Account problems. I’ve been using the card for a couple months now, and I have no complaints regarding fees or money transfer, my main issue is with the security of the card itself. This is not the first time that this has happened to me. Somehow somewhere someone is getting access to my account and making payments. For security reasons, I withdrawn my money from the account and called costumer service to have that checked and closed, they did so and after a couple days I’m back again waiting for over 30 to get to customer service so the can explain to me how after I closed my account I am still receiving alert messages than I’m spending money in state I don’t even live or have ever visit. So if pleas someone can pick my phone call or get back to me, it’ll be highly appreciate it. Best regards, D

Vault has a daily limit. I was a big fan of GoBank up until today. I am stuck at a gas station right now because I can’t access my own money out of my vault. This is because they have a daily limit of 10 transactions and after your tenth transaction you will not be able to access your money for 24 hours. I was not aware of this nor were there any warnings of this occurring. I called and spoke with a rep and was also transferred to a supervisor by the name of Josie. She told me I have no choice but to sit at the gas station for the next 24 hours until she can get someone above her for me to speak with. I asked her 3 times to make sure this is what she was suggesting me to do. After I speak with someone above her and remove my money from this account I will no longer be a member of this company. I’ve never had this issue with Netspend. They are another great company to use besides GoBank.

Great App. I’ve been using this app for three weeks now and have been quite impressed with the options available and how easy they have made it to use. I do wish that they had a separate feature for Uber drivers, One that would allow any and all additional savings that you earn to go into a separate savings section, such as the 5% you save on gas and the additional savings from grocery stores, etc. it would be nice to have all those additional savings to go into a separate account to build just like a regular savings account. Why am I mentioning this here, because unless I missed it that is one feature that they do not have on their app, a suggestion box or any area where you can provide questions or feedback of any kind. Other than that, great app!

HORRIBLE CS DURING PANDEMIC!!!. I’ve been with GoBank for over a year and never had an issue in fact I’ve spoken so highly of them to people that they’ve opened accounts with them. So it was disheartening to try and access my funds today so I could do my usual budgeting and get gas because I Uber, and find that NOT ONLY was the app down, but the webpage as well, and to add insult to injury the phones had been disabled....during Coronavirus, where millions of people are out of work and rely HEAVILY on the little funds they have left. Not only am I not able to buy gas, I’m not able to work on an empty take or an empty stomach. This is horrible display of how you truly view your customers. Once this is fixed I will be canceling and I expect every dime returned to me. I would never recommend again and will be reporting this company along with the many others they’ve upset during this time as well, I’m sure.

Not A Real Bank. Two important transactions were not covered resulting in fees and a hit on my credit. I was only made aware of these transactions issues by the vendor. Upon checking, the funds were available and after reaching out to GoBank via phone and emails, no one could (or was allowed to) explain what happened, why it happened or how it could be corrected. This account is fine if you want a play account for your Uber driving money (which is how I ended up with this account) but they are not a true bank. Many institutions do not recognize them. This means that you cannot simply access your funds. Instead you have to move your money to financial transfer companies like CashApp or Venmo. Then you can move your money from there to other locations. Their affiliates that allow you to deposit money charge you a fee for those deposits and they only except cash. The ATM only allows you to withdraw $500 per day. You do get some change back on certain purchases and you are allowed to go negative by $100… except for when you are are not allowed to. Customer service is available all the time, but they cannot help you with anything involving your banking issues. They can help to add to the confusion though, so they do help in that department. Basically, only use this for your play money.

Bad App with Bad Support. This app looks nice, looks like it would all be simple to set up and interact with. However If you experience issues you will not get them resolved, because they don’t know how to resolve them. In trying to set up mobile deposit, I could not get my id to be recognized by the app (despite taking clear photos on a dark surface without glare) I deleted app and re-downloaded it a few times, got either could not verify ID or unable to access the feature. So I then Tried to reach out to their support thru the app-1st on phone, then on browser-both times while logged in to my account- got Error messages there too! So I reached out via Facebook. Absolutely no support and was told to deposit my check elsewhere. Which to me translates to “we can’t help, we are not going to try to help, we want your business but we can’t offer any redeeming qualities to why you should want to do business with us.” I will indeed take my business elsewhere.

Very simple and convenient to have. I like this bank alot, I use this card nearly everyday lol and I don’t get locked out or never had anyone tell me I’m using it too much or can’t take a certain amount off, NO OVERDRAFTS and this is still considered a checking account, I can do certain things that wouldn’t be accepted with a regular debit card and avoid expensive fee all because I don’t have a debit card, like apply for credit, no extra fees when paying electric bill, pay my rent with a real check instead of a money order, This has helped me out a lot and has been a real convenience to me. I will say that I had a check once and used the feature online to take a pic but the 7 day wait for my check was horrible and I never used that feature again. Lol sorry but I get 2 direct deposits and just swipe, atm fees are way too expensive, I payed like 5 for taking $20 off, please do something about that... also Walmart cashiers sometimes mess up and I wish there was a branch, instead of adding $100 I’m out of $100 because I have to go dispute it and I know there’s very little Go bank can do, I would think green dot would have branches by now since they are so big. But other wise I like this card a lot has helped me get a credit card and take away some fees for having a checking account.

Got this through Uber , but doesn’t work at gas stations. I got this account through Uber for the purpose of getting gas discounts. Which you know is great 1.5% to 3% cash back on gas. Plot twist it does not work at 90% of gas stations in NJ. All the gas stations that charge directly at the pump you know when they put a hold and it shows up as $1 for a day then charges you the real amount - those don’t work. It only works when you go a gas station that has a separate machine where they charge you the total after you put gas. Needles to say, this was not explained to me ever and I am currently stranded with no gas :) Currently walking to an ATM location to take out some money to walk back to the gas station to put gas in cash, with no cash back obviously lol.

Just a little help here.... I lost my card and I reported it lost but I just got locked out of my account for changing my address and cell phone number. I received an email to send a picture of my ID to verify who I say I am but they want my card number... how am I supposed to give them my card number when I lost my card? Or do they mean the new card #? I tried calling customer support but I only get a machine which is frustrating!!!! I want to talk to a HUMAN!!! There’s no email support address or anything so I’m just sitting here wondering what the right thing to do is.. Other than this incident i really like using GoBank. Both my husband and my self use GoBank I like that we can stash money and transfer money to each other through the app hassle free it’s nice.

Haven’t received card. I cannot recommend this bank as I have yet to receive my card, and I have no way of fixing this issue. If a developer is reading this, please contact me. I registered for a card a couple months ago. It was supposed to arrive in a week or two. The app let’s you track your card, but all it says is that it’s on the way and does not provide a tracking number. You can go to support on their website. They don’t provide any support via live chat or email. They don’t provide any email addresses to contact them period. Their phone support does not help as you need to have an activated card number to use it and speak to anyone at all. Feeling pretty stuck right now, and I can’t help but feel amused at this flaw in GoBank’s design. Seems shady tbh. And I gave this company my SSN... Writing a review seems to be my last avenue for getting to speak to a human at GoBank aside from mailing them a letter to their physical address.

Great Backup Card. Overall good, only have one, so far I have not found a free ATM to withdraw funds out of my card from the list of free ATMs within the app, they all try to charge a fee. The first time I took out money I got fee from the ATM provider and a fee from GoBank and only got returned one fee from GoBank and not the other. So I only use the debit card for depositing money to make payments or small purchases. Would be nice to have at least ONE location with a free ATM and I would make sure to go to that place only. Still gave a five star rating cause it’s only my first issue and they deserve my explanation of the issue. But if I get a second issue, I don’t give a four star rating but down to a three star. VAULT DISAPPEARING.. I will never recommend. I wouldn’t recommend this bank to any one at all.. I like to transfer all my money to my savings which they call the vault and whatever I need to spend I will transfer back over to my checkings, so sometimes the vault will disappear and you can’t transfer your money, when this first happen I was so upset I was stuck on the road trying to purchase a Uber and I couldn’t transfer my money from my vault to my checking because the vault wasn’t there it just disappeared which was weird I thought the bank took all my money so I called them and they said it was nothing they can do about it I should check later to see if it’s fixed it wasn’t fixed until the next day.. I’m canceling this bank because of that I was stuck outside trying to find a ride for 3 hours what if something happened to me during those 3 hours I had money in my account that I couldn’t use because of this bank I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BANK it’s stressful wondering everyday if your vault disappeared again with all your money and what your going to do if you can’t use it... and there customers service do not care about you they will tell you anything get you off the phone so if you still want to get this bank just be prepared for ALOT of issues...

Still Unable to Check Balance or Log in to App. Update 2: I still cannot access the account through the app. Worst customer service I have experienced yet. Update: I cannot access the website or use the app at all. Not sure how to "contact" you other than giving this app its justly deserved 1 star. It's unfortunate that a copy/paste response from you clearly demonstrates your lack of concern for a working product. Will be sure to tell every person I can how bad the app is so that others will NEVER have to deal with you and your terrible product. Very disappointed that I even have to leave a review like this for any service! Initially the app worked very well. I was able to check my balance and transaction history quite quickly and easily. Now the app simply hangs on startup. The app loads up as if I am a new member, and the only button "Get Started" is greyed out and does not work. I have been unable to access my account for over a week now. Extremely frustrating and inconvenient. Also, previously I would get almost instant notification that a purchase had been made, now the app sends me a notification up to 24 hours later! Half of my transactions aren't notified through the app.

I love it!!!!. Seriously- Go bank has got to be one of the coolest banks out. What I love most is the budget feature, the stash vault and the fortune teller😂. I get a kick out of asking the teller if I can buy something. I enter the amount of the item(s) and then all my bills fall in front of this cute little dog in the app and it looks at me and then walks off. 😂🪄 basically telling me - “girlfriend, you ain’t got the money for that” lol but when my account is doing well and bills are paid and money is being saved the fortune teller pup will let me know it’s ok to buy. I struggle with financial literacy- I grew up with parents who didn’t budget and mismanaged causing us to struggle even though they had good jobs. This app is really helping me learn how to save in the most fun ways. User friendly, kicks those abilities to save into gears, gives you daily reminders on your money goals… I am super pleased with this bank and app. Oh! I also earn so much money back!!!! I was with chime for yearsssssss and I never earned a penny!! With Go bank I earn maybe $1-$3 every day just making small purchases. Love this bank- if you’re thinking of using it… go for it 👍💕

It’s okay but the maintenance is a PAIN. My wife and I use this card all the time. Transferring money to family and each other is a breeze and a real convenience. HOWEVER, the fact that they do “maintenance” on such a frequent cadence is a real inconvenience for us. Due to the fact that we have money stashed that we don’t want to over use while we do our daily spending. But whenever GoBank is doing “maintenance” we are unable to unstash our money. And that feature of unstashing is down for HOURS!! When we called customer service about this in the past, they give us the generic answer of “there is nothing we can do due to our system performing it’s routine maintenance”. If customer service had some kind of work around while this “maintenance” was going on, such as having the ability to unstash our money for us from the back end, then this wouldn’t make this such a huge deal for us. But because of the ability of unstashing is down during their “maintenance” we’ve found ourselves stuck at grocery stores, restaurants, and other places of business not being able to leave because we can’t pay for our bill. PLEASE FIX THIS AND THIS WOULD BE A FLAWLESS APP!!

⚠️ Mobile Deposit takes 10 days, unauthorized charges takes 15 days. ⚠️ Please read this review clearly as I would never use this bank ever again❗️This bank is dangerous❗️This is a warning❗️I used the mobile deposit feature to deposit a $300 check because GoBank promise most checks usually clear within the next or 5 business days. I trusted GoBank, but it has been 10 days!! The checks still have not cleared! I called GoBank 4 times to try to cancel and they won’t. I keep getting an error when trying to send an in-app message. This is extremely excessive and very frustrating! My local publix would have cleared my checks within minutes! This was absolutely the worse mistake I have ever done. I would NEVER wait 10+ days for a check to clear, this is not 1996! This is 2018!! I’m fed up of this bank! ⚠️ Another terrible incident I was in: I had an unauthorized transaction for $400 in March. I had to dispute through a paper form which I had to mail. It took two entire weeks to get my money back!! I was literally out of $400 for 15 days! I was scared they weren’t going to give my money back. Unbelievable! Please stay away from this bank. The moment my checks clear I am immediately deleting this app... 10 days for a check to clear and 2 weeks to get your money back? No thank you. Please avoid GoBank, unless you want to wait weeks for your money.

“Problem connecting” for several days. For the past 3-5 days, I’ve been getting the message “There was a problem connecting to GoBank.” whenever I try to use the app. The website is working okay, but the app is totally shot. It started with being able to get to the log in screen, but I’d get the error message when I tried to log in. Now, I can’t even get to the log in screen. I just get the error message the second I open the app. When the app is accessible, it’s great, but it’s useless to me right now. This is a bad time to have the app malfunctioning. A lot of stores won’t take cash because of the coronavirus, so I’m having a hard time making deposits. If the app worked, I could deposit a check instead, but now I don’t have that option either.

Why does the developer not actually tell their customers what they’re updating?. Why on earth, seeing that it is indeed 2022 and the iPhone 13 (Pro, Max and Regular versions) are abound that the only thing the developer can post when updating the app is: Version History 2.38.0 1d ago We've made some fixes and now support the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. 2.37.0 2mo ago We've made some fixes and now support the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. 2.36.0 3mo ago We've made some fixes and now support the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. 2.35.0 6mo ago We've made some fixes and now support the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. 2.34.0 /mo ago We've made some fixes and now support the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. 2.33.0 7mo ago We've made some fixes and now support the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. And so on….. all the way back. Ridiculous. Simply tell your customers what got updated. Or at the very least communicate that you’ve fixed some bugs - at the bare minimum change your version history to be the most updated iPhone. It appears that you either don’t care to share what you’ve actually done to the app, or do not wish to share any improvements to the app with your customers. If you want customers to appreciate new features and/or functionality and/or bug fixes, then simply say what you’ve added so the customers may enjoy new features, investigate them, and provide proper feedback. That is what a healthy developer does to improve their app.

Best Prepaid and Mobile Bank Available. I see bad reviews for petty reasons what more do you want for a easy banking experience with no fees or penalties: if you’re looking for all the luxuries of a expensive bank with a checking and SAVINGS well than go irl and go through the hassle! And to complain about the stash and unstash functionality is ridiculous maybe you need to have more self control on your own money handling issues because all the reasons that this bank does is to protect you and you’re money from theft!! Now for my reasons is quite simple I can load free at wal mart or a simple 5 dollar fee at other locations; yes there’s a fee for atm withdrawals but another simple way around that is to get cash back at a register which is amazing since all other cards I tried before run as credit! Gobank gives u a real pin and debit function; also my gf goes out of state once a year and now she has a account so we can send money from each other in the matter of minutes and for free! Now I don’t have to go to all the headaches of western union it’s as easy as sending a text message and bam she has money and I don’t have to worry about her and my son being without any! I can say lots of other Positive reasons but I’ll keep this short as I can cause other than expensive banks and other horrible prepaid “banking” the Choice is easy this a Winner Of A Mobile Banking option A++

Swindlers frauds, will not protect your money!. I just received word they denied my claim that there was fraudulent activity on my account. I was traveling arriving in LA. And trying to purchase a night while there. All my money was wiped from my account. I called go bank they didn’t seem to interested in helping me, the sense of urgency was not there anyway. I followed their instructions, and even though I was practically homeless on vacation, they couldn’t be bothered. I waited 14 days to hear back and nothing. Only reason I found out was because I called. They denied my claim and said I had to wait for a letter explaining why. I’m so effing angry and I’m going to file a complaint. If there is anyone out there like me, I suggest you do the same. Go bank must pay for this gross and unethical practice. They will not protect you. Please file a complaint. I sure will be promoting this on all public media. peace!

Zero star if I could. Over $20,000 stolen in less than a week. They say that the bank is “secure” but apparently it isn’t. I called the fraud department and while I was on the phone there were 3 charges on my account all over $2,000. The worst thing is the charges were in a state over 900 miles away. They told me that they couldn’t do anything about it and hung up. Worst customer service hands down. When you ask them to transfer you to another operator because you can’t understand them they start cursing at you and become racist towards American people. It took almost 5 months to finally get my money back and as soon as I did, it all happened two more times. $20,000 first time, $3,500 the second time and about $18,000 the third time. After the first incident I was in the process of trying to take my money out of the bank to close my account when the second happened. So had to wait another 90 days for refund before closing. Afterwards tried again to take everything out and once again money disappearing. This time it took only about 30 days. And while they try to get everything back they close the account transfer to another account and give a new card. So happy to be away from this app and bank. Zero out of 5 star review. They don’t care at all. 0/5

Uber Business Uber Debit Card. This bank is despicable. The factor that Uber is using them for the Uber business debit card is an awful awful decision on Uber’s part.. I have been trying to get my Uber debit card updated for 3 1/2 to 4 months. I have done all the research and figured out what the problem is but no one is willing to fix it when I go to the bank they tell me that I have to get a new card at Walmart called the GO2bank when I get that card and now I have three of them that are worthless because when I go to Uber they tell me they have no idea what I’m talking about and then they say you have to login to the GoBank app GoBank will not let me log into their app because they said that program has been terminated when I go back to Uber Uber tells me you got to go back to GoBank I am missing out on all of my benefits as an Uber driver and I actually have done everything that they’ve asked and like I said it’s been 4 1/2 months they are very very difficult to work with and they do not care plan simple

Terrible Customer Service!! Don’t do it!!! Not worth the incompetence!!!. Update... over 3 weeks and the “technical department” is still unable to fix my issue of not being able to use the app to make check deposits... no one calls back “ever” with any info or possible resolutions.... the only time I hear from anyone is when I call and get the runaround for 20 minutes while I ask for a manager who I’m eventually allowed to speak to which still has no idea or information on how to fix the issue!! This is an “online” bank correct?? How are we to use an online bank when the “app” which is their brick and mortar isn’t working correctly??? Absolutely unbelievable and belligerent!!! App does not allow me to do a check deposit... Took screenshots of msg and sent it to customer service as requested.... never got a call back... called and was told “the issue has been resolved”, uninstall and reinstall app and it should work”... did that and it does not work!! Was hung up on 2x, the last of which was ”Jonathan” who was utterly incompetent!! Whatever your reason for considering getting this account, don’t do it they can’t / won’t help you once you have an actual issue, it’s not worth the aggression!!!

NO. GoBank really let me down. I’m a truck driver and only get home once a month. They FAILED to mail me my new debit card in time and now my current one is expired. I’m having to use cash right now. I’m trying to get home before my cell service goes away from the bill not being able to be paid. And what’s worse? They add insult to injury by not allowing me to link the account to my PayPal account saying there’s “bad instrument,” so I have to have a working card to route any money to or from the stupid account. I had to say my card was lost or stolen for these morons to hopefully send me a new one. I’m stressed and on borrowed time. This has happened twice now. I’ve talked to their “support,” which are useless drones who just keep repeating a script over and over again without reaching over their heads to help me. STAY AWAY. Use a real bank or credit union. Don’t waste your time. They’re TERRIBLE!!! If I could give them negative 0 stars I would. GARBAGE!!!

Stay very far away from GreenDot-GoBank corporation. I have been a customer for more than a year. I keep my transactions simple since GoBank duplicate & deduct the same transactions in the account multiple times, it is very hard to understand. Yesterday,there was a direct deposit in my account , when I went to bed it was close to $500. When I woke up and ready to go to work, my account was $-294!! Keep in mind I had no pending transactions. When I called GOBANK , they said it was a display and IT error, it would take days to fix, they couldn’t do anything or help me recover the money because they do not communicate via phone, only thru email & it will take days to get a response from IT.....in addition the customer service rep on the phone hinged up on me. Meanwhile, I’m left stranded without a penny & gas in my car to go to work. GOBANK could care less.... they stole my hard earned money & left me stranded without money!!! RUN AWAY....KEEP AWAY FROM GOBANK, SEE THEIR REVIEWS ON GOOGLE TOO.

Bad Customer Service. I am unable to access to my account, then I called their customer service to ask for help. The registered phone number is the only one point I really cannot remember. I called twice. Both of the staffs insisted me to provide the phone number, otherwise, they did not let me pass the verification. I tried to explain and told them I could provide all the information that I had except the phone number, and asked the second staff to transfer my line to his manager in order to explain to his manager because I have money in the account. He really insisted his way and repeated the same sentence like a robot. I marked down his ID number and cut the line. When I called it again, I was told by the phone system the guy directly block my access to the customer service line. Wow! So Amazing! Because the guy treated me like this, I am not afraid to show his staff ID here. Staff ID:2!6!7!8!4!

Fix the bugs please. This app for the most part is good....but there are some annoying things that need to be fixed..... Like the fact that sometimes it takes forever for the app to start up or it will provide an error message and won't open at all. Also I have tried several times to transfer to another bank I have and every time I try it tells me there was an error and that I need to try again. I drive for Uber and so I constantly need to move money around.... But it just always seems to be an issue when trying to make a simple transfer.... Which means I have to go find an ATM and take the money out and then deposit the funds into my other account. Again the app is cool, but it's simple things like that that just kinda kill it for me

Uber Drivers Beware. I received my card within the time specified, but the perks you are supposed to get like cash back on fuel, car maintenance etc. is not going to happen. I have called both Uber and GoBank and Uber tells the GoBank rep that I am eligible GoBank says I’m not yet eligible for the perks? The perks are the only reason I got the card in the first place. But even worse is the customer service by GoBank which should be a negative 100. They are many online banks that operates as a true bank that works like Ally Bank or Aspiration Bank which I have before I ever Got a GoBank account. Since I work in Information Technology Security we know that numerous scams are facilitated using the green dot banking system, all you have to do is search google for green dot MoneyPak scams. So it does not surprise me of all the people making claims that money is missing from there accounts. All the people that is having a good experience with Greendot or GoBank we hope continue to have good experiences. The bottom line is be aware if you use them but don’t expect this to remain a good experience for the long haul. GoBank and it practices are nothing more than a payday loan type of company capitalizing on the misfortunate of people.

Do not use. Do not and I mean do not bank with this company. Their customer service is worse than horrible. I attempted to withdraw money from the one of the ATMs they suggest using and the Atm debited my account and did not provide the money. I called for file a dispute and it’s been over one month still no resolution. I provided the receipt from the atm saying the atm could not provide the money at the time and still no resolution. A provisional credit you ask, no, I have not even received one of those. I was instructed that IF the dispute took longer than 10 business days and I mail a letter to their P.O. Box that I could receive a provisional credit. I mailed the letter and during holiday season in a pandemic, they informed me they did not receive my letter within 10 business days. I was not made aware the letter had to be received within 10 business days. During holiday season of a pandemic, they received the letter on the 11 business day. I later found out that the letter could have been emailed which I would have done because who wouldn’t have. I called and called only to be received with long holds and empty promises. Christmas Eve I goto withdraw 300 and a month later during a pandemic, I still don’t have my money. They have no locations or no banks I can goto so instead I can only hope and pray. Do not bank with them please!!

SUPER EASY - NEVER NSF or OVER-LIMIT FEES. For those of you writing bad reviews.... when you first use the card out-of-state, or far away from your usual area, they lock your account for security to protect you. You call the automated system, and confirm the purchases, and they unlock your account immediately. This was 2 years ago, not sure if this functionality still exists. However, I must say I love this bank!!! Super easy to set-up & maintain, All through the APP.... never go to a Bank in person again!!!! I wouldn’t use any other bank ever again. NEVER get charged over-limit fees, or insufficient funds fees. This is the BEST part, along with snapping a photo and depositing your checks electronically and never having to go to the bank!!!!!!!

Impressive. I’ve had my Go Bank card for roughly two years now. I’ve had other similar cards as well, however, none have offered the accessibility or ease of understanding that this card & App offer. The only irritant is that my account is put on hold whenever I make a purchase out of state. I love this security feature. In my case, I regularly travel between 4 states on a monthly basis, and having to go thru the transaction verification process after a declined purchase is embarrassing, when I have a line behind me at the gas station. But like I said, it’s necessary and I do like the security....it’s just annoying sometimes lol. Thanks Green Dot Bank, this is great!

Stay FAR AWAY. So I’ve been uberkng part time for a year and a half, and I have my real jobs paychecks sent to this account because I can get them on Friday instead of Tuesday, great right? Well that’s where it ends. Customer service is useless. I called them three times about the same issue, it sounds like they are in an Internet cafe or a loud cafeteria. You can hear the other employees in the back ground. Well I call them because I usually transfer my real job paycheck into my chase account (for bills and such) and leave my Uber money in my go bank account (for going out), but suddenly after a year they get rid of the PayPal option when you send money. I tried sending it to my boyfriend and he even went as far as signing up for the bank to try to get my money so we could pay our rent, but it said my account was frozen. I called them and they said there was nothing they could do and I would have to wait a week to get my hard earned money. So now I have -1027 in my Chase account because they won’t let me have my paycheck. And they may or may not fix it. Do not under any circumstance use this bank. They will steal from you like they have me and many other reviews on this page.

Scam artists. I’ve had many many issues with this bank. The only reason why I have it is because I’m an Uber driver and I was paired with this bank as they were advertising it on the Uber Driver app to Uber drivers and giving us a reduced fee to transfer money into, I have caught them, stealing my money, holding back funds and deposits that were due back to me making transactions process extra long so that they can’t give me my money back into my account and they can hold it longer for interest reasons on my birthday. They double charged a car rental on my account a $1700 charge that they double charged they didn’t bother fixing it for five days on my birthday. My account was -$1300 for five days on the weekend and they simply wouldn’t do anything about it until the next business day and then they can clear the pending extra charges that is completely unacceptable. They even took longer than the timeframe that they told me they would fix it and it ended up being almost a week. Put your money in this bank. You will regret it guaranteed.

Checks take too long to clear, still no chip cards after years of customers asking. The app works fine, I have no issues with that. The wait for a check to deposit however is absolutely ridiculous for 2018. Any major bank can clear within a day or two, if not immediately. I just started working for a small self-employed business and they don’t do direct deposit. They pay me via check. Waiting an extra week for my money isn’t convenient or helpful. If there is an extra authorization step they can add to speed up the process, that would be amazing. Looking at their Facebook page, I’m not the only one who has asked when chip cards are coming. I’ve been turned away from a couple of businesses because some are going Chip Card Only. The customer inquiries for chip cards go back at least two years, and the GoBank people have been using the same auto response for two years. No personal touch or updates with clarity and honesty. I like using an online only bank, but I do really wish they’d catch up with the present day expectations and speed of banking. People are broke, guys, we need our moolah!

Banking. This is a good bank if you’re trying to have a secondary account. As a primary account, it’s very inconvenient. 500$ limit daily is a bit annoying unless you don’t use cash much. Also, if you’re waiting for a new card, they don’t give you alternative ways to access your money. With that being said, there should be expedited card shipping. I appreciate the security but not when the security prevents ME from accessing MY money. I sacrificed 5 years for this country and you won’t let me access my disability. Like, am I supposed to go stand on a corner so I can eat today? I can’t wait to close this account. Customer service is terrible, they make no effort to help solve the problem. I guess I can feel comfortable knowing my money is safe but I can’t put food on the table for my family. Even if I go out and do some Uber, I can’t access any of that money either. Poor preparation on my part, but, that doesn’t take away the fact that this bank is standing in the way of my money. Please, save yourself the headache and choose a bank that works with you on your problems, not against you. They haven’t offered a single solution to the problem. “Just wait for your card sir.” “There’s nothing we can do sir.” This bank doesn’t even deserve one star. Yeah, I’m mad. Wouldn’t you be if you’re bank prevented you from accessing it when you need it the most?

Pretty much anything you need in a checking account. The app is very convenient, the notifications every time something is charged are near instant, it’s quick and easy to schedule a payment for a bill and I have two free atm’s right next to work. My only small gripe is that if i want to put cash in my account I can only do it at a gas station for a fee. One of my local free atm’s is at a bank branch and if I had an account there I could use their atm to deposit cash but that doesn’t work for my gobank card. Other than that it’s been handy and done everything I needed it for.

I Used to Like GoBank. I deliver for UberEats and was given this card when I signed-up. We could cashout our earning for free and received 1% cash back on all purchases. I actually like this so much that I have serious thought to using it as my primary card, instead of the one my bank issued me. Fast forward to the present day. With UberEats ending their contract with GoBank, any delivery driver who is still using their GoBank card after January 1, 2023 will no longer be able to cash out for free and must now pay the deposit fee of 85¢ per cashout, the same fee as if you used your bank card. The 1% cash back on purchases will also be discontinued. As if all this isn’t bad enough, card holders will have to pay $8.95/month to keep their account. I decided that GoBank had nothing left to offer me and I decided to cancel my card. But, the customer support department took a long time to answer their phones and I notice that many other account holders are voicing the same complaint on GoBank’s Twitter feed. I was finally able to get a real person on the phone and my account was cancelled almost immediately. There was no money in my account, which made this easier. Having a look at the current Twitter feed shows many account holders posting complaints of unauthorized transactions posting to their accounts and not receiving timely responses from GoBank. It looks like this company is in a lot of trouble and I urge everyone to get out while they can.

Worst Bank Ever !!!. This bank lie to do any their brochures lies about everything about their bank you can’t get access into your account even if you don’t have the same number, they say that you can get your payday two days faster and that’s a lie they’re telling me that I have the tracking number or an hour for them to find my paycheck I am so sick of this bank is bank needs to be shut down green that is the worst bank and I refuse to work with this bank ever again. I’m also going to write this review on Google because people need to realize companies say one thing and does another green dot and go bank are the worst bank people need to realize they have poor customer service poor standard ship and poor leader ship I have as anybody who is banking with this app please know what you’re doing before you bank with them

Honestly pretty great. It functions as a legit bank. I have an uber visa card that as such needed to have a bank account linked to, and uber went with GoBank. I can stash all my funds in the event of a card theft/loss instantaneously, I have linked venmo, CashApp, and my rideshare food delivery apps to this bank and I have so far had ZERO problems!! I literally took time to write a review just because the simplicity of mechanics that the app provides is stellar, its stable and everything is easy to read and its laid out quite nicely. I legit enjoy checking this bank because of how easy I can just open and use Face ID to quickly navigate the entire control center. Love it!

Bill pay not working. I went to bill pay and put in the company when I put in the Acct # it gives me an error that I need to check the acct#. So I did another company. I received the same error. I went to get gas at Wawa and the card was declined, my account balance was 4 times the amount of the gas. When I do a customer care email, I never received a response after the auto response message. I called and the women AJ told me to check my account # again. I asked for a Supervisor because she was not understanding me clearly. She said no supervisor was available. I ask for her IT department she said they don’t have one. Then she said you can’t use the card as credit for gas only debits. I have to wait and withdraw my money so I can pay the bills and close this account. The bill company charge to use a card “go figure”. Bill pay and cash back for purchases was the only reason to I signed up.

Cash deposits are confusing. I moved to a place that doesn’t have branches of my primary bank so I opened this account as a backup to transfer money. It’s not terrible, my only complaint so far is that depositing cash is a pain. I went to a Walgreens and CVS location that were listed as GoBank retailers and none of them knew what I was talking about when I tried to deposit cash. I had to go to a Walmart to finally do it. It would be nice if you could skip dealing with clerks that don’t know what you’re talking about and just deposit the cash via the ATM like a normal bank. But this isn’t a normal bank so oh well. Also, it would be nice if the app gave you an actual address of the retailers they partner with as opposed to GPS coordinates. I don’t need directions, I just need to know it’s the CVS at 123 Main Street versus 133 Main Street because there are so many within the same vicinity.

App has stopped working.... So, I have GoBank Visa Debit card via Uber and I have been using the GoBank app on my iPhone for the past 6 months or so and it has been working fine. However, as of last week I can no longer use the app successfully. The app has stopped allowing me to log in during the first attempt. However, it will let me log in on the second attempt. Once I have logged into the app after the second or third attempt, it will not show me my account balance, account number, or transactions. However, if I log in on the website everything works fine. I have attempted to delete the app and reinstall it, and the issue continues to happen repeatedly. I tried to reach out to customer service and was told they were going to “check compatibility” for my iPhone and wasn’t really provided with any other information. It’s quite upsetting that this is happening because honestly before all this started happening I was actually really liking this app and the service.

Don’t trust the Free ATM finder.. Customer service is horrible. I searched for a free atm location as I’ve done in the past with no issues. This time I was still charged $5 for a “atm owner” fee. This wasn’t mentioned on the free atm location app. And my receipt says the Atm charged me $3.50. GoBank insist that they didn’t charge me anything for going to this bank yet my statement shows an extra $2 fee. I hope you never have to go through this because the best way for them to help is by saying. There’s nothing we can do. They don’t explain anything to you. They only repeat the “atm owner” fee thing which still doesn’t make any sense if you’re going to an atm on the free atm locator. No other bank I’ve had this issue. I’m afraid to use the “in-network” ATMs now because it seems like they will charge what ever they want to charge you regardless of being “in-network”

Worst bank, terrible costumer service ever.. Okay, this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had from a financial organization. I’m not even sure if GoBank is a standard bank or some household company. I received the Uber card for over 2 weeks now and I can’t even setup my acct. every time I called the customer service they kept telling me that I have to confirm my email through a link that was sent to me. Whereas I never received an email with a link, but they kept sending me email with promotions. They said the email with a link will come through a different email and that I should add it to my safe mailing list. Well, I can’t add the email when I never even received any email with that address in the first place. I tried to set it up manually using the card 16 digit, it kept saying the information I entered is wrong when am sure I entered the right information. You want to tell me that you don’t have a support person that can fix this. That must be a joke!!!

Terrible terrible terrible. I absolutely hate this phony fake bank !!!!!!!! I was a victim of fraud and these people asked for allllllll my information and had the NERVE to ask me to write a letter !!!! I provided nearly my life and still have to write a letter and wait ten business days for MY MONEY that was stolen from ME! How in the world are you even able to allow an unauthorized payment to go through on someone’s account where they don’t even live !!!! I never called and expressed I was leaving town to mini trip!! NOTHING!! So no excuses as to why that happened! Then I reload my card and they tell me I have to wait 30 freaking minutes to have access to my money !!!!!! What if I needed something urgently then and there and all they had to tell me was wait ?!?!? WHYYYYYY WHYYYY AM I WAITING FOR MYYYYY FUNDS THIS SO STUPID AND RIDICULOUS AND DUMB!!! I’m so angry and aggravated with this stupid non existent bank it’s crazy

All Bank Everything. I started using this app when I was doing Uber, but I don’t do that anymore, yet I can still use GoBank for any job I work for. It’s really convenient and easy to use and I haven’t had any problems with the app since I’ve had it, for about a year and a half now. I love this app because I don’t have to go through a corporate institution that charges fees up the a**. One feature I really enjoy and is helpful is the advanced pay, where I can get my check one or two days early. That really comes in handy. Thanks for being a user friendly bank and I hope to continue using for years to come. -Ray

Mobile App Rendered Useless. I am really disappointed that GoBank App will no longer allow you to make online bill payments nor track them via the mobile app. Customers now have to go to the main website. What’s the point of having a mobile app if you can’t take care of your finances on-the-go? I also do not like that Customer Service gives incorrect information on how to manage payees thru the main site. I was told I would have to go in and manually add each Payee (again!) even though this bank has paid each of my Bill Payee’s several times now. The Manage Payee only allows for deletion and does not let you edit the Payee information, nor does it allow you to see a list of the last 4 payments made to one certain Payer, a function that the online app used to do. When searching for a particular Payee, it will not find it by Payee name either as all Payees get listed under “ONLINE BILL PMT-(Payee Name), which brings up ALL online payments, not just the one you’re searching for. Very frustrating experience! Please bring back that feature to the GoApp!

Loved the app till..... I have had my GoBank account for over two years now. Absolutely love this bank! One of the best features is the bill pay, however, for the last 3 weeks now, it’s not an option on the app. What?? Why?? I had to get on my account on a computer and do all my bill pay! You really need to fix this!!! The convince of bill pay on the app was the best thing about this bank! Hopefully you can get it resolved quickly. Other than that, good banking app. Update: one more thing about the account. You can not use apps like acorn, or many other apps because they don’t recognize GoBank as a bank. So that’s a bummer. Will definitely keep my account for now and hope that the issue get fixed quickly. Or I’ll move to a different bank as most of my family already have.

Bad service. Horrible customer service! Overall the app is good for the simplicity factor. But if you ever call their customer service number, be prepared to call a call center in the Philippines where the employees only read from a script and forget to mention important information. Specific example: I called to have a new card sent to me (they send you a very thin card that demagnetizes easily with no chip) They fail to tell you that once they issue a new card they deactivate your current card, hold all activities on the account, and you will receive the replacement in 7 business days. (It’s been 3 weeks and I’m still waiting on my card.) luckily I had a real bank as a backup so I was able to redirect my money to that bank. I was told that the original “customer service” person should have explained everything to me, and sadly he did not. I had to cancel this account.

Unprofessional, unreliable, bootleg bank!!!. I’m so sick of this bank! Their system is always crashing and it’s so hard to get a hold of your own money! When you try calling them it’s like a 40-60 minute wait to get on the phone with someone and it seems like I always talk to the same lady!!! Also don’t loose your card!! This bank isn’t supported by Apple Pay so you have no way of using your money. I claimed my card stolen on aug 22 And I’m not getting it till sept 2nd! Other banks only take 2-3 days to get a new replacement. They don’t care about you not having your hands on your own money! The only good thing about this bank is you get early direct deposit but even that is starting to act up and they say it’s supposedly due to my “employer” so I don’t get my money till later. This bank is crap idk how a company like Uber can partner up with this unprofessional; unorganized bootleg bank! You’re better off getting a real branch that is professional and reliable with your money!!!!

Delay of Deposit.. Direct deposit was made on the 31st of Dec. We called to make sure that the check would be cleared by the end of the week since it’s a repeated transaction on the account. First of all, the gentleman that spoke to us is on the other side of the world (had to be Asian) his English was horrible. Unable to understand much since it’s so chopped. We managed to understand that the check was not going to be cleared until the 8th and he wasn’t able to remove the transaction to be able to the deposit the check cash. Something that are account would end up being closed for fraud. Unacceptable after a holiday, more that the fact it’s at the beginning of the month. Very disappointed with customer service.

Locked me out. I’m an Uber driver and loved the app and card until I received a message that my card had been reported lost or stolen. I had not reported my card lost it stolen. I tried to use it and it was declined. I had over $450 on it. I called customer service and was told that the replacement was automatic and my card was inactive and I would receive my new card in 2 weeks!!! I had been saving money for my grandkids birthdays which are In less than 2 weeks. I think it’s awful that without any warning they would just turn off my card. I’ve been using the app and card for 3 years and had never had a problem with it before. The least they could do would be overnite me a new card. Very unprofessional.

“Gobank pasted from Safari” - Sus. Why is this app pasting whatever I’ve got in my clipboard every single time I open it? Even updated the app to make sure it’s not a glitch. Very suspicious especially from a banking app. No respect for privacy. And I have video proof of this. For those who don’t know what this means - every time you open this app it logs whatever you’ve copied (as in copy/paste) without your permission - it does it automatically, every time you open it when it’s not already running. Totally unnecessary and suspicious from this kind of app. Best case scenario they’re targeting you with intrusive ads. Worst case they’re selling it to who knows. Write me back devs, explain yourselves, please!

Downloaded the app, can't get past the first screen. I just got my card and activated. So far, I have no issue with the bank itself, but when I go into the app, it just flips through the pictures with text stating the features of the app. There is something that says ”get starte” but it doesn't do anything. Under that, it says ”register a card” and ”sign up for a card.” I've tried clicking on everything, even the pictures themselves. Nothing. I will just delete the app and use the web site I guess. Update: still having the same issue with the app. Sometimes I can get it to work if I delete the app and download it again. The card itself is great, but I’d like to see my balance. The website often doesn't work for me either.

Love IT. I think Go Bank is Great ‼️ I haven’t had one minute of trouble or inconvenience. I use direct deposit I’m a government retiree. My money is always there before the first I pay my bills with pay bills. I have never had a problem with bills not reaching the payees on time. Never an over draft fee & I love the stash saving account my money is right there when I open the app I can see everything. Speaking of opening my account. I love the face ID. I know no one but me can get to my money.

Blocked and deleted/ drop this Bank ASAP !!!. Cashed out a 401 to this UBER bank card it got deposited. After deposit my birthday is different /account was blocked then canceled . Green dot said contact Fidelity they close an account when it’s cashed out. Make nowhere to send the money back. Tt at least 35 customer support/fraud. With GoBank. Can’t fix anything even after I sent them my DL. So I’m in the process of turning GreenDot/ GoBank into Fidelity's Fraud department. They asked me to give them 48 hours to see if thinks change. When I tt then my they can verify that it’s me by my voice. Real banks put holds on large checks. GoBank blocks and deletes an account and treats you like a criminal to protect your money.

Fast an easy. I love this app I can pull up my account as I’m checking out at stores, always notifies me of any transactions to verify I authorized it! Super easy to use great for kids too, I can see how much money my kids spend an where and my favorite part I can stash their money to help them learn the importance of saving. Traditional banking has always let me down so this is the only way to go!

Shoddy security or something. I’ve had a GoBank account for seven (7) years, and I’m deleting the app and magnetizing the debit card for my kids to play make believe with. After being a customer for so long, why this? Well, because the ability to deposit a check has been hung up in ID verification for months, customer service is practically impossible to reach, and it’s just not that worth it as an extra bank account any longer. When deposits were easy, I had it linked to my PayPal, had a custom debit card, deposited my serving checks the night I got them, and often had the money released into my account by the time my shift was over. Now it seems they don’t think I’ve ever made a mobile deposit and keep asking for my ID and then, when submitted, say ‘we can’t verify that’ and I’m left unable to deposit my check, so I cash it, and can’t build my balance again. So - good? It was. The ATM network is awesome, but only good if you can actually use the account you have.

Poorly designed!. On transactions page, half of the page gets covered by large banners of “View e-Statements” and “File a Dispute” which you may accidentally hit when trying to scroll down, and then your card immediately gets blocked!! This is such a poor design for this app! The dispute button and e-statements should go under another tab and NOT TO COVER HALF OF THE TRANSACTIONS PAGE!! Then there are some really nonsense buttons on the main page, like, “ask a fortune teller”?!! How stupid is this? Is this a banking app or do they think that users of gobank are some kind of idiots?!! This app needs to be professionally designed.

Awesome Online Bank. What a great online bank!! I’ve had a few others but was very disappointed with them I would get charged to take my own money out of an atm some of them charged me $5.00 ridiculous I know.....no fees unlimited free transfers into my savings, it’s just an all around great bank, if you like getting your pay check early and not being charged a fee to access your money then this is the app for you great customer service and they also offer cash back at certain stores. I love it.....plain & simple!!!!! Get this bank you won’t regret it!!

I love GoBank!. The app is user-friendly and very easy to navigate. The instructions (where applicable) are always clear and understanding. I love that you can look up Free ATMs without having to log in. I love that I can’t overdraw on my card (not that I do any way) and loading money is easy. I would suggest for everyone to have this card/app whether it’s used separately for bills, your main bank card, etc. The only fees I run into is if I use an ATM that isn’t free. Transactions shows up immediately as well. I’d refer this to anyone a million times over!

Mix. I have had this bank for some years now , loved that they would pay early my check and decent app work . But this last 6months have been nothing but huge issues . There customer service is by far the worst , they sometimes tage long to pick up or on hold for 40min when it says will be 10min . Once on hold you lucky if you get a good agent , Just this last week I have called 4 times trying get issue solve or answer . I have been hung up , talk to for 45 min and then call just drops, one even ignore me while I was trying to talk and just hung up , and when they hang up the process of verifying starts alllll over again . Other con , card replacement takes almost two weeks even if card was stolen , you can’t go to a bank bc it’s not a bank. So don’t have money access. And final the card is not supported in apple wallet

Not your average PrePaid. Despite negative reviews I have to say that I’m very please with this system. First off, no charge for adding funds to my account? That’s excellent in my book! Is accepted everywhere I go and when I need to get rush paid by Uber it’s in my account in a matter of seconds. That alone deserves the 5 stars. I’m planning to keep this one not only to get my Uber funds but for everything else I need. Keep up the good work. It can just get better.

I like this app for the most part. I only have had one issue so far, a Walmart charge issue where they double charged me for a pick up order, wasn’t a big deal because I did have the additional funds to cover it, however GoBank still has that charge in pending for the last 12 days. They said it’s set to clear on September 28th. Which would be exactly 2 weeks. That is a little frustrating as most brick and mortar banks drop off pending charges after the next business day. Overall, I really like it and the cash back on gas and Walmart has given me quite a bit back!

Absolutely Terrible. Had issues every step of the way from this bank. I joined through Uber and was expecting to be able to use my account immediately like every other bank. But no, after Uber auto deposited my money, I had no access to my account till my card arrived. My card was not even printed and shipped for weeks. No temporary card number, no using bank account info for purchases. On top of that, once I actually get the card and the account is “usable”, the app repeatedly crashes or straight up won’t let u log I to your account. Once again leaving me without access to several hundred dollars. I don’t know how I’m gonna feed myself and my dog tonight. Thanks Go Bank. Please consider just closing ur business.

Now useless a cautionary tale.. I used the card and app daily, and I was delighted with the convenience offered by both. However, one day Gobank decided to close my account. I was told that a replacement card was mailed to me because of a technology migration. I have no new card, the card I was using was canceled, and my account were closed. All with no notifications sent. It is next to impossible to get any help from this app or go bank without a valid card. As a platinum driver I will miss the benefit of cash back on gas purchases, but in the long run going with a REAL bank will be less troublesome.

This CARD. I have had this card for several years!!! I received when I first started Uber!!( I still Uber every once in a while) I have kept this account and my work checks are direct deposited!! What I love about this card is I get paid 2-3 early ! Especially Holidays !!! They have the vault, ( store money and release when you want ), the Back up balance which helps you until payday ~>( Thank you so much ) and a overall good Card !! I love it !!! I hardly ever do reviews!!

Cannot transfer money!. I normally don’t do reviews but in order for any company to thrive they need the input of those they want to do business with. I am currently not able to do anything with the money I have in my account. I even bought another card so I can transfer money to another gobank account. I can’t connect to cashapp, nor able to connect to instacart or whatever other side hustle I’m doing. PayPal is the only one and it takes forever and a day to clear. I asked if I could transfer to another bank and I have to treat it like a bill? Seriously? Trying to get someone to help is next to impossible. I want my money!!

This bank has the stupidest policies and the customer service isn’t much better.. 1. Once you sign up, you CANNOT change your address for any reason. I have not lived in at the address they have on file in months. 2. I tired to do a mobile check deposit. GoBank declined the deposit and “customer service” said it was because the address on the check did not match the address I have on file (see #1). I told them I moved months ago and tried to change my address but they didn’t allow me to change it. They said they will not change addresses for my security. How secure is it to keep sending banking mail to an address I no longer live at? They couldn’t answer that question. And their answers to questions about their stupid policies are only answered by repeating their stupid policies. 3. I cannot find an option to replace the card that can no longer swipe because the stripe wore out in less than a month. 4. I will never use any bank, card or business owned or operated by green dot bank or GoBank. They are idiots.

This should not even be called a Bank. The worst. If you have never had a REAL bank account then you might not know how HORRIBLE this ‘bank’ is. If I deposit a check online it takes SEVEN days to process! Ridiculous! Other banks, real ones, give you immediate access up to like $400. Second, I used an ATM and it showed it was $3 but I was charged not only using the ATM, GoBank charged an additional fee also! So for my $60 I withdrew I paid $6.75 in FEES! Transferring money takes 3 business days. Trying to get a human on the phone number is next to impossible and then they can’t change the issues anyway so it is a waste of time. I am going to go back to a REAL bank!

I would love to love this app 😢. I like the idea of having Go as my bank account, however. There is one major setback that is holding me back. The app! It fails miserably. I would leave less stars, however I generally like using GO. It’s convenient as an Uber employee to get paid and use it to save money and pay all my bills with one account. But unfortunately I can not trust it enough, not yet! Maybe once you guys work all the kinks and bugs out of the app and I can access my account every single day when I need to, then I might come back and change my rating. Please fix the app. I would love to ditch my regularly used bank account.

Best Banking App Ever!!. I've been using GoBank for 5 years now. I absolutely can not say enough wonderful things about it. I love that I can snap a picture of a check and have the money in under and hour. I am also able to use my card anywhere that accepts credit/ debit cards. It only takes seconds to check my balance and to 'stash' away money for savings or bills. I would definitely recommend (and always do) the GoBank card and app.

Don’t use this bank. Go bank is convenient until you have a problem. It is impossible to pick up the phone and talk to someone. Instead you have to text someone that is from India I assume from their names. They also are not knowledgeable about what you are asking. Also when you have to get a new card they will shut down your whole account including your checking. For atleast 10 days since they don’t expedite your card unless you ask and even then they will charge you 20 bucks to expedite the card. I’ve been 15 days with my account frozen (with 14 thousand in it). I will be getting my money out of there as soon as possible. If I ever get my account open . Ridiculous!!!!

Don’t. Just don’t.. No running balance in app, you’ll need to keep track of that manually. The only running balance you’ll see is on a statement. When they are available, which seems to be two days after they tell you it’s available. So you have no way of tracking your balance. Oh and customer service? Another country. Good luck with them, their customer service is worthless. Oh and their ATM network? So far as I can tell, Walgreens, RiteAid and CVS. Every other ATM in my area is a $3.50 fee to withdrawal (even though GoBank says they “don’t have fees”)plus the service fee from the bank ATM that you withdrawal from. I was hot with a $3.50 gobank fee and a $3.50 fee from the bank I withdrew money from. $7. Bull crap.

They steal money. I had an item that I purchased over a week ago. Got it refunded the day after, before the merchant ever posted the payment. So because of that I have to wait for about 2 weeks to get my money back because of how their pending service works. Most banks would have had my money back to me in 5 days. GoBank takes 14, it would have been quicker if I just let the merchant post the transaction then get a refund. This is ridiculous and they act like they can do nothing about it. Update: Transaction finally finally finished pending after 10 days. Instead of posting back to my account it just disappeared into the blue. They steal money stay away!

Great experience over all. I don’t recall a single issue I’ve had in the 5 years that I’ve been using this online bank. I’ve been able to use direct deposit I’ve also taken advantage of the back up balance many times, it really comes in handy especially during this pandemic. All of my stimulus checks have been deposited here as well as my taxes and never a single fee. Not to mention that I get paid up to two days early. I have nothing negative to say as my experience has been amazing.

Not so sure anymore. I use to love love GoBank . I think I have had them now for about 5years strong. I had them so long I was able to set up my own monthly charge. I Liked the idea of having to preauthorize my checks but they took that feature away which is ok. I love the no fees if possible overdrafts occur. I love the deposit feature and how fast it is posted. I HATE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Whenever I call now I get reps who barely speak English. This is quite upsetting to me and gets frustrating. Where are these people located? They all sound like they are from the Philippines. They don’t understand me and I them. I was on the phone a half hour just to get NOWHERE!

Checks are too expensive. The App is great but 12 checks for almost $6 dollars!!! is too expensive!. I wish you can also make this Bank compatible with intuit QuickBooks so i can track my car or business expenses in a professional way and filed my taxes easier!. Also it does not allow me to deposit check with pictures, it asks me for my ID to verify that it is me, when i take pictures of my ID front and Back it never works! Always says it could not be verified. And over the phone they wouldn’t help me with this matter!. They say if the app can’t verify my identity, they can’t either!! Line are you kidding me?..

Bought this card for mobile depositing checks. Worked perfectly the first time, now it won’t work. I tried to do a mobile deposit of my paycheck, I received an email saying it had already been cashed.. I called GoBank and they told me that I needed to call certegy to figure out what was wrong with the check. I called certegy and they told me that it got declined because of “ GoBank check date guidelines.” I called go bank back and no one was willing to help me trouble shoot this problem. Wasted 6$ on this card, if you can avoid this company I would. Takes 8 days to receive mobile deposited check Also, if you use the vault feature and there app stops working your screwed. No access to your money. They take about 15 mins to answer call so if you have an emergency it’s terrible. My daughter has seizures and you will never guess what happened when I tried to get gass on the way to the hospital! Yep app would not connect, the hospital gave me a gass card for 20$ to get home thank god. But wow, big thumbs down go bank.

I am really happy with this bank!. I really like this bank. The app actually works better than key bank or chase. The only thing that makes me sad is it’s not a traditional checking account so I can’t order specialty checks. But the app works great the bank works great, I love that I get notifications for every purchase and deposit. And the purchases are up to the minute for the balances unlike Chase which is on like a 1970s system and is super archaic and can really mess up your checking account if you’re not good at balancing it!

Go BankSupporter/user. I find Go Bank to be very useful. It’s the easiest way to transfer money between family and friends. It goes through as fast as sending an email. No monthly fees with a direct deposit of five hundred or better a month. Get paid two days earlier with direct deposit. Pay bills online easily. I’m a die hard Go Bank customer all the way. Maybe you should try it, there will be no reason your not happy.

Cool Features But Unreliable. This app is great because it has the vault. What’s not great is any time the app doesn’t work, you can’t access the vault to move your money to your available balance. When the app is down, so is the website. It’s ridiculous. I can’t tell you how many times they say they’re having “technical issues.” When this occurs, if your money is in the vault, you CANNOT access it. Very untrustworthy. There should be an alternative method to transfer funds since they can’t keep their website and app up and running consistently. Why can’t we move money at a Go Bank ATM or via the automated phone line? If I could give 0 stars, I would. Poor use of technology.

Terrible customer service. I recently tried to cancel a transfer due to it being pending for well over 3 business days and not only was the woman who assisted me yelling at me telling me to “just click edit and cancel” (which wasn’t showing as an option when I clicked on the transaction. Nothing happened when I clicked on it) but she then further told me she can’t assist me if I can’t follow instructions which I was trying to it just wasn’t providing me to click the options she was trying to explain. And when I tried explaining the situation to her she just continued to cut me off while I was speak and just overall showed nothing but rudeness and lack of support. Never have I been treated so poorly by customer service representatives.

Works great sometimes. I love the ease of use with this app so I can quickly see my balance, but I’ve noticed on my iPhone XS Max running the latest software version that 9 times out of 10 I’ll load the GoBank app only to be met with the Get Started screen with no working buttons. The get started button is grayed out and there’s literally nothing I can do. Force quitting the app multiple times does nothing. Then the next day I’ll go in the app and it’ll load and ask for my Face ID and works fine, then later it doesn’t. Not sure what’s wrong.

Disappointed. When I downloaded this app in February , I had zero issues and even recommended people to this bank. Now, starting 3 weeks ago , I’ve had nothing but issues. It won’t login to my account when I want to not when it feels like working ( Error messages ), I’ve had to leave stores because o could not login to my app and transfer from my vault to checking ( Do you know how embarrassing and frustrating it is not being able to use your own money?). Now this morning I get my deposit and can’t touch it because God knows why I jefe getting error messages. This is extremely aggravating to the point I light sadly close my account t and look elsewhere. This is unacceptable and is messing with people’s money .

Frozen account. I had been with Go bank for 6 months before having an issue. 3 months ago I tried to use my card and declined the day my direct deposit went in. Some fraudulent charges investigation, need to submit and ID. Submitted it over 40 times with iPhone and picture isn’t clear enough. They have had my funds locked for 3 months but still charge me the monthly fee. Can’t talk to a rep until my ID has been accepted. Contacted the FDIC and they are looking into it more as the names “Go Bank” “Green Dot” or Bonniville Bank seem not to be FDIC insured. Will keep you updated. If you have experience the same issue please comment so we can correct this corrupt company.

Gobank is horrible. They were suppose to send me a new debit card and never did, then they deactivated my current card right before my paycheck deposited and I had to request a new debit card, then they tell me I can’t access my money till my new card comes in 7-10 days and there’s nothing they can do about it, I have rent due and all my money in that account and not being able to pay rent gets you evicted and homeless with no Cash because every cent is on that card, they were no help with that, so if your card gets deactivated then y’all better not need that cash because you’re not getting it till debit card arrives

Horrific bank - use anyone else.. They basically started charging a monthly fee without making sure anyone knew about it. When I called to have it reversed they said no. When I asked to have my money transferred they said no. Then they closed my account said request a check online. Guess what - that didn’t work either. So they said use the remaining money asap to close account. Ludicrous. I can say they have decent people they pay minimum wage to appease the anger. But the company is a joke and I honestly can’t even imagine how they would ever have anyone ever using them when there are sooo many other options.

To Good to be real. This Go Bank thing is amazing they give you everything you need as a bank , Debit card , papers Check’s , online transfers and if is a about to deposit cash money just go to any Walmart and is free of fees. Linked to Paypal , direct deposit 2 days early (sometimes takes 1 day) but still good and if you get it through Uber you get cash back reward in Walmart and gas stations 1% 2% and 3%. So this is the best bank ever, the only thing I’m worry about is about the debit card, doesn’t have Chip that’s a brake point. No chip makes the card vulnerable

Email issue. I'm a Uber driver and applied for Uber Visa debt card from gobank to get rewards. After getting the card, I was trying to follow up the instruction to activate this card. I don't know why that I can't get an email confirmation from gobank. I called the service several times and they just asked me to add a filter on my Yahoo mail account and wait two days, But it still doesn't work. One technical guy called me today, he tried to send me another email from different gobank account, it works. It means my Yahoo account is okay. But unfortunately he still asked me to add a filter and wait for two days. This is really freaking me out. Because of this email issue, I can't complete my application and start to use this debt card, is anyone here can help me out? I appreciate it.

Go bank. I was so loving the simplicity of this card and cool rewards. No load fee after the initial purchase but.... After awhile now I am being charged 3.75 every time I add money..... I deposit once to twice a week sometimes more.. this can’t be right... I got this card over others because no loading fees Walmart blames go bank, go bank blamed Walmart. Now anyone I want to send money to has to open a account with them to receive it when I am asked I tell my friends truth I ne have to pay fee to load at Walmart when I never did so they won’t do it.

Awesome banking but could be better. I’ve been banking with GoBank for 2 years now and I have no complaints at all. Except for one minor detail. Everyone is using a chip on their cards now and GoBank is the only one that is still using a swipe card. I’m hoping that you guys are going to get this technology into the cards soon because I would love it even more. Please make it happen. I think it would be a good idea to consider and make banking with you better for all of us. So if I could get a response it be great.

I just wish it worked.. I don’t have any problems with the bank itself. Unlike some others I’ve never had issues with them holding my money etc. My problem is that 9 times out of 10 I can actually bet money that the app won’t work. I can open it up and stare at that stupid slide show forever. Trying to log onto the website will result in a permanent loading screen. It’s great if you’re working with Uber. (However Lyft and DoorDash do not support the card as far as I know) And I like the huge cash back bonuses with gas purchases and phone payments (nearly 8% instant cash back) but just use the browser on your computer if you need mobile banking.

Life Saver. I don’t think I will ever use any other bank. I have now been able to catch several transactions in which people have charged me and not sent items. This is due to the fact that GoBank immediately shows all charges and deducts them from you account. Many other banks do not, but GoBank does which allows you to monitor when people have actually taken your money. Their customer service is also the best in the world!

This company is a joke - do NOT use for convenience banking. Echoing a few complaints already mentioned: customer service is unhelpful, policies are utterly nonsensical for a company attempting to manage personal banking, and god forbid something happen to your card (I think my health insurance card is made of more durable plastic...), because GoBank will hold your funds hostage while they laze about getting another card to you. You would also be better off withdrawing all funds and shutting down your account rather than attempting to update your address as customer service is apparently too lazy to do that as well. This whole company is a joke—no wonder a majority of other companies see it as illegitimate.

So far so good. I got this account when I started doing uber eats in November 2018 - its been about 3 months now and its working pretty great so far, I do love the fact I get cash back for services i already use like walmart and sprint etc- I love that they dont charge overdrafts so ill never have to worry about a stupid bank letting a bill go through when I dont have the funds(we've all been there we forget about and auto debit etc) Will keep using this account as my main checking unless i have a problem. - 22 year old millennial lol

“Bank” That Steals Money. Horrible “Bank”. They cancelled my card for no reason and then did not even issue me another card to replace it. When I got stranded at a gas pump with my car on “E”, I contact the outsourced (India) customer service department. They informed me that they randomly deactivate cards and I would be unable to access my funds until a new card arrived (10) business days later. It did not make sense. There was no fraud, no suspicious activity, nothing and they just closed the card. I had to get my wife to drive out to the gas to pay for gas so I could home. As soon as the card arrives I will remove the balance and close this account. Don’t trust this “bank”.

Lies!. I only switched my paycheck over because it said I would be paid two days early. Well, it’s two days later and I still haven’t received my check. I’ve never had a problem with my old bank, it’s always been on the 25th without fail. Do NOT use this bank to get your check early. They say “UP TO two days early” so that when it’s not there on time they can use that as an excuse. Considering today is Sunday, I’m assuming it will be at least three days late. The customer service also blows. This will be the ONLY deposit to go into this account. Go with Current (a different mobile bank) they hold up their promises and customer service is ten times better!

Go bank is a Scam. I totally fell unsecured using stupid Go Bank debt card. There are lot of issues regarding banking with Go Bank. Unauthorized transaction are common and with trying to disputes they don’t take the issues seriously. Even ever time when call about dispute they say my disputes is complete and get my money back within one business day. But when I email to customer support representative they always told me they forwarded my issues with senior supervisor which is totally nonsense and annoying. One of the guy call me outside US pretending he is senior supervisor and want me to scam asking my social and personal information. Warning ⚠️ never trust them and always file complaint with FTC and you will get help from them. Scammers Scammers Scammers. Say no to Scammers!
