What happened to this app?. This app used to work really well but it’s gone downhill. Here’s an example. Yesterday I was getting the shopping list figured out and had added several items to the list I share with my hubby. This morning I tried to add our Regular List to the ongoing shopping list and the app kept crashing. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and — I should have seen this coming — it dropped the items I’d added yesterday. I didn’t realize what had happened until after my hubby got home from shopping without the wine and butter and other items that I’d added yesterday. Anyway, this crashing problem is a real drag and a waste of our time bc we have to go back, or somewhere else, for the missing items. Please fix it, Freddie!

Glitchy App. Let me first start by saying I will update once I get Kroger’s technical support to contact me. My current problem is not being able to update my debit card information on the App or online. After being given the run around and contacting my bank to make sure I don’t have any restrictions on my card, I was able to find that Kroger’s system is holding on to my old CC info. So without them taking care of this I can no longer use the app or order online. I’m going on 12 hours with no contact from Kroger, so we will see what happens next. The other problems that continue to occur, not with every order but every other order, is that I will not get a text when something is out of stock and am told this at the time of pick up. I’ve had problems with not getting a text that my pick up is ready. I don’t know if this is a store issue or an App issue.

Discrimination On Gluten Free. Hello, Please stop discrimination on your online choices for pick-up for those of us living with Celiacs Disease. I know I have bought gluten free bagels in your stores. But you do not offer them to buy on the pick-up list. It’s bad enough that I am limited in my choices of foods due to my food allergies. Please add ALL of your gluten free food options on your pick-up list. Right now you are not doing that. It’s frustrating to me knowing you carry one of my items I prefer only if I buy it in the store. I need to switch back to shopping online due to my age and caregiving responsibilities to my clients and loved ones with Covid 19. So please, please, please, PLACE ALL GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS ON THE PICK UP SHOPPING LIST. Thank-You, Leslie Lemieux

Great concept, poor execution. For anyone tha uses apps or computers regularly, this app is a nightmare. It is not seamless or intuitive at all and it takes 5 steps to do something that should take 1 step. Regulars should be accessible via the main shop page rather than having to go back and forth between the 2. In my shopping cart there is a regular glitch which causes many of the exact same items to appear 3 or 4 times which takes me forever to go over my final cart. Notes for the shoppers are never saved so they have to be in put each time you shop. You cant edit once you are in the final cart, you have to go back out. Many items drop out once added. THis has happened to me many times and I don’t notice until I have picked up my order. And these are the gripes just off the top of my head. This morning the app crashes every time I go into regulars. THis would be a great service if it worked but I spend more time hassling with this app than I do shopping in the store so I am no longer using it until a major change happens.

Works wonderfully when it works right. This app, through its various updates, has had the same issues—every time you look something up to add it to the list (in my regulars) sometimes I have to recheck everything, sometimes I don’t. Usually I have to uncheck things I didn’t have checked. I think it confuses the app, but it would be nice if it could remember what was and wasn’t checked. That leads to the second issue—double listing of a product in your list, and if you try to delete one, it deletes both of them, and if you add one back, it adds two separate listings again. The only way I have found to work with this is to just go through the cart and undouble things that it has doubled the amount of. Another problem (and this becomes user/app problems at this point) is that if you’ve had to add a few things, you may have gone back and forth and re-checked items so many times that even though you have really tried to be careful, you inevitably forget something because you _thought_ it was checked. Don’t get me wrong—I truly appreciate this app and the being able to just pick our groceries up. It makes things so much easier. I think if I were a mom with little kids this would be a fantastic thing—but hopefully not having the issues ordering that I have been. I keep thinking with each update that it’s going to stop, so maybe it’s my phone/tablet. I am grateful it’s here, I just wish the process was smoother.

Sort and filter options are awful. I should be able to sort by price on grocery items when I am browsing specific types of items. I’ve already narrowed down the search, having an alphabetical search is nice but that doesn’t help me look for the most affordable options. Items also need to have quantity tags, not rely on oz/gal in search text to find what I’m looking for. This is a filter that many other stores incorporate into their apps already. It’s a little more effort but it dramatically improves the usability of the app and makes it less frustrating to find items. If I have to spend an hour putting together my grocery cart I’m using another store’s app that makes it quicker than an in store trip to put everything together. Grocery apps should be quicker than an in-store visit, not take just as long.

Many faults. First, I’d like to say that because of health reasons I love having the pick up and delivery options. However, I’m not as impressed as I used to be. This app used to show the ingredients on almost all of their products, and now the majority of the ones I need actually show them. Having celiac disease and allergies to foods, it’s imperative I know what I’m getting. Also, the other app was easier to find qualifying products for coupons. Navigating through the app is not as easy now. Often times I search a product and it says there isn’t anything matching that description, but I can word it the same way another time and it brings the product up easily. Before, it was clear what promotional items to purchase to receive free delivery. It’s much harder to find now, but even after finding a coupon valid today for free delivery on purchases of $75 or more, it would not apply it to my order. Therefore, on a $211 purchase I was charged $9.95 for delivery and $11 for a tip (I live 2-3 minutes from the store). Maybe the tip for the driver should be based on delivery location. Lastly, I was able to include notes about the actual delivery in the past, and the app does not have a place for that anymore. I really need to have that option, so I find this very frustrating.

Boost could be improved. Update: just cancelled boost for safeway fresh pass. If you don’t tip your entitled instacart shopper, they don’t bother to text you about substitutions. I wanted wheat bread and would’ve paid more for another brand, white bread is disgusting and unhealthy. I’m happy to pay more to get groceries delivered from a refrigerated truck by a real employee! They use instacart to fulfill delivery orders placed in Fred Meyer app, but they don’t let you choose replacements for low stock items before shopping starts. When using instacart app they always let you choose replacements or refund ahead of time. With Fred Meyer, the instacart shopper texts you about out of stock items. You have to text a response which can be misinterpreted instead of pressing a button in app to respond. I don’t like this at all. Also Safeways delivers with their own employees and company truck. It’s much more professional. Kroger should take note!

Makes my life better. Ive been using the Fred Meyer/Kroger app for grocery pickup since pre-covid. I have an autoimmune disease that makes going out in the winter difficult and painful, and started ordering my groceries via the app as soon as it was available in my area. The app is very convenient to use and makes clipping store and manufacturer coupons very easy. I can add notes for my substitutions, and i do on most orders. Just like “I don’t care what brand or style for this” or “for a recipe so a substitution needs to be x specific type.” Considering the shortages we’ve been having in alaska for years now, this app has been incredibly helpful. The store shoppers know better than i do sometimes what replacements will work. Incidentally, the actual people at my local store are the reason I use the Fred Meyer app exclusively for my grocery shopping as opposed to any other grocery chain. Their employees are amazing and very helpful and I’m very grateful they offer this service. I know it has to be a pain, especially since it’s free.

Great for busy families. I love using the app. If I make a shopping list I love that the items are categorized by the aisle they’re in. If I’m shopping for pickup I love that the app tells me if an item has a sale or coupons I can add. Just now I got $162 of groceries for literally 50% off. As a house spouse with a toddler I don’t have time for couponing, so the fact that the app does it for me is absolutely amazing. It seems silly to be so grateful for an app, but the employees that work hard at the store doing the shopping for me so I don’t need to spend 2 hours entertaining a 3 year old while looking for items is honestly a godsend. I wish there was a function to tip the employees that shop for me though. Started this review talking about saving $81 and I’m not even doing any work, so I wish I could give back to the people that do.

Some annoying navigation problems. App works well for searching general items and adding to the cart/list but navigating it can be difficult and navigating weekly ads are a pain. The menu bar is only accessible from the home page and certain items are only accessible from the menu bar, such as your lists. It would make it much easier if the menu was accessible from the bottom bar. Weekly ad items cannot be directly added to your cart. So you have to continually refer back and find either the items you added to your list, or find which items are on the weekly ad, then search for them separately. There should be an option to see eligible items, or be able to directly add to your cart, just like regular coupons. For the “buy 5” items, it does not show available items that are eligible for that discount. Some items on the weekly ad, when you search for them, show that there is a coupon/discount for it, but other items don’t show anything although the picture is advertised on the weekly ad.

Huge time saver!!. I started using click-list when I was pregnant with twins and couldn’t walk through the store. I have come to love it so much that I will continue to use it for my weekly grocery needs! It is so convenient to build your list throughout the week and to take advantage of sales and online coupons. I know I spend less because I am not grabbing things as I walk up and down the isles making the nominal $5 fee more than worth it. I’ve never had an issue of anything missing or wrong and my groceries are always ready on time. My only suggestion is maybe an online check in through the app instead of having to call. Oh, and PLEASE start Click-List at the Nampa, ID location : ) thank you Fred Meyer!

Would be great if it wasn’t so glitchy. Every time I order from clicklist I can never finish the process without receiving errors to the point of having to refreshing the app, shutting down phone, or sometimes as much as deleting and re-adding the app. (“We are experiencing difficulties at this time”, “service fee has changed, please review” then sets me back to beginning with nothing for me to change) The app is also a bit chaotic to look at. Adding selected coupons to cart should be a one step process rather than having to go to each coupon and manually selecting the item associated. (I can adjust by clicking on item in cart if I desire to change the variety) Also, the app should be able to show you a subtotal and digital coupon difference, rather than having to prepay and adjust at pickup.

App is broke. I’ve used this app and I’ve liked it even with its limitations. But this latest update is bad. It didn’t recognize my log in. Went thru the forgot password route several times and it still failed. Eventually I got in. I started making my list for in store shopping. I wanted to see what I had, went to cart and it says can’t checkout online. But I don’t want to checkout, I just want to see what is on my cart. So I go back to my list, the one where I’ve added a bunch of items and I get the message that nothing is saved and do I want to start shopping. Argh! There is nothing that I can find to save the list. Previously my items were automatically saved. There are other issues with this app too. Before I could use my list on my phone to shop the store. Now I can’t. This app is now worthless.

Coupons and items don’t always match. So far I have enjoyed using this app, however I have found that there are often coupons where they don’t have a corresponding item able to be ordered, or the items associated with the coupon don’t seem to even be the right brand, and as such one would think the coupon might not apply. This phenomenon is especially mind-boggling when the coupon is specifically a ClickList coupon - so, I should only be able to use it when ordering the item form the app to be picked up.... but there are sometimes no items listed as associated with the coupon. Also, a specific item I wanted to purchase was able to be added to the cart but then once I went to checkout it said “since you changed locations this item is not available” but I have never changed locations.

Needs overhaul and major improvements. My biggest frustration with this app is that I select the store and method if shopping (Pickup at X) and then every single item I search for it shows me 9,000 options that are only available for shipping... Why?!? I'm not shopping for items to be shipped, why are they even included? Also, expand the inventory if what is actually available for pickup. I get they want people in the stores and impulse buying but I'm not doing that. I just set up a pick-up order at Target to get everything else. Bring back the option to input a free text item that "isn't listed but you know we have." Also,it would be great to scan a barcode if an item at home and if the store doesn't actually carry it, send a message to to manager or someone in the store to request it be carried. I do like that it tells me a coupon is available for an item I have selected.

Hands down the Safeway app is better. AND it doesn’t rely on Instacart scams.. I am so done with the Freddie’s app. Every single order minus one had substitutions: which is fine, but only if the shopper actually asks you what you’d like instead. The Safeway app allows you to select nuances for your substitutions: same brand different size/type, same type but different brand, or notes to specify. I was very clear in my Fred Meyer app orders, but still almost always ended up with disappointing substitutions, with no checking in from the shopper. On top of that, despite a response text to more than one shopper (plus clear notes in the app) that they not knock or ring the doorbell, given the fact that I have friendly but VERY LOUD dogs that go nuts when the doorbell is rung or a knock happens, they still rang the doorbell 3/5 orders. Wonderful. Thanks. 🙄 Plus the Fred Meyer app charges $10 for their delivery, while Safeway charges $5 AND gives you savings for the Safeway card. Safeway also lets you put more than 1.5 liters of alcohol in your cart. Thank you Safeway for letting me have a Covid vaxxed brunch at my house, with enough alcohol to make mimosas for my vaxxed friends!! Tried it with Fred Meyer first, and nope. I won’t use Fred Meyer/Instacart again. It’s Safeway for me.

Awesome!. I love Fred Meyer but I hate the shopping in the store. The aisles are to close together and now with the addition of the pick up service the already small aisles are clogged with the HUGE personal shopper trolleys. The app allows me to be one of the annoying people that shop online and clog the aisles with the trolleys all from the comfort of my couch! The pick up service is awesome, fast, and super friendly. I’ve never had a personal shopper pick out anything I wouldn’t have picked myself. It’s fast and I’m able to research prices and labels without feeling like I’m causing a traffic jam in the aisle. I save money shopping through the app and I don’t dread going to the store. One thing I would like to see is a weekly recipe section where I can click what I need to make stuffed peppers, or chicken enchiladas, or taco salad.

Forced to update. Shopping, Busy, or in a hurry and want to check a price or find an item quickly? “We’re sorry, but this app version is no longer supported. Please upgrade your app now to get the best mobile experience.” Excluding, you know, a quick and convenient experience. Login information not passed from previous version to update, further prolonging this frustrating inconvenience… Why update your app on December 21st?!? Shoppers don’t have enough to deal with one week before Christmas?!? App shows incorrect hours of operation for Christmas. Good thing I decided to call to confirm. At least the local store has their correct hours on their answering service. (I have automatic app updates turned off. Over the last 8 years App Store developers have tanked perfectly good versions of their apps way too many times in my opinion.) - July 26 update. V. 30.6 seemed to work after update until I signed in to My Prescriptions. Crash Crash Crash

Love the convenience; HATE being charged for bags I don’t use. I love the convenience of this app! HOWEVER I ALWAYS load my groceries into my own reusable grocery boxes and bags, leaving the store’s bags on the trolley they use to bring the groceries to my car. The app has no way for me to indicate that I DO NOT WANT the PLASTIC BAGS that the store uses. I ALWAYS remove my groceries from the stores bags into my own. On busy pick up days, the store personnel are always very accommodating, leaving my grocery trolly for me to empty the store’s plastic bags into my own bags in my car while the help the next customer. They simply collect the trolley the next time they walk by. There should be a way to do this in the app. And while paying for the bags isn’t very expensive, I do not want them, and do not want to pay for something I am not getting. Please update the app so that it offers the ability to opt out of buying bags. I’ll up grade my rating to 5 stars when you do.

They won’t bag my groceries into my reusable bags!. I’ve been extremely happy with Fred Meyer’s app and going and picking up my groceries until Now!!!! I have 2 complaints. I wish there was a button I could click just once to say I don’t want my groceries bagged because I will bring my own reusable bags. Currently I have to write, “Please don’t bag all items” in the notes line of every item. In Oregon, they just passed a law that saws they will not be providing plastic bags anymore so everyone is resorting to reusable bags. The second complaint is...The last two times I’ve been to pick up groceries, two different employees told me they will no longer be putting my groceries into my reusable bags curbside. They provide the bagging service inside with reusable bags but not at pick up? I think they want me to use their brown paper bags, because it’s faster for them to get it into the cars. However I’m charged for brown bags. This makes no sense. If this is continued protocol then I won’t be shopping at Fred Meyers anymore.

Overall, pretty good app!. I have been using this app for about 2 months, and it has already been improved a couple of times. I have a few improvements I’d like - if I have items for which I never want substitutions, or always the same comment, I’d like to be able to add that to my shopping list or “weekly” list, rather than having to retype them in the cart every time. Also would be nice to bring up the weekly list, select all, but then delete a few before adding them all to the cart. Could a “miscellaneous” item be added to the list? Sometimes you can’t find an item on a search, but you’re pretty sure the store has it. If you could add a description of what you want, with however many ounces or cans or jars, maybe the person doing the selections at the store could figure it out. Also would be nice to have a “not that” option, so if I select “beef” I could search for all fresh, deli, or frozen, but eliminate dog food, so as not to have to page through hundreds of cans before finding what I want. Overall though, this works pretty well, and I anticipate it will get better. Very much appreciated, since I am in a wheelchair, and my friends pick up my groceries for me. Thanks!

Part of the solution!. I haven’t usually shopped at Fred Meyer only because there are other grocery stores closer to my house, or I would do a big stock up at a local warehouse store that shall remain nameless. But I looked for a way to avoid grocery crowds in these uncertain times, and this app has been a lifesaver. Your curbside pickup staff have been friendly, helpful and generally awesome. Being able to modify the order puts Fred Meyer over the top of the competition. The only thing I wish would change is getting groceries in paper bags instead of plastic bags — which not only are less environmentally friendly, but they always seem to split before I can get the groceries into the house. Other than that, Fred Meyer has been a great part of the solution. Thank you!

Kroger CHEATS big time. Do not get this app. They will rob you blind if you don’t scrutinize each receipt. They lure you w great coupons until you get home to read your receipt to see cheated again. Twice in one week they did NOT apply the coupons at the register. They expect you to wait in line in the store customer service. Last time gal bit my head off. Same day spent $100 cheated AGAIN and after nearly 10 attempts to recover my money from the call center (They could have applied a credit) they still insist I go back and wait in line another 20 minutes and get my head bit off again. THEN I see they completely deleted over 500 gas rewards off my account which was the final straw. In 2.5 months I earned over 1700 points but FM your fun stops here. I will NEVER use your app again. I want to convey to all of your unsuspecting customers Fred Meyer app will siphon money from you if you don’t watch it. BE CAREFUL Kroger is a thief to innocent customers. SHAME on you Kroger. I assure you I will not spend that much money in your store so quickly as I will return to being a sporadic shopper going in only when i absolutely HAVE to. Burning bridges w good customers doesn’t phase you I realize. Oh well at least I’ll never be forced to endure this torture again. Bye forever FM “one sided “loyalty” program. I’m loyal to you, that’s the only loyalty going on here. Kroger cheats!

Has marketing ruined the app?. When we first started using this app it was very convenient. Lately we could not help noticed that a lot of our repeat items are “delivery only”, “in-store only” or “ship only”. Also the search feature won’t show all items. For example, today we wanted Dave’s Killer Everything Bagels. No matter how I entered it, it did not show up. When I scanned the label, there it was! It gets a bit frustrating as we see more and more of our items not being available for pick-up. Right now I can’t even order any kind of corn starch for pick-up!!! Our theory is that you are using your app for marketing. Forcing your customers back in the store hoping for more impulse buying. Forcing your customers to use your shipping and delivery options. It is all about making more money for the company and not being convenient for your customers.

Kroger pay works well. I like the intergration with my credit card. Scan once for both the discounts and select kroger pay at the end. Seems more secure than using the terminal. My only problem is at one of the stores I seem to be in a cell data black hole and have to use the Fred Meyer Guest wifi. Maybe a future verison could do the connection automajically. -In your what's new description in the app store, the phone number for suggestions says something like [insert phone number here]. It would be nice to call someone who directly supports the app for suggestions, complaints, and help needed. -This could be operator error, aka my setup is wrong or I just am not aware; the app doesn't connect with my password managers at various points. I'm guessing if the app was coded for the specific domains in those fields my password manager would autofil. (These days I use Apple's hide my email feature and I don't really know my email at a given domain.)

High Effort Savings. “We don’t want you to have that experience.” - OH YES YOU DO or you would have stuck with the system that benefits customers. I live in poverty but would STILL rather spend a little more at a store that doesn’t sneakily make me work to earn them more profit under the pretense (false) of saving money. YOU WILL ALWAYS SPEND MORE THAN YOU SAVE WITH APPS. SOLUTION: always find a cashier and tell them the app is broken and they will apply coupon discounts for you on the store’s dime instead of wasting a bunch of your time. Make them pay. This app might make you stop shopping at Fred Meyer. Now you have to do side quests to get good prices. Energy vampirism. (This is all entirely on purpose and part of how they make profit — from our pain and frustration.) Half the time when I try to open the app to scan my rewards card barcode at the register, the app forces me to update ON THE SPOT before I can do anything. Then it takes forever or fails. They want to frustrate you into passing up on savings. Don’t fall for their lies.

Latest update is horrible!. I called the Fred Meyer customer service line to complain about the new app update, but they acted like they hadn't had any problems so I decided to write a review. This program used to work really well, but someone with wisdom decided they needed to "improve" the app. What happened was that it's almost unusable. 1.) Gone is easy access to the search by department...which is a huge disappointment. I don't know the stores inventory so all I know is what I've purchased before. 2.) after I placed my order this morning, I revisited the website only to find 5 of the items I'd just purchased already in my cart. Argh! And 3.) it appears that the system wants you to begin with setting a pickup date before starting a cart. This isn't how I shop, I build my cart items over time and then decide when I'm finalizing the order. 4.) I've had nothing but problems with notes regarding substitutions disappearing once I place the order. Please don't roll out new app without considering the customer and how they use it. Really disappointing.

Lazy Workers. I normally shop for small items and pick up, but recently I decided to try the household items. I ordered a shelf, which was not a huge one, AND I assumed it wasn’t an issue for me to add to my pick up list since it was an option available to me. Well, shortly before my order was ready for pick up, this girl calls me to tell me they don’t have it in stock, but when I went to the store later that same night to see if there was something else, I found that same item. In fact, they had 5 of those shelfs in stock. If the workers have an issue with certain products and don’t want to carry them or have assistance carrying them to the vehicle maybe there shouldn’t be an option to add those items to the pick up list. Or maybe the lazy workers should just find an easier job that suits them where they can provide a great customer experience. Not too enthused about ordering to the Bakerview location. I will be picking up at the Lakeway store from now on.

iOS 13.0 update? Not cool!!!. Let me first start off by telling you that I love this service! I use it weekly and find your employees to be friendly, courteous, and kind! That being said last night I went on the app to place a grocery order and found that I had to upgrade to 13.0 on iOS in order to use this app. I own an iPhone 6, and it will not let me upgrade to this version. I feel like this is discriminatory, as people with older iPhones cannot use this service any longer. This means all the people with food stamps that cannot afford an iPhone X can no longer use your service. I got my iPhone 6 as a hand me down and I’ve taken very good care of it and I’m proud to say it’s in perfect condition, I don’t see a reason to buy a $1000 phone just because it’s the newest thing. I would seriously suggest that you guys fix this soon or you’re going to lose a lot of business not because people want to boycott your Company but because they can’t use your app. Thank you for your time.

Trying unsuccessfully to set up delivery. It would be great if the list allowed me to build it, yet each item I add it holds that item until I add the next and then deletes the previous item. Then it will tell me my cart is empty. Just wasted almost an hour trying to set up a dang delivery order and due to the app not functioning properly I’ve got absolutely nothing to show for it. Tried to set it to do not substitute because I know what I want and my budget and don’t want substitutions if my chosen items aren’t available I can just wait, yet that option also removed the item! So I tried with substitution left on, didn’t matter, cart will NOT hold a single item in the cart. Absolutely worthless service if you can’t actually use it! Guess I’m losing out on the good 4x coupon that expires today due to this! Extremely frustrated!! Guess I’ll try elsewhere because this is my third attempt that went exactly nowhere and I can’t handle the stress of trying agsin and getting sane results!

Love this app. I don’t write reviews often, but I thought it was necessary to write about how much I love the Fred Meyer app. It’s been really helpful during the pandemic- I can add the groceries I want and schedule a time for pickup so I don’t have to go inside the store with my 3mo old. It’s so handy, and the pickup process is really easy! Plus the associates who have brought out my groceries have been really friendly. One time I needed to change the pickup time and found that I wasn’t able to reschedule the time. All I was able to do was cancel the order. I was nervous that I’d have to go through my entire list of groceries and re-add them, but I was extremely happy when the app saved my groceries and asked if I wanted to re-add all of them to my cart! Such a great, time-saving feature! Thank you, Fred Meyer! Highly recommend!

Not totally intuitive. I’m new, so this will likely get easier, but it would be nice to be able to automatically put items on your list into the “regulars” category so they are easier to find. Also- I called Kroger and the rep was new and didn’t know how to walk me through using the app more efficiently. Also- I have been receiving hard copy of coupons but can’t figure out how to upload them to my online app so I can shop online. Also-why isn’t there a button to simply upload all of the available coupons, and weekly ads. It is super time intensive to browse coupons and then add them. It seems like a marketing ploy and it is annoying! Otherwise, I loved this FREE app and shopping online option- as I have been getting too busy at work to get to the store as much. Thanks!

Love it, but it’s a bit too complicated / buggy.. I’m assuming it’s a bug issue that causes some stuff to come up that shouldn’t be appearing when you compare it to the searched word... Or maybe things need to be recategorized via your guys end? While I love the idea / platform you guys have going on... Customers are stupid (no offense to any fellow customers..), generally they like what they’re used to, easy to use, and simplicity. I feel like you guys did great with the simplicity factor, but missed the mark on “easy to use.” I think it’s super cool that you allow the customer to choose what’s on the home page, but if they want to swap any of the things out they first have to take one away (it doesn’t state this, instead just puts the original tab back where it came from...). I also think it’s a amazing concept besides the fact that I have no clue how to access the other tabs you offer... I can only access the four unless I move them around for a second. Overall I think it’s the best grocery store app!

Terrible App Technology. 1) This App is counter intuitive. Very frustrating! We have repeatedly tried to “Clip” ahead of time, and then take pictures in the store. But, when you get to check out they don’t show up when we enter our number. They can’t find the clipped item. 2) Also, if you try to check the prices are right before the final total at check out, your saving don’t show up. Then, if you wait until it is totaled the clerk says, “It’s too late for me to change it. You’ll have to go stand in the customer service line and maybe they can help you.” 3) My final frustration is prior to this App I used to enter my rewards number and I got my savings if the item was on sale. (Nicest system) When I shop I am: a) going off a shopping list for recipes, b) reading labels for food allergies in our family, c) comparison shopping for the best price per ounce or unit, d) AND now they (Fred Meyers) want me to open my phone and take pictures of their sale coupons! I dislike their system for several reasons. It feels disingenuous, as if they’re trying to prevent me from getting savings. Their own clerks can’t help you with it. At this point it almost feels like an intentionally obtuse app designed to prevent customers from getting their advertised savings. Can you tell I don’t appreciate the Fred Meyers App?

Great Time saving, search needs improvements. This is great and easy to use,. Service has been nothing but great. Two improvements that would make me give this 5 stars. 1. nutritional/ingredients info is missing from many of the products. As a family with food allergies this is challenging and I find myself having to google the info when it should be on the app or just not buying the item I cant confirm 2. Search can be poor. Searching for tofu dogs but they only come up if I search by the brand or trying to find fresh herbs that I know are carried at the store will not come up at all no matter how I search for them. This has happened many times I’m trying to find certain safe products I have bought at the store before (again allergies

Too frustrating to use!. I just spent 20 minutes building my shopping list. On my way to Freddie’s the app logged me out and I was unable to log back in, losing my list completely. My time was completely wasted! I think this is the straw that is going to make me delete this app from my phone. The thing that makes this app unusable for me is that I have to be connected to the internet to use it. My connection while inside the store (via cellular) is terrible, as is the WiFi service inside the store. I have to take the time to open the app and access my shopping list outside the store where my cellular connection is better. And today, getting logged out and not being able to log in again was ridiculous. This app would be awesome if it wasn’t so buggy and frustrating (and this fact, in itself, is frustrating). I love being able to build my shopping list and that it sorts by isle. I love finding coupons and loading them on my Fred Meyer Card. But, honestly, whenever I used this app I get so frustrated and angry and life is too short to get angry over technology. So it’s getting deleted.

Tried out curbside pickup.. never again. Received a coupon to try out Fred Meyer curb service, thought why not? While placing my order discounts were not showing up on my total being billed, had to place a call with customer service to be told that the discount will be taken after I agree to pay the non-discounted amount, really ? Went to pickup the order in the time slot I had chosen. Called the number on the sign and was told that it would a bit as there customers ahead of me. After 15 minutes of waiting I called nicely to ask if I could just come in and pick up the groceries but was told they weren’t pulled yet.. now I felt trapped... after a total of 20 minutes my order arrived but with complications, my main course for dinner, pre seasoned and cooking bag roast beef had been substituted with pork. Really ? Contained in the rest of my order were the vegetables for the pot roast which afe now worthless with the pot roast .. total failure ..I will give credit to I believe the manager for pickup he was trying but the program itself is a complete failure. So an hour and a half wasted with ordering , driving and waiting in the car and now I need to go shopping again to get what I originally ordered for dinner .. “fool me once “...

Slight but important discrepancies bet app & website (edited). On the app (specifically regarding ClickList) there are regular and consistent discrepancies regarding unavailable items. The app shows that items are not avail at my location, but on the website they are...and they ARE in the store because I usually think of two or three things on the way there, so I look for the “unavailable” ones. This is not a timing of restocking issue, either- it is consistent. Other than that, the app is fine, but for me, this aspect is one that practically circumvents the entire reason for making ClickList convenient. Please fix to make this 5-Star :) (Edit: the website and app differences are less [ie better], but for whatever reason, sometimes the app flakes out during checkout and cannot process payment. It’s extremely frustrating and renders the entire process of using ClickList worthless. This hasn’t happened for a few weeks, but when it does, it changes my entire day significantly.)

Misguided App. I rarely write a bad review, however it needs to be clear to the Kroger group that is responsible for this app that they’ve failed. This app doesn’t actually want to make the experience faster, easier, or more enjoyable. Example: I want to use the pickup service. When I use the app, and select pickup as a filter, I am still receiving more delivery only options. I had to go through 5 screens (yeah, I scrolled down 5 screen lengths of wrong items) for it to offer what I actually wanted. Also, there is no way to just shop for pickup. Any search has to be refined to the hot mess I mentioned above. If I go to a category, again it has to be selected over and over. Why can’t I just shop and get items that are for pickup only? And while we are at it, green onions can’t be in the pickup list? Only delivery? Come on, that’s just silly folks. The delivery only items list seems arbitrary or an attempt to get me to use that service. So yeah, I struggle to find the items I actually want amidst the stuff you want to have delivered. If I wanted delivery and it would be convenient then I would select that. Why let me select how I want to receive my order but inundate me with delivery only items? Why not consider real shoppers opinions when you build the app? I’m sure you have folks who think it’s great. Just make it simple and straight forward to use and I would too. Wish I could mark it 0 stars.

App Needs a Lot of Improvenent. Should only be one screen to select, review, add comments, allow substations, then the next for payment. This app takes a long time to search for something to add. In fact it spins so long my cell phone screen goes dark thinking I’m not using my cell phone. In addition, it did not keep my chosen timeframe and did not allow an option to change after ordering back to my chosen time. Overall, this app is too clunky to use as it takes too much time to load my items and work through the app for payment. That’s why I normally do my own shopping in store. As it is now, I had to re-work an important appointment in the afternoon to do it at a different time to be able to do the ClickList pick up at the app’s chosen time. Not ideal at all. Overall, must improve please.

Wants to control financial information. Requires a stored credit card to make a purchase making all customers vulnerable to having FredMeyer hacked like so many others. Ridiculous they won’t allow a more secure one time online purchase where they are not storing credit card information in a way that make customers more vulnerable. Using need for food during COVID illness to take control of peoples financial information. If I could go purchase in person without risk of infecting others I would. I should not have to store a Credit Card on file. FredMeyer basically says give us access to your financial information or you and your pets can starve, you have to add a credit card instead of just being able to make a one time purchase. I just need a one time purchase not have you keep my credit card on file for hackers to access more easily. I am very unhappy and feeling manipulated because you know you customer are in dire need and this type of access is all that is available.

Great app, needs one major improvement. When ordering delivery or pick up-ESPECIALLY delivery-there needs to be options for what you’d like in place for substitutes. I know there is a text box, but it’s easier for the person doing the shopping and the person it’s for if you can select and exact item, if not multiple choices in the event if them being unavailable. But besides that, the app is very useful and navigable. I would like to be able to see the items when I search them where they are located in the store-like which aisle exactly they would be in in my local store, as some other local store apps do that. Hopefully we see these improvements eventually but otherwise this app is very great, you can get what you need and find items with ease.

Needs some updated features. This is a great app for ordering for pick up later. The issue I have with this app is that Fred Meyer sends me so many paper coupons and I should be able to scan the coupon and add it to the app (like I can with bed bath and beyond) so I don’t have to carry around a bunch of paper. I almost think that they do that on purpose because most likely you’re not going to use a paper coupon or carry it around so you most likely won’t use the coupon they send you. Another thing that I don’t like about this app is that it often crashes. I was just trying to sign up for Kroger pay and got halfway through and then it just told me to try back again later. It happens with other functions on the app and it’s really annoying and a waste of my time.

Customer Service/Missing Items needs HELP. I like this app when it comes to shopping aspect, it’s clear and easy to use. However if you have any issues with your groceries there is no clear way of getting it fixed. Most apps with delivery service immediately ask you if your order was good, what did you like about the experience and if you’re missing any items. With this app I had to call Kroger to get it reimbursed because half of my order was missing. I was given no case number, I was told there would be credit given to my account, there isn’t even a place to go in the app to check if that credit has been issued. I went to Fred Meyers and because the delivery is a courier not owned by Fred Meyers, they can’t even help you with the issue. I’ve messaged instacart and let them know the issue to which I’ve had no reply. Companies that don’t have streamline communication between all carriers are super frustrating, they purposefully make it difficult for us to sort out issues and it gives them all a loophole so they don’t have to take the blame.

Love this. I love using the ClickList service! However, the app could continue to be tweaked for better service. It works better on different devices. I'd like to order on my phone, but that is the most problematic way with the app. I typically use my iPad, but even then, I can't uncheck "allow substitutions", unless I want to uncheck all my items. I should be able to select individual items that I'm ok with a substitution, but the only option I have is all or nothing. Also, I see that the app is finally saving my "special instructions" on items that I order all the time. However, I'm not sure that the people who collect my items in the store actually see those special instructions unless they go looking for them. It's been hit or miss, and I'm told that my special instructions don't automatically show for those who are putting my order together. Overall, this app and service is an amazing time and lifesaver. I love being able to drive up and load a huge order of groceries into my car, while keeping all my young kids in the car, all within about 10 minutes.

Convenient idea needs more work. I am very grateful to be able to order online and pick up at no charge, and the staff are always available and happy to help over the phone if there is a problem. But so many system improvements are needed to make the process more efficient. Often there is info missing or the links don’t work-the coupon doesn’t show up, the price is wrong/sale prices haven’t been updated, the search doesn’t locate the item even when it is available, the ingredients or nutrition info is missing and the picture of them is missing or unreadable. And I have no idea why the nutrition info doesn’t include sugar; very time-consuming to have to search the internet for ingredients and sugar content for so many items. Also, the system doesn’t remember any special instructions or substitution preferences, so it’s time-consuming to re-enter them every time.

Great customer service. I had an issue with my first order. I did not know I needed to wait 24 hours after signing up for Boost before placing an order. I added everything to my cart and tried to order a delivery full of groceries, but I received an error message. I called the customer service number in the morning and the issue was resolved within minutes. Huge thank you to the app designer for placing the customer service phone number right inside the error message. Great design. UPDATE: I have been using this for a month now and I love ❤️ it! I get all my groceries delivered now. I have been able to try new things I’ve never had before because of the easy browsing this app allows. I love the coupons and shopper card features. I’ve had friendly drivers and fast, on-time delivery.

Terrible Experience with Mastercard Gift Card Purchase. I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Fred Meyer store I visited. I purchased a Mastercard gift card with the intention of using it for a special occasion. To my dismay, I never even had the chance to use the card before it began showing unauthorized transactions from other states. This clearly indicates some form of fraud, possibly from within the store itself. What's more concerning is that despite my attempts to reach out for assistance, no one from Fred Meyer has bothered to help me address this issue. The lack of customer support in such a critical situation is truly disheartening. I strongly advise anyone considering shopping at this Fred Meyer location to be cautious, especially when it comes to gift card purchases. The lack of security and support from the store makes it a risky proposition. My trust in this establishment has been shattered, and I hope this review serves as a warning to others.

Could be better. It needs to work on improving the ease of modifying an order. Walmart makes it easy to modify your shopping order. Why is the Walmart app better? For one thing, when you modify an order with Walmart it is easy to indicate your substitution preferences. Fred Meyer makes it hard to indicate substitution preferences on any modification. It’s a clumsier app to work with especially with coupons you can’t use unless you go into the store. Kroger also has this irritating habit of luring customers with attractive sales with highly limited availability. Prime Rib roast was on sale throughout the holidays and I was NEVER able to get it. These Kroger stunts are always protected by "limited quantity." I think they allot one super sale item per store location. It’s their biggest scam. If you try to buy it using the FM app, you will end up with a substitute…the lower grade meat…which I believe was their intention. The other pet peeve is receiving lower grade produce or perishables and products near expiration date whenever you use the app to pick up your groceries. FM could do so much better.

Decent shopping app .....but. Please please please make an update to allow adding current cart of groceries to the current order (if of course the order is far enough out to allow changes). Every time I start trying to add to my upcoming order, I do it wrong. If you just allowed a way to pull in a new “cart” of groceries into an upcoming pickup, it would save so much time! Why should I have to individually search each item I need from the “adjust my order” when it’s all already in my new cart? Please just make your app more user friendly.

Convenient but confusing. I have ordered on here several times but I have had issues every time. The items show coupons but when I check out, it only gave me .50 cents today when there was several coupons. I will try to add things to my cart for pick up and it will show that it’s been added but when I am checking out, the items don’t show up! I wish it didn’t have to be so complicated! The coupons and digital coupons should be automatically credited. I’m getting old and am disabled so it is difficult for me to get out & walk on those hard concrete floors. So, if this service was more user-friendly, I would order more often. It’s a good start but needs work. Thank you

Love pick up. Fred Meyer pick up is quick, easy, smooth and a huge time saver. Over the course of a couple days I add items as I’m thinking about them - so I don’t forget. Clipping coupons is easy and you can easily identify the items that apply to that specific couple and add to your cart from the coupon! Of all the stores that do pick up, Fred Meyer is by far the best. I never have a difficult time getting a time slot that works for my busy schedule and their substitution process is phenomenal! I will go out of my way to use Fred Meyer over any other grocery store pick up.

The Delivery Feature is Okayish. I’m between two different stores and the app doesn’t let me choose the one I prefer, so I’m stuck with the store that never has everything I want and crummy variety. Substitutions are hit and miss, most of the time they give me an item that makes me wonder wth the person who made the possible substitutions list for the shoppers was thinking and if they even understand the products. The app also won’t let me purchase things they’ve had on their shelves for years. So while this app is useful for someone without transportation, it doesn’t eliminate my need to spend an hour walking to the store in the middle of a cold winter to get a few items that the app won’t let me order.

Latest update is full of ads. I update the app and the “improvement” they made for this latest version is to add extra ads for specific products. On every page—coupons, cash back, etc., there are extra ads now for specific products like Starbucks, Coca-Cola, etc. I previously wrote a review about this issue that seems to have been deleted, and the developer responded responded suggesting that I uninstall and reinstall the app. I was very skeptical because that’s not how these things work, but gave it a try anyway. Nope, it’s still full of extra ads. They gave me a customer service phone number to call, but that puts the burden on me, and anyway this isn’t a bug, it’s a feature. Fred Meyer has decided to sell ad space on their app—a new low in my book, and one more reason to avoid shopping there. :(

Aisle locations are back!. Version 49.4.1 ….Better late than never, for sure. So glad to see that Fred Meyer has put the isle locations for grocery items back in the App. For people that are not able to read the signs over the isles or unable to walk around and around and around looking for particular grocery items, Aisle locations is a necessity. All the other store apps have this feature, so I was shocked that Fred Meyer removed it awhile back. Glad to see it back in the app. Developers, please keep this feature in your app. It is such an important feature. Thanks very much. 👍😊

Convenient for on the Go Mom!. I absolutely love being able to jump on my app and within minutes have my grocery list done, allowing me more time on things of importance. I get to pull up and have them delivered into my car and done. No making my way down isles with a stick piled cart, long lines, and loading into my car! It took me awhile to actually do it, but now it’s the only way I shop. Saves so much time. Only downside is relying on employees to select best produce and not give you items with short expiration dates. I’ve had issues with this, but now add “pick longest expiration date” to notes on items and it is better.

Bad app. This is the worst shopping app I have ever used. It is confusing and does not let you readily take items from list to cart without going to a separate picture page. Some items will not let you add them to the cart at all. Very frustrating. There is no way to readily take an item from search to the cart without going through the list. You need to be able to make a new list when you shop and transfer the whole thing to the cart. And you need to be able to take items directly from search to the cart. I would give this zero stars if I could. Because of the difficulty getting item to the cart we usually have to go through this nightmare 3 times before we get it to the cart. Scrap this hole app and start over with someone who is a also a user.

Awful. Poorly designed leading to such confusion that it’s barely useable. Shopping list, cart, pending order, pickup date, add items to list, add items to cart, add items to pickup....on and on. We have a pick up date time set but on the home page at the bottom it says “Pickup April —-“ which is different than the date we scheduled. You’d think that your pickup date has been changed but oh no, it is meant to indicate that this is the next pickup date available for anyone. The difference between “cart” and “shopping list”? Have no idea. How to find and add to the list of items that you added to your cart that you will pickup on the date you thought you’d scheduled? No idea. Confused about what I’m saying? You get the picture. Auggggg.

Not as convenient as it could be. Unable to save favorites very inconvenient. Difficult to find items on the search bar. Example: When I type in hemp milk nothing comes up but when you dig through lists and lists of items you can finally find many options to purchase for hemp milk. Difficulty finding many items that I know are in the location I am picking up from. Ridiculous that certain items aren’t available for pick up. They only allow in store purchase!!! The items/reason doesn’t make sense at all. I can purchase “tempt unsweetened original hemp milk” for pick up but the same brand unsweetened vanilla is not available for pick up, in store purchase only. I don’t like being jerked around as a paying consumer. I have used these apps through other grocers and not had so many issues.

Could be easier. While I really like the concept and am probably going to enjoy the convenience of pickup even more, it took way too long to generate an order. It timed out or said to come back later, I missed the pickup window I want and have to delay pickup for a day now, issues with passwords and issues with the mobile app. I decided I’d complete the order online instead of the app but my order online only had 23 items in it and I had updated to 63 items and made multiple changes. The app and the online carts should match once a simple refresh has taken place. Very frustrating overall but I’ve heard good things from friends so I persevered. I’m hopeful everything goes well with pick up as well as accuracy of the order.

Ellensburg Fred Meyer Store. I have been shopping at this store almost exclusively for 15 years. In the past year, I have watched it steadily go downhill. The bulk foods section no longer carries staple products like almonds, walnuts, and dried fruits...but has been replaced by strange things like dried plantains. And then there's the check out stands. Only 2 are open at a time, forcing me to use the self check, which is next to impossible with my 3 year old autistic son. I'm not paid to ring up my own groceries..that's what you have store employees for! Then there's the guy who stands at the end of the check stands and bags my items...for 30 seconds, and disappears. Did he take a potty break? Do I wait for him? Am I supposed to bag my own groceries now too?!? Come on Fred Meyer, you can do a whole lot better than this!! I know you can, because you used to be my favorite store.

A huge help. We’ve used this service for two years. My recent purchases are compiled into a list that makes my ‘shopping’ experience quick and crowd-free. Only twice have I received an item that was not what I intended to order...and it would have been a breeze to return if I cared enough too. The employees actually read the instructions you give them, which helps when you are trying to order something not listed in the website. They never fail to understand what I’m actually looking for. Each week it takes me 20-30 minutes total to ‘shop’ then pick up. This is a huge time-saver!

Thanks Fred Meyer for making delivery possible.. My husband and I are seniors, 73, who are staying at home as our governor requested. Being able to shop and have food and supplies delivered is a relief to us! We ordered our second order today, and once we understood the steps involved, it was great! Plus, every item we ordered was delivered with care. I realize that some items aren’t available unless we come to the store. Luckily, we have family in town that can help pick up these necessities. I mainly am writing this review to thank all the people at Frey Meyer who have kept our food supply safe and easily accessible to everyone. Thank you for remaining there for all of your customers!

Dysfunctional Pickup Feature - Letting Disabled Customers Down. I am disabled and it’s hard for me to go to the store, so I rely mainly on pickup which is an amazing feature. However, I have not been able to order anything for pickup using this app, because there continues to be an error message every time I try to check out. Very frustrating. I typically end up giving up and just going in person, which takes a huge toll on my health and essentially defeats the purpose of the app. Due to fatigue, I am not able to shop as long as most people can and consequently am not able to get every item that I need. This problem would be solved by a functional pickup feature. Fred Meyer, if you want people (disabled or not) to be able to spend more money and buy more things at your store, please fix this app!! Thank you.

Almost unusable. Every update of this app makes it worse. Coupon searches come up empty even when standing in the store looking at a coupon prompt, and then selected coupons don’t appear in my list. Adding them again results in an error because they were loaded even though invisible. I am not interested in online shopping or click list and it is annoying to have to dismiss those to get to a simple shopping list page. The app saves a lot of money so I will continue to use it but won’t enjoy the experience. The coupons don't show upu what product they're for unless you click on them. The display text is "Simple Truth..." but that could be heavy cream or skin cream for all you can tell. A simple LIST of the products with coupons available would be far more useful.

Love it, but needs work.. I love the convince of shopping through a grocery app so I’m not having to drag my kids through the store. It is also great that they load your groceries for you, so I don’t have to load my groceries in extreme weather while my children suffer in a cold or hot car. The first time I used grocery pick up it was 10 degrees, today in the summer it has reached 104 degrees. TOTALLY WORTH IT! However there are a few bugs to work out; After adding items to your “grocery list” there is usually a button to transfer them to your “cart”. Sometimes the button is not there so you have to select each item and add it separately. This is troublesome when you have more than $300 in groceries on your list.

Pick up service. This service is terrific! To be able to order fresh vegetables, frozen or hot foods and bring the order to the car, makes my shopping so much easier and is really what I’ve been looking for. I used this service last week and picked up orders for my mom and myself. The person that brought out the groceries had the orders bagged in closed containers. He was personable, he smiled, (which was nice) and he made sure the orders were separated. I have a bad back and before, by the time I found all the items needed and loaded them into the handicapped “electric car”, my back was screaming. Besides that, sometimes the little cars would lose their charge before I’d completed my shopping. Very frustrating especially when you have this happen consecutively for at least three of your shopping trips. To everyone that shopped for the items and for the young man that kindly loaded the car, I thank you!! For Fred Meyers for having this service, I commend you! Thank you!

Pretty intuitive. Works pretty well but imo would be vastly improved by: 1. Retaining the substitution preferences and notes from order to order as I write the same directions almost every time and guessing others do too. 2. Make search field available in every tab - it’s currently available only on the home page or once you have selected a category on the shop page. The problem is once you’ve selected a category (such as pantry) it only searches the database within ‘pantry’. If the item you’re looking for is in another database, say ‘breakfast’, it won’t find it.

Cashier Olivia. I was shopping at the Freddy’s on Sprague, Spokane WA when I was in “Olivia” line the gentleman ahead of me tried to scan his card and asked her if it worked not once but 3 times. She never responded to him or acknowledged him. When she finished ringing him up he again asked if it took his card, handing it to her of which she scanned it finally for him. All the while she was looking elsewhere. So it’s my turn and I put my 13 items on the belt with my Freddy’s card on top of a few items so she will scan it. She finished and gave me my total and I asked if she scanned my card……she said I never gave her my card. I told her it was on top of my items since the prior customer was not able to scan it. She looked under the flat prior to produce scale and at the end. No card…..again she didn’t receive it. I had to request a new card. Basically this young lady is not meant for customer service.

The app is severely broken and if you need help with anything… Good luck.. This app is absolutely atrocious and if you’re considering using Fred Meyer Boost, don’t. Instacart is the same price and their customer service is waaay better. I tried making one order and thought it was cool that they let you use coupons… Except those coupons don’t apply half the time even when you select items directly from the coupon page. And then when I did get my order, I got charged for things I didn’t order that were “substitutions” for other things in my order except… I didn’t order anything like it?? And then I got charged for multiples of products. If I bought 2, I got charged for 3. So I figured no big deal, I’ll go to customer service. I hate talking to humans so I figured I’d use the chat option. After being slow and unreliable, and having to try 5 times, I’m finally able to address just the 1 weird substitution I didn’t order. It was 2 bottles of Mountain Dew. It offered to add $4 to my account. The bottles were $2.29 each so they would still keep 60 cents. I said no. It ended the conversation. Great… Gonna have to call during regular business hours.

Love Fred Meyer and this app!. I use this app to prepare my grocery list every week. I add items to my list and use that when I shop - it even tells me what aisle the items are in and what my total bill (without coupons) will be! I can even add items to my list directly from the in-app ad, which I can see the minute it comes out! I love that Freddy’s puts their weekly ad out on Wednesdays now instead of Sundays. I also load coupons to my rewards card, and add items to my list directly from the in-app coupon. I also love that I can see what my rewards are in the app! No more guessing! This app is so helpful to me for planning my shopping trips and staying within my grocery budget. Thank you!!

App is junk. I try to sign in and the “Sign In” button turns gray but never actually signs in. I have tried closing out of the app completely and then opening it back up, made sure there were no updates, etc. First time I have done drive up in probably a year and the app reminded me why I had switch to a different grocer for drive up. I did by order from a computer so I cannot rate online shopping through the app but seeing as how I cannot even log in to the app, I wouldn’t have been able to shop through the app anyway. Feel bad for the employees that won’t know we are on our way and am annoyed I will have to wait twice as long as they gather our things because we cannot give them a heads up. I will go back to using the other grocery store chain for drive up.

Pick Up Option Needs Some Work. I have ordered using this app multiple times now and genuinely thought I was crazy because items would turn up missing multiple times however they wouldn’t show up on my receipt or my past purchases. I finally found all these missing items in the “ship” section, even though when I added the items to my cart they would say they were available for pickup. There needs to be a better way of reorganizing those items as out of stock to let the buyer know and not just shove them into an obscure ship tab that many of us don’t use or see. Since we don’t unpack the groceries until we get home we often don’t know of this issue which results in a second trip out when we would try to get it done in one if we could.

Meh. I was surprised that this app was not as intuitive as it should be for a shopper. You cannot shop by category or by isle. Attempting to utilize the search box does not find what you are looking for half of the time. I made the decision to try Fred Meyer for my weekly pick up shopping because I thought the quality of some of the products would be better but not enough to make up for how incumbent it was. The competitor I have been using not only allows you to shop by category/isle, it’s also FREE unlike the 4.95 I would end up paying through here. The competitor also allows you to “check in” from the app when you are on your way to pick up your order and tracks you so people just bring your groceries out when you arrive. I would expect more from a company like Fred Meyer.

Good app just glitchy. I think the app has gone along way. I don’t like the fact that a lot of things need to be purchased in stores and can’t be purchased through the app. When I mean super glitchy I mean that you can’t really talk into the app and it dictate things it kind of places things in there for you that aren’t really there or it doubles up on what you’re trying to look for. The app really needs to narrow down what you’re looking for as well. If you type in Popsicles it gives you stuff you’ve recently ordered that weren’t Popsicles. When you’re looking for something very specific it gives you other selections that you didn’t ask for.

Used to Be Great. This last update has removed the option for me to remove all checked items from my shopping list while leaving in place items I wasn't able to find at the store. Sometimes I'm just not able to get everything I had on my list, but I don't want to be forced to delete the stuff I still need just because it wasn't in stock when I happened to be at the store. Also while I'm shopping and checking off items as I put them in my cart, the list now auto-scrolls to the top. Why?? I just want to get in and out of the store quickly without having to spend extra time messing around with the app. Wish list: Please allow me to scan the coupons I get in the mail into the app. Or better yet, just load them into the app!

Overall good, with some problems. Overall, I like the app. I wish they’d fix this, though. You often you can’t see what the “deal”items are without clicking on the actual coupon. Safeway manages to make the icons big enough that you can make out the product, but Fred Meyer’s are too small to see on a phone. Thanks for your reply. One thing you can do is remove the dollar amount from the text below the item. The cost is already listed in the item display above it, so it doesn’t need to be repeated right below. If you did that it would allow enough real estate to maybe show the rest of the name of the product. I was going to attach a photo, but I don’t see where to do that.

Room for improvement. Want to like this app but my online order is just never correct. The number of times I have been told an item isn’t available but then go into the store and find it right away is annoyingly high. Also requesting the use of paper bags the way I have been told to by employees only to get all plastic multiple times has also been an issue. I have never actually gotten any paper bags when requested even once. Maybe an option for bag type could be put into the ordering system? I will say the pick up system is working well. I haven’t had to wait for long periods after I arrive and tell them my spot number.

Best service ever!. I’ve tried online grocery shopping go the past and found the ordering process confusing and difficult. Fred meyer’s click list is amazing! All of your past orders (including in store) are saved so you can easily find your most frequently purchased items. Searching for items is also easy. You can even select a section like produce and just Peruse the pictures as if you were walking up and down the aisles, and click on things you want to buy. It’s a very enjoyable experience. The first time I did it I told myself I would never step inside a grocery store again. The convenience and ease is addicting.

Disappointed! Items show “In-stock”, but NOT available. This app is well-done, attractive, easy to navigate and should be very useful. However Its usefulness is limited by the inaccuracy of the database. We used the app to order from the Corvallis OR store for pickup. Ordered last night and picked up this afternoon. About a third of the items available to order were not filled: “out-of-stock”; but when I check the app they still show as available. In this age of electronic cash registers, shouldn’t the app be able to access “real-time” inventory?

Mixed Results. This app is such a mixed experience for me. At home, I love searching the coupons and deals. I rarely worry about clipping coupons because the app usually has what I need and I can load the digital coupons to my loyalty card. I love the Free Friday coupons and often get to sample something new with them. However, the app never works for me when I’m actually in the store. If I want to check the details of a coupon I loaded to my card, it won’t work, it just stalls. If I want to search for new coupons in store, same thing. This happens every time! I’m connected to WiFi, I can load web pages and other apps run fine, but for some reason this app doesn’t ever work in store. I had the exact same experience when I shopped at Fry’s, which is also run by Kroger.

Unable to place pick-up order. I couldn’t complete a pickup order due to unresolved “unknown error has occurred” prior to the payment step after selecting a pickup date and store after numerous attempts over several hours. I had to move my order to delivery which proceeded to the payment step without issue. Not sure if the error was caused by higher than normal user traffic or if there was an issue with information that was entered, but no prompts were given besides the “unknown error has occurred, try again later” message. My network connection and account information were verified and logging out and back in on the app and navigating to new pages and then back to the checkout screen did not resolve the issue.

What I use it for, it works. I am a little specific for my needs, but for those things I need it works. I’ve been going to two Freddy’s for 30 years. I don’t need lists or saving pages; I know that stuff. On rare evens I can’t find very specific items and as a search-and-find it works fine. The other I use is the Pharmacy… originally that was simple and awkward and didn’t work well between the pharmacy and my doctor, but the new version is a GREAT assist, since it does reminders, lets you know when it’s ready, and why something it taking longer than expected (that my be with my doctor, who is very stringent). So as a occasionally-needed map and as a pharmacy tool, it works great.

The app itself is fine but…. The App itself is fine but they need to stop updating/changing things that don’t need to be touched. I don’t need to create a million different lists, just one grocery list. Please remove these options as it’s adding unnecessary steps that I need to take just to open a list. I want to click on list and have it immediately open up as it did before. Stop filling the app with useless time consuming things. Remove create list from cart, remove the active list, and simply go back to having the one. Also, your stores need to do a better job of updating the company with the proper isles that things are on. None of my shopping items were located down the pale numbers listed in the app. It made shopping incredibly difficult.

Love this app and the whole service!. This is a great service, especially for busy working parents! There’s only a few things that would make it more helpful: categorizing all the dairy items together, meat/seafood together, etc. For example, I ordered a gallon of milk and some packaged lunchmeat and they were together in a category called “dairy” which doesn’t make sense to me. The other part that would make it better is to allow placement i to a cart from the weekly ad. Most of the items only allow for placement on the list and not directly to a cart. But aside from the small categorization and weekly ad issues this is a wonderful tool to use and it’s otherwise easy to place orders.

My experience of using the Pick up option at Fred Meyer’s. With this pandemic I ordered groceries via instacart. The produce was terrible, the paper bags left at my door were very torn. I could not pick them up. So I have ordered on line for pick up about 5-6 times now. It is fantastic! Yrs, there are some things I order but can not get, and there are some substitutions. But I get a text in advance of going to pick up the order so I can respond if it is acceptable to me or not. The staff is always pleasant and ask if I have any coupons which I sometimes forget about when I shop in used to shop in person. I really am thankful for the Fred Meyer and their staff for doing this for free!

Just a “fine” app. I use the app entirely for curbside pickup. I really wish the search showed you the options for the item you actually searched for at the top of the list, rather than an intermingling of loosely related things. A filter by price option would be useful. Don’t show items that are delivery only if I’m set to pickup mode. It would also be great to be able to add items up until the time the shopper has started shopping. It’s odd that I get a message saying my order is ready to pick up, but I’m unable to signal that I’ve arrived if I’m there earlier than my pickup window. Maybe I was spoiled by HEB but their app was everything I wanted, could be cool if the if the developers at Kroger took a look at them for some best practices.

This is the way to go and I have suggestion. Fred Meyer ordering online is fantastic and I’m very impressed with curbside pickup. I’d like to make a suggestion though. In addition to categories to browse through online, it would be very helpful to have sub categories. One example would be in the frozen food category. If I’m only interested in frozen dinners and I want to browse all of the dinner manufacturers , I have to also scroll thru ice cream, pizza, veges, fruit, desserts and I think it was over 2000 items. That takes a lot of time and is frustrating. If sub categories were there it be much more user friendly. Each category would benefit to be broken down more.

Crashes almost every time. While I think the app is great to have, it crashes about 95% of the time. I’ve actually never experienced this with any other app so consistently and over such a long amount of time (been going on for well over a year now). Also, for ordering from click list, it’d be great if I could build my order prior to choosing a pick up time and date. My shopping lists would be much larger if I didn’t feel stressed by a time limit and could fill my cart at my own pace. Even if I choose tomorrow as my pick up, it gives me anxiety. Especially since I’m newer to using click list.

Order pick up. I’m new to Order pick-up and am finding it pretty sweet to send in my order and let someone else do the shopping. That being said, there is a learning curve to figuring out how to shop via my electronic device. I found that the customer service desk is not in the know to give advice. The person’s who bring the groceries to the car have been very helpful and pleasant. Also those who have done my shopping have done a very good job. Thank you for making this experience Exceptional. I only gave it 4 stars because I’m the weak link in learning how to maneuver getting my list ordered.

Clicklist on phone—awesome! But needs access to complete store!. Yay! So glad Clicklist can now work WITH my grocery list! I love the new update except for one thing. I can only add what I’ve purchased before. For example, I went on the main search bar to look for “mangos.” Because I haven’t ordered them recently, it showed up with “no items available.” Several other items were the same way, and I noticed that the ONLY items that show up in the search bar are ones on sale or that I have purchased in the past. It’s almost perfect guys! Just add the whole store’s items to the search feature and you’ll be there—and you’ll probably make more money off of me in the process! ;) Win win!

Switch to Walmart!. This new app is ridiculous!! The way they changed it has made it so I switched to Walmart for all my online shopping. For one it’s free.. BONUS. But they’re app I can shop by departments instead of having to type and search every item I need. I have 3 kids and a busy life. It’s easier for me to be able to shop at home at night and be able to look at each department to shop. I was always a Fred Meyer shopper and only shopped with them! Then was so happy with clicklist! But the new update you have has made me and my family and friends ALL switch to Walmart. The layout is amazing. I can search any dept I need from produce to even lunch-box must haves. Even house hold items. It’s like I’m walking through the store from my phone. So disappointed in whoever thought this new update was better. And from reading other reviews I’m not alone at thinking you’re tech people are morons!!!

Needs improvements. I like the ideas of what it’s trying to be able to accomplish but execution isn’t working. Searching in coupons doesn’t work. I tried by brand and food type such as cookies, chips, etc. but why should I have to search for a coupon at all? It’s advertised in the weekly ad and I’m able to add that item to my list, so why do I have to go search for the coupon you are advertising in another section of the app? One click just like “add to list” would be logical. Admittedly this complaint may have nothing to do with the app itself, but I’ve found I can never use the app within Fred Meyer stores (I’ve tried in 3) because their WiFi is so bad. I have to disconnect from WiFi, go to the app and download coupons, then hopefully remember to connect to WiFi again when I’m done shopping (unfortunately I often forget this step and I use data for days).

Worst shopping app. In the coupons… you can’t just scan a digital deal and get the digital deal. You have to find it in the app, and the search for specific items whether brand or item type category, regularly does not work. I was simply looking for a digital deal for butter and I couldn’t find it in the app; I couldn’t find it by searching for butter or by the brand name and coupons. It’s absolutely infuriating. Also you go to see “all coupons“And regularly I don’t see all coupons. And, when I do see coupons the images are so tiny you can’t even tell what it’s for, and they write such a full description of the item you can’t even read it until you go to a separate page. Regularly I can also not get to this app within the store because of some weird Wi-Fi blocking in their system

Prescription Issues. Ever since the latest update I am only getting the occasional notification for the prescriptions that are ready. Extremely hit or miss. Over the past month or two I have been able to hide the prescriptions but when I log back in they are no longer hidden. Also, In the past week, despite receiving the occasional notification the readied prescriptions are not showing as being ready in the app and don’t even appear in the entire list of prescriptions. I’m becoming more and more aggravated with this because I am constantly having to call the pharmacy to check on prescriptions and go without my prescriptions longer than necessary. Please fix this. I would also like to add that in the Fred Meyer stores I do not receive reception despite being connected to WiFi so the in-store function of app does not work at all.

App is complex, it’s hard to find cart. The best thing about this app is personalization. If you have a loyalty card it will already know the items you buy frequently, which you can select from. The worst thing about the app is it’s overly complex. I expect a LOT of people will give up on it. Many of the features are confusing and opaque. It needs WAY better navigation. It’s also odd that the Fred Meyer and Kroger apps are nearly identical except for the list/cart buttons at the bottom right. A/B testing, perhaps? It makes no sense. Finally, the placement of “Featured” items in categories (items that brands have paid to advertise, I assume) needs to be more considered. When searching in the electronics category, it makes no sense to serve multiple ads for Raid bug repellent products at the top of search results. That’s a terrible user experience.

No real time connection to local store. Decided to try this app since I had a great experience using the WalMart app for grocery pick up but my first time using the app was a disappointment. I ordered items and paid for them through app and set up time to pick them up. When I arrived at store the items I ordered were out of stock and more expensive items were substituted. The associate at the store told me there is no real time communication from the store about items in stock to the app. When I use the WalMart app they are able to tell in real time which items are in stock and tell me BEFORE I get to the store if an item is out of stock. Also, they don’t allow substitutions for alcohol. I was charged almost twice for the substitutions then when I tried to return the items I was told there wasn’t a way to give me a receipt of any kind to show I returned the items. I won’t be using this service again.

Only one big flaw. I love love love ordering my groceries online and overall like the functionality of the app - with one major exception: I cannot adjust the quantity ordered without clicking in to the item...it would be far more efficient/easy/user-friendly/nice to be able to add item to cart AND select/adjust the quantity at the same screen without having to either a) click in to the item, select add to cart, and adjust quantity, or b) add all items to cart, then go to shopping cart and go through each item, clicking in to the ones I want more than one on and adjusting the quantity. Once they get that feature figured out, shopping at Freddy’s may be the best part of my week. 😁

Mostly love it but quirky. Sometimes the app experiences errors and cannot process. It’s misleading in that the app tells you that but it appears your items are loading to your cart just fine, until you try to check out and nothing is there! I also sometimes have difficulty adding comments. I’ll try to type in the box on my smart phone and it auto scrolls to the bottom. I have to do it like five times in order to be able to type or edit what I’ve written, but it doesn’t always happen. I like adding my coupons and being able to make a selection right away by clicking on it and seeing the options. That way I don’t forget about my coupons.

Please wait! Fred Meyer app comments loading...
