Crashing. As the reviewer wrote earlier, I can't get past age either.
Doesn't work - can't restore subscriptions. The app seems to be fundamentally broken in allowing you to restore an existing subscription. I've reinstalled it several times, and the screen doesn't even render properly. That plus the lack of recent updates makes me believe this has just been abandoned. Too bad.
Ridiculously bad. This app is an insult. It simply doesn’t work. My experience of the magazine is diminished by an inability to read it in the manner that I (and many, many others) prefer. I’m less likely to read it and - please get this part, Reason- less likely to resubscribe because of it. Fix this, or else I’ll have to exercise my power as a consumer (you know- the bedrock principle of your entire philosophy) and go elsewhere.
Stops working. New magazines no longer show up and support never responds to requests. Something wrong here!
Digital access for print subscribers. Dear Reason magazine, Please provide your print subscribers with complementary access to your Digital Magazine. Sincerely, A print subscriber trying to access your content digitally
Lost revenue for Reason. I cancelled my subscription because of this app and inability to load content and it’s constant crashing.
Fail. It doesn’t work. Just use your browser to log in to your account.
Unreadable. Please update for the new iPad. The pixilated text is virtually unreadable in this version.
Were we scammed?. Wow, what a bungle. I like Reason as an organization, and enjoyed this app when it was working. But now, the app seems to have been abandoned, even its servers taken offline. The app no longer loads, and all of my purchases are forever gone! I feel scammed. It seems Reason has a new app, but there is zero chance I’ll be paying for anything on it. Terrible mistake they’ve made.
Subscription Disappeared. I paid for a yearly subscription, and two months later it is telling me that I must subscribe again. Restoring purchases only gives me access to some of the issues I had previously purchased. Be careful about buying a subscription or any single issues through this app. It may suddenly tell you that you must buy them again.
Bummer. Unlike every other magazine I subscribe to, I can't get the Reason app to let me access my Reason print subscription at all.
no for ipod iphone. Subscribed to emag thinking I could read it on ipod touch, like most things online you can choose to zoom text, but this just zooms the whole page, so it is near impossible to read with any flow on a small screen. There is no READER function. What is worse, I can't read it on my laptop, so dumb. Never read a magazine since my first try.
Kelps crashing. Can't subscribe and buying single issues is a frustrating odyssey. Offer your mag on Zinio so folks can actually buy your mag. This so frustrating that if I were liberal, I'd be contacting my lawyer right now.
Can't even set up an account. App crashes ever time it asks for age...can't even get the subscription set up
It was good,but.... It used to be one of the best mag. Unfortunately the display is horrible under the retina screen and the font is ugly. I have to say the whole layout makes it impossible to read.
Unreliable. What is so hard about keeping a magazine subscription app working?
Quality content. Probabaly the most reasonably (no pun intended) priced subscription on the app store as well. Pretty please…update for the iPad retina display.
Always fair, fairly consistent. One of the better publications on shelves, Reason's editors are always sure to keep current events and law in the public eye in a way that excites, challenges, and intrigues, rather than dulling the mind and wit with endless statistics and recent polling data. Reason asks the questions that people are asking while waiting to be frisqued in a TSA line, be audited by the IRS, or fighting an uphill battle with their own local planning board or code enforcement machine.
Subscription. This mag is the exception in that you can't get both print and digital in one subscription. There isn't much of an incentive to subscribe since most of the content is available on the web for free with in a few weeks of publication. The model doesn't work.
Keeps crashing. Won't stay open anymore.
Ugh!. I give this 5 stars for content, but the fact that it hasn't been updated for the retina display drags it down. It's nearly unreadable on the new iPad. Fix it, and I'll rate it 5 stars!
Needs some more effort. I love Reason but their digital magazine feels more like a PDF than a magazine for iPhone/iPad. You have to constantly pinch and zoom in order to read. The actual paper magazine is a better bet until the digital version gets properly formatted for iPhone/iPad. I canceled my auto renew and will now subscribe to the paper version. I need Reason in my life!!!!
Doesn’t Work. I love Reason Magazine but had to cancel my subscription when this app stopped working.
Not free. Love Reason magazine but this isn't free, as it says. Bummer. I don't think it needs to be free but it's listed as free and isn't.
Worst App I’ve ever used. I enjoy reading Reason. I even got a subscription so I could read issues through the app. But it hardly ever worked. For awhile I could get to my issues sometimes, but now the entire app is broken. I can’t even get to the issues I already had & paid for. RIP Reason App. You won’t be missed.
Pay twice?. Why can't I access my print subscription along with a digital? I have a subscription to The Economist and I get both print and digital. Come on, please allow me to view the magazine on my iPad as well as the print edition that I receive. The only other option is to pay twice.
Should be free with subscription to print edition.. Should be free with subscription to print edition.
Account Setup Crashes. I'm unable to set up an account, as the app crashed every time it asks for age.
Doesn't download my subscription. Downloaded and bought a 1 year subscription. Settings shows the subscription correctly, even recognizes it if I try to reenter. But the app doesn't download the issues. Tells me they're available but won't download. Have no idea if the display is as bad as everyone says.
Poor integration with subscription, regular crashes at login. Not ready for prime time. Send back to dev team. Crashes when I try to type age for login, doesn't allow me to share if I am not logged in. Poor quality, no better than a cheap Kindle ap.
Unusable. This might be the worst app in existence. I enjoy reading Reason, but this app is totally useless. It doesn’t work. Full stop. Does not work.
Garbage.. After two years you would think this app would work correctly but no. I think this app was abandoned by Reason and they just haven’t removed it. I just wasted $2.00.
What is the point of this app?. Can’t read recent issues. Also, requires purchase each issue despite being a digital subscriber. Considering cancelling digital subscription after seeing how poor the app is.
So bad. This app is so poor it cannot render the magazine. It’s just a sloppily place pdf that requires pinch zooming and centering just to make it legible. This should be sorted by now. What other distribution methods does Reason use? Are people still getting the dead tree version? Unspeakably bad iOS app.
It doesn't do anything. I would be pleased if it at least crashed. As it is, it does nothing.
Awesome. Love reason
