Doctor On Demand Comments & Reviews 2026

Poor practice. I spoke with a physician twice in one week after my cough/phlegm wouldn’t go away. The 1st physician was extremely polite and told me to call back in a couple of days if my symptoms did not go away. I tried what the physician prescribed which was probably helpful but it didn’t help the cold go away(viral infection). I booked another visit and the second Dr. called back(Dr. Lwin) this physician was the worst physician I’ve ever encountered in my life. I was told to get robitussin and Tylenol which I told her I took before I even made the 1st appointment. When she didn’t like what I was saying she disconnected my call which I didn’t understand. So I reached out to the support team to let them know what happened and I was told they trust there Dr.’s and I should take the over the counter medication she prescribed. I ended up going to the minor med and they prescribed me some antibiotics due to the nature and how long I had the viral infection. The office visit was a waste of money and the Dr. was paid for doing absolutely nothing. I will not recommend this app to anyone and I have deleted this myself. Sorry for the long post but I wouldn’t wish that treatment on anyone so I’m trying to save you the hassle of not using this app. There’s several more teladoc apps that I’ll be checking before I download them. Until then I’ll be making office visits.

Highly Recommend. I don’t often write app reviews but felt compelled to with this. I am an international flight attendant and this app is a game changer for me! If it had not been for Dr on Demand I would have had to find an urgent care center somewhere, wait hours in a room filled with other sick people and would’ve paid far more just to be told what I already intuitively know...that I have a head cold and an ear infection. These factors are what usually kept me from going to urgent care and getting the treatment I probably needed. Can you imagine being in a foreign country, not speaking the language, having to weather snow and ice on foot while you try to make your way to a hospital in a country where you don’t have insurance coverage, alone, only to have to trek back to your hotel and find the nearest pharmacy on the way? It’s a big deterrent. Now, with Dr on Demand, I can do it from the comfort of my hotel room and the app will locate the closest pharmacy. Today, this app and the wonderful doctor kept me from flying with a middle ear infection and risking potentially blowing an ear drum, which would have resulted in permanent hearing loss. I waited less than two minutes and the appointment probably only took five minutes. This is my new, most favorite health app! Everyone should download it and have it ready for when they need it.

Outstanding service. I may have reviewed this app previously but regardless… this app/service really is a huge help. I travel all the time and when I need help with a health issue and can’t get to my Dr, Dr’s on Demand is there to help. They were a bit busy tonight so even though it said estimated wait time was 5-10 minutes, the 20 minutes I waited was nothing compared to going and sitting for hours in an Urgent Care. The Dr had my history and my list of current symptoms that I gave when signing in. We had a conversation about my health, my past and my current situations and came up with a treatment plan for me. She sent the medications I needed to the pharmacy of my choice… you pick it using their easy mapping system before your visit… and that was it! All of this in way under 1 hour. Before she signed off, she made sure that we had covered all my concerns, that all my questions were answered and wished me good health. This service really is a game changer.

Dr on Demand is a lifesaver!. I am so grateful that I’ve found this app 5 years ago. I do not have insurance and it is so convenient, I can see a doctor within minutes, in my car in a parking lot, on my couch, anywhere, anytime. Who wants to drive to the doctors office, sit in in a waiting room with screaming kids, other sick people or who knows what else and have to wait there when you don’t feel good or have a child that isn’t feeling good… When you could just open up an app, wait for a couple minutes on your couch, see A doctor via FaceTime get a prescription called into whatever pharmacy you choose and then only have to go pick up a prescription. It saves time and for a lot of people it’s probably less than a co-pay. It’s a heck of a lot cheaper for me as an uninsured patient to go into a doctors office. .... currently it’s $75 and I don’t have to drive and go into a doctors office. I’ll do that anytime. That’s what I’ve done for 5 years and will continue to do unless it’s something Dr on Demand doesn’t or can’t handle, this is always my go to for medical care. Whoever thought of this, BRILLIANT! and THANK YOU! 🙌🏼

Great when it works. So here’s the deal... when things are working well, this is an excellent tool. But if anything goes awry... scheduling or billing for example, then you sometimes end up getting the run around. I had a scheduling issue twice and it was fixed once and the other time it was due to the doctor taking a vacation during the week she wanted me to reschedule. But... I was unable to get that information from anyone until my next appointment so I almost ran out of medication. It is NOT easy to reach your doctor outside of your appointment time. My biggest issue has been with billing. All of a sudden I am being charged $99 when it used to be $30 and I have communicated multiple times and in multiple ways and have been completely blown off. They say my issue had been escalated but then nothing happens and no one can give me any new information. This is over the course of many weeks so I have been quite patient. If they do not reimburse me the balance then my rating for this app is going to unfortunately go down. But as of right now I am giving them 4 stars because when it works smoothly it is terrific. Thx.

Ripped Off. I don’t normally write reviews however bc I just used this app I didn’t want this to happen to someone else..This app started off charging $40 then moved up to $50 then jumped up to $75 which is a little steep..Despite that I paid it bc I don’t have a primary care doctor or insurance.. I scheduled my appointment & waited on my doctor..I have asthma & needed a refill on my albuterol for my nebulizer..I have used this service before to get refills on it & they normally write the prescription for a 90 day supply which only last me around 45 days but then they give me 2 additional refills..But not this time..This doctor literally talked to me for 5 minutes in which he lectured me for 3 of the 5 minutes on not having a primary care doctor..He wrote me a prescription for albuterol but only a 30 day supply that will only last me 15 days and zero refills..So in all I paid $75 for 5 minutes of his time & a $3 persription with no refills & lectured for not having a primary physician..I tried to call the customer service & explain what happened & the girl seemed apologetic but offered NO solutions to help out..Needless to say I will NEVER use this service again nor will I recommend it to anyone..It seems as if all they care about is getting your money & don’t care if you get what you need..

So easy and affordable. Not only is this one of a few apps that accepts my insurance, the overall price is fairly affordable even without insurance. I have utilized more than one doctor on this platform now, I reserved my review until after I had a few interactions to compare. I’m glad to saythat everything related to app and the providers network has really been quick, easy, an admit an at of true caring. Utilizing the providers on this network has actually felt better than going in to be seen by an urgent care or overworked, understaffed, and underpaid medical practice. the care I received was honest, accurate, and came with advice for a referral when they believed I needed to be seen in person. Additionally, when the roz for specialty care, it was suggested, and there was no ridiculous back-and-forth when further care was needed. I felt important within the context of the clinical relationship. I am a provider myself, and I know that the clinical relationship is so important when it comes to building trust and healing. I can say that I found this utilizing an app.

Terrible Experience. After using Doctor on Demand numerous times successfully, it’s disheartening to now have such a terrible experience. My child was seen for a video appointment 1 wk ago, and all went well. It was a blessing to get medical care on a Sunday afternoon, particularly when I was leaving town for work that evening. Directly after the appointment, the physician called me back, and left a VM message asking I get back with her regarding my daughter’s weight, a piece of information necessary for prescribing her antibiotic. I returned the call immediately, and exactly to the doctor’s specifications, spoke with the support center, and went to pick up all Rx’s 2 hours later. The pharmacy had not received an order for the antibiotic, however, as I have spent the past 6 days begging Doctor on Demand to rectify. They have refused, and stated my daughter needs another appointment. Being out of town, I am unable to make this happen, whether or not they charge me. Now my precious girl is with her grandparents still ill, and denied the medication a Doctor on Demand physician deemed a necessary treatment. Why would they continue to deny this? Although I am WAY more concerned with my daughter’s health than costs, the company has also denied my request to be reimbursed.

Convenient & quality care. I started using Dr on Demand because my insurance sent me an email that they covered it and I liked the idea of being able to meet with doctors from my living room. I’m currently working with a psychologist and a psychiatrist and the quality of care is just as good as being in an office except I don’t have to wear pants lol the best part is they are ON TIME. I’ve never had to wait beyond our appointment time to start a session. I did have a connectivity issue once but the customer service team had great service and refunded my copay and didn’t charge my insurance for the visit. I like that I can read a bio about my doctors before I choose to work with them. Some are available the same day and others don’t have appointments available for a few weeks, but I find scheduling options open up a lot more after your initial visit, at least for therapy. Haven’t needed to use it for a medical visit yet but I would totally use this app if I needed an antibiotic or something like that vs having to go into my normal primary care office and waiting an hour or more. The only downfall to this app is that you cannot get in touch with doctors between appointments. I can imagine why that is, but it would be so awesome if it had a messaging or voicemail service, even if they charged per message or had limitations on how often/what you could use it for.

Paid over $50 for disappointment. Unfortunately this app was not the wonderful experience others have had. I am a big fan of apps and technology so I loved the idea of seeing a doctor this way. I was so frustrated with the result. I got my doctor appointment right away which was great Doctor was nice and listened well but could not find the very common medicine I needed in her system. Then the call lost all audio ... we had to lip read and write stuff on paper to finish call. She promised she’d get my prescription ordered correctly. I didn’t get it filled right away cause I didn’t need it. When I went to pharmacy prescription wasn’t there. No script ordered from any new doctor. When I wrote customer service and asked for help they simply sent an auto response that said 30 days had passed since my appoinment and there was nothing they could offer me. I feel cheated because I had bad in app experience and paid to see a doctor that wasn’t able to keep her promise to get me the medicine I needed ... in light of all this I was shocked customer service turned their back on me only after 30 days? Not ok. Terrible terrible terrible :( don’t risk loosing 50-75 dollars to ppl who don’t even try to make right their shortcomings.

Was my go-to app. This app saved me countless times before. From getting medicine for infections to getting care when I first got Covid. The doctors I encountered were great. This time though, the quality seems to have gone down. I scheduled an appointment with a doctor, set my alarm to connect 5 minutes before the scheduled time. I couldn’t open the app. Restarted my phone and they considered I missed my appointment. I tried 2 more times to see a doctor with no success and they charged me for the first appointment. Spoke to someone from customer service and said they would do a one time refund. I understand it’s cold/flu/covid season and they must be swamped but there must be some sort of solution to this. It’s not fair people are being charged for “missed appointments”, when there’s a problem with the app itself with connection issues and problems starting up the app. Several people have made this similar complaint in previous reviews. Hoping next time I need to use this app I won’t come across this kind of mess again because I really liked this app. Recommended it to a lot of people.

Customer Service. I had a great experience with this app at first. However, my last visit, the dr stated that she was giving me a dr slip for work. After a couple of hours, I did not receive the slip, so I sent a message through the app. The automated response stated it would be reviewed within a “few hours”. After 7 hours, I called into the customer service line, the lady that answered the call stated there was nothing in the file about an excuse note for work. She told me in the future, that I needed to request the note while on the phone. However, it was by the request of the Dr that I not go to work due to my symptoms. The rep was very rude and blamed the fact that i didn’t have a note on me, and told me that it would have been instant for the note to show up. It was at least an hour after my discussion with the dr that my file was updated and medicine was sent to the pharmacy. I messaged customer service and called back several times. I have yet to receive this excuse. Even if I had, it is way passed the allotted time permitted by my employer to turn one in. I have received the run around by every rep that keeps stating 24-48 hours I would have one. It’s been 4 days.

Bad time to be sick!. I’ve used the service a few times successfully. This time when I tried to schedule an appointment it started my count down timer off at 50 minutes. I figured there was a high demand so instead of going in to the Med Clinic I could just wait. The 50 minute counted down to less than 5. I patiently waited and as I watched it reset to over an hour. It did this the next three times for an hour each time! I set it up for texts so it would warn me when I was next. Got my text. Hopped back on and watched it reset again! Tried to sleep and had a rough night. Next day I’m driving almost 24 hours and my phone alerts me that I had a Dr Ready. I’m using a hands free kit and my phone is mounted to my dash. I answer my phone and I see a Dr on the other side. He said “I cant talk to you while your driving” And then hung up! I had already began to pull over to the shoulder. Had been trying to tell him I was pulling over when he cut off the connection. I tried to get back in contact but there was no record of a visit and it prompted me to start all over! Was a big waste of time. I hope they get all of the bugs and glitches fixed!

Seems great until you need something. I HIGHLY discourage anyone from using DOD for healthcare. It seems convenient, and it is, but this is a business and you will be treated like a customer and not a patient. You can’t reach your doctor, you can only talk to customer service who don’t note things properly so no one ever knows what the situation is. They take days/weeks to respond to you about anything, including issues with medication refills. They will cancel your appoint without notice and without apology but will charge you $140 if you cancel/reschedule for whatever reason. I was charged $140 instantly because my insurance changed because my company was bought out and they wouldn’t let me reschedule when I could afford the full fee and charged me full price and wiped my bank account leaving me without the ability to buy essentials. In addition, I still didn’t get to have the appointment and they won’t fill my medication without it. They are awful and it is clear what they value in this business. I think it’s probably a good back up thing to have in case you have a sick kid late one night, but DO NOT use this company for ongoing care/regular appointments. It really is shameful.

Great Service from Provider, App Tricky. Once I got through to customer support, I was able to schedule an appointment and see a provider in just a few minutes. The provider was great and was able to send my prescription to my pharmacy instantly. However, I was on hold with customer support for 20 minutes before I figured out how to add my pharmacy to the visit. You cannot even schedule a visit without adding a pharmacy and the search option to look up a pharmacy was not allowing me to select any of the pharmacies that populated. The only way for me to select a pharmacy was to use the map view, which is more difficult because you have to zoom in and pan around a lot. The customer support agent advised me to connect to wifi and/or use the web browser instead of using the app on my phone for a smoother experience. I was trying to use the app on my phone during my break at work, so that would not have been possible. Overall, I would definitely use the app again because the provider service was good, but I am only giving it 3 stars because of the long wait with customer support and because finding the pharmacy on the map for the first time was difficult.

Excellent Resource!. As someone who works in healthcare (and thus understands the difficulties with navigating health insurance from both sides, I found this app to be brilliantly affective! The cost was very reasonable and within 15 minutes I had a prescription for my symptoms and explanations as to the doctor’s choice of treatment. Dr. Henderson was thoughtful in her approach and able to explain why one treatment was better than others. She was very knowledgeable, and provided me with two explanations for my symptoms I had not considered. (I had a persistent cough and low grade fever. Although I was going between seasonal allergies and a cold, she acknowledged those possibilities and also explained that I could be having spasms or the effect of a specific bacteria that results in the type of cough I demonstrated). Her treatment options would allow for treatment of all possibilities, while at the same time, she did not “over prescribe” (Ie, explained why she felt the prescription of steroids in this case was unnecessary, and potentially harmful). Will definitely use the app again and looking forward to future visits with Dr. Henderson (well, except for the whole “getting sick” thing). It truly is like having a doctor in your pocket!

Very disappointed!. I’ve been using doctor on demand for my teenagers. My insurance covers it and I was very excited about the convenience and that the kids could see bios and pick their own providers!!…. Sounded great! Except you CANNOT reach the providers in between appointments and out-of-the-blue after 4 months of consecutive weekly appointments with the same provider my credit card was billed $179 with no notice! When I called they said my insurance became “unattached” … long story short, after talking to my insurance company THEY had not sent in the providers credentials my insurance asked for therefore my insurance couldn’t send payment so Doctor on Demand didn’t feel the need to tell me there was an insurance error and just helped themselves to charging my card! Then told me either my kids appointments had to be canceled or it would continue being charged for THEIR error! I cannot believe their lack or customer service when they’re supposed to be a mental health company. Also, my daughter had an “emergency” situation. she needed to speak to her provider and we were told they could “take a message” but you can only do one message at a time and until they “close” it on their end you’re unable to message again and have to call. They still do not get the provider to call you. I was astonished at the lack of care! I’ve NEVER had that with mental health previously. Very very disappointing

They don’t care. I am compelled to write this review in the app so you understand how upset I am with the app and certain people who work for Doctor on Demand. I had a doctor Ebony Davis prescribe me medication and leave me without the supervision of a medical doctor. Told me to withdraw from medication she prescribed. Apparently after I spoke to her in a rushed session she quit right afterwards. I tried to explain to her that I was not doing well with the meds she prescribed. She did not care. Each visit was rushed. I called to address my concerns they did not care. They provided me with a coupon for a new doctor. The doctor was great but the app was not working. So the doctor called me on my cell because she was worried about me since the connection was so bad. The prices have been adjusted at a higher rate as if I chose to change the doctor on my own. I was abandoned by Ebony Davis. Not like I chose to change the doctor. I had no other choice. Some random lady named Gina kept rambling on and on that because I got yet another prescription that the visit was a successful one. No it was not because the doctor stated people have been having issues with the app. I am considering hiring an attorney and reporting them to a medical review board.

Very convenient except if you need office type support. I felt horrible one evening and tested myself for Covid and was positive. Within 15 minutes, on a Monday, close to midnight, I was seeing a nurse practitioner and getting a prescription for paxlovid. And it is a no cost (to me) visit thru my insurance. However, I told the NP I do a hybrid schedule and could I have a note to excuse me from in office work due to the quarantine requirement. She wrote unable to work, period. My employer took this literally and didn’t allow me to work at all. I sent a message thru the portal in my visit notes and heard nothing for an entire work day. So I called and spoke with someone who told me 0 action was taken on that note. She sent a message to the NP, but here I am 2.5 days later still waiting for a reply. So A++++ on visit wait time, getting an Rx, getting a work release, but F so far on any kind of service after the visit. I gave them 4 stars because this is a kind of a unique situation with needing the work release adjustment.

Amazing as Always!!. Dr. Rachel Kennedy is AMAZING!! She listens to what you have to say and she incorporates your feelings and suggestions into your plan of care (as long as they are appropriate to the situation). Dr. Kennedy is very respectful of your feelings and she goes above and beyond to come up with the best treatment plan for your individual situation. My son is special needs and she is absolutely excellent with him and he loves her. Dr. Kennedy is a top notch physician and being a nurse myself for many years, there are not many physicians out there like her. Dr. Kennedy has ALL the qualities a great physician should have! Dr. Kennedy, thank you for being so wonderful to us! Thank you Doctors on Demand for providing this type of service. We live in a rural area and it is a drive for us to go to see a provider. This has taken a lot of the pressure off of us having to get ready, drive to the doctor’s office to be seen and having long wait times to be taken back to actually see the doctor, going to the pharmacy and so on. By the time we get home it turns out being an all day process. Having visits via telemedicine has eliminated almost all of that process and it still leaves us with the rest of the day to do the other things we are obligated to do! Again, thank you Dr. on Demand & Dr. Rachel Kennedy!!

Mostly pros. Minor cons…. This app is great if you can’t find someone in network near you with your insurance, or you don’t have insurance. You don’t have to go anywhere or wait forever for an appointment! You can be seen in under 5 minutes depending on the doctor and what time you need help. You can also see lots of different types of doctors. With that being said, my only cons to this app would be that if you want mental health from a psychiatrist, YOU CANNOT GET CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES FROM THESE DOCTORS!! So if you are on anti anxieties or something for ADHD, for example, they won’t be able to write you an RX. However, any other medication they can and will prescribe. My other only con would be the site/app itself, charging you for your appointment up front. Then if your insurance covers telehealth visits, you either have to wait to be reimbursed or figure out how to you’re getting your money back….it’s just a hassle to have to pay up front every time and then wait a month or longer to see what your insurance is going to do….Otherwise, this is way better than sitting in an office waiting area for however long, or having to take off work during normal 9-5ish hours, since a lot of these tele docs have later hours! This is NOT an ER, or anywhere for emergency care!!! Please don’t think it is!!! If you need stitches, you will need to see someone in person, and ASAP before you bleed out!!! Lol

Hard to get help. Update: 7 months later, My 3rd and last visit. Tired of giving this company try after try. Months later today I tried to get insulin but she would not for the life of me prescribed me any insulin, she kept giving me the run around to not get on it and your site kept giving me Dr.‘s out of my state so they couldn’t help me and I kept having to reconnect. When it comes to a refill on medications I wish you would let us know what’s required before hand in order to request a refill because I kept having to get up and look for proof that I take the medicine. She couldn’t see the bottle sticker so I had to scramble through papers to find the prescription and she wouldn’t give me my insulin because I didn’t “have proof” because she couldn’t see the writing on the sticker. Also when I was sick with a sinus infection they prescribed me only steroid pills that didn’t work, I needed Antibiotics or at least both type of medications to help clear up the infection. The connection on the app is awful. I had to use my laptop to do the video call instead. And at times their connections were so bad they had to call my phone number to talk to me instead of a video call.

Tech Support isn’t tech support and updates wipe history from use app. My company decided to move to Doctor on Demand for virtual health visits if I want them covered by my insurance. I have had one appointment thus far. Scheduling it 3 weeks was a nightmare as I kept getting a strange “out of range” error. The doctor search for appointments was not intuitive. I had to try several input combinations to finally get what I in needed and I had to call in for support. (You should know when you call for tech support and select that option, you are connected with a concierge who speaks to support on your behalf.) I was told that Doctor on Demand was about to go through a system upgrade and the user experice should be much better. I had my appointment and scheduled a follow up with that same provider. The system migration occurred. Not only was appointment history and prescription history was erased, I can’t access my follow up appointment. The concierge working with tech support said they can’t schedule me with the provider I have because they can’t find her in the system due to the upgrade. Thy can’t send me a link to join my appointment. I am very frustrated. So far this has been a lemon of a system and Im going to schedule an urgent care appointment in person.

Great Visits, Poor Customer Service. The app works great if you don’t need customer service! I’ve been using this app for nearly a year for telehealth visits. I have had very good care from the providers on the app and have only the best things to say about them. The app itself, though, has several issues. First, I’ve had providers cancel on me as no-shows multiple times. The last time, the provider was marked as “offline”—presumably no longer providing care through the app, but my appointment was still set up. This makes me wonder if providers are capable of canceling appointments through the app, and if not, this is a serious bug. More frustrating is the lack of support through the app and through customer service. I received a notice in March through my health insurance that a December telehealth visit had not been covered. I immediately wrote to customer service through the app portal’s messaging service asking for a detailed bill so I could prepare to pay. No response, even after a follow up a week later. Two weeks after my initial message, I received a bill via email from the service with only 5 days to pay. My receipt online still says the visit was free. I still have two outstanding visits and would to schedule more but I am waiting to hear from customer service before I do.

Major Issue That Needs to be Fixed. I have been suffering from extreme highs and lows, a mood disorder, possibly even bipolar. After speaking with my local therapist over the phone, he said I would need mood stabilizers, at least. I have a family (four children) that I need to support. I work all day, everyday, and I’m unable to take off work to go to a psychiatrist in person. I thought Doctor on Demand would be the perfect solution. I created an account, entered in my medical history, including my current medications (only taking 1 medication daily-Suboxone for 6 years). The app then took me to a place to set up a $300 psychiatrist visit. I set an appointment. Appointment time comes, and the psychiatrist tells me that I need to go in person to receive medication, because he cannot prescribe medication for me since I take Suboxone. I included my current medication BEFORE the appointment was set. There was no warning given that this medication would interfere with psychiatrists being able to give medication. They took my $300 and then told me I need to go somewhere else. Now I don’t have $300 to go to another Psychiatrist, and I still have the dilemma of finding a psychiatrist outside of work hours. This is not right.

Convenient and Efficient!. This app has changed my mental health experiences for the better! Between struggling being able to physically make it to appointments and struggling being consistent, the Dr on Demand app helped for a few reasons. With my current health insurance, I’m actually SAVING money because I don’t have a copay to use this app where as seeing my psychologist and psychiatrist in person was $20/visit. Amazing! Also, I can see them with my own technology I love dearly, in the comfort of my own home, and being able to read bios of doctors and booking with ones that seem like the best fit for me. One time I had a poor WiFi connection and my appointment wasn’t very successful - the Dr on Demand customer service was receptive, easy to get in touch with, and empathetic and patient. I can not recommend this app and service enough to friends, family, and the strangers of the apple App Store. This is probably my second review for an app ever - I just think it’s really important to be able to see how great this app is. I also really loved when I signed up for an account this service was able to immediately tell me copays I expected for each corresponding service it offers based on my insurance before I even booked with someone. Please give this a go!

Bad CS and slightly scammy. The only reason someone is using this type of service is if they’re sick and need prescription meds. While I had a pleasant and fast $79 7-minute conversation with a doc, they never sent the rx! I am very sick and don’t want to wait until tomorrow or the next day. I called, was told there was a 4 hour waiting period before they could resubmit. I called back 4 hours later, was told they would submit a ticket. How long will that take? Not sure, depends how many people ahead of you. The best way, I was told, to get it fixed quickly is to just meet with the practitioner again. Okay sounds good. Oh but you have to pay another $79. Meanwhile the day is not getting any longer and it’s the weekend when pharmacies close early. You know what I did? I went to urgent care which I should’ve done in the first place. You ever see those memes “you had one job”? They CLEARLY could not get that job done. I guess if the only thing you want is to talk to a doctor but not get any medication, then it’s probably fine. They can bill my credit card $79 in seconds but can’t submit a prescription in a day? Nonsense. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Update: they finally resolved my ticket and sent the Rx on MONDAY - two days later. AWFUL customer service.

This app has changed my life!. Two years ago, I was depressed and started to shut down physically and mentally. I found out about this app and downloaded it. I was able to find a great psychiatrist! She helped me by talking through my problems and she was able to write a prescription to keep my anxiety and depression controlled. After about nine months, I was able to stop the medication and stop seeing her completely. I transferred over to a LCSW and we talk about once a month. Even though I’m married and have a family, he gives me someone outside of my circle to talk to. Stuff like worries and concerns that I don’t always want to talk to my wife about. My life has done a complete 180 in two years! I now have a healthy relationship with everyone in my family and with people from work. I couldn’t have done this without the app! The ease of sitting somewhere I feel comfortable and talking to someone is alot easier than having to drive somewhere and be in a strange environment. Thank you Doctor on Demand for making things so easy and changing my life!

The doctor and staff are not on the same page. I don’t like to say bad things about companies but my experience since 2019 has been far different than what it was when I first used the app. The representatives just regurgitate their memorized lines and don’t work to resolve issues. I saw a Dr on July 18 who told me to test for Covid after the visit. If the test was positive she told me just simply call back and we will change your letter for work and discuss any changes to meds. I guess the doctor thought that was something she could say because I called a couple hours later when I found out I was Covid positive and the representative took notes and submitted to a documentation team. It’s now Tuesday 19 and I didn’t hear back from anyone. I called and the representative stressed me out saying you have to pay for another visit if you need the doctor and basically read me her entire protocol. This app has great doctors but terrible service team. I would go with this app unless no other option was available. I had to see another dr in another app who was more flexible and had a team that backed them up to provide me good care at home. Having Covid limited me from showing up anywhere and I really thought Dr+ was going to help me. They really let me down and took 75 dollars without asking for insurance. Bummer I used to rave about them.

Thought it would be convenient..... I’ve had this app for over a year but my past two visits have been awful due to technical error. I had scheduled one appointment about a week before and when the time came I was logged into the app waiting for 30 minutes and the visit was canceled. Took about a week for my copay to be voided back onto my car. I was waiting to go over a refill for Zoloft and which I had just enough to last me to that appointment. Since it didn’t happen, no medicine. Took support 5 days or so to get back to me when there instant message says “ a few hours “. Still no Zoloft to this day. Second, I had gotten at UTI in which happened regular for me since my immune system is compromised. Had visit it went through till the end, waiting for 24 hours for prescription to show up, nothing. Nothing on app, nothing at pharmacy. Messaged support, no answer for two days, called and they say it wasn’t sent due to technically error. I’m in pain more and more each day this hasn’t been resolved and I can’t afford/ have time with work to get prescription. Frustrated beyond belief and don’t think I’ll be relying on this app anymore. Also it’s been about 2 weeks since my meds haven’t been filled . Disappointed.

Horrible Customer Service. I called Dr On Demand yesterday because I’ve been sick for 8 days. The dr I spoke to was sending my pharmacy 3 prescriptions to get me feeling better. My pharmacy did not receive them because at that time their system was down to no fault of their own. Since I couldn’t get the doctor back I called Customer Service for help. They saw in my chart what I should get and assured me they would resend the script. Two hours later still no meds so I called AGAIN. This time someone said they are waiting to talk to the doctor to confirm the meds. WHY?? Just call the pharmacy to confirm they didn’t get it and fill it! The doctor already confirmed it just hours before! I was so upset I wasn’t getting help. By 5pm I still hadn’t gotten anything and was worried I’d be up all night coughing again. So I had to drive 40 mins to my own doctor just to get the help I needed. I could have done that during the day! Dr On Demand is supposed to help so you don’t have to leave your home! Finally I got my needed meds from my own doctor who sent them to the pharmacy just in time before closing. Today, 24 HOURS later Dr On Demand sends me an email that they resent the prescriptions. Really???? Thanks for nothing!! 😡 Never again will I use this service. They are NO help!

Highly Unprofessional. I initially would have had great reviews of this organization but unfortunately both interactions with mental health professionals for my kids (treatment of generalized anxiety disorder) ended terribly. Initially this seemed like a great alternative to driving 40 minutes and pulling them out of school for appointments! After several positive sessions with one psychiatrist on staff who was treating my youngest, she simply stopped showing up to appointments. After two missed appointments and no explanation from the support team we stopped rescheduling. My oldest daughter was seeing another psychiatrist for several months and things were going well. I got the usual message to remind me to schedule the next appointment and the app said “at this time the doctor has no openings on her schedule”. So I contacted the support team. After several interactions they could not figure out the reason for the scheduling problem. Only to contact the doctor, and reply to me today that she will no longer be seeing adolescents. So now, with no one to maintain her prescription, I’m left again, to find a new doctor. Zero notice!!! Incredibly frustrating. And irresponsible when antidepressants are involved.

This service is a joke!. I waited over twenty minutes for the provider to join the call for my appt time, and then I was informed the call had ended before I even had an opportunity to speak to the provider. There was no option to reconnect, and no one called me. The next appt wasn't for another 6 hours and was after my pharmacy had closed for the day. I tried to contact customer service, but no one responded in the chat and the representatives on the phone told me their records showed that I never showed for the appt and they couldn't help me. I wasted over an hour waiting for someone to assist me in connecting with a provider, but I ended up having to visit a physical urgent care instead and pay $75 when this option was supposed to be free. I won't be using Doctor On Demand again despite it being an "employee benefit". If I didn't show for my appt, how would I know that at the bottom of the waiting room screen were various messages instructing me what not to do on this call like not to try to take the call while driving and to pull over instead and to silence my notifications while on the call so that I wouldn't be distracted?

Update erased my appointments. I have been using them for therapy since June. It was okay at first but scheduling was a nightmare. It’s very hard to rebook with a provider, actually there’s no option. You had to book every appointment like it’s the first time as well as do it weeks in advance to make sure you get your same person and have continuity. They just updated their entire system and changed the app, I checked yesterday because I always get a text and email 48 hours before my appointments as a reminder and realized I had not received that text the day before, the app had logged me out and asked for me to change my password, once I did that I was back in and saw everything was different. But also, ALL of my upcoming therapy appointments were gone and there was no answer as to if I still had them or not. I tried to check my therapists availability and it said she had none. I had appointments booked weekly until the end of the year and it’s something I need. I booked them weeks in advance to make sure I had this taken care of. My next appointment was booked for 4 hours from now and it’s still not in the app. I’m beyond frustrated with this app and I would not recommend for anyone in need of care and therapy if you need consistency and support.

First time. I was feeling pretty bad today. The kind of bad where I didn’t feel like getting dressed & driving to Urgent Care! This was my 1st time using the app & I was a little nervous! I was worried that seeing a Dr online vs one in my area, wouldn’t know what was going around. But, I also think that can be misleading at times. My online Dr was precise & asked questions & got a history (probably better than the Urgent Care Dr) & she was very cordial... everything you want a Dr to be. The visit was still personable & her care & concern was refreshing! I was worried that she didn’t prescribe an antibiotic for my reoccurring sinus infection b/c 2mos ago my face swelled up! But, she was right to not prescribe them until it does & we’re gonna try to keep that from happening. However, if it does, I can just call back! In the meantime, the cough meds and inhaler, as well as OTC musinex will get me through! I really like having this option for emergencies, like this, when you just feel too bad to get out in the 25 degree weather!

Misleading and Poor Business Ethics. DOD app and website are not reliable. One time I had been waiting for two weeks and the provider disconnected because their DOD wasn't stable. I have Google Fiber, so the poor connection was not on my end. I had to wait another two weeks before I could get in again. How is that remotely fair? Wait a month for a telehealth appointment? Ridiculous. I used DOD 8 times. Every appointment was fully covered by my insurance without copay and stated as such on DOD's website. However, four months down the road from my last visit, I received a bill for over $100 (even though at the time of booking, it states $0.00 in bold). I was told by a rep that that's an estimated price. The amount of "$0.00" in bold, in my opinion, is misleading and is solely there to incite patients to schedule an appointment. They have zero remorse and put the onus back on me to work it out with my insurance, albeit they're the ones advertising ZERO COST. Do yourself a favor, skip this company. Go with a company that is more reputable/trustworthy/ethical. Check out their BBB and TrustPilot reviews if you don't believe me. Yikes. I should have done the same before ever getting involed.

I’m a RN & a Patient. With my health insurance, when I need/want to utilize the ease of obtaining thorough care for common conditions, I have the option to see DrOnDemand or two other major competitors who provide Telehealth services. The other two are okay…, but DrOnD is GREAT! Each and Everytime- I’ve had nothing but excellent experiences. The providers are nice, efficient, receptive and supportive in the care they provide. Now… for the other half of the experience is by use of the app itself. The app has a very friendly interface, ease of registration and sign in, the assessment tool uses simple language and yet is well encompassing in the choice boxes it provides. I love how you can get care now and/or “book a visit” so that you can select to follow up with a specific provider that you may have favored in the past etc. The video and audio are consistently clear and it’s easy to follow along with the dr in active conversation. I am a RN and I am a patient who chooses Dr On Demand every time - and for good reason.

Skip it. My military doctor told me about this app, and I have now used it twice. Both times I’ve had VERY interesting experiences. It seems that they only employ doctors, and NP’s who hate their jobs and are cranky. Both times I have been rudely spoken to, and lectured over the video chat. They seem to hate prescribing things even if it’s a reoccurring thing you’ve had in the past, and they hate when you know more than them about your own body. The first doctor I ever got on the app was a male, and I didn’t mind even though it was for a UTI. My doctor in real life is a male as well. But he started asking about my medical history, and it got brought up that I had a hysterectomy. We then spent the next 5 minutes awkwardly talking about my hysterectomy, and why I personally wanted one. Which frankly, was none of his business and unrelated to the UTI. Well I ended up going to my military doctor after that and the antibiotics the doctor gave me from this app are garbage and are not nearly strong enough to fight off what I had going on with my UTI. Yesterday I called about a ear issue, that I had already gone to the doctor for and I needed stronger medication, she lectured me as well, and seemed to hate her job. I got lectured and berated over an ear issue I’ve had since I was 1 month old. And she didn’t seem to like that I knew more than her.

Used to be great. Used to be great !!! They are now just like all the money hungry places that is happening lately around world u sneeze n u have covid take off work or school for two weeks for what a cold ? Not everything is covid or maybe they want it to be ? Head was hurting three days n a cold called dr on demand they told me u most likely have covid if not better few days goto dr ,, ok even if I did have covid wouldn’t you start me on a antibiotic ? Nope he said get some rest humidifier n I’ll send in a antihistamine?? Seriously So next day goes to doc you have a sinuous infection no need for a pcr test sense they been recalled n not right anyway he’s a antibiotic thank god there are still some caring docs left in this world ,, guess what here I’m not 12 hours later already feeling great the next day I woke up like a new person back to myself incredible now there respond to my post will be we state they we are only virtual we take covid very seriously blah blah blah ,,, ok take it seriously then n start me on a antibiotic n liquid steroids maybe something ,,,, not just put me on a allergy blocking medicine , so listen up if you have a cold an ear ache they will most likely tell u you have covid n send you nothing anyway so save your money goto doc or there are plenty other online doc now a days that are great if you don’t want to go into the germy waiting rooms n perhaps get covid for real ,, I wouldn’t waste your money here! Goodluck

No longer able to access. I’m not sure who at Dr on Demand thought it was a good idea to exclude all iOSs before 16 with NO NOTICE, but now my iPhone, which is still fully functioning, will not connect to Dr on Demand because I have an older iPhone that will not update to iOS 16. I am a 62 year old woman in Tennessee working retail for retail entry wages in a poor state economy. I don’t make enough money to go out and buy the newest, latest, greatest things on the market. If I have something and it’s working, I see no need to replace it and in this country’s economy I don’t have the FUNDS to replace it! Dr on Demand is part of my insurance benefits through my workplace. Why are they forcing me to have to buy new equipment for this benefit when it worked perfectly fine a week ago?!?!?!?!?!? I am very disheartened and very disappointed that Dr on Demand did this without warning and not consider those of us who can not afford to run out and buy a new cell phone every year just to keep up with all the updates!! Please consider opening this back up so those of us who can’t afford a new phone at this time can still participate in the insurance benefits we are paying for through our workplace!

Rough Start, But Better. I now have a psychiatrist and a therapist. Getting a therapist on the app was not easy, but I have one now and I am pleased. I don’t like the overcharging for a psychiatrist visit. My psychiatrist could not do an intake in the 45 minute initial appointment and all follow on appointments were 15 minutes and she needed 2 more 15 minute appointments to finish my intake and that cost me my $33 co- pay for all of those. A second 30 or 45 minute appointment should have been used. Not cool. The app works well. Actually it works better than platforms used by some of my other doctors through different health systems including Stanford which I would have expected to have a wonderful and stable app, but this is far better and easier to use. I gave this app 5 stars, but I would have given it 4.25 stars if given the option due the issues I described above. I had 5 or 6 therapists cancel appointments with me at the last minute without getting a phone call. Not cool. I had blocked time in my day for the appointments and in one case it forced me to cancel a home physical therapy appointment that was to take place right before that because she was running late and would have run into my therapy appointment. As fast as I cancelled the home appointment, I got a message that the Drs. On Demand therapist cancelled - 30 minutes before the appointment. That was simply not professional. Also - I messaged support about this and never got a response.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!. Dr on Demand is exactly what I always needed. I unfortunately suffer from chronic mental health conditions that cause me to often neglect my physical health and I nearly always leave a lot of medical needs untreated bc often depression and fear of leaving my home. Although I do have a provider outside of Dr. On Demand I am extremely grateful to this app for its convenience and the opportunities it provides for me with its many options listed for patients who are currently experiencing an issue. It’s quick, simple with being able to fill out your history and local pharmacy so they have some information on any previous medications, surgeries, allergies, and etc. Its basically like having your own personal file on record! Then with a timely manner you can chose to see the first available doc, or even schedule something and this is all from the comfort of your own home. No waiting room germs, no personal contact with anyone you wouldn’t want to be around. Just you and your chosen provider. Best app yet! Thank you Dr on demand for saving me many unnecessary trips to the emergency room, to an urgent cares… as well as taking care of my medical needs when I would for certain left them untreated if it wasn’t for you! - E. Mariano

Amazingly Convenient for Certain Cases. I tried this after my wife recently used the service to quickly grab a prescription for her case of pinkeye. For me, I was motivated in the middle of the night by a sinus infection that went from annoying a day or two earlier to painful and sleep-depriving that night. Both of those conditions are perfect for this kind of service; for me, I’ve had sinus infections in the past and there was no doubt in my mind that I had another one. But obviously, I cannot prescribe myself the medicine to wipe it out. For my wife’s case, pinkeye is pretty obvious visually and she could explain that she had a recent exposure to it. Urgent care or doctor office visits can take care of these problems, but contain unnecessary costs and step; telemedicine is much more time-efficient and just as effective for getting the diagnosis done and getting on the road to recovery. Without this service I probably would have had to miss some work just to get diagnosed. With the service, I just stop by the pharmacy in the morning on the way to work and grab the antibiotic.

Saves my sanity. Honestly if it wasn’t for this app I would put my mental health on the back burner. Ima busy mom of three and constantly at the doctor for my kids, so I avoid unnecessary appointments whenever possible. It is the same cost or cheaper than going in person to get help for my depression, and there are no excuses with such an open on-the-go option. My only hope is that they get more specialist for Adolescent Mental Health. I have a child with ADHD and sensory issues. We’ve been trying for months to get into a child therapist and many are not taking new patients and it’s really hard on a child’s school schedule to constantly take them out for appointments. I recommend Dr OnDemand to find this niche need because honestly it would have such an impact on childhood mental health options. Kids need more and scheduling 6 months out for ages 8 and younger is devastating when you need help now. Just a suggestion. With all the new apps and options for mental health, I as a parent would be willing to pay upwards of $200+ monthly to have my child get help remotely, consistently and in hopes at times that don’t interfere with her school day. Thanks!

Saw me through a tough day :). Recently a stomach bug laid me low. The idea of getting dressed and driving to a walk in clinic or my doctor’s office was terribly daunting. I remembered that my insurance (United Healthcare) allowed virtual visits and Doctor on Demand was an app they recommended. It took me maybe 10 minutes to set up my account and enter my health information and within 3 minutes of submitting my request to see a doctor I was speaking with Dr. Oh. Dr. Oh was friendly, professional, and very patient. She walked me through palpating my stomach and took interest in all my concerns. The entire visit took less than 9 minutes. She sent a prescription to my local pharmacy and that was that! I avoided not only the pain and discomfort of driving myself to a doctors office when I was really unable to be away from the bathroom (yay TMI!) but also dodged the germs and ick that are rampant in the waiting room. I also didn’t share m germs with the general public, which I felt a tiny bit noble about 😊 Please try this service. I can’t say enough good things about it 😄👍😄👍

Broken connection to insurance (BCBS) and poor customer service. This app and company has had a weeks long (so far) outage with my mainstream insurance company, Blue Cross Blue Shield. I could not connect my insurance in the app on my own bc of a bug in their system that has been present for many weeks, and had to call customer service to have it done for me. While on this call I was told that my insurance rate would not show right away bc of a health care outage that would last up to 24 hours, and that the app would update automatically before my appointment time. It did not. I had my appointment a couple days later and had to overpay for it out of pocket. I then had to call back to ask for a refund, and the system is still down and cannot connect to BCBS. This is huge. DOD is putting all the responsibility on the user for all communication and are holding my out of pocket money bc they cannot get their system right for weeks. I now want my out of pocket money back and I cannot have it. I just talked to customer service again and was told it would be days before it’s fixed and I can have my money back. They opened a ticket for me finally, but I still have to call back if I don’t see the refund in a few days. This should not be the responsibility of the user, and should not have happened in the first place!

Dr. Alba is the absolute BEST. So I called my doctors office because I was in need of my prescription refilled and was told “you have to schedule an appointment for next week with the doctor before I can refill your prescription.” This was so depressing because I can’t afford to go to an urgent care just to get a refill on prescription. I called my insurance company found out that I can utilize doctors on demand. Highly skeptical, but I did it and with REGRETS of not doing it sooner than today. I ran across Dr. Alba which I knew absolutely NOTHING about. This doctor was so compassionate, knowledgeable, VERY good listener, kind, patient and she cared. It’s SO HARD to find good doctors like her. I was able to explain to her my symptoms in the privacy of my own home and get my prescription filled. It was such a BLESSING to have this service. I hope and pray that Dr. Alba can remain my primary care physician. If I had known that I would find a doctor that truly cared long time ago, I would have chosen doctors on demand. Thanks again for caring about my health Dr. Alba! You don’t know how this meant to me.. ❤️

Absolutely horrible.. It’s bad that my insurance pays for this, but I now refuse to use it anymore. I’ve been seeing a therapist on here for over a year now every week and never missed an appointment. Then life happened and I fell asleep right before my appointment. I woke up to find Doctor on Demand had charged me $99. I called customer service to see what I could get done about it. They outright refused to do anything about it even though they openly admitted to have done the same thing. They even laughed at me when I tried to reason with them. The only thing they cared about was that they got my money and they didn’t have to go through my insurance company to do it. This app is also horrible at best. I have the best internet available in my area and I still get “bad connection” messages all the time or even disconnected sometimes. Not to mention having to wait sometimes 30-45 minutes just to see a doctor. I’m uncertain where the positive reviews for this place came from but they are unfounded. This may have been the best thing going when it came out, but there is a lot of better telehealth services available now at a lower price point.

Nice doctors, terrible customer service. The doctors on this app have been knowledgeable, helpful and personable. The customer service on the app though is really terrible. I had an appointment with the doctor for an infection and they called in an RX order to my pharmacy. One hour later my pharmacy notified me the medication ordered was out of stock and that they reached out to the doctor for a different antibiotic. By the end of the day I still had not heard anything from my pharmacy. I followed up with customer support on the app - sent 3 emails and called the “24/7” phone support 3 times to try to get them to have the doctor I saw to call in a different RX. After 2 days of receiving no response and still having an infection, I had to pay again to see a doctor to get a proper RX. I have still received no response from customer service by the way about the pharmacy request for a different medication. If you’re looking for medical care here this is not the place to get it. They might be providing a service but they are not providing medical care when needed. If I went to an in-person who just didn’t respond to a simple pharmacy request like this, I would not return to their practice. Good idea, poor execution.

The next best thing after regretfully leaving Kaiser. Wow! This app and medium for getting in touch with a Doctor has totally changed my perspective of the hassle of dealing with PPO insurance. I’d had Kaiser for 25 years but after making the decision to stay home with my baby, I quit my job and had to get on my husband’s health insurance plan which doesn’t offer Kaiser. Now that I’ve had to find new Dr’s, pharmacy, labs, etc (all in different places, ugh!) for not just me, but my adult child and my infant child...switching has been a mess that I don’t have time or patience for. Now that I’ve found this app and tried out a same day appointment for pink eye, I’m feeling much better about having finally found a convenient way to get healthcare service. Being able to be seen same day, also alleviates the $125 urgent care visit cost when a primary can’t get you in the same day. So, this healthcare medium is all the things I miss of Kaiser: same day appointments, high quality care, convenient, customer service focused, and just EASY! I love it and will be referring everyone I know.

Great Service. Our family has used Dr. On Demand twice now and we’ve been very satisfied both times. They were able to help us when we were on vacation once and then another time at home from the comfort of the couch. Very friendly doctors and quick service for cheaper and faster than going to urgent care.

Amazing service especially for international travelers. Amazing service. Great doctors. Ideal for me as I'm traveling at the moment. Highly recommend.

Not for Australia. I attempted to create an account, entered all my details and it would not let me submit due to my phone number. Even using the correct area code. Please help

Excellent staff. Dr Flynn is so helpful! Smooth and easy. Well worth it! Thank you!!!

Why?. It is not available for Canadians users! Why is it in our app store?

Thanks 327 327 427!. 327 327 327 327 Thanks!

Amazing!. I had to use this app when I was travelling in the US and required a prescription. It was very easy to use and the doctor (Dr.Carpenter) was absolutely amazing! This app/service is incredible and easy to use.

Canadian services. For you Canadians there is a service just like this...it is called Medeo. The app is in the App store

Fantastic. What a great app idea. I have two children and when they get sick and I know they need some antibiotics but have to make an appointment or go to a walk in clinic it creates such a hassle especially with sick children that just want to sleep. If only this could we available in Canada.

Opinion. Your better off just calling your doctor ! At least it won't cost 40$ for a 15 minute conversation

Very Disappointed. It very frustrating that this is only for the USA. It feels like Jay & Phil do not value their Canadian followers. I guess they think that only Americans get colds & flues and deserve a Dr on Demand. If they only admit that Americans can get medical help 10X faster then Canadians!!!! If me or my child were sick, it would be 3 weeks to see our family Dr. Totally unacceptable!!! Might as well delete the app like all the other Canadians.

App review. Saw this on dr. Phil

Review from Peter Wright Dec.30/21. As a visiting Canadian, I needed medical advice/ medication. I am so delighted to have received excellent medical advice ( Tracy Brooks NP) and a prescription for needed medicine. Thank you !!

Great idea, too bad nobody was there. I have PTSD both as a retired veteran and emergency responder. I was having an episode and actually talked myself down from an anxiety attack which most likely would have had me ending up in Emerg. I needed someone to talk to, did a search for counselling services online, and found the app. Sent in my note after registering saying I really needed to talk to someone, that was over an hour ago. If I had been someone in a worse depressed state or not able to bring myself down, it very easily could have ended up a lot worse than me just bawling. In my opinion, this is a very dangerous app, if they cannot offer what they advertise. Ultimate FAIL

Fees. I'm surprised there's a fee. If I had the money to spare I would do it.

Bernie. Extremely easy / user friendly platform

Canadians are missing out..!. I’m so sad to learn us Canadians can’t use this service as we need it as well. But why is it available in our App Store if we can’t use it...? How disappointing. :-(

Behind the times. Behind the times had high hopes

Not available in Canada.... Too bad this service is not available if you don't have a US zip code. They are working on it and hope it will be soon!

Silly app. Once i turned my location services on it went from $0 for 15 min to $40 for 15 mins.. Also you need to attach a credit card.

NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA!. Why is this app even IN our App Store? No part of this service is available in Canada! Nowhere does it tell you that in the description either. I'd give zero stars if I could. Why offer an app you can't use? The idea of this app is amazing, but after reading the description & downloading, you only THEN find out it's not for use outside the U.S.. HUGE FAIL APPLE & DR. PHIL SHOW!!!! AND WHY ARE ALL YOU CANADIANS GIVING AN APP THAT WON'T WORK IN CANADA, 4 & 5 STARS?? You should edit your review & reduce it! It leads others to believe it works here & it does NOT. (I contacted them)

Pay fees. I love how they don't show having to put a credit card number in to get help

Canada. I live in Canada. I was wondering if there will be a Canadian version of this application.

Thank you. This is genius I don't know why someone has come up with this concept sooner. I'm on vacation struggling with strep throat and was able to access a fully Certified doctor in minutes. This process was so easy, ill definitely felt be using this again

We need this in quebec canada. Please help us get this app in canada quebec montreal thanks

Judith. Through this app users can receive follow up care instructions and prescription directly .

They Can’t do anything for you. Signed up about an ear infection, got on a call and they couldn’t proceed the appointment since I didn’t have the proper medical tools to look into my ear at home. They did refund me

Could be better. I have used DOD many times for medical appointments and all the appoints that I have had the providers have always been 5 stars but I am disappointed with the app support. I decided to try it for therapy. The therapist I saw was amazing and wanted to see me again the same week which I wanted to do also as I am going through a lot right now but there is no way to search a provider by name to set up an appointment. I ended up calling support and explaining this to them and asked how I can find her on the app. After 20 minutes on the phone and being put on hold several times rather than helping me learn how to schedule my own follow up appointments they scheduled an appointment with her for me but it is not for two weeks. I have tried sending a message on the app and the 24 hrs it says it would take for a reply has come and gone and no response. Found a place where I can email questions hoping for better results this time. Update they did not respond to my email either.

Get ahead of your illness. Wonderful program! I was able to meet with Dr. Galloway at 3 am my time. I couldn’t sleep, was experiencing many symptoms and knew I needed to get on the problems as soon as possible before they worsened. He was able to listen and get to the bottom of things very quickly. He diagnosed, prescribed, and got me on the road to healing. It’s hard to feel comfortable going into a Dr office or ER during this pandemic, and this program provides around the clock care with well educated and caring medical professionals. Why go somewhere when you can simply stay at home and get the care you need. So pleased and grateful to have gotten the care I need, AND when I needed it. No waiting inside the doctors office or busy ER for me. I have people depending on me, and I was able to get a jump start to feeling better using this service. That’s priceless! Thank you, I highly recommend this program and the services it provides.

Greatest Dr Experience Ever!. I tried Dr. On Demand on a whim because I did not have time to wait to see my own dr. It turned out to be one of the best dr visits I’ve ever had. Through this app I was able to quickly setup an account, enter my insurance info, and see a doctor all within 15 min. The Dr was personable, caring and compassionate. She listened to my symptoms, asked questions, and had me taken care of in no time. She also took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered. I just had a second visit through the app. I scheduled a follow up with the first dr I saw. She was so helpful and was able to address everything and answered my additional questions. She truly made me feel like she cared. I was not just another patient and she was not rushed at all. I would absolutely recommend using Dr on Demand! Just be sure to read the disclosures carefully as some illnesses/health issues cannot be treated through this app.

Not a Doctor Replacement but better than not going. Let’s face it... sometimes you’re sick and you need care but aren’t willing to deal with the long waits in crowded rooms of urgent care, your primary care can’t see you for days, and you just have a common illness like a cold that would benefit you from seeing a doctor, but you’re otherwise unable or unwilling to go. This service filled a gap. I have United Healthcare, so I paid $10 for my visit instead of $25 per usual. I was a little weirded out by the 15 minute timer and the annoying pop up to extend my session (which was free for me. Cash customers: your mileage may vary.) Otherwise, the Doctor was solid and the experience convenient. I will probably use this in the future instead of urgent care unless I know I’m going to use labs or where my complex visit might need a more hands on approach. Still, if you think of this as a low cost addition to your healthcare options, it’s an extraordinary new option that will improve your quality of health tremendously.

Use this all the time. Saves money and time. I use Dr On Demand all the time for minor illnesses requiring a prescription or medical attention which would otherwise require me to try and get into my primary care physician and which as we all know is often times extremely difficult on an emergency or last-minute basis. With my insurance there is zero co-pay, but when I started the rates were extremely reasonable. I can get in early or after hours and have an appointment from my bedroom rather than drive the 45 minutes to my doctors office and go straight to the pharmacy and pick up my prescription. What could be easier? All of the doctors have been extremely courteous and professional. I would use any of them even over my primary care physician if I could. I don’t see why everyone isn’t using this service it’s simply fantastic!

Time is of the essence!. Later are the days of a long drive, a sign I , and a wait for being seen. Enable notification, and after 15-30 minutes (most drives to a doctors office) you get a notification to sign into the app and within 5 minutes you are being seen. Most doctors I’ve seen have been very informative and interact well. Some better than others. Obviously all visits are virtual, so privacy is easily obtain, confidentiality, and comfort with convenience at the front of service. Doctors notes and are posted with instant access on app. Obvious limitations are that of physically being present, so honesty and your ability to interact via FACETIME needs to be met for best results. Take direction well, answer truthfully and you’ll have great results. If it’s an emergency GO TO THE HOSPITAL. Thanks, and awesome app! Used several times for diagnosis and direction, also doctors notes and returns for work if I’m cleared health screening wise.

Highly recommend! Easy to use and very convenient.. NOT ONLY DO THEY HAVE MEDICAL PHYSICIANS THEY ALSO HAVE MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIANS. I drive an 18 wheeler. I must say that when I have gotten sick out on the road at all different hours of the day it was alway convenient and easy for me to hit a rest area or truck stop for 15-20 min and grab my iPad and go to Doctor On Demand. There is always physicians available no matter the time of day. I have never had a bad experience with any of the physicians Dr. On Demand uses. Matter of fact so far I wish 2 of the docs I’ve used had an office in my home town to b their patient face to face because they are very friendly, knowledgeable, willing to listen and help resolve the patients issue in the proper way. I will surely recommend and use them often as needed. Plus my health insurance encourages us to use DR. ON DEMAND. I think it’s a win win situation for all.

Completely inept. The communication is a TRAINWRECK. I saw a doctor online. She was personable, knowledgeable, and did a great job. After that, though, everything came to a screeching halt. I received a message about the referral, then answered with my preference. It seemed a chat set up, so I sent the first message and intended to add the phone number like they asked with the second message. Well, apparently you’re only allowed one response. No worries, I figure. Google is available to us all, right? And the name of the practice in my area was obvious. Nope. Days later I get a message that they need me to provide the number and address, after I called to check where we were in the process. UPDATE: we’re still going back and forth. I’ve REPEATEDLY sent them the exact address, phone number, fax number and contact name and they are sending my referral to practices who don’t even *do* X-rays. Meanwhile, I’m sitting here with a potentially torn ACL. (Doc’s diagnosis) The whole thing seems a callous, uncaring, lazy, ridiculous waste of time while I get to hang out in pain. If I had seen my local doctor, I’d have had X-rays and been to the specialist by now. Not ever using this service again. Reporting them to the BBB.

Scam. I utilized this service through my former employer fully under the impression that the visits would be completely covered. My employer advertised all services are covered, doctor on demand advertised it as covered, when I scheduled appointments it said it was covered, and my very receipts from each appointment say it’s covered. Next thing I know I’m receiving invoices saying I owe $155 then another for my wife for $55 and now I see an explanation of benefits for $198, and when I call to complain and ask about it, I’m told “oh these are excluded charges” or “well your insurance is the problem for not covering it”Sounds to me that I’m being charged extra after service for whatever reason, and given the run around on that fact. I refuse to pay for a service I was told was completely covered on multiple accounts, and refuse to accept the concept of “excluded charges” as I have the receipts showing I owe nothing from each service. And I will never use this service again due to these reasons cause I’m sick of medical services and insurance screwing everyone over at every turn.

Must Have only 1 doctor. I have been waiting for over an hour for a doctor. I have watched the app tell me less than 5 mins twice just to jump back up to another 20 minute wait. **** Update just about 2 hours since I joined the waiting room watched my wait time jump back up to 30-40 minutes. Got another text saying my provider was just about ready for me that I needed to return to the app. I get back on the app and wait time went from less than 5 mins back up to 20 Mins. They promise they are available 24hrs but there hasn’t been a doctor available for at least 2 hours now. I guess I will provide an update in an hour if I’m still waiting. Btw I logged in with enough time to see a doctor and have a prescription sent to the pharmacy before they close at 6. So it will be interesting if someone actually sees me before the pharmacy closes. I do know I will be filing a complaint with my insurance and whoever I need to because they should not have a contract with an unreliable service. ****

Long time patient. Getting a refill on a medication is almost impossible! This is the second time in my year and a half that I have had this problem. I submitted a refill request exactly a week ago. Seven days is a reasonable time to give for reply. As of today(day 7). I have yet to see any reply on my request. I spoke to customer service yesterday to have my request filed again and then called again today just to hear customer service tell me that my request has yet to be looked at! I then asked to speak with the manager for customer service and was told that he was too busy for me to talk to and that he (customer service rep)would write down my complaint and escalate it. Nope no use in trusting that to happen. What kind of customer service manager tells customers that he is too busy to speak to them?? So I had to make an appt with a medical dr to call me in a prescription! The actual medical staff MDs are very responsive and understanding they have been amazing! I feel it is a failing procedural process and support staff. Anxiety causing event when the med you need refilled can’t be stopped abruptly!

Modern, easy to navigate, convenient. Very impressed by app and website. User-friendly. Simple and not overly-complicated. The user portal is well-organized. I especially like the document section where I can upload and download relevant materials for my treatment. The text reminders are great. I found the provider bios to be highly accurate and helpful in selecting a provider who can treat the symptoms my uncommon diagnosis. Also, being able to read the provider’s personal values, and approach to treatment was extremely helpful. Often in traditional treatment the patient knows absolutely nothing about the provider beforehand and it’s difficult to be an informed consumer of healthcare. DoD really excels in a consumer-oriented approach matched with highly-competent providers. Also impressed by appointment availability, and ability to reschedule. All treatment should be like this.

Very helpful when you cant see your physocan. ive used dr on demand several times. Each I received a vernal thorough evaluation snd treatment plan. I cant sspeak highly enough about the level of deficated professionals available. I highly The app lists basic symptoms that are appropriate for evaluation and treatment. Be sure to use only if its on the list of illnesses they recommend for trestment. Any severe pain or progressive worsening go to the ER. Some examples difficulty breathing frequent vomiting or duisrrhes ... sre just 2 examples that may require fast attention by a professional. zthey are dedicated educated professionals yet emergencies need just that tedting with ER evaluationStay healthy 💕they have been eonderful when I cant get into my drs. they can order tests but not a gull physical as rewiored insevere illness as chrst pai, blood pressure changes chest disconfirt ..., Wishing youbsll hesth snd ty ARNPs and doctors who led me bon to better health

Great service!. I rarely write reviews but felt this deserved one. I am out of town taking care of my grandson for a couple of weeks and have a sinus infection that I just can’t ignore any longer. I used Doctor on Demand since I’m not near my own physician and do t want to drag my grandson to an urgent care clinic. It was very easy to register, find a doctor to speak with and have a video appointment. The doctor was professional, knowledgeable and caring. He was able to prescribe antibiotics at the pharmacy I chose. My one piece of advice is to make sure you have good cell service for your appointment. I had to call a second time because my service at the house wasn’t strong enough to connect. They refunded my copay for the first visit because of the technical difficulties very quickly. I’m very pleased with Doctor on Demand and would recommend it to anyone needing to see a doctor when you’re away from home.

Solid Service. I wasn’t expecting the service to be so thorough in addition to being so easy. The doctor over the line listened to a full list of my symptoms and their order of occurrence without interruption and made sure they understood everything I was telling them. They also took the time to read up on a medicinal supplement I was taking to ensure they understood its content fully before prescribing anything. I felt very comfortable, and the process was expedient and cost-effective. I will definitely use this service again, and it has been far more efficient than a visit to my local urgent care. I highly recommend this service to others that may be wary of using a long-distance services for something as important as a visit to the doctor. I was well convinced of its efficacy by the end of my first experience, and I feel that I trust this service to connect me with professional medical insight remotely.

Wonderful. Like the other reviewer, I don’t usually leave app reviews however this time I’m going to. I recently moved from SC to MI. I was between jobs and therefore without insurance. I ran out of one of my medications and the soonest I could see a doctor (because I was a new patient) was two weeks out. Not good. I downloaded this app and thought what the heck I’ll give it a try. The doctor I spoke to was Dr. Melissa VanSickle, and let me tell you, she was better than any doctor I have seen in the last 20 years. She took her time and actually LISTENED to me. She called in my prescription to a local pharmacy and even gave me info about medication discounts because of my lack of insurance. I wish I could have her as my primary care physician!!! If you are hesitant about using an online doctor, let me reassure you...you will not be sorry if you use this app!

Primary Doctor Retires - Patient without a doctor. Within the past few months our family primary doctor retired. She was a wonderful doctor and will be missed. I thought I had time to research and find another primary pretty quickly - then I got strep. So I was now a patient without a doctor. Thank goodness for Doctor on Demand! I am one that doesn’t do well with new tech and try to stay away from it so the thought of seeing a doctor on video or through my phone made me weary. All the tech stuff that could go wrong or how can they really see what’s going on etc etc etc- Well we’ll we’ll- I could not have been more WRONG! The doctor was super nice, made me feel at ease and even helped me with some tips and tricks I could use at home to help me get well and stay well. I can’t thank Doctor on Demand and Dr. Witherspoon enough! This story ends with a person on the mend and a patient WITH a Doctor on Demand! 🤠👍 Be Well!

Could be great but.... I really wanted this to be amazing. The idea is fantastic, the app is great. I was able to speak to a doctor within minutes. She was polite and knowledgeable. My copay is considerably less than a regular doctor visit. I truly thought I would be leaving a 5 star review after I hung up the phone this morning. However, it’s been 6 hours since the appointment and they still haven’t called in my prescription. I made it very clear to the doctor that I was out of town traveling for work this week, and that I would not be in this location tomorrow, so the pharmacy i chose will no longer be a viable option. I’m sorry, but there is no excuse in it taking longer than 6 hours to send in a simple prescription. I of course sent a message to customer support and they have not even replied. So basically I’m screwed. Sitting 8 hours away from home with a bad eye infection and no medication. It doesn’t matter how wonderful the rest of this service is, if you can’t get the medicine you need to help your issue then it’s just a waste of time and money. Going to urgent care tonight like I should have done to start with. Lesson learned! I will not use this service again.

Service has been down for over 72 hours. I tried to do a virtual visit on Thursday morning and when I went to set the appointment, I received a message stating my visit would be $75! This service is FREE with my insurance but because of an error they’re claiming has to do with accessing my insurance information, they want me to pay full price. I brought this to their attention immediately, and they assured me the issue would be resolved by that afternoon. When it wasn’t and I contacted them again, they said it would be fixed in 24 hours. Again, when it wasn’t, they promised 48 hours. It is STILL not resolved and they’re blaming technical issues that they’re “working on”. When I stressed that I needed medical attention (because it’s after hours and they’re my only option) they suggested I “just pay the $75” instead of finding a workaround to help me since again, this service should be FREE with my insurance. I am incredibly dissatisfied with their lack of action, care and willingness to help, especially in the middle of a pandemic. Would not recommend!

Great dr visits, not so much w/ psychiatrists. I have had 2 medical visits and both were 5 stars. The doctors were professional, friendly and listened to me. The wait times, the visits and the prescription call in were all prompt. Unfortunately, my wife was having a difficult time emotionally after back surgery. I suggested this app for a psychiatrist since she couldn’t tolerate riding in a car. The appointment scheduled for the psychiatrists were full for 2 months with the exception of 1. The psychiatrist was awful, and not like “she’s having a bad day “ awful. She was a bad doctor. She forgot my wife’s name and situation multiple times, prescribed a medication my wife did not want to take due to the bad withdrawals associated with it, and told her to quit all of her other meds cold turkey. Then said she was depressed because she wasn’t doing anything (her back kept her from walking very long) and suggested apps. So, she made this only 4 stars because she’s going to lead someone into a harder place than they already are.

BEST VIRTUAL VISiT EVER!!. I had the good fortune of connecting with an amazing Doctor, Dr Sara Folden, and from the time I signed into the app it was less than 5 min and I was being connected with Dr. Folden! Virtual visits can just be kind of uncomfortable bc it is hard to build rapport via phone , but I can tell you from my awesome patient experience with Dr Folden, she has certainly set the high standard all virtual doctors should aim for! She was so engaging, warm, great listener, and just very human! I truly felt like she was concerned about my health! And I found out that this app actually allows you to request your favorite doctor, a benefit I have not seen on some of the other dr apps that seem so cold and sterile, and feeling like you’re being rushed off the phone! This patient experience was truly a wonderfully unexpected pleasure, so THANK YOU DR ON DEMAND I will be recommending you to all my friends and family!! And thank you again, Dr Folden for making me feel so comfortable! You are awesome!!!! SP

Best solution ever!!. There are few more awful feelings than already feeling sick, having to drag yourself to the nearest clinic or ER, sit there for hours not only getting exposed to everyone else’s illnesses, but spreading my own illness to others around me. I was visiting my family several states away, came down with Influenza, was on a military base, didn’t have a car, had no way to get off base to go to a hospital or know what hospital that would honor our insurance and I was beside myself. I was with our grandchildren and did not want them to get what I had. I called DOD, they went through in great detail what symptoms I was having, how severe and for how long. They prescribed medicine and within 2 days I was a new person. I was so stressed being in a different state, unfamiliar with the available healthcare not to mention trying to get there and calling DOD handled it all for me. I am so grateful!!

Be careful if you commute across state lines. I booked an appointment at work one day while I had time. The next night when it was time for my appointment I called in and the application cancelled my appointment with a “location error”. It turns out that the issue was that I booked the appointment 100 yards from the DC/MD border and live in DC and that my practitioner was not licensed in DC. I understand the licensing requirements and am not arguing that. What I am upset about is that the application clearly knows where I book a location and where I live. If those do not match, a reasonable response would be to prompt the user. This was not done and I was wholly unaware of this possibility. The only good tech support could provide was telling me of the issue. They would not even take my feature request/bug report. Their exception handling system is garbage. If an error like mine occurs you need to have a decent message come up. All that tech support had was “location error”. How are you supposed to debug with that kind of information? This is something you’d expect out of a small application or game, not an app where personal, medical, and financial information is stored and transferred and is of an urgent nature.

A wonderful new way to seek help with a therapist.. If you are thinking “ maybe” I should try this...... DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!! I hesitated. making an appointment for a very long . The concept was so foreign to me. Did I want to open up my soul to someone on the phone? How strange would that be? Well I decided to take a leap of faith. I couldn’t be happier that I did. It has been so easy. It has turned out to be just like the “ typical therapy”, when you talk in person. There are several benefits as well. No traffic to deal with. I don’t have to iron any clothes! I save on gas, and these prices are climbing! Also, I don’t have to subject myself to an increase risk of being exposed to the Covid -19 virus. That alone, is a perfect reason to try it. Plus, if by chance you do not like it this way, you do not have to continue. You do not sign up for anything mote than 1 visit at a time. Try it, you will be happy you did. I know I am.

Working MOM. This app has allowed me to take care of myself which is hard to do when you have to take care of kids and work a job to continue to keep your family stable. When you’re constantly having to takeoff work for regular visits and your child’s regular visits and anytime your child gets sick is a lot. Using this app has changed my life I won’t continue to ride out my sicknesses and hope for the best I will go straight to Dr on Demand. Please do not misunderstand that just because it’s a short visit that it has no value because these doctors know what they’re talking about they stay up-to-date on the information so that they can treat you in a short time. And even with all the information that I could provide ahead of time they are still willing to listen to whatever might not be in your chart. I wish all doctor visits were like this.

I used to love it. Not anymore. I’ve used this app 2-3 per month for at least 3 years, maybe longer. I’ve had mostly favorable views. Recently the app doesn’t remind me of appointments, the reminder texts don’t get sent. I missed one appointment a few weeks ago because I was literally at the pharmacy getting emergency medication so I could function. Didn’t get a text or app reminder btw. I had Debilitating nausea and vomiting. You’d think a person would get at least some compassion. Nope, $140 charge and support said, “sorry can’t help”. I get the business aspect of it, but for one missed appointment in 3 years because of being very ill and needing help, you can’t forgive that? I filled out a form to get a refund and two weeks later still no response. Missed an appointment this morning because your app wouldn’t work. It kept crashing. Clear done with this garbage app. I wish I could see my provider without using this draconian pile of snot. The bottom line is that Dr on Demand is a business and their bottom line is all that matters. People don’t matter, only money. Peace out, Doc!

Please never use. One thing I will tell you as that I will never seek your service again. I would rather go to an urgent care and gets seen by a real doctor who listens to their patients and get real medical help. After see the 2 doctored on here I will never use your services again and will never recommend this worthless care to anything. It’s cheap and I no got what I paid for which is 100% nonsense and waste of my time and money. I just went to an urgent care and yes I was right that that it was an infection and now going to pick up my anitibiotics. I’m not a doctor and even I am competent enough to know it was an infection. Your so call doctor could not diagnosed. Instead blew me off and told me its allergy. If they can’t tell the difference between allergy and infection then I’m not sure what they were busy doing in medical school or what business they are doing seeing people on here. I will warn anyone I know to never use this app and put their health at risk in hands of doctors who should never be allowed to see people.

Don’t bother. We had a virtual appointment yesterday at 8:30 a.m. The doctor diagnosed strep throat and told us she’d call in an antibiotic. We waited several hours to hear from our pharmacy. Nothing. So we called the pharmacy. They hadn’t received a prescription. So I sent two messages through the app at 1:30. No reply. So I called Doctor on Demand at 4:30 only to find out the prescription had never been sent. They also said providers have 72 hours to sign off on orders. What?! I finally did get a response from the message I sent through the app around 5:45, but it just said it looked like I had called and talked to someone and didn’t need further assistance. Yes, I had talked to someone an hour before, but I was still waiting on the prescription at this point and could have used more help. So here we are at 10:30 a.m. the next morning still without a prescription called in to our pharmacy. I’m so frustrated and will never use this service again. We could have gone to our local urgent care, been seen at 9:15 yesterday and would have had a prescription within hours. But I was trying to protect my family. What a complete joke!

Room for improvement. I was disappointed by this app. I have used other online treatment options and much preferred Virtuwell. I did not like that the app required access to my location to even pull it up or log in. I never leave my location on and aught to be able to enter it manually when needed. I was initially pleased with the experience - the provider was reasonable and helpful. He answered all questions and seemed capable. However, I am a nurse and when I went on to my company’s drug database to double check specifics of the antibiotic I was prescribed, I found that he did not prescribe what would be a full round of antibiotics for my condition. Upon finding this, I realized there is also no way to send a question to the provider after the fact without booking a follow up visit. This app is preferred by my insurance, but in the future I will go back to Virtuwell even if I need to pay the extra $30 visit cost for going out of network. They don’t require my location, and all follow up questions are free and easy to submit.

Very easy & convenient! Great experience. My daughter is sick with a fever and didn’t want to get up to go to a quick care or wait in the doctors office for a few hours total. Poor girl wasn’t feeling well and I didn’t want to have to make her get up and leave. This service is so easy, very quick and convenient it’s ridiculous lol. Also, Dr. Schmidt was so sincere and very thorough! Asking a lot of questions, showing me how to do certain exams on her so we could conclude what her illness was. He was very informative and made sure if I had any other questions to please feel free and call the customer service number provided in the App. And last but definitely very important, he gave us a doctors note to excuse her absences and mine from work! Which I definitely needed. Overall experience was wonderful! I will definitely be using this service again!

Best App Ever...it’s a no brainer!. When I moved from Boston (one of the BEST medical care communities) to NYC I dreaded dealing with my doctors because they seem to just want to run up medical bills and waste peoples time. I travel a lot and can’t always get to my doctor or an “urgent care” facility with doesn’t exist in every state. Sometimes extremely simple issues that I was able to call a nurse and get a prescription for in Boston turned into an all out battle of me trying to persuade NYC doctors that a full blown visit isn’t needed. This app is a GAME CHANGER. Traveling now and my doctor was being very difficult about a basic and recurring issue that’s in my file. Simple medicine thats not dangerous was needed to clear the issue. Simply paid to get on this app and BOOM! My prescription was ready in the next state when I arrived to my destination. USING THIS APP WAS NO BRAINER! Worth the cost even though my insurance wouldn’t cover it. True convenience!

Excellent physician and efficient platform. My first experience with Dr. on Demand was due to my doctor and urgent care clinic being unable to see me right away. After entering my information, I was able to speak with the doctor immediately. She was excellent. She listened to me, asked lots of questions, and provided recommendations and prescriptions. I feel like she really cared that I was not feeling well and wanted to help make it better. With many doctors and definitely ER and urgent care doctors, they are in and out in a couple of minutes to hurry onto the next patient. With Dr. Malone, I did not feel like she was rushing me and gave me plenty of time. It is not gimmicky but did save me a lot of hassle and energy that I don’t have right now. I will definitely use this again! I recommend it to anyone needing medical advice right away.

Excellent. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for an appointment. Everyone I’ve seen has been thorough and knowledgeable. I’ve been seen for a variety of sickness like colds and viral infections, and mental health issues. If it’s something they think you need further examination for they will let you know! It’s so great to be able to see the doctor from the comfort of your home, or even when you’re not home, when you’re not feeling well. You may think “how can they do a good job over a video call?” But they do. You have the ability to take photos and they walk you through the exam to feel with your own hands on your own body if anything is wrong. They send your meds directly to your pharmacy of choosing. The best part is it’s affordable! Nothing like what you would pay for urgent care. I love having Dr. On Demand.

COVID-19 No Help Assistance. This is the worst app ever!! I spent over 2 hours yesterday with my son waiting for a connection to a doctor, but finally gave up. I spent over 3 hours connected and waiting, only to get a message saying that they couldn’t hook me up with a doctor and I should make an appointment. The only options it gives is to make an appointment for the next day. My company recommended going through this site to follow the government and CDC requests to use a site or a drive thru service to avoid contact and spreading the COVID-19 virus further. My son is a cancer survivor who has a weakened immune system as well as a bad heart. I also fall into the high risk category with a bad heart and other health issues. This site and their actions has worsened both of our conditions waiting to get help and now we are forced to take more aggressive and risky actions to receive medical attention we were needing. Since absolutely no medical assistance was ever given or even offered, I expect to see absolutely no charge to my FSA. Please shut this site down since it is more harmful than good, and puts people at risk with the false pretenses that they will soon be assisted by a doctor.

Do not use, you will be screwed out of your appointment. Made an appointment with a psychiatrist after a particularly bad nervous breakdown. I waited anxiously for days. When it was finally time for my appointment, I got into the call and we started talking then about 5 minutes in the call disconnected. I tried messaging the support team through the app but after awhile, called the number because I didn’t get a response. The lady who took my call told me it was because I didn’t have my location settings on so the system automatically dropped the call with no way of rejoining. So I checked my settings and not only do I have my location setting on, but they were also set to specifically allow the app to use my location. I am deeply disappointed. I finally found a mental health service that my insurance paid for (so they said; they said they didn’t charge my card…. For a call that said there was no copay) and now I’m back to square one. Will not reschedule an appointment or use the app again.

Unable to get a prescription. I had rated Doctor on Demand 5 stars at the time when I saw a Doctor virtually. It was quick, easy and painless. The doctor asked me to select my pharmacy so I could pick up my meds and I thought all was food until I went to the pharmacy and they said I wasn’t able to pick up the meds until I called OptumRX to release the medication to Walgreens so I can pick it up there. A month later, OptumRX sent me a letter stating my insurance didn’t cover the medication. I decided to go to another pharmacy and used this app to show the pharmacy my doctor’s prescription, they weren’t able to honor the prescription since it was on an app and needed a paper prescription or the doctor to call. No where on this app can you download the doctor’s prescription. I then reached out to customer service on Doctor on Demand for help and they told me to call the pharmacy for them to call the doctor which I was told it was the other way around. I still haven’t gotten my medication. I still do not have a doctor’s prescription in hand. That is why I am giving this app a one star since I still don’t have my medication.

Thank you Dr. Walton!. I'm incredibly thankful for the availability of Doctors on Demand! During our vacation out of state, my daughter had a case of swimmer's ear. The convenience was remarkable as I managed to schedule an appointment and have a video consultation with a healthcare provider within just 15 minutes, even at 10:30 pm. The provider promptly sent a prescription, and the following morning, I could easily get it filled. Such accessible medical support made a world of difference for us! The provider, Dr. Walton, had exceptional bedside manner and was incredibly personable. Throughout the video consultation, he made us feel like we were part of his own family and demonstrated genuine care and concern for my daughter's well-being. His compassionate approach left a lasting impression, and we are truly grateful for his expertise and support. Thank you, Dr. Walton, for your outstanding care!

Bladder infection/female. Today is the Fourth of July. I woke up with a serious bladder infection. I used Doctor On Demand five years ago for the same issue, which the doctor told me because it was still in my records from five years ago!!! At that time I I got immediate help and a prescription to pick up at my local pharmacy . I tried using it today and couldn’t get it to work. I noticed you had a tech-support, /contact us number which I used. They picked up a immediately helped me delete the app. Download the new version , gave me a temporary password and helped me immediately connect. Being a holiday I had to wait 45 minutes to see a doctor. I received constant texts about five of them over the 45 minutes telling me what the waiting period left was. My last text said “you’re in the waiting room. “The doctor is reviewing your records. Five minutes later talk to the doctor!!! leaving the house now to get the prescription. This app is a godsend for people who need immediate help !!! The design is impressive. It provides Technical support 24 /7. It gave constant feedback about the wait I had The care and attention the doctor gave me …..all outstanding very very impressive experience , thank you Oh yeah, and a $20 co-pay after I put my insurance information in. Total Homerun!!

Terrible experience that ended in the emergency room. I had had 2 decent experiences with this app before. When I used it last week I was given a doctor who felt off right from the beginning: terrible bedside manner, flat out told me my medical history was wrong (which it is not, and I have years of documentation to prove it), he arbitrarily diagnosed with something I did not have and then still did not prescribe me any real course of treatment for the condition he picked out of thin air. I was basically told to just rest my foot and ride it out. Two days later I end up in an ambulance and in the hospital. His misdiagnoses has now led to me being on 2 of the medications I had first discussed with him that he laughed off, as well as a few others. I am now on crutches for the next few weeks... because of the delay in proper medical care I received, and I will have go under go some physical therapy to regain full use of my foot. BUYER BEWARE from this app. And to boot, they send me an email every few days to see if want to schedule a follow up with their app-doctor... even though I’ve made them aware of the terrible and medically unsound experience I had with their practitioner. Never again.

When it works, it’s great. When it doesn’t support is a nightmare.. If you like being gaslit into believing that system messages are simply user errors instead of dogging deeper to determine a root cause, then Dr on Demand is the app for you. I’ve had two separate issues where a provider I’ve been seeing for months suddenly stops showing me potential appointment spots, which turned out to be a provider credential IG issue and had nothing to do with a lack of appointments. According to Dr in Demand’s lackluster messaging system, you’d never know that, so much so that first-level support just puts you off by saying “try back later” and leaves the end user to figure it out with the provider (should you be lucky enough to have existing appointments already scheduled). I’m currently experiencing the same issue for a second time, and am at risk of missing out on appointments with my therapist for the next two months because of their inability to do their job.

No show doctor. No courtesy alert.. My son had an appointment that was booked a month in advance. We logged in using the web browser from my laptop and tested the setup to make sure everything was good. For five minutes after the appointment was supposed to start we watched a screen prompt that told us the doctor was reviewing the notes and a countdown clock that continued to reset. I was a little annoyed that the doctor hadn’t bothered to review the notes beforehand, but whatever that’s not the biggest issue. Then, the appointment canceled without warning. The doctor is no longer viewable from the list of doctors to book an appointment for. When I called the support line, the rep was also not able to find the doctor’s profile. This is very unprofessional of the doctor, as well as the company for allowing doctors to flake out of an appointment like this. I hope there’s a penalty of some sort for Dr. Tracie DeJarnette-Holly. The only good thing is that they refunded me right away. But, I would’ve preferred my son to have his appointment or at the very least the courtesy of a cancellation notice.

Super Amazing and Great Physicians. I had my first visit with Dr. Matthew Walton. I have been sick and experiencing some bad symptoms, even went to the ER and was discharged with no antibiotics or anything for my Coughing, Congestion, Shortness of Breath, muscle and joint pains, sore throat and chest pains. Just a testing for COVID (which came back negative). It’s been about 2 weeks and still having the same symptoms. I’ve taking almost every cold and flu medicine out there, Tylenol and ibuprofen and still nothing helps. My one visit with Dr on Demand, and Dr. Walton was able to strategically come up with a plan to treat my sickness and gave great advices on how to make me better again. I appreciated the empathy and the caring attitude that he gave to assure that I was going to be ok and be taken care of. Dr. Matthew Walton was able to prescribe me some medicine so I can get better and looking forward to spending some time with my family again. Thank you! Irene Pauni

I loved this.. So my insurance company has been sending me Emails about doing virtual Dr visits. I decided to give it a try today. It’s only for things that you might go to an urgent care or Minute clinic for. I would never use it for my diabetes care or blood clotting issues. I have a severe cold right now. So I decided what the heck let’s give this a try. The co-pay was exactly the same as at my primary Dr while urgent care is considered an emergency visit and would be way more. I encountered the same basic health questionnaire that most drs offices use. During the video call he even mentioned not being able to proscribe certain meds because of my other health issues. That gave me confidence in the Dr. so I was seen by a doctor with out spreading my cooties all over and I didn’t pick up any new bugs along the way. That and I remained in my pajamas.

This is app is going to kill someone. Avoid Dr. Joshua Werblin (no compassion), avoid Dr Frances Howard (doesn’t give you the time of day and only will go based of previous notes instead of making her own decision as a provider), avoid Dr. Stephanie Lockett (instead of seeing you at all she will cancel on you 30 min prior after waiting for appt, very unreliable and unprofessional). Book with ANY OTHER psychiatrist. I work for another telemed app and I’m a certified crisis counselor and work the suicide hotline where I dispatch police/EMT’s to crisis situations. These doctors have no compassion or heart for working in healthcare, do yourself a favor and pick any other provider. My best friend passed away so I booked for insomnia looking to continue 25mg of Seroquel only, but apparently even though this app highly advertises support for grief, loss, and insomnia they won’t help you with it. Oh, and for sure do not cry at all during the appt for your mental health (red flag). Go with the Brightside APP. 10/10 recommend was the best decision of my life after this app strung me along for 4 months. If you value yourself or your loved ones life go in person or use any other app.

Life Changer. With less actions between you and getting the help you need, it's a game changer especially for mental health. Bipolar with anxiety, I struggled for over 45 minutes deciding whether to make my appointment or not. A physical appointment, I would have just not went under the circumstances. But with no added steps - getting ready, leaving the kids, driving, parking, new building, waiting room, new office, new person. It's literally just find a place to talk and sign in to meet with the provider. Legit doctors. I'm bad with accents and due to a cold my hearing isn't great but my provider spoke clearly with no real accent to speak of. The best part was it worked with my insurance just like I was going to a physical appointment. Then after the call I was prompted with a reminder to set my follow up appointment. Once I did so, I could add it to my calendar right from the app. So convenient, easy to use, and quality. Highly recommend!

Very nice. He was straight to the point I felt he was trying to see what was wrong with me ... I liked him a lot than some of the doctors on here make you hop throw a bunch of hoops and getting carried a way with their title of being a doctor ...He was professional pleasant and agreed that he thought it sounded like sinus infection ... No he did not give me what I felt like I needed asked me to try something he thought would work better will come back and finish review after I see if meds he gave prescription to worked ... so far do good .. one dr last time told me I was not sick and I was and said I would have to pay for another visit if I needed prescription because she ran out of time was asking me to practically stand on my head which I feel was abusive and than it cost me I had to get another doctor never going back to that ladyThis doctor seemed to be just a good and nice doctor and not a whack like I had last time !

Love the mental health options. I love the mental health aspect of this program. So many people and companies deal with the body but forget that the mind is just if not more important than the physical body. This app offers both, doctors for the body and mental health doctors. Appointments are easy to schedule, there is no drive or waiting room, just you and the doctor. I use the that same counselor but what I love about this program is that you can read the bio of each counselor and if one doesn’t work for you then you can schedule with someone else until you find the right fit. There is no penalty or fear that one counselor is talking to another. I have recommended this app to several of my coworkers who have seen a shift in me during this short time I have been using it. Take the time, use the tools and do some thing for yourself.

Been a patient since they began. This is honestly one of the best apps in healthcare that you could ever have. Shame on any company with insurance that doesn’t have this as an option.. Medicaid Medicare should all provide this option for their patients. There is ways to make a medical visit via telecommunication just as thorough as if you go into a doctors office. Modern technology is an amazing thing. I personally have a blood pressure cuff, a pulse oximeter, a thermometer, and an otoscope. If you have these devices and you don’t wanna leave your home except for maybe to have someone pick up your medication, than this is the thing that you’ve been missing. I honestly don’t know how I ever lived without this. They can even request a x-ray or a scan at a local facility. Thank you to the entire team, but my favorite person would be Dr. Fedinec, thank you again for being so kind and caring.

Total crapshoot.. I’ve used this service three times. Two times were great experiences. Knowledgeable doctors listened and helped me with what I needed. The third time is where it gets interesting. Completely incompetent doctor had no clue what he was doing. He had no idea the difference between tramadol and toradol which are completely different medications. Okay whatever. So I call customer service who advises they will send me a refund request and to try again for a second opinion. So I do and get the SAME doctor. To top it off they say they won’t give me a refund because medical advice was provided. So I essentially paid twice for the same thing and was completely useless. I tried to explain to them I just wanted a refund for the second time that I got the same doctor and they said that the decision is final and wouldn’t let me speak to a supervisor. Based on that experience I will never ever recommend or give this company any of my money ever again. There are good providers but the customer service and the crapshoot of providers is total garbage. It’s not worth spending your hard earned money on. Do yourself a favor and go to your local doc you know you can trust.

The Good and The Not so Good.. The Bad: I was originally seen by a Psychiatrist, because of nightmares that I have started having again, due to past trauma. Including, trauma from over 20 years ago and trauma that took place this year. I get a message from the treating doctor that she has diagnosed me with something that was excluded from my original diagnosis of Bipolar disorder in 1997. This doctor did not listen to me at all, which is horrifying. There has been no communication with this doctor other than a message on the app. I reached to Dr. On Demand concerning this this disturbing matter to no avail. Very disappointing. The Good: Therapist, Mr. Campbell actually listened and understood the reason for my visit. He gave me a short quiz , that matched closely to the reason I called. This in and of itself demonstrated to me, that Mr. was present and interested in helping with the issues that I am facing. He was really listening, not just there collecting a pay-check. Thank you Mr. Campbell.
