Loved app before this “update”. Aaaaaah! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I’m so confused. Now it seems like my Payees need to be my Category in order to see useful information at a glance. I use this mostly as a checkbook ledger - all the Reports are not necessary to me. Since using the app for a while since the last update….don’t appreciate the 3-5 second delay EVERYTIME I open the app (waiting for “Please don’t exist the app during check” to disappear. Also want to see both the CATEGORY and PAYEE on the ledger screen (as before). Again, if it’s not broke, don’t “fix” it.

Almost a 5. I’ve been using it for a number of years and for the most part very happy with it. The only issue I have is, I would like it to work on my laptop as well and it does not. it downloads and opens the app just fine. When I click restore from Dropbox, it says it’s successful but nothing is showing up. I emailed the developers trying to verify if I was doing something wrong, but nobody bothered to respond to me.

Best I’ve found yet needs work. The following update was written about a year ago,but all items on pros and cons list below still apply. While they do update app so you can still use w current IOS , they haven’t addressed any of the issues I list in con section below as of Jan 2019. Still works good for my needs just frustrating since w just a few tweaks could b much better and 5 star. Pros: low cost even for pro version Ability to back up w WiFi, iCloud, and drop box. Updates regularly unlike many other apps that after IOS 11 simply stopped working. Cons: Top gripe is no auto complete. If I enter “ K” for Kroger it should pop Kroger since I go there twice a week and shouldn’t have to put “ grocery” as a category after my initial entry showing it as grocery it should remember for subsequent entries. You should b easier/faster for each entry into ledger w fewer steps/screens. Lastly the “ hide reconciled” button should b on main screen rather than having to click multiple screens to get to settings. Hopeful all of this will be done in future updates and I’d gladly give it more stars.

Excellent app. I have been using Quick Checkbook for over a year and have been very happy with the breadth of capabilities and ease of use. Then in an update last week something was changed and I could no longer view entries by payer (only by category). Contacted the developer, who responded the next day. One day after that they released a new update which included the fix. I wish every app developer was as responsive as these folks! Highly recommended!

Absolutely Amazing!!!. I’ve used this app for three years now, and I absolutely love it. I’ve tried a couple different apps in the past and this one was by far the best you could get for free. It makes everything super easy, it’s as simple as picking a category writing in the amount and hitting save. It adds and subtract everything for you so there is no math invalid, it really just makes everything way easier.

Multiple Accounts. I love how it provides multiple accounts which allows you to track everything in one place. Also, when you reconcile your transactions how it allows you to see your current balance. However, the only thing I wish they could fix is when you’ve closed an account and you want to delete it, it doesn’t affect other account balances that you’ve interacted with (e.g. transferred money to/from). I still have accounts sitting in my checkbook because of this.

Awesome App!!. I’ve been using this app for several months now since getting my iPhone and absolutely love how it works. It provides me with exactly the information I need immediately as long as I keep it up to date which is very easy to do. I can see the balance after all clearings at a glance as well as the balance at this moment which I can then easily compare with the balance on my banking app. Love it!!! Thank you for this awesome app!

Buggy. Recurring transactions have stopped working for the last two months and still do not work despite the recent update. I just spent a ton of time having to reconcile my account for the second time in two months because lots of recurring transactions were missing. It’s frustrating because this also happened a year ago and it was fixed and was working excellently until a few months ago. Also when you open the app it says “please do not EXIST app while updating.” Should say “exit” not “exist.” This app used to be excellent, but it seems it has been sold to another company and I’m not sure I can trust it anymore. The last two months I’ve spent so much time trying to reconcile my accounts and now I realize it is due to bugs in this app that my balance wasn’t correct with the bank’s. Very frustrating especially after paying for the yearly subscription.

Quality product. The last checkbook register app I used became unsupported by the app creator so I switched to this one. It’s really easy to setup and with the new updates that automatically load payees that have been previously used, it makes entering new items so much faster. The only thing that I could think to make the app 5 stars would be to make the look of the of the app better or make it customizable.

Just what I was looking for.. I’ve tried all the complicated apps and just needed something simple. I use this app to keep track of my budgets. Each “account” is really a budget. I have a personal budget, a home improvement budget, a travel budget, and a yearly expenses budget. Pretty nifty. I love that you can “clear” transactions. ** I noticed that the app hasn’t been updated in over a year. I’m hoping it updates sometime soon. It works well, but I’d like it to continue working.

Can't get English. Suddenly, this app's structural language is in Japanese. I can type things in in English, but all the headings are in Japanese, so beyond just entering basic info I cannot use it. I tried to contact the maker, no answer. I can't tell what it's doing. I tried changing it back in the app settings on iphone, but Japanese keeps replacing the checkmark, even though the default setting says it's English. I've used this app for years and don't want to have to hunt down another one as good. But this is driving me crazy! Is it only happening to me? Can anyone help?

Great checkbook app. I use this app to keep track of transactions across multiple accounts and cards. It’s nice to see everything in one place, and adding and categorizing transactions is easy. I keep track of transactions for the peace of mind of knowing I’ll catch a mistake or fraud early on. I tried traditional paper checkbooks and excel sheets, but I’ve found that an app is the only thing I’ve used consistently. I’ve used it for at least the past 4 years, purchased the full version after I ran out of room in the free version.

New user. I have only been using for a couple of days. I started with the free version but realized right away that it would be well worth .99 to get the pro version. I find it very easy to enter my data and the way in which I can create my own categories. I contacted customer service on something and was answered very promptly which is always a good sign so I look forward to using the other functions such as report totals and reconciliation as they occur. It is so nice to have a program without too many bells and whistles that I would never use!

Betrayal. I have been using this app for at least 5 years, if not more. I fell in love with it so I paid the fee to upgrade to the pro and I’ve been happy with that for years. However, now they decided to tell us after all these years they didn’t make enough money off of us so they want to do a subscription model. Wow that’s all I can say. Not only are you trying to negate the fact that I already paid for this app by blocking the same features I paid for, you want to force me to pay a subscription or annoy me adds to upgrade to a subscription every time I click, wow not only is that unethical, it should be illegal.

Awesome app. I downloaded two checkbook apps and this one had what I needed. I also put my wife’s account on here and can use the transfer and I don’t have to go back and do it on hers because it already does it for you. And you can create your own sub-categories. It’s worth it. The only con is when you have an upcoming pay check it shows the balance, wish it would not be included until that day. Also wish you could search on amounts and by vendors.

Update has ruined the app. Loved this app and used it for many years. Now they did an update and took it from simple and easy to use to now it is just busy for no reason and impossible to find anything. When looking at your transactions the only thing you can see from the list is the category and amount. You now have to click on each one to see where you spent the money. Makes no sense and makes it hard to balance your account. Also runs slower and freezes. Also you can no longer see your cleared and available balance easily and on the same screen. I guess I will have to switch to a more user friendly app now after this update.

What I was looking for. Using for over 1 year. It does everything I need: can set up many accounts on it (I have 9); records transaction into categories (so I can check where my money is being spent by month-year or custom); can add, change or delete recurring transactions; gives balances for each account on home page as well as total balance; can export data by dates (haven’t used yet); back up & restores (had hoped this was automatic, need to remember to do it); has a search feature; has contact support and help feature (I haven't used these yet)...

Paperless Simplicity. I purchased the full version of this app because I liked the free version so much. I try to cut down on paper any way I can, so haven’t a digital transaction register is amazing. I tried other apps, tried Excel, tried paper..this app just works. You can add as many categories as you in addition to the categories that are already there. You have the option to check off if the transaction has cleared yet or not. The best way to use it? Enter a transaction in as soon as you make a purchase. Easy. I’ll update this in a few months to discuss any changes in my feelings towards the app, but so far, it is fantastic and a welcome addition to monitoring my finances.

Use to Love it. Now hate it. Had this app for a long time but deleting it until problems and esthetics are fixed. The problem I have is with the new update 2023. They removed the uncleared balance. I need to see that. Not all payments post immediately. I have messaged the app about it an never received any response. Plus they have not fixed the math glitch. Sometimes the app adds or subtracts amounts randomly and I have to fix it. Plus it adds multiple recurring amounts. This had been going on since the beginning and had not been fixed after informing the app of the issue. Plus I hate the large chart at the top of the account. I have limited screen space and it takes up a third. I have to remove it every time and it's really annoying.

Frustrated. I used to love this app! I hate that I have to scroll to find the transaction source and when you add something new for that transaction it just doesn’t automatically add it, you still have to scroll to find it. I also have to put who the transaction was from twice once in the section you’re supposed to and also in notes so I can see who it is as I’m balancing my checkbook. On the last update, I lost ALL my data and it wouldn’t back up from a download. I contacted the developer with no response. Then contacted them about my passcode not working. I can’t take it off either without entering a passcode. Now I can’t even get into the app at all with my Face ID or passcode, it’s stick on passcode and it’s locked me out. Grr. I’ll try again to contact the developer. I feel like having paid for the app I would get better service but nothing! It’s been great like I said before and now it’s not user friendly at all and more time consuming and I can’t access my checkbook. HELP!!!

Ok, But Not Great. I rate apps off of the number of complaints I have. I’ve been using this app for a few weeks now after switching to Apple. I have 2 complaints as of now. First complaint, when switched to ascending. Every time you open an account it’s always at the top and one must scroll down to view recent transactions. If the setting is set for ascending the app should open where the last transaction was entered and for descending the app would open at the top. My second complaint is payment for full access. What happened to paying for an app and it’s ours. No matter how much I enjoy an app even if it’s the only one available. I will turn it down for monthly and year payments, so back to the drawing board I guess. If I can’t find an app, I can use Excel for free.

Major update issues. Update format changed, but I can get used to it over time. Not quite as user friendly as before but I can see some function enhancements that will be useful. HOWEVER it now takes approx 5 seconds for many clicks that you made. Adding a new transaction 5 seconds for it to open the box, checking the cleared button - 5 seconds before it registers and allows you to do anything else. This has become super inefficient. I’ve been subscribed to this app for a while, but if fixes aren’t figured out soon, I will have to switch. The increase in options is not worth it for how inefficient the app has become.

Great checkbook app until a lastest update IMO. I have used this app for many years and have loved it. Now I’m very frustrated with it. I used to be able to easily give an expense or deposit a month, day and year in the future. It’s how I keep track of recurring payments/ deposits that are different each time. (Yes, I do use recurring for things that are consistently the same). In a recent update they took out the year and put in time (hour:min). Now to get to a month/day/year in the future I have to use a scroll wheel to get to the date in the right year. Please please put back the year. Scrolling ahead like this just isn’t convenient at all. 9 times out of 10 I bypass the date I want and it takes me way too long. Does anyone really need to know what time of day they paid a bill or made a deposit??

What happened?!?!. I’ve used this app for several years for free. I purchased the annual subscription in order to continue using it as it claims I was out of storage. Now I find the upgraded app to be confusing and not to mention flawed. I just reconciled my account and matched it to the penny with my bank records, I made one payment of $156and now it threw my balance off by almost $300!!!! I’ve checked to see if I fxxxd up but I’ve got the same transactions entered. And this is I it one account, you can only imagine the chaos it is causing me to find why the differences. Think I’ll be looking for a new app. SMH, disappointed.

What you are doing is illegal in the USA. In May 2021 I purchased the full version on this app. I paid the full purchase price at that time. All is well until this month. The developer has decided that he isn’t making enough money so he is going to start charging subscriptions. That is fine for new customers but you can’t go back to older customers and decide to recharge them for the app. When I purchased it that was full price sale final. What you are doing is wrong and you know it. Either do the right thing and restore the app back to full version or refund my money.

I’ve been using for years.. It has always worked. No major problems. I appreciate the little improvements that have been made; brightening the colors and making it easier to read. I would be nice if you could automatically process ApplePay transactions. Keep up the good work.

Best Checking account Register. Use this app to management several accounts. Like most check register apps it takes some time to build a dictionary of terms and icons, but easy to do with ability to customize most transaction descriptions. Wish list: add landscape view for iPad. Also would like to see a check-box added for “EFT” (electronic fund transaction) transactions.

Works great for my needs. I tend to be a cheapskate so for me to buy the full version shows how well it works. Before I paid for quicken I used to use Microsoft money. Through the time I was forced to use quicken I never liked it as well as Microsoft money. I was looking for other accounting software when I found that they put out a sunset edition that did everything I needed for my laptop. The one drawback is that I can’t auto update my transactions from your phone version that I’m aware of. As a result I have to manually enter the transactions into money. This is okay since they can only go into the program and not be pulled out. This gives me a secure way to archive. If you could include the Microsoft money extension in your app to download from iPhone I’d be in absolute heaven. Since no one else has it anymore it’s more secure for the same reason. There’s nothing currently compatible. It would be less time consuming for me for sure. Thanks for your solid app to use on my iPhone.

Please show payee!. I’ve always loved this app, but I cringe a little when an update happens. This last one made the app way too busy, which I’ll probably get used to. What I can’t get used to though is that you can’t see the payee when looking at the all transactions. Everything is sorted as the category, which doesn’t help someone like me who budgets ahead of time and reconciles once it’s paid. You can only see the payee when you open the transaction. Do you know how many things I categorized as miscellaneous? I know, my problem. But I never anticipated I would see the actual name of who I was paying. Please give us back the payee view. This latest update feels like the one that will drive me away from this app for good.

I Love it!!!. Since I’ve been using the app it’s been easier to keep up with my expenses. There has been no overdrafts on my account because I don’t have to wait for items to post. I can see my true balance so I know when to stop spending. I do need a credit card payment option. Please add this. Thanks. They added the credit card payment option & some more enhancements!!! I love this app. I’ve already recommended it to several people.

App changed my life. I’m the kind of person who hates writing in an actual ledger to keep track of all my purchases. Then I found this app. I got the free version first to see if it was everything i was looking for and holy moly it was. I was impressed with if you add another account like say a Savings account, it automatically deducts from your checking if you transfer money. Everything is very easy and understandable, the app is incredibly user friendly. After using it for about 1 month I was more than happy to buy the full version of the app to support the wonderful people who made it. Keeping track of my finances has never been easier, and I won’t ever be using a regular ledger again.

I’m no banker. I’m going to tell you it is really a huge task for me to keep up with all the different accounting activities I need to. I have been looking for a good digital checkbook for literally years. I finally came across this one and so I downloaded the free version. It was free because you have to see ads before you can add additional accounts. Well, after getting the hang of how the app works and adding three of my many accounts, I realized how good this app is and bought the paid version, very affordable with no ads, and the Developers of the app even made the transfer of my data seem-less. As I type this review, I find that I actually need this app and highly recommend it to others who are struggling to keep your accounts in order due to the many days some transactions take to clear through any of your various accounts. I sometimes will use a debit card from one account and later misremember, attributing the purchase to a different wrong account which will trigger a lot of problems before I figure out my mistake. I find myself remembering to log my purchases right away now and am starting to realize just what my money looks like. It feels like a positive and powerful feeling. With dividend/interest payouts and recurring payments and so on and so forth, I think this app or one like it should be the basis for a simple classroom curriculum for young adults to learn about balancing budgets. I do wish there could be a way to use an old transaction to create a new recurring payment. I won’t say more, although I could go on about how great this app is, because I have tried many just to become confused and frustrated with additional charges or having to login to my banks which defeats the purpose of staying on top of my finances. Those types of checking apps usually auto sign off from my banks causing me more frustration. Other apps are just confusing to use for me. This app is just on my phone and I have control of my data and log In preferences. Well Done Developers, well done!! I don’t know the American English word for this app, but whatever! Try It!!

Overall it’s one of the better ones. I just started using this app and so far I like it. I particularly like the function of forecasting because I can see my reoccurring bills in advance. This allows for me to make better spending decisions. I actually paid for the pro. It would be nice for the date option if you could scroll the years instead of scrolling through the dates. The only other thing is if you attempt to edit a reoccurring bill it changes the date to the current date. Small issue but it still bothersome to me. Also, wish it could sync to other devices.

Worth the subscription. I have used this app for many years, and it’s literally the only app that I am willing to pay a subscription for. There is no better checkbook app out there. You can add as many accounts as you need to, and the layout is simple, but attractive. Checking off purchases is easy, and the search feature is very helpful. The newest update added a calculator feature, and a way to split the categories of a single purchase. This makes watching a strict budget very easy. If I could give a couple of suggestions, I would ask that the default pie chart that pops up be monthly, instead of “all”. The “all” report is not particularly helpful, especially if you’ve used the app for many years. Also, there aren’t very many options for picture icons for categories. This is a very trivial thing, but it’s always nice to have the right picture for each category. These are only suggestions, definitely not complaints. Thank you for making this app and keeping it current for us! I can see that my subscription money was well-spent in working on this update.

Great App. I have been trying this app for a couple months now and does everything that I would want it to do. It is user friendly, keeps track of my accounts and never have any issues with it. I highly recommend anyone to use it to keep track of their money / accounts.

New Update is Terrible. Why change a good thing? I can handle the change is transaction colors although I’m not very fond of it. But I cannot handle the time stamp that has now been added to every transaction. No ones needs know the exact time they added a transaction in this app. The biggest problem of all? That locking this app and requiring a passcode key no longer works even if you have “Require Passcode ON” and it’s set to “immediately”. They also added the option to use Face ID but even that doesn’t matter because the app just opens no matter what. This app was perfectly fine the way it was and they just had to go and make all these major changes for no reason. PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP SO THE PASSCODE REQUIREMENT WORKS AGAIN AND GET RID OF THE TIMESTAMP.

ELECTRONIC CHECKBOOK. Good App that is very useful for keeping an electronic record of your spending, especially for the price. Very useful for determining how much you spend and on what things you spend. I am not giving it a 5 Star rating because the categories need to be more useful and the spelling of some them is not accurate. For example, Business is not spelled Bussiness. And another example is there is no more to Shopping than Cloth (which should be Clothing) and Electronics. Furthermore, there should be something that you can use as a way to identify that the App and your account (s) balance.

An absolute must-have!. I have been using this app now for a several years, and I really, really like all of the great features that it offers, to keep track of all of my financial transactions. The apps offers you to schedule reoccurring transaction amounts. I absolutely love being able to take photos or upload photos of your receipts/documents. You can also search for transactions, which is another big plus, to say the least. I really do not know how people can accurately keep track of their transactions without some type of bank/ financial register, like this. For any one looking for a great register app, you found it, right here!!!

Almost everything I wanted. This is a terrific app. It is easy to use and I love the fingerprint security feature. The two things I wish it included are: 1. Sub folders to divide my accounts into. I use the app to keep a clear picture of ALL of my finances so if I could separate the accounts in to Credit Cards, School Loans, Personal Banking, Retirement, etc it would be great. 2. Automatic iCloud back up. It would be nice to not have to manually back up the app to iCloud everytime I make an entry. It is nice that you have Dropbox as an alternative though! 3. Ability to split purchase into subcategories. For example, I spend $50 at Walmart $25 of which is on prescriptions (a monthly medical cost) and $25 on groceries (a separate monthly cost). It would be nice to be able to designate them to different cost centres so that I can more accurately see what I am spending on each by month.

Great App. This is a great app for keeping track of your finances. I also like that I can see the percentage of where I'm spending my money. I do not like that the check is automatically in the cleared box even though the transaction has not cleared my bank. Other than that I do recommend this app for those who like to keep track of their finances. I love the latest update it fixed the icons at the bottom I can now see every icon clearly. I like that I can now see if I’m ahead or behind each month

Great tool for keeping track of your money!. I’ve used this app for over three years now and I really enjoy it. It’s quick and accurate. There has been a few small updates over the years and each has made it easier to use and more accessible. My only grief is I wish I could set dates that recurring payments are due but have them appear at the 1st of the month still. Currently I set them all for the 1st then have to change the date as they are payed - not a huge inconvenience, but would be my only change to the set-up. Other than that, a great checkbook app indeed!

Best decision ever. For years, my wife was took care of the budgeting. When I finally took over, the days of documenting every transaction in my checkbook was long gone. So I went through several free apps until I came across Checkbook. I love it! It’s simple and easy. Everything you need for a budgeting app. From setting up reoccurring transactions to bar/pie charts to help you understand where all your money is going and help you understand what you need to work on. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

I like the app, but..... The app is really easy to use and I haven’t had any issues getting several accounts to work together and setting up recurring payments was a snap but I would be interested in a update with extra categories of everyday type payments, income, etc... also it would be great if instead of the payment types showing on the main screen that there was a way to fix it so that “who” you paid would show like a regular check register so you didn’t have to click on the transaction to read in the notes who it was for.

Illegal “Update”. Paid the one time price for the app years ago. Now the update continues to spam me with the subscription service adds. Apple needs to refine its App Store policy regarding bait and switch. If I purchase something, it is mine once I purchase it. If the developer decides to update to a new pricing model, I should have the option to update to it or simply lose the functionality of only the updated features from THEN ON. A very well know password manager did this very same thing years ago. Stay away from this one and find one that is reputable.

Great App, But.... Love the app to help balance with my bank account, but would love if you guys could add some kind of feature to where in the case of me being off by a given amount between the app and my bank account, it would show possible double transactions without me having to guess which transactions I may have keyed in twice by accident. Also, a feature added that would exclude certain accounts from the total amount at the bottom.

Untrustworthy. Purchased the full application paid in full. Now they want me to pay again and often because they changed their mind and want more money. Nobody should do business with a business that treats their customers as such. Checkout an application called spending. They have a one time purchase at the current moment. I would t spend a subscription price for an application such as this. Developers are getting greedy and they want more of your money even after you purchased their product. Don’t reward this type of behavior and show developers like this to ditch the subscription model and go back to one time payment.

Awesome. Been using the program for awhile, and it’s exactly what I had been looking for. One thing I didn’t like at first was having to always type in the same Payee for places I pay often, so I actually sent in a suggestion, which I normally don’t do, but something told me I should. A short while ago, I went to use the program and as soon as I started typing the payee’s name, a list of possible matches came up, so obviously they take suggestions seriously; although, I’m sure I wasn’t the only one making that suggestion. Now, I’d like see, or find out how or if we can modify the payee list since I’ve seen several payees I’d like to delete.

Great app. I think this is a great app for keeping up with your expenses and spending habits. I would have given 5 stars but I don’t know of another app and haven’t seen where I could link this app with a bill reminder app, that’s minus half star. The other half would be that I wish it had a way to keep more images than one for receipts and such for each entry. As said it’s a grade A+ App and I would recommend maybe they will soon establish these complaints above I’ve listed.

Appreciate the app. Does all the interactions I want for my checkbook app and didn’t require a monthly subscription. One time purchase of 99 cents. Layout looks good. Coloring is good. Has reoccurring transactions, multiple accounts available. The last free app I was using wanted $10 a month with their latest update to do what this does for one fee of 99 cents. No ads with the onetime fee. Don’t switch to a monthly subscription and this app will stay as one of my main apps

It Gets The Job Done. I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it’s definitely helped me stay on top of my finances. The most recent update that changed the date format and added the time to it has kind of taken away from it, but otherwise this was a great purchase to make sure I don’t overspend, and keep track of bills scheduled to be paid.

Hate the update. I don’t like the new layout of accounts or that you can’t change them to the old format of all on one screen scrolling to find the accounts I want now is painful

Love it. This App in the new format is awesome. I especially like the Budget section. The old format was good but after playing around with this App for awhile I have become accustomed to it Hopefully it will help me budget better and save some more money in the future. I love the fact I can see how I am spending my money. This App is worth downloading and paying the annual subscription.

Excellent App. My only issue is that I’d like the upcoming recurring transactions to be posted in advance. I like everything else about the app tho.

Quick Checkbook. Pretty good app, does what a cheque book should do. I'd like to see more reports , though. :-)

Good tracker. I use it constantly. Good app

Happy with it. Entry is a bit cumbersome sometimes, but I really like that I can keep track of the balances in all my accounts in one place - including credit cards by switching the use of expense/income entries. I also like the “transfer” feature because I do a lot of transferring between accounts. “Transfer” allows me to add a transaction to both accounts at one time, and it then automatically shows me in each transaction record which accounts were involved. This is extremely helpful and really has transformed my money management. In the “old days” we used to keep written check registers, but since that practice sorta fell by the wayside with debit cards and automatic transactions, it’s been a real struggle to manage our money. “Quick Checkbook” gives me back a way to actually manage our money instead of having to log in to our banking apps every day to see if we’re okay. Too many times I’d log in to a $45 NSF fee and a bounced transaction. No more! Now I always know where all the money is. For example, I keep one account for all of our bills - whether I actively pay them or they’re automatically deducted. Quick Checkbook allows me to record ALL the transactions for the coming month ahead of time, so I can deposit enough to cover them and then forget about it. I check back once a week to “clear” transactions against my online banking app, so no surprises. I’m at the end of my budget month today. All this month’s bills are paid and my bank account balances with Checkbook with $2.72 left! I can get it that exact! When we get paid, I will do this again for next month’s bills, and transfer the remaining funds to our other account. This way “discretionary spending” does not come from the money set aside for bills. I also track our “discretionary spending” account in Quick Checkbook. Organizing our finances this way has allowed us to save enough for a down payment on our first home!

Good but needs changes. It is a good app but the biggest issue is that there is only one currency ($) , all other currencies missing

Excellent.. Beautifully designed screens. Calculations appear to be accurate. Fairly steep learning curve: this could be due to my impatience in trying to understand how everything works, or it is rather complicated to put together. As near perfect for my uses as I could wish. Final rating— 4 1/2.

I hate it. Too much clutter! I will be deleting app and finding one that was like this one use to be...clean and simple. Would you PLEASE leave it alone...I like seeing my totals when I open the app

Checkbook Pro. I have been using this app for a few years now and rate it very high. It would make it even better if there was a way to hide or archive unused accounts such as RRSP transferred to a single RIFF. You end up with a lot of clutter with accounts with zero balance. This option would give it a 5 star rating

Why such a horrible update. The new update is terrible. It is not user friendly. Where you have to put in your amounts makes no sense. And now you have to put in the period before the cents. Unknown is automatically in the Payee field so you have to erase it. I am very unhappy and would NOT have paid if I knew this is how they would update their product. Screen is cluttered and hard to read. Where you paid doesn’t show unless you open the transaction. I’ll be replacing this product ASAP.

Getting use to new app for IOS 16 updates. I didn’t like it at all in the beginning! I’m getting old and change is not good for old people! But slowly, I’m figuring out how to get it the way I like it. Now please update the app on the iPad so they can sync together. I am paying for the iPhone app and for the iPad app to be pro. Please update the iPad app so both can sync together!!!

Superior over the other apps. I had purchased a previous banking app that has a pig as icon. They have updated it and it is no longer user friendly. This app is doing everything I needed. Well done!!!!!!

Like the app. But I wish that when I close the eye there was not a green arrow telling me my balance I wish I could get rid of that cause what is the point of closing the eye if I can still see my balance. But other than that I like the app.

Just the basics please and thank you. I just wanted an app to be a digital version of a check register. This app does just that. The charting is good if you use categories well. The category creation is a little awkward but not a deal breaker (maybe I just do not know how it works best yet). I would like it if it was compatible with my Mac so I could input there as well as on my iPhone. Still not a deal breaker. So far, so good.

Great checking app. This is a really good app, I’ve tried many of them, and the thing I like best about this app is that from the main screen you can enter a transaction straight away without having to go into the transaction list for that particular account. I would’ve given it 5 stars if it would’ve had an option to do a CSV or QIF import.

Great app, only one potential improvement. I love that the app allows for so many different categories and accounts. I just wish I could filter by cleared and uncleared so I didn’t have to scroll so far down to find entries. Other than that, perfect.

Can’t transfer files from the free to upgrade. Very poor app that makes you upgrade after 500 transactions but not able to transfer the data to the upgrade. Up to this point I really liked the app. Sure as hell not happy that I have to start from scratch with the upgraded version. Very miss leading when it says before you purchase that it will transfer the data.

Nice and clean. Has very many options on the pro version for $.99. I played around with the free version for a little while and decided that I liked the way this was set up and purchase the pro and more options opened up. I will give it a try and update later.

All Data Disappeared. I have been using this app since 2019 and it was fantastic. Easy to use and track your monthly spending! I loved it until today when I made an entry and suddenly all my data disappeared completely. I am so upset I was tracking our ranch expenses yearly and monthly for over 2 years and suddenly it’s just vanished….no way to restore it. I am looking for a different app for sure obviously this one can’t be relied upon .

Great app. Been using for years. Easy to use. Ability to search across all accounts. No longer need to carry around a check register or buy checks with the carbon copy. Love not having to do the math!

No more bank books to keep up with.. As of now I have had no problem with this app. I’ve used it almost a month. With that said I am only keeping track of one account and not multiples. But for what I was needing it is perfect and was only .99 cents

Great app!. This is the best and easiest way to keep track of my finances. I have had to start my own budget in the last year and this has helped me immensely. So when I used the free version until the capacity of 500 transactions I had no problem spending a dollar to purchase this app!

Been using it for years.. Balancing your checkbook might sound old school, but this app makes it so easy to make sure you don't overdraft. I use it for multiple accounts. It has a feature to either view or hide reconciled transactions. Plus it's a great way to budget!

Worst update ever. In the new update you need to scroll horizontally to see all the accounts. Inefficient ! When you get to the page where you can see the accounts listed vertically, the summaries are lost. Formerly you could type the first few letters of a payee & the full names would be displayed, now you need to scroll through an alphabetical list…what were you thinking? I will never again recommend this to anyone & am starting to look for a new option.

Great App. I’ve been using this app for a while. Love it. The recent update has been good. New look. Better feel. Helps me stay on top of all my accounts so as to keep track of my spending, knowing where I’m at financially at all times. I fully recommend this App.

Awesome organizational app. I use this app to keep copies of receipts for debit card transactions to do my finances. I also keep a separate folder to put tax deductible receipts in and title the folder by year. I like that you can save an image of the actual receipt on the individual entry in the app. I gave it 4 stars because you are not able to print a copy of the receipt image from the app in case you need to provide a copy as proof at a later date. I can take a screen shot of the receipt image on my phone to print out so it works. It would be more convenient to print the image from the app but this works for now. Definitely worth the money to keep my finances in check!

Disappointing. I have used this app without any issues since 2017. Yesterday I was forced to pay for a subscription to continue using the app. Today I go on the app to balance my checkbook, as I do everyday, and the app looks completely different and is force closing which is preventing me from completing my balancing. Very disappointing!!!! Guess I will have to search for a new way of balancing my accounts.

Great App. This is my absolute favorite app to keep track of my expenses. As soon as I spend money or get a deposit I input it into this app. The only thing I would like to see change is to be able to add categories of expenses and assign different colors to things. I would really like to see a credit card category. This app has really kept me on track.

Unethical company. I paid for the unlimited lifetime ad-free “pro” version in 2020. Now my data is being held hostage unless I subscribe and pay a monthly fee! We had a contract for my unlimited use, but the developers have now gone back on that. Do not buy, even if you’re okay with the monthly fee to use, because who knows what greedy demands they’ll make later and lock you out if using the app you’re already paying/paid for.

Used this for years. I use this for budgeting our personal and businesses accounts! I have used this app for years!!! The newest update is definitely what the app has been needing! But I wasn’t complaining before! Truly the most perfect for my family and my businesses!

Checkbook. Awesome app! You should give us the option to edit the categories. Also, can you changed the color of the balances. It’s kind of hard sometimes to read it in red.

Great for everyday. I downloaded this a couple years back. Love it. The only thing I would like to see added to it is the ability to connect to my bank and auto download my account info. But other than that it’s a great app to help you reduce wasteful spending and see where your money is going.

Check Register. I LOVE this app it has helped me to keep track of my bank accounts. I wish that you could develop an app which is similar to set up a credit card register to keep daily track of your expenses as well as your payments, other fees and interest on your credit cards.

Great App. It’s nice that I don’t need a register anymore and balances automatically!..like the back up features too!!.. gives you many options when backing up...I can do a back up from my phone and pick up my tablet and continue where I left off.. just be sure you do another back up so your phone is in sync!!..

Lovely app. I was using the free version until upgrading to the paid version. It is a great app. I love that I can visually see how I am managing my money with the pie graphs. Also love that I can place notes and pictures of the receipts. Very convenient and easier to maintain then the traditional account books.

Great. I love this app so far. Im able to add as many accounts to keep track of all my kids accounts separate. So easy to navigate. One thing I would like is to be able to separate the accounts. Like as if it was a different checkbook. That would be a great feature.

Great App!. I haven't used it very long, but I can tell it's going to be exactly what I am looking for. Great for those who like to track day to day transactions. One suggestion... it would be helpful to access the categories from the settings menu (love that you can edit the categories in the transaction screen).

Functional. Serves my purpose very well. My particular use is for one bank account, but divide it into multiple small budget accounts that keep track of all my budgets within the primary account. Would like to see the ability to recognize repeat transaction names so I would not need to type the entire name each time.

Fantastic app. Not overly complicated. So many checkbook apps are complicated. I love that this app has simple, easy to use features. This is great. Would recommend this for the person that’s too busy to balance the checkbook. Having this app on my phone has been a huge time saver.

Pretty good app but.... ...the list of categories needs to expand a bit. Some of the stuff there doesn’t apply to the stuff I buy or what bills I pay for. Needs updating or let the consumer add a category to the list already there. You think you will allow the user to add categories that aren’t there? Plus business is spelled wrong.

Blade Runner. Works great. I’ve had many ‘Checking Apps’ in the past and this one in my opinion is the best. Very easy to use and set-up. Developers thought of what was necessary. Hope developers continue to support and update. Will look for other apps from developers.

I used to love this checkbook. Edit: after having paid what was supposed to be a one time fee for the app a long time ago they are now saying they are changing to a subscription model. I feel jaded in that people like myself and the others that paid before the switch should have been grandfathered in since we paid in the beginning and were told then it was a one time fee. I will be looking for a different checkbook app, as I refuse to do a subscription, especially for such a simple app.

Can’t ask for help. I purchased this app so that both my husband and I can both keep up with register and enter our own receipts, because it says you can share with up to 6 people with family sharing. Well, there is no option to turn on “family sharing” and it doesn’t allow you to ask for help, as that is the only button you cannot click into. So I basically have to leave a review to see if I can get any help. What a waste of time, money, and energy.

Full Version. I did not realize that the free version had a limited number of transactions it could track, which was slightly disappointing. I loved the free version so much that I paid for the full version and continue to be satisfied with the functions. It’s great to be able to look at your spending for any length of time you want to review (monthly, quarterly, etc.)

Fantastic Way To Keep Track Of Your Money. This is an easy way to keep track of all your accounts. Expenditures and deposits accessible at your finger tips! Love how easy it is and the recent changes just made it even better! Easily send backup to any source you wish also create reports to see where your money goes in a flash. Great App!!

New update. The update so far looks good EXCEPT that fact that I can’t no longer see the reconciliation balance to quickly match the bank I have to add balance and outstanding to figure it out I don’t like that

4.7 out of 5. Needs more/better categories. This works great to help me keep track of my finances. Would be better if there were more categories to choose from or if you could add your own specific ones. Other than that, I would recommend this app.

Helps me budget!. Thank you for working well!! All my accounts are in one place secure from hackers and I can see it all in one glance. I even put my credit cards balances so I know my debts as well. It encourages me to pay off my credit balances faster and budget my spending.

Had been great.. I had been using this app for years. I paid for the unlocked version early on. Now years later they have switched to a subscription model and even though I paid for it once they are forcing me to pay again if I want to keep using it. I have an issue with subscribing to get all the features I had already purchased.

Use it far all checking. Great app bought full version. Can handle all transactions quick for multiple accounts and is very accurate. Tried free version liked it went to full.

Good overall. I have been using the app for a month or so now and I am happy with it. I wish there were more options in the categories like retirement fund. Also I would like to see a calculator option for in the income/debit area and a search feature. I will continue to use it.

Great App. Just what I was looking for to manage my multiple accounts in one place. You can have multiple account, transfer between accounts, without having to do the math. I would like to be able to create my own categories. Some color options would also be nice.

So easy and efficient!. My previous banking app become obsolete after NEVER getting updates. Found this and have been using it for about a year. Just had an update 🙌🏼. Super easy to use and keeps me on track. Love the reports feature and the ability to look at your different categories individually. Highly recommend!!

Excellent App!. This app does everything I need it to. I lost my previous checkbook app when I upgraded phones and decided to look for something new and this one seemed to be the most simple and easiest to use. My only wish would be if you could show the running cleared balance beside each transaction. If it weren’t for this it would definitely get 5 stars from me.

Organization. I love the app because I can create multiple accounts to keep up with different bills, savings goals and accounts. I wish it had a bit of color but other than that it’s great and easy to search for transactions and personalize transactions completely

Great App. This app was exactly what I've been looking for. I checked out a lot of different apps and this is the only one that lets me adjust my accounts in real time so I can see exactly where all my money is. I definitely recommend getting the pro version although the free one is great as well.

No more paper register. I absolutely love this app. I’m old school and always balance my checkbook to the penny, however pepper registers seem to be becoming obsolete. This app has been amazing. Not only can I track everything it charts my spending too!! I’d give it 10 stars ⭐️ if I could!

Not a fan of the update. Loved this app until the recent update. They tried to do too much and took away the user friendly basic app I loved. It’s extremely slow and there’s so much on every screen now it’s overwhelming. Don’t like the placement of much of the info or how much it lags when putting info in. Will be switching apps unfortunately to something basic, quick, and what I had before this update.
