App needs to be updated. I am very frustrated with this app. It does not let me remove items from the cart once added. It also doesn’t automatically update pancoins. And it won’t let you cancel any orders nor see the history of your orders. I just spent way too much thinking I could just put it in the cart and delete the other one. It should go to a second step before actually ordering and you should be allowed to delete orders in your cart. Very disappointed by this. Tried to call the stir for a refund but the manager isn’t even available as usual.

Stores should be prepared. The app itself works fine for me, but I find it odd that you can’t add a tip in the check out section. Most food apps give you that option. My biggest complaint about this app has more to do with the restaurant itself. If you’re going to allow mobile orders then be prepared for them. I have ordered through this app about five times and not once has my food been ready to go at the time the app promises. I am usually in the restaurant 10 minutes waiting for my order it be bagged and brought to me. This morning they had no plastic utensils other than a spoon. Have you ever tried to spread butter on a pancake and eat it with a spoon?

Needs work. I’m an app tested I see other write they know testers and I did a 3rd grade level tests and founds bugs that would never come out an an initial release. Tested App and Mobile site in Safari iOS Some pancakes don’t let you add or double their own toppings so you can add it, ??? Kind of big deal when pancakes is the only section I tested. When checking out makes it seem as paying now is an option, it asks you but it’s telling you. Has a a fun button that does nothing. Doesn’t change the screen or tell you anything but from what I found the Pay Now button is there for decoration with no action tied to it, it already checked the fields have value or not if you don’t push it. You add payment info (4 fields) and just use the check out at the bottom and that works. But what happened the 3 times I hit the Pay Now button above that did nothing (didn’t charge my bank 3 times right?!!?) Nope it didn’t do squat. Why did I hit it 3 times first I though thumb was dry then I saw the second didn’t do anything wasn’t my thumb, 3rd well I had to 😐 for fun. Hopefully the store throws in the extra blueberry that couldn’t be ordered after all that free testing. Overseas developers you’re welcome.

Pickup Time Is Incorrect. I placed an order 45 minutes in advance and arrived at the scheduled time. The lobby was full of other people who also ordered via the app. We were all told it would be an additional 45 to 60 minutes. It seems like the logic should’ve picked this up instead of sending all of us to the restaurant at the same time, but it didn’t and there was no communication workflow to let us know the orders were delayed. After more than an hour, I couldn’t even cancel the order. I had to dispute the charge of my credit card. Granted, I did all of this as a guest user in the app. I didn’t sign up bc iOS didn’t detect the contact fields at signup and there’s no alternative login option (Facebook, Google, Apple). As a guest user, I should still be able to track my order, though. Instead, I just a received a noreply confirmation with no contact option for a service issue. The app is clearly designed for function over experience.

How does this app have the rating it does?. The food is good, the app is terrible! Let me list some of the ways I was continuously tempted to give up on ordering: hard to navigate, hard and confusing to use rewards, if you leave the app the cart doesn’t save and you have to start all over, you have to hunt for the syrup option, pickup time selection was glitchy, it didn’t give me option to add tip, no Apple Pay or PayPal option, and worst of all, if there’s a way to check in to say you’re there, I could not find it. I went to the “contact us” tab to complain, and they even made that complicated requiring that a ton of info is entered before it can be submitted.

Here is one app that can help restaurants loosing customers. Major pains! After so much trouble trying to download, trying to register also having many problems every steps; then after all that you would think that the app actually works that when you did make a payment for your bill and able to earn rewards accordingly!! Well!! WE HAVE TOO HIGH OF THE HOPE THAT THIS APP ACTUALLY WORKS!! It was like after getting chased down accusing we did not pay the bill ; so customers actually HAVE TO BE RESPONSible for your app that’s NOT WORKING to add to that we still need to drive back to pay the bill by using the old school payment!! OMG !! THIS IS THE APP OF A NIGHTMARE!! This evening turned out to be several hours of troubles after TROUBLES!!

It’s not that good. The design of the app is quiet boring and there are some significant errors in the layout and design, for example if you have a gift card and a regular card it can’t charge both at the same time so now i am left with a gift card with $3.01 cents that the app won’t take the money off of because it is not the amounted total. there is no additional security on the checkout button to make sure you order is correct it just charges right away leaving people to often time make errors. the design of the app itself is also very underwhelming. it is overall a VERY MEDIOCRE app.

Needs A Little Extra. The app functions well, it’s responsive and never crashed on me. The issue is the lack of ability to customize. For instance I wanted the strawberries on my pancakes but not bananas. The only customization was to add them both. The issue of not being able to pay by card is the worst problem for me personally. You can do gift card but not bank. I don’t like that for curbside pickup because then my card is in the hands of a stranger while being out of my sight.. for that reason I scraped my order and wrote this review.

Terrible online ordering experience. I act like writing this will actually make any change because you haven’t made any actual useful changes to this app in 4 years. But sure why not anyways. No inapp copy paste in 2023. No autofill information in 2023. Makes you enter password and card info manually. Thank you for making me go find my card and enter manually even though every other app I own can enter from my phone. Also thank you for not taking apple pay too! Also can’t even find the status of current order once you leave the app? Also why is it constantly tracking my location just to find the nearest location. Can’t even use website to order instead as always comes in error. Thank you for the always terrible experience ihop.

Some nice features but crashes. It’s nice you can continue and order as a guest. I think this is much better than calling on the phone to place a to go order. It’s nice to see what options are available for each entrée and just pick them. However we’ve noticed some of the selections like chicken fried steak cause the app to crash completely and you have to start over again. Also some options like adding chicken or steak to the omelette is not an available option. there needs to be another category where you can just say what you want to add. Because if you order in the store you can add stuff like that.

No options to add notes, thus bringing me food I didn’t want after their CS messed up. Being a creature of habit, when my SO suggested getting IHOP I was all in favor (since I already knew what I always got) but this time (my 1 & only time to try your breakfast delivery) I never got my order. You see I have this problemwith certain textures (ex moistness versus dryness which is like swallowing medicine without a drink), so no matter what I am getting anywhere I ALWAYS have to get (or have) extra sauce/ condiment/ etc. so since they didn’t have a spot for a note on the order I wasn’t able to submit one and so I decided to call the location it said I was ordering from. Also, just in case, I decided to chat with the delivery company (I have screenshots and such showing all the details) to get them to double check...after half an hour of the phone ringing & ringing but never picking up (& yes I did call back) me repeatedly giving the right info over chat & them repeatedly saying I didn’t order through them, they finally found it...right after the driver had picked up the food...VERY CONVENIENT...I even explicitly said if I wasn’t able to get the sauce I didn’t want it, but 5-10 minutes later food shows up exactly as I knew would come dry & inedible. So I wasted all that time, had to work with a company with shady business practices, never got someone on the phone from the location I was ordering from & got inedible food & CHARGED FOR IT. Never eating here again!!!

Not working at all. I don’t know if this app is just new or what because it didn’t work. I tried to see my wallet rewards and it kept saying “data can not be seen” until I closed and reopened the app 5 times and then it worked. Then It would not let me place an order because every time I would try to place the order it would load the page for half a second and then kick me back to the cart no matter how many times I tried restarting the app. Lastly every time I would try to exit from my cart it would just crash the whole app and wipe my order. I went ahead and just used the browser instead which worked perfectly. I really hope the app improves and I would love to use it in the future once it has been fixed!

Almost there. A lot of things are great with this app, but two things would really make it better. 1) Some options aren’t available as selections for specific meals (e.g. sometimes seasonal pancakes don’t show up as pancake options with an omelet), and a few extra customization options would be nice (e.g. well done bacon) 2) Enhanced, modern payment options should be implemented. When adding payment information, the card number and expiration date fields don’t identify themselves as payment fields, so it doesn’t trigger the OS to suggest autocompletion of saved payment information. Also, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc. should be auto-includes for all apps accepting payments at this point.

Fix the ordering issues on the App. When you place a order you can select a location but it will always revert back to your favorite location once you are about to check out. Which will cause the order to be processed to your favorite location even if you are not there so you have to manually check it more than twice to make sure the app doesn’t put the wrong location and take your money. I don’t order for delivery anymore because it often bugs out and glitches making the third-party drivers not see who the order is for. My advice would be to order the food , check the right location, and go in the store yourself and pick up your food because they need to reprogram this entire system.

Lots of room for improvement. I ordered delivery through the app. First problem is that it says tip $0.00. I looked everywhere to add the tip, but it wouldn’t let me. So I plans the order and hoped I could add afterwards. Nope, not allowed. I called the restaurant to see if they could adjust on their side. They couldn’t. Then there is no way to track the status of the order. I placed the order at 12:07 pm, it is currently 1:25 pm and we still don’t have it. I tried to call and the person who answers was extremely rude. She was bagging it up then. But the original driver was not there to pick it up. I don’t even know how many Driver’s have cancelled. I drive for DoorDash and UberEats and I refuse every order unless there is a tip because $3.00 isn’t worth it all. We have Covid and cannot leave the house. So yeah, all around now I am also extremely frustrated with this whole experience. I won’t be using the IHOP app again, unless I can tip my driver and track my order.

Easier checking out as A Guest- Go figure…. I’ve been trying to order breakfast through DoorDash and order was cancelled without explanation other than try a different location? I remembered about the ihop app but I didn’t remember my password so tried to reset it but didn’t receive a password reset in my email? This is the 2nd time in 2022 that checking out as a guest was a huge time saver, the only downside is double the cost…I’ll still rate 5 stars on checking out as a guest…

Needs improvement. Seems like anytime I use this app, the order is messed up. Today I selected 6:30 pm as my pick up time. There were problems with my payment card. The card info didn’t attach to the order so it had to put input again. By the time that was done I got a pick up time error. Insufficient time. So then I changed it to ASAP. Keep in mind I selected 6:30, but ASAP gave me 6:31 😂. Went and picked up the order. My fault I didn’t double check the contents. We ordered 2 optional side salads. Those were not there. But the dressing was. So I compared the email receipt agains to stores ticket and the salads are not on the ticket, but they are on the email. Somewhere the system dropped that out. Done. No more. I’ll pick another restaurant

Decent App. Needs upgrade. This is a nice app but a few things that need to improve: -Reorders don’t change locations based on your preference changes. It’ll let you change it but still reorders from the same location you last ordered. - It doesn’t let you see your current order in the app. It confirms the order was placed but that’s it. You can’t see it again in case you need the confirmation at pickup. -When I’m playing music on my phone and open the app, it stops the music player *shrugs*

Loyalty Rewards. I just downloaded the app, it was fine but in the end when I was about to hit pay I noticed there was a button for loyalty rewards, I clicked it and then it stated I didn’t have any loyalty rewards, so I tried to click the button where it states back, but it didn’t work it just stayed stuck, I had to close the app and try again. Also, I tried ordering it thru safari but it stayed stuck on the “confirm restaurant” feature. So not sure but the app needs to be fixed! Thank you!

Update is a disaster. Basically they broke what was working already. The new interface is wonky. Things are findable, but it takes real effort. Past orders — a feature in the previous version — are nowhere to be found. The app frequently shows my local store as closed and unable to take orders, but when I call the store they’re open as usual. And a major annoyance is that it shuts off any music I may have playing when I launch the app. Finally, if I want to contact IHOP for help, I have to enter information about my last visit even if my issue is with the app itself or something other than a past order (which, again, I can’t find any record of in the app). The new menu layout does look nice, so there’s that.

Login Issues. I’ve had the app on my phone for quite some time. Today was the first time I attempted to use it on a long time. When I tried to login, it told me my password was wrong which I knew it wasn’t so I tried using the Forgot Password feature but I never received the reset password email. I tested that feature with a few of my other emails thinking maybe I had the wrong email. But still no reset password link received anywhere so I created a new account using the same email as before. It let me do that. I just figured my account was closed since it had been a couple years since I used it. I tried logging in with the new credentials and then it started telling me my password needed to be updated. Now why would I need to update a password I literally just made the same day based on the password requirements suggested by the site???? So I said let me try logging in on the computer instead. Login works just fine on a PC but will not work on the app! So if I’m out and about, the app is useless to me because it’s not letting me login period. I even tried creating a new account on the app thinking maybe the app is just different from the computer way. Guess what message I get this time? “An account already exists with this email.” Really? Ya don’t say! -_-

Be careful when you’re ordering. Be extremely careful when you’re ordering. You’ll choose what location you want to order from then at check out at oil change to the closest location. It’s happened to me three times in this last time. I’m finally over it. It caused an additional 40 minutes. on my way to work, otherwise I would’ve had to repay since the store that I originally ordered from would not make the order. I would rate it one star, but the rewards are actually pretty solid, so I’ll give it two. If we can get the location issues fixed, then I’d say it’s a four star app. But the location causes a lot of people from what I’ve read a lot of grief.

Cannot place orders for future. Most restaurant apps nowadays offer mobile ordering. This does as well, but unless I am doing something wrong, I am not able to place an order for pickup tomorrow. My wife is meeting a friend at 9am tomorrow morning, and I am dropping her off. I figured I’d grab some food while I am there on my way to work. I wanted to order my food now and have a pickup time of 9am, so I don’t have to worry about making an order in the morning when I am focusing all my time to getting ready for work. Unfortunately, if you place an order, the restaurant has to be OPEN at the time of placement, or else it just lists the location is closed. If you do place an order during open hours, it has to be set for an ASAP pickup time. Easy fix, surprised no one thought of this

Easy App ordering Finally!. We had months of trying to order with the app and always getting an error message and not able to place an online order through the app or from the website. We googled the error and found out that everybody else had trouble with online ordering when it came to checking out. Needless to say we just cook breakfast at home every time which I prefer. Today my husband said hey let’s go to IHOP, I didn’t feel like being out amongst others still during this time of Covid so I thought I’d try the app again. Looks like it’s finally been addressed and ordering this morning was a breeze!

Easy Peezy ordering!. I Love how the app is organized for placing a online order!! Not to throw shady BUT I am.. last time I was at the ihop in Pooler Ga, I did not like the service. Our food was wildly bad except the pancakes. AND WE LOOVE our pancakes from ihop and who could mess up a pankcake? I mean it’s ihop for crying out loud, you just can’t. Period. So this app makes it SO easy for us to make that order of pancakes and dip so we don’t have to deal w/ the extra stuff. LOVE YOUR PANCAKES IHOP and I still have Ihope in your customer service as well:’-) have a wonderful 2019 happy day, god bless

Missing certain features. The pay system would be a lot easier if you incorporated Apple and Google Pay. You also should add a feature to allow users to tip the drivers. I don’t often carry cash on me and so I have to stiff the driver because I don’t have a way to do it on the app. The receipt is also missing apartment numbers and the note area during checkout is broken, so I can’t add any notes to make sure that the apartment number is included. The local restaurant is not very good at quality control. Several times things are missing or prepared not as requested. I am afraid to order from them again.

Terrible!. I’ve never felt the need to leave a review for an app before, but this one is so terrible I had to talk about it. The app is just plain broken, I try to order and it say “please enter a valid phone number” I already did... SIX TIMES. Then it doesn’t give you an option to go back and correct your info if you had entered it incorrectly, so you have to close the app and start all over. Then finally, when you don’t experience any of those issues the app will just freeze on the checkout screen and you have to close it and start all over again. I tried for about 25 minutes to order food, and finally gave up and just ordered off of Postmates and paid the extra $3 for delivery cause I couldn’t stand this app anymore. Please fix this buggy app.

Still problems with the app. Update: It doesn’t recognize my password. It also won’t send me an email to reset my password. It also will not let me create a new account with the email address I have because an account already exists BUT somehow if I order online as a guest with a phone number it’ll text me and THEN the app recognizes my password and email Historical: Tried this order a few times and there was no obvious way to add the tip. Also I asked for curbside and put in my car info but when the order was complete it said go into the store and identify my pick up? Not sure when I put this last review in but the problem still exists as of 2.4.23. When I finally did get an email to reset my password, my iPhone generated one but then there was no option to update it in my phone. so I’m back as square one ordering as guest

No Grits on the menu. The only issue I have is that they have grits but not on the app menu so I have to call the location and ask to add grits to my order the store manager said that I need to complain so here’s my complaint. Not all management will accommodate unless specified also there isn’t a note box so send notes of that kind of communication either. However despite my complaint Raytown IHOP on 350Hwy is the best they are patient with customers and the food is always hot and delicious keep up the amazing work and thanks for all you do in during this crazy Pandemic it’s greatly appreciated!!

Incomplete. I loaded and used this app for the 1st time yesterday. Placing the order was easy peasy. I think what’s missing is an option in settings to view your current and past orders. Upon placing the order, I received a text for the timing of my arrival and curbside delivery. The link took me to the details of my order within the app. I waited for more than 20 minutes past the ready time indicated and had to call the store to let them know I had been waiting at which point the server came right. What might be a better option is changing that text to letting the store know the customer has arrived. However trying to find that message again searching through the app was unsuccessful. Not a bad app at all. Just needs some enhancements.

Not bad for first time.. Worked pretty well first time out. Would be better if used Apple Pay or Wallet for credit card instead of inputting Card info, I prefer Apple’s security to any other company. Was able to easily add and edit orders to each person’s requirements. Would be nice to have an overall comment area for any special instructions though. Wasn’t able to add a tip to the total, need to have that option unless I missed it.

Usability Frustration. I was glad to see an updated app, hopeful for improvement over my big beef with the old one but instantly met with familiar frustration on my first order. After selecting delivery option and location you’re given the option to repeat a recent order, which overrides both the location and delivery method. While technically you showed the change on the next screen, no one is expecting those things to change so you’re not looking for it until the confirmation screen where it’s front and center that you now have to get your sick self out of bed to go pick up your family order at an inconvenient location. Also, I couldn’t see a way to order just a side of eggs in the menu. And please have a way to see your current and historical orders/receipts. When you go back to the app to confirm the seemingly random location the app picks for your order, the confirmation screen is gone and there doesn’t seem to be a way to find the open order. But, hey, there’s pancoins now. Sorry for the rant but I love the brand and want more for it. Also, I’m sick and it’s cold out. Oh yeah, I tried to leave this feedback directly on your in-app long feedback form but it kept asking me for irrelevant things server name and check number before crapping out on some location field error and resetting the form after I had to do the Captcha thing twice. Ugh.

Needs improvement. My husband is a developer for a national company, and for that reason I’ve become more familiar with how apps SHOULD work. This app needs improvement and it seems rather obvious someone wanted it released before it was ready, before it had been properly tested, and before all necessary information was included. My personal ‘gripe’ is that I have an iPhone X and the final order check out screen has the exit box at the far top left corner, above where it ought be, so it’s impossible to use. In order to re-enter the app, I have to hard close it and reopen it to reset the screen. This should not be necessary, as it seems to indicate the developer unnecessarily messed with the size coding for the iPhone X template provided by Apple. In this day and age, where everyone is used to apps working nearly flawlessly, I give IHOP props for finally entering the tech world, but thumbs down for execution. Someone doesn’t quite know what they’re doing here, and is not taking notes from other higher functioning apps. Get a new developer or kick this one in the pants and tell them to get it right. If a novice can see the issues here... I worry that someone more seasoned has missed these things and still chose to roll it out.

Not what I was expecting. I’ve never ordered of this app and today was the day I decided to download and order. I was planning on getting the spinach and mushroom omelette, my wife wanted onion rings as a side for her sandwich. Neither one of the these items displayed. We have ordered this food multiple time at the restaurant without issue. After getting frustrated, I tried calling the restaurant to place my order, but due to the virus, they are only taking online orders. I was able to get an order placed, but I’m not happy with it. They need to update this app with a complete menu listing. It seems things are missing.

Pan coins and rewards disappeared. I opened the app and like every time I do this simple act I am immediately force to update the app. After the update is completed I come back to the app to find that all of my Pan coins and rewards has been taken from my wallet. My transaction history disappeared as well and show a message that says “The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format” I have no clue what that mean nor how to put it in the correct format. All I know is I have recently spent a lot of money with IHOP using this app for the benefit of pan coins and rewards. Is there anyway this could be corrected and compensated?

Items that have options are hard to order. Anything that has “options” are hard to order. I just wanted pain scrambled eggs but when I clicked scrambled eggs as my choice of eggs it too me to the option screen to give me the option to add cheese. I didn’t want cheese but couldn’t figure out how to order without cheese. The same thing happened when I ordered a drink. It forced me to the “options” so I had to order with no ice. I also didn’t see anywhere to add notes for special instructions. I wanted to say no butter for my waffles but wasn’t able to.

Limited customization of Omelette sides. App Functionality is good but in terms of options for the omelettes which I only order every day, there is no option for me to upgrade to a Belgian waffles or French toast for the omelette. Sometimes I would like to upgrade to those and the only options I can choose from are a limited selection of pancakes. This really needs to be fixed. I’m deducting two stars for my review due to the limited availability of upgradeable sides for the Omelettes. When the functionality is added I will amend my review to 5 stars.

Good but needs improvement. I like that I can order online and it gives you all of the ordering options that the wait staff has so you can customize your food to your liking just like in the restaurant. However, you have to use the search option far more than I would like to find you food. The biggest gripe I have is with delivery, it searches your address which I can understand many delivery option apps do this but there is no space to put your apartment number not even a section for special instructions which is where I put the apartment number in other apps.

Location change needs adjustment. The app has come a long way the past few years and I like the addition of the pancake rewards and how it feels similar to a crypto app. It’s a few years ahead of other companies now and definitely moving in the right direction. One hangup I have though is we have 3 IHOP locations around us and I change the one I order at depending on whatever else I have to get/do at the time. Right now the app asks you which IHOP location you want to order from, then when you start your order, shows you previous orders you can reorder. The only problem is, unless you force it to change the pickup location back, it will order from the same location as that previous order. Either ask if we want to reorder a previous order first, or don’t overwrite the location selection from the previous menu. It forced me to chose between losing an hour driving to another location for a hour old food or wasting $45 and leave it there.

Payment and Ordering Big Headache. Although this app has evolved over the years, there are still issues. Using the previous/recent orders only allows you to reorder using the same address. You can’t change it without starting over. Also when it comes to payment, it won’t let you place the order because the option to use a credit/debit card isn’t available. Now I’m forced to use door dash directly to order for delivery. I do have to the ease of ordering and make changes to the items is nice. The app would be great if they fix those issues.

App OK but needs customizations/notes. App is quick, not very buggy, intuitive, and pretty comprehensive. However, there is no place to indicate an allergy or request minor modifications that are available in restaurants. For example, a scramble or soft scramble instead of an omelette (same ingredients) or to request condiments (example, you’re staying in a hotel and don’t have any ketchup). There should be at least an order notes section so people can make minor, no-cost impact requests. It’s a waste of time for busy restaurants and customers to have to call and possibly miss the window of opportunity.

Please fix display to use entire screen width. Please fix this app. I don’t know if it’s because I have an iPad or what, but: After selecting the location, the screen is blank except for a box in the top left you have to select to actually display anything. Then, when you select it, it only brings up the menu in the left 1/3 of the screen. So, you can’t see very much of the menu, as it’s only using a small portion of the screen width. Doesn’t anyone else have this problem? Please fix and use the entire width of the screen to display the menu. Also, why not display the menu (in the entire width of the screen) right off the bat, without having to select the box at the top left from an initial blank screen.

Needs improvement. The app is good ordering platform to have especially during the pandemic. However it lacks certain things that would allow it to cater to consumers needs in a more effective manner. Certain items allow for customization because there are so many particular options but some things lack this option and you cannot write a note if you want any sort of specialization on the particular item. For example an individual can ask for extra crispy bacon or an extra egg while dining in but they cannot do that on the app because there is no option to specialize.

Good App, Could be great with some improvements. I really like the idea of being able to place my pickup order through the app. When we call our order in, they can never hear us well on the phone and our order ALWAYS ends up being wrong when we arrive. With the app at least it’s put in plain writing with less room for error if they read and follow it correctly. My major issue with the app is that you can’t relay special requests to the restaurant like you could in person or even over the phone. For example, I always request shelled eggs, scrambled lightly. There is nowhere in the app to specify this request. A comment or special request section might be helpful to accomplish this. The other issue that I have is that our local IHOP’s have specials that we can get if we order in person or via phone. The app doesn’t reflect that pricing, you have to pay the full price. If we are ordering menu items with no special requests, it is otherwise a really convenient app to have!

Overall IHOP online experience. First to start off, the fact that I have to use my credit card to buy a gift card to buy food is redundant and stupid. To me it’s seems like y’all just wanna scrounge up every prentice you can get. 2) The mobile website is messed up. I couldn’t even add a gift card as the payment method when I tried to order online. 3) I spent an hour trying to order food. I specifically wanted sausage in my omelette but for some reason, no food delivery apps have that option. Trying to navigate the mobile website was annoying. It kept giving me errors for blank information and I had to constantly refresh it.

Ihope IHOP reads this. The app was super responsive, very easy to navigate. It even accepted the coupon I used for my very first order, I added my payment information and it took it without hiccup’s. I’m so used to apps not working I am immune to the long wait time, calling into the business and having to place my order when human error is just as bad, over all i love IHOP, they put a lot of effort into the meals, the look of the business it doesn’t surprise me they got the app looking amazing and easy to use. Thank you to you all, for all your hard work!

This app is designed to take advantage of users. After selecting an option for how to receive your order, the app will randomly switch the option to “in store pickup”. Of course, if you’re not constantly checking, you will not notice this until AFTER you have paid. And I’d imagine it’s next to impossible to have a simple conversation with someone at the store to cancel your order. Thankfully the one time this interface tricked me I had used a coupon for a free meal. Also, once you back out of the order confirmation screen there is no way to get back to track order or contact your driver. If not for constant checking, I would have my money taken for nothing every time. I shouldn’t have to play some game to avoid being robbed by an international company. And it’s 2023 , there should be an Apple Pay option.

Needs improvement. The IHOP app is a good basic food ordering app but does have a few places where it could be improved. One place is to add in customization options other than the built in options. You could incorporate a note field where you could write in any type of customization, for example if you want real eggs as opposed to powdered eggs you normally have to ask them at IHOP to make that change but there’s no place to do that in the app. So no customization of any options that you would normally be able to make it a store can be done.

App works after all, service is weird.. The app works fine. However, this is across the app and website, if you place an order there is no way to view it. It will look like you have not placed it, it won’t appear in transaction history, and will not show you the coins earned from the purchase until you pick up your order. That is very bad, you already took my money there should be zero need to withhold the information until I receive the food, especially when we double check to ensure everything we ordered is included as restaurants often forget something. Every other restaurant lets you see the order you just placed, some even show you the status of your order or check you into a pickup parking spot. Unexpected from a chain as large as IHOP.

Restaurant ordering system down. Sometimes I go to order and build out my (family) choices, then only when I get to the very end it says the restaurant (the closest to me) is not accepting online orders. I tried calling the restaurant to ask about this and they sounded like they had no idea what was going on but said they would "reset" the ordering system. I waited ~5 minutes and still was unable to order, so we all ate frozen waffles at home instead of spending ~$50 for a family breakfast at IHOP. This obviously shouldn't happen -- presumably IHOP has data and monitoring of its systems and could find some way to alert a store manager when their system is down, or auto-restart the system, or better yet fix them so they don't go down in the first place.

Super annoying. Downloaded it in the restaurant and it tells me it can't find the nearest location. Can't seem to find any of the locations in the city. Quite useless in Edmonton.

Could be even better. I’m fairly satisfied with this app, however it just doesn’t give any options to modify the methods of payment before the final order screen and even then there’s no way to remove one that has been expired. If that were fixed, like adding it to the profile settings or something like that (like other food ordering apps) then this experience would be much easier and better.

App and online horrible. Hi i love ihop but i want to do an app order to pick up at the store and online it does the same thing, every-time i pick something from the menu and scroll up to confirm or choose a side it kicks me out the app and online. I can never make a order and when you go back in it does the same thing and you have to start the order again. I really don't want to order from another app like uber eats because it does not display the whole menu and they are always busy on the phone to make a order

Love it but could be better. I love ordering through the app and using the reward system. My only hang up is that there is no option for comments, requests, or substitutions!!! I love ordering the world famous pancake combo, yet I can’t order it through the app because the only options are hashbrowns. I prefer the breakfast potatoes instead. Items that have options are hard to order. Anything that has “options” are hard to order. I just wanted pain scrambled eggs but when I clicked scrambled eggs as my choice of eggs it too me to the option screen to give me the option to add cheese. I didn’t want cheese but couldn’t figure out how to order without cheese. The same thing happened when I ordered a drink. It forced me to the “options” so I had to order with no ice. I also didn’t see anywhere to add notes for special instructions. I wanted to say no butter for my waffles but wasn’t able to.

App in the Burger part of the menu need fixing. The app part of the menu need fixing because the complementary beverage you’re trying to provide which is really nice unfortunately on the menu you cannot select a beverage so you try to add it to your order and it says please pick a beverage but there is no beverage category to select and then if you add a beverage to your order as well it still doesn’t let you add one of the Burgers to your order still doesn’t work, because you still haven’t selected a beverage for the order for the burger

Why can i not order eggs with my full stack of pancakes?. So i noticed this issue with the app and the ihop website.. so heres an ordering issue: i want to order eggs with my full stack of pancakes.. yet there is no option to order eggs.. most combos come with eggs but if i want full stack of pancakes and to add 3 fried eggs i dont seem to find the option to order eggs with my meal.. instead my only option is to call in my order or dine in-if i want eggs.. if what i choose to order dont have them.. which defeats the purpose of using the app or website to order if i got to call in what i want..

No where to pay gave up delete. Choosing from the menu whether online or using this app hasn’t been a problem It’s when it comes time to pay for my order that has left me baffled. There’s no way to pay other than ordering a gift card. I know someone else with this app and they are not having this problem, because their app shows where to add your payment. Unfortunately after hours of me trying to find this option beyond ordering a gift card I just gave up and deleted the app altogether. It should not become a struggle to pay for anything.

Could of been a 5 star review. The app works fine but the only thing I have an issue with is when I tried ordering some food in advance, my total was $20 something dollars. I tried using a gift card that had a $10 balance on it. The app did not allow me to supplement the rest of the cost with a different payment method. Therefore I was not able to complete my order. If this issue gets fixed then I would definitely change this review to 5 stars.

The worst!. This app is the the worst! You cannot ask for anything “special” on your food items. So you are stuck with whatever the developer decided was the necessary items for a hamburger etc. If I go into an app an click “recent order” then order everything exactly as I did previously then I feel the it should be exactly the same. The default is for the customer to pickup the order. So if you want it delivered then you always have to change it to delivery. This is ridiculous. Of course nobody from my Ihop answers the phone. My rewards keeps kicking me out. When I log into the app and go to rewards it kicks me out. I tried to used my points last time. I had 20 points when I tried to use it for a reward it froze and it took it all the points. But we still had to pay for the food that I used to rewards for. When I deleted and redownloaded the app it’s still kicking me out of rewards. What’s going on. How am I supposed to use my rewards if it keeps freezing and taking my points and kicking me out. Can you guys fix this? It’s annoying.

Meh.... So tried the app tonight for the first time. I ordered several things. Two of which I did not get and didn’t realize until I got to my hotel room and by that time, I didn’t want to go back. I was charged for them, but not sure how to complain about it to the correct people. This app didn’t give an option to add condiments, but other apps like McDonalds or BWW will let you select them. I was asked if I wanted syrup and silverware. I didn’t need syrup but would have liked some ketchup. So things here and there could be changed.

‘Error validating basket’. Hi guys! Your app’s not working and there’s no way to tell you that it’s not working without leaving a bad review, which I hate to do. So I guess my first comment is: add a way for your users to let you know when things are broken from inside the app, bonus points if I can include debugging info along with my report. My main comment: I can add items to my basket (although it doesn’t seem to recognize some options — hash browns with cheese being one), but whenever I try to check out I get an error saying “error validating basket”, so I can’t proceed to pay or finish my order. I’d love to give you my money, but alas.

Amazing service, but a little confused. It was fast and easy, I went inside two minutes after my order time because I was driving from a little further than 15 minutes but it was an easy process, when ordering it asked what the vehicle looked like and the model but what’s the point if you need to go in anyway, but still recommend

App is fine, local store is not.. App is fine. Wish their stores were better, though. We have to drive to one 20 minutes away because the one down the street from us is always a horrible ordering experience. You cannot order drinks, and now they are only offering about 10 menu items to pick from, 7 of which are pancakes. IHOP, some consistency in your stores would be great.

I’m baffled. Burrito menu didn’t have any items—just “add sauce”. Doesn’t have Apple Pay. Doesn’t notify you when your order is ready (which is quite important considering mine is 30 minutes late). Can only add fountain drinks to meals instead of fruit juices. After I selected orange juice, I had to check the box to add the order even though it was the only possible selection. I don’t understand how people are rating this 5 stars. It’s not a 5 star app.

ApplePay and Custom Tip Amounts. Both of these need to happen. The weather outside is meh. I’d like to tip the delivery person more than 20% but the app doesn’t allow that. And ApplePay should have been implemented long ago. I’m usually ordering delivery before the rooster is up and I don’t want to have to crawl around the bedroom and wake people up to find my wallet. When all I really should have to do is double tap the button and ApplePay. Implement these changes and the app is back up to fully functional 5 stars.

Can’t leave a tip, lost pancoins, and ordered from the wrong location!. Why is there still no option to leave a tip at checkout?!?! I was just trying to place an order earlier and my Pancoin balance was at zero, when just last week it was at like 40-something. It even says that I’m logged in. What gives? Then I tried to place an order at a location that was a half a mile away, but for some reason the order went through to a location about 12 miles (and 40 traffic lights) away! Needless to say my food was cold after that ordeal.

Loyalty Rewards. I just downloaded the app, it was fine but in the end when I was about to hit pay I noticed there was a button for loyalty rewards, I clicked it and then it stated I didn’t have any loyalty rewards, so I tried to click the button where it states back, but it didn’t work it just stayed stuck, I had to close the app and try again. Also, I tried ordering it thru safari but it stayed stuck on the “confirm restaurant” feature. So not sure but the app needs to be fixed! Thank you!

Idea is there but execution is poor. I love that I can see the menu and probably make a regular order online, but when you advertise on your own app a 20% discount on your first online order “IHOP20” and the app won’t accept it (first 🤦🏻‍♂️) and then when you advertise that you can pay with an IHOP gift card and the app won’t take it (second 🤦🏻‍♂️) I wasted 20 min trying to make my order to in the end having to drive to the store and order directly there to be able to use my IHOP gift card. So get it together guys. I love IHOP but my first online experience with this app was a bust.

Easy online order and great customer service. Made feeding the family easy ordered ahead online, fast friendly pick up. Confirmation error. So we order from the app, everything went fine, got the confirmation email and everything and once we get to the store, they say they don’t have our order. After double checking the address and they had me call the number in the confirmation (which was their store), they still refused to put our order in. It wasn’t until I starting b****ing at them that they decided to call their manager and see what to do, the manager did not pick up, then they finally put it in . We have been waiting for our food for almost an hour now.

Unable to Tip & Unable to Substitute Items. I love ihop & eat here about once a week (at least). We tip at least 20% on everything even for pick up orders & the app does not give you the option to tip. The app also does not allow you to substitute items for one another. For example we are vegetarians & my boyfriend orders the egg & ham melt but likes to substitute the ham for tomato. The app does not give you this option. Love ihop & the convenience of ordering with the app but would like to be able to tip & substitute!

Wish the delivery button actually work. This app really should have the delivery option available when the store don't receives it as delivery. This is the first time I used this app and sadly I won't use it again. I was charge doing pick two times thinking that I have made a mistake the first time. The one good comment I will say is that the store where the food was being made was very friendly and very understanding to cancel both orders. But this app really shouldn't have a delivery option when it simply can't do delivery. Very disappointed do get this app if you want your food to be delivered.

Errors When Using Pay & Go. This application does not work properly with the pay and go function. It gives an option for Apple Pay, but it doesn’t work; it just takes you to a blank screen. When you manually enter your credit card number, it processes the payment and charges the card, but the application comes back unknown error. Fortunately, the restaurant shows the bill has been paid. This could be a five star app if you can get the pay and go fixed. Thanks!

No iHoppy Hour. This store, in addition to two others in our area, did not honor the iHoppy hour that is to run from 2-10pm for dine-in or take out - according to the website. The manager stated that the iHoppy could only be honored for dine-in although the dining room was closed. What a shame ... iHop has the product and is attracting the customers but the service (or lack thereof, is robbing them of their own bottom line.

Be sure to triple check your order. I usually don’t have issues with the app, but the last couple of times it has left items off of my purchase. I should not have to go back multiple times throughout the order process to ensure that my items have not fallen off. Also, it would be nice if 1. Your offered a comment section to make requests like extra condiments 2. You added turkey sausage to the menu so I don’t have to call in and order after using your app. It really diminishes the quality of the user experience.

Extra's / Comments. Maybe add a box for *Notes*. Everytime I order my breakfast on my way to work...I have to look in the bag and make sure there is a whipped cream container and 1 out of 10 orders have it. So I'm wasting my time waiting for the whipped cream as I'm on my way to work That's the reason I use the mobile app. If there was a box to add comments, I could just ask to make sure it's in the bag. Or maybe I would like a large sweet tea but without ice but I also want just a cup of ice to go with my tea. The tea will last me most of the day at work by doing this. Again, if I put my order in through the mobile app, I will have to wait for my drink with no ice and then a cup of ice, when i could've just added a note to my orderl and it could've all been ready for me when I get there. Thank you for listening to my issue with the app!!

Lost my points. The app ruined my points after I collected enough points I tried to redeem for a sandwich and then it wouldn’t accept my payment I tried several methods and cards to finish paying, then I closed the app and tried to do it from the top but it said I already used the points that day and when I went to the store to see oh maybe the order did go through but I never got any confirmation with the app but they never got it either I tried the customer service page but that went nowhere not sure if I should try again

Weak app, good program. The pancoin program is alright once you know the rules of the road (one coupon per visit, one earnings per day, etc., etc.). The app, is fair at best. Simple true, no need to complicate things, but lately… iHop sent an advertisement (automated notice to my phone). Ever since the dreaded RED SPOT NUMBER won’t go away. No indication on the app why the red count is showing clicking every possible button or link changes nothing. Deleting the app and reinstalling only removes the red count momentarily it comes back within a minute.

Expensive. Not gig friendly. Inept.. For delivery, the app redirects your order through DoorDash, charges you a $7 fee and then expects you to tip the store. I have no option to tip the driver, who always does a good job, the actual IHOP? Never. I’ve tried, I’ve given cordial feedback to the store. Still, they persist with ALWAYS GETTING SOMETHING WRONG. The worst part is: there is no way to rate JUST the food like the doordash app and rate the delivery separately. It’s a combined deal via text. Far too many “fees” for such poor quality. I’ve had the wrong omelette, sides, pancakes and eggs come. It’s about a 50% accuracy rating. I cannot recommend an app that does not work as intended.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Downloaded the app because I saw you get 20% off of your first order, the app said the coupon didn’t exist. Then, it kept declining my card saying my information was wrong even though the money got taken out of my account three times. After using a different card, I hit place order and somehow it changed from delivery to pick up. Then when I called the restaurant to cancel, no one answered until the second time I called. The charges on the first card were returned but the one on the second card wasn’t even though I cancelled the order. Never using this app again.

Needs work. Ihop uses doordash for deliveries on this app. Their drivers cannot see the order. Ihop has two printed receipts, one for the kitchen, and one at the front counter. The one at the counter does not show drinks. So when the driver picks up the order drinks usually are forgotten by the front worker because they are not on their receipt. I used this app for deliveries 20+ times. My drinks have been missed about 1 of every 4 orders. Ihop needs a better system of making sure the orders go out correctly.

Not worth it. The app is super glitchy and kept crashing over and over. My brother and I were finally able to submit our order and noticed that there was no tracker or anything to tell you when your order would be finished. You just assume that the time you selected is when your order will be ready. We went to pick up our food and had to wait an extra half hour for pick up. Seems like this was a rush job to get out and they left out a lot of stuff to put out a garbage app.

App doesn’t work. I miss the days when I could tap the menu button and actually see a menu. With this new version of the app, I have to decide whether it’s pick up or delivery even though I plan on eating in the restaurant. Then I have to decide which restaurant and when the meal should be ready. After all that, finally I’m able to see the menu. I sometimes like to decide what I’ll be ordering before I get in the car. The app should be updated again to include a dine in selection which should automatically open the menu.

Wish I could add notes. I was able to order, but even signed in to the app, I had check out as a guest (type my info again). There is also not way to make special requests like adding extra cheese to my omelette. I wish you had more customization options or be able to add notes at the end. It would be awesome if you could one click repeat a prior order like you can on the Jimmy a John’s app. Not bad, but needs some tweaking to make it more user friendly and intuitive.

Unable to access stack market on iPhone app. This app is great and all but I really want to get rewards with my pan coins in the stack market section on my iPhone but when I try to access it, the app says that the “ data could not be read because it is not in the correct format”. I don’t know what that means? Do I have to go to the website version and get my rewards there or what?

One itty bitty thing. I’ve used the app to order for my family and it works a charm. I have food allergies though, and there’s no place to mark that. Most other similar apps have a notes section when you finalize your order. That would let me (and others) be able to note that on the order. Also, could you make the allergy info available in app? That would be perfect, thanks!

No payment method?. I wanted to ordered online (not use Grubhub or Postmates to save 10-15 bucks), created a profile, tried to order delivery.. got error saying “no billing account specified”... tried again, nothing. Checked settings, no place to enter payments methods. Decided to try the app... downloaded, signed in, went to settings to see if I could pre-save my payment info... can’t change anything except name? Tried to order with app, got all the way to “place my order” and nothing. The “place my order” button doesn’t do anything. I feel like I just fell for the longest joke..

Yeah, no.. I get why it’s desired to have customers create accounts. It provides more information that can be sold. That’s what I think the minute I realize the menu is walled off for only those willing to create an account. I’m all for needing an account to put in an order but to simply look at the menu? I was gonna have ihop for breakfast I just wasn’t sure what I wanted and this app despite not allowing me to even view the menu actually helped me decide what I wanted to have for breakfast anything but IHOP. Ever consider how many sales you lose by preventing the menu from being seen? At least 1. I’d wager more.

Lisa at Shops Way IHOP - Northborough MA. Best waitress ever - cheerful even late at night. Lisa is a treasure - and IHOP struck gold when they recruited this gal. You just can’t teach hospitality - it’s a trait your born with. She has it. Still, I’d like to see her training all the waitstaff in the region! Fresh coffee and hot cakes - steaming omelets and hashbrowns - all in an immaculate restaurant. Last but not least, she said: “I have an amazing General Manager!”....how many servers praise their boss to the guests. I’m amazed. I’m giving six stars!

Using the ihop app. Using the ihop was much better and easier way to place an order than using the online ordering web page. I tried to place an order on the web page and 45 mins later still couldn’t get the an order in. With the app on my phone 5 mins. Over all using the app was easier, faster and user friendly.

Missing certain features. The pay system would be a lot easier if you incorporated Apple and Google Pay. You also should add a feature to allow users to tip the drivers. I don’t often carry cash on me and so I have to stiff the driver because I don’t have a way to do it on the app. The receipt is also missing apartment numbers and the note area during checkout is broken, so I can’t add any notes to make sure that the apartment number is included. The local restaurant is not very good at quality control. Several times things are missing or prepared not as requested. I am afraid to order from them again.

Getting better still but need more side choices. The App is definitely improving but we still need a lot more choices for side items. For example, when ordering a burger I should be able to choose hash browns or red skin potatoes in addition to all other sides available in the restaurant. Thanks for working to make the app better like recently giving us more tipping options. That helps a lot. Thanks!

Latest Version Cuts Off Bluetooth Audio. This is a well made app. Very simple to use, and haven’t had many issues with it. But, with the latest version, every time I open the app, while in my car, with Bluetooth on and streaming music, the audio cuts off. I can restart it while the app is open, it’s just annoying. Hopefully they’ll resolve it on the next update.

Payment methods needs fixing. The app doesn’t allow you to use a gift card and debit/credit card in the same order. Please fix! I also wish that it had a section at the end for tip. Other than that, it’s a great app. I love that I don’t have to call once I’m at the curbside for pick up. It already sends out the alert and keeps me updated every few minutes until the food is brought out.

App is trash. It looks nice but has limited functionality. I can go to a physical location and really customize my order. I can’t do that here. That annoys me. I may not want meat as a side but would rather have something else and I cant do that with the app. For some reason you can’t add a debit or credit card for payment. That’s annoying as well because the turn around time for receiving the gift card is horrible. My recommendation is to find out how customers really use the app as well as look at what works with its competitors.

Can’t change password. Sadly they are requiring all customers to change passwords due to security concerns, but if you use common email services like yahoo it takes hours to receive the email and the link is expired. Haven’t been able to use the app for three days. Called guest services and there is a recording saying they know about the problem and are actively working on it and to hang up. Apparently IHOP has confused deterring hackers with deterring loyal customers from using their service and could care less.

App makes me eat at iHop less. The last three times I’ve eaten at IHOP I can never get credit for the purchase. I find myself feeling like I’m missing out and my previous loyalty to IHOP has been replaced with feeling cheated and I’m missing out. IHOP needs to fix their issues. The restaurants haven’t been trained on how to deal with it and can’t provide answers. Customer service can’t pull up the purchase to provide credit without the original detailed receipt, even when paying with the app. They don’t see the transactions.

Easy to use but 1 suggestion!. First order was easy except when you order pancakes, there is no place to modify the order or add comments. I needed to have them NOT put butter in the order bc my child cannot eat butter. I had to call the restaurant and tell them to do that. Just need to add that feature to your ordering process. Other than that super simple to use!

Where’s my receipt?. I paid using your mobile app (because service was extremely slow…) but didn’t get a receipt sent to me AND I don’t see any info in your app! Where is this hidden? I know you took my payment because it’s pending in Apple Pay but it should be obvious to your team that isn’t sufficient to show I paid for the food I just ate! Didn’t someone get killed for not paying their ihop bill?
