UV Index Widget - Worldwide is a convenient app that lets you monitor the Sun’s radiation levels anywhere on Earth. It shows the current UV Index, today’s peak forecast, and a 7-day UV forecast. The app instantly displays your current UV Index (UVI) in an easy-to-understand format. Just tap and hold to view today's highest UVI reading. You can also check the sunrise and sunset times, along with the moment when the UV Index peaks.

7-day hour-by-hour forecast:
The Forecast tab provides an hour-by-hour UVI prediction for the next 7 days.

My Skin:
In the My Skin section, select your skin type for tailored safety tips and recommendations. You can also monitor your sun exposure and receive alerts when there’s a high risk of sunburn. Additionally, the app tracks your Vitamin D production from sunlight and automatically syncs the data to your Apple Health app.

Places:
In the Places tab, you can select any location around the world to see its current UV radiation and a 7-day forecast. It's a great tool for checking the UV levels at your travel destination before you head out.

Widget:
The app offers a variety of Home Screen widgets and Lock Screen Widgets, designed for both your iPhone and Apple Watch. Choose from multiple options to customize your experience on the Home Screen, Today view and Apple Watch.

Notifications:
The app alerts you when the UV Index exceeds your specified threshold, sending a notification whenever your area's UV levels surpass that mark. It also warns you when you're at high risk of sunburn and reminds you to reapply sunscreen.

Apple Health app:
The app automatically logs your location's hourly UV Index and the vitamin D generated from sun exposure into the Apple Health app. Open Apple Health to review your UV exposure history and vitamin D data.

Apple Watch:
Monitor the UV Index directly from your watch. Tap and hold to view today's peak UVI, just like in the iOS app. The watch app also features a My Skin section and a 7-day hourly forecast. Additionally, you can always check the UVI right on your favorite watch face using the included UVI complications.

The app will work anywhere in the world, and is a perfect companion whether you are at home or travelling.

UV Index Widget - Worldwide Comments & Reviews 2026

Add the ability to input whether or not UPF protective clothing is being used. Look at the title. Otherwise the only thing I could think about is considering adding in-app features which address sunscreen application reminders in regards to things such as how frequently to apply indoors, with blackout curtains, etc. thanks :)

Life Changing. This app is so helpful to determine whether or not, and the level of sun protection one needs, especially if you are a low number on the Fitzpatrick scale! I use it about every day.

Simple, beautiful app and a friendly developer. I love data, and I sunburn in 15 minutes, so it's no surprise that I've tried just about every UV index app in the app store. I've been a little unsatisfied with all of them until now; either they don't have features I want, or the API they're using stops working and the dev never fixes the app. This app is thoughtfully designed and a pleasure to use. After emailing the dev, Bjørn, to ask about adding a feature, I feel even happier about supporting his work. He was very friendly and replied within a day to let me know the feature already existed in the app and how to use it. For those curious: I asked about a feature to notify me when the UV index drops below a certain level, and Bjørn told me that whatever threshold I set for a "too high" notification, the app will tell me when the UVI goes above *or* below that. I just got a notification that the UVI dropped below 4, which means it's almost time for my walk, no sunscreen needed for me. :) If you're looking for cleanly presented, detailed data on the forecasted UV index and time to burn for your location, skin type, environment (pavement, snow, etc.), time of day, cloud cover, and more, this is your app. I paid for the pro features and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Great concept however their are a few weaknesses. I use this app everyday to track how intense the sun is going to be today. I wish there was a way for it to track the cumulative amount of sun that you receive much like the movement tracking on the Apple Fitness app. Then when the sun is down, add that data to the health app. It needs more options for clothing coverage such as a hat, combo for shorts and long sleeve shirts. Overall it’s a great version 1.4 but a version 1.9 with these options would be just fantastic.

Nice UV app with a bug 🐞. The bug 🐞 is when traveling the Apple Watch app doesn’t update with your location. The annoying fix that I have used was to close the app on the watch and restart the watch. Sadly it sometimes takes multiple attempts to fix this. Developers, please fix this bug. Overall it is nice to quickly see the UV high for the day and decibel granularity. However, the zero isn’t needed on the complication, it just takes up space.

Haven’t even had the chance to try it. I genuinely think, at full working capacity, this app would be my godsend. I love the idea of an hourly forecast and push notifications for a customizable UV Index. And as a UX designer, it’s my opinion that this UI looks clean and intuitive, which I highly appreciate. However, the app doesn’t seem to recognize that I started my 3 day trial. The app store shows I’m subscribed, but the app is still blocking me from accessing premium options. I’d love to try out this app and base my rating off of my actual experience with it after this is resolved. Edit: It actually seems to be very inaccurate. The app said it was UV 6 when it was actually UV 8. That’s a large disparity. I think I’ll stick to the default weather app on my phone, unfortunately.

Almost Perfect. All I wish is it’d use the “Time in Daylight” feature on the Apple Watch so it could track how much sunlight you’ve had automatically which would be perfect for SunScreen and Vitamin D Tracking

Good app but could be better. I just bought this app for the modular watch face. Very easy app to use. I had a slight problem getting it started and reflecting the UV index. But after sending a review to the developer, I received instructions on how to fix the problem. I am very happy to be able to use this and the features on the free version are wonderful. Thanks for the great customer service. If you are concerned about the UV when you go out I would recommend getting this app.

Get This App. This app is amazing!!! This helps me so much. If you get this app make sure to test your skin type, then if you want to tan you see how much time until you put more sunscreen on. Get The App

Broken now. Well.... Idk. I'm a redhead with pale skin so I wanted a good uv app. At first it was awesome, and my favorite uv app... But now it no longer works on my phone!! It always says the uv is 0 and I know that is definitely wrong. It just doesn't work anymore. I know it's broken because it still works on my iPad... But I don't want to have to bring my iPad everywhere just to check the uv. It was great on my phone/ watch but oh well. Can you please fix this?

Starts my day. Being fair-skinned and blond, I’m always concerned about the UV levels. So I check this site each morning before going out to enjoy the day.

Great when it works. I love this app, and use it to help know when I need to be more careful with my time in the sun. However, I’m noticing large periods where it doesn’t work. It isn’t showing the UVI, I’m not getting the alerts I requested for the UVI going above or below the requested alert level, and it’s incredibly infuriating. I work outdoors, and I have a housemate who’s sensitive to the UVI, and we both rely on those alerts as well as the app actually telling us what the UVI is. Right now, as I type this, it’s saying the UVI is 0 with a peak UVI of 0, bug when I go to the forecast it says the peak is 6. This needs to be fixed.

Was looking for a replacement for Tantastic and found it. Disclaimer: this review is NOT to push a prior app that Apple disallowed due to its focus - I only used the app because I have very sensitive skin. That being said - this app is a very worthy replacement for that app for what I need - it shows me what the UV is now, what the max will be, and what the UV will be over the entire day. This then tells me early in the day if I need sunscreen (usually!) well before I go out so that the sunscreen will have time to be absorbed and for it to be able to do it’s job properly so I don’t get burned. The widget is very well designed as well with both the current and max values. Very well done, as a person with sensitive skin I highly recommend it

Makes it easier!. Love this app as it helps us plan to avoid the highest UV days/times, helps me reason with kids and grandparents who just don’t want to worry about this kind of thing.

I have just download the app and it has a really old fashioned design. I wish you could add logo design and in general a more attractive design This app looks very old fashioned And the design for Apple Watch is truly ugly The menu has too big letters and the drawings of the circle interface with rainbow circle is so simple and at the same time old fashioned . It looks like an app for old people

Works well for predicting the UVI for specific days.. I make limited edition photogravures and use the sun for my exposures. This app, the pro version, gives me forecasts of UVI for a week, allowing me to decide in advance what days I can expose on. Works great.

UV Index is not accurate. I used the paid version of the app and it shows the UV index at 5 while the weather app on my iPhone and Accuweather both show 10 and 11 respectively. I just went for a walk and even though it’s 73, I felt my skin scorching, so I’m more inclined to believe the other two apps. This app has one job and it failed. I don’t generally write 1 star reviews but this being potentially used as a health app, I believe inaccurate information presents a public hazard.

Intuitive dynamically updates. Nice UI, updates dynamically - some other apps you have to force, seems to be more or less close to truth.

App is good. One issue however. From what I can tell there is no way for this app to update the apple health UV index data if you kill the app. While this is understandable, this was only mentioned *after* they force you to pay for the feature. That felt annoying. If that was fixed I would update my review. UPDATE: Developer response was good and they considered my suggestion. Updating to 5 stars. Thank you.

Widget does not work when traveling!. This app is alright if one stays in the same time zone. When travelling, all the indications in the widget are wrong. For example, when coming to Europe from the US, it shows sunrise at 1:55 AM! The funny thing is that the app itself updates to local time, but the widget does not. Also, there is something weird with the way notifications work: say I set a threshold of 5, I get notified when the UV level reaches 6 on the way up, and 5 on the way down…

Good app for UV exposure. I use this widget in a stack with other weather apps. It’s the only one that gives me UV index info. I had a weird problem once and the developer worked with me personally to get it fixed - you can’t beat that! 😊

This app saves my skin!. I love how accurate this app is. The free features are perfect to avoid those UV rays while still enjoying the outdoors. As a driver for work and with very fair skin, I get sunburned even in the car so I use this app to know what to wear each day to avoid as much UV as possible. Thanks to the developers of this app. I paid for the full lifetime subscription

Unresponsive. After this last update the app has flatlined . 2 bad there’s no other feedback mechanism than this review. Now I’ll be spending (how long?) coming up with an untaken nickname to get this posted

Excellent App. I’m fighting Melasma with Type IV Skin. I didn’t watch UV levels which is how I got sun damage. I’m getting laser treatments now and this App is part of the cure. Now I can monitor UV levels 24/7 anywhere, anytime. I bought the lifetime subscription and it’s worth every penny.

Best except tracking. Best such app I’ve found but i wish it would charge a fee instead of tracking me (not both!) Also a “get some Vitamin D soon” notification would be great when i haven’t met my goal by X hours before sunset.

Vitamin D!. LOVE being able to track the amount of Vitamin D that I’m getting from sitting in the sun. Just wish it kept my daily data stored in the app in a list or calendar form.

great app. simple and easy to navigate. i’m getting into skincare so being able to track uv and be reminded to reapply sunscreen is A++! also premium is a affordable one time purchase and fully worth it tbh.

Simple and User-Friendly. Have been using this app for years. Gives great visuals. Love to track my UV exposure, and it integrates seamlessly with Apple Health. *One update I’d like to see is the addition of higher sunscreen SPFs. Current version only goes to 50 SPF, but there are sunscreens on the market now as high as 110 SPF ☀️

Saving my skin. I am a level two Fitzpatrick skin type and have had several bad burns throughout my life. This is a great way to monitor metrics for possible burns, UV exposure, vitamin D, and it works seamlessly in any location I’ve been in. Highly recommend

Better than weather app. With much more detailed information than the weather app, along with the ability to track your sun exposure, this app is certainly worth the nominal price.

Great app!. TLDR; Amazing app, incredible developer communication. The features in the app work flawlessly, and intuitively. I had a question for the developer and sent an email. They responded in just a few hours with more detail than I expected.

Almost perfect. I’m very pale and burn easily. I work outside in the ecology field. 99% or my work day is spent outside and I need proper sun protection. This app is amazing for people like me who need to respect the sun. My only complaint is the function where the app warns you once a specified UV rating has been reached. I currently set mine to 3. Every time I get the notification alert that it’s UV 3 I open the app to find out that it’s well above UV 3. This isn’t a big deal to most people but for a lot of us this can be a matter of getting burnt or not. Still though. Very happy customer. App looks and feels good to use. The amount of times I’ve been sun burnt has gone down a lot since finding this app. However i fell that success rate would be higher if the alert notification mentioned earlier was more accurate.

One minor fix. I love this app, especially the Apple Watch complications and widget. However, I just upgraded to Premium and noticed the UV displayed on the watch complication and widget are different than the current UV displayed when you open the app. Can you make it so the complication and widget display what is displayed in the app?

Strait to the point. Lots of apps have the UV index buried in the app. Dark sky has this too, but hunting for it with 15 taps is a pain. This app brings one of the most useful pieces of weather data front and center so I can plan my day and track my exposure. In the summer this app is a lifeline to help me avoid burning, and help me to know that even though the sun may be “hot” it may not be in the UV exposure that is harmful. In the winter and shoulder months, this app helps me to plan the most pleasant times to be outside, as the sunshine is often more useful than raw temperature. Fully supports widgets, Apple Watch, AW complications and great info. Thank you!

Doesn’t sync well with Apple Health. This is a really great app with a lot of information available to the user. My only complaint is the App used to sync well with Apple Health, but it doesn’t work as well as it did before. Developer: I am using Apple iOS OS,  iPhone 14 Pro Max, but the issue was also on my  iPhone 13 Pro Max as well. Using the most recent version of your app that is offered from the  Apple App Store. I paid for the full version of the app, and it will now only sync when I press the “restore purchase” option for a couple days, then I have to redo it. Thank You.

Free app is limited geographically. I was surprised and disappointed to discover that this app, which I’d previously given 5 stars, has a map feature, but does not allow me to see today’s UV forecast for another state.

Amazing. I reference this app daily to strategically choose my daily sun protection. I have been using this app for a little over two years and am so much more aware of the UV index and the potential for skin damage.

Very Good App. This is a very good app. Works all over the world. If I could see the ACTUAL uv index in real time, instead of a projected index assuming a clear day, it would be more useful. Also, it would be helpful to see a forecasted hour-by-hour projection. With these additional enhancements, I would definitely give the app 5 stars!

UVI App is Awesone. Anyone whoever goes outdoors should have this App. It provides awareness of the UV index and allows for an adjustment of many factors relating to sun and skin sensitivity, sun exposure, aggravating risks and mitigating risks. I use the paid version for enhanced features, but even the free one is great by itself. I have even mentioned this App to my medical specialists who will likely share this App with their colleagues and patients that should manage there sun exposure.

Love this App!. Great App and great customer service! I do rely on it since I am very sensitive to the sun UV rays and living down South doesn’t help but I had a question about how to set it up so it matches my weather App and I got all the help I needed right away :) I do recommend it to anyone caring for their skin.

Perfect Widget!. I have this widget on my home screen and it’s works and looks great. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a reminder to apply sunscreen throughout out the day and to just be aware of the uv index. Super simple and clean!

Watch complication is 👌🏼. I just needed it for a UV watch complication and it’s great. Displays predicted high for the day as well as current index. Tapping the complication brings up any other detail I might want 👍🏼 People complaining about accuracy have no life 😭 Like they’re really planning key life moves based on a single number from an app 🙄

BEST SUN APP ON THIS STORE. I have adamantly utilize this app over the last three years, and it has truly changed my life. having full awareness of the UV index being able to fully protect your skin while enjoy the beautiful benefits of sun and the UV index is below… Is unmatched. I have the widget on my watch, my iPhone and could not be happier with the free version. -David Orland Brown aka Mr. Atlanta

Analytics would be good. Love this app! Though it would be helpful for us to access analytics about our sun exposure; specifically how much time we logged in the sun without sunscreen and with sunscreen. It would also be helpful to automatically activate sun exposure when we input that we’ve put on sunscreen (kindof intuitive).

Great app.. Very helpful and informational to protect yourself in the sun. It would be a really cool upgrade if the app could use data from Apple health to automatically sense time outdoors and prompt for sun protection and tracking automatically.

Love it so much. It's really good an I love it so much because it helped my determine my skin type. The only confusing part was that whenever I would see when the UV would go lower the time kept changing. For example I would drag the little circle over and it said it dropped to 7.9 at 1:30 but then when I did it again it said it wouldn't drop until 1:55. Overall I would recommend this app

Ok app, widgets lacking. The app is good… I especially like the ability to track sun exposure. The one thing that keeps this from being a 5-star app (and the reason I use a different app) is that the widget offerings are a little lacking. These only show the UV index number, or only show how much time you have left in the sun for the day. Other UV app widgets show the current weather, amount of time before burn and how long to get the Vitamin D needed, in addition to the UV index, in one small widget.

Does not update. Both the Home Screen widget and the app itself are not updating. The widget can be out of date for days (!!!) and when I open the app it will show me old, but different data. Then there’s almost invisible loading indicator in bottom right corner that will spin for up to a minute before actually showing something relevant. The location doesn’t seem to update well either - I’d be hours in a different town, and it would still show the previous one.

Spring 2024 update. I have watchOS 10.4 installed and was anxious to try the revamped UV index watch app. But when I add the app, the icon doesn’t appear on my watch. I have no problem adding other apps so it must be a bug which I’m sure will be fixed. So I’m still giving 5 stars!

READ THIS! 🆘. I am in loveeee with this app it’s amazing! But… you have to pay for premium to see what the uv is from any other place then your current location!! Jesus loves you!! ✝️💗💕😘🤗 bye!

Difficult to predict based on their wheel. I downloaded 5 similar apps to test them all out, and I gravitated towards this one first because of the nice graphic. However, the rotating wheel, rotates in the wrong direction, and instead of showing you how the UV index increases throughout the day and decreases towards the evening, it is more binary, and will only show you first thing in the morning, midday, and late in the evening. That’s no good for me. I need to know during the daytime when it’s okay for me to be outside, but this app can’t tell you. Instead of going from green to Orange to read to purple, it can only go from yellow to purple and nowhere in between on those days when it is extreme. And in Sydney during the summer every day is extreme. It would’ve been nice if they allowed feedback from within the app, but obviously they are not interested, so I am better off forgetting this and moving onto the next app.

I’ve index. I find knowing the Uv index very handy for planning what time of day to go out and taking the dog for a walk. As I am very fair skinned and burn easily 😊

Not accurate for Melbourne. The app doesn’t give accurate readings for Melbourne Australia. And it Costs $7.49Aud

Stopped working on my Apple Watch. I really like this app and find it really useful, however recently it has stopped working on my Apple Watch. I have tried deleting the app off my watch and loading it back on again. Then I tried again with my phone, and still it isn’t working on my watch.

Awesome!!!. Good to alert yourself to stay away from very high UV in particular time of day.

Life saver!. This app is a life saver for me literally. Having survived a diagnosis of stage 4 Melanoma, I use this app every day to see when it’s safe for me to walk the dog or garden. I know when to cover up thanks to this app. It’s quick, easy and accurate to check our harsh Aussie sun’s UV levels. Thank you!!! Just recently I’ve noticed my iPad and iPhone give different readings. The iPad has the pro version and the iPhone the free. The readings on the iPad are always too low compared to the phone. Weird. That’s the only reason for the 3 stars, otherwise it would be 5. I rely on this app so much.

Uv app. It’s great to have an app like this one As it warns you of the high levels of uv in the outdoor

Everyone should use this app. What a great way to check the UV index. Clear and simple… love it!

Waste of time & incorrect. Charges for widgets when most apps don’t, can get better elsewhere and the UV rating is usually incorrect by a lot. Was saying my area was only 7 when it was UV 11 which is shown on multiple different sites

Wonderful app. Quick and easy to use and so useful. Have t upgraded to full use yet but seems cheap enough to do so.

Isaac Emiliani’s. 24 February 1999

Fabulous app!. Needed this brilliant app expressly for my skin. 5 Star!

Easy as. Brilliant app. Very handy.

Best app ever. Really well designed app, and the data is much more accurate than the default Apple weather app. Apple watch widget is great. I no longer get sunburnt any more. Best app I’ve ever purchased, well worth the price.

Uv index. A very good useful app

UV inaccurate for my area. Widget states it's 5 in my area, weather app says 2 and it feels like 2. A bit disappointing!

UV Wise. Am very appreciative of this app - great that it reflects your location and there is an ability to notify if UV level reaches relevant rating - helps me manage time in the sun and even where the sun is not obvious but the UV levels are 3+ the app alerts to this

Complication fails to update. Love this app but after updating to Apple Watch 7 the complication fails to update on the watch face. This seems to be a reoccurring problem every time I update hardware.

Need auto-update function. This app is perfect for my childcare centre. We use it to constantly show children the UV here in Australian, and keep them safe. However, I would love if the app updated the UV automatically ever 1-5 minutes when left open. Currently we have to tap the screen to update the UV, which isn’t perfect. Perhaps an option to apply for educational or childcare purposes with different functionality? We just love the UV display but only want that!

In app purchase!. Maybe I’m tired of downloading an app for free and finding out all you get is a pretty icon on your screen. The app (without a paid upgrade) shows the UV for the day when you open app. I haven’t tested if it does it while I’m in Nepal next month. If it does I’ll update my review, but I’m not holding out much hope.

Keeps crashing. Great app but it keeps crashing every time I open it. It’s very annoying as I have the pro version. Contact me if you want more details.

Basic. Quite basic. Doesn't give any really value beyond what any weather site would give.

Basic function good. Time font it too small, too much unused space between histogram bars

Innaccurate work of fiction. Had uv index at 4 at night and went higher as night went on - how is this possible?, stated my suburb was overcast when it was clear blue skies. Was way off the government agency in Australia that measures UV. For something that is to assist people making healthy sun choices the uv index needs to be super accurate and timely.

Optional Extra Features, Free Basic. $0.00 for all fundamental features this app is expected for, considerable price for advanced extra!

Know when it is dangerous. Great to be able to know when to go inside

Bob. I don’t give reviews

Simple & Effective UV App. I love the widget. Check the UV at a glance on your home screen. Click in to see it change over the day. Highly recommend.

Misleading screenshots in App Store. App Store shots appeared to show a graph with when UV levels got to extreme - app doesn't actually seem to do this. The in app purchases ($1.49) change nothing at all in my app.

Counting the rays. I’ve been using this excellent app to see how long I can spend in the sun and get enough Vitamin D to sustain me throughout the year. I always look to see what the sunburn time is and set my stopwatch. I’m keto so I know the importance of getting sun. Never been burned,,, except for one time in London when it said there wasn’t any UV.

Don’t buy!!. The app was fine for a while and then it wasn’t... the UV is always wrong. The worst part is when I tried contacting the developer, he never got back to me. This was a waste of $10.99 no wonder why he won’t reply.

Good. Good

Free widget now pro only. Shame 👎🏻. The widgets were free in iOS 13 and now you have to pay to get the same widget in iOS14. No, thank you. Deleted.

Good!. Great application - would be good to be able to receive notifications at multiple UV levels rather than just one.

Uv rating inaccurate. I tried this app but seeing it's supposed to be important data for health reasons, it's inaccurate for my region... hence it's useless

Don’t waste your time. Bought this app and then paid for the premium option to get the UV bars which cost me $10 and did absolutely nothing. 🤬😡😤🖕

UV app. UV app has been really helpful

UV is epic. I need UV otherwise I will explode

Awesome and helpful. Simple, easy to use. Saves my skin on a daily basis. Thank you!

Good simple app. This is a good app that shows UV info for the current day. It shows both current values and the expected max (by pressing the shown value). I would give it 5 stars if the area under the graph was dynamic, showing the colour corresponding to the expected peak and if it would provide a next day peak value (either via the graph or value). I still recommend it highly as is.

Basic but good. Love the widget because I check it everyday. Safety is priority

Kjn. As a frequent international Traveller I found this app extremely helpful.

Rubbish. Don’t even bother.

No more sunburn. Every day before I go out I check the uv index to see how high it is and I can prepare myself better with what I'm going to wear instead of looking at the temperature

Very Useful!!!. Clean interface, right price, pretty.

The pro version is next level and a must get! Not expensive at all. I recommend to all my clients they you know how much to supplement with. You set it you go out and then it tells you just how much. Genius

Free to Use. In depth information and advice on UV levels through the day. It is free to use, has a premium subscription available. I appreciate the affordable lifetime option.

Widget. Is it possible to change location for the widget, it seems to only use current location. Thank you

Nit as expected. Won’t give exposure times for forcasted times and this app isn’t eligible for a refund.

Extremely Useful!. If you are at all concerned about exposure to the sun, this app is incredibly useful for both planning your day, and monitoring your exposure.

Widget has updating problems. I like this app because it does what it claims. I bought the pro version because I wanted access to the widgets as I want to be able to look at the current UV with a quick glance, but I notice that the widget often has a UV of 0. Sometimes the widget properly updates when I load the actual app, sometimes not. Disappointed because that’s the main reason I bought pro

Skin Protection. For medical reasons, I need to avoid the sun on high UV days. This app is very helpful to me.

Not exact readings. Unfortunately it does correspond with the actual UV readings. Close though. Especially for Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

Quite good. Easy to use application. Highly recommended

Actinic Keratosis. Not very accurate. I control my outdoor activities based on the UV numbers. Your numbers and the weather networks are not even close.

Awareness better than nothing. Given most people do not track UV hence this app provides necessary UV info even if not accurate . Better to be aware than critical of accuracy

Nice App. Has

UV Widget for Apple. Need baddly a french version in your settings

Connectivity issues. This app has been reliable for years until recently. Now it won’t connect with my watch and it’s not an apple issue. Sad, because it’s good otherwise. I’ll have to look elsewhere for a reliable app.

Great. Accurate

Needs work. I love the concept of this app but it is highly inaccurate for my area. This entire hot and sunny week it has given a UV rating of 5.5 or so at peak times and warned of sunburn in 30 minutes. Today, it has been gloomy with a very heavy (and loud) thunderstorm all day. It is currently putting out a rating of 6.3, saying risk of sunburn in 20 minutes, and the weather forecast says “clear skies”. I know there is definitely still UV to be wary of on cloudy days but “clear skies” and a rating of 6.3 is definitely wrong and gives me the impression that this app cannot actually help me understand the UV risk - which was the whole point of downloading it and paying for premium access. I hope I can get my money back, I only downloaded it this week. I will check back in the future and see if it would be worth a try again. I believe it can be good, it just needs work on data sourcing

Great UV app!. Bright, vibrant graphics, the very best of its genre! Suggestion: Very occasionally it doesn't load properly which is easily resolved by reloading it in the App Store, but respectfully suggest you correct this minor issue. Keep up the good work!

Not very accurate. Today it’s mostly cloudy, no way can the UV be a 6.8! The weather network says uv is low right now, I trust it more than this app.

Thank you!. I appreciate that this app is free! It's simple, convenient, and accurate. Thank you so much, bless you!

Exposure tracking doesn’t always work. Generally good. However, the tracking of sun exposure seems to have bugs and not work consistently.

Readings don’t change day to day. I deleted this app - readings stuck at 7.7 for days, even when closing and reopening app. Environmental Health Researcher

Satisfied. Really good app. The best I have found for that purpose. Works really great with Apple Watch and Apple Health. When you register time exposition to the sun, it's not clear how to stop it VS pause it. I'm always confused. Maybe put clearer button's texts.

Love it. I really enjoy this app great app

Dark Mode!. Love this app! Indispensable, but need to have the ability to have automatic dark mode.

Widget won’t work. Unfortunately I bought a subscription thinking I would get to use the widget option on my home screen but no matter what I try I can’t add the feature to my phone. It was the only reason I got it so a little disappointed. A cool app if the features worked

Simple and Helpful. I was always curious to check my UV index location. This app is very helpful to myself and recommend it into anyone looking to tan!!

Essential app for everyone. Having skin cancer I will say this app is used daily if not hourly. Protect yourself and always scan the app. Stay safe!

Added complication to the iWatch. I’ve had the opportunity to speak with the Dev, prior to the most recent update and the adding of the complication to the iWatch. Great communication from him and I’m very happy with the provisions of this app.

Perfect for a day out hiking or anything outside. Perfect for making sure we are covered during the peak times

Great App. I use this app a lot. I refer to it at home and on vacation at the beach. I trust it more than the local news

So helpful!. This is one of those perfect little apps that does exactly what it says it will do.

Useful information. I have very sensitive skin so I checked UV before I go out and take a walk. Love it

Get This App. This app is amazing!!! This helps me so much. If you get this app make sure to test your skin type, then if you want to tan you see how much time until you put more sunscreen on. Get The App

Not what I was hoping for. I trusted this app to update Apple health records but it doesn’t unless if you open the app daily

Best app if you burn easily. I love that it warns you when you’re getting too much sun. I plan playdates around when lower UV days and times are.

Great app. I love this app. I burn easy and need to walk at least somewhere with the lock in ... wearing mask walking in San Francisco up hill lost 7 pounds love this app!!! Ten stars!

Very nice indeed. Traveling thru Europe during Summer was worried about the UV. This certainty helped. Would have been nice to see times of when the UV was at per hour. Other than that great little app!

This is great. I want to get tan before I go to the beach and this helps me do just that 5 stars

GREAT APP, always lets me know when I need a little more sunscreen than usual!. Thank you!

Use this app daily. I spend a lot of time outdoors, it’s very helpful to know when I need to reapply my sunscreen or when I’m at risk to burn.

Fake news. I do like this app concept as it could be very helpful, but the information given is highly inaccurate and many more reputable sources show much higher UV index as this app is saying. Good app within its concept but the content is inaccurate.

Helps manage skin cancer. This is a good app. I have skin cancers on my face and arms, and the app lets me know how much UV radiation I’m exposed to at different times of day.

Perfect UV App.. It does exactly what you want from a UV app and nothing else. Nothing confusing or superfluous. Well done.

Without subscription payment app is useless. I was really interested to try out this app, from a couple of quick review reads it sounded like exactly what I was chasing. After installing, I completed the skin profile questionnaire and setup, but have quickly realized the app is functionally useless without a paid subscription.

Excellent. I love this app!!! I have used it all over the world and it always tell me when is the best time to go to the pool or beach

The duty fulfilled by this app.. As a person with sensitive skin, I pretty much need this app to make sure I can go outside safely.

Best UV app I’ve found. I never go outside without checking this app first!. Lots of useful features and super easy to use. Love this app!

UV APP. I love this all cause I can add it to a widget and just see the UV on my Home Screen it’s very convenient and it tell you the precise UV like for instance (7.6) something like that it’s great

Vitamin D!. LOVE being able to track the amount of Vitamin D that I’m getting from sitting in the sun. Just wish it kept my daily data stored in the app in a list or calendar form.

Changed. I have had this app for at least two years. It’s one I always remember to download when I get a new phone. They recently did an update on it & it doesn’t let you see the forecast for when the highest peak of UV is. I’m very disappointed with the new update.

Stay safe. This app is fantastic. I check it before I leave to exercise. It’s a wonderful tool for protecting your skin.

Don’t buy full version. Bought the full version since it was only a dollar but now the app completely crashes every time I try to open it. Won’t even let me open the app. Deleted and re downloaded and it still is acting the same

Cool. For spring break this will be useful we are 3 weeks short for spring break. Iam buying water balloons and will be outside for a long time but I m Japanese and have brown skin so I may be ok we’ll see. Currently with mostly sunny skies here UV index is 6.5 at max.

Almost Perfect. All I wish is it’d use the “Time in Daylight” feature on the Apple Watch so it could track how much sunlight you’ve had automatically which would be perfect for SunScreen and Vitamin D Tracking

Super handy. I live in Florida and spend a lot of time outside. The widget is super handy so I can open my phone and see anytime what the UV index is on the home screen

READ THIS! 🆘. I am in loveeee with this app it’s amazing! But… you have to pay for premium to see what the uv is from any other place then your current location!! Jesus loves you!! ✝️💗💕😘🤗 bye!

Wish there was a badge. This is a great app but I really wished there was a badge so I can see the current index in my location without opening up the app.

Good buy for those who need UV readings. This app updates real time with accurate UV readings. Setting the threshold option (which is customizable btw) helps master NOT burning in the AZ sun. Also, I have rosacea.. so this is a must!

Useful daily. I am allergic to the sun. This app is useful every day. I can easily judge when and how long to stay outside and what to wear.

Great app. Works for what I needed. Shows the UV levels through out the day at my location and with pro it connects to dark sky weather app to pull in temperatures paired with UV index, magnificent, what a time to be alive living at the beach!

Can’t purchase. Not sure why but I can’t purchase a subscription. Everything else is great though.

Why allow download?. Doesn’t work unless you purchase premium… How can a 80° full sunshine day, display 0 for a UV? That makes no sense… Oh it’s because you Have to purchase the premium or upgrade. Why allow the app to download to begin with instead of just charging up front and being honest? Thanks for the waste of time. Have a nice day.

Perfect Widget!. I have this widget on my home screen and it’s works and looks great. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a reminder to apply sunscreen throughout out the day and to just be aware of the uv index. Super simple and clean!

Very incorrect.. I don’t appreciate the uv changing every 30 minutes. It’s said it was going to be a uv of 7 at 1:00 and when I went outside and checked it it said it was only a uv of 4. It does this every day and I’m tired of it.

Great tool for people with lupus. those apps helps me in enjoy the outdoors without getting too much UV exposure. Even when it’s overcast, UV could be fairly high. This app will inform you the best times a day for healthy sun exposure.

Really nice job …. except. Best such app I’ve found but i wish it would notify at multiple UV levels instead of just one. Also a “go get some Vitamin D” notification would be nice when i haven’t met my goal by X hours before sunset.

Forecast. Disappointed that the forecast is limited to just today and tomorrow. Requires a purchased Pro” version to see beyond that. A week doesn’t seem unreasonable in the free version.

Very useful for UV. I live in Florida and find it very helpful to avoid sunburn. Like the skin type factor and sun screen level input.

Starts my day. Being fair-skinned and blond, I’m always concerned about the UV levels. So I check this site each morning before going out to enjoy the day.

turned into a scam :(. this app WAS great, I loved having the UV index as a widget and it was super easy to check... then one day it said “pro version required”? why would I need to pay for this? I can find the UV index in the weather app easily, it was just convenient having it in my dashboard on my phone. but paying for it? why?

Intuitive dynamically updates. Nice UI, updates dynamically - some other apps you have to force, seems to be more or less close to truth.

Good. it helps so much but the part i hate is the pro like why can’t we see if our skin is going to burn
