No longer downloads video clips.. Was great for downloading video clips, but this update removed this option.

DO NOT UPDATE. do not even think about updating this app, before you could even download videos and any types of files, now if you update it you will not download certain files such as videos and mp3......don’t even think about updating this app because before it was amazing. i still have the old version myself.

Download !!!. What did you guys do with the Video download option? That’s a big downfall !!!!! Please bring that option back

Download(?). Hi. I use this app for years already. Been download videos for my training program. But suddenly the app won’t download any videos anymore. Please fix this.

Excellent but.... The app is very good and I use it to play my mp3s instead of my iPads music player. There is just on problem. There is no file search feature. I have to open one file at a time to browse my music. If you could put some type of search, that would be excellent. I would like to be able to search for a song in my files just by typing in the name of the song. Other than that I would recommend this app to anyone. Not only that, but you can back up your music to any cloud account you like. Great for bypassing the fee to use iTunes music back up.

Update was a horrible idea. Why did they ruin their own app? Whoever thought redesigning the app was a good idea should probably just be fired. I can’t think of reason why you didn’t just make a new different app instead of replacing this one? Anyways, when I accidentally end up updating this app I will more than likely just delete it because of this awful decision made by the creators/owners.

They completely replaced the app from under us!. This used to be a very useful app that could download videos from websites. Then, without warning, the last update removed the only feature that made this app worthwhile. After the update, it is literally a completely different app. The developer has stolen a useful tool from the users and replaced it with an inferior app. Would not recommend this new version to anyone. Massively disappointed.

WORST UPDATE EVER. Yes they added some awesome new features but looks like it was at the cost of those features that we all originally had downloaded this app for... totally not worth it!

This Update Ruined The App.. I used to use this app to listen to music and watch videos, but this update has removed almost everything that made the app worth using for me. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

No more video downloading?!?. This app used to downloading ad videos from websites. Since 3.0, this feature is gone. This was the main feature I used. I also used the hide from time-to-time. Luckily, that is still there. Bring back downloading and I’m a happy camper again.

Minor annoyance. Recent update was nice and fixed most of the issues. Only thing I’m annoyed with now is that gifs are always in minimized view and zooming in manually if you want full view. Nonetheless, keep it up devs, you’re doing good work.

Return my money thief ruined the app. Dear dev team the only reason i was not on the new iOS was this app because of fear or losing the app i decide not to upgrade to ios 11 but now you have taken the app from me this all new UI is not bad but without the download feature i don't see why i should keep this anymore please return the app feature or return my money thank you.! Return the previous application. The developer really disappointed us you know i had this application for more than 4 years and when ios 11 come it was not compatible with but i keep it waiting for an update and at the end the update is this bad application what a pity

Scrubber Workaround. Regarding the previous review that expressed concern about the loss of the scrubber to scroll through videos: I've had some luck with using a triple finger double tap to bring it up. Sometimes takes several tries before it responds, but it works. You'll get a "Done" button, which will restore the previous un-dismissable title bar and >> to bring back the sidebar. Until we get a better fix, this will at least let us get the scrubber up, if really needed. One star ding for this little glitch, otherwise, as they say in Italy, "FANTASTICO!" Just hope it doesn't get taken down again, I've downloaded tons of stuff with it!

Do not update. Totally new app that doesn’t download. I want my money back. This app used to be called turbo downloader when I purchased.😡

Downloader disabled. This app used to be great, but now ALL WEBSITES have downloads disabled. It claims that downloads are disabled to comply with that websites terms of service, but there are literally download websites (e.g:soundcloud) that let you legally download songs, that are blocked. You press the official download button on any website, and amerigo says it's blocked. The website lets, but amerigo doesn't. And then amerigo lies about it.

Easy to use. Nice GUI.. This is a great program. Highly recommended.

Heart broken. This was my most valuable app. For just one feature - downloading. I’m Sad that the only important feature was taken away . Good bye Amerigo . Hello stranger ... time to delete you .

USED to be one of my favorites!. The “new version” of the app seems to be an entirely new app. The new audio player crashes with a regularity that makes it almost unusable, which is extremely frustrating to say the least. It also doesn’t download things with the same ease, and some file types seem to no longer be supported. The older versions of this app were fantastic. This one not so much. Please fix it (i.e. go back to the old one) or at least make this one work better and I’ll change the rating...

Some bugs. It doesn't download some videos after the update

Don’t upgrade. After update this is not the application I had and more like file manager which I could download better app than this one if you planned to change the app you could do it new app and let the old stay the same you make me happy after I saw the upgrade and very sad and disappointed after. and i used the app for last 10 years or more thank you for last 10 years.

Not playlist. You used to be able to make playlists, but now it's impossible. Each folder works as a playlist and that's wrong, very wrong. Fix that. Fix that.

So far, my favorite downloader. I have tried so many downloaders and, by far, Amerigo is the easiest and can download any video that you can actually play on your iPad. If you can see it, you can download it in two taps on the screen - as soon as you see the video start playing, it pops up two buttons: one that starts the download and one with an X to dismiss. If you hit the download button, then hit ok and boom, there you go. Easy and you can create a playlist too.

Not the app that I purchased. Purchase the app when it first came out was very happy with it.. I can understand due to copyrights you had to change it... Unfortunately I no longer need the app or recommend it.. It’s easier to download Firefox and share things through Files ... best of luck from a once happy customer. To the design of the original version of the app “thank you” for creating magic...

Faded Glory. This was probably my favourite app for easily downloading vids... now we are left with basically yet another web browser... why do I need another browser? Waste of space really... faded glory...

Download option for videos. In the previous versions, when a video played in browser, the download option would automatically appear. However, in this version, that feature is not working. Please restore it. I mentioned you about this problem about two months ago but after two update, it’s not fixed yet. Would you please answer me?

Auto Updated to horrible app. Wow, removed the primary feature! There are so many apps that do just this.

Worth the wait. For a while was unable to open app due to IOS 11 issues, and patiently waited for the developers to update and I have been a supporter of this app for YEARS. Great app. Have used to more than one phone. Even better for business needs.

Love this app!. This is my go-to app for grabbing and sharing videos from social media with friends who aren’t on social media. Amerigo makes it easy.

Best app of its kind I have tried since ipad2 release. What is really important is that this update preserved all the functionality of the previous version, unlike with many other apps of similar kind, which cut some of its functions you really got used to without even a warning in the "what's new" section of the app's description. It would be great to have a time line strip to run through the video file and find the moment you are looking for without having to Open In video in third party video player app. Tested on iOS8 iPad mini Retina, no issues so far.

No video download option?.... Bring back video and audio download option. This app served me well the last 5 years but now it no longer serves me so I may have to let it go... will miss you amerigo..

What happened !!!. You had good features to browser and download video / audio seamlessly. That with file manager would make good app. Most reviewers are disappointed you completely removed key feature paid users got this app for. It is now a matter of trust and I can’t trust this app.

Awesome. This app was good and useful, before the update. Before it did exactly what it needed to do, download files etc. I've never felt so compelled before to write a review but I just had to after this update. JUST WOW! It's so good that I don't even know where to begin. The interface is so much smoother and cleaner, making it look extremely professional. They added a really cool side menu that even has a mini player in it! One thing that bugged me before was that if you exited a video before, it would stop playing but they fixed that now. Overall just wonderful (other apps take note)

Flawless. Downloads very quickly in high quality. I used to use my pc for downloading movies; now I just fire up the Amerigo app. Well done...

A brilliant utility. I have found this utility to be handy again and again. Zip files, embedded video all become usable. Highly recommended.

Not what I originally purchased.. I originally purchased this app as a downloader app that was great for downloading videos and pictures from the web, but now it’s a completely different app!!! You can’t download videos or pictures anymore, so I’m very disappointed in the developers. There was no explanation why they were changing the app, they just did it, without warning.

Fantastic App.. But has #problems. A fantastic app that does all it should, but has a small annoying bug regarding saved file names.. It does not seem to handle symbol characters (#\%{}) correctly. If you use a symbol in a filename, it ignores it....

Rebuild not what I thought. I originally got this app as a video downloader. With the latest update it appears to have lost this function completely and is all about file storage. Not what I signed up for.

Stealing my $. I paid for the full version of this app previously for the download function. It should be illegal for them to just transform it into something completely new. I want my $back !!

5 *. Does what the others don't, easy to use. Name grab from web page helps a lot. Only minor complaint is when scrolling through a page, sometimes the download link keeps popping up. Regardless, still the best I have used on iOS.

Excellent app. Easy, fun and quick. It even has a converter to customize your own ringtones from downloaded videos.

Not the App I bought - DO NOT UPDATE. The previous version of the app is a video manager/downloader. This an entirely something different. Please advertise this as a new app and update the previous version of the app. I’ll be more than happy to pay for a new version of it. This way you’re taking away an app that is useful to me and you replace it with something useless to me.

Only feature worth keeping gone. The only reason I brought this app a few years ago was the ability to download video files of the internet. Well it’s gone. Really disappointed the only feature worth keeping has gone. This company should reimburse everyone who brought this app before this update.

Such a waste of money. I originally purchased years ago on the basis that I could download any video file to watch off-line later. Over time they have remove most of its functionality leaving it to be absolutely pointless and a total waste of money. I pity any one that has wasted their money on the app like I did.

Bucket of pus. I cannot believe it went from years of great use to what ever this is! What the hell? You buy a piece of software then you turn it into this? What happened to evolution or modifications based on customer demand?

Playback stuffed. There’s an issue with the songs skipping to the next or repeating the song. I have to go back into the app then it will start playing again. PLEASE FIX THIS!!! it’s irritating that the song doesn’t just automatically play. I use this app more than the normal music app so pls fix. Also when i’m in the control centre i can’t skip or pause the song

Should be renamed to - AmriBackward. The app is not what I had previously purchased. Please refund all of the users who previously bought the app for what it was suppose to be for (downloading anything which could be downloaded). The new update is not unique as it says in its description. In fact the new update is just trying to copy other apps such as FileApp. New users please do not buy as the developers can totally change the functionality to something you did not sign up for after you have spent your money. Get back to your loyal customers and revert the App back to what everyone previously purchased it for.

Amazing. This app is perfect for downloading video and audio. Audio can play in the background even when the phone's locked and files can be transferred into the app from your computer and vice versa, amazing app I love it.

Only downloads a text file instead of videos. This app used to work well. But it is sadly not well supported and has issues with downloading videos which have not being fixed even after I emailed support. It is a shame as it was an excellent app when it used to work as advertised.

Excellent product. Great product. Does what it says. 4 stars because sometimes downloads get stuck and tapping on them seems to do nothing. Only thing I can do is delete it. Seems to happen when the Internet connection is poor.

Where is the download function??. New update is great and fantastic. Love the new UI BUT how can I download files from websites now?? Not able to download music or videos now. Before the update when you play a video a pop up asking if you wanted to download comes up but now it’s gone.

Latest release broke some things. I’m adding a three-star review to get the developers attention. For the most part, the latest release works fine on iOS8, but when you try to play a video on my iPad Air, the scrub bar at the top of the video is covered up, making it less useful as a player. I assume this is a model specific problem.

The best app of its kind!. I have been using Amerigo for a while now. I've found it to be the most reliable and functional downloader I've tried. There have always been things I didn't like though. I thought it was kinda ugly, it didn't work in the background, file operations were a bit awkward. But the new Amerigo has none of these old flaws. It is beautiful, it's intuitive, and it is amazing! It's just perfect! Thanks for this useful app.

Cannot auto download. I purchased this app for it automatically download feature but now, after the update, the app cannot auto download anymore.!?

Missing. This app is Missing features that it previously had prior this latest update. Possibly for reasons of Legality I’m not sure. But If you can Watch something for free why can’t you download it. Seems strange to me. Then again I guess the Corporations running the services clam that they lose out on the Metrics. Possibly make an argument based on this that they suffer revenue loss. But basically you cannot download streaming content unless the website pacifically enables you to be able to.

Was good, still buggy. The latest release is so full of bugs. I had to backup my media, delete the app, redownload and reload the media. That fixed the problem with the jog bar disappearing. But now it's all back up and running, I can't create new folders, move media or even delete media from my iPad. Needs a LOT of attention to get it back to former glory. Update - new iPad. New iOs. Still not working at former glory. Every time I download and playback, the scrub bar disappears. ATTENTION Developers - Time for an overhaul. Evolve.

Disappointed. Used to love this app and recommend it to everyone but since the update it doesn't allow you to download files anymore. I am extremely disappointed. Will have to look for another app with the download functionality.

Haven't got it to save all types, but.... Works ok. I've managed to grab quite a few music video files to watch off-line.

Good but I hope they don’t discontinue this for another Subscription bull. Noticed that their free version now requires a subscription to remove in app advertisements. Very concerning as to whether or not the developer will discontinue this paid version for that subscription bucks. If that day comes, I’ll simply switch to alternatives

Design needs improvement. The new design should have highlights and lowlights just like iOS 7; especially in the icon. Otherwise it looks bland. REALLY BLAND. Fast download though!

Constant Crashing. Please for the love of whomever, fix the crash with this program. I'd love to give it five stars, but the playback is poor. I wanted to download some audios I'd purchased from a website. I tried multiple iPad apps that said they could do that, but none of them worked, for one reason or another. Finally I found this app and the downloading was impeccable. I downloaded the audios and other files I wanted. The app was fast and efficient and easy to use. The problem came when I then wanted to listen to the audio files. The "forward" and "back" buttons work for moving to the beginning or the next audio file, but don't work for moving back and forth within that audio file. There is a slider that lets you move around in the audio file, but only crudely. You can move back and forth a few minutes in either direction, but there's no way to go back a minute or two and re-listen to what just played. Listening to two-hour talks in that way was tedious, and I had to replay a lot of material when I missed just a few moments. So, developers, please fix this. It should be easy, and then I'd definitely rate you five stars.

Features removed with update!. Was stupid enough to proceed with latest update only to figure out that the onboard video-to-AAC/MP3 feature was removed. Silly that customers for a paid app gets ripped of features as they are forced to upgrade!

Love it.. but. Let me just say that I am in love with this app, theres so many great features that other music apps don't have. But unfortunately, one of the best features was erased. (Or so I think).. I tried finding the double tab button.. and it wasn't there. :( Now it takes forever to download music since i can't just switch back from one tab to another.. Hope you guys can fix it. Thanks.

Great but. I love this application. But something it's missing. It's turbo download can you add it to next update please. And I think the flat design it's very nice but I think the orange theme it's very bad. I think the blue light in dark so beautiful than now (I mean like old version) or maybe you add new themes for customer choose for themselves like. I expect you fix it. Thank you.

When it crashes. You pretty much lose your open websites.. I know you can check in your site history. But I never once remembered which pages I had open before the app crashed. Would be nice if the app automatically reloaded the pages that crashed along with the app. I can never find them.

Wow!. Amazing app! No more will I have to wait to connect to wifi on my laptop to download my favorite music and videos...I just open this app, find the link, download, and enjoy!!! You should do the same....

Buggy. It downloads everything perfectly but sometimes the download stops and I have to click twice to start up again an then those that do stop downloading later have the "error" when I try to save to camera roll

Great. Does what it claims to do. Nice interface and mostly intuitive use. Method of moving files from one folder to another could be a bit cleaner, and it would be great to be able to select a destination folder for each download.

Great app. I love this app and use it all the time. It does a good job for me. My only complaint is that it crashes when trying to export files and especially large files. If I could export a bit easier with no problems it would be worth 5 stars.

Buggy Update. Love app but a few issues so far. Private mode browsing doesn't seem to work now. I can close app yet still has last page session in progress. Also, would be nice to have a lock for the cloud accounts. Otherwise this app is direct access to them. Maybe make cloud a hide feature like hidden folders? That would be nice.

My go to downloader.. I use to use the Free version that I upgraded. Went ahead and purchased the full version to support the developer. This review is mostly from my experience with the upgraded Free version. Update: Some sites are now requiring Flash to download files. I guess this is in an effort to thwart apps like this one. Update: Swipe to delete would be nice. I am able to download from sites that no other app has allowed me to download files from. I won't mention those sites out of fear that that functionality will be disabled. I have spent a small fortune looking for an app that would allow me to do this.

Turbo Downloader - Amerigo. Says what it does & does what it says. Downloads all types of media very fast. Also gives you some very nice privacy options. My favorite down loader app!

Simply Priceless. Brilliant app with a great dropbox integration for managing files and exporting them to other apps, even better then the Dropbox app. The only thing to complain about is that the browsers homepage is the direction page other than that BRILLIANT!!

Best Downloading App. I've tried a couple other apps but this one is the best I've had. You don't have to worry about the background downloads stopping if you close your phone or anything just keep the app open and it does its thing.

Well what to say???. Love the app but it would be much better if when I downloaded the songs I want if it would actually download and not tell me can't be downloaded. I have always used this app until it started doing this. Now I can't stand using it!!!

If it's not broke, don't fix it!. I would usually give this app a 5, but the new updated browser is terrible. Shows only partial screen on my 5s. Wish they would of kept the old browser. The updated UI is awesome though.

I like it..... but I just recently bought the paid version, and everything is gr8 but once I download a video and I press the save to my camera roll feature, the video isnt there. So I hope they fix this issues. Once they update it, I'll give 5 stars

Almost perfect. Needs a "scrubber" for playing videos. Current version makes me export the video or play video in another app to skip around in the selected video. Please fix.

Best video downloader. I have this program for about 2 years,nothing better than this program.

Great downloader, but the browser needs improvement.. This app is perfect for those interested is finding content to download in their preferred browser app and then using this app to download it. The browser included in this app can be glitchy. I browser feature has shutdown unexpectedly and the back button doesn't always function correctly. If you leave the app by double pressing the home button, a.k.a. the circle button, and return to the app after utilizing another app, e.g. photos, email or messenger, then all the open browser windows will be closed. Overall, this app is a must have for any idevice user. If you don't believe me the try it out for yourself. --------------------------- I am using the iPad mini with the following settings: private browsing: off; platform emulated: Mozilla.

I really like it.... I really like it except the part that it can't download with out streaming it....I hope it get fixed on the next updates...

Sweet. When I first got this app it was the best thing I had ever downloaded and really came in handy for music I wanted, but as of this moment it's a little glitchy and slow and requires restarting often. Can you fix these bugs? Otherwise a great addition to my apps page.

Very useful. I haven't tried all the app in this genre of course but from all the once I have tried I would this has worked out best for me. It could use some UI upgrades but other than that it works like a charm.

Pretty amazing so far, but needs better instructions. I also wish the maker would provide better instructions for another app from the same company, KyCalc! That one is especially hard to figure out. But what this app will do is quite impressive.

Your ALL-NEEDS downloader!!!. This app lets you download EVERYTHING you can possibly ask for. It allows you to convert to audio from video files. Super quick downloads and conversions. Cloud feature also!!! Only 5 stars because i couldnt give it more!!!!!!!!!

Awesome. This is really a great app. I emailed about the iOS 8 updates and they were quick with responses. The update failed at first only because of traffic at the App Store. I waited an hour and tried again. It has been flawless since the update. This was the first app I tried to use after updating to iOS 8 because I utilize it the most. Great job guys.

Amazing. Everything I need to watching videos offline, it's thanks to Amerigo. Love the auto-repeat feature, which I'm a big fan of repeating files. The only issue I have is when I tap the screen when it's in use, I can't see the time or battery life. Unsure if it's Amerigo's fault or my iPhone.....but that's the only fix I need when it comes to this. Five stars!

Wow!. Amazing app! No more will I have to wait to connect to wifi on my laptop to download my favorite music and videos...I just open this app, find the link, download, and enjoy!!! You should do the same....

App does what it says it does.. But there are so many crashes. Almost every time i go to a web page it redirects me to iTunes Store. Every time. Maybe after 3 or 4 times it will eventually stop. Please fix this bug! And ill change to 5 stars.

Best ever for caching videos. Well It's self explanatory, i can bet, you won't get anything like that! It's simply amazing! Sleek and fast and a turbo download feature is just wow!

The BEST Download App Ever. Amerigo is the best! I have tried several similar app and by far, Amerigo is my favorite. It does it job, it discovers the media link and in less than a few ten seconds it shows you if you want to download it or not. Its a convenient and easy to use app. It best work over wifi. Give it a try.

I hate this.... 1. Error downloading when on sleep mode. 2. The task menu under button can't click. It always appear in black. 3. Some of the movie can't download. Thanks for the app I hope you can fix this.

Lost Video Download Ability. My favorite feature of Amerigo was the ability to download videos directly from websites. That feature is gone from 3.0. I’d actually prefer to return to version 2.2. Am I missing something? If not, is there a plan to restore this feature?

Speedy. This browser is speedy enough but the opening page of directions is irritating after a while. Probably this can be eliminated by designating a home page.

Good update...kinda. I do like the new design and the functionality but you took away the only feature I used. After the update I am unable to upload whole folders to the cloud. I regret ever hitting that update button. This app is pretty much useless to me now. I tried contacting the developer from the app but even that's broken. I won't delete the app in the hopes that he will update the app and bring that feature back. I'm so frustrated right now as I used this app everyday and this feature was too important. Please please fix this. I will love you forever. And where the hell is the select all button? Why did you take away that feature?

4 1/2 stars. It's taken a while to figure out exactly how to use it, but I'm finding it dependable so far. Haven't had the crashing problem others wrote about. Wondering if it's possible to download a file without streaming it at the same time. Takes up precious bandwidth.

What happened?!. Before the update on Sep. 20, 2014, the app was great! But now the update screen says that I can't download it. I have enough space. So I uninstalled it, but now it says that Amerigo is no longer available! Is this intentional or accidental? Please fix it soon! :(

like this app.. Very easy to use. You can download nearly everything you want on the internet just with a few clicks.

Don't See Chromecast. I use this to download tutorial videos for EHR, but I can't access the Chromecast button hidden under "Open In" iPad Air. I found the computer Browser URL but casting button to cast videos is hidden under navigation bar. Suppose to been rolled out in May 2014 & refreshed in Sept. I would rate this 5★ if Chromecast worked.

So Far So So Good. I've only had the browser installed for a couple of days, but so far I have not encountered any bugginess, and I like it better than both safari and chrome.
