They stole my money. Apple this app called what ever stoled my money after I paid to buy a new number to make calls ..they collected the money and when I am buying the number it says my account is limited .I talked to their support nicely and he asked me a few info and I gave them and after that they are closing the ticket and the report saying my account has being disabled and can’t use it and there for they won’t respond to me after few days ..this app is a Fraud don’t waste your money on here Fake app

Didn’t receive texts or some calls. I didn’t receive all texts sent to this number until days after and even then found out that one that was also sent completely never made it. So the service is spotty The international number feature is cool but being able to see messages sent to this number in a timely manner and getting ALL of them is a minimum requirement.

Love Ring4. I tested the app with 3g and low bandwidth and calls are going through! Ring4 is the best 2nd phone line app, period.

Good for the money, a little buggy. Call and text features work well, but app does not refresh quickly. I have to force stop in order to read new text messages. I also wish the call log was separate from my cellphone call log as I use my Ring line for business.

This app is awful. This app is awful. Its showing I have no credits even though I purchased them and was charged. I updated the app thinking it was maybe due to an old version. Nope. New version is even more terrible. I can’t even sign in. I got through once and then the app immediately crashed. Don’t waste your time on this one.

Slow receiving text messages and voicemails. You’ll get a notification you have a message but when you go to the app the message doesn’t appear until minutes later.

Unreliable. I had the app for a little over a year. It was working fine then all of my information left and customer support is unresponsive. I do like the fact that you can have multiple numbers.

Deceptive. I downloaded and signed up for a number thinking you only had to pay to get the initial number and then it was free- nowhere in the pricing or on the website does it explain you only get 6 free days and then you have to pay! Also very hard to find out how much credits costs, isn’t listed in the pricing. So I just threw away money to get a number for 6 days when I was looking for a long term Google Voice alternative.

Most cost effective - Superstable. After test driving several similar apps...by far Ring4 is the best. The plan is solid and at 9.99 a month in the US - its the best price point. Reception and voice quality are superb. Its just like having a second sim accept of course you dont have a data plan. Im sure they are trying to figure that it as I type this ... lastly - customer service is Johnny-on-the-spot! They answer your most basic questions immediately.

Latest Version is awful. Newest iteration forces you to login via Facebook or Google, meaning there’s clearly data harvesting happening. This new sign-in process defeats at least half the purpose of having an anonymous second number. In addition, all my old texts have disappeared with the latest release. Will be canceling even though I paid for unlimited.

Rip off. What a joke! I mean, if you want to sell something, at least deliver once you have received payment. I’ve purchased credits on several occasions, and they appear on the purchase page.. but they are gone once you get to the call page

Bad customer service and doesn’t work (updated). I tried to use the app in Austria. I paid for the $9.99 unlimited plan, and expected to to be able to make/receive calls/texts. I received calls, but couldn’t call out AT ALL!!! I tried to contact Ring4 customer support via email. I received one response asking me some questions, but then no responses after that to my repeated follow-up requests for help. I also tried to contact Ring4 through the app. No response. I was very frustrated and had to request a refund from Apple. I am very disappointed with Ring4’s service. The app/service makes a lot of promises but doesn’t deliver. Don’t be fooled like I was. Updated: After a few days, the representative responded. He was very responsive and willing to solve the problems. I can finally use the number and am happy with their service afterwards. I can see that they take customers’ comments seriously, that’s whyI decided to change my rating.

Not working. I purchased the 9.99 unlimited text/calls package and once I tried to send messages, it didnt go though and keeps prompting me to buy more credits...I have no idea how to get a refund. I purchased this app to use on my deployment overseas

Working at the moment. Tested and working for me. This seems a perfect app for my job.

I would choose Google Voice or Talkatone. I would go with Google Voice or Talkatone both give you free phone numbers and unlimited US and Canada calling and for an inexpensive add on are other countries for like 0.1c minute calls to Cellular Devices in far away destinations with expensive phone networks. You pay for a number, calls, to keep you number long term, to make texts etccc.. it’s like the rest and a rip off.

Very poor support and technology. Support is poor and hard to reach. The system is not very robust and keeps dropping my custom greeting. Very embarrassing, awkward, and unreliable service for my business. Sad but I have to keep testing their system every few days, not what I expected.

Generally okay. I have tried countless second line apps for international calling and texting and by far this has the best service package ($10/number w/unlimited calling and texting for at least English speaking countries). As other have mentioned, support is crap. I sent them an email, they responded 3 days later to tell them they were working on the bug. It took 3 months for them to fix it 😒. I understand bugs take time, but a time frame would have been great too, or at least an update on progress. That being said, running into an issue where I am not getting any notifications from the app and am not expecting a fix anytime before fall. Otherwise, it does what I need it to do.

BAD BAD BAD. I have been using the Australia number on the app for about 5 months not until last month I couldn’t send message or make calls am on the unlimited plan. I sent Ring4 a message but got only one response and noting more since then . Horrible I must say

It works!. It does what it says it does which is mask your real number. However, you will need to add credits by paying $$.

Omg. this is the best free mobile phone app i have ever seen, the first time you log in you will get 20 credits and can use a free number for 2 weeks, not like another apps i have seen, always money. hmmm , very very much thanks to the developers.

The best edit app.. The service is excellent and so is the variety of available phone numbers. I addition, its fees are on the lower end of this industry.

In-app Noises. I was considering this app. Everything seemed great until I noticed there’s no way to turn off the in-app sounds for messages and whatnot. You’re telling me I have to restart my other audio each time a send a text? If there truly isn’t any way to work around this, I’ll be forced to try another app.

Waste of money. I give no stars I cant create new numbers even if i made new ones a bunch of times should let me create as many as I want as long as i pay for it with my own money… low rating until i can create and burn as i want to without saying i cant

It's the perfect solution for a digital nomad like me!. I have been looking for solution like Ring4 for a long time. When travelling for work in foreign countries, I usually buy local SIM cards to have mobile internet without having to pay the expensive roaming fees that US operators normally charge. But I wanted to still be able to use a local US phone number, on which I could be reached and that I could call from, even if I changed my SIM card. I'm happy to have finally found the solution for me and my wife with Ring4. Thanks guys for your great product!

The. Worst. Ever.. I’ve spent two days with Lean, chatting on and off. He can’t remember anything he told me, so I sent him screen shots. The customer service is the worst. Then go down ten levels from that for tech support. Never again.

Easy. I needed a disposable number for a few hours and setting it up with Ring4 was effortless, literally 1 minute.

Worst app ever. This app is absolutely not functional. Every single call goes silent after 30 seconds and I have to call everyone back from a different line. The app doesn’t show whether you have messages on the Home Screen like every other messaging app. You have to open it to find out. And people don’t receive my texts answering them most of the time. Completely useless especially for business. And on top of that they don’t allow you to port your number away from them. Buyer beware!

I got charged. Downloaded the app and then got 10 dollar charge to my account without buying the service. It’s a scam. Then why haven’t I received a single response to my emails?? It has been over a month now, no response, no help. They charged me and won’t let me cancel subscription. BEWARE this app

Infuriatingly bad. I haven’t been able to successfully make an outgoing call for four weeks with my unlimited plan. Customer service tells me to exit and reopen the app. I’m using my number for business, so this is absolutely infuriating.

No Australia number/No Customer Service. I obtained credit to get a preferred number and test this app out. Though the app said I could make an Australian number, it isn’t listed as one of the ‘creation numbers’ (and won’t permit me to make one despite saying I had to create one in order to text) so I essentially paid for a product which I won’t be able to use. I tried contacting customer service and no one got back to me. I am still on the hunt for a burner number to call/text in Australia.

So far fair. Hopefully I can update this with more stars. Getting my account set up was frustrating…Setting up the vm was a major pain point. About seven months in or maybe more, I had issues getting kicked out of the app and then logging back in. While a lot of my issue was the way I was logging in (user error) the page that it takes you to to log back into the account looks like you’re starting a brand new account…. Which didn’t help me figure it out faster…. I also lost all of my contacts so I recommend saving everything to your phone.

Privacy issues. I realized that the application does let use a VPN. Then, when I check their privacy policy I understand now why. This is the Facebook of the ring! Personal address, audio data... Seriously?! Update: Creating a business for you to get my professional audio data? Are you joking? Business data leak is even worst than private one. No thanks, especially when I read all the critics about privacy issues.

Different numbers when sending text messages?. I would give it a 5 Star, but why everyone I text tells me my messages comes in from different numbers every time and not from my registered number I used to sign up? Please address this problem or better explain.

Advertised as free. Downloaded this app because it was advertised as being free, I only needed to use a throw away number once. Was immediately charged $10.

Premier second line app. Definitely sends all messages in real time. Also gives credits for completing offers, better selection than most other apps.

Very impressed with the service and quality of this App!!. To be honest, I was a little hesitant at first but now, 3 months later, I can confirm that I am very impressed with the quality of the calls and service here!! Highly recommended!!

Issue. I’m having an issue trying to login with my google account. It says deleted account and the oAuth client was deleted. I send a message via twitter and open a ticket and don’t have any answers. Please fix it

Not bad .... I guess this wasn’t bad as experience but it’s just that these guys force you with a plan after a certain period where the number expires and this is a very short period ...

Previously good now very bad. I’ve had this for some years now and it went seamlessly for me not until recently last year I’ve been billed twice while trying to purchase a new number after the old one expired and after purchase of credit I try to get the number all I see is “your account is limited please contact c support “ like why would you bill me in the first place if my acc is limited I simply see it as fraud please do the needful by refunding my money I’ve written to you guys uncountable times without any response so worse customer care service too ever

No audio. No voice

Create US Phone Numbers. Awesome app for creating US Phone numbers, it's so easy to create and delete with the bonus of spam filtering. If I was still in the dating scene this would be gold.

Doesn't work. Tap to connect and I get a white screen. Great.

Double charging. I paid $1.50 for a number then they said I had to pay $15 a month to view the messages sent to that number, absolutely ridiculous avoid this scummy app

This app is garbage.. Over priced, complicated to use, the free credit "tasks" even though I completed about 5 now did not yield any additional credits as promised. At this point I am not able to try the app to see if it even works. Just feels like one big swindle to get people to click on ads, take surveys and or sign up for free trials... Stay away!

Absolute scam. This app is an absolute scam that purposefully list its pricings in a misleading way. First of all, the phone number that you buy with credits will expire after a week, and you will need more credits to make calls. This is the annoyingly misleading part, as the app is intentionally designed to make you jump several hoops for payment. Now, the scam part. I bought the 1 month subscription after buying a number with credits and attempted to make a call within the country I am in, and I get a “sorry, this call is not covered by your plan”. I am in Canada, making a call to somewhere in Canada, so why is it “not covered by the plan”? Disgusting business practice, I am not even sure how this scam app is still on the Apple store. For those who fell for this scam, it is typically possible to request a refund from Apple by contacting their refund department on the Apple website. Which is what I am going to do. I hope that whoever is behind this scummy business steps on many lego bricks.

Does’nt work. After you buy credits, you can’t purchase any numbers because of some weird error that keeps popping up. Contacted support and no reply in over 5 days. Stay away from this garbage app. Oh and don’t fall for the ‘20 free credits’ to start, you never receive those either

WASTE OF MONEY. Don’t waste your money if you plan to use for texting, have to buy credits for phone number and then it says you need to pay 13.99 a month to text and call. Needed for text so that’s all I tried and doesn’t work at All! Texts come in as weird voicemail recordings and get errors when I try and use the number for text verification saying you can’t text this number. Waste of money if that’s what you want it for!!

Doesn’t work. I added credits, got a number and can’t even make a call. Sent a request to support and they still haven’t responded. Now my number has expired and I couldn’t even make my call.

Top quality service. Wow amazing service with an issue I had in Canada with the Rogers network. Customer support (Alex) worked with me well into the evening diagnosing the exact issue and was corrected the next day. Awesome service and nice to know someone actually cares. No credits. Had to delete the app and re-install. I signed in with same account but now i have 0 credits and no phone numbers. Don’t download until they fix this.

Not a real cell number. They advertise one thing and deliver another. These are basic voip landline numbers and you will have no end of trouble with them.

No information on how to cancel.. There’s no info on how to cancel this app, so they just keep charging me every month.

This is a SCAM. For this add you need to keep adding money or take a survey that at the end you need to subscribe to something the you don't want and they charge you for it. IT is not a free app. Be careful ..... IS NOT FREE.

Cannot port out. If I pay for a number and I like, their system will not let you port it out. You can port as manny as you like into Ring4, but they will not allow you to port it out.
