Love the game but.... Every time I exit the game completely it doesn't save my character. Which means I have to start new every time. Black coins and all it's like it just resets everything. Kind of annoying...

Please update so I can play or I’ll be sad. I love this game I would play it for hours but I’m sad because I can’t play it because it needs to update to iOS 11

Addictive. I can't stop playing this deceptively simple action RPG. Highly recommended for fans of the old Zelda games or anyone looking for a dungeon crawler. I was always hesitant to download this to my iPhone because the screenshots make it appear as though it doesn't fill the screen but it does for me on the iPhone 6.

Deleted saves. This update deleted my characters. Twice I put black coins on a toon and both times they were deleted. This is one of my favorite mobile games, but I can't play it if my toons are perma deathed for no reason.

Amazing. This game, is one of the best 8-bit style games I've played in a long time and with the Dlc update makes is 100X better. Keep up the good work :)

DANGER DANGER!!!!. Hahah! You looked! It's a great game. I like the little things added that were missing on the PC. But what would be cool would be an option menu so I can have a small analog stick to control my guy. And a button to for magic/shield. An OPTION so everyone that does not like does not have to use it ^_^ that happens and I'll give 5 stars. Maybe even buy some coins if I could.

Searching for the best Dungeon Crawler Game?. Short answer: you found it. I've been playing this for nearly a year. The controls are so smooth, the levels progress at a steady, but rewarding pace. The aesthetic of the game is top knot here. Thank you Tom Heinecke and to everyone behind bit dungeon!

Why tap to move Controls?. I hate having to touch a spot every time I want to move... It makes the game Diablo-like but all you see is your hand covering up the screen. Plus it makes the game difficult to play unless you rest your iPad on your lap or a table. PLEASE MAKE A VIRTUAL JOYSTICK... I feel it would be perfect for this game. Add an ATK and BLK button, and there you go.

AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEE but...... Awesome game actually a fantastic one but when I play say I die and I'm on level two when I get to level two it says it's saving but when I die game over I have to start all over again! There should be a save button and a pause one because this games do addicting my dads always yelling to get me off so make a pause and save button

RPG games are my personal favorite!. I used to play this on PC but now I can play it anywhere I want to! It sometimes does not save but not very often. You can keep playing over and over again, each time getting new weapons and armor. I recommend this game 😜

Save function…again.... dropped to one star, as with a recent update I have stumbled upon a bug that drives me crazy. If i do not complete a dungeon fully (specifically after dungeon level 10) and close the app (it's still running in the background) If I open it some time later I am greeted with the title screen and a wonderful message letting me know that I need to start a new game… this happens frequently, and has made me delete the game. please fix.

Rather poor game.. I disregarded the negative reviews in hope of a misunderstood game. I was disappointed. The skill requires for this game is about the same as it takes to feed a goldfish. Or less. You tap the screen constantly with no opportunity for finesse. The item system delighted me as I'm always eager for upgrades and such, but otherwise the game is a dud. Visuals are akin to Binding of Isaac, gameplay is akin to poking yourself in the eye.

Stick with the Flash Version. First off, let me say that the flash version of this game is absolutely great. Unfortunately it looses it's charm in the IOS version. I feel like they've down played the looting and made stronger weapons a lot harder to come by so that they can make money on black coins. It also feels clunky in its running. It's just no where as near satisfying as the version you find on the net for free.

Amazing!!!. This game is a super addicting roguelike game. Its like zelda but with items like diablo. The controls are perfect for Ipad, and it has a very satisfying combat system. This is a must have!

Awesome Game. I lost my coins/character when I reinstalled the game (following the dev's advice to do a fresh reinstall for this update), but I don't mind it so much considering you can gain coins rather fast! The new enemies/boss is rather difficult, even for me who has beaten the game several times over previous to this patch! The difficulty is refreshing, and I guess it teaches you to put some points into HP eventually rather than stacking just one stat. Looking forward to seeing what else is new!

Fun, save system broken. Fun game, but it doesn't save any more. Kind of a bummer when you play 30 minutes then are expected to start back at square 1. It's more fun at the higher levels. To clarify, it only doesn't save when the app has to restart if you haven't run it in a while. This is a serious error and makes the game significantly less fun. If it saved properly, this game would be an easy 5/5.

Love it but...... Every time i die i have to start over. Its still an amazing game and well worth the small price they are asking for.😄

In App Purchases Ruined This. If it were not for in app purchases this rating would be a 5, but this one thing ruined it. To whoever thought it was a good idea to add this crap, you are everything that's wrong with mobile gaming

Cool. Its fun to play. But i last about 30 minutes before getting bored. If you die you restart, i dont mind but it kinda freezes every now and then. Probly just me but yeah.

Great!. I would like to see extra game modes and more purpose. There just isn't really any depth to it but it is still amazing.

Fun game, doesn't know how to save properly. The game is a lot of fun to play, and has some solid controls. Unfortunately, the creator's idea of a save game is so anger-inducing. If you die (from not spending real money on fake coins to buy lives) you get sent all the way back to the start of the game, not the last place the game claims to have saved (at the start of each level). This gauntlet-style gaming is thoroughly unexpected. I'm just glad I didn't spend any more real money to buy armor or things that I would just lose when I died.

1 of my fav games!!!. Bit dungeon is a great game but please fix the frame skip that occurs when the music loops and when entering through doors

Amazing game, but will it be updated?. This and the second one are my 2 favourite mobile games. They are so engaging, and the monsters are super fun to battle. Will this ever be updated so people will be able to play it again on the newest IOS update?

Multiplayer. I think it could use a update for bugs and crash fixes and it could be better if added multiplayer on local or game center or both it would be amazing

I don't know what these people are talking about. This is a gem. I fell in love with this game the second I started playing. The music, the challenge, the enemies, controls, even mixing magic and armor set buffs. this game is AMAZING and worth every penny. Can't wait to see what's next. Great Job man :)

Great game.. I love this game. Super fun. Wish it had optional virtual joystick control. Ipad controls work great. iPhone is hard to control. The panning becomes hard to control. Wish this game would update for 64 bit.

Pretty good game. I like this game a lot, but I think it would be much better if there was a pause screen, and controls over sound and music. Also, fix the chests so they pick up more easily. Make instructions as well so that people know about the spirit world.

Nice. I bought and played this game a lot a while ago with no lag or anything. Now It resparked my interest but it seems to lag and freeze up at random points for no reason. A fix for this would be really appreciated, otherwise very fun game, wish youd return to working on it. Also - a major problem is the innability to exit the coin buying menu. Thats just tricking people and wrong.

I love this game. Love it. Great game. Addicting rouge like dungeon diving. Reminds of Zelda dungeons. Originally a pc game, the movement mechanics work perfect for touch devices. At some point in the past it stopped working because of the 64bit change to iOS. Glad I never deleted this game so I was reminded that I had it (even though it didn’t work). The devs finally updated it!!! So happy again. Thanks!!!!!

Awesome. Awesome game guys! It would be even better with 4 player multiplayer. The monsters are cool, and each and every dungeon randomized and unique. The use of retro graphics is amazing.

Doesn't actually save. This game seems to be built around frustration to get you to make in-app purchases. While your game is supposedly saved at the beginning of a level, this isn't always the case. After playing for a long time, I got shoved all the back to level 1. It's this kind of behavior that makes me NOT want to continue playing.

LOST PURCHASED COINS!!!. This game is amazing and extremely addictive. I play it a lot and wanted to waste the little money I had on my account to buy some coins. I purchased 20,000 coins, but when I left the game and came back, all my coins were gone. That's $8 of mine completely gone. Can this please be fixed?

The best bit rpg I’ve ever played!. Wow where do I even start. I used to play this game on my little iPhone 5 a couple years back but when I got a new phone I never could play the game again :( I downloaded the game again today and honestly I forgot how much fun it is. If I were to give feedback I’d definitely start by saying it would be nice to have a settings menu that could allow you to be able to change the way you play for example, if you could have HD graphics or even make the graphics more pixelated, and to change the way you control your character like a D-pad or joystick mechanic also if it’s possible to make the resolution of the game bigger so it’s easier to see that would make the game even more enjoyable. Well that’s basically all I have to say :) this game is amazing and I hope someone who’s behind the creation of this beautiful game see’s this. ❤️👾❤️

Ok, but not for everyone.. I like the presentation of the game, but the controls are awkward and it isn't obvious how to play. For example, the chests are not opened as in traditional games, but must be dragged into the item slots. Very confusing and seems like a poor attempt to reuse artwork. Also, why are you able to move loot, but not other objects like keys? I'll play some more later, but my first impression was not good.

Perfect time waster. It's like Zelda meets binding of Isaac meets diablo. I know those games are pretty similar but you'll understand what I mean when you play. Music is amazing. Too bad it only plays after battles.

Great Arcade Style Game. This game is one of the best games on my ipad. With so much content, and great controls, this app is sure to stay on my ipad for a while.

Level choice needs work. This game is great! Leveling choices (damage, crit, health) needs to be easier to chose the one you want. I can’t tell when I’m going to gain a level, and if you are standing near one of the choices the game essentially picks it for you. It should be moved to an area of the map where you can’t accidentally choose the wrong stats. Other than that and some lag, this is one of my favorite games.

Bit Dungeon. On my Iphone 4 when i try to get an item in a chest i end up just moving the chest. I guess i will just try bit dungeon on the ipad

Restore Purchases. So I play the game, die, and think well I guess buying some black coins will help me live longer, and support the creator. I find out the save game has an update problem when I read the reviews so I go to delete the game and reinstall like it suggests to bypass the save error. Black coins GONE, restore purchase button? Non-exsistent. If you don't believe in saved games FINE, I get that. But at least give us the option to restore purchases when there is a Bug caused by update, it's only fair.

Needs update. This game is great, however in the last update for the iPhone it erased my save! Now I can't save any games either, really disappointing :( I hope the update that fixes this comes out soon! I am beginning to lose all hope.

Unplayable. The game is completely broken and unplayable from the moment you get it. You're locked in the first room with a chest and a potion. The potion actually works and heals you some, the chest however is impossible to open. I'm assuming the door is supposed to open once you get a weapon from the chest...worst 99 cents I ever spent.

Great game!. This game is freaking awesome and actually has more depth than it appears on its surface. If you don't understand the controls or how to get to the final boss, try Google guys geez! I'd much rather the developer spend the time making the gameplay awesome like it is than creating some in-app tutorial or training. You will figure it out. Huh?. Am I the only one to not be able to turn off sound for the game. I very rarely have my phone off silent - so still having sound when the phone is set to silent is a killer for me I'm afraid. Otherwise simple but fun game.

It's like Zelda.... This game has a few flaws: No pause, little hard to control on the iPod/iPhone. BUT! This game is awesome. There's soooooo much loot to be had! It's like Zelda- as my review states, but it's also the closest thing to The Binding of Isaac on iPod, which is a instant sale for me. There's lots of different enemies; ranged and melee types too. There's also items to buy with Black Souls from a guy in a crack in the wall. Boss fights? Yep! Special powers too. I'll be closely following this developer. I. Love. This. Game! Don't wait. This game is AWESOME! but there’s one thing.... This is an AWESOME GAME!! I can’t believe you have made a game so simple but so fun at the exact same time!! Well done!! But there’s just one thing that’s a bit annoying. Whenever you kill a boss your game saves but then when you die you don’t respawn at the save so then there’s no point in a save spot other than when you buy a soul with 1000 coins. Otherwise Great Game!!

All round awesomeness!. Great game to pass time.. Old school graphics is always a win for me.. Plenty of loot to be had.. Might be a bit repetitive with the levels and AI but trying to see how far you can get with out dying keeps me playing. Good work

Cannot leave level 1. I am so disappointed with the developer for a couple of reasons: (1) there's a bug in level 1 - you cannot leave the chambers without the treasure chest which does not open AND (2) not only had it not been updated since 2013 but a few have complained about it in 2013, and its hasn't been fixed.

Bit basic. This game needs more. Maybe include active skills or different dungeon layouts it's just too simple. Also the start is slow and since u have to restart whenever u die it makes it pretty tedious.

Worth a few hours of diversion. ...but that's about it. Having to restart at the beginning every time with all maps being essentially the same makes the game repetitive. Not enough variety.

Almost perfect. I started playing the game on Kongregate when it was first release and loved how often the developer updated it. Fixing any and all bugs that cropped up. I hope he will continue to do the same with the App version. I tend to get stuck on random corpses, and I would also like to see a mute, and pause button added to the game.

Good, could use a bit more. First and foremost, the game could benefit a lot from a manual/ help that explains what the stats mean. For instance: I have no clue what the purple side of the health bar is. I assume it has something to do with magic or critical, but it never depletes. I have no clue what some of the stats that are shown when you press the health jar mean. The game is simple, fun and random. The combat is simple, it only involves running around, slashing things.

Buy this game.. Tap to kill things, hold down your tap to defend and use your magic. Simple and fun with the added twist of perma-death. Kinda of a simplified Legend of Zelda meets Diablo. I can't wait till they have a leader board or some way to track how far you make it before you die, and maybe a way to save a set of gear in a stash of some sort? Great game regardless.

Great, Retro Style Game. This game plays like a mix between the classic Zelda games, Borderlands and Diablo mixed. Anyone will love this game and PS. It's easier to dominate enemies if you tap the screen all around the enemy. This keeps you constantly moving and if you even touch an enemy you attack. Just a tip.

Lots of fun, way too easy. Plays great on the phone, looks and sounds nice... but it is far too easy for this kind of a game. Beefing up for the final encounter is more of a grind than a test of strategy and endurance. New update made it even easier. Hoping for some kind of hard mode in future updates. This is really a 3/5 as it stands, but the groundwork is there for something that could be much more.

One-Tap Roguelike!. A simple, streamlined, touch interface! What a great perma-death Roguelike! Can't wait for more content with future updates!!! This first one improved things significantly - How about a tutorial screen? With a start this strong, there is no where to go but up!!!

Really never goes anywhere.... Repeats the same levels over and over - it has potential, but doesn't reach it. Also, the latest update ate my save, so I'm pretty much done with this game.

Good concept but... I've played this game a number of times and I can't get passed level 4 no matter what I do. The designers did this so they can get you to spend money on black coins so you can buy uber gear which you will need in order to go beyond level 4. This game has a good concept with a diablo style loot system but the same 3x3 dungeon design is incredibly unimaginative. You should pass on this sorry excuse for an RPG dungeon crawler...

Great action roguelike. Loving this game. It's an excellent action RPG roguelike. I just wish it had some sort of stat tracking, preferabbly through Game Center so I can compare scores with friends.

*could* be great.... This game could be amazing, IF you could save. Every time you die, you must restart the game. I really wish we could save, and continue our characters' hunt for more and better gear rather than getting killed after five minutes and having to restart. This makes me reluctant to pick it up and play... Other than that, this game is great. The controls are very well suited to the touch interface, and the art style is very cool. If you like Zelda, or any other old school dungeon crawler, check this out. But remember its flaws...

Simple, an it's Great Game. It's great game and I love it. I played many 'free' games and this is the only game that I would rather to play the second time. Although it had saving bug before, the new update version is awesome. The only thing I would suggest to the developers is that player wants to keep his saved character after the story ends. I was surprised and sad when I saw 'NEW GAME' after the credit screen. I would keep playing my same old character just to find out what are the good weapon/armor out there. Thank you for making a great simple app game. :D

Great game. It's awesome. Like Zelda: libk to the Past with randon dungeons, loot, and perma death. Needs leader boards and stats you can look through.

Epic. I agree with some of the other coments saying how difficult level four is, but once you have the right loot it's pathetically easy. The secret with every dungeon is to loot every room. Now you may be thinking, "Thats just a waste of time that'll get my killed." It's not, because in every dungeon there is a room with a large crack in the far furthest from the door, once all the monsters have been defeated and you've gotten the key, the crack will open just like a door. Once entering a spectral figure will be in the center of the room. This is the same figure that will sell you a soul after a boss chamber has been completed. In the room there will be four golden chests, two on each side of the ghostly vendor. Above his head there will be a line of text with the cost of each chest. You are allowed to view the item before you buy it. WARNING!!! You cannot re-enter the shop once you have left so be sure to complete all transactions before leaving. Thats just a tip for newbie players. Overall I give the game a 5/5 due to it's creative storyline, interesting dungeons, and epic loot! By the way, if you ever incounter an item with the "Life Steal" enchantment TAKE IT! It's an incredibly helpful ability.

Good concept. Freezes every 15 seconds or so (iPad mini first gen) and it would be great to have a tutorial so you don't have to figure it out by yourself and if there is a pause button I don't see it I haven't played that much but it's really fun at a reasonable price 4.5/5

This game is un playable. In the very starting room you can't leave because the chest is unopenable

Good rogue but...... Overall a lot of fun, could use some tweaks, picking up weapons should be more clear, many times I walk away from a chest with the wrong weapon. Buying stuff from the hole in the wall should similarly have a yes/no option. I think I'm using my magic but I don't know how I'm doing it. What's a soul and what is it good for? And finally when I came into 6.1 all the doors were open and all there was were blue gravestones. I fought the boss, lost and now the doors are locked and there are purple hats but no keys. I seem trapped, unable to unlock a door, is this a puzzle or a glitch?

Perfection. Look no further. This is the perfect iOS game. Just brilliant.

Very addicting game. Love the retro perma death Zelda/Diablo hack and slash, got to lvl 42 so far and the difficulty ramped up so quick, nice fix for iphone 5 on last patch. Only giving 4/5 due to no option to mute in game music, i like to listen to my own music.

Wow!!. Simple, fun, and far from other games . Fun and easy gameplay great for all ages !! But.. I wish there was a better way to save not just at the beginning of each new dungeon and the text for items was up a little higher when your holding it so be able to see the stats better . But all and all one of those little 8 bit awesomeness games that comes once in a while highly recommend downloading it and having a little fun !!

Good, save for one aggravation. I really like this game, however every time you start, regardless of whether the sound is muted or not, the intro music plays anyway. This is bad if you're taking a short break at work and all of a sudden everyone in the office hears your gaming session going on... The dev needs to correct this, in my opinion.

Fun but.... How the heck do you save the game?! It's starts over whenever I stop playing it. Ah, you can only save between levels. Fun dungeon rogue type game. Addicting game play and the graphics and sound effects are pretty cool. The touch movement can be awkward sometimes. Would be better if you could double tap to keep walking forward.

A great game that could be even greater. The basic gist of bit Dungeon is that you have to clear out each room full of monsters and hopefully you get a good drop that is better than what you already have. The items that the monsters drop are either weapons, armor, or coins. The coins can be used to buy weapons and armor with extra effects on them. The coins are kind of pointless to spend during the beginning of the game, since you get so many drops at the beginning that you eventually find items that are better than the ones from the store. When you save up the coins around levels 12 and up, that's when the shop gets the good stuff. There are a variety of monsters that keep the game fresh for awhile, but then they tend to become eye sores if you are able to play the game for awhile without dying. I only got up to level 30 and I started getting a repetitive feeling from them. After awhile the game does get stale since you don't really here any missions or objectives besides getting better gear to defeat the next boss. If you like mindless fun dungeon crawling and looting drops from your foes to get stronger, this is the game for you! BUT if you want more things like quests, escort missions, pets that can fight by your side, an inventory where you can collect your drops etc....basically a full on rpg, then this probably isn't for you. This game would definitely get a five if it had more fleshed out gameplay, but it's a very linear type of game.

I want to love this game. The save system needs to be fixed... Very frustrating when your save vanishes when you don't launch the app every couple of hours. Could very well be a 5/5 but with this issue I can't play it.

Practically Zelda on iPod touch, but.... Very good game, but I think the controls could use a bit of adjusting. Joysticks would be a lot more comfortable on the screen, maybe add a pause menu (please) where we can choose between "joysticks" and the original "touch to move" controls. And I think it'd be better if I could save my progress in between levels because I kinda feel like I'm forging through these dungeons for nothing because I have to start over every time I die. Also, the iPhone 5 support was VERY cheaply done... Probably not going to play until fixed.

This game is a lot of fun.. The gameplay is awesome but the interface needs some work. Some sort of pause screen would be nice. You could turn off the sound there to solve that problem. I'm also scared to close the game and lose my progress after hours of effort. The pause screen could work as a mid-game save. Also, more monsters! Add these two things and I'll give it 5 stars for sure.

Unplayable. Stuck in first room.. I've read other similar reviews, I'm gonna go out in a limb and say it's all the recent Apple updates that have rendered this game unplayable. DO NOT BUY until devs fix issue.

Great but very disappointing. Why does it say it saves when it doesnt? Once u die you lose all the rare items and you gotta start from level 1 again! What a joke! FIX THIS OR THERES NO POINT IN PLAYING IT!

Amazing. This game is truly addicting and fantastic. People complaint about the touch controls should stop. Now. There is a specific reason why the developers made this a one touch game rather than face buttons. If it had face buttons it would lose all aspects of its style and coolness. The controls can be tricky at times but when you get into it, it's an experience that will grab your attention and be worth the minuscule amount of money you shall spend.

Alot of fun except... This game has a lot going for it. Fun, fast and simple gameplay and plenty of reason to explore every room. The games biggest flaw is how easy it is to accidently get rid of or auto equip items that you don't want. Since equip , attack and move are all the same "tap the screen" action you will find that this can lead to a number of problems. If you are standing over a chest and click elswhere to move, you auto equip the contents of the chest, UNLESS you hold your finger on the screen and move the reticule to a different spot. You can also use this method to see whats in a box without moving to it. The other problem is that there is nothing explaining this except through trial and error and I still havent found out how to cast spells as there is No menue screen. It would help to add a menue button where you can review gameplay actions. Other than that the game is great. You can attack by tapping on enemies and you swing as fast as you can tap on the screen. I'd recommend this to any action RPG fan :D

Great game; needs some updates.... Truly is one of the best games I've played yet. However it has some downfalls: 1.chest are hard to interact with. 2.no help or tutorial. 3. Have no idea how to use magic. 4. No record keeping for runs. 5. Black soul trader has no way to look at the boxes before buying them. I wouldn't have a problem with that if the prices for the items didn't jump so drastically. I can hardly buy items anymore cause the cost/drop rate for the black souls is crazy. Fix these issues and you'll truly have one of the best games out there and a 5 star rating :)

Great Old School Game!. Great game! Its one of those awesome pick up and play games that gives you instant gratification. You can put it down when ever and pick it it back up when ever. The enemies are super cool and I think the mini boss enemy varients are a nice touch! I'd love to see a score tracking system in place, and I cant wait to pick this up for Iphone!!!!

Very addicting, looking forward to a sequel. This is a very fun game. The random gear and rarity coupled with the Zelda-like gameplay is great. I hope to see some class choices and an inventory system in a sequel. I'd like to play as a dagger wielding Mage. Also, the way the tooltips come up when you press and hold over a chest makes it hard to read if you have big fingers.

A fantastic little game. I've been playing this for the last hour on and off and I have to say, it's fantastic. It's essentially a simplistic hack and slash in the tradition of Diablo but the gameplay manages to be fluid and lively despite initially awkward controls (at least, awkward on my cramped iPhone). The 8 bit tunes are getting progressively better as I descend and I'm starting to become attached to my nameless, purposeless hero as he hurls himself upon these creatures of the depths. I wish yours the same luck and skill.

Simply simple!. I absolutely love this game! The retro style design with the simple "touch to interact" style makes this game a great pick up a play. I would enjoy to see lots more monsters and different types of dungeons but I'm sure the devs are working on it! :) The game looks great on the iPad. It's similar to Realm of The Mad God. Well I love this game.... Its great, but I found out it no longer saves your place or black coins because of a bug in the update.. They need to fix it soon. I was at level 40 then got the unpleasant surprise of losing my progress when I got back on

Nice. Great game for a dollar.

Simple and Repetitive. I found the combat to be a bit too simplistic and the gameplay to be too repetitive. The game features a handful of level types that are repeated over and over. You even end up fighting the same few bosses over and over, they just gain more health and do more damage with each level. Then if you die and run out of lives, you start over from the beginning with little reason to keep playing. This game had the potential to be a lot better.

Some pretty annoying problems. Really addictive and well done but has the annoying problem of getting two armors on at once whatever they are like 2 helmets then you leave the room and you have no helmet same for any armor. It leaves you taking a lot of damage and is really annoying must befixed :/ makes later levels impossible to win when you have this happen on both your helmet and chestplate....

Great game, mediocre interface.. This game is exactly what I wanted, it is a fun, easy to play game that is a lot of fun. The problem with this game is that there are no options whatsoever. Want to see what your highest run was? Can't do that. Want to check out your inventory? Well that's about the only thing you can do. In combat there is no option to look at your spells or cast them. The save function does not work and interaction with chests is terrible at best. I like this game, but there needs to be work done to make it playable.

Amazing!. This is a great game! Reminds me of old school Zelda dungeons but throw in epic armor, magic, and perma death! Permanent death is what makes this game fun and exciting and adds replay-ability! The armor is cool because you can actually see it on your character, but most of all a big variety with some pretty awesome stats and set bonuses! It takes some getting used to controls, and may need some tweaking.. But overall a really really fun game with great variety and will adapt to your own playing style! If you are reading this download now totally worth the asking price!! Thanks kintogames!!! Keep the updates coming!

Update screwed game. Game rocked till the update I lost my save!!!! That's the biggest thing I had lots of work into my save!!!!! And now there's a glitch when trying to pick up new equipment.

Addicting..... Yet completely frustrating. If I get the heart then I come back to life after 1 death, but soon die again because of lack of hp and no other rooms open to kill rats and ghosts. If I die without the heart I'm out of luck. Please make this work a little better? Also, it seems like sometimes I have the worst equipment ever and can't get something good at all.

Awesome but ...... Now every time I close the app and I go back in later , it starts at "new game" all the time !! Even when I'm on a high level or after I just saved . After the new update this happened >___<

Great!. Fun little dungeon game with good action. Tip to players stuck, at the end of chapter 4 you get a red item and sometimes the boss drops a green or cyan item but for some reason it doesn't save correctly and you begin at the start of 4 again so you can just farm good items until you're ready :)

Fun but adding IAP was a bad decision. My initial review I gave the game five stars. I'm dropping it to three after the most recent update. The game is still fun but adding in app purchases was a bad idea in my opinion. For some people they my love it since u can buy coins and them buy a soul for a continue. To me that ruins the spirit of the game and makes it pay to win. I am up to level 12 or 13 now and I know that I have to be careful because of the permadeath. I know you can also earn a soul albeit rarely (unless this was removed to try and force IAPs which will lower my rating if true) but being able to spend money to buy coins and buy a soul whenever needed takes away from having to worry that the next room could be your last. To the person that gave a bad review based on saves still not working, read the description. Saves don't help if you die, they are only there to save your progress after you finish a whole level so you can come back later. One final issue, I haven't updated my ipad due to IAPs and the fact that I don't like how the save system changed but I did update my iPhone 4 version and since then I have noticed intermittent freezes.

Fun but needs improvements. If you're debating whether or not to get this game just buy it. For 99¢ you can't go wrong. I've definitely gotten my money's worth. As for the gameplay, it could definitely use some improvements and bug fixes: * A story intro would go a long way in to explaining why you're in the dungeon in the first place * It's tough to use magic by tapping and holding, a button would be nice * Tapping to switch gear is WAY too sensitive. It switches too fast and i've lost gear by not realizing it changed before leaving a room. * When you buy an item in the shop it should stay purchased. If I switch gear and decide I want my old item back I have to pay again. * When you die a summary of your accomplishments would be nice, it feels wrong to just end abruptly.

Wish I didn't buy it. Nasty hitches, no menus for options, strange difficulty spikes. It had potential though, I think.

Great game. About the glitch. It's repeatable if the upgrade stats balls are on the ground and a creature that was in the room when you entered is still alive. If you select any of the upgrades while mobs are still around then you will freeze in that spot even if you are not near the upgrades. I'm above lvl 300 so I've seen the bug many times. Never seen the save bug though.

Crashes!. Love the two or three screens I get before it crashes. But it crashes every game, so only one star. Can I get a refund or update?

Great on iPad, not on iPhone. Really enjoyed this on my iPad, but on the iPhone's small screen the controls are dire. It's frustratingly difficult to act with any precision, which makes inventory and looting far harder than it should be. I really hope an alternate control scheme may be in the works. With interface improvement, this game could shine.

Fun game, but no pause option?. It's a fairly decent game, and I like how items and gear are plentiful throughout. I would like an in-game pause option, rather than just exiting the game to accomplish that. I haven't died yet, so the save system is working fine for me when I resume play after completing a dungeon (some reviewers claiming that death means you have to start from dungeon 1 instead of continuing). Anyways, I like the nostalgic value here. It's a good time waster for me.

DELETED!. I just deleted this game after reaching level 57 and the stupid glitch described below ruined my game. Lost all progress after putting in hours, acquiring tons of points and treasures, so that's the last straw! Totally frustrating and disappointing. First I thought it was because it's not yet optimized for the iPhone 5 screen, but I was playing on an iPad 4. Drat! Original review: I enjoy this game a lot, but there's frustrating glitches that occur that can be annoying. Just a heads up to the developer. For example, the knight getting stuck and not being able to move when the health, attack, and critical choices arise and some darn eyetob is alive and shooting at me. So, I can't attack back or even defend and have to wait until the creature kills me after I have amassed some great weapons and have gotten deep and therefore have to start from scratch again after putting in hours of gameplay. Otherwise brilliant game. Then I read comments from players who have gotten to level 90 and complain about lack of variety or conclusion. Puh-leeze!

Mostly good. It's good, but a bit glitchy. You're character will get stuck for no apparent reason occasionally. The controls aren't great, it's difficult to actually use the defend mechanism, because it basically forces you to run away. Could be greatly improved with game-pad style controls or at least a separate button for shield.

Deleted character. This update deleted my level 150 character!!!! I spent a month on that! DO NOT UPDATE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CHARACTER

Fantastic! But.. I love this game and play as often as I can. I have noticed a few bugs with the acquiring of armor and gear. If you hold your finger over an item and drag it to your inventory it will glitch and unless there is still a chest on the screen to switch with, you will lose both items as you move to the next room. Could we get a confirm button for equipping gear? The only annoying thing for me is touching a box and a chest is underneath so it auto switches the gear. I hope to see more games from this developer in the future.
