After last update I lost All my magazines. After last update I lost All my magazines and the app is charging me for the issues that I have bought. Im really unsatisfied, I have subscription since july 2013 and now I can download a single issue without paying for it again, besides the fact that the previous ones are lost!!!

Great Mag - Tech difficulties. Awesome content (5 stars) but new build crashes (1 star). Averages out to a three. Reinstalled app and now crashes on same page every time...weird. Let's get this back up and running quickly...new issue is out!

Useless App. Can’t even download most current issue. Current issues are on the newsstand before I even get access on the app. COMPLETELY USELESS!!!!!

Great mag, bad app. I have to download the issue over and over, which looses my place every time. Text mode articles are not properly aligned with page mode articles, so when I try to switch to text mode for an article, I'm often put into a completely different article. Frustrating. Think I'll cancel and get the dead tree edition instead.

Good but...... This is one of my favorite magazines...i have the bike magazine on my samsung tablet and this is just as good...only one piece of advice...PLEASE make it for iphone 5...other than that its great.

Can't Open!. I've enjoyed the digital subscription for months, but now when I try to open I get 'Upgrading Database' then it crashes. Must be since the last upgrade. Please fix this!

This app is horrible. Don't even bother to download, it won't allow you to purchase anything. It just won't work. Very VERY disappointed. No wonder why it only costs $8.99 because they can't even get it to work. Don't waste your time and get Dirt Rag or any other magazine. At least they work!

Great mag. I was a little reluctant to subscribe when I saw these low star reviews. But I did anyway and have had zero problems. Same great mag as the news stand version. I'd go for it!

ERROR. I purchased all magazines from Jan 2019 - Aug 2019...and then proceeded to download all onto my iPad for offline reading. I can only view 2 of the magazines. All the others tell me there’s an error, with no way to fix. What a waste of money!! DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

Delete then redone load the app. I too had the issue of the magazine not retaining in my downloads. Just delete the app and re-download it. Problem solved. The app now seems fine. Great magazine. Been reading this since winter of '89.

Won't work. Doesn't work since update. I pay for a subscription so this is frustrating.

Could be better. Have to agree with the other reviews. The Table of Contents screen is completely useless and the screen comes up every time you open an issue. It would also be nice if the app remembered what page you were on when you reopen an issue.

Horrible - buggy and no offline viewing. For over a year now I've been having to delete and reinstall the app for it to hold downloaded content (or even to be able to turn on the App). That and the hours of back and forth with their “customer support” (another 1 star) is unacceptable. It was so frustrating that I cancelled my two subscriptions after4+ years. Thee are better magazines out there that you can actually read.

Beware. So I went to the Mountain bike action website, that then prompted me to get the app, but once you get the app and subscribe you cannot get the magazine subscription on your pc as well as your phone. I think you have to subscribe through the website first. Also, on the app the words get jumbled up or covered by a picture so that you can't read what it says in the "text" setting

Terrible app. Love the magazine but this app is worthless. You have to load the magazine every time you want to read it. Therefore it's unreadable when you don't have the internet and it also does not remember where you last stopped reading. Please fix this. It's like having a bike with no wheels.

Cancelled my subscription. I love MBA, but I’m so frustrated by this app I cancelled. I’ll try another mtb magazine.

It works now.... Delete the app and re-download it from the App Store. It should work then. I was having problems with the app crashing like everyone else, but after deleting it completely from my iPad and reinstalling it, everything works fine now...

End of a subscription. I have enjoyed the digital magzine for the last year. I looked forward to downloading it the first of every month then going through it slowly a page at a time. I particularly liked the hyperlinks to the advertisers that let me chose the ones I wanted more information on. However, recently the magazine went with a new compnay to deliver the digital content And bam my access is gone. I sent a help message a was basically told complain to intunes... So needless to say my subscription is over. It is sad as I truly enjoyed the content. However, it is not worth the hassel of fighting to get the back issues and to download the currnt issue. I do not recommend the digital version.

Great magazine, app is rough. Absolutely my favorite mountain bike magazine, but the app needs work. It tends to freeze up in the library screens and worst of all, you have to be connected to the internet for your library to load, even already downloaded issues. Sometimes if I have a magazine already open in the background, it will still open offline, but downloaded content really should be more accessible offline.

Mountain Bike Action. it's about time my favorite magazine made it on my iPad. the app works great, no problem downloading. It crashes less than i do on my Trek!

Works fine for me. Not sure what the griping is all about, works fine for me on my iPad and iPhone. Maybe it’s because I use it at home on WiFi while relaxing rather than staring at a screen while out and about 24/7.

Doesn’t retain downloads. I hate the time I have to waste deleting the app and reloading each time I’ve had an app update to try and rectify loss of offline reading. Combine this with then going through the back and forth with the app developers when that doesn’t work. I do most reading while traveling, so losing ability to read offline defeats value of having magazine on my iPad. It was a stable app for years, but last 2 years not so much.

Horrible!. Love the magazine. I've been reading it since the early 90's. However, trying to read it on the ipad has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my 35 years of being around computers. It is horrid beyond all words except one. Crash, crash, crash, crash, crash, crash, crashhh! I am going to insist that they refund my money or they are losing a lifelong customer. Are you listening MBA?

Love the magazine hate the app. Have been a subscriber for over 10 years. The magazine is a great product for the mt bike community!! This app... no this excuse of an app doesn’t store the issues for offline use and now on my iPad Air it’s not even allowing me to view or attempt to download the issues. I’ll miss the magazine but not this app. Deleting this with a little over two months left in the subscription period because it’s absolutely useless.

Unusable after last update.. Canceled subscription after many, many years because latest version of app is unusable. App will now not open on iPad Pro unless I’m connected to Wi-Fi. Brilliant - let’s make an app on a portable device that you can’t use if you’re outside of an internet connection. It’s like they’re trying to get subscribers to bail. Well, congratulations, it worked. See ya.

Awful app. I love the magazine and desperately want to support such good journalism but I don’t think I have ever found a worse app for a paid subscription. The potential looks good and it’s readable and nicely laid out until you ever-so-slightly touch the screen incorrectly to scroll an article and then it immediately exits back to the cover page to make you start all over again. Simply the most frustrating and awful experience.

Terrible app. Awful performance, no download ability, overall extremely frustrating to use.

Echo others: Content is good, tech is not. The magazine is good. But it can't handle my reading platform (6s). No zoom on photos -screen does not even rotate so the photos look bigger. Some text overlaps or does not exist, as in the sentence does not finish. Silly stuff that should be easy to fix. I'd have paid a couple of bucks more for a more modern website. It's like looking at the Internet on my old horizontal-hinged flip phone. The content is there but it's such a tease.

Update Working. App crashed immediately after update - I delete and reinstalled the App and that fixed it. Now, everything works great!

Need to rewrite the app. it does no work with the new iOS. Don't waste your money. I like the magazine, maybe in a year or so I'll go back to a paper subscription.

Very Frustrating!. Love the content, however the poor app performance (download an issue, yet can't view offline half the time or app tries to re-download?!?) and lack of customer service warrant only one star. I'm actually about to cancel my subscription I'm so frustrated. The app is an obvious afterthought and not a priority with the parent company of Mountain Bike Action.

Crashes. Like others have mentioned, after the last update, this App crashes when you launch it on both the iPhone and iPad. It would be nice if this is fixed prior to the release of the next issue as it makes a subscription worthless if you can't launch the App to view the mag!

Outdated. 2yrs since last app update. Not optimized for any more recent versions of iPhones, looks like it was last revised for fitting iPhone 8 screen ratio.

Blows. Since its inception, this app has never been that good. But since iOS 10 and recent update, almost unusable for me. Mags will downloaded, but aren't retained. I need to be able to read them offline. New format is redundant-3 pages of article previews and then table of contents. Take a cue from Bike app...

Something broke. I used to download a bunch of issue for a trip now you can't download any. I watch it progress through the download progress until about 60%, then it stops. When you try to read again later you have to download again. What happened???

Worthless app, great magazine. How a quality magazine like Mountain Bike Action can choose such an inept digital publisher is beyond me. To MBA STAFF: try using this worthless piece of &$&@ and not being totally embarrassed. You rant about industry wheel sizes and publish letters about companies not living up to their warranties but you take people's money and don't deliver the agreed to product.

Terrible. Worst magazine app ever. I would give it negative stars if possible. Doesn’t download issues for reading offline and customer support is nonexistent as shown by this long-running problem.

Lost my issue. I bought a single issue a couple years ago to try it out. I keep trying to restore that issue. The app tells me I've restored my purchases but it doesn't show up. In fact nothing comes up past 2013. I guess I have a year to look at my magazine before it disappears. Thanks for nothing MBA.

Account disabled, current and back issues lost. I purchased several single issues and a yearly subscription one year ago and have had nothing but problems since MBA switched to another app provider. My account promptly disabled and I never received my last issue. All of my older single issues disappeared as well. After contacting MBA support, I was instructed to contact the app store as it was their problem. This was, of course, incorrect as MBA is responsible for the content not Apple. I was also given a canned response that restoring my content would restore my account which of course failed. Also, in the canned response was a statement stating that older issues would be restored “in a few months”. Huh? Good luck if you buy this app. I would recommend waiting until their migration to this new provider has worked out the bugs.

Mountain Bike Action not. Constantly have to download the mag then do it again and again. Really poor work by the developers. Not even worth the one star. Like the physical mag but the app is a waste of time. Canceling out. Better stuff out their.

Another version without a critical bug fix. Not sure how long I've been waiting but the ability to resume reading after returning still doesn't work. Support has acknowledged it's a known bug, so fix it already. No way I'd recommend this or renew with this type of support. Great content too. Shame.

Works after delete and reinstall.. The App works after deleting and reinstalling it. You will need to know the email and password used to subscribe to this magazine. Other then that, the app and magazine are great.

Great magazine, totally useless app. Like everyone says here, the magazine will fail to download rending offline reading impossible. I’ve reinstalled the app several times, solves the issue for single magazine, them no download again. Love the magazine but their decision to go with such incompetent publisher (hi-torque), will force me to cancel subscription. Really painful as would love to support high quality journalism in our industry.

Sad but true. I hate to give this such a bad review but the app is pointless!!! It just takes you to newsstand to buy an reversion of the magazine. That is lame!!! I thought there would be bike reviews and product reviews and links to sites. But non of that is there. I guess I'll just stick to the paper version of the magazine and your Facebook updates:(

Do not update. Delete and download new.. If you update the app won't work, it will just crash. I found that if you delete it completely then re-download it will work just fine. Would be nice if they put that in their app description.

Crashing fixed by reinstalling!. After updating this App, like everyone else, it kept crashing! I was told to delete and re-install the App, everything is working again. Kinda annoying, but thank you!

Tiresome. I love the magazine, but the app is next to worthless. Get the print edition and save yourself some headaches.

Love the magazine but app has a problem. I love the magazine and have been a subscriber for years but the latest version of the Newsstand app won't keep downloaded issues. Whenever I close the app, or haven't opened it in several days I need to re-download issues which I have previously downloaded. It never used to do this.

Almost unusable. Goes through a torturously slow content load process before allowing user to access the magazine - and it does this every time the app is opened, even for already downloaded editions.

Newsstand. Advert for magazine subscriptions. Cant delete? Bad news. Next day , still cannot delete.

Not using full travel. Like the sweet pun? App still works fine, but not optimised for iPhone 5. You need to zoom on the phone, so making use of the screen makes sense.

Totally unstable/unusable. You would think developers would read reviews. I’ve had this app for years and still the same buggy app.wont let you read downloaded magazines, takes ages to download and then after you download it starts to download again, then refuses to open if you don’t have online connection. If only there was someone that could give the developer a kick up the backside for a poor product.

Offline Reading?. Recently travelled via plane and hoped to catch up on some reading; however, I discovered that I can’t read the magazine when off line. Disappointing for sure

Bad marketing. I tolerate that this is just a scan of the print copy but why do I have to pay a separate subscription for the iPad version. I already bought the subscription on my phone. I would understand if the iPad version is enhanced but it's the same price as the iPhone version. Not cool.

Good app gone bad. What a HUGE step backwards this update has been. Very disappointed.

Good magazine bad application. I like the magazine so I subscribed through the application. One edition then when the second one came out it asked me to pay for it. It will not unsubscribe therefore I cannot re subscribe. Stupid app.

WTH. What is going on with this app?!? Worked fine until the latest July, 2013 update.. Now it crashes while loading app.... UPDATE. You need to delete the app which also deletes all your issues and information. Reinstall the app and re download all issues. yay... I will now be spending the next 48-72 hrs re-downloading my issues, also taking up my very limited Canadian bandwidth. Thanks pixel-mags and Hi-torque publications! New UPDATE. Even with the new update and taking the time to uninstall and reinstall all data the app still crashes albeit now I can read 2-3 pages before it completely quits. Yay! Awesome update fellas. It's a crappier interface which now crashes after every 2 pages read. Only a few more months till subscription is over. Won't be taking my money again.

Slow to load... Pages slow to load even after so called downloaded the latest issue and can’t read offline. No update for 2 years as the developers/hi-torque doesn’t care about its subscribers anymore.

Interactive tablet?. Is there ever going to be a tablet version of the mag? I subscribe to BIKE and am pretty bummed that it's basically just a scan of the mag. It's handy, but by no means high tech or exciting like TransWorld Snow or PopSci. Bring it on!

Pain in the rear. Just want to read the mag but I'm always being bounced from here to there to open the app or issue. Passwords sometimes work, mostly don't. This app/subscription is too clunky and frustrating. Waste of time.

Good magazine, but app doesn't honor subscription. Have been subscriber for a while thru iTunes. July issue is now not showing as available to download, only purchase, even though my subscription is in order. Tried restoring purchases and on multiple devices.

Dead after update. Remains dead several days after the update that killed it. I paid for an annual subscription and bought a special edition for some immediate decision making. The next day I could not access that which I had paid to have access. Are there plans to fix this app???

MBA mag App. No problems opening and reading mag in the app. Easy to use, and I like the link features. Still the best mag.

MBA. I bought this with the intent of getting the new issue faster than the print version. But guess what? The new print version has been on the shelf at the local store for two weeks already and still no digital version. Save your money......

Skip this upgrade. As mentioned in previous reviews, this app crashes instantly upon opening. If you haven't updated yet, skip this version and wait until they offer an update that actually works.

Fix for crashing. I had the crashing problem too, deleted the app, reinstalled, and voila, works like a charm.

Good mtb mag for iPad. Helped me learn enough about mountain biking to get me up to speed before buying a new bike.

Ver 3.0.12. Just upgraded to 3.0.12 on iPad3 and the App just crashes on start up. No menu, nothing can't log into account because the app doesn't even get to that point. Better do some more testing.

I do not recomend this app. I can't download magazines that I previously bought, some of them just do not appear on the store, and others just appear to buy it, even if you paid for it earlier. Mountain bike action is train to steal their customers money.

Auto subscribe scam. Locks you into a auto subscribe and won't let u change, don't bother

Was great. The app is great when it's working. I click on it and it opens for a few seconds and shuts down.

Year subscription - can't access current issue. So I just subscribed to a year of the magazine and it won't allow me to view the current march issue! Looks like they want me to purchase it for an additional $2.99!

I've been cheated. All of the old issues I paid for and downloaded have disappeared and I can't get them to download with the new version of the app. Issues remaining on my subscription are not available to me. Don't waste your money.

The worst.. Just buy the real thing because this never works. I have had it for four issues and only two of them are viewable.

Crashes. New version instantly crashes as soon as the app is selected. Does this on iPhone and iPad.

Latest update killed it. The latest update has lost mu subscription. Love the magazine but I can't even view it with the latest update. I'd avoid this until it is fixed.

No torque. It would be nice to have my update updated so it works, should have read the reviews first, don't update or you'll be in crash mode.

Great Magazine, Terrible App. I can't believe this app won't let you zoom without keeping 2 fingers on the screen to hold it.

Needs Internet to Read Downloaded Issues?. Why?? And if you zoom in on a page it won't hold and pops back out to the full page, which is unbelievable. Zooming in is a basic feature and this app can't even pull that off.

Broken. Over three weeks and they still haven't fixed this app? Completely broken, will not open. I paid for a subscription to this magazine and cannot access it. Seems like I am owed a refund.
