InBrowser - Private Browsing App Reviews

Vpn disabled by my hackers. They constantly play a game of cat and mouse with me and unless I look for the vpn logo at the top of the page I could be without the vpn for hours. They also block my favorite contacts when they kick me off vpn and I have no idea why I am not getting replies from them.

Biometrics needs work. The app seems to recognize/read your fingerprint quite well. But to use certain features u have to have to adjust the biometric settings which I’m guessing were accidentally overlooked or forgotten to be added in

Inbrowser is a great app!!. I love how they give you privacy options and like what search engine you want to use.

Doesn’t Work - Can’t Connect to Anything. Waste of time, literally does nothing. Repeated error when searching for anything or trying to connect to any website.

Full screen previews. Please add an option so that videos playing don’t automatically go full screen.

Browser keep saying out of date. I’m not sure how to fix that issue, other than update the app. But there’s not an update yet.

IB. One star is the lowest rating… if could rate it lower, like ZERO, I would! Reason is it’s completely useless and can not be used so a rating is not possible. Tried everything but to no avail. Good luck to future downloaders.

Browser doesn’t work. The Inbrowser hasn’t worked since I’ve started the subscription. The vpn also blocks my safari app from doing searches. Worthless. I have to turn the vpn off to use any browser.

Finally Your Privacy/Information is Truly Yours.. I’ve been a PIA customer for 6 months now and just realized they had a private browser. The only noticeable difference between this browser and Google Chrome,Safari, IE, Edge, etc is the ability to be in total control of my privacy and what, if anything, any company tries to illegitimately gain through our connection. The ability to save, text, or share anything with any app, and that app not have the ability to see what it is, is priceless. The settings and control are amazing. And the architecture of the browser/app are top notch, easy to use, with incredible UI. I’d give this all the stars possible anytime.

How I enjoyed the new browser.. I like setting it up and it is making looking up things a whole lot better.

What happen to the test feature. Where is the private test button feature? It was a good way to check the VPN.

Big brother?. Used to be great no history but now it’s an option that could be undone by another app or update. Browser will also not go landscape. I’ll stop using. It’s also exposing me when I use your own In Browser and I have to reset everything and try again.

100% Privacy Free. I was a PIA guy for over a decade and think they do kind of care about users privacy, however User Agent multiple choice and ‘incognito mode by default’ doesn’t quite cut the privacy browsing mustard when also transmitting a phone’s unique ID everywhere and allowing a unique browser fingerprints to be configured. Kinda makes Devs own keep no records policy a bit of a wash, no? Not meant to offend since compliance is rough and getting worse for sure, but InBrowser is a miss for the London Trust homies.

Send To action does not work. The "Send To" feature for Safari browser can be told to send a URL to InBrowser, and a pop-up claims the URL is being opened in InBrowser, but it does not open the URL. That feature is broke.

I think I’m pretty safe. One thing I wish u did have is to block my name so I stop getting stupid scam text messages u might have that I’m just new to the app

Very good search engines. Keeps everything private but when I try to use DuckDuckGo it crashes.

Used to be Better. All of a sudden the app changed. It’s not as simple as it used to be. The back arrow are hard to depress to work. The app in my opinion is not as fast as it used to be. I’ll continue to use it, but if I find something as good as this used to be I will switch.

Used to work MUCH BETTER!. So the “new” update allows non https usage. HOWEVER, there is nothing actually private about this browser! Somehow, I receive tracking emails from most sites I visit “privately”! The browser piggybacks on safari to the point of no privacy. The screen is bigger but the interface is worse! Screen orientation doesn’t rotate..

Best one So Far. Going to Test Drive it for now everything is tracked and recorded and isn’t against the law , if things get any worse information brokerage companies will be the new BANKING Industry !!!!!!

So far so great!!. I can just say I like. Not gonna say why but I do’ & u will too. After using for a while now . Connected to my phone is always a hit & miss. On my laptop it’s flawless. But phone connection is why I want this app the most. So I had to take away 2 stars for not connecting on my phone easily. Creators please fix

Feel Safe. Feel better knowing I have some privacy. Lot of unsafe site. My bank got haked last week. Do not use your credit card online. Go Onion mode. Be safe my peeps.

Great private browser. Has some minor annoyances, like not being able to view in landscape mode, but I’ll take the privacy over that any day.

Very nice and easy to use browser. InBrowser works well for most sites I have tried. A bit confusing at first finding the controls, but once you get the hang of the few options it is simple to navigate. My only ding is the lack of a tab bar. It currently has a separate pop-up screen where the tabs are located and can be managed. It does work but it is more effort than other competitive browsers. Not a major problem, but something to be aware of in its idiosyncratic behavior.

Nothing on startpage. Nothing on start page. No suggestions, trending, nothing.

App has stopped woking for the past month. When trying to use chat dosnt allow me to use the feture on any sites and when trying to use cam resets doesnt stay on site please fix

It stopped working. The app gives me an error message that something is wrong and won’t load any page that I try to go to. I’ve deleted and reinstalled several times and it doesn’t work. All my other apps work fine. I’ve used this a long time and loved it until now. No user support either.

Secure browser with PIA. I trust PIA and have been using them for years now with no issues. Only request please keep reducing latency and spreading traffic over new localized IPs. Thank you

Freezes. I have a iPhone 11 and when I open this browser it either freezes when opened or after I type in something to search it will freeze. I have to close out the app and try again. It work on the second or third try but it is annoying.

Love it!. Best privacy browser I’ve ever used. Even if you do nothing wrong, why allow others to spy on you? How about they let us see what they’re looking at at all times! 🤔

Pb. This app has a lot of potential but does not supply the features it is offering yet, it will get there maybe

Buggy. I find the app to be buggy in that it’ll freeze at any given moment, particularly after searching for something. Also, it seems I was put through a VPN taking me to a different country which greatly affected my search results. Great idea but less than stellar execution.

Caution downloads automatically. Be very careful with this one it now automatically downloads and you can’t stop it. I’ve stopped using

I’m so sad about this. I would give 5 stars if I could connect to the internet I have been messing with this for days now paid a lot of money and it keeps telling me something went wrong I talked to the support team and they said only works with the chrome extension on iPhone or Firefox I switched it and still nothing the support team is very fast at responding that’s the only reason I’m taking the time to out this on here

NEEDS WORK. Hard to use. Amateur looking.. App is not user friendly at all. It’s also unclear whether it blocks trackers, cookies, web banner adds, etc. I want privacy but I want a good user experience too. Why even browse if it isn’t enjoyable and easy. No way a “recreational person” would browse with this. PIA should consider that it doesn’t represent their company well. Make something professional, or not at all. I hope you improve.

Needs updating. Wish it would be updated for the iphone X screen, as well as fixing the bug where browsing history is briefly shown when re-opening the app.

I’m not fond of this app.. I’ve had trouble with this app. At first the vpn would t stay on.. just go off on it’s own. It would prevent me from accessing websites. I updated my software on iPhone and now it won’t go off if I manually turn it off.. it comes back on. I still cannot access a lot of websites. I deleted it. I can now access some of the websites. I don’t know why it’s acting this way but I’m displeased. Very much displeased.

A long time user fan of the brains of IB" Private Internet Access" VPN. 7 years. It's a cool super simple, super light weight browser that doesn't dig into your devices brains. Private, Quick, easy.......The opposite of Brave. I love that big monster but IB is sleek ....no fuss......go try installing Microsoft Edge.....that's was a pleasant(not) memory of working with Windows products. I was just looking around for light weight browser.....and it was already on my iPad,computer etc.....Support the little guys!!!!

You need this. In this day and age, where virtually everything you do online, everything you buy, everywhere you go, everyone you talk to & what you say have become data to be harvested by the corporations providing the devices, software & apps we freely sign up for and use, we need a browser like this which provides a basic level of customizable shielding and the ability to automatically delete your tracks as you cruise web sites. You don’t need to be a person doing anything wrong to not want to see ads popping up in your Facebook feed regarding some obscure weird website you clicked on an explored while you were using your normal browser (NOT Facebook) That’s just creepy.

Stop working. The app does not load the website up it comes out an error saying “something went wrong please try again.” I’ve installed it and reinstalled it it still doesn’t work.

Unable to search at all.. Every time I try to make a search, it comes up with an error. I’m unable to contact any Helpdesk, as far as the app is concerned there is limited information on what to do in this situation also. Disappointing as I love PIA.

Totally useless. And I literally DO mean TOTALLY - I have kept for a few days now thinking it might be a server problem on their end, but so far it has been a 100% FAIL. No matter what I put into the browser to search, so far the only thing I get is a pop up with a big Red Cross and the message “Something went wrong. Please try again”. If the devs fix this or provide me with a solution in the next few days to get it working I will update this review to reflect that, but if not I will be deleting the app and this review will remain unchanged.

A good start. But it’s privacy is quite limited without the ability to disable JavaScript.

Just needs options. In terms of data collection and privacy, it is good. It would just be nice to have a few customization options that give it a more useful appeal to the masses. Two features that immediately come to mind would be: 1. Allowing us to specify a home page or to use the IB start page. 2. Allowing us to chose if videos start in full screen or not. Honestly, I love that videos do it by default, but having the option would be nice.

Private??. It's a decent browser, but if it's as private as they say it is, why are there trending topics? Seems like data is being collected somewhere...

Private?. How it can be private if it allows ONLY Google search? Other browsers such as Atomic Web, let you to set up any new search engine.

Problem since the last update. Since the last update, I cannot « come back » to the previous window. Otherwise it is good.

Something went wrong. Please try again. No matter how many times I try again, something always goes wrong. It’s never worked for me. Not once. I’m a PIA subscriber so this is pretty surprising/ disappointing. I’ve never had an issue with PIA but this experience makes me question how secure PIA is if they can release this.

There’s still ads. It’s not great

Privacy test. The privacy test came back and said I needed a VPN which I have on as well as it the PIA VPN they suggest getting. That being said it’s not a real test or it would’ve known that. It’s terrible you’d stoop to this level for advertising

Needs Work. Extremely lacking options that can be set by the user. The auto fullscreen video mode is very annoying & can cause you to get stuck watching a video in fullscreen mode, even trying to exit it will go back to full screen. Even preview video clips get put into full screen. There are no options to turn this off, and that along prevents me from using this app till its either an option to turn off or default is off. App has great potential, so let’s see what the devs do to improve it.

Great concept, horrible execution. I depend on tap-hold-open_in_new_tab, and tap-hold-copy_link. Without these very basic necessities, the app isn’t worth using. Sorry. Add these, and you’ll deserve my 5 stars.

Bad update. This update removes the ability to test your connection to confirm that it is secure. This was one of the main benefits of the app.

Unreliable. It’s 50/50 if it works.

Very Strong & Ruthless. The Browser by Private Internet Access is very Solid. Low Memory Capacity occupied with efficient Quality and diligence to deliver tasks with little to no return errors. Whenever I protection my browsing through any VPN Service, once I go on web to search a thing or two, I'm first welcomed with your Network looks suspicious as you are pinging from different servers... It's Google's way of doing whatever that is, in the plight of preventing only them know what they preventing or safeguarding cause it has no obvious sensible agenda to it. And it's very frustrating 😭 A smartphone has the most efficient way of securing it's users in this millennium from internet harm through various security measures of which “I AM NOT A ROBOT RECAPTCHA” isn't one of them for real, stop giving Netizenz Stress-Assignment GOOGLE. We all know you just using the re-captcha to cloud us to believe you know what you doing against scam. BUT WITH INBROWSER I DONT EVEN NEED TO HAVE MY VPN ON... All Garbages of stupid irreasonable Recaptcha that stall my browsing even when I'm not filling out a form online is gone. Noticing INBROWSER did this for me I decided to see if other Browsers would save me that hurdle and for real I tired all other browsers on the globe and none did. Closing note; For real 🙄 if Scammers were using Bots do you really think picking a fire hydrant in a picture of Bicycles would be a task they can't bypass🤦🏾‍♂️.... And they don't use Bots to spam people you should know better GOOGLE so count the chase acting like you on track.

Outdated. I love this company’s PIA VPN app, but this browser app hasn’t been updated in over a year. I would not trust it.
