My favorite app. I live in an area that is prone to hurricanes. Hurricane Tracker and channel 4 are very important to me, actually check every day multiple times. Thank you!

Valuable and Informative. This app was extremely helpful! It's able to help me and my family make the right decisions during such stressful hurricane situations. Thanks for making such an amazing app.

Bad fix. App doesn’t work right anymore. It use to be when you went to WJXT weather and opened it then you could scroll down to hurricane tracker and touch that and it would auto open the hurricane tracker app. But with your new release done yesterday nowwhen you openWJXT weather app and scroll down to hurricane tracker it keeps asking you if you want to download the hurricane tracking app by WJXT and when you click it it takes you to the App Store and it doesn’t have the downloader app part it just says open. Then when you click open the hurricane tracker app appears. You guys screwed something up. Put it back like it was. You can either open the hurricane tracking app on your Home Screen or go to WJXT weather app open it then if you wanted to you could scroll down to hurricane tracker, click it and it would open the hurricane app if you had already downloaded it. Fix it..

Disabled Office Manager. Able to keep up with hurricane news even though I don’t have satellite tv.

Are You Kidding?!. In our house, we rely on the app and the Weather Authority during storms. If we have evacuated, we watch from Georgia to stay up with developments in Saint Augustine. I’ve seen the criticism of over hyping . Well, if I am warned and prepared and then dodge the bullet, I’m thankful. Hype away!

Works Outside of Florida. I discovered that the local radar function is superior to other radar apps I have tried. I live in Michigan and really like this App for tracking precipitation.

Upgrade ideas. The idea here is fabulous! It would be so much more if you had a time line on the radar feature. Also, it’s difficult to read, as you tap to enlarge the quality of the picture is lost.

Must have. For full disclosure, I work for Channel 4, which produces this app. But even if I didn't, it would be my go-to source for all things tropical. The tracks and information are easy to understand and update immediately with each new release from the NHC. I consider this app a must have for anyone living in Florida or other tropical-system prone areas.

Perfect. This is a MUST. The app is always up-to-date! And it’s SO accurate. It even tracks worldwide storms, like West Pacific storms or Indian Ocean cyclones! If your a hurricane tracker or in LOVE with severe weather, you MUST download this app!!

I love the Hurricane Tracker. I have used this feature to track weather all the way to Colorado and Wyoming. I check it multiple times a day to check for thunderstorms. Awesome!!!

Hurricane Tracker 4. My go to site that gives me what I need to stay informed on Hurricane threats. Quick and easy to use.

Update. You should update your app and remove the storm that has been there for a month. I love the app for tracking local weather as well as during hurricane season.

Navy Base. I’m new to this area and have never been exposed to Hurricane preparation this app is very helpful in preparing for this type of situation although being from Oklahoma storms are a part of life, Thank You

Hurricane tracker. Finding out when a hurricane is coming, its Category and finally its strength is imperative. Being prepared can mean the difference between life and death. This app updates every hour - at least when hurricanes are in the viewing area. This is especially helpful when you're out getting supplies and don't have access to a TV for news updates. I'm not sure if it's showing the European model, the US model, or a split of the 2. Regardless, it was closely on track.

Hurricane Dorian & Channel 4. Channel 4 was great (as usual), keeping us updated on Dorian constantly here in N E FL! My only suggestion would be to include areas of Fleming Island more often, as we’re just across the bridge from Jacksonville. Been preparing for hurricanes since before Dora in 64. No electric or school for 8 days & my brother & friends got around in a canoe in our neighborhood where we grew up in Riverside. Don’t know why they named the storm Dorian because it seems like all the D storms are bad (Dora, Diane, Donna etc) During Dora every teen was only worried the Beatles wouldn’t be here on their 1st American tour😂! They brought them in by helicopter, so the show went on as scheduled! Thanks for all the great reporting! Diane C Keniston Fleming Island

This App!!!. Gets the job done into keeping you up to date with what’s going on!!! But like the tracking nature the predictions of its path seems way off.

Great weather app. This app is perfect for anyone who lives in “Hurricane-Alley” needs an app like this one. Perfect graphics and intuitive icons make it simple use.

Change Colors. The font color and shading of the headers is almost unreadable with light gray and green. That just changed this year. Otherwise great App.

Good app but needs more. This app is pretty good. However, it needs some improvements: I should not need to tap on the images to make them zoomable, it needs more images showing rainfall, wind, etc., needs animated images, weather videos and news, past storm trajectory, animated graphics, etc.

Weather. You need to update your weather maps. They all are 3 to 4 years old.

Not In Fl.. I downloaded this app. way back when I lived in Fl. I’ve relocated to Va. and this is the best no nonsense hurricane tracker. The info I need to plan and not too much more. I don’t even bother with any of the big name sites, too much fluff.

Can you please date your information?. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the old info and the new info. Can you please date the images so we know what’s old and new? Thank you

Great Hurricane App. Only issue is that when you zoom in on a map you just a fuzzy crop of the original map. The resolution is bad and you can’t really see details while zooming

Where is the hurricane?. Overall this APP is informative and worthwhile BUT they should indicate when a hurricane might hit a city/town based on its current speed and direction with the assumption it's direction and speed are subject to change at any time.

Simple, reliable. When all the weather reports claimed Dorian would slam into Florida, this site gave the European and US storm tracking models showing this hurricane would come close but not land on East coast of Florida.

The cannel 4news for Ajax.. I love Chan4 news. It is the only channel I watch. I feel like the channel 4 reporters and anchors are part of my family. My Dad who passed away in 1995 loved watching George Winterly. I have watched channel 4 since I was a child. Keep up the good work guys. Channel 4 news is the absolute best news channel.

App. What is up with this app, there is no icons to click on for anything, what a let down, I thought the app was dead so I deleted it and installed new but the same let down just too many clicks to use sorry wont be watching channel 4 no more

Current Weather. Outstanding radar coverage of current weather and also great for tracking tropical systems.

BEST source for information. Mike and his team are the ONLY source we use for weather and hurricane information. Their up to the minute forecasts keep us safe and let’s us know what to expect and when. No better storm and weather coverage from any other source!

Simply the best!. I’m a commercial pilot and I fly extensively in the Southern US, Caribbean and Central America. This app is my go to for an overview of tropical storms and projected tracks through those regions.

Best Storm Tracker. This is the most complete storm tracking app I’ve found so far. I live in Florida and I highly recommend anyone in a storm prone area to download this app. It has shown me the most information in a user friendly app. I especially like the “Tropics Watch” aspect. This shows you the areas and the percentage that the area has for a storm to be born. I love this app.

Best hurricane app. I’ve checked out several weather apps and this is the best one. It is easy to use and has simple, colorful graphics that quickly give me all the info I need to know to keep my family safe when a storm is approaching.

I don’t always know name of hurricanes. I would like to be able to see a map of where all are as I sometimes have to click all to locate the storm

Hurricane app. It’s good to get quick updates on storms. All you get is weather, so you don’t have to search through all the other junk to see what you want.

Life on the River in Picolata. I’m a believer of this app (had it on my phone for many years )living on the river regardless of how big or small the weather event may be, it is a great reference tool to keep you storm ready. It’s checked frequently especially after two really bad destructive hurricanes in the past. It’s so helpful, great job by the news4jax weather team keeping us up to date and informed. First Choice. This app should be on every device available to anyone who lives or cares about individuals who live in areas prone to hurricane effects. It is kept current and contains information organized in an easy to access format. Should be part of every hurricane kit.

Suggestions for improvement. Show the projected wind speeds for each area in the cone of concern after each update provided by NOAA.

Ads…Ads….Ads!!!. The new update is annoying with ads which tells me they will offer us a ‘No Ad’ version…for a price. For this reason I’ve uninstalled this app. The NOAA Hurricane Tracker has ZERO ads and more informative.
