case the Philippines, you can hear people in the background of your call, usually talking in another language before they realize you are there. Or in some cases aren't there at all and your call will ring continually, and again this isn't the person you are callings phone that is ringing, this is whoever is supposed to connect you not doing thier job, or not even being present to.

Does not preform its primary function. The app is not working, I select numbers from the phone book or type them in and the app momentarily dials then hangs ups. It was working, now it does not. It is very frustrating to pay for a service that is not accessible. I would stay clear until these key issues are fixed.

Easy to use. I like the fact that depending on the country you're calling, it gives you the amount of minutes available! Awesome..

May be better. This app was good a while ago, still good but does not show the $$ balance anymore after an upgrade was done. Calls are good

Never Again Useless app. This is a stupid app and crap, coz when I enter the number that I suppose to call and when I tap the call button it will show a different or random numbers than I didn’t know where it came from and will automatically drop the call ... !!$&&@x just a frustration in life didn’t solve my problem even if I call or talk to Straight talk customer service!!

Not worth it TBH. My family lives in the pacific polynesian area and ive been trying to use the app to call back home, followed the instructions the app gives and it still didnt work, glad i only wasted $10. On a side note the straight talk phone service works alright, its good for people who dont wanna get into inconvenient phone plans

Calls to Germany. I make frequent calls to Germany. Love the App and have no problems.

Does not work. It makes me put number in but it says that my number is not a straight talk number ... had this number with straight talk for years

Cellphones option. The app is very good, but it should have the option to call mobile numbers to venezuela and not just home numbers ! Hope they fix that

Virginia. Straight Talk doesn’t work internationally, its system is terrible. Our money invested in international calls added to our monthly prepaid service is unworthy. Our money should be returned.

Text too light!!. The setting words on the bottom of app are too light of a grey color & hard to see!! I had to change the bold settings on my phone to try to see it better!! Please change it to a darker text, like a black color, so we can see it better!!

Worthless!. Bad connection, drop calls, time-lapse, & hard to hear. Going back to google voice when time is up.

I need help. So I downloaded this app a while ago and was using it just fine, but yesterday it started asking me to register, and add my phone number so I did and it says I’m not a customer even though I am!! I called customer support and they were no help. I still can’t use it and the phone number just says that I can’t complete my call at this time.

Inconsistent. You will be using the app for months and one day it just will stop working suddenly and the techs will carry you through a process, after which they tell you that you can now make international calls. You try and the calls fail to go through. Then as suddenly as it stopped, it starts working again some days later. Hit and miss. If only it were consistent it would be a good app because the call quality is very good.

International long distance that doesn’t work. After years of simply dialing a number to call Canada, my long distance stopped working. Mice invested several hours trying to resolve this issue with this company and it is defective. The app simply hangs up on the number I call and without the app it says “we seem to be experiencing technical difficulties” Far too much time wasted with this junk service. Switching to Verizon, better coverage and cheaper!

Do not pay for this service you will regret it!. The app does not allowed to register my number. 5 calls , 6 different representatives and about 5 hours later and they can figure it out. No one can help you avoid at all costs it’s a nightmare!

Terrible app. I purchased unlimited plan with unlimited international calls. I was on the phone with costumer service almost all day. Problem was not fixed. Everything else is excellent except the international calls that are very important to me. If this issue isn’t fixed the next day I will switch carrier immediately.

A bunch of crap!. Won’t let me make any international calls!! Whenever I try calling it pops up and says this app is only for international calls. Well that’s what I’m trying to do. Wish I would never went with Straighttalk. Switching when month is up.

UNLIMITED DATA- lie.. Well for years I was ok with their service. Until now, because I cancelled my home internet I got over 60gb limit and even that I suppose to have unlimited data, speed in my phone went rapidly down. When I called costumer service they told me that they fixed that and I have to just reboot my phone. Nothing changed. I went to Apple store, they ran diagnostic because I thought something is wrong with phone. They found issues, but not with the phone, with cellular provider!!! So I called to Straight Talk, same answer - reboot your phone !!!

Horrible. The app constantly crashes! My contacts were multiply by 1000s 😡 straight talk do better or you’re going to have to be facing another group class lawsuit !

Not a good app. Poor quality. Not making calls. Keeps saying we noticed a change on calling pattern. And call customer services and No one seems to know what the problem was.

Horrible from the start. I downloaded app and it asked me to enter my phone number. I did and it gave me an error message 3 different times saying this number is not a straighttalk phone number. IT IS. I have had it for 9 years.

Terrible service. I’ve been trying to make a call to Liberia and haven’t been able to get through at all. I’m doing all the steps correctly but each time, I hear the machine saying “We’ve noticed a change in your calling pattern. Please call customer care to review your account”. I’ve been battling with this for the past month already and I’m getting tired of it. No change. About to switch carriers when the month is up.

Excellent. It's easy and great app to call international

Disconnect. I had buy $65 nation & internation & $10 dollars calling card. I had call call in Manila had disconnect. Just fix the app. I had call other countries, same number everytime. Idk already I just waste $ 10 dollars is globe calling card.

Lousy customer support.. I bought an international plan for my daughter, and it is not working. Calling customer support is fruitless as they blame it on the phone, and simply cannot provide a solution. I bought a $10 international calling card, which I had in the past, and it is not working. Currently looking for a new provider.

After months still cannot make my calls. I tried to make a call , I followed everything At the end I pushed the little phone to complete the call, appears another number in my screen asking to call it or cancel the ongoing call. I talked to customer service, and after an hour and half, he find out he was unable to fix the problem meanwhile my money still in the app and I cannot transfer to a international calling card balance

Service on the phone. Straight Talk it is a nice thing to help the only thing I do not like about it is here at my house the only way I get service is a come outside and do it off my Wi-Fi because Verizon service does not connect at my home addressg ?

International Calling App. Fairly reliable, could work out some bugs with “Dropped Calls.” May just go tho the International calling plans next time I reop, as the relationship I currently in requires more calling than this card is designed for. Plus, telecommunications sometimes get overloaded with current demographics.

Doesn’t work. Just bought a $10 card and downloaded the international app to call Canada. My account on the straight talk app shows I can make international calls but the international app says I have a $0 balance and when I try to add my Canadian contact the app closes. When I try to call the number by calling the straight talk number that doesn’t work either.

Basic and ok. After the many years this company has...I expected better service and updates. It could be the corona virus season and companies not having many employees...but my balance doesn’t show correctly after days of buying international minutes, and when I use the in app “chat” to ask customer service they can’t help and it takes forever to communicate back and forth. It is very basic, but I have been able to talk for half an hour uninterrupted. And even if you have balance it doesn’t let you talk long nonstop. It is great for the price! It gives me 60 minutes for $10 when others would give me half of that.

Doesn’t work. When I try to dial a number in Germany it instead asks to cancel or call a completely random US number. This should be pretty basic but it doesn’t work.

Thieves. They took my $500 for an annual service then they gave me service for a few months. Horrible outsourced customer service. They should be tried for RECO.

Good quality calls. The quality of my calls have been excellent. I like that I know how many minutes I have left every time I make a call

straight talk international calling. During the winter of early 2022, I used Straight Talk for calls home to Canada while in FL. I was able yo directly dial those numbers. Now when I signed up for this winter, I either have to dial an access number first or use an app. Dialing the access number works but the app which is supposed to eliminate using an access number first, doesn’t work. I read all instructions I could find on the internet to no avail.

Doesn't work. When I click on my contact's number, the app asked if I want to call this number, but the number it asks me to verify (to call) is not my contact's number.

Doesn’t work. I was supposed to be able to avoid a “middle man” number. This doesn’t. My favorite numbers aren’t recognized, and I have no way of direct dialing anyone. If you try using this as it’s explained, it’ll take you twice as long. More bug fixes required!

0 calls successful. Every call I make to the Bahamas does not go through. 0 success rate so far. Yet, each failed call cost a minute of time!

Needs work. App does not work correctly with iPhone 5. You have to manually type in the phone number. Doesn't work from contacts. It is a real pain!!!!

Non functional app. This app crashes on my iPhone 4 running 5.1.1. It claims to work on older phones. How about real product testing before releasing it?

Worked Great for Germany calls!. After reviewing several less than favorable reviews, and one good one whose Germany calls worked, I gave it a try. It works beautifully! And the part about a survey after each call being annoying- just turn it off in the apps settings. My Aunt was so happy we can talk now. Thanks!

Droid works iPhone doesn't. Used it on my droid and worked great. Got an iphone5 and it says the phone number in canada I called with this app on my droid just fine for the last 5 months Isn't in the right format to dial from my iPhone. Even though it is in the exact format the app says is needed in Canada.

Works just as well as their customer service. The App does not allow calls to Germany from the address book. You can dial the same number that gets an error message when dialing from the address book by hand and the call gets established. Reinstalled a few times. Piece of garbage for sure.

This app can not make phone call to China at all!. The worst app I ever make phone call, it won’t make any phone call to China, I’ve been trying all day.

If you have any hope in using this don't unless your Mexican because that's virtually what international means to these numbskulls. Won't complete call. It drops before it even rings. It gives me the balance but will not continue with the call. Idk what to even do.

Suggestion. Works great but it would be soooo incredibly handy if you could ad another button selection for international calls. Right now it has "Dial a number" and "Call a contact" but it would be sooo useful to have a "recently called" button. That way I don't have to search for contacts I call every day. Cant wait to get over with my minutes. I dont freaking understand why we should be using an app to call overseas why not to be able to dial straight to the phone without using a crappy app that force u to leave feedback for each call. The sound quality is like crap get over that!!! Screw you straight talk!!!

Wish I could give it Zero stars. I downloaded the app after buying $10 worth of international minutes. I thought this is would be the way to use my international minutes, through this app, i was wrong. This app is at least five generations behind what it needs to be. nobody has maintained this app in forever. But Walmart got their money so it doesn't matter. DO NOT buy international minutes through straight talk, you will get ripped off!!

This app should go directly to the trash can!!!. Obviously the creators don't even read the reviews, otherwise they would of fix it by now cause' this garbage doesn't work with iphones and i'd been reading more and more complaints and nobody does anything. So, if you read this and have an iphone...don't installed it, period!!!!

“dial a contact” does not work. Followed the instructions as best I could - but dial a contact does not work. Please add an image of an example contact for Canada and Europe/Mid-East to show the format needed to make dial a contact work.

No recommended to use. When making a call, it always repeats the conversations and the voice id unclear.........
