Finally got it to work.... The new update would keep crashing the App upon opening. I was informed to delete and reinstall the app. That seemed to have done the trick, at first I thought I lost all my purchases, but then I realized I forgot to log back into my account. I'm glad I have access to my magazines again.

I'd give it a zero if I could!. Sure would be nice to read the magazines I paid for! App crashes and closes immediately. Worthless.

Crap app!. Like others, I am also having HUGE problems with this app. I am going to cancel my subscription.

Online only. I used to enjoy reading this on airplanes. The download and offline features have not worked for at least a year. I have quit reading as much, and will not renew if it is still broken. This is very disappointing that app technology has gone backwards AND more importantly, RBA hasn’t forced the issue.

Good Idea Gone Bad. Very poor reliability... better off with the printed magazine version in the mail plus you get it sooner... with this Pixel App, you spend too much time crashing, updating and reloading your library... the same goes for the Mt. Bike Action app... good ideas gone bad

I used to like this app/magazine. The app updated a week or so ago. Since then when I click on the magazine in my Newstand, it pops up "Upgrading Database". A status bar shows up at the top, and barely moves. I leave my tablet thinking this will take a while. Come back, OK its done. Click on the magazine in my Newstand, it starts all over. It would be quicker if I went to the store and bought the magazine....oh wait, then why did I install this app and pay for a electronic version?!?!

Major challenges. What happened to my subscription ?

Crashes at launch. This has been happening to me since the latest update. Please fix it.

Updated. App crashed immediately after update - I delete and reinstalled the App and that fixed it. Now, everything works great!

Interesting magazine, terrible app. Haven’t been able to download an issue for months. Just cancelled.

Fix is to delete app then reloads. I fixed the issue by deleting the RBA app then reloading it to my iPad and iPhone, now it all works great. Did not loose any of the issues I paid for.

September is the latest issue?. The last issue on my iPad is September? Did you stop publishing? My subscription shows active.

App no longer works. This app no longer works after the latest update. Its stuck on updating database. Please fix so we can see our purchased content.

Frustrating. I have dozens of magazine subs and this is the most frustrating. It'll work great then it'll just crash. There's never any communications on the issues so you' re left in the dark as to what's happening. Please either fix it or refund people because I'm paying for a magazine I can't read.

Update broke the app. The last update completely broke the app. It will not open at all now.

Fix your app guys!. It's been a month now and this app and mountain bike action aren't working.. Love the magazines, wish they would hurry on a fix...

Latest Update is a non starter. Latest update just hangs at updating library page for ages then crashes.

App will not open after update. App now immediately crashes -- makes e-version totally unavailable.

Love the app and the magazine, with one issue. Great app. Great magazine. The only issue I have is that I have 8 issues downloaded until January 2017. Since then, I click download and it downloads for that session, once I close the app to do something else, when I come back in, it says that I need to download again and does so on every issue.

Zap Fail. I love RBA but this app is garbage. Shame on Zap for letting it out there before it was fixed/refined/tested. This thing is junk.

One problem!. I know that for most companies now-a-days they have to sale add space to help supplement their companies income. What I'm upset about is that these adds are commercial adds and they start playing as soon as you get within a page of it. It's very annoying especially if you're playing iTunes it automatically stops playing your music and auto starts the commercial add. Road Bike Action you guys are better than this problem or put out an update so this don't keep happening.

Bad update. Updated today to new version 3.0.12 and the app/magazine launches and immediately crashes on my iPad. Can not get it to work at all.

Really bad app.... Can't download my fk May issue, not the first time and is asking me to frkn pay for it... Need u to resolve this ASAP, can't be calling every month to fix the problem!!!

Garbage. This app is terrible. You would think they would have sorted out the issues with downloading and offline usage by now, but no such luck. Time to return to the 1900s and subscribe the paper edition.

Unusable app. App will not consistently download new issues, making it impossible to read offline. Please fix this!

Great magazine on crappy app. Do you want to be shutdown? Get a new app or make a deal with Apple to be on the News+ app…. I travel a lot and like to download magazine for plane travel, but this app is the most frustrating…magazine that are downloaded right before I leave the house disappear off Wi-Fi , making this app worthless. Worst of all, it’s been going on for years…I keep hopping for an update but I think I’ll just cancel the sub.

Love the magazine, hate the update. Great magazine, but the latest update is horrible. All it does is crash the app.

Doesn't work. Used to work on my iTouch then unexpectedly stopped working all together. Customer support was contacted but the fixes suggested it was my device that was to blame...but why would the app work perfectly then suddenly stop working when I download the update?

Spark cyclist. The App is free and it allows you to get every issue faster, easier, and cheaper than buying the paper version. Plus it's the best mag there is.

How stupid are you?. Who doesn't test before they release something. How f'ing stupid. I want the money back for my subscriptions to this and Mountain Bike. Don't hire someone out of grade school to write your apps.

Crashes on Retina iPad. It was working fine for a few days with my online subscription but now it won't load at all from start screen it returns to library. I deleted and reinstalled also rebooted the iPad with now luck. I am not sure if it's on Apple's side or Road Bike Action side. I would rate it much higher obviously if it where functioning properly again I am confident a solution will come soon.

Will not open. Have tried reinstalling. Still will not open.

Stop working. After updating, everything just stop working, plus one year subscription gone. Wonder what explanation will be given...

Magazine great, app....not so much. This app is very frustrating. Previously downloaded issues will frequently and mysteriously become unavailable when you are reading off-line. Perhaps more frustrating than that, frequently, attempts to download issues go like this. Download percentage approaches 70%. Then, instead of receiving a “downloaded” message, closing the issue shows that it is still in “download” status, rather than “open” status- meaning the issue hasn’t downloaded. I have found that the only way to resolve this problem is to delete the app, download the app again, and then log in again. This should not be necessary, and often makes me wonder why I continue to punish myself trying to access the magazine this way. Probably should look for other content delivery options. In summary, considering the number of years this app has been around, I would say it is a solid one star app.

Used to be good. Before the last "update", I could happily download issues and read them on the airplane or in distant wifi free places. Now, however, the issues need to download each time they are opened. Unfortunately, the superior content doesn't compensate for the severe lack of convenience

Immediate Crash! -- FIXED. Deleting and reinstalling fixed the immediate crash issues -- but we shouldn't have to do that and lose all the data we've downloaded.

Useless. The new update has rendered my Road Bike Action and Mountain Bike Action apps useless. Both apps crash making it impossible to read the magazines I have paid for.

Magazine Reader. This magazine reader is the absolute worst! Completely unfunctional. Downloads are lost. Re-downloading takes hours. I'm subscribed to multiple magazines, this reader is the worst. Will cancel my subscription at the end of my term.

Heart monitor/ wrist watch. This is good in tracking your HR and making sure you well and getting the accurate information.

Great magazine with the worst app ever!. The magazine itself is great! I would give the app -1 star if I could. Laggy and buggy fails to open quite a bit. If you are like me and travel forget trying to use it on a plane. Says downloaded but it really does not. Try to download again but still nothing opens. This has been going on for over a year. My suggestion is dump this terrible app and sell through Kindle.

Beta my testing?. Do you pay people to test the app before release or do just hope for the best. Fix the app or return my money.

defective app. subscriber-ship would increase if the app were fixed. very poorly written app. Only subscribe if you plan on being online when reading. “Download” Offline mode does NOT work. You will have to uninstall and reinstall often.

App not working now. With the most recent iPad update this app is no longer working. Total ripoff if you recently subscribed to the magazine with the intent to use this app.

Garbage. The latest update to the app crashes immediately every time you try and open the app. Paying for a subscription that I cannot even view.

Road bike action. I love the magazine, it looks even better on my iPad! I just subscribed (better to get a year's worth - so cheap!). Can't wait for my next issue.

Unusable app. Even with my blazing fast internet this app downloads magazines at dial up speed. If you want to experience what it was like in the 90s, give this app a try.

Major download issues. While most other iPad ezines manage to download in a matter of minutes, this one took over 10 hours to deliver just 77%… And it's not just Road Bike Action but all the other cycling Pixelmags publications available on iTunes (such as Paved and Rouleur). None of these seem to download to completion. Which is something of a major disappointment when you take out a one year subscription like I did! Pixelmags support only advise a restart of the app or or the iPad itself or, if all else fails, to delete and reinstall the app. But this does not help with this ezine or any of the others Pixelmags sells here. It would seem that the real issue is at the server side; something Pixelmags seem not to recognise as a possible issue. I recommend just testing this out with just a one issue trial rather than taking out a subscription like I did. Great magazine. Dysfunctional delivery.

Hate it. This is my very first app review, and I've been downloading apps since apps came out. This app is terrible, it crashes with almost every page turn, it's so frustrating to read that I regret subscribing to this magazine. And even on those rare occasions that I am able to actually progress a few pages without a crash, when it does inevitabilly crash, it resets to where I was before I started reading, causing me to have to move pages forward each time with causes, your guessed it, more crashes! It's a fine magazine, but this app is simply terrible! Please update it ASAP

Most recent version fails to launch on my iPad mini. I restarted my iPad, made no difference.

App Stopped Working. App stopped working - keeps saying they are either doing maintenance or I'm not connected to the Internet. Clearly I'm connected otherwise I wouldn't be leaving this review. Since there is no corporate information for this app so I can get support I contacted the via FB...no response.

Finally!. Brilliant - I can finally get a subscription to a US cycling mag without it costing me a fortune. But why do my downloaded mags keep disappearing? I downloaded three issues, got on a flight, then much to my dismay none of them were there when I opened the App in flight. Not happy. I'd also like to see iPad-specific features rolled out, similar to what Bicycling does. Fix the magazine storage issue and enhance the issues for iPad and you'd have a five star App.
